Colorado Springs Food Guy visited the Island Grill at Frisco Bay Marina located at 249 Marina Rd, Frisco, CO., sits right on the bay with outside patio seating only. This gives the place real Island appeal and also makes the restaurant pet-friendly too. I sampled the Blackened Fish Tacos and the Harris Ranch Angus burger. Both dishes were well-seasoned and bursting with flavor. Live music is always a treat from local bands such as the John Truscelli Band that often play there. Even though summer is coming to an end, a visit to Island Grill at Frisco Bay Marina is a must.

.....for what we paid...it was a ripoff. $10.00 for a small salad, with 4 pieces of shrimp and that's it. $4.00 for watered down beer. What you really are paying for is location. Even though our waitress was nice, and up beat it took over an hour for us to get salads....yes...salads. For how boring the food was it should have taken no more than 5 minutes to have it all done, and served. Very disappointed.

I've always gotten the coconut shrimp and Bloody Mary's here but this time decided to also get the ahi tuna. Bloody was extremely thick and would barely sip up my straw, the ahi tuna ($14) was way over cooked and had no flavor at all but the shrimp was good. My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich, the bread was extremely stale, chicken was kind of dry but overall OK. Pretty disappointed regarding how expensive everything was. Also everything is served on paper plates... Hopefully next time I come back for the bloody it will be better. I've had better experiences!

I gave this one star as there is no option for no stars or negative stars. My husband and I stopped here on our way to the marina. We stood there as the bartender walked by us a few times and never looked at us. He did not acknowledge our presence at all. The while he was walking back and forth he was talking loudly to a guy at the other end of the bar. There were no other folks waiting. I finally went and sat on a stool at the bar and he still never looked at me or at my husband. Way to be! Maybe this is a control thing with him. He showed us who's in charge alright. Service cannot possibly get worse than this. We left.

This restaurant is in a beautiful location right along the Marina. There is plenty of outdoor seating so you can enjoy the weather in the sun or in the shade. The food itself decent for the price, but the main draw to this place is the location and view. Apparently, they have an excellent happy hour, but I was not able to make it out there.

Good atmosphere when the weather is good. Kids and dogs are welcome. However, the food was terrible. Ordered a chicken sandwich. It was a freezer burnt machine made patty, covered in 1/8" of season salt and Cajun blackening sauce. It had the consistency of cartilage and the taste of the crust you scrap off a grill at the end of a night. I could only eat 4 bites, and left the rest. The fish tacos were obviously cooked on the same grill, with the same sauce. Better than the chicken, but barely. $75 bill for 4 people....and we left hungry.

We spend many Friday evenings here sitting outdoors with the music, fish tacos, a drink and our yellow lab. It's an active, fun place to be.

We just had drinks at the Bar, but the drinks were great, the Bartender was friendly and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking! They are Wheelchair Accessible and Dog Friendly. Our puppies sat right next to us at the bar.

The food is overpriced and mediocre. The chicken sandwich was kid sized and not grilled and didn't match the menu description. The side was a mini cup of potato salad all for $11. Service was extremely slow. Come for the atmosphere but there are much better places to eat in Frisco.

The food was mediocre at best, the drinks just so-so, and the service was dreadful. The cheese on my burger was burnt onto the burger, and my "medium well" burger was burned to a crisp (black!) all over... It's too bad considering this place has a prime location on the marina! The ONLY redeeming aspects: the mango daiquiri was all right the environment is beautiful

Perfect place for a sunny afternoon. Good drinks and decent bar food. Don't order the fish tacos- suuuppperr salty. Compostable cups! Yay!

This is a casual place to eat by the water. We sat upstairs on the deck with great views in all directions. The food was good and the drinks and beer cold. We enjoyed black bean burgers while watching the boats with mountains in the background.

One of the best summer spots in the mountains. You can find a good happy hour here from 4-7pm, with live music, kids and dogs roaming around. Beer prices aren't great, but wells and mixed prices are decent $3.50-$5.00. This is a casual outdoor bar and grill that I enjoyed the setting sun at many times this summer.

This is a great little watering hole to come to in the summer months. It's close enough to downtown Frisco and nearby campgrounds for a quick bike ride. Reasonably priced drinks, friendly service and a gorgeous view of Lake Dillon. Haven't tried the food, but it looks like pretty standard bar grub.

The Island Grill at the Frisco Bay Marina is a great little warm-weather place with great food, great views, and good prices. You can choose to sit on the roof deck with 360' views of the mountains and Lake Dillon, or choose the lower deck or the "indoor" tent seating (with canvas walls that shield you from the frequent windy afternoons). The wait staff is friendly, if not always incredibly prompt. They make you feel like a local here (in a good way!) Come between 4pm-7pm for their exceptional happy hour, with $1.50 PBRs, $2.50 microbrews, or for $4.00 you can enjoy their signature Island Sunset, a deceptively smooth and fruity frozen drink. I think they actually limit customers to two each of these very powerful little red, yellow, and orange devils. If you're not acclimated to the altitude yet, take it easy. The food is a little bit more colorful than your average bar fare. They have pulled pork sandwiches, a good asian coleslaw, burritos, burgers, etc, and usually a very tasty daily special. The prices are good for Summit County, where you're generally lucky to get food and drinks for two for under $40. We usually get done at the Island Grill for $30 or so. This place is dog and kid friendly. They are nestled in the marina between vast grassy lawns and the boat piers. The real test of their service was when we had dinner here on the 4th of July. Despite being packed to the gills with hungry and thirsty visitors, our friendly, attentive waitress did not miss a beat! Very impressive for a place that, at all appearances, is run by sailors or surfers or other relaxed individuals. NOTE TO WINTER VISITORS -- I do not think the Island Grill is open in the colder months, given its mostly-outdoors arrangements. Probably open from late May thru September, if I had to guess.

The Island Grill has an amazing spot on the water with fantastic views of the lake from it's rooftop seating area. They have some great beers on tap, including some local ones. The food is good, not great, but the location definitely makes up for it. The fish tacos are pretty good, but the burgers are hit or miss.
