Georgia Boys is in my top 3 best BBQ of all time. The ribs are perfect, fall right off the bone. Other smoked meats like brisket, turkey and burnt ends are also spot on. Great, friendly service with a family friendly environment. Throw in the outside patio and fire pit, and it can't be beat.

I found this place by accident. Me and my son were walking about 2 blocks away and we caught a wiff ...we literally followed or noses. The burnt ends are amazing!!! My son loved the pulled pork. The ribs are good too. Best BBQ around.

I have mixed reviews for this place. The food is amazing every time I go there no matter what I order. However the service in this place is horrible. Almost every time I go there, something goes wrong. Yesterday we arrived around 6:30 as most people were leaving and finishing up so it wasn't too busy at that time. We placed our order and at about 7:15 we asked the waitress where our food was, she goes to the back and realizes she forgot to enter in our order, so we had to wait yet another 30 minutes just to get our food. When our bill arrived, there was no discount or we hadn't even heard from the manager apologizing for the inconvenience. I ended up having to go find the manager and explaining that we wanted a discount for our troubles. She did give us a low discount but we still didn't get the right customer service we were hoping for. We ended up tipping the waitress in cents and left her note telling her not to forget placing orders next time. I will probably not be going back to Georgia Boys anytime soon.

There isn't better BBQ in Colorado. Well, unless you go to the Georgia Boys BBQ location in Longmont. Off the beaten path in little Frederick, CO, this BBQ restaurant is becoming quite noteworthy. It's also expanded into having much more seating in the back, has live music on the weekends, and receiving lots of stellar reviews. Well deserved. My friend stands by the ribs, something I'll try next time. I'm more of a Burnt Ends person, and you choose one of these and another meat. I went with the hot links. Burnt ends were some of the best I've ever had in the US, beating out anything from Kansas City. The beans? GET THEM. There's some meat mixed in, and tons of flavor. The rest may be up to your taste buds, but I think the beans are required. As a BBQ fan, you will like this place. Quick and friendly service too, something that sounds like it has improved over the dates of yelp reviews.

Located in the far off town of Fredrick, CO (yes...I thought it was just a place to get gas too! Who knew this was a real town!) sits one of the most authentic BBQ places I have been to in a while! The pulled pork and burnt ends were very good, and the smoked turkey is as good as you'll find, but the kicker is the huge...no, wait...HUGE....rack of ribs. I highly recommend the trek!

Delicious food! Burnt ends and pulled work were excellent. Kiddo ate the popcorn shrimp and Mac and cheese. Sweet tea was definitely southern sweet. We also started out with fried okra, and took some pecan pie home for later. We will definitely be back. Server and hostess wasn't rude, but not overly welcoming. I'm from North Carolina, and this place makes me feel like I'm back at home.

Finally got a chance to check out Georgia Boys after hearing so many positive things about them... Talk about a major let down. Maybe I got a little spoiled living in KCMO the past few years. Maybe this is a case of too much hype. Or maybe it was the slow service in an empty dining room... Either way, the wife and I were left with an unfavorable impression. She went with the smoked chicken, I with the Burnt Ends. We will not be back.

Fantastic bbq!! We had the brisket burnt ends, ribs and pulled pork. All very good. It was our first time there and will definitely be back! Atmosphere was nice. A mix of Texas bbq joint and sports bar. Great outside patio.

My family and I came here for a Mother's Day. My dad was the one who recommended this place and after glancing at the reviews on Yelp, I was excited to try it. When you go to the restaurant, I believe the front part is "open seating" and the back is the actual sit down restaurant, so we went to the back. We told the hostess we had 5 people so she said she'll push some tables together for us. Not sure how many minutes we waited but we definitely waited several minutes too long. We finally got seated and tried to decide what to order. It actually took us awhile to figure out what to order and by the time we finished we noticed that no server even greeted us. Looking around, the restaurant was not completely busy, there were quite a few open tables, and I even saw most of the servers just standing around the hostess stand and talking to each other. We waited several more minutes and started getting aggravated. If I was not with my family, I would have just walked out, which I actually think they wanted us too since by now it was probably around 8pm and they close in 1 hour. Eventually my dad went to the hostess and told her no one has come to our table and asked if she could get someone to help us. I saw her walk away assuming she talked to the server whose table we are sitting at. However, several more minutes passed and I'm sure my entire family and I were visibly upset. At one point, I think I saw the manager at the hostess stand just talking to the employees and even looking at our table, though I'm not exactly sure if that was her. More minutes passed and by this time I was ready to explode. I told my parents that if no one comes in the next 5 minutes that we should leave. Very soon after that, a guy finally came to our table and apologized to us, said happy mother's day to my mom, and proceeded to take our drink orders. He proceeded to tell us that they are out of ribs and burnt tips, which the ribs were included in the family platter we were about to order. We were able to sub out ribs for another meat (we picked smoked turkey). I think since he knew we were very upset, he threw in an extra medium side dish for no charge for us. SO onto the actual food part. We ordered the family sampler that feeds 4-6 people which includes full slab of ribs, half a chicken, hot links, pulled pork, 4 sides (we got 2 sides of fries, mac and cheese, corn bread, and a free side of slaw), and Texas toast (which I just realized we never received), as well as a small side of sweet potato fries. As soon as the food came, almost all our anger disappeared. The platter was soooo amazing, I really wish I remembered to take a picture!! Everything was very extremely delicious. My favorite was the hot links. The chicken was somewhat juicy, the pork was soft, the fries were super fat but amazing and potato-y, the slaw tasted fresh, and the cornbread looked like pies. My only complaint about the food is the smoked turkey, I felt it was extremely dry. Dipping it in the BBQ sauce made it a little better, but I would not order that again. Also, I did not eat the mac and cheese, but my brother didn't like it too much, he felt that the cheese was kind of powdery like (his words not mine). All in all, the food here is extremely well done, I'm not much of a BBQ person, but this place exceeded my expectations in that aspect. Though the service is left to be desired, our server really made up for it. I really don't want to blame him because I'm not sure if he was supposed to be our server and was just busy or the other servers just refused to serve us. Whatever it is, I'm glad it was him. I'd wish to give this place a higher rating, but after that experience on Mother's Day, a 3 is really pushing it. If they wanted us to leave before closing, they should have served us earlier. Pros: - Food quality - Our server - Seems local-y Cons: - Service is extremely poor

Okay, at least for the present time I think Georgia Boys BBQ and specifically this location with two dining areas and a spacious patio is my current favorite BBQ joint in CO. Even beyond the competition grade BBQ (I'm going on my 5th year as a KCBS certified BBQ judge) are the sides and sauces. Great ribs and burnt ends! The BBQ beans are some of the best around and the sweet potato casserole makes my wife swoon! They even have a hot BBQ sauce that is actually HOT! I mean Ghost Pepper infused hot! Which brings me to this rant... Please don't eat the HOT BBQ sauce and complain about it being too hot! That's what F'd up the hot BBQ sauce at Lulu's in Lafayette. They dumbed their's down for the dumbshit wimped ass "oh eet's too hot" mofos!!! It's hot! If you don't like hot don't F'ing eat it and complain about it! Hey-soos- F'ing-Kripes! End Rant. Now where was I... oh yeah. They also have a taproom complete with some of the local North area breweries like City Star, Verboten, Grimm Bros and Echo. Now I need to get back to a couple of my other favs to see how they are now and how they compare.... I think a BBQ tour may be in order!

The service sucked. Waitress never came back to see how the food was. My brisket plate with two sides was served with cold brisket. Very small portion of sliced brisket for a $15.00 plate. Very disappointed in service by waitress, no name badge short with blonde ponytail.

My husband and I recently went to Georgia Boys in Frederick, we live really close by and hadn't been in for a couple of months and stopped to have lunch this passed Sunday. We noticed the new menus and though they are nice - we were very disappointed about the price additions. When I asked our server to clarify the bbq sandwich plus an extra $1.50 for brisket - what that was all about, we were surprised to see that we'd have to pay an extra fee to have brisket. When I asked if this $10 sandwich came with a side - she said yes, any side. When we got the bill and saw that we were both charged an extra dollar for picking the sweet potato casserole, we were extra disappointed about that. We saw that there were sides that had an additional $1 on top of the $2.75 but didn't know that applied to the side coming with the sandwich. We wished this menu was kept simple, cause then it just feels like we're paying more and more for a small sandwich and a small side. The brisket seemed less smokey too. We were big fans of Georgia Boys, but sad to say, not sure we're going to return after our last visit. Fingers crossed the one in Longmont (heard they have no affiliation) is still delicious with a simple menu.

We have been going since it's open I read some reviews regarding the food running out yes that happens but they make it fresh daily that's what makes this place so wonderful always fresh we went during happy hour last night that starts at 3:00 till 5:30 we had wings and pork tacos that were amazing incredible selection for a five dollar happy hour menu on like a lot of other places I would highly recommend this place great service great staff

This place has good meat, when they are not OUT of the meat. Almost everytime I go they are out of one meat, or another...or sometimes almost all of them. They always have hamburgers and stuff, but out of others. They do have the best BBQ sauce I have ever had. The pricing is a little high. For just food and a drink and tip it is about $15-20 for a person. Pulled pork sandwich is the best (if they have it).

Stopped in on a Saturday. Live bluegrass was awesome, ribs were even better. Topped out with some great, local craft beer! Really local stuff: Echo, Bootstrap, OskarBlues, etc. Fun!

The Macaroni and Cheese and fried okra is fabulous!! I only wish they had a vegetable or side plate meal that vegetarians can order instead of multiple sides. My husband loves the chicken wings.

We've been to this location numerous times and the food is good for bbq in Colorado, but service is always slow. It doesn't seem to matter if it is a busy time or a quiet time and whether you're dining in or carrying out. For example, tonight it took well over 20 minutes to get our carry out order and there was no one else waiting for food in the carry out/front area and we were before the dinner rush. After 20 minutes we finally inquired about our order and found out there was "an issue" with their system that fed the order to the kitchen. I know this isn't a fast food restaurant, but it really seems that slow service is the unapologetic norm. Since there aren't that many restaurant options in Frederick we will probably be back.

Wow! If you like slow smoked meat, this the place for you! The terrific smoke flavor comes through in every bite. Between three of us, we had ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken (an entire 1/2 chicken is one of the meat choices in a combo platter), mac n cheese, green bean casserole, fried okra, corn bread and the loaded baked potato. Everything was unbelievably good. Everything. The corn bread is an option as a side, which seems unusual because most places serve it with every entree, but when we received it we understood why. It's a large pie shaped serving that tastes better than any homemade version I've had anywhere else! The green bean casserole was incredible. And the meats- wow. All tender and flavorful! The chicken and ribs were my favorites. In addition to the great food was a great staff. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Some reviewers have noted that it is a little pricey, but we took leftovers home with enough food for two additional meals each. That breaks down to a very affordable 9 meals. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Wings and ribs are VERY good. Not the best BBQ in Colorado but a close second to other far off destinations and worth a Saturday drive for the family. Service has always been good; very polite, prompt and professional. It's a busy place but there's always room. Portions are not too large but certainly enough to fill you up and the menu actually has other items besides the smoked meat which is nice for those that like a little different salad or a large and very stuffed baked potato. Great southern style iced tea and a lot of beers to chose from. Take the family and check out Firestone while you're there - it's a great little town!

Meh.. Not sure why this place gets all the rave reviews it gets. Tried it and was highly disappointed. My food was all dry.. Brisket, Ribs, Mac and cheese. So much so that I just can't bring myself to give it another try.

First of all, to be fair, I love the Georgia Boys Longmont location. I ranked them five stars as well, I've written to Diner's Drive In's and Dive's that they should visit it, and have probably spent in the thousands of dollars there since they opened a few years ago. I absolutely love their food, so I'm a bit biased. I travel the country for work, and I've eaten a lot of barbecue, and I always end up comparing it back to Georgia Boys. Also to be fair, if this was just some random bbq joint I walked into, I'd likely give it 4 stars instead of 5. Let me explain. The bbq meats are just about as good as their longmont location. The brisket seemed a bit drier to me, but it was still some of the better brisket I've had. This locations had a much fuller menu with had some additional options for sides (Sweet Potato Fries, Hand Cut Fries, some additional veggie options), and also a more full menu - I assume because they have more room to cook the "other" stuff there. For me though, the classic don't need improving. I was also a bit disappointed the only sauce they had was the "Original" sauce, where the Longmont location has 4 or 5 sauces to choose from. Luckily their original sauce is really good, so this isn't necessarily a problem. This location does have a lot more seating available, with many indoor tables and a really nice outdoor patio as well (the longmont location, on the other hand, only has two tables inside and 6 picnic tables outside, and during a busy lunch, theres a good chance you won't get a seat). This location serves soda fountains and alcoholic beverages, which the Longmont location doesn't. If I was looking to take my family out and wanted to make sure we could sit at a table and have wait service, etc. I'd like go to the frederick location. Under other circumstances, the Longmont location is the clear winner for me. :) Luckily, comparisons aside, what you really come here is for the meat and the sides. I always go for the burnt ends if they are available (they sell out quicker), brisket, and the turkey is surprisingly good as well. Sweet Potato Casserole is always a winner for sides, and their mac n cheese is quite good as well.

Show up early or don't be picky! Georgia boys BBQ Smokehouse has some great BBQ, but you must go in early to get the meat you desire as they sell out QUICKLY! My fiancee and I went in for a late dinner and unfortunately only the spare ribs and brisket remained. The service was attentive, but the kitchen sent out our meal before the BBQ nacho appetizer. The regional GM was the one who brought our meal to us and assured us this mistake would be on him; this gentleman had a great personality and showed true passion toward the establishment. Once we did receive the nachos, they were delicious and loaded with succulent brisket chunks. The ribs were also quite good and had a great bark. There were a few options for sauce and I'd highly recommend the Hot version if you're a fan of spicy BBQ like me. For our two sides, we sampled the baked beans and mac n' cheese - our favorite BBQ staples. The mac n' cheese was creamy and delicious but the beans were a little under-cooked and very firm. The piece de resistance however, was the bread pudding. The cubes of bread were crispy on the outside but tender inside and smothered with a pecan-praline-like sauce. When I return to Georgia boys BBQ Smokehouse, I'll be sure to head in early to try their burnt ends - I'd recommend you do the same!

This place is the best bbq I've had in Colorado!!! Its pulled pork salad is my go-to meal. There baked potatoes are baked perfectly! They also have very large portions and a nice selection of beers. The service is always excellent and the prices are very reasonable! My boyfriend and I attend this place on a regular basis because it is so good (and we moved here from nyc so we are a little picky)

Great BBQ! I'm so glad to see a new eatery in town! Place was packed on a Wednesday night. Ribs are soft and pull right off the bone. I personally recommend the pulled pork sandwich- Carolina style (w/cole slaw). Their cole slaw is crisp and fresh with Granny Smith apples. Just a great locally owned business. Way to grow, folks!

Found this place on Yelp and made special trip off the highway to find. Yelp says they close at 9pm. We walked in at 8:01 and the waitress refused to seat us stating that the kitchen was closed. Looked like a good locals place but doubt we'll be back. Too bad they didn't make a smarter hire. Kitchen was definitely still firing food.

This place has amazing barbecue! It's not just the meats that are great either, the sides are all amazing as well. The mac n cheese is so good and the baked beans are the best I think I've ever had! Every time I see a review by a Coloradoan about barbecue and they critique some aspect of the barbecue that is simply different than what they are used too it is just sad. This is different than Kansas City style or a Texas rub but it is amazing as well. I have lived all over the South and this country and this is as good as it gets! Their ghost sauce is the best hot barbecue sauce I have come across. My friend from Alabama agrees it stands up to the best in the south and easily is better than what people from Kansas consider barbecue I have been twice and eaten on the "fast causal" side and the sports bar side. I think it was a very clever idea on their part to use such a unique set up. The service on the sports bar was a bit slow but it was the lunch rush and being from the south we don't mind a slower pace. If I were in a hurry and just wanted a quick pulled pork sandwich to go I have a entire separate restaurant almost to service my needs. I can't wait to have a Left Hand on the nice patio this summer! Keep up the good work guys!

I want to say the mac 'n' cheese side order was amazing. It took over the entire dish and blew it open to smithereens. I could not stop eating that. I equally loved the cornbread, which could have been a pie slice, because of its immense size. The pulled pork was decent. I had a bit of the sweet potato salad. It tasted akin to a pie. It was topped with pecans. I could not believe that it was that delicious. Parking and location might be a problem given that it is in a small town off the highway. There are two sides. I tried the sitting down section with the bar in front of me. There are a lot of television sets around. I suspect that the place is hopping when the actual dinner hour rolls around. I would highly recommend coming in the early dinner hours.

The building has undergone an amazing transformation and is once again the go to food option in Old Town Frederick. A few soft opening jitters but the food is to die for (apologies to the Gabby Gourmet)

I am giving it 4 stars but it really ought to be 3.5. The food is good. Nothing over the top amazing but good BBQ. But they need to train the wait staff. They are new so I am giving them some slack. Bring all the food at once. The wait staff is nice and attentive they just dont seem to be well trained. I am sure it will get better as they get some experience.

AMAZING BBQ!! Beef brisket, savory pulled pork, smoked turkey SO GOOD wasn't dry at all and very moist, smoked wings were juicy inside and crispy skin just the way I like it. Bbq bacon beans to die for, great mac and cheese and delicious fresh bread. Had ALL of that today just for lunch. Much kudos to Sara the manager and Justin the head chef!! A++++++++

My wife and I were in town for a baseball/beer trip and we were visiting Left Hand Brewing. We found this gem near the brewery. The brisket was great, though it does seem to be served knowing you'll dump one of their 4-5 sauces on it. All of the sauces were great. The sides were great. We showed up out of the blue and had a great experience.

This would have easily been a 5 star review, but even a few weeks later the thing that sticks with me most about my experience were the flies- they were everywhere!! There had to have been dozens of flies buzzing around, to the extent that my meal was interrupted multiple times as I tried to shoo them off my food, and my children's food. And normally, I wouldn't make such a big deal, but the restaurant didn't seem to be doing anything about it as they had stacks of dirty dishes in the tubs on the trash cans by the door. Taking away dirty plates would certainly have been a valiant attempt at controlling this problem. Even having the waitress acknowledge their presence with an apology- I get it this time of year, with the amount of rain we've had, they are everywhere. Beyond that, this place has a certain small town charm and great service. I was excited to see their varied beer list of local beers. And then the food, oh the food! Between everyone in my party I was able to try the burnt ends, pulled pork, hot links, ribs, mac n cheese, corn bread, cole slaw, and sweet potato casserole. The meat was all phenomenal! And the standouts on the sides were definitely the sweet potato casserole and beans (well according to my husband who said they were the best he'd ever had). That sweet potato casserole was decadent, and more like a dessert, but so tasty! Definitely a craveable contender!! The cole slaw was very fresh with some unique flavors that we really enjoyed. The mac n cheese was a little bland and gummy. A little pricier than some BBQ places, but the quality was there so it was a price I was happy to pay! This place is totally worth the drive if you're looking to explore north of metro Denver.

Believe the reviews that mention bad service. I've been here several times at different times during the day/evening and it doesn't matter who you get the service will be slow and indifferent. Seriously I've had to raise my hand with an empty glass to get someone's attention for a refill. Basically they take your order and forget about you. The food comes to the table and they forget about you. This happens whether the place is busy or slow. The food is good but I have definitely had better. What keeps me coming back is it's better than the chains Dave's etc. Sometimes I want BBQ and nothing else will do so I head here. Until something better comes along I will unfortunately have to deal with the less than mediocre service. Come to think of it I will just get it to go next time. I'd rather eat it in the park down the street than deal with the service.

Heard from a friend to try Georgia Boys Smokehouse in Frederick for great BBQ! Boy was he right....the food was so wonderful. I had the burnt ends, potato salad and beans. I am now craving them again....So delish!! I must say the service could be better......not attentive, very slow. I was even stopped by another patron who asked me if our service was not the best. I will return as it was the best BBQ I have every had, just hope the service turns around.

Best outdoor dinning in town! Good food, great service but be ready to wait for a table on the weekends. We always have the 3 meat plate and share between two. We've had their beef and pork, no complaints! It's smokey but moist. I love their sides. The coleslaw is fresh, crunchy and pretty delish. Mac and cheese is a bit creamy but good. Their fries are unique so give them a go!

I've eaten at the restaurant in Frederick and had their Longmont location cater. Both times were good. Food is tasty. I plan on going back. The one frustration I've had at the restaurant is the service. It can be good, but it can also be terribly slow.

Ate here Wednesday of this week and tonight and I've found the BEST SHRIMP PO-BOY in Colorado! You may say who cares about a po-boy in a barbecue place, but I'm from near New Orleans so this has made me sooo happy! I've looked and looked for french bread like you can get in New Orleans --somewhere - anywhere in Colorado and haven't not been able to until now. That was the best french bread and they make it themselves!! That makes it even better. And the shrimp were so flavorful and season/fried just right - I was in heaven! And they have hand-cut french fries too! Those are hard to find anywhere anymore either. Oh by the way the Ruben with sauerkraut, the "brisket cheese steak" and the hamburger of the day with goat cheese were the best ever also said my dinner companions. My new favorite restaurant. Haven't been to the one in Longmont yet.

Woops! Checked in here March 29th and enjoyed it so much while I was here that I forgot to write my review! Had to hop up here with my southerner.... Can't have a name like Georgia Boys if you aren't from there. After having followed the GPS into a neighborhood in Frederick, we managed to find our way to the actual smokehouse location. What a hoot that was. This place was built to fill, and they were plenty busy on the weekend we went up to give it a try. Ordered the three meat plate with turkey, pork and sausage with mac and cheese and potato salad for the sides. They have a regular sauce and a HOT sauce. We, of course tried both. The regular was a little too sweet for my liking and the hot was actually HOT (unlike most places) I found that a ratio of 1/3 hot to 2/3 regular was perfect to top our meats with. The potato salad was just right, not too much dill, may or mustard, just good potato salad. The mac cheese was a good southern side as well. We sat and ate at the bar, and really enjoyed our talkative bartender. She was really friendly and explained some of the local beers they have on tap. Happy to see another restaurant who is helping our local craft breweries by putting them on tap. Will definitely go back, though we won't laugh as hard trying to find it as we know where it is now.

Best BBQ place I've had. Food is great and the price is really reasonable. Service was great and the atmosphere is really good and fun. Been there twice and will definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommended for a great place to eat good bbq and have a great time with friends and family!

I have tried to love this place out of lack of other options in the are and the cute outdoor patio. I went here when they first opened. My boyfriend and I sat outside in the cute patio. We both tried to order several draft beers off of the beer list but all were unavailable. To the point I asked "What do you have?" The appetizer was decent but the service subpar. Three of us went there two weekends ago (out of protest from my boyfriend and his friend. They agreed with the condition that we sit outside) I asked the host if we could sit at the open but dirty (regular four person) table outside. I was told that it was for larger groups. I said, "I guess we will leave then". The host didn't care. And we left. Unfortunately we will not be giving this place a 3rd try. I've wanted to love this place but the service has made it impossible.

Georgia Boys BBQ catered our company picnic at Union Reservoir in August. The service was great and the food was delicious! Donna, the catering manager, put together a great selection of meats and sides to serve 200 people. There was something for everyone at a reasonable price. The ordering process was effortless. Two servers provided the set up, managed the food line, and took care of all the clean up and packaging of leftovers when the party was done. THANK YOU to Donna, the two ladies who worked so hard at our party, and Mike from the Smokehouse who came by to check on our food supply. I would highly recommend Georgia Boys for your next event. Our guests really enjoyed the food and the party was a success!

The need to update the hours on Yelp we found this place on Yelp pulled off the freeway went out of our way and they are closed

It's nice to have a good quality restaurant in our little town. I was very pleased with our experience at Georgia Boys. They have the restaurant split into two sides: there's the sit-down, full-service side (which we did) and the other side is more of a quick-service side. There is still room to sit and eat on the quicker side and the food choices are the same but it seems to be built more for to-go orders. I'll have to try it sometime to really figure that out. We went on a really sunny and warm day in March so we decided to sit outside; their patio is lovely! I can't wait to enjoy that this summer. They have some really interesting, not just your run-of-the-mill beers on tap too. So I'll start off by saying that BBQ is not my favorite. It's not something that we eat often so I don't have a great gauge on what is FANTASTIC BBQ and what's just ok. But for my own tastes, I will say that I really liked the food that we had. I got the turkey breast plate with BBQ beans and the skillet cornbread. It was very tasty! They brought out two bottles of BBQ sauce - one regular and one spicy so you can control how much of each is used. I liked both...I mixed the spicy and the regular together. Yum. My guy got the three-meat plate with brisket, ribs, and pulled pork with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. He seemed to really like his too. The waitstaff was very friendly, the service was quick and the food was good. We'll definitely return, sooner than later!

I think I just found my new go to BBQ place!!! Wow, the ribs were moist and falling off the bone. The sauces were delicious. The baked beans were complemented by shredded pork or brisket...not sure which, but these aren't your vegetarian beans! Yummy mac and cheese. And the staff was very friendly. Thank the powers that be that this place is 10 miles away or I'd probably gain a lot of weight!

This place is good. They are a bit pricey, and I have had some unfavorable experiences there, one time they told me they were out of bbq, seriously, and so I ordered something else with a beer, and the beer was flat! Lol. Lack of options in the area works in their favor I suppose, but I will continue to go back. I really like their chicken wings!

At least they're consistent. Service sucks but the food is good. Don't sit in the front take out room they will take your order and forget about you while 3 employees stand at the counter and gossip. Eat there id get it to go, as you'll have better service at McDonald's.

Gorgeous outdoor sitting area. What a treasure in Frederick. Delicious BBQ. This place rocks! It's a tap house, too. Unfortunately for me, I was there on work lunch. I will go back some evening and enjoy a beer with a meal. Atmosphere is awesome - outdoor sitting area: intimate yet social. I'm so jealous, wish I lived in Frederick just for this place.

Everything is wonderful.... Homemade and original flavors on all the dishes. From broccoli to ribs and potato salad. Ribs were smoked perfectly. My wife had a Reuben that was made with brisket and original. And homemade fried donuts with syrup and chocolate. Awesome!!!!

Best bbq I have had outside of home made. The apps are awesome and the ribs are just as good. I like to mix the ghost sauce and the bbq sauce together on the ribs. They also make or push button a mean sweet tea which goes well with all the other flavors you will be enjoying. It only lost a star because of the service being horribly slow if you are there with any kind of crowd.

The best BBQ I have had since I left the state of Georgia! My favorite on their menu is the roasted chicken. It's juicy inside, and the skin is crispy. I usually pull off the skin when I eat chicken, but theirs is so crispy and well seasoned that I have to eat it. They have a full bar with about 20 beers on tap, & a few specialty drinks of their own concocting, such as the Georgia Rita, the Georgia Spiked Tea, the Georgia Spritzer, and the Southern Sweet Grass. On Saturday night place was packed, and there was live bluegrass music playing, along with football about 6 TV's in the main dining area.

Best bbq we've found since moving out of the South! Most places will have good meat OR good sides, but not both. Except for Georgia Boys! Even our picky toddlers clean their plates here, which is a rare event. Love the beer selection from local breweries as well.

A nice addition to our small town! I had the BBQ "burnt ends" sandwich with melted cheese and bacon. Ohhhhh, I'm a bad girl! Very generous portions of meat and it was heavenly. I even took some of the fallen soldiers and added them to my baked potato. Yumm! Hopefully Georgia Boys will do well in Frederick. They have a unique setup; full service in the back and casual-serve-yourself in the front. Or, just take it to go like we did. We will be back!

By far the best bbq I've eaten in Colorado. Hands down, no contest. They have an array of interesting sauces as well as the classics. The kicker is the southern gold sauce, if you like mustard bbq like I do it's some of the best you will try anywhere. Coming from the south I have to say it's easily as good or better than most places I've been to across North and South Carolina. And that is high praise. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, and worth the drive if you don't live close

Hands down, the best barbeque in Colorado. It's worth the drive to Frederick. If you live in the North part of Denver, it's really not as far as you might think. It's a quaint little town and Georgia Boys is putting it on the map. Their ribs are perfect. Smoky, tender, lots of meat. Mmmhmm. The hotlinks are also delicious. And for something different, try the smoked meatloaf. My only minor complaint about the smoked meatloaf was the portion size was a bit small. Otherwise, it's da bomb. One of my main complaints about other barbeque places is the sides. And that is one of my favorite things about Georgia Boys. All their sides are good. They all have homemade, fresh flavor. No out of a plastic container feeling. They also have a place in Longmont. It's the same quality food, but a little smaller joint. The Frederick location is my new fave. Go, try it. You won't be disappointed.

This place was tasty. I had the ribs (not as meaty as I would prefer), brisket, and links. I really wish I didn't mess up and get the brisket because my intention was to try the burnt ends. You might say, "then just try that next time!" Maybe in a while. It was kind of pricey. But I'll be back...

We go to Georgia Boys a ton! Never had a bad experience, it is a bit loud but it's a good atmosphere. Their are a few un-friendly staff members but the food is amazing, and keeps us going back!

I stopped in here this past Sunday with my family. They have a very nice shaded area where my son was able to play because he hates to sit still for too long. We ordered the three meat platter to share. We tried the pulled pork, smoked turkey, and sliced brisket. They were all very good especially the brisket. For the price of the platter we were expecting a larger portion size but it was all very tasty regardless. We finished with the Nana's Banana Pudding, it is awesome! I just wanted to keep eating it but my son had different ideas! We will be back soon!

GREAT BBQ!! My Hunny an I stopped here last minute last night, Friday. We had been wanting to try the new place in town. They have a neat concept of a sports bar "fast service" area in the front and a larger area in the back for a more style restaurant experience. We ate in the back. We sat at the bar and Rachel, the bartender, took care of us. The atmosphere was relaxing, and fun. Rachel was personable, knowledgeable, and full of personality-the good kind!! I ordered the brisket sandwich with mac n cheese and sweet pot fries, Hunny ordered the hot link sandwich with pot salad. Both dishes were delicious. My brisket was lean and juicy, and the sauce just plain yummy. Hunny put their hot n spicy sauce on his hot links (Hunny likes to eat spicy upon spicy) and said " that 's the perfect hot link sandwich! " I like spicy, but that sauce was tooooo spicy for me :) BE WARNED.. lips will tingle for a while after easting some of that!! The mac n cheese was evil delicious an fries, crispy and pretty good. They also have 22 beers on tap, most of them are local brewers. W are beer peeps so this was an extra bonus. This is a most wonderful addition to lil' downtown Frederick, we will be frequent patrons to this most delicious new spot, for sure!

My husband and I have been to Georgia Boys BBQ Smokehouse on several occasions and experienced the good and the bad. Tonight was one of the bad night. The dining room was pretty empty and the service was very slow. The staff really didn't seem to care about much. My glass remained empty and was never offered a refill. On several occasions we have had to get up to ask for things we needed at the table such as salt and pepper (not on all tables), ranch dressing, tea refills, silverware. They drop your food off and you don't see them much after that. Their food has been good but we have found that in the middle of the week it tastes like it has been reheated and is not fresh. Their food has been good enough that we have ordered take out for Thanksgiving and special occasions. The burnt ends are very good! That is if you are lucky and they have not run out. This brings me to the biggest problem. The last three times we have come in we have not been able to get what we wanted off the menu. Tonight was one of those times. I have included a picture of what I am talking about. I think somebody needs to start managing this restaurant that knows what they are doing. The clock is ticking and if this keeps up it will tick the place closed down. This place needs to be cleaned up. It is dirty!
