I used to kind of like this establishment and have given it and its staff numerous opportunities to shine due to geographical location, and the simple fact that I enjoy the company of some of the staff and its patrons from time to time. However, I seriously doubt this place will ever receive my business again. The staff: Mostly friendly and nice, but some of the bartenders are rude, unattractive and inattentive. I've spent quite a bit of my money in this establishment, (mostly because I was with other people) only to have the barstaff, and the patrons disrespect me. The patrons: I can't even walk away to take a leak without having some hag steal my bar stool while I'm gone, despite the fact that it's quite obvious that I'm returning. This is more of a matter of principle and courtesy than anything else and ties into the disrespecful nature of the patrons and staff alike for accepting this sort of behavior. The bar during afternoon hours is normally filled with miserable middle-aged to late-aged women and even more miserable old douchebag men. During the later hours, the bar serves younger, drunken apes whom lurk arond and feel the need to bother me and my lady friends as we enjoy cocktails. This must explain why I hardly ever see attractive women here during these hours. The food: I've had the pizza, and it was actually pretty good. I've had great experiences here, but the bad experiences are much more memorable than the great ones. With that being said, I'll find somewhere to spend my money.

My experience felt like a Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmare episode. This is a good looking place, I could envision a lunch or dinner and drinks with friends on the patio. Upon further inspection, our booth could use some attention and my menu was dirty and stained. My colleague and I both ordered the NY strip, dinner salad and I got the fettuccini alfredo. Standard dinner salad, very respectable poppy seed vinaigrette. My steak was overdone and grey and my buddy's was tougher than most elk steaks. I'm not a food expert but in my past experiences, grey meat indicates old or poorly handled beef. To their credit, the server was very nice and my meal was comped. They offered to make me something else to dine in or to go but time constraints didn't allow. The saddest part was the beer that I couldn't call cold, at least not to my expectation. Everyone has a "bad day" and I want to give this place a second chance. Probably won't reorder the $27.00 disappointment again.

Went to Cables and had their all you can eat spaghetti. The sauce was bland, did not get any bread. The service was slow, our waitress took forever to come back and see if we had wanted anything else. The place was not very busy, so I don't know what the problem would have been. I checked my bank account a few days later and found I had been charged twice for my bill! I was not happy that a $45.00 dinner had came to a $90.00 dinner!! I had left a message with Cables, as I was not happy with them. They never had the decency to return my call! Needless to say, I will NOT be back! They obviously do not care for their customers, and I do NOT care to go back.

Constantly great food, atmosphere, & the staff is always friendly and courteous. Cables has been one of our weekly staples for years now. We usually get the pizza, which has a great sauce, crust, and is piled on with toppings! My wife has a gluten allergy so she usually gets the club salad and buffalo wings, which are both awesome as well. Cables is a must if your in the Greeley Area!

Ate dinner there a couple of weeks ago because we had a school function nearby. We told the waitress that we were in sort of a hurry and knew what we wanted. She only took the drink order first though. We asked her recommendations on the wine list and she replied, "I don't like wine". Ok, asked for water along with wine but ended up having to ask three times. Son ordered lemonade and had 2 refills and they charged $3.00 per refill. Hope he enjoyed his $9 lemonade. Definitely not happy with this visit. Will not be going back.

As a former employee, I gotta say I'm pretty bummed to see what has become of the food. They used to have great sandwiches but the Connector I had was horrid. This is easy to say but I wouldn't be surprised to find these meatballs are Alpo! No joke. Keith!!! Get off the bar and fix that kitchen!!!!!!!

Nice local restaurant with history. Prices are a bit spendy, food is decent, but not exceptional.

This is a good place to bring friends. The food is very good but the highlight is the pizza. They have traditional Italian food but the options ingredients, and the fire cooked pizza are easily the highlight of the food. They have a full bar that can get a little pricey but is manageable. The biggest downside of the place is the front staff. There are a few people in the wait staff that are terrible. We got salad the same time as the food and drinks were late, the whole bit. The cooks are very good though. Bottom line go with friends sit at the bar order drinks and a specialty pizza. My wife loves the pineapple, cream cheese, and ham or chicken.

Stopped in on a Sunday early evening for a quick bite after a long day visiting the stock show. First impression was it was clean & comfortable. The guy that seated us was friendly and covered the specials (so far so good). Server (Des) immediately tossed out an attitude. There were seven of us in our party and after our corn dog, icecream, sausage on a stick, cotton candied day we all really wanted water to start out with which sent her into a huff. From that point on she was unbelievable, the best word I can think of to describe her would be snotty. She was training (being trained by?) Another girl who was pleasant and professional. Des was completely annoyed when asked a question about the menu, rolled her eyes and made sarcastic comments under her breath throughout our meal. While she was efficient, she so clearly disliked her job or people (maybe just us ?) that I wanted to tell her to go home and think about alternative job choices that do not involve the public. A bad server ruins the whole meal...yes the food had a nice presentation, yes it was hot and fresh, yes it tasted good and we liked it. No the three people that had spaghetti did NOT get bread. Had our server been more pleasant we would have ordered more. Three of us were planning on ordering a wine or beer with dinner which we were rushed through the order and weren't checked back on to do so. Two other people in the party were going to order a pizza to take home but others in group talked out of because of the service. One of the party members was planning on dessert but when server came at end of the meal and shook her head no while asking if anyone wanted dessert that sent a message to CLEARLY not to order dessert. It is really aggravating because there are so few dining choices in Greeley that arent major chains. May or may not try back.

Just not impressed. Service was slow even though they were not busy. (5 occupied tables) My son's cheese pizza was the only thing good. It had more flavor than my calzone.

The food here can be good, if you know what to order. The hamburgers and the pulled-pork nachos were great, offering good flavors and portion sizes. They just can't do anything right when it comes to Italian dishes. The lasgana was under cooked, giving a mushy taste. My father had spagetti, and was given such a small portion -- for the price. The service and the atmosphere are awesome. Went back for pizza, they offer a nice 18" thin slice. I tried one vegi and one meat lovers version. The pizza is decent enough for me to order take-out when I want pizza. Though, they are not cheap, -- and since when I picked up the pizza (20 minutes after calling) the boxes were wet on the bottom. I think if it were fresh and a simple pepperoni version might be the best choice next time.

Consistently unimpressive. One disappointing visit could be a fluke, but two bad meals in a row is my limit. I won't be returning.

Great place. The resteraunt is nicely built but just a bit cramped. The food is great- from the pizza, to the nachos to their sandwiches... all great. Quality food at a reasonable price. A very nice break from the chains elsewhere.

I've eaten at Cables a couple of times since moving to Greeley. i enjoyed my meal both times. The first time I ordered the Mac and Cheese, because I'm always on the look for excellent Mac and Cheese. This definitely was one of the best. Just an ooey gooey, cheesey spectacular. We also wen't on a Tuesday, for their burger special. You get a burger and fries for 6 bucks which is as cheap as you'll get at any fast food restaurant, however, the quality is much better at Cables. I ordered a patty melt (minus onion) and received a juicy burger on rye bread with an awesome thousand-island type dressing. I think the only thing I would say negative about it is some of the menu seems a little overpriced, if you aren't ordering the special.

Just ok, friendly staff but food nothing special although portions are huge and an hour to get a salad @ 12.00 noon on a Saturday when the place is close to empty is way too long

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
