Has THE best veggie sandwich that I think I've ever had. Everything is so fresh and everyone is very friendly.

Love Woody's!! Local little bookstore that sells great sandwhiches, coffee and tea along with delicious banana bread. The employees are friendly and the owner Michelle I believe her name is. She's a doll!! If your a fan of Chai tea as I am it is divine and yummy:)

They have a nice selection of greeting cards, birthday cards, etc. A lot of nice positive ones. And good banana bread, too.

Just finished jury duty for the day and was craving a good sandwich, and maybe a coffee. This place fits the bill, and it's within steps of the courthouse. Nothing fancy, but a good lunch and my latte wasn't too sweet. Lots of books, magazines and gift items to browse as well. Free wifi for customers too. A few tables- I wouldn't plan to crash for a cozy afternoon here, but for a quick sit-down bite, I'd come again.

They have great mochas and they are one of the few places in town that you can actually find Djarum Black, the clove cigarettes that I often crave. Their selection of books and things seems a bit sparse, but considering that it's a little "everything" shop in the old-town part of Greeley, I don't expect them to carry every single publication that's being printed. It's a great place to stop off and get a tasty coffee, perhaps some hard-to-find cigarettes, and the service is always really friendly.

Free wifi with purchase, cheap drinks, they made your food in front of you, not a huge amount of seating though, great selection of magazines I saw. Friendly employees.

My new thing is to walk downtown for work a little bit early, if I can swing it, and check out the local businesses. In case you haven't noticed, downtown Greeley is on the up right now and I could not be more excited to support it. I stopped by Woody's for a latte today before heading into the office and felt instant regret that I'd overlooked it as a place for coffee dates so often. I was immediately greeted warmly by the person behind the counter, who was scooping dough for oatmeal cookies. Note to self: next time, try those cookies. My iced soy almond mocha was made quickly, with a smile and tasted sooo sweet sooo good. The price was perfect, too. $3 something for two flavorings AND soy? Perfect. After the initial greeting, the customer service continued to be top notch. As I was signing my receipt, the same employee who was making the cookies and greeting me and made my latte (the trifecta) said, "Thanks, Liz," which I thought was a great touch. When I looked up and smiled, he then asked if Elizabeth would have been better. I prefer not to explain my incredibly uncommon nickname for my very common first name to strangers unless I feel they'll have an option to use it again. I simply said, "Liz is fine," with a smile. Once I start going more frequently, I'll sort of introduce myself. To be on the safe side, he said, "Thanks, Elizabeth," as I walked out the door. Very considerate, personable customer service. Latte in hand, I set about pursuing the rest of the shop. True to the name, Woody's is a newsstand. There selection of magazines rivals the actual big city newsstands I've seen. British and French Vogue shelved with the American version. All my favorite feminist magazines and sooo many travel mags, the urge to take a vacation everywhere overwhelmed me. I worked at the now defunct Borders before and during the bankruptcy and liquidation and mourned Greeley's loss of Hastings. Again, I have lament at overlooking Woody's as a place to buy books in town. Their selection isn't the sprawling, all encompassing mass larger stores have taught us to expect but, they are well stocked in best sellers, classics, stand bys, old favorites and an impressive selection of books on cooking and baking. I'm sure they can order books. I'll have to ask on my next visit. What impressed me most, and, if you can't tell, I was extremely impressed, was the store layout and visual merchandising. As I was wondering around, an employee was straighten and organized the immaculate news rack, the shevling of the books was well organized and at some places (the Clive Cussler novels, especially) looked designed to resemble a well thought out bookshelf in your living room. Woody's selection of novelties, jewelry and crafts were equally well done. I've had at least three retail jobs were my position was very heavily focused on visual merchandising with specialty items so I appreciate good design and artful displays heartily. Woody's displays are thoughtful and elegant and clearly well thought out. It looked like a cozy and upscale boutique. I wanted to buy absolutely everything. A lot of that particular merchandise looked locally produced as well. Again, a question for my next visit. I'm really excited to have rediscovered Woody's this way. I plan to update my review based on the notes I've made. 1. Can they order books? 2. Are the jewelry items for sale made locally? 3. Try. Those. Cookies.

Alas, the corner smoke shop, with its vast collection of newspapers and magazines is on the way out. Tobacco has been regulated, so now the corner store adds books and snacks. Woody's is a great place. There are fewer magazines in print, and even those that are in print, offer internet editions. Eventually maybe all magazines and journals will be in internet formats. Until then, thank goodness for stores like Woody's. Not only does Woody's carry magazines, it carries magazines you can hardly find anywhere else in the state. The number of science fiction pocket-sized magazines has dwindled. History magazines seem to have increased. There are a few numismatic magazines, but no banknote magazine, and I don't recall seeing any philatelic magazines. There are football, sports, guns, and hot rod magazines. There are women's magazines, kids' magazines, and a few comics. For what is available in this day and age, I think I'd have to say, barring a few very exceptional, rare stores, Woody's is "as good as it gets!"

When I walked in and was greeted by the sweetest little old man behind the counter, I was already in love. I got a tea (You can't really go wrong. They have a great selection.) and my boyfriend and mom got special coffee drinks. I believe my boyfriend's was called Elvish Mocha or Elvish Dream? Something like that. It was a raspberry hazelnut mocha and he loved it! A little on the sweet side for my taste, but I'm picky. It's a very cute little shop with a great book selection and cute "gift shop" type things. Their seating area would be great for a study group or a quiet coffee date! I can't wait to go back.
