For ambiance, this is a 5-star diner! It is a classic 1950s diner car that has all the expected ephemera art-wise. The food we had was great - breakfast burritos, smothered with green chile made with GROUND pork - not a usual find for me, but they did this version very well; VERY tasty green chile! The coffee was great, the service was morose, and the opening time: 8am?!?! I thought diners opened earlier than this. We had to wait for it to open, and were the only ones there - I would think truckers on I-70 would make this a religious stop - being out there on the fringes of the plains, middle of nowhere. Great stop, definitely try it - hopefully your waitress will be happy you did!

We stop here every time we go by on the way to or from Denver. Great place, try the specials!

Although you'll pay city-ish prices at this middle-of-nowhere diner, the food's pretty good and the selection is bigger than what you'd find at similar establishments elsewhere. You can tell that the proprietors take pride in the upkeep of the place. Breakfast is served all day. Their free WiFi is nothing to sneeze at in a town where there's absolutely nothing else to do.

We were driving through ...man...we really wanted this place to be good....but it was just alright. My man ordered a steak omelette....it came out as a roast beef omelette...why call it a steak omelette ...just call it what it is, so we don't have to send it back. The green chili was alright...and the servers were nice. This is the only decent place to eat in a 30 mile radius...so know going in...that there isn't much else. Good luck.

The service was slow. They gave me the wrong order. The chili burger was ehh. The fries were ok. Doubt I will ever stop in again.

My Wife and I absolutly love this place. We make a point of going here when we travel east from denver to see her familiy in texas or my friend mike in virgina. We've been a half a dozen times and my favorite is the Chorizo chilli. I'll get the Huevos rancheros smothered in Chorizo chilli. So Good! My wife loves the French toast sandwich. The people are friendly, the atmospher is cool, and even the cook (who I'm thinking is the owner) came out to make sure I enjoyed everything. Maybe my fault because I told the waitress that I'd love to thank the cook. I cant believe the people who rated this place less than four stars. I have no idea what their complaining about this place is really good and my wife and I will always make it apart of our trips on I-70.

Nothing special. Not many choices in Flagler so it is ok for diner food. If you are in a hurry though, just go to the Loaf 'N Jug across the street and get something off the grill.

Great place to stop if you have a little extra time on your hands. We stopped here on a Sunday at lunch time and unfortunately it took over an hour to get our food; however, I will say that the food was delicious! Typical diner food, but all four of us (kids included) devoured what we ordered with happy bellies when we left. It's a fun diner experience, it just took a little more of our time than we were hoping for on a long day of driving.

We stumbled across this place while driving to Denver. There really isn't much in the town other than a couple of gas stations and this diner. The food was good, the service was fantastic, and the diner itself is a great throwback to the 1950's. I would definitely recommend stopping here.

Very very good food! Green chili is a must! Loved the beef and cheddar. Milk shakes were ok. Great place for families to stretch their legs!

This is a little gem in the middle of what seems like no where. Breakfast all day, burgers and milk shakes. Perfect dinner on the way thru. Very reasonable prices.

Best mushroom Swiss burger I ever had anywhere. Bread was warm, with small seeds, meet was cooked perfectly and a great quality beef. Had the green chili soup. And it had a great flavor but jalapeño hot. They also have custom milk shakes -- peanut butter and butter scotch!

My mistake about the opening of this place. We were there an hour early and our clocks hadn't updated

The 2 dishes we ordered were the Ruben and taco salad. Both were very good just needed to have some taco seasoning in the salad, other then that the service was excellent. Will try to stop next time through.

We stopped in on a recent road trip. I wasn't even hungry but I heard the music from across the street while refueling. The place felt busy with 5 or 6 booths seated and only one person waiting tables and working the cash register. The food was average. They have a lot of untapped potential here.

If you're in a hurry, then this place is definitely not for you. While the food was good, the service was incredibly slow and seemed quite scattered and disorganized.

What a gem in the middle of nowhere. Great cheeseburger, fries OK. Daily special of chicken tacos very good. Don't overlook homemade pie. Apple was great. Strawberry rhubarb was better!

Stopped for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a good ol diner. Great burgers, soda and fries. The service was speedy and pleasant. Way better food here than the multitudes of fast food on the highway.

What a great little find. This is a true diner where they pay attention to the food. The fried chicken is very good. Even the kids Mac 'n cheese is special. This has been our go to place in this part of Colorado.

We were starving in the middle of nowhere driving to Kansas, and we stumbled upon this diner. The staff is absolutely amazing and the food was fantastic! We ordered fried chicken, Mac and cheese and a club sandwich. It was all fresh, tasted homemade and delicious! I highly recommend stopping in this diner if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed!!

What a cute little diner.... There aren't a ton if choices that aren't fast good in this part if Colorado so this place is a bit like an oasis. We had breakfast ... The service was great, my coffee cup was never empty and our server was very friendly. The food was average diner fare but filling. If you are driving 70 check it out

Surprised at some of the more negative reviews. Found the diner to be clean and very authentic. (I did like the fact that they didn't play 50"s rock and roll. Too over done... We're playing 70"s album rock while we were there.) As to the food: I ordered the "Huge Chicken Fried Steak Dinner". It was the best CFS if had in years. My wife wife had the "Monte Cristo". She thought it was marvelous. Home made mashed potatoes from scratch. Sad thing is I was too full to get a shake... With a couple of Cherry Pepsi's the Bill came to about $21. Not bad for a decent dinner. Quick service and clean restrooms. Good choice while traveling I-70. I'll be back.

Nice little diner tucked away off I-70 about 2 hours from Denver. Nice and clean. Wasn't busy, so service was quick.

Eastern Colorado is a somber wasteland of lost population, abandoned towns and failing businesses of all sort. So the fact that recently built shiny diner arrive a few years no doubt gave pride to his bleak stretch of I-70. Little cards on each table please the customers to contact Guy Fieri to come and visit with his sow "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". THE problem is, other than being bright stainless steel classic looking diner, it has no calling card. No giant burgers, no killer cinnamon rolls, no green chili with an interesting twist. Like a pop song with no hook, this diner just languishes. The menu is boring, the French Dip I had tasted -processed. The fountain Pepsi tasted flat and metallically, the waitress? "Oh yeah, that happens a lot" An d had to remind her to take it off the tab. The windows are filthy, the TV above the counter are 9" portables. Odd for a newly installed diner (2009). Praise to the small town hot shot who decided to make this place go. But it lacks identity and quality which is a perilous mix. In an area rife with failed businesses, I fear for the I-70 diner.

I'd really like to see this place get some business! It was really charming. We usually just eat our own food on the road when we got from KC to Denver, but we randomly stopped for gas or something and decided to eat here for dinner. The food was delicious and my husband had some strawberry rhubarb pie. All in all, a good find.

Quick, fast, good food. Friendly service, good tunes, overall great place to stop for a quick bite to eat on your way through Colorado.

Driving through Kansas we are always looking for a little gem. We did NOT find it in Flagler. This diner is not likely to make its way to food networks' diners, drive-ins and dives, but certainly could stand a visit from food network's health inspectors. This place looks like it was most recently cleaned sometime back in the '50s. The food was inedible. That right, not incredible, inedible. Sorry the I-70 corridor through KS is food challenged. This diner adds to the challenge. I don't go for fast food, but at least I could have eaten a food chain hamburger.

The review left by Tres B. is spot on. The only thing going for this place is that it is one of remarkably few non-fast-food-chain joints in the Eastern Colorado I-70 corridor. Beyond that, it was a complete waste of time and money. When we saw the cards on the table asking us to help them get on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives", we were not sure what to think. Maybe this would be great food. In retrospect, I think this joint would more appropriately be featured on Food Network's "Health Inspectors". Despite being a pleasant 63F degrees outside on an Autumn day, it remained a sweltering 83-84 degrees inside during our entire visit, as evidenced by the thermostat directly above our booth. (The A/C/heat system was turned off completely). This was not only uncomfortable, it added to our concerns for the food safety back in the kitchen. We came in at the latter end of the lunch rush, around 2:30 pm, when it was about half full and dwindling. Nevertheless, we waited over 10 minutes for a server and another 10-15 minutes for a simple burger and fries. They forgot to ask and forgot to bring any toppings for the burgers (tomatoes, lettuce, etc). We had to ask for those separately. As for the food, we could have done almost as good at any fast food chain, in a fraction of the time. The waitstaff was disinterested, my side salad came with the wrong dressing, the seats and tables were all greasy, and the restroom did not seem to have been cleaned since the 50's, when this diner likely saw its better days. (The diner structure was recently purchased from up north and re-located to this location). When we paid, I glanced back into the kitchen to see filth all over the floor.

This place was like an oasis. We were driving back from Utah on the way to Indianapolis after getting married. We had been on the road for the last 4-5 days and had passed the novelty of fast food that we never eat at home. Everyone who helped us was super friendly, we received samples of chili and hot sauces. Anyways, the food was delicious and hit the spot...and it was right off of the the highway. Go here.

For a diner this place was great! Food was great and abundant and the price was right. The cook Richard came out and brought a sample of his green, red, and chorizo chile. This was by far, the best chile I have ever tasted...it was that good. The green chile was the best of the 3, but all were flavorful with their own unique textures. I will drive out there just for the chili. Very friendly staff, great food, and at a good price. This was a good find!

Ambiance gets a 5 for an authentic diner look. Food and service both get a 2 as they are terribly inconsistent and can be hit or miss. The breakfast items are fairly consistent, burgers are decent, and the green chile, though different, is tasty. Salads are typically iceberg- which is sometimes rusted, and may or may not contain anything but drab iceberg and bottled dressing. In the town of Flagler itself, at this point in time, there are no other options. It's certainly not up to the par where I would consider it a "destination" restaurant.

The food was fantastic! I had the interstate sampler and stuffed myself until my plates were clean. Everything is made from scratch and you can taste the difference. They seemed a little short staffed on a Sunday afternoon so the food took awhile, but it was worth the wait. Great music playing too!

I give this a five star for many reasons! The food was great!! Try the fried chicken, Cole slaw, and sweet potato fries! Great food! Great service!! The Cole slaw is so amazingly good! The cook came out and sat with us and talks and our waitress April was nice!

What a great place to stop. Traditional diner, great fried chicken and green chili. Save room for the pie. We shared the strawberry rhubarb and it was excellent.

I am very disappointed in this place for breakfast. Upon walking in the waiter was sitting with a customer so we sat ourselves. He brought us menus and took our drink order that took 10mins for him to bring back and it was two coffees, a soda and water, really?? Our food took forever to come and when we finally got it, wow what a disappointment!! My eggs were not cooked how I asked, they forgot my sons eggs for his meal and my husbands omelette was still raw in the middle, GROSS and his sourdough toast wasn't even toasted!! Last time we will ever stop here. Get it together and get better help!!

Ok I admit to being a skeptic about roadside diners, despite the good reviews on Yelp, but in this case, they were absolutely right about this diner! Everything about the experience was great, from the decor, both inside & out, to the wonderful food, great service & CHEAP! Hubby ordered breakfast (yummy chicken fried steak) & I ordered the 2 piece fried chicken lunch. You can pick breasts or thighs or legs & it comes with corn & a side dish. I picked the roasted potatoes, which were great! So was the chicken & the corn! I will have the leftovers tomorrow! The whole bill was $16! I had their pink lemonade which I usually don't order because it's too sweet, but here it was perfect! The whole meal was very well worth the stop!

Great little place.. Just off the I-70. Amazing service.. The service staff is very friendly. I ordered a burrito and it turned out to be great.. Try and get the pie as well..

Friendly, respectful staff with great homemade diner food! Ordered the chicken strips and fries. It was great! The strips had great flavor and weren't too dry or greasy. Seemed just right. The food took a little bit to get but everything is homemade so that's expected.
