Best BBQ around! The Eagle location is a great place to go with kids too. They have an indoor area for kids and also have a fenced in side yard with picnic tables so you can eat and let the kiddos run around and play!

Have eaten at Moe's for years sporadically, mostly because my first experience was not so good, and I don't travel to the Eagle area much. Went on a trip to Bonfire Brewery and headed down to Moe's as a result and it was not a good experience at all. End of shift, and out of pulled pork (its a pork place after all), was told I should have come earlier. Got a 1/2 chicken instead and it was bland, and gave me the squirts the next morning like water. Staff no so good either, but not terrible. What ever happened to the notion and practice that customers are first, and they make the business go around? Have decided (maybe finally) that visiting Moe's just isn't worth it any more), will not return. Giving up, the trend is down in quality of food, and quality of caring for the customer's needs. Really, a BBQ joint out of pulled pork, seriously?

Solid barbecue. Tried the brisket platter with a couple of ribs on the side. Brisket had good flavor, ribs had a nice dusting of simple rub. Sides were good, turkey gumbo was excellent, mac & cheese was better than average, and the corn bread was good.

I have stopped by Moe's three or four times in the last three days. They are fast, friendly, and the food is amazing. Being from the south, I enjoy great bbq. Moe's delivered on that. I'd go back tomorrow if I wasn't flying back home. Eat here!!! Grab a beer!!!

Best BBQ I've had in Colorado. The price is great, and the service isn't bad, not great, but pretty good.

Great BBQ place with a "good old boy" feel to the restaurant. Shrimp sandwich was her good and the baked beans and potato salad sides were great.

Deep South style BBQ that gets the job done. Not the best, far from the worst. You leave full and happy. *I go with the turkey plate and always find its rubbed right. It looks there's not many cuts but it's a deceivingly hardy portion. *Mac 'n cheese is meh. I could make this myself, maybe even better. You got plenty of spices and sauces and other treats back there, Moe's, put'em to use here. *Beans are gooood. Sweet and syrupy with some jalapeno surprise and pleasures. *Cornbread, when done right, is very delicious and good for mop up duty. But it's a wildcard here. Sometimes it's flaky, sometimes it's greasy, sometimes it's singed. *Atmosphere is welcoming and comfy. Well-suited for families or parties or whatever you want it to be. *Love the homage to 'Bama and the greats of Southern rock -- Allmans, Widespread, etc. Keep an eye on your Duane picture, Moe's, because I'm fitting to snatch it. *Staff was fine. We were there at an odd hour so we didn't interact with them much and didn't have to. Roll Tide.

Best BBQ in the valley hands down

Stopped in with my wife and it seemed that we got the bottom of the barrel leftovers from the pudding, corn bread and pork. We were close to closing time, but it was terrible that they would serve what they served. Let it sit and left.

Love to eat Moe's, just awesome. Always good and always the same. The quiality is very good. You have to understand down south food and what the names of the food mean , don't be afraid to try something new if your not sure what it is. I think everything Moe's serves is about the best food in Eagle for a pretty good price.

Stopped into Moe's on the recommendation of a friend and boy what a great quick meal. I decided on the blackened Mahi sandwich with sweet potato yums and the slaw. Boy oh boy! The sandwich was super good very filling and the sides phenomenal, especially the slaw. I love me some slaw and this was a vinegary delight. I feel like Moe's is one of the those places you need to be craving to go for. It's reasonably priced and I would definitely go back.

Great BBQ, always happy with my order. They do some great sides. Fast easy service plenty of TV's and seating. Best BBQ in the vail valley . Shrimp po boy is excellent for a land lock state.. In the warmer months and even when it starts to cool down this place always seems to be over run with flies. Never the less we find out selfs back time and time again and are always satisfied.

the pulled pork was decent, and the potato salad was the highlight of the meal. the corn bread tasted terribly off, like bland and gritty, plus greasy. I could not eat it, which is a cornbread first for me, the mac and cheese was greasy instead of cheesy, so my kid didn't eat it. this is not a place I would revisit without hesitation, but it wasn't a nightmare. it was clean and had appropriate atmosphere.

I love Moes BBQ. We are always happy when we go. Food is consistently good. Great choices for sides and I've never had anything that I haven't liked. It's especially great in the summer to eat out on the patio with friends, a glass of sweet tea or a beer!

So I'm not the most discriminating BBQ fan but I really think this Moe's is pretty good. The food is damn tasty. The service is usually really good. The restaurant itself is kinda cool and they play really good music. Overall Moe's is a nice kinda hometown BBQ spot.

Really good BBQ. Wish the sandwiches were on bigger buns rather than hamburger buns. Can't complain about how anything tasted.

Ate here on Sunday night. Service was at the counter and was quick. I ordered ribs. They had so much salt they were not edible. My daughter ordered smoked turkey and it had same issue. My son ordered fried catfish which was good.

Very good southern style BBQ with all the staples. As a certified KCBS judge, I really appreciated the quality. Ribs very tender and flavorful. Pulled pork was a little too moist, almost wet but this ain't no contest, this is a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon for Pete's sake. Pleasantly surprised with the selection of sides. I had the smoked chicken gumbo and beans. I sampled the kids skillet corn and homemade mac & cheese, both were delicious. Cornbread was fried on one side. (I gotta try that when I get home) Nice selection of blues music in the background and eclectic pictures throughout... Blues, jam band, Alabama football and astronaut photos. Good customer service despite wearing my Old Miss shirt. One of the more pleasant surprises on our vacation. A bit off I-70 but well worth it.

We were already fans, but now that my 20 month year old loves the catfish, we are regulars! The ribs 2 Sundays ago were out of this world!

Went for lunch... had pork ribs w/sides of Mac and Cheese and Cheesy Broccoli. Cornbread was included. Ate outside. Very tasty and very tender ribs. I am definitely coming back when I'm in Eagle again!

thanks yelp for pointing us to good food in eagle. went here for lunch, few people inside. food came out quick, 19 bucks for 2 people. sides were great, sweet potato pie or something was great. mac and cheese is a little greasy. meat was super good. slight vinegar base pulled pork but not over powering. some really really really good bbq. made our day.

Not bad barbecue, but what's with the jalepeno cornbread? We had the pulled pork platters, and the portions were large. But I'd have liked french fries for a side, and they don't serve them. I prefer Famous Dave's barbecue myself, but if we were hungry and Moe's was nearby, we'd go back again.

The food is really good and the staff is great. I had the pulled pork sandwich with banana pudding and marinated slaw for the sides. I would definitely go back again for my BBQ fix.

Pulled pork delicious. Had baked beans and today's special side ( one of many choices) which was pork chili. That chili is jump up and kiss yo mama good. If new to moe's, try the "add Moe" option and get three wings or the ribs. They are also delicious.

Damn good bbq. We'll worth a stop in the little town of Eagle. Had ribs, mac and cheese, and green chile. I recommend that you good smother the ribs with there BBQ sauce. Damn good stuff.

It seems like restaurants in Colorado's resort communities are either very expensive and good, or an expensive but mere caricature of what one could find in the metro area. Moe's Original Bar B Que in Eagle is neither - as they have good prices, solid BBQ and good service speed. On a recent trip, from order to service for 5 people was a mere 10 minutes. With kid's meals being $1 with the purchase of an adult meal (which isn't advertised well, if at all), I was nearly dumbstruck by the final total (in a good way). The flavors here aren't exceptional, and neither is the portion size, but the value was tremendous to try a variety of sides and options (sides were $1 with purchase)/ I had a Catfish sandwich with a tasty tartar-style sauce on it. The baked beans were very good, and the cornbread also hit the sport. The mud pie was small but also a nice dessert. At $10 for the aforementioned meal (including some coleslaw which was tough and didn't seem overly fresh), Moe's represents a solid option in an overheated and overpriced region of Colorado.

So I've been back and the door was unlocked and the food was great. The owner has offered to buy me lunch via email so maybe I'll take him up on it. Classy move, thumbs up!

July 2012 Context: we were ordering for a group of 15 for pick up. I had contacted moes a week or so ahaead and was able to do all the communicating over email which was very convenient. I asked which would be most convenient given our location. And they explained that while vail was closer to breckenridge, eagle might be easier, which was very useful. We picked up the food on a Saturday at 1:30. Service: working with their phone contact was very easy and she was quite helpful. The people in eagle were friendly but we did have one problem. We called them at 1pm, stated our name and asked when the food would be ready. They said right now! So we rushed over only to find out that they had us confused with another party. This was a minor problem because we'd hurriedly left our previous place because they said it was ready now. They attempted to get it together quickly once we got it straightened out but it still took at least thirty minutes. They did offer us a drink while we waited. If the person answering the phone would have checked the name though, that wouldn't have happened. Food: quantities were enormous, far more than necessary for 15. Amazing quantities really, except in three areas, we got one small pintof bbq sauce which wasnt nearly enough for the dry pork; the amount of veggies or the veggie and dip was ludicrously small; they gave us one pint of rice for fifteen people. Maybe because they were rushed? We had their pulled pork, which comes dry but was very flavorful and juicy. The Mac and cheese was quite goopy and came out of the pan on one big chunk. I reheated it with milk in a pan and it was better, but not with a string cheese flavor. Coleslaw is a vinegar base and it was fresh and flavorful and stood up to three days of use. Red beans and rice came with such a small amount of rice it would be better billed as red beans and sausage. This was kidney beans with peppers and lots of sausage and what seemed to be chunks of bologna but must have been something else but I'm not sure what. It was soupy but just not very flavorful. We also ordered spinach dip with raw veggies. The dip was very good and there was plenty of it. But the veggies were literally one carrot sliced into one inch slices which were very difficult to dip, a handful of broccoli, some celery and I think some peppers. We had to stop at the store to supplement this. They also provided buns, about fifteen tiny chunks of cornbread, paper plates and plastic ware. I would order again but I would not order the Mac and cheese, I'd make my own rice or confirm the quantity ahead of time, and I'd have some extra seasoning to spice up the red beans or even some Tabasco, which maybe you could do if you ate in the place We didn't eat on but we did spend a half hour their. The atmosphere is loud, busy and BBQ like with some bar tables and some long tables. It was pretty busy. They also have a nice outside seating area although it is located on the edge of town on a kind of busy street.

Best BBQ in Colorado! Spicy sauce, perfectly smoked, tender meat, and always pudding. We stop here every time we drive over the hills. Skip the Vail Village location and stop here off the beaten path. Extra fun with free concerts on the lawn in the summer. Awesome that when you dine in, your kiddo gets a free meal too.

Real BBQ in the mountain town of Eagle? Yes. This little roadside BBQ joint and bar was just the thing after a hot day of archery. Stopped in with the family and had their pulled pork platter. Smoky and tender with just the right amount of slightly peppery sauce. Sides were small, but the whole thing came together as a perfect lunch portion. Their pork green chili side was AMAZING -- smoky with a nice kick from fresh chiles. Finished off with sweet tea. For those not into land animals, they also have fish and shrimp on the menu. My daughter had the fried catfish and gave me a taste. It was lightly battered and had some great seasoning. Perfectly cooked so the fish was tender. Service was fast and friendly -- a "grab your food from the counter when your name is called" affair with some private booths as well as a big table for families or community style dining. There is also a bar area with high top tables and a good bit of outdoor seating with 4-top tables and umbrellas.

Freakin' good, amazingly FAST bbq. We stopped in before hitting up a local brewery to grab a bite, and we barely made it to the end of the counter after paying and our food was already up! The pulled pork was perfect and the baked beans are good. The cornbread was just okay (add honey) and my buddy said his banana Nilla wafer pudding was tasty. We will be back when the bbq mood strikes again! Ps - they only have brisket on certain days apparently and it sells out fast.

Excellent BBQ and sides. They avoid brisket except for Tuesdays all together. They are chickens.....since this is the hardest bbq item to get right. The chicken was moist and good but lacked almost any smoked flavor. The pulled pork was pretossed with a little sauce to make it sure it wasnt dry. Mac and cheese was your standard fare, really enjoyed the beans and black eyed peas. Only offered one bbq sauce but included the white sauce with a few of the items. Really liked their wings but they lacked smoke but appeared to grilled a short time before serving. The cashier was not friendly or engaging and didnt offer help when ordering
