This restaurant is a perfect example of one where the service makes all the difference. Unfortunately in this case, it's a negative effect. The service is terrible and my Jewish mother makes better Italian.

We had been to Pinocchio's once before and it was mediocre, but decided to give it another chance based on the reviews. We had high hopes, but unfortunately, other than the service (which was great) it was not a good experience. Much worse than the first time. The lasagna my husband ordered tasted like it came out of a can and I took two bites of the Pinocchio's linguini and stopped eating. It was that bad - and I'm really not a picky eater. The food was just awful. We will not be back.

I came in here for dinner, and found that it is a nice little restaurant with decent prices. I had the lasagna, which is pretty much the standard food that I try at Italian restaurants. I was pleased with the taste and the quality. The only deduction came when I was handed the bill. I got someone else's, which was about three times the total that I was expecting! Other than that, this is a wonderful restaurant. For dessert, I had the lemon cake, which came free as the Yelp check in offer.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! I've been to the Pinocchio's in Brighton, Co., and was a regular at the one in Greeley, Co., until it was closed. I've always really liked their Italian Spaghetti with spicy sausage, and I've found the sauce and sausage to be very good and very consistent between the three restaurant locations. I really like Pinocchio's and I wish they'd get a good lease at a good location and reopen in Greeley. The Firestone location is easy to find and access, restaurant atmosphere is pleasant, if a tad small, and the prices are reasonable. Their menu across the board has exciting choices - and everything I've ever tried at any location has always been quite good.

Not sure about the food but the service was awful. We were seated right away and not one employee approached us for over 10. minutes. The server went to each table surrounding us 3 times asking and bringing desert, bringing boxes and refilling drinks. The hostess walked around us three or four times and never said anything to us as well. We walked out after trying to get the servers attention and being ignored. Do yourself a favor and stay away unless you want your evening ruined because the horrible service will ruin your evening

Living in a small town like Firestone has its ups and downs. I would say that it clearly NOT booming with tons of options for great eateries but I will say that Pinnochio's is becoming a fast favorite. It's convenient, rarely busy (but it really should be!) and always good. My lovely boyfriend chose Pinnochio's for our Saturday night date night. We were sat at what would have been an awkward table for 4 people, but it was nice just for the two of us...and no complaining because we didn't have to wait! The only bummer was that it was the table nearest the door so we were occasionally blasted with a cold breeze. *brr* We started with the caprese appetizer. We have this often (at many different restaurants) so I am familiar with the good vs. the bad and Pinnochio's was very good. GREAT mozzarella, perfectly ripe tomatoes and fresh basil. It was great! Entrees: he got the Pinnochio's Linguine which he seemed to really like. The only complaint is that there didn't really seem to be a "fair" amount of shrimp on the dish for what they charge. It was delicious, but a bit skimpy on the shrimpy (sorry about that one). I got the Gnocchi with creamy pesto and chicken and it was DIVINE! The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and the sauce was SO GOOD. There seemed to be plenty of chicken on my dish. I loved every bite and the great thing about it is that Pinnochios was very generous with their portions (and gnocchi is very filling) so I have dinner for tomorrow night too! Most excellent. Since we checked in on Yelp last time we came, I had saved the deal to be used last night so we got to enjoy a FREE slice of lemon cake. You guys. This stuff is heaven. I don't even care if it's store-bought or homemade...they warmed it up just slightly and it is moist and amazing. I'm dreaming about that cake. If you're asking yourself where to go out to dinner tonight...the answer is Pinnochio's.

Good food, good service, small building. We have been here several times and always leave happy and full.

You will rarely find me craving Italian. Not sure why but it just isn't my thing. This place changes all of that though. The decor is so cozy and the service is amazing. The whole menu sounds good so I don't think you could go wrong but we highly recommend the artichoke dip, the signature pinochio linguini and chicken Parmesan. Make sure you take advantage of the Yelp check in offer, that lemon cake is perfect. As an added bonus, all of their desserts are made in house! Seriously, go here.

The mirror behind the bar was dusty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The food was gross and not really sure if you can call Italian. Many of the people in our party didn't feel well the next day.

If you're looking for a place to eat in Firestone, this is a great choice. Super friendly people and the food is always great! The carmelized onion and asiago ravioli is amazing! The bf always gets a calzone and is never disappointed. Breakfast on the weekends is definitely worth hitting up over Red Rooster. Try the breakfast burrito or the shrimp Benedict - yum! Only downside is the service can be a bit spotty on those weekend breakfasts.

I cannot eat dairy. I told the server. We had a conversation about the menu. When she brings my food. It has cheese on top. I'm pretty sure she took it in the back and just had them remove the cheese. They should take this more seriously! They have no idea how much suffering it causes ppl who can't eat it! They should have made me a fresh plate. I've been here twice now and have been underwhelmed by the quality and taste of the food. Everything screams premade and microwaved. Lol, I was waiting for Gordon Ramsay to pop out. Ppl want fresh food! The only reason we came was bc a local business gave us a gift certificate. We won't be back.

After reading the reviews, I thought we'd have a great time...was I wrong! Made reservations for a party of 7 at 6:30 on a Sat. We arrived to see another group seated at our table and had to wait while they scrambled to set up. Service was terrible..messed up orders (that they reserved 3 times?), no beverage refills, and a bad attitude. Maybe they thought they didn't have to work because of the automatic service charge. I was embarrassed in front of our out of town guests who insisted on paying. Never again!

We love the small town atmosphere of this restaurant. It's never overcrowded and we always get seated right away. It's where we go when we need a quiet and inviting place to be together after a long busy week. The food is amazing, and while my hubby and I tend to get stuck in a rut and order the exact same thing depending on where we're eating, at Pinocchio's we have tried something new every time that we've eaten here and it all has tasted amazing. One of the only places we can't decide what to order the next time we stop in. The wait staff is always great, very friendly and attentive but not hovering. This is definitely a place that we will frequent regularly.

Absolutely the best dining in Tri-Towns! Food is quality! Service is terrific and prices are very good. The tortellini Alfredo was terrific. I can't say enough how good it was.

It's fantastic to have a "real" restaurant in the Carbon Valley. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. The call-ahead/carry out option is great, since you can use the drive-thru to pick up at the adjacent restaurant Sloppy Dog (this makes it an excellent option with small kids!) My only dig would be the service can be a bit spotty. For example, the last time we were there, we ordered a bottle of wine. The server, after really struggling to use the corkscrew, placed the bottle on the table and told us "I'll let you pour your wine, since I don't know how much you want..." I understand not everyone is a sommelier, but some basic training in wine service might be nice.

Not a bad deal! I like this place because they offer take out. Good value for sure! I get the lasagna with salad. The salad is always fresh with crisp greens. The lasagna is usually pretty good, however it is a reheated item i think, which I feel should be served hotter. It seems the closer to the middle you get it gets a little cooler in temp. Overall a good spot for the area. I still think its the best Firestone has to offer. Don't forget to mention your free lemon cake with a yelp review.

Great food, had a lunch special ($8.95) got a very good garden salad ( very fresh) and a 3 topping pizza. Great crust and fresh ingredients. Will be back!

It is good for the area. Better than Olive Garden, but not any restaurant in Italy. Pizza is more on the American Italian side than true pizza from Napoli, Italy. Still, the pizza is better than any in the area. I prefer light on any type of sauce and Pinocchios likes to be on the heavy side. Breakfast is delicious. Overall good food. Great service. View of the mountains. Good for kids too.

My husband and I just moved to Frederick and we've been trying all the local restaurants. We really enjoyed Pinocchios! It's a small place to eat, but the staff was so friendly! I am from St. Louis, so I know toasted ravioli and I have to admit Pinocchios has some of the best toasted ravioli I've ever had! The wine was good, the food was very good, the service was great, and the price was right. We will definitely be back!

So there is a Italian place to eat in Firestone..I admit I was a little surprised to find such a good place to eat in this little town. We have friends who live up there and they had ordered pizza from there a few times and it was super good BUT we went there to eat. IT was actually really really good. The free breadsticks they give you make Olive Gardens look like crap. We look forward to going back!

Excellent food! We had the spinach salad, the manicotti, and the fettuccine Alfredo, we were all very pleased. The atmosphere is cozy, very creative with unique salt and pepper at each table and all the different serve ware.

We chose Pinocchio's for Sunday lunch--they were able to seat our party of 12 immediately. The service was prompt, attentive, and professional. We were able to order off either the breakfast or lunch menu. The Pinocchio's pizza salad was wonderful! Noise level was minimal, and parking was ample. This little gem of a restaurant is off the beaten path in Firestne Colorado, but we will be back!

Baked ravioli appetizer is crazy good! I've only had a few of the other dishes, and they were good as well, but the ravioli is amazing! Been there a few times, and the waitstaff seem to rotate in and out a lot. Last meal took a really long time just because it seemed like they were training new employees.

Solid neighborhood Italian restaurant. Wednesday night around 6:pm and it was half full. Plenty of help and all were friendly- timely service. Food was good and portions were reasonable. If you are looking for a "don't cook tonight" simple night out, give them a try.

This place is disgusting. The pasta had watery sauce. The chicken tasted like it was frozen and days old. The shrimp was overcooked. The dishes had no flavor, just pasta in flavored water. Never eat here. I know I will never come back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
