Undici Ristorante Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I went here for the first time recently with a group of coworkers for lunch. They raved about the food so I expected it to be great. It really wasn't. I ordered the chicken and mushroom penne and it was incredibly bland and greasy. There wasn't really any mushroom flavor either. Add in the high price and that my drink didn't get refilled until the end of the meal, and Undici didn't impress.

I ate here about a year ago and forgot to write a review, driving by sparked my memory. Food was ok but the service was terrible. The server kept complaining about how bad his tip was going to be... It was weird, who does that? We had no idea why he was complaining about his tip mid-way through the meal. So we didn't want him to complain for nothing. He didn't get a tip and I probably won't be back.

What a great place for Italian food and great service. The food is great. We had the spicy spaghetti and seafood. It was excellent. The bread was fantastic--not like what they serve at most Italian restaurants. I like the fact that the server was attentive but not hovering too much. Also the gluten free choices were excellent--a lot better than many Italian restaurants. Don't forget to try the gelato. It is lite and to die for. They have an excellent happy hour from 3:00 to 6:00 that is a good find.

Great place! Great price for the delicious meal. Came in for lunch and had the best food I've eaten in a while. I think this place has fave potential.

This was a hidden gem that I stumbled across through a friend of mine. We have since been back several times. The food is fantastic and we love the decore (very modern and classy). The service is good, but on occasion could use a little extra effort.

Nice wine list, accommodated us with grace on New Years eve. My date and I stumbled into Undici without a reservation for early dinner on New Years eve. We had the option to dine in the lounge. Considering the single digit temps outside, we decided to stay. The restaurant had a special NYE menu. I had the fettuccine with beef fillet in a Marsala sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly, with the Marsala adding just the right woodsy mushroom flavor. My partner had the Halibut which was cooked perfectly. Our waitress helped us with the wine choices: I had a Chianti, while she sampled a Pinot Noir. Overall, a nice, but unspectacular experience. Perhaps a repeat visit will improve my rating.

Excellent olive oil and bread. Beef carpacio was fresh and tasty. Butternut squash ravioli was delicious. Decent portions and average service. I'd definitely go back.

We went to Undici for restaurant week. Have never been there before but have eaten at their other place, 10 in Englewood. My wife had one of the worst meals of her life. A bunch of her clams were not open which is a big NO NO for shellfish. And some of the ones that were open had the shells cracked. The hostess tried to alibi for the chef, but this was terrible. The shrimp in the dish was cold. It was like someone had just thrown this together and had no sense of how to cook. My dish was OK but not great. I had high hopes for this place but will never be back.

I get having a bottom line, but there's no need to double-underline... know what I mean? We didn't want decorations, we didn't want special treatment... we simply wanted a place with nice food we knew our people liked where we could enjoy each other's company and potentially buy lots of apps, entrees and libation. You'd think I had requested them to shut down the restaurant for us. I experienced flack from the ownership, indicating they needed a hard budget number from us before "closing off one of their dining rooms." I was assured they weren't worried about making money, yet when I could only guarantee them 20 people who would all order apps, entrees and alcohol, they asked me to call them back when I had a hard budget in mind. I finally decided to just call back after the weekend (during which I received no callbacks after leaving a message with the owner) and make a reservation for 20 people. The other owner then informed me I had to pare their menu down to six entree options so we wouldn't overwhelm their 8 stoves and put the whole restaurant behind schedule. Fine. FF to the day of our lunch. Our party of 16 equalled the total # of other dining customers in the restaurant... and that didn't change for 2.5 hours. We had ONE waiter serving our large party (he put the best face of this place forward), and after a while he was the ONLY waiter serving the entire establishment, so our check took about 20 minutes to process. While the food was very good, we were all pretty underwhelmed by everything else. What had me shaking my head as I walked out was that I very well COULD have had them close off a dining room for us, and they could have made far more money by having our people float in and out. Definitely not going back here for a party larger than four.

Underwhelmed by food and service for the price. Noisy atmosphere that was a mix of cheesy piano player, loud/drunk patrons, but nice decor.

I have dined here several times, been in for happy hour, and also just enjoyed cocktails at the bar. They have one of the best happy hours in Denver, featuring great appetizer and drink specials (even $4 martinis)! Amy (the bartender) seems to know everybody at the bar and strikes up conversations with everyone while making drinks for the entire place. They have an intimate lounge area perfect for after-work drinks and I've seen them host parties there frequently. Regarding dinner, their menu is top-notch. Having eaten at several Italian restaurants around town (ranging from Olive Garden to Barolo Grill and numerous others), their prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. I've had their Salmone alla Senape multiple times as well as several of their pasta dishes... all very flavorful. The servers always recommends wines that seem to match what I'm eating perfectly. I've also compared their wine list prices to other restaurants and I have to say - WOW. I can tell Undici doesn't mark up their wines like some other restaurants do... I've seen the same bottles offered elsewhere at substantially higher prices. The owners (Alex & Dina) are very personable and greet & thank practically every guest at their restaurant... something you don't see very often any more. All in all, I highly recommend Undici and will be back real soon.

Lovely place for a nice dinner. We went there last night and had yummy food and great service. I love when the servers are available but aren't always at your table. I had the butternut squash ravioli. Wow- the filling was so smooth. It just slid down into my belly! My husband had a chicken dish (chicken monte cristo- something like that). He really enjoyed it. We didn't have wine, but it looks like they have a nice selection of wines. We did order tiramisu for dessert. It was delicious. The only reason I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5 is the volume of the place is intensified by the vaulted ceilings. Everything just echos. We were sitting by a party of 8 (no problem with them laughing and having a good time!) but we were barely able to hear each other. I think it's just the acoustics in there. We'll be back!

Undici is Fratelli's times 2. Same with the price- It doubled but.. The place looks amazing! The staff are Classy, professional, Speak Italian? We got drunk, we ate everything they had, then topped it off with Desert and coffee... OH MY GOD I was full. This must have been amazing. GO here when someone else is buying. Go here when you want to go all out! Dress up and take the lady out to a late 8:15-9:15 classy dinner. Reserve a booth in the bar in the back. Get trashed on there house red(very tasty). This place is Beautiful, and they make you feel like a million bucks, probably because your going to spend it to have a great meal. What to get? everything.... A must try.

Nice fancy Italian. A little too pricey. Buca De Beppo and Chantis are better.

We went here for our Xmas party. The Italian in Denver is not the best. I had the vegetarian manicotti, and I really liked it. Other people seemed to like their food. I never rate on service or atmosphere, so I don't know...

The best Italian I have had in Colorado. Warm and very friendly staff. Great bar to sit and talk with a glass of wine and marvelous appetizers. Service felt very attentive without hovering, not an easy thing to do. Way to far away for a casual drop in for me but I will find a reason to be in the area again soon.

My husband and I love Undici. The staff and owners are great, and they always want the customers to be happy. We actually eat here several times a month, sometimes more. The potatoe and sausage soup is out of this world! The fettucine alfredo is some of the best i've ever had. We also love the rigatoni Undici and the shrimp fra diavlo. They have a nice happy hour menu and can accomodate big groups.

Underwhelming. As others have said, and the reason we wanted to check it out, the decor is great. We were excited upon entering as the atmosphere was upscale, yet inviting. The only downside to this is that the noise level was rather high. There are noise control solutions for restaurants that they might want to look into. The food was a disappointment though, with the exception of the caprese eggplant app and the dipping sauce for the bread. I ordered fish and my husband ordered gnocchi. They both had the same flavorless red sauce. Very disappointing as we were excited at the prospect of finding a new regular place without a trip downtown. The service was good. The hostess came and asked if everything was good. We lied and said "yes." I think if restaurants want honest feedback that doesn't appear on the internet, they may want to consider some sort of comment card box. We can't be the only ones who don't feel comfortable with providing less than stellar feedback face-to face. We also don't want them to think we are fishing for a comp. We may give it another try. The lounge area looked very inviting with lovely sofas and lighting.

Cute place - could improve a little with decor and lack of view. Bathrooms need more light too. Touching up my make-up was a complete guess. Excellent service. Delicious noodles and dessert- we both ordered dishes that had noodles made from scratch that day. I wasn't impressed with the salad. Alcoholic beverages were fine. Private lot is across street next to carwash - would help to have a light on the sign there.

I have been to Undici's in the past. I am a member of a physician group -- as it is located near Swedish Medical Center we have used this location in the past for dinner meetings and to take prospective employee physicians. However, today we tried to have a dinner meeting there and Undici's refused to seat us. They stated that we did not spend enough money the last time we ate there. I would avoid this establishment.

This has become a favorite for me and my boyfriend. It's not cheap, but it's not super expensive either. If you're going to have a starter, a salad/soup, entree, dessert, and both drink, you're going to spend a lot of money. However, if you're just having a nice dinner (no drinks), you can make out for like $30. And it's soooo worth it. I didn't catch his name, but our first waiter was Italian and super friendly. A handsome older gentleman, he made suggestions but went with what we decided. He helped me decide on the special that night (linguine with tomatoes and spinach), and it was divine. At the end of the meal, the waiter treated us to a shot of Limoncello each. The second time wasn't as magical, regarding service. We were attended to by friendly younger women, but we couldn't keep track of which was the actual server since they were each stop by. There were three of us, and we had to request more bread when we got hungry waiting for our entrees. They weren't slow, since the place was packed due to the holidays. We were just very hungry. When it came time to pay the check, we wanted to pay on the card and then get a change for $20. Like a ninja, the waitress took the bill and applied the twenty to the total, charging the rest to the card. Without confirming with us. That was annoying because one of us wanted to get the tip while the other paid the bill. She apologized when we pointed out that she assumed, and offered to re-do it all...but we didn't feel like going through the hassle. So, just remember to keep an eye out if you're looking to split the check. PS - Why is it so hard to split the check in Denver? I'm from the midwest where it happens all the time. Overall, this place is lovely. The food is homemade and tasty. The specials are, indeed, special. The staff is nice. The decor is inviting, too. I see they have outdoor seating, which I look forward to enjoying this spring/summer.

I really wanted to love Undici. It's close to home, after all, and my wofe and I have a special weakness for romantic Italian dinners. We finally made reservations after three years living in the neighborhood and we had high expectations. Our first disappointment came when they failed to honor our reservation. "We have had a lot of walk ins", we were told, as we sat at the bar waiting for our 8pm reservation until almost 8:30. Walk-ins? What was our reservation made for? I was reminded of the famous Seinfeld rental car scene. Next we were seated and received extremely slow table service. Yes, they were busy - ans we realized that - but we were hungry. We were served bread a full one hour after our reserved time. My wife's cloth napkin had blood on it. I'm not kidding. It had been laundered, but it was obvious that someone had bled into it profusely. That was disturbing. What was worse was the server's reaction when we asked to have the napkin replaced. We expected incredulous apologizing. Instead, he half-heartedly carted the bloody napkin away without any hint of contrition. Weird. The food was good. Awesome, actually. I had pasta with prosciutto and it was unreal. I actually closed my eyes between bites. My wife ordered Eggplant Parm and she thought it was aces. It's really too bad that the trip to Undici was a drag. I'm not real sure when we will try again. Maybe in a year or two,

Undici, or as I call it: The Old Fratelli's, is a shining beacon in an otherwise scummy part of town. Trust me, I used to live across the street from Undici. It's simple elegance is only rivaled by it's fantastic food. You will have to pay for the upgrade over an Olive Garden or Maggiano's but the quality of how the food is prepared is second to none. The Chicken Monte-Cristo is to rave about. True upscale Italian food and fairly reasonably priced. I wouldn't suggest this for a first date, not because it isn't worthy, but rather because all of your dates will go downhill from here. The waitstaff is on their game. I was so impressed with how the dinner went I felt compelled to call back the next day and DEMAND to speak to the manager only to cascade compliment after compliment on him. Everything Undici offered made the experience enjoyable for me, now if only I had foresight I would've taken her to Taco Bell

Absolutely stunning restaurant and bar. It's a find in Englewood- probably the nicest, maybe the only nice restaurant in E-town. However, If I'd been downtown, it'd be 3 stars. The menu was varied, and everything was great. I had the eggplant & mozzerella Salad. Delicious. Then Chicken Monte Cristo: lightly breaded chicken with pancetta, a great sauce and some of the absolutely best rosemary potatoes I have ever eaten. I took a bite from everyone else's plate, and it was all yummy: Fresh, homemade veggie ravioli and perfect fettucini alfredo. The breads: ciabatta and focaccia, and herbed oil were all tasty, and a great start to the meal. The menu was large, and everything looked great. Except, and it's mostly a personal thing: the only red meat was veal. While I don't eat baby cows who spend their entire life in little cages, I'm more than happy to eat the baby's mom... There were many, many vegetarian and chicken options, but I would have loved a steak or other red meat option. Dessert wasn't so great: both the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu lacked one little thing: taste. But, they have Lavazza coffee, which I love love love. So, it evened out. REALLY friendly staff, everyone was charming and interesting. But a little too much. Crossed the line between attentive and over the top. For sure I'll come back.

Wow. We had a really nice dinner there. The food was really good, and the service was just fine. The place was packed too on a Saturday nite. If you're looking for a moderate price night with good Italian, then try this place

It's been awhile since we ate at Undici, we are so glad we went back. I ordered the special of the evening, home made fettuccine noodles.... fantastic!! We need to support our neighborhood restaurants.. This is one of the best!

Looking at the previous reviews, I am feeling like a grinch giving this place only 3 stars. I have eaten here 5 times, most recently yesterday. It is a nice room and the food is good. Really like the white bean soup. Service is fine, probably a strong point. So why am I holding back? I guess I am comparing it to places like Alba in Boulder or Luca D'Italia in Denver. I just don't get the "innovative home cooking with freshly made pasta" feeling at Undici that I do at the others mentioned. Still, I like it and I think you will too. Just don't expect a 5 star experience.

I was immediately impressed with Undici's décor, especially since the façade of the building held no promise of elegance. The high ceilings and use of natural stone were quite lovely. Unfortunately, our dining experience didn't hold up to the surroundings. It didn't help that we had to wait forever for our server to bring us menus. Then we had to wait equally long for him to return to take our orders. We were grateful when the bread finally arrived at the table - nice, warm, crusty Italian bread with olive oil/balsamic for dipping. Unfortunately, it was the best part of our meal. My husband and I started with spinach salads, which were ruined by excessive balsamic vinegar in the dressing. Our mouths puckered at the extreme acidity and tartness. We both ordered chicken entrees - I had Pollo Monte Carlo while he had Piccata di Pollo al Limone. Both dishes involved chicken that had been cooked in identical fashion. Presumably, poached, because the chicken was not the least bit browned. It was very pale and, while moist, was not very tasty. The taste came more from the large amount of sauce on each dish. It was as if the dish was made in assembly line fashion, with the various ingredients tossed onto a plate and then sauce poured over everything. We skipped dessert entirely and headed to Bonnie Brae's instead. All in all, we both agreed that this place is barely a step above Olive Garden. I can't quite understand why former reviews billed this as some as the best Italian in Denver. Clearly, my husband and I will keep searching.

So I have these dear friends who have been talking up Undici for quite some time... Last night we made plans to eat together at Undici and I could see the cautious optimism in their faces as we neared the restaurant last night. They wanted us to love Undici as much as they do - but suddenly wondered if it would all fall into place. Well, seeing as it's been something like 36 hours since we sat down for dinner and I can't stop thinking about the DELICIOUS meal I had, I think it's safe to say that Undici is now on my favorite list as well! Our meal consisted of two bottles of Chianti (we received some good tips from the waiter, Tim, to select just the right bottle), caprese salads (each couple shared one - it's perfect to split), and chicken dishes for everyone. I had the Pollo Monte Carlo which was amazing. If you like Gorgonzola cheese and prosciutto, it's a must. My husband had the chicken special, which was a rolled chicken breast stuffed with a variety of veggies and cheeses. Yum! My plate came with asparagus (cooked just enough to keep it still crisp) and potatoes. Delicious. I am certain that dessert would have been amazing, but we simply couldn't fit another bite into our mouths. Undici is in an interesting location (near Swedish and Craig Hospitals), but despite it's location the place was buzzing and the owner was walking around making sure everyone was happy, which I always appreciate. I will go to Undici again for sure! You should, too. Enjoy!

This place had superb italian food. It is located on a corner and you have to park along the street but the building itself looks nice and welcoming. Inside the decor has lots of mirrors and one huge massive vase! We ordered an appetizer the brucshetta and it was great. I had the Chicken Monte Carlo and it was wonderful, the chicken was cooked in a wine sauce and it had a great flavor. My fiance had some kind of layered pasta and it was HUGE! He loved it. Overall this place is worth visiting some advice though the dining room is on the small side so make a reservation -- we didn't but we also ate at 5PM and the dining room was starting to fill up as we were leaving. We will definitely be visiting Undici again! The only bad thing I can think of is that I couldn't pronounce anything on the menu - hehe I don't speak italian so im pretty sure I butchered the saying of everything.

My favorite scene in Spinal Tap is when Nigel shows off his amp with the knobs that dial up to eleven. Sure, most people can turn it up to ten, but where can you go from there? Eleven has got to be better, right? Undici means eleven in Italian. I don't know if they're referring to the movie. They are dialing it up however. The restaurant is a great value, high end Italian food in upscale surroundings at moderate prices. It's located on the boundary of the forbidden zone, where Denver meets Englewood. I've hazarded the trek to the suburbs three times and I've been well rewarded on each excursion. My favorite item on the menu so far has been the humble house rigatoni with home made sausage in a hearty tomato / cheese / pancetta sauce. Drool. On other occasions I've inhaled the veal picatta, mahi mahi, and gnocchi. . . all with equal gusto. Both the caesar salad and the white bean soup also score a thumbs up. Everything has been consistently excellent, and delivered with above par service. The joint boasts a styley bar with fancy cocktails and wine list of regional Italian wines along with many Californian options. Don't worry about going thirsty here. Adjacent to the bar is a cozy lounge area. I once saw a couple making out there on the comfy leather couches, no doubt trying to work off the abundance of food before making the hike to their car. This place pulls in a very mixed crowd and has been fairly busy every time I have visited for diner. Good for a date, a celebration, or talking shop. Buon Appetito!

My wife & I frequently dine at Undici and this year decided to celebrate New Years Eve there. The service at Undici is top notch. The staff is well trained, attentive, and always very knowledgeable about the offerings. The decor is contemporary and sophisticated (white table clothes) yet the ambiance is warm and friendly with a stylish vibe. They were offering a special limited New Years Eve menu, not prix fixe, but with enough selections to satisfy our taste. The wine, appetizer, salad, my wife's main course, and the coffee & desert were all excellent. I had an unexpectedly poor tasting main course which was swordfish (otherwise 5 stars). I should have reordered but decided not to say anything because I did not want to spoil an otherwise very enjoyable evening. We still absolutely love Undici, but in the future, I will stick with the more traditional Italian dishes they do so well. Undici's prices are moderate to spendy, but worth it. You really should make a reservation for the best experience.

Probably the best Italian restaurant in Denver. The homemade seafood ravioli is phenomenal as well as the fettucine (handmade as well as ravioli). The salmon and brie appetizer is a must. Everytime we've been here, the service has been outstanding and the owners are a big part of that personal touch that's missing from so many eating establishments these days. The atmosphere/decor is very inviting. Undici is well worth the trip.

Undici's decor was very nice. We ate here with my family 13 of us. A little pricey it's a place that the entree doesn't include the soup or salad. The food was just okay. The service was good but the food took a longer we than we had hope. The best part was the warm crusty bread Yum!

My "wofe", and me had a great meal at Undici. This place does not have "yummy" food, it has very good Italian food, in an impressively interesting, and convenient locale. Great salcicce!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to be a little sarcastic of the previous reviews, but I had no choice.

My boyfriend and I went this past Valentine's day. The atmosphere was very nice but there was a bit of confusion once sat. The wait staff, although very nice, made us move once seated to another table to allow more seating for others (which is no big deal really). Once seated again, we ordered our food. The selection of entrees and appetizers wasn't as large as I was hoping for. There was maybe 6 choices for dinner and none of them really interested me that much (I was hoping for some kind of ravioli option). I ordered the fettucini with steak while my boyfriend ordered a chicken dish. Once the food came we began to eat. After about 1/3 of the way in our waiter came over and said he had given my boyfriend the wrong dish, and without even asking if he wanted to keep it switched it out for what he had ordered to begin with, (both dishes were very similar). Despite us trying three dishes each, not one of the dishes pleased us. The fetticini I had ordered reminded me of a salisbury steak microwave dinner, and at what it cost it was a great disappointed. I also tried the TWO dinners my boyfriend had received, both being a little too salty for my taste. I also noticed that the mashed potatoes that came as a side had no flavor whatsoever. For being so pricey, the dinner was terrible. The dessert although, wasn't too bad. Also, I liked the little box of chocolate each of the ladies received after dinner for V day, that was a sweet touch. But overall, with the confusion over seating and dinner orders, the food reminding me of a tv dinner, and the price being too much for what you got, I will never go to this restaurant again which is sad because my favorite food is Italian, and it's so close to my boyfriend's house. Oh well!

I've lived within a .25 mile distance from Undici for almost 5 years. I've passed it several times saying to myself "I need to try that place" and I finally did. I'm glad I did. I've been back a couple of times since. The atmosphere is fabulous, the staff is friendly, and the food is great. Everything I've tried has been amazing. The staff also knows a great deal on wines so they make the perfect suggestions on pairing. So glad I finally tried this place. It's now a favorite.

My wife and I actually visited here on recommendation from a friend who said it was his favorite Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is the only thing about this place to like. The food was quite expensive for what it was, the food was not very good, and worst of all was our waiter. We were there for over 2 hours and the waiter would just disappear for 30min-45min at a time. We wanted to try desert but since it was already 9:30 at night, we told them we didn't have another hour to stick around and try what was likely to be another disappointing dish. We won't be going back now that we have found Calore just around the corner which is much better although still slightly expensive

Very good customer service and a delicious Cioppino. I do love this little restaurant, but I have had better Italian food. I do recommend this place, but if you want your mind blown it won't happen here, however, you will leave satisfied.

Still 5 stars, after enjoying the full dinner menu! Vincent took excellent care of us. We sat in the bar area, which we prefer (TV's, soft couches). I had the salmon with lemon-caper-wine sauce. It was cooked perfectly! Delicious perfection, served with pillowy mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables. I love this place. The service, the charm, the ambiance - it's like a movie set, but better, because it's real.

I love this place and would recommend it to anyone! The service is exceptional, we had a server named Demetri and he was so attentive and took such great care of us. He was also exceptionally knowledgeable about wine and recommended the Greco to us which was a fabulous bottle. All of the entrees were exactly what we wanted (also recommended by Demetri :) Needless to say, anytime we come to Colorado this will be our Italian go to spot!

I only write reviews for the really good or the really bad, and let me say it's probably one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. George our waiter went above and beyond expectations and the food was exquisuite. I'll be back many many more times. I also forgot to mention it's extremely well priced!! 6 stars if I could!!

My wife and I enjoyed our dining experience recently sans kiddos. You would never be able to tell how good the restaurant is just by the surrounding neighborhood and looking at it from the outside. The restaurant is very modern inside, especially with the beautiful cascading waterfall. The tables are very roomy which is a big pet peeve of mine. There is a substantial amount of space between each table. The service was very good. Not in your face, get you out the door immediately speed, but just right. I started off with a Colorado Mule served in a copper mug. It is out of this world. I ordered Tortolleni en Brodo soup. Its is so good. Highly recommended. For my main dish I opted for the Mahi Mahi entree over a bed of mashed. The mix of flavors and presentation was superb. My wife ordered Chicken Marsala which is not on the menu but the chef will make for you if asked. A nice added touch to the evening was how concerned the hostess(sister-in-law to the owner) was about our meal. She came over to our table twice I believe to check in. I would say the only major drawback for me was the noise level. It was high(not the highest I have experienced) but enough to disrupt a table conversation. Now, wight hat said, it was a Saturday night and upstairs was a huge prom party of about 30 people. Downstairs also had a large party with about 20 people. I'm sure if you go during the week, the noise level is much more tolerable.

Just went on a date night with hubby. It was awesome! Great atmosphere. Cozy and intimate. Roses on every table. Had the sausage appetizer, cioppino and cheesecake. Leaving full to the brim! And happy:) Our server, Dimitri, was excellent! He made great recommendations and was super attentive. One of the best servers we've had in Denver! My hubby had the risotto special and thought it was awesome. An overall great experience. A great way to spend one of our few date nights without our kiddo.

I have been here a couple of time and I do like it. This review is for the happy hour. We stopped in today at around 4pm. Star one, owner recognized us from previous visits and we were greeted like old friends Star two, nice atmosphere. Its really a pretty place yet it was also sedate and calming exactly what we were looking for. Star three, happy hour. Deals on well drinks, wine and food Star four, Food, Italian nacho's were really tasty with homemade marinara. Meatballs and an excellent mushroom brochetta. Oh and anything with Italian sausage, I have to learn where they get that... Nice time $11 for 3 appetizers and great drink prices. Downside... no seating when everyone figures this out and comes running over from Swedish to take advantage of it.. Happily not yet

I've dined at Undici several times before and the food and service have always been outstanding. However, this review isn't about that. Last weekend my son and a group of 19 other High Schoolers came to Undici for their prom dinner. When they arrived they discovered that some horrible person had maliciously cancelled their reservation. There they were, all dressed up and no place to go. Undici could have turned them away. After all, it was a busy Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. Prom kids bring in very little revenue and teenagers aren't usually the best tippers. No one would have faulted them for saying sorry, we can't accommodate you. But they didn't, somehow they managed to shoehorn in a group of 20 grateful kids. Thank you for your great service and giving these kids a night to remember.

Took a bit of driving to get here, and you do traverse through a questionable area, but man oh man....the food was phenomenal. Easily the best bolonaise I've ever had. Service was fantastic. We stopped in on a Monday nite, so it was a bit slow and we got more attention that you'd typically get. Our entire party was happy with our selections. I cannot wait to go back.

We had a great date night this evening! We live in the neighborhood and have always wanted to try it out. Tonight was our first time in. We were warmly greeted and seated right away with our reservation. Tim was our server for dinner. Funny, nice, and seemed to genuinely enjoy working here. Food was great! Our drinks were just right. We left with warm wishes of a good night by the owners and hope to be back again very soon.

The bottom line is that everything at this restaurant from the service to the food was 2 out of 5 stars. Our napkins were dirty. We had two pepper shakers and no salt. The food was good but uninspired. I had chicken Parmesan that had what seemed to be a bottled vodka sauce. I was told the meatballs were flavorless. The homemade chips were greasy. The bread was so crusty it was hard to eat. Two of four meals came out together. Luckily they were sandwiches so no problem waiting to eat until the others came out several minutes later ... even after another table was served.

Excellent restaurant based on Fresh ingredients and not too many herbs. You can taste real food. The escargot is to die for and they have it on the menu almost all the time . Great wine list. The ambience is very attractive and the staff very friendly and helpful. Love it there. I will go back soon!

A total gem you would most likely drive right by if you didn't seek it out. From the cozy atmosphere to the well balanced wine list, the little things are not missed! The family employs an older, Italian chef and ensures the servers are welcoming and knowledgeable. We did a party upstairs for my birthday and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Great for families, date night, friends and happy hour, too.

I enjoy dining here on nights when we might dress more than casual. Great place to take a date. I always order the bolognese. It's damn good, in fact the best in Denver. The bread basket is amazing, and always full. Service is quick and helpful, the server usually has a good Italian wine recommendations. Italian wine is nice, but I'd like to see some local wines on the list. The bar is very nicely put together, and the bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. One of the nicer italian restaurants in Denver. Located in an unassuming neighborhood, Undici is a relaxing, classy place to take someone you want to impress.

Probably the best Italian in Colorado! Started with a very fresh ,fabulous Carpaccio and then some al dente aglio olio pasta and tender chicken, mama mia !!! Will be back for sure!!

First, service was excellent. Very friendly staff. Food was ......ok. Had the Alfredo and it was very oily and not very creamy. The weirdest thing was the water tasted like A) they shipped in from the taps of Texas 2) they first soaked dirty rags in it or 3) the building had dirty pipes. Something you are not use to when always drinking Colorado mountain water! Anyway, not the style of Italian food I like- but you might- so try it and decide for yourself.

Can definitely dress up to go here. The service was fantastic! We were there close to closing time (10:00 Saturday night) but we were greeted warmly and never felt rushed. Our server, Dimitri, was very informative and pleasant throughout the entire meal. The seasonal special of apple and fennel ravioli with fig was to die for! My husband had the clam linguine, yuuuuum! The garlic (and more garlic, and more garlic) was so good we had to order more bread to mop up the sauce. Oh yeah, calamari appetizer was very tender. Always a plus for calamari! We will be going back for sure :)

I enjoyed this place -- everything about it... we just had appetizers and drinks, but the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place for the area, and I'd love to try dinner some time as the menu and wine list looked great. I'd have to try lunch or dinner to give it more than 3 Stars, but that does not mean it's not a 4 or 5 Star place :)

We have gone here a couple of times and it's top notch! We sat at the bar this time and shared some hoes d'oeuvres; the Tucson soup was a delightful blend of white beans, sausage and rosemary with chunks of potatoes (the perfect thing for a cold blustery night). The calamari was lightly breaded and perfectly cooked, the peppers and sausage was served with a rich creamy polenta, and the bruschetta was fresh and flavorful. Although the bar is a little dark, the service is excellent and you can't beat the price for the quality of fresh ingredients expertly prepared!

There are not words for how great our dinner, or perhaps experience is more accurate, was at Undici! The owners and staff were warm and welcoming. Our server was top shelf, able to make great recommendations without being pushy and she clearly knew the masterpiece that is Undici's menu inside out. The food... Oh man the food was incredible. Literally everything was great and perfectly portioned. The tastes... I mean, just go. Seriously. I am a bit of a jerk about food (and ashamedly don't always favor Italian), and everything I tasted at Undici melted my doubts into edible bliss. And, lastly, the atmosphere/design is perfectly appointed; Undici clearly gets every single detail right. We live nearby and have driven past this place way too many times. We are kicking ourselves for taking so long to try this place, but are so grateful for having experienced the perfection named Undici. We will be back and if I haven't convinced you yet, you just need to go. Now. Seriously. You'll thank me and praise Undici afterwards. For those who didn't like this place, Swedish is down the road. I think you have something wrong with you.

A friend insisted that I try this place (she frequents often), but being Italian, I of course was hesitant. If I want Italian cooking, I either whip something up in my own kitchen or fly home to mom. That's just how we roll. But when we couldn't agree on anything else to eat, I caved. And I'm glad I did. I really liked that the menu didn't rely on pasta and sauce, as most Italian restaurants do. Because, even though I am Italian, I only eat pasta if it's supporting something like stuffed shells or lasagna. The bread, also not something I'm a huge fan of, was really yummy, and the server kept our plate of olive oil and baslamic full. I ordered a ceasar salad and chicken cacciatore. My only gripe with the salad was that it was too small. Dressing was awesome, and left me wanting more. The cacciatore was definitely different that what I'm used to in an Italian kitchen. Typically it's peppers and onions and whatever else in the kitchen stewed in a red sauce with an entire chicken. This menu insinuated that this was more reminiscent of a marsala, and peppers were not listed (again, not something I enjoy eating, so this was a big plus). The dish was amazing. Served with roasted potatoes and lots of fresh sauteed veggies, and the chicken consisted of just the breast portion. My friend said there was no way I would finish the dish, but to her surprise I gobbled the entire thing. Friend had the butternut squash stuffed ravioli. I tried it. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but I'm a definite savory girl when it comes to dinner. Had it been for lunch or brunch, it would have been more my liking. We split the tiramisu for dessert. Delish. The waiters were fantastic. Both spoke Italian and/or Greek, which made it a little more fun. And I'm glad that I've found a place that I wouldn't mind frequenting any time I'm in the mood for some good Italian food.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!! I can't even comment on the food because from the moment my boyfriend & I walked into this place, the service was THE WORST I've ever experienced! We felt "judged" as the "host" only offered to seat us in the bar (we weren't dressed poorly, just had some tatts showing). Then, after we asked to be seated in the dining room, they looked at us like we were circus freaks & the service only got worse. After sitting there for at least 15 minutes unattended to at all (it wasn't busy either), we got up & left with no notice. What a JOKE of an Italian restaurant...save your time & go to Carmine's on Penn.

This place is a hidden gem. It's not in a "bad" part of town but the area is a little frumpy. While you might be deterred by the 7-11 across the street, don't be! The atmosphere us warm and elegant and the food is yummy. I think the portion sizes are just right and the service is spot on. We went on a Wednesday and didn't need reservations. My husband got the special which was something with pork belly and I ordered the pollo alla cacciatora. Super tender, juicy chicken. I highly recommend that dish. It was my husband's birthday so they offer him dessert but he doesn't eat sweets, so our server brought us both a shot of limoncello. Overall, great experience and will definitely be going back.

A wonderful location and a great ambiance. The decor was very tasteful and very modern. We went on a Friday and had to wait a few minutes for a table, so we had a drink at the bar. The bartender was nice and suggested a very good Pinot Noir. We ordered the cheese plate, which was OK. Very standard cheese selection with nothing fancy. We were seated and taken care of quickly. Their service was attentive and everyone looked after you. We selected the pasta with vodka sauce and the chicken marsala. The bread and olive oil was one of the best parts of the meal. The entrees arrived rather quickly and very hot. Both dishes were a bit on the bland side and needed salt. We didn't have a salt shaker on the table and we asked a hostess for salt. She indicated the they usually put it on the table as they don't cook with salt. I found that to be an odd statement. Everyone needs to use a little salt! It helped. The pasta was my favorite of the two. The chicken and sauced needed more flavor and the vegetables needed to be seasoned more. We did not have a bad experience, but for the price, I don't think we will go back.

Had a really nice anniversary dinner here last night. Service was attentive and friendly and the inside was very clean and romantic. Food was excellent. Started with a Caprese dish and had the rack of lamb with pan fried gnocchi (very tasty, cooked perfectly). Wife had the chicken cacciatore (also very tasty) and ended the night with a cannoli. Great little Italian spot VERY close to home. We will be back!

I haven't been back to this place in a couple years (because of distance) and I wish I could come more often. The staff has always been attentive, friendly, and fun. Sometimes it can get cold inside due to the open nature of the floor plan but the staff will accommodate you as necessary. The gnocchi, caper veal, and squash ravioli are awesome. Every time I have visited the food is spot on. They are also always up front about what they do and don't have based on the seasons and freshness.

My wife and I live in Longmont and my Brother & family and Sister and family live in Colorado Springs. We're about 100 miles apart. We decided to get together for an evening and decided for a change we would all just meet half way for dinner, that put us in Denver. It was up to me to find a nice place and with all this said I found Undici (via Yelp) and we meet there, about an for each of us to get there. IT WAS WORTH IT! We had a fantastic meal, with great food, excellent service and overall enjoyment. There were six of us there for dinner tonight and everyone was completely happy with their orders, being family we passed around lots of bites: "here try this"..."mmmmm". I would recommend everything on the menu, not a misfire in the bunch. This is a great family run small, upscale but not overly expensive restaurant experience. I would say it's worth an hour long drive to have a meal as good as this and we will return when we can.

So back again I go to Undici's...In this area of town, I really do recommend this place if you are catching up with a friend and don't want to feel rushed, or, if you are having a business meeting, this is an excellent choice. The wait staff this visit, as compared to my previous visit, was attentive but didn't hover. In fact, he encouraged us to linger over a cappacino (which was beautifully made). My business date for lunch ordered the portabello and grilled chicken salad and it came in a huge bowl with fresh greens and lots of proteins. I, of course, had to get that fettucini with the bolognese sauce again. It's so rustic and hearty - with those homemade noodles it is the stuff of dreams (Italian dreams, that is...). My only issue with my meal was the side salad I ordered - I had to send it back b/c it was dressed with all vinegar. All in all, a nice spot for a business meeting - good food, quiet environment, attentive service and a reasonable price.

Not only is the food wonderful but the staff is attentive and the accommodating. We were in town to visit my parents for my dad's 84th birthday and wanted to take them out for a nice dinner on our last night in Denver before heading home. We had been to Undici several times in the past and most recently earlier in the summer for a celebration dinner with friends. We immediately thought of Undici for this dinner and suggested it to my folks. They were excited and my dad was hoiping to get one of his favorite dishes, mushroom risotto. We went online to check out the menu and realized that, sadly, there wasn't a risotto listed. Knowing that it was, otherwise, the perfect place we decided to just call and see if there might be some chance that risotto would be offered as one of the specials that night. My hubby called and asked and was told that, no it was not on the next night's specials, BUT the chef would gladly prepare some just for us. WOW, that was above and beyond and I must say it was heavenly, as were the other dishes we ordered. So if it's food you are going for, you won't be disappointed. If service is important then Undici will impress you. Most importantly, if it's the kindness of the people who own and work there that set the whole tone for a good restaurant, then this is the place you will want to go.

Good wait service. Marginal bruschetta, bread seemed stale and not a ton of taste. Risotto was very well made, lots of flavor and not too heavy. Cannolis were lovely. Nice ambiance in restaurant and a very full wine selection.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
