Waffle Brothers should be on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! They serve down-home food that packs a lot of flavor! I've been here twice and I've never tried the waffles, because the sandwiches are soooo good!! Today, I had the Daphne on ciabatta which is turkey and avocado sandwich with a perfectly balanced sweet and spicy sauce. I also had a side of waffle cut fries that have ranch seasoning -- perfect for dipping in ranch dressing. I can't speak to the waffles myself, since I haven't tried them, but my Mom said they were the best waffles she's ever had.

The waffles are to die for. Melt in your mouth all-around yumminess! The waitstaff is friendly and do a great job. If you sit on the patio, expect longer wait times. It seems to take them a while to run back and forth between the house and yard. This restaurant is pub style, so they have a lot of options other than waffles, including beer and wine. The sandwiches are wonderful. I like to split one with a friend and follow up with a waffle for dessert. The burgers are pretty bad. They tasted like frozen pre-cooked patties plopped on grill (or in a microwave) to warm up and the bun was tough, instead of fresh and chewy. The fries were bland and seemed frozen as well. Overall, this is a great place for waffles and sandwiches, but they still need to do some work on the pub menu.

What a fun place!! I can't wait to go back!! My bf and I went to see live music in the yard/ patio area last night, and it was so nice! The staff was amazingly gracious- from the moment we stepped foot in the front door, to the moment we left (2 & a half hours later.) The food was terrific and we can't wait to go back for brunch/ waffles!!

I really enjoyed this place. The location is perfect and the environment is cute and cozy. The food is really yummy and the prices are fairly reasonable. They have bottomless mimosasand the staff is friendly. When I went the wait time was very low and our food came out fast and hot. I have no complaints about this place I really enjoyed it and will be back again :-)

These guys are new to the neighborhood and are in an old house that has a cute ambiance but food is average. I ordered take out but given what I ordered I'm going to operate under the assumption that all food here is pretty average and not stand out. Ordered a breakfast sandwich to go. The waffles weren't special and I noticed that the syrup they're using is the cheap extra sugary stuff. This surprised me since these guys are trying to be niche and offer waffles. If you're trying to be a go to for waffles then you need to have the right accompaniments to go with them, like authentic maple syrup, not the stuff I get at IHOP. There was nothing special about the rest of the sandwich either, honestly, I'm a sucker for the Mcdonalds sausage egg mcmuffin and that's what the inside of this waffle sandwich looked and tasted like. Only, as opposed to McD's I shelled out $7 for this thing. Not sure I'll be back again unless I run out of food in the fridge and need something quick and easy.

By far the best waffles on Denver! And I might even go as far to say they have the fried chicken/ chicken tenders in Denver!! Amazing eats! Amazing service! Cool atmosphere! It's a must!

I went here for breakfast a while ago. It was really busy when we got there. The seating was confusing and so was the set up, but it was still very nice. We were seated outside. Service was slow, but they were pretty busy. Servers were nice and kept the coffee full. Got the food, and it was delicious. I loved my waffle and my Fiance loved his. Waited a while for the bill. The only reason I'm docking a star is just because, even though they were busy, it was an extraordinarily long wait for food, bills, and initial drinks. I still recommend it to anyone though, the food is pretty good!

Quicky review: great service, hidden gem, looks can be deceiving, best BELGUIM waffles in town! Came across this Quaint Lil house on the corner from a Groupon voucher for a bag of waffles; it was so good I wanted to come back to actually do the down for brunch. I'm so glad I did because it was fantastic! Best chicken and waffles in town by far because of their scratch made toppings and fresh chicken tenders. The waffles was so fresh the sugar "balls" for lack of a better term was a little melted which gives it such a creamy and crunchy texture. Tip ask for server Ian he was so friendly, always has a smile, and very attentive food refills was always on point never had to wait for long. Will be back!

The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the food was amazing. If it wasn't for the food, I would give this place zero stars if I could. Like I said the food is amazing, but the service is horrible. We sat at a table for over 15 minutes with no menus, no menus, nothing while servers stood around and chatted with each other. I finally had to approach someone to get us a server. Even then there was no apologies for the wait. Our server was ok at best. She was friendly, but again the service was slow. It's sad the service and atmosphere is so bad because the food great. Dear Mr. Owner, I would take a look at your servers. You can do much better!

I was amazed that they were able to accommodate our group of 17 (!) on a Saturday morning at peak brunch time. They sat us upstairs at one table for twelve and one for five. There was a little confusion when the orders came out, but overall the service was prompt and attentive. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, but my only complaint is that their waffles are a liiiittle on the small side. Overall, this is a nice option if you're looking for a casual and yummy breakfast.

Much better the 2nd time, but do be certain to stress to them if you are celiac so they can prepare your food accordingly.

Waffle Bros. at 17th and Lafayette in Denver is hands-down THE place to go for waffles in town. I've been there with kids and with brunch dates, and it always hits the mark. Creative dishes, unique setting, and usually very friendly and attentive staff. If you want predictable and unoriginal, go to IHOP. If you want a real taste of Denver, Waffle Bros. needs to be in your list of top 5 places.

We wanted to find a new place to go for breakfast and stopped by Waffle Brothers. It was a bit confusing because the outside is decorated with Budweiser flags. It doesn't appear to be a breakfast shop. We sat outside and it wasn't all the busy only 6 other tables were full at 9:30 on Saturday morning. The server came over within a few minutes and we ordered a couple waters and a coffee. The coffee tasted a bit sour and I just doctored it up to make it taste better. The food we ordered took 25 minutes and I had to ask for refill of coffee. The second cup was much better. We ordered a chicken sandwich and the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken sandwich was about 3 out of 5 stars. The chicken and waffles were 0/5 stars. The sandwich was hot and juicy but bland. It also just comes by itself with no sides. The chicken and waffles were $15 and the two pieces of chicken were both dark meat and literally had 1 1/2 inch of breading on them. There was hardly any meat and it was overly cooked. The breading was nearly burnt and the chicken was so oily I couldn't even eat it all. The waffle was COLD and soggy. I put butter on it immediately as it was sat in front of me and the butter didn't even melt in the least. The waffle also look like it was cut in half and was scrunched up on one end. The waffle fries that came with it were the best part. The server came back only once during the meal and the second time she brought the bill but left the dirty dishes on the table. Then a gust a wind came through and blew the trash onto me and all over the ground. I was unamused as now a trip home was necessary as my shirt was dirty because we're sitting there with our dirty dishes far after we're done eating. Our server was nice enough, but for $30 bucks we should have just went to Le Peep down the street and hand breakfast for $20 and been happier with the food. We won't be racing back any time soon.

So many waffles! This place is great! It's hard to pick just one thing to order. The sandwiches are rather exciting, but the best things they serve are the simple waffles; smothered in whipped cream and nuts and syrup! The small house also lends a great atmosphere where you just want to hang out. Worth checking out for sure if you are a waffle fan (you should be...).

  • Ty P.

Pros: got the old smokey sandwich on waffles and it was delicious. The ingredients are fresh. Cons: long long wait. We waited 40 minutes for a takeout order. We sat by the front door and saw 2 people that waited in line for a few minutes but then left after asking the first table how long they waited for their food (35mins they said).

  • Ronit A.

Not a fan of this location. The food is amazing, I will give them that but they need to pull their act together. The place it's self looks awful. Marker all over the walls and furniture, horrible art on the walls. Its not a nice place to bring someone for brunch. It look an hour to get a table then about one more hour or more to get the food. Yes it did taste good. But there are so many other great brunch options out there in Denver with better service and atmosphere. The corona option is better. Try that instead.

  • Kim P.

Love the waffles!! We used to go to the location on 3rd and corona, but it's now closed, so we tried this one. Food is great! I'm a waffle purist, so no crazy toppings for me. I don't know why more people don't insist on real maple- there are hugs of fake syrup everywhere and people seem content in squirting it on their waffles. I always pay extra for the real stuff, but I think it's weird the real stuff isn't a given. Anyway, I like the laid back atmosphere, but it may be a little too laid back. If you don't like dogs around while you're eating, this may be a problem. I love dogs, but it can feel like you are dining in a dog park. Also, very kid friendly, which is great, but I may have contracted croup from a hacking 2 year-old from our last brunch there. Lastly, it's charming that they sometimes have a musician there, but no need for booming speakers and a microphone! It's a small yard, not a festival! All in all, I love waffles, and this place makes amazing waffles!

Very delicious as usual. This is my first time at the new location. My waffle marshmallows cream cheese and strawberries was amazing. My friend had the chicken and waffles and the chicken wings were also good. Great service and nice outdoor patio. Will be back.

I try not to be the Negative Nancy who goes on Yelp just to give bad reviews, and I generally don't go out of my way to give a bad review when I have a less than stellar experience at a restaurant, but my experience at Waffle Brothers this morning was unpleasant enough to warrant a two star review. I've been to the Corona location once, and I enjoyed the food, got great service, and I liked their system of ordering at the counter. Since Waffle Brothers is a franchise, I was expecting this location to be the same, or at least similar. Not even remotely. This location is what appears to be a converted house. All of the walls are covered in marker drawings that make it look like a group of unruly toddlers were let loose with Sharpies and ladders to wreak havoc. It's not charming, it just makes the place look unprofessional. There is even marker scribble on some of the tables. My sister purchased a Groupon, and we had out of town guests, so we decided to check out the new location for brunch. We had a party of 7, and it was a busy Sunday around 12:15pm, so we went in expecting a bit of a wait. We ended up getting a table after about 40 minutes or so of waiting. About what you'd expect at any busy breakfast place that doesn't take reservations. As far as service goes, I know the waitress was trying. It seemed that the wait staff was a bit short handed and overwhelmed. We were all ready to order, and I asked if they had nutritional information for their menu. It's an unusual request, I know, and it took the waitress at least 10 minutes to get back to us (the answer is no, by the way). Finally, everyone ordered. Another 10-15 minutes later, the waitress came back and informed us that they were out of whole wheat waffles. My initial reaction was, "WTF, it's been 15 minutes and they haven't even started preparing our order?!" So half of us had to substitute a different type of waffle. Over two hours after we had arrived, we got our food. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. The waitress comped a few items and gave us a discount because of the extremely long wait. She's the reason I gave two stars instead of one. That said, I will find another breakfast spot for future outings. Brunch should not be a three hour ordeal. Waffle Brothers: Never again.

Super cute atmosphere with it being in an old house in Uptown but the waffle didn't meet my expectations. I guess I prefer a crispy on the outside, soft on the inside waffle and the waffle I received was soft thru and thru. 3 stars for a good experience and creative menu- Interesting topping options for sure! My husband had the Baby Gatlin (sp?) and I had the JP Special. Both were yummy and filling- guess I had higher hopes for the waffle though. Probably will come back again to try another item.

If it wasn't for the service this place would get 5 stars. The food is delicious, especially the chicken and waffles platter, to die for! Every time I go I wait at least 30 minutes for my meal and the staff is never especially friendly or concerned about you.

First time to this location and loved it. Here during gabf weekend and when we showed up they had just got hit with a big rush. Sat at the bar and our waitress was very attentive. It was her birthday and she showed great customer service. We will definitely be back!

Love it here. They have sweet and savory to the extreme and everything is of superb quality. They have a dog friendly patio, bottomless mimosas, and a very pleasant wait staff. I would recommend waffle brothers to anyone that loves classic american treats, suped up to the extreme. If you can, request Atradees as your server. He will brighten your whole day.

  • Lorene H.

My girlfriend and I love this place! We live right around the corner and come often with our big dog, who always gets hooked up with a handful of bacon and sometimes a sausage patty. 5 stars on being one of the most dog-friendly restaurants around. The atmosphere is great. It's like you are in someone's front yard, with options to sit at tables, benches, or a picnic table. Several of the seating options outside are on grass, which gives it a nice homey feel. We've never sat inside. The food is fantastic for breakfast. I always get the Denver Sandwich with extra cajun sauce (that shit is bomb!). Most of the food is reasonably priced, with a few random exceptions like the chicken "tenders" that are teeny tiny. The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is simple due to inconsistency with the service. Our servers are always super nice, but it often takes way too long to get your order taken, as well as to get your food. That said though, we expect that when we come here and don't mind it at all. This isn't a place where you want to come grab a quick bite, it's a place where you want to come hang and enjoy your breakfast...make an experience out of it! Order a bottom-less mimosa for $12 and get your moneys worth!

We're going to 2nd that to Daniel B. Comment...... My 2 out 3 experiences were absolutely horrible. The first time was okay, and we're impressed with just the food. In which we wanted to go back again since it was so close to our house. Experience #2: my girlfriend and I went with her two kids and they told us that we would be seated in 15 minutes, after 30 minutes later she came back again and said we will seat you in just a few more minutes. 15 minutes later came by and finally got sat. We didnt order food until 30 minutes later. After an additional 45 minutes she came back and said your food is up in the window and should be out shortly,15 minutes later she came back and said I'm so sorry your food is really up in the window it will be out any minute. My girlfriend had to be somewhere in 30 minutes, so we told them that we needed to make this to go. 15 minutes later she came back again and said okay we're backing up your food now, literally again 15 minutes later she said that the food is almost ready. We finally got our food, yes another 15 minutes later and paid with cash because we didn't want to wait any longer for them to run the card cuz it would have taken 15 minutes longer, needless to say my girlfriend was late and we had two cranky toddlers that were starving. Experience #3: my girlfriend, friend, and I went in and got sat immediately which is a lot different than last time and the hostess brought us coffee and water but did not bring my girlfriends iced coffee. About 30 minutes later we still didn't have the ice coffee or anybody to take our order so I proceeded to go to the bar and ask for the ice coffee and a waitress so we order our food. We literally saw three different sets of people come and go before we got our breakfast. So finally I went up to the bar again, asked for our food, and it came out right away. Thanks to Darius (not our server). However, our entire order was messed up. Wrong cheeses, no avocado, or peppers. And it didn't even taste that good. The server completely ignored us the whole time. We saw and spoke to her only one time and that was to place the order. I even needed more cream and sugar and a refill, never came over once. When we finally got the check, again thanks to Darius, I made sure to give the tip directly to him, in FRONT of our server. Both experiences were so bad. I will recommend that nobody go there. I can make better waffles myself, and FASTER!

a filthy coffee mug, a gross falling apart sandwich, and a blah waffle. dude, all you guys make is waffles you would think you could get an A+ in the waffle department. Waffleganger food truck has you beat and they make their waffles in an automobile. My wife yelled at me all day for forcing her to try this place. Not cool.

  • Amber Alohalani S.

Worst. Service. Ever. We tried to go here for brunch and the hostess acted like she was annoyed to actually have to do her job and seat us. Then we sat there for 20 minutes with no one even bringing us water. The server at the table next to us collected the bill, cleaned off the table and then proceeded to stand around like he had absolutely nothing to do even though we were still sitting there with our menus put away and nothing in front of us! That's when we decided to leave. We gave the menus back to the dude standing around and gave him a piece of our minds and then left. We didn't even get to try the food! I will NEVER go back here!!!!

Pretty expensive, especially considering all I got was 2 waffles and coffee for $11. And my coffee cup had some residue left in it. However food was pretty good and the atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome. Very homey and I enjoy helping out a small business.

My husband and I used to come to the other Waffle Brothers location every time we visited Denver, so this time we visited the location on 17th now that the other is closed. We are happy to report that it is even better than our usual spot! It's located on a cute house where you can sit in the kitchen, just like you would at home. Our server was awesome, and as usual, the waffles are to die for (and great for gluten-free eaters). I would have taken a picture, but I couldn't wait to eat the waffle...

  • Nika G.

Wow I was so incredibly disappointed with my experience at Waffle Brothers Pub Style, especially after a multitude of amazing experiences at the original location on Corona Street (which is now closed, but going to be reopening in a different location). The idea of having a restaurant in a house is super cute, and the abundance of outdoor seating is great, however, this new restaurant concept is not working in their favor. To begin, the wait for any sort of acknowledgement from the waitstaff took FOREVER! We literally waited for 20-30 minutes between each time the waiter came to see us. The coffee I ordered tasted sour and old, and they do not have fresh creme available. They also do not make bagels anymore, so their breakfast sandwiches are on regular bread and are not anything memorable. Their traditional waffles no longer have the pieces of sugar, and now it just tastes like any waffle I can get anywhere else in Denver. The cherry on top of an awful experience was that our orders were clearly forgotten or lost. After 45 minutes of waiting for food, we finally got orders that were incorrect. Initially I received a meal I did not order, and the second meal they brought out was incorrect again. I absolutely will NOT be coming back to Waffle Brothers, and will not be recommending it to my friends.

I love the chicken and waffles. This is my 3rd time at this location. The 2nd time, the visit was on a weekend and the place was busy. The service was slow. The chicken was good. The server was odd. He offered us a waffle in a to go box that another customer had left behind (they hadn't eaten on it). On the 3rd visit, the chicken came out burnt. Moist on the inside, but burnt on the outside. The server didn't even seem to notice. I wouldn't have allowed the burnt chicken to leave the kitchen. I didn't send the chicken back because it took over 20 minutes to get the first time. The server was nice but slow and inattentive. I had wondered why it was so slow at 1 on a weekend. Maybe people have realized the Mediocre service and hit/miss food quality are issues with this location. I might try again. I hope management takes a more hands on approach at this location. Seems the servers and cooks need some training.

Was not disappointed. A good surprise to find on Yelp. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. Will go back again. Really enjoyed my food and so did my friends and husband.

Waffles are decent. Don't bother with anything else especially the chicken. It all tasted frozen and not prepared well. It's a much better place when it's dead. Once it gets busy the service and food quality all take a major plunge.

  • Ken B.

This is my first negative review. It wasn't entirely a bad experience. Our server was very professional and attentive but the food was forgettable and the ticket time was very long. I also found the prices considerably out of line with my expectations in terms of portion size. $20 for a couple waffles and coffees? Won't be back.

  • Nick W.

I love waffles and these are the best I have ever had. They are baked with a special Belgian batter that makes them so delicious they don't even need syrup. My girlfriend and I go here every Sunday. Service is great , awesome location and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend getting the original waffle breakfast plate . This location is in an cool old house that has been renovated into a restaurant, they have an awesome patio area on the front lawn that is perfect for Sunday breakfast.

They have unbelievable service, wonderful food, and the kindest manager. I highly recommend coming here every day for the rest of your life. I've become a regular here solely for their awesome service and all day bottomless mimosas.

Visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. There were only two tables outside - both in the sun - so we decided to sit inside. It is a funky little place in a pretty cool way, but very cramped seating. Found two seats at a table by the bar. The table was wobbly; very wobbly. We sat there for 7 or 8 minutes when a waitress finally approached and, rather than simply greet us, she immediately asked if the hostess had sat us at that table and we had to tell her that there was no hostess. No hostess stand, no "please wait to be seated" sign, nothing. We saw not a single employee during the minute we discussed sitting outside or the time it took to wander inside and sit down. The waitress explained that on the weekends it is not "seat yourself" and sometimes people are waiting for a table - there were no people waiting, there were 2 tables outside available. She then went to find the hostess. She came back a couple minutes later with menus; apparently it was OK for us to remain sitting. That started things off badly. Her tone was in a lecturing manner and I was more than a little put off by it. She asked for our drink orders and left. After discussing the situation and starting to talk about going elsewhere, the waitress reappeared with our drinks, set them down and immediately told us that there was no ice (this seems to be a recurring theme). That was the final straw. We left and ate at another restaurant. This place may survive on the customers that think this is a cool place to hang out, and that is fine, but horrible service and constantly running out of ice is not going to turn this restaurant into anything but one that is just hanging on. And, based on the numerous reviews with recurring themes of bad service, overpriced mediocre food and the ice issue indicates to me that they don't care. Fortunately neither do I.

Came here on a sunny Sunday afternoon to sit on the patio, drink a beer, and eat some waffles! It was perfect! I got mini waffles with several different kinds of fruit, nutella, and whipped cream, and my friend had chicken tenders and waffles. Yum! Our food came out quickly and everything was delish. We also ordered beers and our server brought us a free round due to a mistake by the bartender! Can't beat that! We were really pleased and will be back!

Food is good, service leaves something to be desired. Not a spot to come to if you're in a hurry. Wish I could review the coffee, but it never arrived. 2 stars because they actually removed it from the check.

After being seated we waited 15min to be waited on 45min after we ordered we got out food. The waffle was cold and chewy and my wife's breakfast sandwich was missing cheese. We would have told our server but she literately dropped the food off never asking us if we needed anything else and did not return until we where done with our food. Poor poor service. IHOP would have been better!

  • Erin T.

Loved the house. We waited 10 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. The service is the primary reason why we won't return. The chicken and waffles were good but not great. The problem is I have found phenomenal waffles in Portland @ the Waffle Window and I am trying to find something as good here in Denver.

We stopped by on a nice afternoon just by chance. So glad we did! The patio is dog-friendly which is ideal. The location gives you a lot to see. I had the original waffle with fresh fruit on top-- our server wrapped it up for me when I couldn't finish it and it reheated great! My husband had a turkey/avo sandwich with waffle fries & pickles. They don't skimp on the avocado :) Our servers were very friendly and accommodating - one brought a bite of bacon for our dog to try - gotta love when they treat our four-legged-family members so swell! One of the owners came over and took the time to talk with us. I bet it will be hopping as the weather gets warmer- nice beer specials and great music! We will definitely be back with friends.

Ok. Chicken and Waffles for $14. One waffle (a waffle is a waffle) and 2 pieces of dark meat chicken that was moist inside but breading was burnt. How about a breast and leg instead of a thigh and leg for $14. You can get a half chicken and all the sides for the same price at White Fence Farm. Will probably give the place one more try because my wife likes it.

This place will not stay open long. This place was awful from the fumbling hostess all the way to the cook. This is a good concept and the house the restaurant is located within is cool and niche. Our breakfasts which contained waffles was nothing I'd want to repeat.

We checked this place out about 2 weeks ago for dinner. Everyone in my party of 5 enjoyed it. I would recommend the Chicken and Waffles - make sure to get the Original Waffle. The sweetness of the waffle with the crispy delicious chicken was a wonderful combination. Others complained about the location, which did not bother me. It is located in an old house, we sat on the second floor. Only complaint is the lighting was not working in the particular room we were in - luckily we still had some day light before we finished eating. I would go here again.

Attempted to go here as it looks good but left because of the awful service. We waited 5 minutes outside before anyone even acknowledged us. There were 8 tables available outside and multiple employees but none were engaged. When we finally got acknowledged we were told it would be a 10 minute wait for a table. We left and will not return. What awful service! Hot Cakes it is.

We were seated quickly, served in a reasonable amount of time, got a ton of food for a good price: 3 pieces of chicken, a waffle, side of fries and side of beets for $13.99. The food was tasty, the place is cute. I had to bring home half my meal. I'm not sure what happened with the bad reviewers, but, my experience was great.

  • Brian J.

After three visits for breakfast, I'm hooked. The gluten free waffles are full of flavor, good texture, not dry or gritty. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Each time we sat at the bar and the service was friendly and efficient. I really liked the vibe of the place. When seated at the bar you're facing the kitchen, up close and personal. It's clean, well organized and the cook staff seem happy and caring, which shows in the food they're plating. The coffee is meh, will have to try something from the espresso bar in the future. Good vibe, good service, good food - we'll be back again.

Came at 1:00 on a Saturday. Not too crowded. Had to find our own seat at a table that hadn't been bussed. There were people next to us on the patio with a dog which was ok with us but not everyone is good with that. Waited 10 minutes for server even though not crowded. When she finally came she stated "well I don't know if I will be serving you or not" Ok then. I offered to move but she said no and took our drink orders of two diet cokes. A full 10 minutes later she came out with one can of warm diet coke, two glasses of warm water and an announcement that they were out of ice. I asked where the second diet coke was and she said " oh yeah I can go get that if you want". She proceeded to bring out another can of warm coke. Not in a glass. Just an open warm can. We asked if there were any cold drinks available and she said "no cause there is no ice." We were done. Left and went to Le Peep.

Have eaten here since week they opened. The transition has been interesting. The original cheese burger was disappointing but changed the meat and much better. Personally not a waffle fan but the Sandwiches and all the sides like potato salad, cole slaw, etcgreat. Today had the side salad with happy hour sandwich. Very fresh. The outside seating area is like back yard and for some reason even with traffic on 17th at least 2 or 3 times week relax there. Street noise not bad maybe grass and trees set my mind. The new Happy Hour menu 2PM till 6PM is diverse and offers a $5 cheese burger that is good. Have not had a bad sandwich here, I prefer on bread to toasted. Beer wine selection is ok, not real upscale just good pleasurable drinking. Often one or both brothers on site. History of building and tunnel to adjoining building one of first movie theatres in Denver is interesting.. This is definitely enjoyable cut above fast food has family feel as most staff have been there for long tome or maybe I just visit too often.

Had the small chicken and Waffles plate. The chicken tenders were so good along with mild sauce. The waffles were amazing had marshmallow cream cheese, caramel, and nutella dipping sauce so amazing. Music was prefect they were playing 90s hip hop. Only complaint was they were out of ice. When they had ice they didn't ask to refill waters or drinks even though we were out. Had to ask. Overall food hit the spot and atmosphere was pretty good.

Amazing! I've been coming to this place since the opening and I can honestly say it's one of the best. The waffles are one of a kind and delicious! Chelsea is a fantastic server and I highly recommend sitting in the bar area. The staff dances and sings all day, and typically the owner is there also!

Just wanted to add the chicken and waffles is more than enough! I went solo and ate maybe half I was gonna take the rest with me but I already felt guilty about the calories. Maybe next time I'll share so I don't waste the money lol

Took my 5 year old. Staff was extremely helpful. Food was fresh and waffle was perfect. The Restaurant itself is very cool. Old house converted into a quaint, inviting place to have a good meal. Will be back! Different can be perfect.

Thick and delicious waffles. Best breakfast I have had in memory. Had the chicken and waffles. The breading is amazing. And we had the natural born killer waffle sandwich with Nutella, whip cream and strawberries. To die for.

Got a groupon/living social deal (don't remember which one) for Waffle Bros and it was awesome! Fun place for a date, except we had a ton of food to eat between the two of us! They have something for everyone, like chicken and waffles, waffles with fruit, chocolate, etc.

Food was good, service was slow. Would go again, but only if we feel like lounging around in the nice courtyard for a while. It took awhile to get out order taken. Someone who was not our server brought us water and spilled mine in my lap, no harm done, but don't bring anything to help me dry off. Once we ordered, food came quickly. Longest wait was getting out checks settled. Saw a few tables get up and leave because they were never served.

RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! One of the worst restaraunt experiences I've ever had and I go out a lot. I went here for lunch with a group of coworkers today (about 11 people total) and let me say I'm not sure that a single one of us would go back. After we sat ourselves we asked the same woman twice for some service and were told that our server had not even come in for his shift yet and that we had to wait! Who does that?! It took about 30 min. for someone to finally come take our order. About 20 min. after our order we finally recieved our drinks and boy were they awful, the ice was all melted and you could see the layer of water on top. If it couldn't get any worse the server spilled a coke on me. We must have waited another 15-20 min before food started to come and it literally came entree' by entree'. Half of our table had finished before the last person even got her food. It took over an hour and a half for us to have lunch here and the place was practically empty. The only other person on the top floor left after not receiving his food for probably being there close to an hour (he was by himself!). I live a block away from this establishment and will never eat here again. It was bad enough that I called the restaurant to lodge a complaint. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and would be embarrassed if I was the owner...

Great waffle sandwich! Ordered the Jersey (based on a recommendation from the server) - delish! Huge sandwich, couldn't eat the whole thing. I will definitely go back. Only con - slow service for the lunchtime hour.

Walked by Waffle Brothers when looking for a restaurant with outside seating on a nice night-and I am so glad we stopped! The vibe is great it's a converted house that's super quaint and comfortable. We ordered the Mr. Jones Sandwich and waffle fries. AMAZING! I'm not a huge fan of breakfast waffles so I was a little hesitant to eat here but the sandwich we ordered was amazing. Rob one of the owners was our server and he went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. I can't wait to go back to try their other sandwich's!

Giving two stars for the food, but the service was terrible. We waited for 15 minutes after we were seated without menus or water while all of the servers stood at the back counter and stared at us. Nobody really seemed to care about serving us, and the place wasn't even all that busy considering it was Sunday brunch. Also, the entire atmosphere of the place was really dead.

Waffle Brothers waffles are possibly the best waffles I've ever had. Pub style adds fried chicken and other deliciousness as well as good beer. The place looks great and is a lot of fun to go hang out. And have I mentioned the food is delicious! Danielle is absolutely amazing and did a great job taking care of us as well as being very informative and entertaining. I love this place and plan on coming back regularly.

My friend and I were looking for food and drinks on the cheap and bought the Groupon W.B. is currently offering. We walked in, sat at the bar, and ordered a savory breakfast sandwich, a fruit waffle, and beers. The food was really excellent (I'm ruined for any other breakfast sandwich now) but that's not why I went to Yelp to write a review. I'm here to applaud the awesome service we got there. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and cut up with us while we ate. Next thing we knew, we had been there well past closing. We took a bag of waffles home with us and they heated up perfectly crisp and sweet. Thanks for a great experience!

My husband and I went with our daughter for lunch and the service was fast and friendly. The food was good and the gluten free waffle was delicious! They have lots of gluten free options. Their building and location are very cool and the outdoor seating is comfortable and relaxed. We will be returning for sure.

We live around the corner and were anxiously awaiting the opening of waffle brothers. We went this morning to try it out and were majorly disappointed. The seating is "seat yourself" so people are wandering around trying to add seats to their tables. Most of the tables aren't bussed until you sit down so odds are you have to wait for the servers come clear plates for you to have a cleared table. We noticed a lot of patrons sort if staring around, as if they were waiting for either attention or food, and we soon discovered why. By the time the server finally came over and noticed us we ordered coffees and waters, which came relatively quickly, but we had to wait 10 minutes for our server to come back so we could ask for cream and sugar. Another 5 minutes later we got a massive carafe of creamer and later our server came over to take our order but suddenly realized she didn't have a pen. Another 5 minutes later she came back with a pen and we ordered an original and traditional waffle with fruit toppings, which seemed pretty basic. We checked the clock and 45 minutes later (no exaggeration) our food arrived. I felt even worse for the table next to us who ordered at the same time and got their food 10 minutes after us. I understand they're in the opening stages of the restaurant but they have 2 other restaurants with the same menu so I'm not sure why it should take nearly an hour for 2 standard waffles. There was no apology for wait time or acknowledgement of the lengthy wait and the food was only remotely warm and my original waffle was under-cooked. We just wanted to get out of there at a certain point so we paid our bill and went for a walk up 17th and walked by 30 minutes later on our way home to see our table STILL hadn't been bussed. No pride of ownership or quality of food or service at this place. If I had one word to describe it, I would use the word "cluster" because everything just seems really difficult, including cooking a simple waffle. It's a shame we live so close and won't be able to patronize this restaurant.

I love this place on 17th Street. There's a great selection of both sweet and savory breakfast dishes, and some sandwiches for lunch that look great but that I haven't tried because I'm usually here for breakfast/brunch. There's a nice outdoor patio with shade and eclectic seating. You order inside and then grab a table outside. On the weekends there can be a bit of a rush right around opening time, so I'd either get there right when they open or like an hour later. Pets: We have brought our kitten here for breakfast on the patio twice. She's shy and we're trying to make her less so. She mostly sits in her bag and looks around. We've seen several dogs/puppies here and it's a good environment for pets. Both times we brought our kitten the staff and other patrons were lovely. One time the waiter brought her a piece of bacon (that she didn't eat) and other patrons came over to say hi. Really nice experience both times.

I have been here for breakfast/brunch several times now and I just adore this place. Confession, I have only tried one thing on the menu -- the waffle with caramel, strawberries, and whipped cream. I think it's called the Alley Cat. This is because I love it so much that ordering anything else is unimaginable! I usually get it with bacon. But my husband has ordered different things every time he has been here and they all look really yummy. And the waffle has an awesome texture, crunchy but not dry. There is a great outdoor patio with a friendly feel. People bring their dogs and sometimes they have live music. When we were there on a recent Sunday there was a flamenco guitarist. If I had one criticism, it's that the process is a little slow. You stand in a line to order, and then you wait a long time for the food to come out. For a restaurant that doesn't actually have full table service, it seems to take a long time. But the service is so friendly, and considering that everything else is so good, I didn't take off a star. This place definitely deserves a visit. I know I'll be back soon.

This was the most fun I've had at breakfast, plus the best waffle! The outdoor seating is perfect, including the squirrel friend we made (and named Charlie if you meet him). We were offered a free beer sample after one of the guys working heard us talking about the beer our friends had, and it was really good! The whole experience here was awesome and I'd rate it beyond a 5 if I could.

I've been here so many times, it's about time I wrote a review. Also just so you know they changed their serving style a few months ago. You no longer sit at a table and order their. You order at the bar and they bring you your food. Even with this change I still love the place! To be honest I've only had the sweet waffles but I see people order the savory waffles all the time. I have also never tried any of the different waffle styles other than the original, but by reading the wall it appears the gluten free ones and other ones are good too. The original waffle is the denser waffle with the sugar bits in it. This ones my favorite style. You can get what ever you want on it or try one of their predesigned ones. I prefer the Tremont Special and the Four Corners. If you like Nutella, the Baby Gatlin (spelling?) looks delicious. But I'm allergic to nuts so I can't have it. All of the staff are always super friendly and very helpful. The walls are covered in drawings from customers. Some of them are funny, and some are just beautiful. If you're like Lesley Knope from Parks and Rec and you appreciate a good waffle, then I would make this my next destination!

I live just down the street from here and was so excited to eat here. My friend and I finally walked up to try it out. While the food was good, it wasn't great. I don't think the Waffles were anything special. We ordered the dipper plate so we could sample many different toppings. For the price $9 it was just OK. The ordering format is a little odd as well. You go in and walk up to a counter, order and get a number. Which seems pretty straight forward but for some reason is a little awkward. They have a few tables inside but most of the seating is outside. All in all the experience was just average.

Ok, but I would think the waffles could be a bit larger for the price. Standard waffle maker size.

Ordered pick up from grub up- arrived and the order hadn't gone through (Grubhub's fault). But, they were amazing!! Immediately started our order and were so friendly. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had 8 mini original waffles and 12 chicken tenderers and everything was so good! We will be back. Thank you!

So good! My first visit was through a friend's recommendation, and since my first trip, I bring anyone who hasn't been yet. The sweet waffles are AMAZING, I eat them until I have to go for a very long walk afterwards. Make sure the try the marshmallow and lemon toppings - perfectly delicious. I like the marshmallow with nutella and strawberries and the lemon goes really well with blueberries and whipped cream. The chicken tenders (as part of the chicken and waffles) are some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had. The hot sauce that comes with them is also perfect, mixed with a little ranch. Everyone that works here is delightful. Friendly and the service is great. I love the outdoor patio area, great for brunch - though the line can get pretty long if you show up after 10am. I've always found street parking and it's also a great place to ride your bike to. Go to here. Even if you don't, I will. Gladly.

30 minutes for a waffle. 30 minutes!! Granted, the waffles are good, which is the only reason they got 2 stars. The patio is beautiful but the staff didn't seem to care at all that nobody had food, and to top it all off they ran out of bananas....

Best waffles around! These are true Belgian waffles which are great. We went to this location multiple times while on business so we were able to try many different things. The waffles have so much flavor already, that I didn't put many toppings. All I needed were some strawberries and those went great with the caramelized sugar already in the waffles. This way you get the real taste of them. I also tried the waffle sandwich which is like a typical breakfast sandwich but made with their huge waffles. Absolutely filling and incredible! It basically counts as two meals as I didn't need to eat again until dinner. I can't wait to go back, a must visit!

The location is a cute, older, remodeled house in a vibrant area close to downtown. I don't know what's up with all the bad reviews, but I came here recently and had a fantastic time. We came on a late Friday morning and sat outside. The weather was beautiful. My brother recommended it due to his past trips to Denver and dining here before. I'm craving delicious waffles as I write this. We need a waffle movement in Austin. They had EVERYTHING!!! They even had an entire section dedicated to waffles with clever names and the unique toppings they put on the waffle. Marshmallow cream cheese topping? Any fruit your heart desires? Check! They offered breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, waffle fries of course, burgers, salads and even chicken & waffles. Delicious coffee beverages as well. I couldn't decide so I opted to get a waffle breakfast sandwich and sub avocado. And it was huge. It had egg, cheese and a spicy cajun sauce, minus jalapeños. I have never had a waffle sandwich and I was impressed. You don't even need maple syrup, none of us used it. They had a very clever option to offer a bag of waffles to take home for just under $10 for the original, whole wheat or GF waffles. Please open a location in Austin, TX. Thanks.

Ill start of with the AMAZING bottomless mimosa deal. For, I believe $9 you get an entire pitcher to share with your table and once it becomes empty someone will bring you a new one. This is pretty great to me because I've been to other places that offer "bottomless" mimosas and sometimes you have to wait a while to flag down your waitress to get a refill, so this was great because you could serve yourself. The ordering style is a little different, you have to go into this converted house and order your food which they will then bring to you. I sat outside on the patio (which is dog friendly) so I didn't get to see too much of the inside. I ordered the 4 corners which is a waffle with four toppings on each corner, it was probably one of the best waffles I've ever had, but it was TINY and $7 which I thought was a little pricy for a waffle the size of my pinky! My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles which he loved. I would definitely come back, but not on an empty stomach because one $7 waffle does not go very far.

This place is aaaamazing. I drive out out my way to get it when I can. I live in Aurora so it's a ways. I absolutely love the cajun sauce with my breakfast. Enough about the amazing food, literally everything is good. Let's talk about the staff. Everyone is the friendliest people you will ever encounter I'm sure if it! If you're having a bad day you should go here because they have a way of making you laugh and smile. Doesn't matter which location you visit. One the of the owners John is usually around and is just as equally friendly and having fun, it makes you want to work there. They play the best music and the environment just makes the food that much better. I don't care how long the wait it, it's with it.

What a funky place!! We walked down the street looking for a place for lunch and saw this place. Loved the old house with the writing on the wall! Cute little garden if you wanted to eat outside. It's a funky, hipster feel. The staff was great. The girl gave us some good advice on what to get. We even tried some local beer and bottomless mimosas. My sister and I split the plain wheat waffle and fried chicken tenders with a side of waffle fries and potato salad. My husband got a smaller serving of classic waffles but was loaded with toppings and boneless chicken wings. It was very filling. Our friend chicken was good. How I prefer it...none of that flour coated fried chicken. (Some people like it but I think it's heavy with waffles.) The seasoning was perfect! The wheat waffle was great. Not too sweet or plain. We just added butter and syrup. My husband had Nutella, bananas, whipped cream, and syrup on a classic waffle. His tasted great with all the toppings. If you're going to get toppings, get the classic waffle because the toppings add a good deal of sweetness. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't had waffles and fried chicken.

I suppose it's strange that I've never eaten a waffle here. But I come during lunch when the urge for breakfast food has long passed. I get a burger on a Brioche bun with a side salad, not even waffle fries. The first couple of visits, my burgers were absolutely wonderful. But I think the kitchen may have made some changes because my most recent burger looked like a pre-made frozen patty, rather than the freshly made hamburgers I remembered. It tasted okay but was smaller than I expected and was cooked to a higher temperature than I requested. I also don't remember the side salad being so expensive: almost $4 for about a cup of mixed greens, carrots and tomatoes. This Waffle Brothers location is housed in an historic restored Victorian house. It definitely has its quirky charms, such as small rooms, a narrow staircase, and drafty windows. I do question management's decision to fill the bottom floor with high-top bar tables that make the room seem even smaller and more cramped. I suggest heading upstairs to dine in relative quiet and enjoy more elbow room. But, undoubtedly, the best seat in the house (weather permitting, of course) is actually outside the house in the front yard underneath a magnificent tree (probably one of the largest in the area). The one constant during all of my visits is the outstanding service. The staff here is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. One especially sweet server opined that people should be happy when they're eating food. I couldn't agree more.

Today we all decided that Waffle Brothers was where we should eat. We chilled outside because it's Colorado. I got the breakfast waffle sammy with bacon, whole wheat waffs, and scrambled eggs. The bacon was legit, nice and crispy. The waffles tasted good but needed a little more crunch. It came with a Cajun sauce, but I was not a fan. Way too sweet and not enough spice. The amount of food was solid and filled me up to go roam the city. Thanks for your time.

The waffles here are pretty good! I ordered the breakfast waffle sandwich with a traditional waffle, a poached egg, cheddar and avocado. The traditional waffle is supposed to be less sweet, but we still found it pretty sweet. The waffle could have been crispier as well, I had a bite of the whole wheat waffle and found it much more flavorful. The egg was poached well and there was a lot of avocado and cheese, which is always appreciated! You can add either meat or avocado to the breakfast sandwich, and getting a second waffle is only $0.20 more than the one-waffle option (~$7 total). Overall, I think this is a great place to go to for a quick breakfast - we didn't have to wait long to order food and the waffles were good.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was amazing, it had a hipster vibe and and 95% of the seating is outside. On a perfect day it's amazing. I ordered da cherry bomb waffle which comes with cherries and creme on top of a Belgium waffle which was super sweet and delightful. I also had bacons and scrambled eggs. The eggs were weird. They put them in a round cooker obviously because they looked perfectly formed.

Went here for a mommy date with babies in tow. We were all really excited but were unfortunately let down by our experience. First of all, we went on a Tuesday morning, and the place was almost completely empty (one other table) - yet the service was still somehow abysmal. The waitress was overly engrossed in her cell phone, and very rarely came over to our table. In fact, someone else came over to clear our plates, because she was too "busy." I ordered coffee, and it took literally 15 minutes to receive it - and it was lukewarm and half empty. Like she poured it, took a big sip, and then forgot to bring me the rest. I was really confused. The food was pretty good. Everyone loves a good waffle, and these waffles were tasty. But they were a little overpriced for what was received. I ordered the Waffle Breakfast Plate with the whole wheat waffle. It says you get a waffle, poached eggs, meat, and fruit, and I got a modestly-sized waffle, 2 eggs, 1 piece of bacon, 1 halved strawberry, a couple berries, and a third of a banana still in its peel, all for $10. Not terrible, but I would have expected a bit more. Especially on the fruit side. I basically just got a fruit garnish. The food was decent, but for a place that should be known for its waffles, I wanted to be wowed. The location was really cute, both inside and outside. I just can't get past the cost and the service. I probably won't be back, unfortunately. I really love waffles, but I guess I'll have to just get really good and making them myself.

Ate here on a Saturday morning in the spring. Pleased to say that theses are the best "sweet" waffles in the Denver metro area. You would have to drive down to Colorado Springs and eat at black bear diner to find something better. These waffles can be topped with anything, from pineapple to nutella. I got the Tremont special which uses the freshest bananas and strawberries anywhere. Toped with real whipped cream. No canned products here. While I do love this homey location on 17th near park ave. I feel it could use some work. The tables are all mismatched. And they were a bit grimes to the touch. May not be whipped down between patrons. This is why the only get three stars. The food tho like I said is 5 stars. Ultimately if you are in the area and need a great quick bite to eat. Don't want ro go to a chain or fast food. This is the place to go since they serve your food fast even on a busy day.

Worst service ever. It really does not take 1 hour to make a waffle sandwich. No one even came to check in with us as we waited the entire time. When we went to check on our order it had not even been started yet. 1 HOUR LATER!! We were given a refund. WEAK!

It's fascinating when the reviews of some of these joints are so varied. It's also the most frustrating thing ever-- as someone who reads Yelps. It basically means I gotta roll them dice if I decide to try a spot out, and Yelp is sort of geared toward the exact opposite. Inconsistency is this place's biggest issue. I've had really great service, and I've waited 30 minutes for a check. I've been sat right away, and I've had to stand in the atrium area for several minutes with everyone starin' at me and me starin' back at them like, "Yo, 'course you know who the host is, you been sat! Help me out, yo!" The food is consistently slammin', though. I generally go with the Democrat. Maybe some chocolate chips on that thing. Their gluten free batter is the absolute very best. Not grainy and gritty-- not dry. I half want to say something about how the table legs and e'erthang's usually covered in syrup, but that's just messy patrons, and they'd never seat anyone if they had to inspect and wipe down tables and whatnot. Just sayin'-- protect yo' threads. Aight?!

I was craving some decadent sugary treat this morning and came here for the first time. Ordered the Baby Gatlin's, which is a delicious waffle with Nutella, banana, nuts, and whipped cream (yes VERY decadent). I was surprised by the large size of the waffle. Everything tasted delicious and service was super friendly. Will definitely be back for another sweet breakfast fix!

As a long time fan of waffle bros, I was very disappointed on my most recent visit. Although they have made some major changes in the last few months, from serving yourself while trying to enjoy their lovely outdoor patio, to the now limited seating indoors due to the removal of the bar top to make it a service counter, and in the rat race that is brunch with bottomless mimosas in Denver (especially along 17th ave) they have now discontinued their bottomless mimosas for reasons I cannot comprehend. Unfortunately I no longer will make waffle brothers part of my weekly routine. Hopefully, things will one day change there again, and we will all be able to enjoy bottomless mimosas, and waffles on the best outdoor patio in Denver. #brokenwaffleheart

I have to say that their food is really good. I am giving it 1 star for cleanliness. They do not wear gloves when they are cutting up the fruit or making food in general. This grossed me out when the cashier picked up a waffle with her bear hands and then took dishes from patrons that had been eaten off of and went back to cooking food and handling it. Never washing their hands. When someone is responsible for cooking, cashiering, food prep, these should all have to have hand washing as a practice when handling food. AT LEAST WEAR GLOVES! Poor, poor food prep practices. I thought in Denver gloves were a requirement, but the owner/ manager (not sure) was doing the same. Wont be back because when breakfast cost 32.00 for 2 people you should know that it is not going to make you sick.

This is the place to go if you want Belgian waffles. The Nutella, cream cheese and fruit options are all great. My favorite is the Breakmest though. You can never go wrong with it and the waffles are a good sized portion. Eat here for breakfast and fall in love.

This place is the best!! We love the service and have always been happy with the food. Try the Chicken and Waffles they are the best. Also, don't forget to take some of the frozen waffles home.

DA BOMB!!!! This place has absolutely delicious waffles; 4 types as matter of fact. Went there the other day with my daughter. Ordered the 'original' Da Cherry Bomb waffles....oh my.....heavenly! The original waffles are a little bit sweeter than the traditional waffles, but hey, who doesn't love some sweetness! These waffles are delicious every single bit. Our waffles were topped with a marshmallow cream cheese spread, cherries, and sweet whipped cream. Had a side of bacon. That was yummy too! When the weather is warmer, they have a very nice outdoor patio area and the day we went, we were treated to someone playing the guitar. All I can say is, if you enjoy waffles, you will not be disappointed! Give them a try!!!
