I have been to funeral homes with more life! Talk about skimping on the herbs..geez...The atmosphere was stale and lifeless...Pho was average but i have to wonder how a place like this stays in business and makes money!

I went here a while back while in town. I'd never had Pho before. But it was pretty good over all. I was a little confused by the menu. I was afraid of what I was ordering. But it came out. Looked pretty normal and I ate it up just the same. The girl I was with kept explaining what everything was which was pretty helpful. But then again I kept wanting to tell her that if I don't know what it is I'll assume it's something I know and it won't oogie me out. But even everything that was in there nothing really did me in. YAY! Will I be back, probably.

Great food! Great portions. Got to try "number 10", brisket and steak. Very friendly quick service. Had take out.......would not recommend dining in, unless shooting for a "dive bar atmosphere".

This place is not horrible by any means...but there is a better place just down I-25 with the same name on Arapahoe. Better broth, more meat and all in all a better restaurant. You will get an OK bowl of Pho here, so if your in need of a fix don't avoid this place, but if you have the time take the extra 5 minutes and drive to Arapahoe's Pho Saigon.

Not bad. Rare steak with well brisket was pretty good size for a medium. Not cheaper than other pho restaurants but not too much more expensive. The inside is kinda depressing but it does look clean. The owner was a little unpleasant. I'll just keep getting mine to go.

As an avid PHO connoisseur I will drive one hour round trip to eat good noodles on Federal. The drive can be a bit of a hassle for those of us that live in south Denver. I have driven by Pho Saigon for a few years now which is a good sign that they must have good product to stay in business. I decided to take a venture in after seeing some reasonable reviews. The restaurant is fairly small and nothing fancy on the inside. They do burn loads of incense in the entry way. this must be for good luck or something. Anyways the menu has much more than PHO in terms of Vietnamese food but I am a PHO guy and wanted desperately to find some soup that was worthy of keeping me in south Denver. I ordered a rare steak bowl and what I got was very decent indeed. I have been three times and hammered out my meal each time. This place will never replace 79 or Duy but its a good compromise close to Highlands ranch. I would recommend this to any PHO connoisseurs in the area.

Pho Saigon is a winter staple in my family. Cold, wintery days practically beg for a steaming Pho Bowl, and with those prices it's very do-able. This is a very sparse, sterile eatery, once occupied by a bagel place. It's got a clean look, with some token Asian decoration at the front counter and entryway, including the obligatory jolly Buddha. It is family owned, and if you're a regular you'll get warm smiles and conversation. They've recently expanded the menu to include hotpot and curry, but the staple here is still the Pho Bowls. I've tried the Chicken Pho Bowl which is good, but I think beef fits the bill here much better. My choice is the #8, beef skirt and flank steak. A medium sized bowl will more than satisfy your hunger. Before they bring out the Pho bowls, they haul out a massive plate covered in bean sprouts (mung?), limes, and enough basil to make your olfactory wild. Then you get the Pho bowls - huge porcelain canyons filled with thin noodles, some scattered onions, thin strips of beef soaked in the broth, and all the toppings you can help yourself to. Feel free to modify the flavors - each table has soy sauce, hoisin sauce and Sriracha available to make it salty, sweet or spicy. I prefer a little soy sauce and the lightest touch of hoisin. After you've devoured all the solids you'll be pretty full, but the broth is just too good to let go to waste. So I always end up walking away feeling a bit "sloshy." Though it's a sideshow, the Thai iced tea is pretty good too, though definitely packed with ice. One or two times I've been served with very, very off-tasting water, as if it were heavily chlorinated, but this is twice out of many visits, and I always just ask for another glass. Next to the meal, the best part of the meal is paying for it. This is what Mom and Pop eateries are all about - fresh, good food served on a budget.

Came here a month ago because my hubby and I were craving Vietnamese food. We know our Vietnamese food well. We usually go to the other one of the same name located on Arapahoe (but different owner), but decided to go to this one considering it's closer to home. I was truly disappointed. We ordered the egg roll appetizer, a charbroiled combo dish and a chicken pho. For the price we paid and the quantity/quality, we would have been better off going to the one on Arapahoe. Portions were scarce and their food left a lot to be desired. The charbroiled meat was rubbery and highly seasoned to the point of salty and you could hardly taste the charbroil flavor. Chicken in the pho seemed like it was dry and non-existent. Egg rolls consisted more of the egg roll skin rather than the pork filling. Highly disappointed. We'll take the extra 10 minutes to drive out to the other Pho Saigon on Arapahoe from here on out.

What no 0 stars?!? Was my friends most favorite spot that we have gone to for years. That is until today I saw him almost puke most of his large bowl back when he scooped a pretty juicy fly. Wanted to grab a pic but waiter took it right back as soon as we pointed it out to him. Oh and bill was full price.

If you enjoy Below average Pho, grumpy service, zero ambiance, weird vibe, commercials over the radio through your meal, this is the place for you.

Mediocre service as most pho places & the Pho is salty!! Tried 3 times now. Worst pho I've ever had! & I'm Asian!! & I'm a pho connoisseur

Ordered pho and egg rolls and a drink from here, for delivery. Not sure if this is their fault or mr. Deliverys, but the food was cold, the drink was the wrong one, and the soup was delivered upside down, so there was no broth in the container, it just all spilled out soaking the other containers of food. Won't be ordering here again.

I wouldn't come back here. Pho soup tasted too strong and tasted meaty. There are much better Pho than this. Spring roll was just so so.

An Asiaphile chef friend of ours introduced us to Pho Saigon a number of years ago saying it's the best Pho in Denver. Could he be wrong? Sure. But he's a chef, and he's eaten things straight from fishtanks in Saigon and Hong Kong, so I'll take his advice over my Buffalo Wild Wings buddies any day. It is not a place you go for any sense of ambiance...yeah there's a Buddha and a lucky bamboo obligatory decor, but the rest of the place is pretty much as utilitarian and uninspired as it gets. And, I wish they had a liquor license. Having said that: The Pho is wonderful, but you've got to be committed to eat that much broth! The vermicelli bowls are our favorite. I prefer the beef and my wife and little boy love the chicken. Someday I hope to be brave enough to try tendon. :) Don't take a date unless you want to impress her by how unimpressive you're trying to be. But if you enjoy good food and don't care about anything else? This place is great. ADDITION: I have since tried the Sugar Cane with Shrimp paste...and it's fantastic! "Sugar Cane...with Shrimp Paste?!" you're saying incredulously? "I KNOWWWW!" says I.

The Pho is the best I've had. No, I'm probably not an expert, but I've eaten a lot of pho and this certainly is the best in Denver that I've tried. What's too bad is that I'm not much of a fan of any of their appetizers... but if you're craving pho, this can't be beat. The broth is what makes it. Much better than the other Saigon on Arapahoe or Pho Vy locally - not even close actually. I like the number 10, which is a mix of rare steak and brisket. It's what the owner will recommend if you ask him and he's right!

Great food, liked the Pho and Vermicelli with beef and spring rolls. Generous portions and right prices. The service is fast and friendly.

I came here 30 minutes before closing time and the worker did not look happy though I am under the impression that he always looks like that. He did not greet us and his face did not budge from his bored "I hate life" expression. We were seated and I ordered a pho tai chin small for under $6. I also got a coconut taro smoothie (a combo I have never seen before). The broth here does not taste like any other pho broth I have had before. There was a strong cilantro flavor that, though fragrant, did not make the broth taste like traditional pho broth. Their size small is smaller than the average pho place's size small so I recommend getting a medium if a size small at other pho places is what you're expecting on getting. The restaurant itself feels clean and open and parking is easy as they have their own lot. However "meh, I've experienced better."

Energy 2 stars Service 3 stars Food taste 4 stars Food Extras 2 stars First time here. Specifically went to try out their pho. I always get the Pho Thai. They charged extra for additional toppings, so we passed on asking for the chopped onions and cilantro we always get...it actually made a big difference without them, so we should have just gotten them. My son noticed that in his pho, the meat was much better than normal...much more tender (he got the one with the beef and brisket). He really enjoyed it. I agreed that the meat was good and also noticed that they seemed to put more meat in there than other places do. Location is probably not the best for them. It is near the US Toys and Construction place. During the whole time we were there, there was only one other table of people, in addition to us...however, it was around 4PM, so not the "busy" time.

I've been to this place several times over the past 10 years & I'm not sure what happened?? Maybe new management? I don't know but stopped by today for lunch & left wondering what the hell happened. I'm pretty sure my 4 year old could cook better food! Everything was too salty except the fish sauce which had no flavor at all. Complained to the waitress politely & she took it personally. Told us she's vegetarian so she can't relate. Then she kept going on about how she's a student & wants to be a plastic surgeon someday. That's great for her. In any line of business you still have to provide good customer service??!!? Am I wrong? She had to call the manager to get approval to give us 10% discount. Too bad all they care about is making a few bucks off hard working families. Don't go here unless you want to throw away your money. Hands down WORST food I've ever eaten anywhere. Very unfortunate, I don't write many reviews, only when it's soooooo bad that I need to warn others. Negative stars if I could. PS the floors are filthy & so was the bathroom!

This place is by far the best pho in Denver! It's family owned and operated! His pride in good pho is apparent. If you like greasy pho that is heavy and makes you feel lethargic than you won't like this pho. Sure the sizes are a little bit smaller than pho else where but you can't beat the taste. I am addicted to the small p 11. I can't get enough of the spring rolls. If you haven't had any of the smoothies you should try them. This place is awesome. Anyone who reviews otherwise is a straight dum dum (the kind that you get at the end of your pho, the ones that come in that pretty basket, but the crappy flavors that no one wants). They are very sweet to those that make it a point to not cheat on them and go elsewhere. But in my opinion they work hard to give you the flavors that are light, delicious and tasty. No one has ever had an attitude while I was there. The guy who works is a bit older than the young college kids serving pho elsewhere so maybe you all should lighten up on him. He has always been fast and very quick to serve me and I've seen him in there when it was packed and he made sure everyone had their food hot and water! If he was my grandpa or father I would applaud him for such service. All in all this is the best pho place and I tend to renew my lease so I can live and stay as close to this pho as possible. Haha that was dumb but seriously. CheerZ!!!!

Great Pho. Wasn't a fan of noodle beef because it was a VERY small portion for the price...even though taste was great.

Bleh. Bleh bleh bleh. I've only been here once, but that's one time too many. I ordered the bun bo hue and I can say it is without a doubt the worst bun bo hue I've ever had. The waiter asked if I wanted it spicy and I said only a little, so of course they dumped about three spoonfuls of chili oil in there. I have to admit though, were it not for that, the broth would have no flavor whatsoever. The meat offering was sparse, no pig knuckle, and no banana blossoms. I'm not even sure they can legitimately call it bun bo hue. Didn't try the pho, but my boyfriend said it was not the greatest. Not bad, but not the greatest. Sorry, Pho Saigon. Maybe I just came on a bad day, but I'm not anticipating a return anytime soon.

The most delicious Pho on this side of town. Service is always quick. I like to come in after the lunch or before dinner. The atmosphere is very relaxed, you'll never feel hurried even if it is busy. Once in awhile the owner will add a new delectable dish to try. Reminds me of some of the foods my grandmother, aunties, and mom would make.

Best pho in town! Great little place to go for soup when the weather gets cold. Super fast service, My favorite is the #16, my wife's favorite is the #14...they have a great selection to choose from.

I always get my pho fix at the place on Arapahoe and Clinton by the same name. I was referred to this location by a friend who raved about it, so of course I had to give it a try. Apparently, there is no relation between this place and the one on Arapahoe. The location is very discrete at the end of the strip mall that U S Toys is in. The dining area itself is even more indiscreet as it is very sparsely decorated. But then again your there to eat and not to be mesmerized by the decor. I ordered a large bowl of pho with tendon and tripe. (Yes, I know, I'm weird. Refer to my slogan.) It came out piping hot, as it should, and was aromatic. There was a good portion of rice noodles in it, but I found that the amount of tripe and tendon were on the light side. (It's not like these items are uber expensive.) My wife had ordered the pho with rare steak and she mentioned that the quantity of meat in her bowl was slim compared to the Pho Saigon on Arapahoe. The broth was good and comparable to the other place, but overall..I give the nod to Pho Saigon on Arapahoe. Thou I must say that the boba or "bubble tea's" we had were pretty darn good here. This location is a destination for us, where as the location on Arapahoe is closer ...and better. But if you are in the area, it wouldn't be a wrong decision to stop in and get your pho fix and get a boba while your at it.

  • Idan S.

This place really lucked out - they found a market with no competition anywhere near. Being that this is the only pho restaurant in the area, they naturally get everyone who doesn't want to drive 20 minutes for a bowl of soup. I've eaten there several times now, and have to say their pho is neither horrible nor great - it's just alright. But since there aren't any other pho restaurants in the area I'll still come back. My only complaints are that they are pretty skimpy with the meat and vegetable portions (even for the large bowls), and that the service there sucks.

    (3)
  • Aaron C.

This place has been killer the past few visits, although they tend to not have what I want on occasion - a few times I ordered tendon and was told a few minutes later they were out? Odd. (Tendon is the best, and they have good tendon.) Not quite the best pho in the Denver area, but really, really solid. A trip or two more to confirm should be good. Excellent service, too. I've seen the place packed with only the one older waiter, and he is attentive, friendly and on top of his shit.

  • Brian R.

A little hole-in-wall that makes some great food! I love the pho (brisket is my choice) and my wife loves the beef rice bowl (beef marinated in seasonings and cilantro with cucumbers). We love coming here after church on Saturdays. Never crowded, reasonably priced. Service is prompt, if brusque. The owner is always around, which I like at a restaurant.

Just stopped by the Walgreens and saw Pho Saigon. I decided to try it for lunch. It was very delicious. Everything was fresh and I got it to go in under 10 minutes. I will be back.

This is a little family wend restaurant, and is consistently good. The price is reasonable to the size of the serving, and the food tastes fresh. This is a family owned place, and as we get to know the owners better, have fallen in love with them. They are a sweet family, and they work to provide a great meal. I have never been greeted by anything less than a smile, and thank you for coming. They are a no frills, all thrills restaurant, if you like good pho, which is consistently prepared, and served by a loving family.

As anyone who has read my reviews knows, I don't know much about food from Southeast Asia (Indochina), whatever. I'm much more in tune with Northeast Ohio cuisine. Anyway, this place was quite good. The ambiance is plain and simple. The menu is simple too, with Pho (soup) the main offering. Choice of meat/shrimp. I got Pho with rare beef and well done brisket. As I said, I wouldn't really know bad from good as comparisons go, but this was very tasty. I also got lemon iced tea which was quite good. My total bill was $6.95. I left a couple bucks for a tip. If you want a simple but good evening out (especially when out solo like I was), this is the place. Also, don't expect them to bring you a check, just walk up when you're done. The guy at the register is paying close attention. One thing that would never happen again, but certainly made this enjoyable was the excellent conversation behind me about cosmetic surgery, weight loss and the cost of nips, tucks and various body part enhancement, by 3 20-something gals. Life is so interesting.

I eat Pho at least once a week. It is worth the drive from Castle Rock. The food is always amazing and the as the service may not be the best, I have come to the realization that they prefer to leave you alone during your meal. But before and after they are always talkative and very friendly. I absolutely love this place!!! The food is delicious and comes out in 5 minutes. Wouldn't want to go to any other place for my rice noodle bowl.

Atmosphere 0. Food 4. Good food, but terrible atmosphere! A school lunchroom has more character and better lighting! You could go blind with the bright lights above! If you go here I suggest you take the food home. Baseboards were FILTHY and need to be replaced! If your going out to eat Pho there are several options that compare on quality of food and price, but far exceed this place on cleanliness and atmosphere.

  • Tyler H.

Decent Pho, terrible service. The location is a little hidden (on the west side of the street, tucked away by Mineral). Good value for the money, and an easy place to sit and talk- which we did for two hours waiting for the waiter to come back and check on us, refill our drinks or bring the check. We finally had to go up to the front and ask how we paid, and he was sitting on a pile of checks there. It's clean and well lit, but the tables are on top of each other and it's much better for a friend gathering than a business meeting or a date. There were several tables with little kids, so I assume it's good for them. I would go back if happened to be in the area, but probably not worth a special trip.

Such a special day for me. One that a girl never forgets: my first time...and it took place right here. Yep, that's right...I'm no longer a Pho virgin. I will always remember the sights, smells, and tastes from that day. A little on the cautious side, I just went with the rare steak Pho. How surprised I was when it came out so fast! and was so big! Such a glorious and sensual bowl full of noodles, broth, and steak. I added tons of beansprouts, jalapenos, and Sriracha, with a little basil and lime (I like it spicy!!). I was a little awkward at first, not sure what to do with all the utensils and my hands. Thank goodness my more experienced dining partner was there, coaching me on. And then I was hooked. From that day on, I can't get Pho off my mind. I want it morning, noon, and night...7 days a week. My name is Lacey and I'm a Pho-aholic. Since my first time, I have experienced others. First there was Duy and then Van. Both satisfied me in ways that Saigon just couldn't, until even the name was just a distant memory. However, I will definitely be back to visit Saigon every now and then...mainly due to the convenience factor...being so close to my work. This place will always hold a special place in my heart...because you never forget your first!

  • Desiree P.

We had this last night for dinner. It was our first time going there. It was good. It's not our first choice, but, if we're ever in the area we'd definitely go here again. The one thing I didn't like about the spring rolls was that they had bean sprouts in them. I guess I'm just not used to them like that. I have to say is that the steak was good and the brisket was very tender with very little fat.

    (3)
  • Mark T.

I order from Pho Saigon twice a week and I'm never disappointed! I entered a weight loss competition and I'd decided that Pho should be a staple of my new diet. The owner had no trouble replacing rice noodles with more of everything else, for no additional charge. The fact is if you want Pho with great ingredients and you want it quick, this is the best place I have been.

    (5)
  • A G.

This is my sig other's favorite Pho place and I like it very much as well. The service is very friendly. (Some people might be put off by the server's initial stand offish attitude but I swear he warms up very quickly. Also- I've overheard some people complaining about not receiving their check but please know that in Vietnamese culture it is considered rude to bring a check as it signals the restaurant trying to make you leave. They want you to take your time so if they aren't bringing your check, don't be offended.) We often get the egg rolls, our pick of Pho combination, and sometimes a Boba. The food always comes out promptly unless you're there around 12:00-1:00 in which it gets a little busy there. I'm rounding up with my rating but I'd probably give it a 3.75. This is a good place for a typical Pho restaurant but it didn't give me quite the nostalgia that Pho 120 gives. If you're only looking for Pho, then this is the place , but if you are looking for other options for traditional vietnamese cuisine, I don't think this would be the right choice. They do have grilled dishes, curry, and some other choices but there's nothing really home-style about it.

Pho makes me happy! The broth is clear and fresh, I love it for days when my throat aches - clears it right up. The bahn mi is yummy too. Been going here for near five years and I don't plan on stopping!

  • Erin S.

Cheap and filling. Medium size pho is huge, You won't go hungry. Less than $7 If you are not a red meat eater, this isn't the pho joint for you. But if you like the red meat, there are about 20 different options. For the adventurous, they have tripe and tendon pho. I stuck with brisket and steak and it was very good, but I did think it was a bit lacking in cilantro (I like a lot of cilantro). Service was fast and efficient. Ambiance was lacking, but I've come to expect nothing from decore and vibe at any Pho restaurant.

  • Yvonne C.

I am so excited that I don't have to drive to Federal and Mississippi for Pho during lunch anymore. I like that the broth here doesn't leave a weird after taste in my mouth and that they use the right type of noodles. Get there early though, they get really busy around 11:45 to noon and you'll have to wait to get in. Also, don't be offended if 'Spots' doesn't smile at you, he doesn't smile at anyone. Can you maybe have a veggie/tofu option??

I just came back from Pho Saigon and was stunned. I am still eating what I brought home. The service was impeccable - spot on, courteous and always there there the second you needed anything and attentive. The food was perfect. I have never had a meal that didn't either need something, however small, or was too something. This was perfect, absolutely perfect. I am floored.

This particular Pho Saigon is on Quebec & County Line Rd. There's another Pho Saigon on Arapahoe Rd., one block east of I-25. They are owned by different people, just same name. Reading through the reviews here of the Quebec place I'm wondering if people accidentally or mistakenly wrote positive reviews of the Arapahoe location. This Quebec location Pho Saigon was horrendous last 3 times I went there... yes, I shouldn't have given it this many chances - but I kept thinking maybe I caught them on a bad night... once, twice, three times? No, didn't happen and there will be no fourth time. Absolutely tasteless, watery beef broth; rubbery pieces of beef, mostly inedible muscles; not much noodles (common, it's pho); old, limpy, dead vegetables :( Overpriced for mediocre quality. The owner has no class, rude, and has no care in the world about customers. Last 2 times I went, the place was dead. Now after discovering the Pho Saigon on Arapahoe, I'm relieved to find good pho close to my house without having the need to drive to Far East. Pho 79 is still my favorite. If you live in the South Denver, give Pho Saigon on Arapahoe Rd. a try, you won't regret, way better than this place...

  • David T.

The best! I have been going her for the past 2 years and love it, they know how to make an authentic bowl of pho. The price is great and the size of the bowls are huge! Get yourself a tasty fruity drink to top it off!!

  • Mary S.

The best pho I've ever tasted! I've tried so many different Asian restaurants in the south Denver area and usually ended up disappointed. But Pho Saigon saves the day! Even my San Franciscan foodie husband loved it! Authentic Vietnamese at its best. We liked it so much we ordered extra dishes mid-meal!

  • Kelly M.

While we have a different Pho Saigon closer to home, this one is our pho spot of choice. They're neat, quick (except when you order a boba or smoothie... I think we drive them mad when we order those), and I am in absolute love with their broth. I wish I could get more limes on our veggie plate, but, I just love the sour/hot combination when I add the sriracha. The staff is courteous, and if you become a regular, they become a lot friendlier. We can't help going here at least once a month.

Pho Saigon is as good as it gets in Denver in regards to service. I have tried Pho all over the country and this is rates highly. The staff is professional. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Honestly, it used to be my favorite, but I get more for my money at Pho 95 and the food tastes better.

Since moving to Denver from Phoenix about a month ago or so, I've really enjoyed trying new places (mostly on the casual side) and had no idea that Vietnamese food is so popular in this area...there is literally a Pho restaurant in every strip mall. After having a FABULOUS experience at Pho 79 in Aurora and leaving there completely stuffed beyond belief, our experience today at Pho Saigon was completely AWFUL!!! Based on our recent experience with portion size as well as the fact that neither of us were ravenously hungry, we opted to share a Vermicelli Bowl w/ chicken ($7.95). The large bowl that was served had literally one cup of rice noodles with a few sorry looking pieces of chicken and a bunch of greens and barely a handful of beansprouts on top....WTH??? Last time I checked rice and noodles are some of the cheaper filler items! We both speculated that they were irritatedby us sharing an item and decided to retaliate by giving us a pathetic portion! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE, EVER! The location and ambiance leave much to be desired (my companion refused to even use the restroom) and the service was rushed and barely cordial. I must also mention that the soda was served in a 12 ounce can...Ha Ha! This was definitely our worst dining experience in Denver to date...I'll be back to Pho 79 ASAP :)

So Ive never tried "pho" before, so bare with me. The setting was dull, and the service was conducted by individuals who looked like students who were more interested in reading their text books than anything else. I ordered the "well done flank and skirt steak", I was impressed the dish was simple and delicious. I ordered the small and expected something the size of a egg drop soup, but the size filled me up. Side note, this place according to the menu, was voted "best of authentic Vietnamese cuisine" in 2007 by westword.

I went to this restaurant yesterday and the food was not bad, but the bad thing was my bill was $27.13 so added tip for $3. Next day I checked my bank account they charged me $6 for the tip. I don't want to make a big deal with that 3 bucks but hey they are cheaters! :) I won't go back for sure!

I've had pho a few times before but never thought my wife would like it. Yesterday, her and her BFF went out to lunch for a girls day and she had pho for the first time. I guess she liked it. So much that she wanted to go back for lunch today. The restaurant is pretty small, basic, but very clean. The pho was very good, with plenty of noodles, meats, and veggies. Pho is such a good meal for a cold day, which it was today. The veggies were all very fresh. Prices are reasonable and portions are ample. A medium serving was more than enough for me to finish so I actually took the leftovers home. Before we left, we ordered a delicious bubble tea for the road. Now that I know she's addicted to pho, we'll be going here (or other pho places) more frequently.

This place gets 5 stars from me, but it's because I'm from Colorado Springs. Keep in mind, I have not tried other pho places in Denver. I love this place because whenever I'm on my way back from snowboarding, I take I-70 to 470 and this place is right off the highway. Nothing quite like a hot bowl of pho when you're cold and tired. First of all, the pho is not the best I've ever had (well I did grow up in California), but this is the first place in Colorado where everything is done RIGHT! The pho is pretty cheap, it's only about $6 a bowl (depending on what size you choose) and they give you plenty of meat and noodles. The 5-star rating comes from the fact that they actually have tripe. It is so ridiculously hard finding pho with tripe in Colorado, that I instantly fell in love with the place. Also kudos for having different bowl sizes to choose from, which other restaurants lack. The fresh rolls (shrimp and pork with veggies wrapped in rice wrap) were very fresh and tasted great. The peanut sauce was good, not watered down like some other places. Out of the 4 pho restaurants I go to in Colorado, this is by far the best and that's coming from a huge CA pho snob!

We came to this place completely unplanned - after shopping at the US Toys, we saw the long line at Steak and Shake across the parking lot and decided to give pho Saigon a try. it was really a pleasant surprise. We ordered the following: - Beef pho (really good broth and great quality of meat) - Lemon grass chicken over rice (even my picky kiddos couldn't get enough of the chicken) - Lemon grass beef (had to order additional meat to go with my rice and it was tender, flavorful and very delish) - Egg rolls - yum! I don't care much about ambiance - as long as the food is great and service is quick - I have no complaints! I am paying for the food afterall. And the service was QUICK! Very essentail for a family with little kiddos! Would definitely go back there many many times in the future.

Excellent food. Very, very modest interior but it is clean and the food is very fresh. I ordered Chicken Pho (like your grandma's homemade chicken noodle soup if your grandma is Vietnamese). It was delicate, clean tasting with white meat only. The garnish plate came with loads of very fresh and clean Thai basil, fresh lime wedges, very fresh bean sprouts and fresh slices of jalapeno. The spring roll was also fresh and clean tasting; remember with Vietnamese food it's all in the sauces which are easy to customize for your own tastes. I mixed my favorite which is a combination of the gingery sauce served with the spring roll, sriracha and soy. Lots of kick and flavor. We couldn't believe how good the food was; if you're looking for ambiance this ain't it but if you want good FRESH food (Good Lord, I have overused this word in this review) that's wholesome, look no further. They do take out as well. HINT: as in many Vietnamese places, the server gives the check to the front so don't wait for the bill, just pay on your way out.

It's just as well their pho was good because if this review was based on much else - especially service - Pho Saigon would be getting one star. Ok, so the food: For an appetizer, we decided on Vietnamese Egg Rolls which turned out to be really tasty, especially dipped in the accompanying vinegary sauce, but they were expensive for what you got ($5.75 for four. One person could easily have eaten all four. They were about half the size of a regular egg roll). Next, I ordered a large pho with brisket, flank, tendon and tripe ($7.95). My god, this thing was HUGE! I loaded it up with the fresh beansprouts and Thai basil, gave it a few squirts of fresh lime juice, and a couple of generous glugs of hoisin sauce, and I was good to go! It was jam-packed with tender meat, a decent amount of tripe but not a lot of tendon. The noodles were firm and chewy, and the broth was nicely flavored. And you know what, I ate the whole damn thing! I had to practically crawl out of the place when we left. His Grilled Lemongrass Chicken ($7.50) was nothing spectacular, and if there was actually lemongrass in it, neither one of us could taste it. Disappointing. Now, the service: Of course it's not uncommon for servers/owners to be more friendly and chatty with their friends and/or people who are regulars at their restaurant. Here, however, there was a stark difference between the warm smiles and friendly banter shared with some customers, and the complete frosty indifference shown to us. As I say, my pho was decent so it didn't bother me that much. Maybe with a few more visits, we too will be treated like human beings. Here's hoping!

I had the spring rolls and Bun Dac Biet. The food tasted very good. It was very busy at the time I went so had to wait longer than usual to be waited on. The time from ordering to food on the table was very quick.

I really enjoyed my pho here. It's not THE best I've ever had, but it was far from the worst. The broth was a little weak, but at least it didn't have the overwhelming beef flavor that some pho has. I would have liked more noodles in the small size, but I'll just know to get the medium size next time. The restaurant is quite spartan on the inside and smells a little bit like bleach, but I came for the pho, not the decor. I'm really happy that this place is closer to my house than most of the pho restaurants in town. This means I will definitely be back for more.

I have eaten here a lot, I agree it's the best in the area. All the other places I have been to were back in my pho rookie days so I can't really make a good comparison. I am planning on checking into a couple of the others mentioned by yelpers. The owners are very friendly (apparently if you are a regular it helps). My girlfriend feels that the waiter isn't friendly-noticeably to females; but he usually leaves me with a kind word or gesture( there may be a language or cultural thing involved here?). I always leave satisfied, our 2 1/2 year old loves it, every pho virgin I have brought here has been back on there own. That sums it up.

  • T L.

I had my medium size pho today. The soup was a little salty. Meats weren't fresh and the veggie was little yellow/old. A lunch that cost $7.43 is not much but with pho this is overkilled. Give me a break, what in the bowl that cost so much?

Unfortunately for us, we decided to give this pho place a shot. Not only was there non existent customer service, a customer with her 3 kids warned us as she was leaving, that it took an hour for the food to come out. Alas, just as we were about to take off, our table was finally ready. Looking around, there were plenty of dirty tables and as we waited the 15 mins to be recognized as patrons, many unhappy customers waited too. Some had to ask for water, some asked for sauce and some silverware... Plainly it was just a very sad atmosphere... Every customer quiet and uncomfortable. When the food finally came out, they were paired with a lonely plate of veggies which was quickly consumed. My bowl of vermicelli and egg rolls was small and unappetizing. Even so, I ate the whole thing since I was soooo hungry by then. The one redeeming quality that earned them 1 star= the pho broth ( my husband was eating) was actually pretty good. Overall, I would NOT venture into this place again. Save your time and money and take it somewhere else!!!

Went here for the first time this weekend and got pho with chicken and vegetables, no noodles. I got it to go and was pleasantly shocked at the amount of fresh vegetables they gave me, as well as all the basil and lime and jalapeños in another bag. The broth was the best I have had and they were very friendly. I will be returning tonight!

CheerZ!!!!

I love this cozy little place. The regulars' commitment, alone, shows its popularity. Never overcrowded but always busy, the staff is extra friendly in an adorable way. The pho broth is rich and flavorful, and I love that it comes with a plethora of bean sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapeños. Best for daily lunch or sick days, in my opinion: they do not serve alcohol.

I had the spring rolls and Bun Dac Biet. The food tasted very good. It was very busy at the time I went so had to wait longer than usual to be waited on. The time from ordering to food on the table was very quick.

The best! I have been going her for the past 2 years and love it, they know how to make an authentic bowl of pho. The price is great and the size of the bowls are huge! Get yourself a tasty fruity drink to top it off!!

    (4)
  • T L.

I had my medium size pho today. The soup was a little salty. Meats weren't fresh and the veggie was little yellow/old. A lunch that cost $7.43 is not much but with pho this is overkilled. Give me a break, what in the bowl that cost so much?

Went here for the first time this weekend and got pho with chicken and vegetables, no noodles. I got it to go and was pleasantly shocked at the amount of fresh vegetables they gave me, as well as all the basil and lime and jalapeños in another bag. The broth was the best I have had and they were very friendly. I will be returning tonight!
