We came in for breakfast and each had an omelet. Well cooked with fresh ingredients and not oily. Great hash browns. Honey walnut and cranberry pancake was unique and delicious. Would definitely come again if we're thru Fruita. We admired the lunch dishes being served to other customers. Everything looked superb. Friendly and fast service. Highly recommend!

Pie is to die for (Peanut Butter specifically). Nice outdoor seating. Good though deliberate service. Right next to downtown. Can't beat location. Awesome burger w/green chili. Super duper soup. Next to Over The Edge bike shop (one of America's best). Crayon container features a pair of Elmos which is a love it or hate it detail (I love it). Must go when in fruita.

This cute little restaurant in old town Fruita was a perfect spot for lunch. It has all sorts of choices. If you come here be sure to order the guacamole. The fried bread taco was also delicious.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. The chili relleno breakfast was awesome as was the Kokepeli Cobb salad and Albuquerque Turkey sandwich. Waitresses were friendly and location was great.

Probably the greatest hamburgers in Mesa County! I have tried all of the hamburgers and each and every one was delicious! My favorite is the "Shroom and grilled onion Burger" with melted swiss cheese. Fries are done the way I like them. Service is top notch! As a working person, I have a limited amount of time for lunch, and I always have been able to get waited on and served in time for my schedule.

Definitely get the steak fries. Nice, big, mushy, and seasoned. The shroom burger tasted like awesomeness

What a great little spot! I asked for a recommendation and my charming and beautiful server suggested the fish tacos, which were delightfully fresh and tasty (see photo). The decor is clean and contemporary with hardwood floors and attractive artwork. The menu is creative but not over the top, and prices are very reasonable considering the great ambiance, excellent food and top shelf service. This is my new favorite Grand Valley restaurant.

We had a great breakfast, very attentive service. The rellenos breakfast special was awesome.

This place is such a find! We randomly decided to stop in Fruita for a late lunch on our way back from a trip in Utah. I am so glad we made it there before they close at 4pm. Everything we had was delicious. The first thing we ordered was a vanilla milkshake... I have no idea what they put in them but they are to die for. Then we got our meals my husband the veggie burger and I got a chicken wrap. Both were delicious and then we topped the meal off with the peanut butter pie that we took to go... it was gone way before we made it back to Denver. Friendly service. Can't wait to go through Fruita again to eat here! They are right off the highway in downtown Fruita so it is super easy to get to.

Delicious sandwiches and great service!! Weekends are very busy so come early. Open for breakfast and lunch only.

Loved! Great service, great food, great atmoshere. I highly recommend Camille's. They have a great expresso bar with regular milk, soy or almond milk - wonderful for those of us with dairy intolerance - and nice big cups - great for those of us who need some java to wake up!

We were in town for biking and wine. I guess we chose poorly as the big country festival was also in town. There was some confusion on how this restaurant worked. There was a long line out the door. We saw you could order food to go so decided to do that. Then we waited outside. While waiting outside one of the wait staff told us there was no wait for the outside seats. The line was for people that wanted to eat inside. We sat outside and then told the waitress we already ordered food to go. She said she would bring it to us outside. All a bit of a mess but I guess this is a unique situation. Usually half to a fourth of the crowd. We got the Camilla's morning special, which is egg they way you want it cooked, toast and a meat. One of us got sausage the other bacon. The special is about $4. This place is on main street and was about a block from where we were staying. Nice staff if not a bit overwhelmed the day we were there. If back in town would try again. Can't beat a $4 breakfast these days.

The place to stop in Fruita! We ate here twice!

Awesome breakfast stop! We were in town for 3 days and went back everyday. Excellent food (the french toast and sausage are so good!), great value, and even made my 5 year old feel like the king of the castle by hanging up his drawings. So happy we found Camilla's!

The first day we visited Katie waited on us. She was a delight. Filled with positive energy and helpful. We order and shared a Navajo taco and finished with a slice of homemade cherry pie ala mode. The taco easily satisfied our two lunch appetites and the cherry pie was warm and freshly made. The Navajo bread could have been a little softer and chewier per my memories of eating on the Navajo reservation in the 70's just outside of Tuba City. All in all a positive experience and worth the $16.62 we paid. The next day we came back and Kim was our guide. We had a chile Relleno Platter and Enchilada Platter. That too was more than adequate and we could have easily have shared one platter. No desert as so room. The charge $25.51 still reasonable. Camilla's is clean and cozy with ample seating and good restrooms. Outdoor seating is available in addition. Easily accessible after touring in the Colorado National Monument.

We went during the Fruita Fall Fest so I was expecting this place to be packed. It was deceivingly spacious. Plenty of room for all that came to eat breakfast, indoors and on the patio. They have some deliciously spicy hot sauce on the table as well as the syrup. Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked to perfection. I always order off the side menu and got scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. So delicious! My mother got French toast and it came with some beautiful fresh fruit and bacon and lots of butter on the side. She loved it. My bf got the rancher burrito special. The picture I uploaded says it all. He was full for the rest of the day. It was loaded! The omelette that my father had was also so delicious! We will definitely be back. If I lived closer, this would be my go to breakfast spot!

Good little spot to grab a pre-ride bite. I ordered "the usual" (eggs, biscuit, hash browns, bacon), and thus wasn't terribly surprised when it was only ordinary -- though, really, frozen hash towns from a bag really don't turn me on at all. My friends had some good dishes, though, including the rellenos and the biker burrito. Service was good, food decent, too. Just nothing spectacular.

My family and I stopped here on the way to Breckenridge for lunch and on the way back to Washington for breakfast. Both times we had great service (the servers were friendly, quick and helpful). Our food was fabulous as well. Had tacos for lunch which were fresh and tasty. Breakfast was my favorite.....had the breakfast burrito and it was quite large with an amazing green chile sauce on top. Their coffee is equally as good. Would definitely recommend!

Four of us had a pleasant lunch here. The menu has a nice variety. I chose the Greek wrap, which had a tasty filling. I particularly liked the texture of the wrap itself which was thinner and not as sticky as some.

Enjoyed a good lunch with the family (6 year old) - lots of good kid selections. He had the corn dog and it was gone in a flash. I had the Kobb salad and it was very nice and fresh. Hubby had the BLT and he really liked it as well. A solid choice for a relaxed meal.

We had lunch at Camilla's and found it to be a very nice experience. The place was very full, but we ended up at a nice booth. Service was responsive and kind. My guest chose a soup and sandwich combination of chicken lime soup and a BLT. The soup tasted homemade and had a nice edge of lime to it. The BLT was excellent and had bacon hanging out both sides (see the picture). I had their famous Dr. Huskey's Garden Sandwich (also referred to as a veggie sandwich on some of the menus) and asked for some green chile on it. It was delicious, full of all sorts of vegetables and the green chile gave it a nice bite. We ordered a piece of peanut butter pie to eat later, got to the car and decided later was now. But didn't have a fork. A quick trip back into Camilla's and the staff happily solved our problem. Great place, great food, great people. Guess you could say it was Grrrrrreat!

Great chicken fried steak and eggs. Real hash browns, not homely fries. Friendly perky breakfast waitresses. Quick service. Will be back.

What a great breakfast nook! The Rellenos, omelettes, and biscuits are delicious! The wait staff is so friendly too.

My husband and I stopped in here on a lark. We have been back since :) The service is friendly and the food is good. The first time I had the grilled cheese sandwich with the Baked potato soup. Very good. Large portions too. Had to take some of mine home. My husband ordered the Reuben sandwich. That was awesome. Good tasting meat, good crunch and a nice marble rye. The second time I also had the Reuben and was not disappointed. We will be going back. Have tried twice actually over the Christmas holiday but it was closed both times. The only bummer was we had just finished hiking the Monument trail and had been dreaming of the Reuben for a few hours.

Outdoor seating, plenty of people watching, lots of choices on the menu I was on a road trip with a girl friend and we decided to stop here after our tour of Colorado Monument! We chose this place over the pizza place cause we had been eating pizza almost the entire trip! Staff seemed nice and then forgot about us. And of course the small town thing of a friend stops in, to say hi and you completely ignore your customers. Oy! We split the turkey club and the tacos. Both were very tasty and i would have liked to enjoy a beer, but since we weren't sure they would ever remember we were there, we went with water! (FYI - there is a $2 split fee if you only get 1 thing, so make sure to get take out if you want to go that route!) If you have a ton of time to kill, give it a go.

We really enjoyed breakfast here recently! The atmosphere is cool, the staff friendly, and the food was fresh and tasted homemade--the bread, biscuits, and tortillas, and green chili. We'll be back!

Charming downtown Fruits has a wonderful homey restaurant. We were travelling on interstate 70 and checked yelp yonder what was nearby. Camilla Kaffe is the place for lunch. My 12 year old demolished the chicken ranch sandwich and I inhaled the mushroom Swiss grilled onion burger. Wonderful cheery waitress Kim gave fast and friendly service. We will keep this on our list of secret happy places to stop when going across the great southwest!

Excellent service and excellent food! Very fast! Portions are huge and enough to share! I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Fruita!!

Good Breakfast. I try to stay away from the rest of the menu, it is not bad but not great. It is a cute small place with outdoor seating in front and back. Service can be slow at times but it is not the worst I have had. They do have a little "coffee shop" inside but I have never order a specialty drink. It is a small town and the picking for a breakfast joint is scarce so Id say give it a try or drive 13 miles into town for more options. Lunch menu has soup/salads, sandwiches, hamburgs, white washed Mexican dishes, green chili ext.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast while getting my bike fixed up next door. Great food, cool atmosphere and super friendly staff. Definitely check it out if you're in the Fruita area!

The veggie sandwich was delicious as was the tuna melt. Some healthy food, mexican and cafe fair at this nice downtown fruita location. Good tea selection as well.

Super place to have breakfast or lunch. A great menu with lots of choices. Wraps, Penni's, Sandwiches, etc. The staff is very friendly, order at the counter and then they bring you the food. Three separate rooms plus two outdoor eating areas are all very relaxing. Local artists hang some of their works on Camilla's wall, all very interesting and for sale. Stop in for a bite, you won't be disappointed.

I guess I expected more from all the positive reviews. I think this fits the Yelp description of 3 stars - A-OK. We had to wait to be seated until one of the front tables was cleared off - in spite of the fact that the back area was mostly empty. And we were seated next to the only filled table in the front section - with 4 realtors talking business - with enthusiasm. Not a problem that they were talking so much and so loudly-- but why seat us there? We ordered the Route 66 Fries to start. I knew they were steak fries (my least favorite type of fries) - and they were tasty! It was a small bowl of steak fries covered with green chile pork sauce, bacon bits (real and generous), cheese and a dollop of sour cream. I thought they were pretty good, but for $7.50?? That is a lot of money for a cereal bowl sized serving. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup combo. It was listed as a "bowl" of soup - but seemed cup sized to me. That said - 5 stars for the homemade soup. It was French onion and had the added treat of well caramelized fresh mushrooms. Broth was full flavored and onions were beautifully cooked. Next time I go - soup will be my order. The half sandwich I ordered was tuna salad. I was served chicken salad (at first I thought it was the mildest of all tunas - but when I pulled out a piece, the texture said that was definitely poultry, not fish). It wasn't bad for chicken. Good, fresh bread. Wonderful and ample sprouts. My husband had a patty melt. He liked it and I was so happy I didn't have to eat it. Again - bread was great and very nicely grilled - not oily as so often happens with a grilled sandwich. But they had gone overboard with the thousand island dressing to the point the burger was super slippery and had a hard time staying inside the bread. Just too gooey for me. Extra points for good beer and having a dessert menu. All in all - you can get good food at Camillas. I think it is very pricey, though (mine was $10 as was my husbands - I think that is a lot for a simple lunch). And you have to order carefully. GET THE SOUP!! SO GOOD.

Had a prime rib burrito smothered in chili verde. Quite tasty. Amazingly satisfying while not being overly filling. Paired nicely with an Odell's Easy Street Wheat on a 90 degree day. Definitely a good stop with good eats, great service and a quant dog-friendly patio. Check it out.

Camila's serves a killer breakfast! Try The Usually, it's a big meal, perfect for a pre-ride calorie boost! The biscuit and gravy is ridiculously good.

This was a cute little diner style restaurant in downtown Fruita. There was a lovely patio to sit outside to eat, but we opted to sit inside. My family each ordered something different and no one was disappointed. I had the Cowboy skillet and did the chicken fried steak substitution. It was amazing! I highly recommend it. My dad had the special which was a burrito the size of my forearm with prime rib as the meat. It was good and the green chili was incredible! Mom had The Usual and said the bacon was cooked perfectly. Everyone also loved the pancakes. Our server, Kalee, was great and very friendly. She kept our coffee topped off and checked back with is just the right amount. Thanks for a great breakfast!

Stopped in here with a group of 9 after some biking. At first they seemed concerned they could handle but they teamed up and got us tables cleared and we were seated quickly. One waitress handled our orders and did so efficiently with good cheer and helpful suggestions. I didn't order a beer, but several in our group did and they commented on the nice selection of craft beers. I had a quesadilla and it was wonderful. Very cheesy like I like it and not too many peppers. We also had chips and salsa at our table and I have to say it was my favorite part of the meal. Very fresh tasting with a great mix of ingredients. Hopefully will get a chance to go back to Fruita sooner than later and check out Camilla's again.

Just had breakfast here this morning..got the great table by the window. Packed with hungry folks. Servers were all cheerful, and working the butts off! Every one of them helped each other with their tables (ex-server here, notices things like this!) Great breakfast (awesome bacon, cooked just as I asked). Biscuits were huge! And I loved their hot sauce. VERY good service and food. Fantastic teamwork, staff!!

Got breakfast burritos and coffee here on our road trip. Service was quick and friendly food was DELISH! I would suggest this place to anyone and everyone I know in Fruita or driving through!

  • Erica F.

I agree with so many others... this is the place to stop in Fruita, driving from either direction. It is delicious and friendly. HUGE packed sandwiches, I had a chicken salad sandwich that was awesome with chicken pieces falling out the sides and fresh bread. Waitress was nice, friendly... set our expectations that everyone had just arrived at once, and so the food would be delayed. Although not great for our road trip efficiency, I appreciated the transparency. Food was worth the wait!

Another good Yelp find on a business trip. My entree-sized Cobb salad was delicious. On the pricey side ($12 just for salad), but quality nourishing food is sometimes hard to find in a small town. So I'll keep my tight-wad feelings to myself.

If you're traveling on 70, take the Fruita exit and try this place. Excellent food, great portions. Staff is very friendly. Cold beer on tap. Food was very good , had the burrito special. Was worth getting off the highway and visiting this town.

Great breakfast spot! In Fruita on a mountain biking trip and this has become our go to breakfast restaurant. Very friendly, attentive service. Great traditional plus Mexican influenced menu choices. Coffee bar and right next to Over the Edge bike shop.
