We actually went inside for a meal just after lunch so we got dinner prices which seem pretty steep for the standard Americanized Chinese food. They should really let you order half. I had the Rice Noodle Soup which was loaded with snow peas, huge slices of carrots, mushrooms, chicken, beef and shrimp. The noodles were cooked nicely but the broth had no flavor at all. My wife had the Cashew Chicken which was pretty good and loaded with cashews which was a nice surprise. They also had pretty good jasmine tea. This place loses a star because a small child, probably 7 or 8, was putting out the napkins, forks and spoons which seems like a bad idea to me!

China Cottage is the best Chinese food restaurant in the Fountain area. I'm a big fan of their combo fried rice but our son really likes the chicken lo mien. Their prices are good and the portions are large.

Actually can taste the freshness of the vegetables in an entree. Great portions, even on take out.

If you like super sweet Chinese food then you will like this place. I found it tasteless and lukewarm. Prices are good but since I could not finish the food it did not make a difference

Ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken on the Lunch Special. The Sweet and Sour Sauce came on the side which was very nice. It comes with rice( I ordered fried, but it came with steam instead), egg roll, one crab ragoon, choice of soup (I had Egg Drop), and a fortune cookie. Overall, It was great. 6.35 including tax for everything. I will definitely be going back.

In general, best pricing for Chinese and delivery in the area. Nice staff including their delivery people. Popped in for pick up a few times and always greeted with a smile and it's very clean. I recommend the crab meat wontons!

This place used to be decent, not sure if they got new owners or cooks, but, the food is terrible now. The LoMein was clumped together and very soggy ( not at all how real LoMein should be ) the meat was sour and they are SLOW on delivery. Never ever ordering from there again.

I have never in my life had such disgusting so called Chinese food! I ordered general tso's chicken and shrimp fried rice. When my food arrived to my house not only was it freezing cold as if it was sitting in the refrigerator, my chicken was very hard and unpleasant. I definitely will never eat there again!!

This food was awesome! Some of the better chinese I've had since we moved here, it was all piping hot even after I got it home and it sat for a bit. The hot and sour soup stayed so hot that even an hour later it was like you had just gotten it. And the size! I ordered a large soup expecting the larges I got back home, this was double the size! They were friendly both when I ordered and when I picked it up, just a little place next to a dairy queen but such a nice difference to home. Recommend the general tsao chicken and the combo fried rice as well, all well seasoned and the rice was full of meat :) can't wait for Chinese night

The food here is good. Definitely the best in the Fountain area. The service is friendly and quick, plus they deliver. We've been a few times and have never been disappointed with anything we've ordered. I especially enjoy the mu shu.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
