The "other side" oh the Saloon is the Creekside Eatery. Excellent lunch! We had enormous bowls of some of the best green chili we have had since moving to Colorado! We order green chili in most any local (vs chain) restaurant we visit and Crooked Creek Saloon and Creekside Eatery serves among the best. It was nearly a stew - just fine pork and green chili. The baked potato skins were potatoes halved - a meal in itself! We took out half of the huge helpings of chili and potato skins. Friendly server, warm, cosy atmosphere. Hopefully we will return.

Crooked Creek Saloon is really the only game in this town if you're looking to drink past 11pm at night. You won't find a ton of folks out and about here, but the ones that are define small mountain town sweethearts. The drinks are really cheap, there's live music, and they have an outdoor patio to smoke cigars or other stuff that's legal in Colorado on. Overall, I think I'd definitely come back to this bar. Even if it didn't have a late night monopoly on the Fraser strip.

Great service and the food is great as well. 1.50 tacos on Mondays tons of meat and veggies on them. Plus cheap beers. The .50 wings are tough to beat. Happy hour from 4-7!

The Green Chili Fries rock! Can't go wrong with an order of these and a beer. They have a pool table in the bar area. It wasn't far from the Colorado Adventure Park in Fraser and we were hungry so we chose the Crooked Creek. The burger was good not the best in the valley but good. They had live music that night so that was cool. They were busy so service was a little slow. We sat in the bar and the girl had to run the bar and the tables in the bar. It was fun to try a different place. It is definitely a local's hang out. When you want something different try the Crooked Creek.

Horrible service. Inadequate food that was overlooked or failed to live up any expectation even the basic person with no taste palate would expect. See my checkin for a more detailed experience but this place sucks for food and service. It should just be a bar where you can't screw up this bad

Eight of us arrived at 10am on Saturday November 29th and were sat in the restaurant area (We were the only table there at the time). Our waitress brings cups of ice and then returns with pitchers of water and asks if we are ready to order. We haven't even received menu's yet! She then proceeds to claim she just woke up. We ask about the owners to see if it has changed hands recently and she says she has no clue because she's only been working there for two weeks. After ordering, the food took about 30 minutes to start coming out two meals at a time with around 5 minutes in between. So after the third trip and 15 minutes, we ask the waitress where the last two meals were. She looked very confused and says "8 people are a lot to keep track of." She then goes to the kitchen and comes back and said they would be just a few minutes, not admitting fault or apologizing for somehow forgetting to ring in all the food for her only table (which she wrote the order down for). After almost 30 more minutes, the last two meals finally come out and the waitress delivers it with no apologies. One of the two gentleman in my group whose food was forgotten proceeds to ask the waitress if she is going to comp his meal because she forgot it. She looks at him and says "Do you want it for free?" He says yes and she leaves. We are finished eating and have to flag the waitress down and ask for a check as she does not check back once to see how the forgotten food tasted. She delivers the check without saying a word and walks off. The forgotten meals were not discounted at all and the bartender came over to grab our payment. She was very nice and more personable in 5 minutes of dealing with her than our waitress was the whole meal. She comped 50% off the two entrees for us and we went on our way. This establishment needs a lot of help to get a return visit from anybody in my group. The waitress doesn't know basic menu knowledge or who the owners even are. She forgot our food, gave the wrong dish to 3 different persons in our group, and didn't once check on us to see how we were doing. The food was under-seasoned, and fair at best. With so many nearby places to get great food and great service, I wouldn't waste your time going to Crooked Creek Saloon.

Very friendly place with burgers, onion rings, tater tots, as well as a fresh salad bar, and other healthy options. Great place to try a buffalo burger, and five screens to catch the game of your choice. Very reasonably priced too!

Great Fatboy burger and fries. DO NOT GET THE BIG BURRITO. Very small and not worth $15. Service was slow and food came out way too long. Have come here for years so service maybe just bad waiter this time.

We presume pricing in the cool little place is consistent. Might want to pass this one by on your next trip through Winter Park/Fraiser. Seems an evil elf resides in the basement and dictates his pricing for the day depending on his mood. Tuesday, our pitcher of Bud was $8. Good enough. Today, the same pitcher was $13. Sean, our bartender both Tuesday and today had only one thing to say: "I just push the buttons". ( I think he's the little elf, just saying' ). Chuck Wagon in Granby is worth the drive.

What a lucky find! We were driving through Fraser last night looking for a place to eat & happened on Creekside. The service was outstanding, they treated everyone very well, adults & kids alike. Appetizers, salad bar, and entrees were all very tasty and perfect temp. Our party of six enjoyed their meals...soup & salad, chicken fried steak, burgers. All very good! The owner, our main waitress, and at least 3 other people gave us fun, impeccable service. They have games to play while u wait for dinner, TVs with sports on in one room, and cool decor. Topping it off was dessert. Try the Creekside Cookie...you'll be glad you did!

Dawn was a great bar tender. Burger was awesome. Good beer selection. Easy location right off the main road a few miles from Winter Park. This is a fun, often locals driven, bar and grill. FYI this is not a fancy place but the food was very good and much more affordable than the slopes.

My husband and I both had beers, chips and salsa and beers. It was great food. We enjoyed the atmosphere and there were TV's with the ball game on. Great experience!!! Looking forward to our next visit!

Service was great. Salad bar left a little to be desired. Prime rib was good. Hamburger was just alright. Dessert was great. All in all we would definitely be back.

After meeting the rude, sarcastic owner, I knew I'd never step foot in this establishment again. From the butt-ugly inarticulate attempts at saloon girl pinup art slapped on the exterior and interior of this place, to the lackluster attempt at a "western saloon motif", I'd highly recommend spending your money elsewhere. Who cares about the food??! Thumbs DOWN, folks!

We had a very pleasant lunch here, good hamburger with home cut fries and an excellent Philly steak special that used prime rib for the meat. Yummy! The atmosphere is unusual running the gamut from casual bar with lots of tv's to a step or two up and very pleasant. The only reason for the four star review is the lack of a variety of specialized brews that Colorado is known for. I can't yet speak to other menu options but I will be returning to try more choices!

Unexpectedly delicious food in Fraser. Huge delicious portions and cheap beer. I love the sweet potato fries, the bleu cheese wedge, the soups... basically everything I've tried I really like. They even have a Paleo Plate! Plus, if you come on Tuesdays, you can enjoy trivia!

Just returned from WP and have to rate this place a huge thumbs up.....great food, homemade soups, yum!! The Mac and Cheese is out of this world and the portion could feed 4......great owners, great service, and even better food!!! PS- If you're a Buffalo fan, you've got to get that burger!!!!!

I didn't eat any food, only drank at the bar. Tender and Townies were friendly and I enjoyed some good conversation about football while drinking $2 PBR. It's not a super fancy place, but if you're waiting for the train stop on by.

Solid place. One of the more consistent restaurants in the area. Friendly staff and quality food. The bar smells funny but its a locals place with good food, very fair prices. One of the best places in the valley. Worth the drive from Winter Park.

Crooked Creek Saloon is my favorite place to eat. The food is awesome. The prices are great. I cannot say enough good things. It is not fancy, it is a restaurant attached to a bar, but it is the best. Don't expect a high class restaurant - it is very down to earth. But you must eat here!

Worst service I've had in a long time. The server was really rude to us. She acted like she was too busy and put out to serve us, even though the place wasn't very busy. The green chili and fish tacos were good, so it gets 2 stars instead of 1.

Crooked Creek is a great whole family pleaser. There's a bit of everything on the menu and everything we tasted was done well. Standouts from our orders included the savory soups at the salad bar, which are all made homemade by a chef who specializes in soups. The buffalo burger and sweet potato fries are a no brainer. The menu has some thoughtful, homemade vegetarian options (the owner is apparently veggie) as well. My little sister, who rarely eats veggies devoured a veggie burger. Beers were well priced and included some local micros. The restaurant in the back and bar at the front were recently redone and nicer than described by previous reviews. Perfect choice for a casual, reasonably priced, healthy night out after hitting the hills.

Headed up to Winter Park CO for some skiing? Then a la Scott says for great music, beer, food and an all around good time, head to the Crooked Creek Saloon. Just outside of Winter Park, in Fraser, it offers a good feel that a small ski town saloon should, along with a family friendly restaurant that offers great comfort food. The rack of ribs is always a hit. The steaks like the strip are also basically a no miss. There's always a full and ready salad bar with a nice variety of greens. Add a beer from some good varieties either with or after dinner. Oh and if the kids are not in tow on Friday or Saturday night, stick around for some awesome live bands. Dance if you want. The locals do! A la Scott has been here on a few visits now and it never disappoints. It's small town with a huge heart and that earns it 4 stars.

We happened upon this place by chance. The night we wet in was prime rib special night. The food was excellent, the service was great and we ended up back there the next morning for their first Sunday of the month Sunday brunch. Yet again the food was amazing and the service great. The manager if the place is the resident desert maker and if you happen to be in on a night when she has made her Black Forest cake - you are in for a very tasty treat. The owner spoke with us on both visits and was wonderful to get to know. We have decided to come back up here fro Denver again for their Sunday brunch!

I'd almost give it 2 stars because the bar is fun, but I can't bring myself to do it. The food, well, is just bad. My sister and I ordered rib eyes, and didn't finish them because they were just thin and tasteless. One friend ordered a vegetarian sandwich and said it was disgusting. And to top it off, this was the most expensive meal for 4 people I've had since I moved to colorado.

I went to Crooked Creek with a group of 16 after a day of snow tubing. I thought I walked into the wrong place as well, since I was the last to arrive, and everyone else was in the back dining room, which I didn't see at first. The dining room is quite lovely, and I have to say that the server handled our group and separate checks flawlessly! Everything I had was delicious - homemade corn chowder, lemonade, and a shared buffalo burger with sweet potato fries. A perfect ending to a very fun mountain adventure! I can't speak for the rest of the group, but they all seemed to enjoy their beers and food as well. It might seem a little pricey for a beer + burger kind of place, but you can easily split any of the sandwiches or entrees and still leave satisfied! I would try the homemade soups, sweet potato fries and a nice Colorado brew. Expect to wait a little bit, this is a mountain town after all, not NYC. Come here expecting to find an unassuming (even divey) saloon with live music at night and a surprisingly pleasant menu. Sit in back if you want a nicer feeling environment. The restroom at the back of the dining area is quite a bit nicer than the one in the saloon. The dining addition feels quite new and clean. Thumbs up for Crooked Creek Saloon!

There is always something fun to do at the Crooked Creek and it really is managed quite well... it's more than just a bar. I love Monday nights, there is a Texas Hold'em tournament that takes place at 8:30 every week and points are accrued, every 10 weeks the top 40 players play to win a trip for 2 to Las Vegas... I'm determined to win it eventually. Tuesday nights are equally as awesome, every week at 7:30 the Hulkstar's Trivia game takes place and it's quite fun, a nice mix of players. I'm on a team called the Wiseguys and we're a force to be reckoned with so bring your A-game.

We've eaten here twice now and both times the food, service, and atmosphere have been wonderful. Both times we went for breakfast and it is hands down the best breakfast in the Winter Park Fraser area. I would highly recommend this place to others!

Hard to figure this place out. Some days good, some bad. The food is always above average, but service is sometimes terrible. This place has the best buffalo wings in the Fraser Valley, and decent pasta meals. Service at night has not been a problem, but breakfast and lunch service is horrible.

Upon entering this place, I was thrown off a bit. I walked expecting a restaurant and a shabby bar was the first thing I saw. Apparently, the dining room was toward the back. I almost turned around and walked back out. The place wasn't very busy, seemed to be a few locals hanging around for a drink. The dining room was in the midst of rennovation, they had just installed a wall of flat panel tvs in it. I think the tables and chairs are last on their list of things to replace. The menu was average size, there was decent variety and my party took full advantage of it. Average price, okay food. Service was good.

We had a party of 6 and called ahead to make sure they could accommodate our party, they had a table ready for us when we got there. The food was good, the soup and salad bar was good BUT the desserts were great! We had the cheesecake and lemon bars, so good we took 2 to go. The beer was reasonably priced. The service was prompt and friendly. I'd go back, maybe for the Sunday brunch, it sounded good.

I just returned from there, and I will never return. I absolutely cannot recommend this place. I went there based on other reviews on Yelp. There were 5 of us, exhausted after a full day of skiing. The waitress who took our order was unfamiliar with the menu - she'd been working there all of 2 days. We all got entrees that came with the salad bar, that required the waitress to give us plates. It took her 10 minutes to deliver them. The wait was probably not worth it - the salad bar was meager with only iceberg lettuce and about 6 other standard toppings. The mushrooms looked like they needed to be tossed. Our meal took another 15 minutes to arrive. By then, we were ready to head out the door. Sadly, we stayed around for mediocre food. The chicken fried steak was tough, and the mashed potato was cold. The gravy on top was congealed. The baby back ribs were overly spicy, which was totally unexpected by two in our group that ordered it. Our bill came to over $100. Totally not worth the wait or the expense. Oh, the best part of the meal was the bread.
