Great bento, sushi fast, good teriyaki, wraps and more. Nice location, clean and quick. Good value. Firecracker roll was pretty good. Fresh and spicy made to order in 5 min.

Nice little fast Japanese spot off 16th street mall between Cleveland and Court (next to the Quiznos). The owner took my order and was friendly and informative about their food. They had your normal rice and noodle bowls. However, their brown rice blend was a nice mix of quinoa, seeds and brown rice. It had a nice flavor and texture, something a little different. I did the chicken bowl and got a good amount of chicken and a bit of veggies. I would have liked a bit more veggies, but overall the bowl was a OK size. The best part was if you are a city employee and show your badge you get 15% off through the end of the year (2013). Since this is a short walk from the Webb building this is a great option for a healthy lunch. I'll be back!

I've been here on several occasions, and each of those times I've been unimpressed with the food. This place isn't inedible, but every time I begin to nom down in hopes that maybe I just remember my last experience incorrectly, I'm massively let down. I work on the other side of 16th St Mall, so this place is super close. Because of the convenient distance, I wanted to like this place, I really did, but I officially give up. The regular bowls: the chicken is ALWAYS dry. Thank goodness they load me up with the teriyaki sauce, at least. The rice is okay, but the vegetables? There's maybe eight "steamed" vegetables. And none of them seem particularly fresh. The sushi is not worth it at all. Utter disappointment as far as flavor, and a bout of food poisoning. I proceeded to spend that night re-acquainting myself with the toilet much in the same way as I did when I was younger...except in this scenario I was hopelessly sober. And the reason why I finally decided to stop giving Wok & Roll a chance? I decided to try out their dumplings for lunch today. So I wander in, get that ordered, pay my $4.something and watch as my cashier rings me up, walking two feet to the little refrigerator(?) under the table, pull out a to-go box, and throw it in the microwave. About a minute or so later, I watch as she opens it, places two sauces inside, and hands me the box. I paid four dollars and change for six dry microwaved dumplings. I was too in shock to say anything, so I accepted the food, walked back to my office ate two of the dumplings, and threw the rest out. You guys conned me for the last few months, but I've had enough. No more Wok& Roll.

Wok and Roll is one of my go-to stops for a quick, healthy and filling lunch. They offer several rice and chicken bowls, and the chicken is served up hot, fresh and nicely grilled with your choice of sauce. Instead of regular brown rice, they offer a great three-grain blend of brown rice, quinoa and barley. Each bowl comes with a blend of carrots, broccoli and other veggies, and I've never waited more than five minutes for my order. The owner of the 16th street location, Steve, is very friendly, remembers faces and is usually working hard during the lunch rush to keep the show moving along at a steady pace.

This place is great for a fast lunch. I probably would have given them 5 stars... but sometimes the sushi rice is too warm - like they just finished cooking it. When I am eating sushi - I do not want luke warm rice! Most of the time the sushi is perfect for a quick serve joint. The employees are ALWAYS in great spirits - I really appreciate their upbeat and positive attitudes!

Delicious, healthy and fast!!!! Don't forget to try their healthy peanut butter rice cookies. Great staff & owner! Will be back again for sure.

This place is pretty awesome! It's great food for the price, has really healthy options, they're super fast, and they're friendly to top it all off. A girl working there noticed that I was having trouble deciding and asked if I'd ever been there. When I told her no, she immediately went back and grabbed different samples for me to try, without me even asking. I'm very satisfied with the amount and quality of food for this price!

Every thing about this place is cool. C'mon - there's a huge tiger in front just growling at you to come get your eat on! The artwork on the walls is totally fun and there is plenty of seating - both inside and out. This is a great option for a quick lunch or just a casual meal with friends. Steve is a very friendly guy who clearly works hard. He's running the register and clearing tables and checking on every guest with a smile. The other employees are just as efficient which is good for a busy location like this. They will get you in and get you out in no time! The food is very good too - I usually enjoy one of their bowls which is cheap and tastes good. I highly recommend the turbo rice because it's more healthy and there's a lot of flavor. Meats are prepared well and are very tasty. Add a couple of veggies (but not too many) and it's a full friggin' meal! I will for sure be coming back when I need something delicious - looking forward to trying the sushi. Otherwise, talk about an easy dining experience - this would be it!

I've been eating at Wok and Roll for over a decade. They have delicious, fast, healthy food. I've never disliked anything I've had here, but I do tend to stick with the tried-and-true teriyaki chicken or yakitori chicken. They have several gluten free items, including the yakitori chicken, sushi, and curry chicken. I no longer can order the teriyaki chicken because of the gluten, and that does make me sad. The owner Steve is always there. His staff is fast, efficient, and very friendly. Do yourself a favor and go here for lunch at least once a week.

I didn't try the sushi so I cannot speak to it. i wanted (and ordered) the chicken Yakitori. Very good. Hadn't had it for a long time, and not at this location before. Even tried the Turbo F3 brown rice mix (instead of noodle, which I love), and it was pretty darned good. I'll definitely eat here again. The staff was a bit overbearingly helpful, but it's okay. They just are really passionate about their product, and the service is fast.

This place is super awesome. They let us sample the meats first. The owner really treats his customers well, even visiting our table. Food was great, service was great. A refreshing experience compared to our Los Angeles area

This place opened a few months ago so I finally made it in. Instead of going for a bowl, I decided to try their wrap. Basically, it's a bowl in a wrap. I had the Tsunami and it was pretty tasty. It had chicken, rice, sauce, and scallion. The wrap was nice and warm so that's a +. I would've rated this place a 4 but problem was it was more rice than meat. The person I was with had a bowl and it was only 1/2 full. Be warned if you're hungry. So after further review, I will rate it a 3 base on 'portion control'.

I'm a fan of this place, but it's not the type of restaurant that's going to appeal to everybody. If you're looking for a quick and healthy no-frills lunch, you'll probably like Wok & Roll. However, most everyone else will probably think the food is bland and somewhat overpriced. Make sure you get their frequent diner card to get 10% off every time you eat there.

The chicken yakatori was amazing. They marinate the meat for three days and it shows. The meat is very flavorful and juicy, and I love how the sauce is on the table so you can get just the right amount. The owner was super friendly and my expectations were exceeded in every way. I also like how you get some veggies free with the bowls, unlike Tokyo Joe's (which I also enjoy, though the meat here is certainly better and its much closer to my office).

    - NO - NO - NO - This place a total ripoff. I was obviously duped into spending over $15 on lunch here the other day. I ordered 2 teriyaki bowls for me and my friend. Unfortunately what we received was like half a cup of rice, a tablespoon of dry chicken,

A good change from Subway next door, but the quality can be better; they microwave their bowls.

Teriyaki is in the name so I shouldn't have been surprised that everything was coated in the sickly sweet sauce. The gyoza were microwaved. Not just reheated but microwaved entirely which resulted in mushy blobs of grossness then they drenched the mush blobs with teriyaki sauce and it comes with a side cup of, you guessed it teriyaki sauce.I guess this could work if you have no teeth and need to boost your sugar intake. The next thing i tried was the combo rice bowl. Thin chewey over cooked beef? And chicken? over rice with reheated frozen vegetables again drenched with what...TERIYAKI ... mmmmm i guess someone must like this sugar sauce but enough to base a whole business concept on it? In case you need more teriyaki there are 2 squeeze bottles of the stuff on each table. This place must get a teriyaki tanker truck delivery. Judging from the lack of customers during downtown lunch rush this place justifiably won't be around for long...

It is fast service. I'm not sure if it's healthy food. You get some veggies (broccoli, baby carrots, water chestnuts), with meat and rice. Sometimes the rice seems dry. Sometimes you get a bone or a raw piece of chicken. Their rolls don't taste fresh either. It's hard to find a quick place to eat on campus that's fast and affordable, but this is definitely one place I try to avoid. I haven't been back since my last bout of food poisoning nor have my friends.

One of the healthier eateries at the Tivoli student union. Quick food and not too expensive. Plus they have samples to try if you ask.

Terrible. This place is a misleading trap for unsuspecting students... a salty siren singing her salty song, serenading you as consume and your fingers turn to little sausages. And your kidneys cry, "We're dyyyyying..." and release the bloat upon you as a punishment for such foolishness. Seriously, if you're that hard up for healthy food go get a 6" veggie sub from the Subway right next to this place. You'll save like $3 and probably 65% of your daily salt intake. I ordered their vegetarian bowl (tofu and vegetables) with brown rice. 1.) Rice was glue-y. To the point of indistinct single grains--it had become a globular mass resembling overcooked oatmeal. 2.) There may have been $0.90USD worth of vegetables in the bowl, including but not limited to: four old baby carrots, 3 broccoli florets, some bamboo shoots, and maybe a piece of red bell pepper. 3.) Tofu was severely lacking in quantity, like everything else ('cept sodium). Bottom line, this place should be called "Wok & Pure Profit Bowl". Maybe it's different with meat, but rice, tofu, and vegetables have massive profit margins and this place made a fortune off the end product I was served. The plus side is that they offer a few sauce dispensers (think cafeteria ketchup pumps ala Japanese style), but the sauce you select is already on the food (unless you order otherwise, I suppose) so you may not even need that extra sauce. Next time I'm running late and miss my bus, I'll either pack myself a lunch and pay $2 for parking, or I'll *EAT FRESH* (as Jared does--if you know what I'm sayin').

Reasonably priced lunch spot with very good food. It's quick service and the staff is very friendly and helpful with questions.

Wok and roll is a great place to get a quick roll. The sushi isn't anything to go crazy about, but the flavor is excellent considering the price point and quickness.

I am a health conscious college student and when I first went to Wok & Roll at the Auraria campus I didn't know what to expect. For those that don't know, Wok & Roll is located at the Tivoli building on the bottom floor along with the other fast food restaurants Taco Bell, McDonalds, and Subway. The staff is always courteus and helpful and will offer you samples off their menu if they see you staring at the menu too long. They will tell you what certain foods taste like, what sauces would go best with what you're having, and just answer any questions that you may have. My usual is the Mama Suki's which is a bowl of egg noodles with chicken, carrots, broccoli, and potatoes. Everything is always perfect and tastes fresh. If you want healthy Asian fast food there is nothing better than Wok & Roll. The food is great and delivered in a timely manner (wait about 2-3 minutes after ordering), the staff is friendly and extremely helpful, and you will not spend more than $10 on any meal (the Mama Suki with a regular drink is $7.) If you're a college student at Auraria this is the best you'll find on campus.
