Bistro Menu.... The menu choices are small and the prices are too high. I went with a lighter meal and only took a couple bites....stay away from the Quinoa Stuffed Pepper. I asked for a beer menu and didn't get one until my second beer. If you're looking for wine, the choices are there. The bread and butter was good. The taste of the onion and poppy seed roll stays for a while so if your with a date or spouse, I'd hold off.

Great food, great service. Hayeden went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable birthday celebration.

The BF and I ate here on our last night in Keystone. We started off with the duck confit and gnocchi, which was absolutely delicious. We savored every bite and would happily order again. I ordered the seared scallops and my boyfriend ordered the lobster macaroni and cheese. We ate every bite, even though we were stuffed. We couldn't stop eating! Everything was so good and the view was absolutely beautiful. We finished the night with the creme brûlée. Everything was wonderful and we would definitely eat here again!

Everything I had here was delicious!!! The first night I stayed at the Keystone Lodge & Spa, I took the shuttle to River Run to find dinner. Yuck...none of those restaurants seemed too good. Then I found out about Bighorn just downstairs in the hotel and I loved it! I actually ate here two days in a row because of the yummy food and convenience. When there's a conference going on, this place gets pretty busy. Most people have to make reservations to get a table. The first night, we only had a party of 3 so there was no wait for a table. The second night, I sat at the bar which has a slightly different menu than the restaurant. -Pan Roasted Chicken: Wow this really surprised me!! I expected just a regular whatever chicken dish since I was trying to be kinda healthy. However, this was freaking delicious. -Summer Berry Salad: Meh..the combination of flavors with a bit weird to me. -Bruschetta: DELICIOUS!! -Flatbread: YUM! I wish there was a different sauce though. -Don't get the blueberry cheesecake. The consistency and flavor was super off. Does not really taste like a cheesecake. -Peach Cobbler: YUMMMMM This review is just for the food. I didn't have to pay for dinner, so I'm not sure if that made a difference in the number of stars I gave. :)

New local in town and checking out what I can walk to. There are great views in the main dining room but unfortunately absent from the more relaxed "bar" side- unless u r looking to watch tv and not the lake and mountains - in which case it's got ya covered. The lobster bisque comes well presented w table side pouring over fennel foam- not my favorite but not bad, many will like it- tiny bit of lobster in it more traditional bisque than new style w lots of lobster (which I prefer)- also kinda cold may be better if it is ever served warmer. For main course went with the Colorado roasted chicken. Amazing! The watermelon BBQ sauce sounds odd but is tremendous - I subbed mashed for potato salad - I'll try as the chef suggests I was so impressed want to go with his full vision next time. Great service and atmosphere - my favorite local place to eat on the slightly higher end so far..

I wavered between a 3 and 4 star review. I leaned towards the 4star because the service was excellent. I had the French onion soup. I love French onion soup and this was pretty good. No complaints but no rave review either. I also had the Buffalo empanadas. I found these to be next to tasteless. Another reviewer recommended these but I recommend against. The beer selection was dismal. This is Colorado and I find this to be unacceptable. This is a fancy place but beer is the new wine. I used to be a wino but now I am a beer snob.

We dined in a party of six and the service was fantastic. While the food was good, the soups lacked a bit of flavor and seasoning in my opinion. The goat cheese and brussel sprout appetizers were very good, and everyone enjoyed their meals, but none were really over the top. Two members of our party had the lobster mac and cheese which had huge chunks of lobster and both really enjoyed the dish. My blackened bison rib eye was also good. The mango chutney really went well with it. I would recommend coming here for the service and ambiance first, food second.

A good place for burgers, the Bighorn Bistro and Bar is a relaxed restaurant located in the Keystone Lodge. The cocktails are OK, but their bloody mary disappointed as the seasoning mix was less than optimal. Service was just OK but started to disappoint when the restaurant/bar got very busy. Enjoy Keystone!

This restaurant is in the Keystone Lodge, and it has absolutely delicious food in addition to remarkable views from your table. Food: we started with calamari, which was fantastic and complimented with an awesome dipping sauce that beats cheap red cocktail sauce any day. They serve warm bread varieties to the table with three different butter flavors, which makes eating bread more fun and tasty. For the entree, we both had the chicken, which comes with sweet potato dumplings that are exquisite. The garlic gravy, beans and leeks bring the whole thing together -- it's a fabulous dish. Service: Lindy is awesome. She came to the table at all the right moments and was really helpful about wine choices and entree decisions. Loved the experience. If you're in Keystone...go here -- it's an awesome experience.

The food is good. But we had to wait way too long for our food. If it were not for the wait I would give it 4 stars.

All is good at the Bighorn. Three of us ate dinner on a Friday evening. I had the quinoa stuffed poblano which was excellent. I also tried some of my friend's buffalo steak and it was very good as well. The service was very good and the atmosphere and view are nice One note on the buffalo - Bighorn's medium-rare is a legit medium-rare. I usually get beef cooked medium and then order buffalo or bison medium-rare. Often when I do this I find that the bison is still over-cooked. That was not the case here

Celebrated a delicious birthday dinner here. Everything was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed the calamari but, I personally loved the bison empanadas for an app. We each tried a different salad. All were great. Each entree was good too. Some of us were smart to save room for dessert by having our entrees boxed. Sorbet was good, the peach basil in particular was terrific. Everyone enjoyed a bite of the peanut butter mousse cheesecake since the portion was so big. I still think I was the winner with the salt caramel creme brûlée. YUM!

Watched the moon rise over the mountain peaks while enjoying an amazing meal filled with brussel sprouts with bacon and pan roasted chicken. Yum! Service was great. The tables by the windows have a sensational view of the Keystone Lake and the mountains.

Enjoyed our experience. Though on a Sunday night they appeared to be slightly understaffed, service was pleasant, timely and informative. Baby kale and melon salad was delicious and not overdressed. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked, but had too much mustard sauce and the bitter unctuous flavor was masked. Trout was wonderful! Not over cooked and the skin had a nice crispness without being crackled. It was served with a rather unremarkable paprika beurre rouge, but the accompanying risotto cake was warm and crispy and had great flavor and texture. My wife had roast chicken, well seasoned, but dry and skin was a bit soft. Her broccoli was crunchy and delicious. The rice pilaf was standard, carrots & onions. As an aside, it doesn't seem as though restaurants put much time into making quality rice, too bad. Enjoyed the openness of the room and they had a good view. Pricing was very reasonable for a resort restaurant. Good job Bighorn Bistro!

Our waiter had 13 people to deal with on 3 separate checks, he did a great job keeping all of the checks straight. Service was slower than we remembered and all though there were empty tables the place seemed under staffed. Big plus they had real ice tea (something lacking in most of the restaurants that we ate at). They made changes to menu items which were new to the menu. The fried calamari and goat cheese appetizers were fabulous. They pride themselves on using local meats and products, and can tell you when asked where things are from. The lobster bisque smelled great and those who had it said it was very good. They messed up the tenderloin orders (every one got some one else's request for doneness), the lamb was a little over cooked by my standards but tasty.
