Mad Cow Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I have gotten sandwiches to go from the Mad Cow a handful of times and the male bartender who took my order both times was kind, patient, and helpful. Last night I decided to dine in for the first time, and probably last time. When my boyfriend and I walked in, we were directed to seat ourselves wherever we like by the bartender/server. As we sat down she noticed us looking at the drink menu. She walked past our table, without even stopping to take our drink order or greeting us and said, "If you're going to drink, I need your IDs out on the table right this second." I absolutely expected that I would be required to show some proof of age in order to consume alcohol, however most people will ask for this after you have ordered a drink. My wallet was stolen recently, so I had to use my passport as identification. The bartender sighed loudly as she had to spend an extra 15 seconds searching for my birth date. At this point I wanted to leave, but my boyfriend convinced me to stay as he was very hungry. We waited probably 10 minutes for our drinks. When our drinks were delivered, the server asked if we were ready to order. We were indeed ready and started to put in our order. She walked away while my boyfriend was mid-sentence. The food was good, but my martini was weak. After I paid and got my change, the server simply said, "Here you go." without thanking us for coming in or anything of the sort. That is service 101. Other patrons in the restaurant were a bit older than us; my boyfriend and I are in our early twenties. I noticed that the server was much more attentive, kind, and patient to the other tables. If the Mad Cow continues to treat the younger diners in Greeley the way we were treated, I don't think they will be in business much longer.

Stopped in here too check it out. Like everyone said the potions are big and food is good. Staff was attentive, professional and the bathrooms were clean. This is mainly a sandwich place but they deliver.

My husband and I went the other day for lunch and sat on the porch. The place was pretty dead so the service was quick. I had a Turkey club, my husband has roast beef. We both enjoyed our sandwiches, but I was hoping for a little more variety in the menu. I just thought there would be more beef dishes on the menu with the name being "Mad Cow." All in all it was a good experience and we'll probably go back again.

I visit this restaurant on a weekly basis, the food is excellent and the portions are big enough to take home for a second meal. The ham and bean soup is a must try and I haven't had a sandwich that I haven't loved.

Late lunch on a Saturday...seat yourself. Lovely table near the patio. Super, nice waitstaff. Food was perfectly messy and tasty and priced right. Bottled root beer for the win! Hefty portions and easy leftovers made a great meal at home too.

Got a bloody Mary regular, it was spicy and good! Was kind of brotherly the wait staff. Super slow to respond to us sitting there, had to be told by the manger to help tables. Then the cook and 2 waitresses stopped and gossiped right by where we were sitting in the bar, which is kind of unprofessional in my opinion. The food was amazing! We got a Keri sandwich on sour dough bread with Dijon and it was delish! The sandwich was fresh and perfectly toasted. The soup was Tuscan white bean soup was so good, the ham added the perfect amount of salt. The ham was shredded and fresh made. The Caesar salad was good as well the lettuce was fresh and crisp and dressing only bad thing I have to say is that the chicken it is store bought precooked. Roger the bartender and server was amazing! His drinks and customer service was top notch to all of his 11 tables.

This was our go-to place for great sandwiches at a great price when in town. I felt like there's been a change of staff in the kitchen and possibly ingredients. In the past the sandwich was masterfully prepared and everything on the plate looked fresh. I had a different opinion of it yesterday. The sandwich looked slapped together--way too much condiment spilling out over toasted dry rye bread and didn't care for the sauerkraut. I admit we haven't been there for maybe 6 months and things change, but change should always be for the better.

Great food. We always leave feeling like new men and women. Cheddar broccoli soup and French onion rock! Reuben is delicious. Also a great ambient space with kind service! Highly recommended.

Ate here for the first time and will definitely be back! Food was great and so was the service. Prices are good too. Update: we keep coming back and everything we get is delicious! My favorite sandwich is the Amber's Fav. Its pastrami with sprouts, avocado and cream cheese and it's to die for!!

Great lunch! Atmosphere was very warm, inviting, and friendly. I tried the broccoli ale soup and the roast beef au jus. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and made an excellent suggestions. I highly recommend!

Nice clean looking bar that offers sandwiches. I tried the "Elvis", comes with a great amount of meat; very satisfying. If I was a snake, I would have to unhinge my jaw to get a bite. I also tried the New England Clam Chowder, not better or worse than what you can get from a can -- but I will say it wasn't over salted like many places like to do.

I've been here a few times as it is right by my work. I love it!! If it wouldn't absolutely kill my budget to eat out every day, I would pick to eat here every single time. I've had lunch here several times and been here for happy hour once. I have yet to be disappointed. My tea glass never goes empty (a real feat in and of itself...) and the food is fantastic. I always get the Mary, maybe some day I will try something new, as I have heard that their grilled cheese is great too. Definitely recommend it to anyone out and about in Greeley.

I snuck in here for a bite on a lengthy bike trip recently so I was starving! It is mostly a sandwich shop and bar. No complaints about the food or service. I got a grilled cheese sandwich here where the cheese had some dill in it. I also had a nice, small side salad that accompanied the sandwich. Kind of a nice place in the doldrums of downtown Greeley.

The bartender/host was really nice and was happy to have us come into his place. It was in the "downtown" section of Greeley, which sadly looked like it was a dying species. I suppose coming from NYC I expect more people in the downtown, but this was so sad. It needs more places like this to give it a neighborhood feel. I'd have liked to see the menu to have more options, but the food was really good, and the pastrami sandwich was very yummy. The tomato biqsue was a little too thick though. Overall, a nice place.

I have been here before, and the food was good. We went last night and sat down at a table in front of the bar and sat for 15 minutes without any contact from the waitress or the bartender. We got up and walked out and ate elsewhere. I do like the food here, but this service, on a not so crowded evening, was horrible. We will return, but the service needs to improve a lot.

Stopped by to get some lunch and really enjoyed their "Elvis" sandwich and the tomatoe soup. I needed to take a nap afterwards, as the sandwich was the size of Elvis in his later years.
