Ugh....hotel food at its worst. The fried artichoke hearts appetizer was ok. But the garlic bread appetizer was lousy. The bread was soggy and clathered in way too much low quality cheese on making it a heavy, greasy mess. The spinach salad was garnished with oily fried (!?!) onions and 4 small cherry tomatoes. The salad was drenched in an uninspired oil and vinegar dressing which overwhelmed the dried out chunks of mozzarella. I'd go to smash burger across the street before I'd eat here again. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet in the morning was fine.

2 stars Service is solid here, mainly because there's never more than 4 tables in the restaurant... I was here for breakfast. Food is below par, I ordered an oatmeal and 2 egg whites, the oatmeal was good, hard to screw up in my opinion. but the eggs were gross, they were obvious egg whites from a carton and the cook (not chef) had doused his pan in some margerine based non stick solution that was all over my "eggs." Too top it all off that order plus a coffee was $17 plus tax. In retrospect I feel 2 stars is generous, but I'll keep it because the service was good.

I chose to eat here because it was in the hotel I was staying at. I stay at the same hotel every time I am in Denver and I had never tried it before. It is a large place so I got a table instantly. The service is good. They are attentive and friendly. I ordered the garlic bread with cheese to start. It was ok. It was smothered in cheese which is always a good thing. I ordered chicken parm for my meal. It was a decent size portion with a lot of pasta. It was not bad, but it was rather bland. The sauce could use some more flavor. I did get complimentary soup with dinner. It was probably the best tasting item. It was the minestrone. In the end the place gets two starts because it is overpriced for the level of food they serve. This is unfortunately common with hotel restaurants.

We had the breakfast buffet inside the hotel (The Renaissance Denver) and really enjoyed it. My omelette was super tasty and the oatmeal was delicious- they had brown sugar, raisins, Craisins, and granola you could add to it. They had crispy bacon and also some good blueberry scones. It also had fruit, eggs, sausage, breakfast sandwiches, yummy breakfast potatoes, and sausage gravy and biscuits. They also had salmon and cereals and yogurts. The woman who seemed to be the manager was friendly and had a great sense of humor- very likable. She handled an employee situation from another table very well- good customer service.

Wow. Yum. Thank you United airlines for being completely horrible and unorganized and for making me miss my flight. Got stuck in this giant hotel because of airline mixups and ended up eating here because I had an airport voucher. Being a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised and happy they had one vegan option on the menu. Portobello Napoleon. It was UNREAL. Best food I have gotten from a restaurant since I moved away from the ridiculously delicious and tiny thai restaurant in my college town. perfectly grilled giant portobello mushroom tops on a bed of sautéed spinach, oven dried tomatoes, and giant white beans in a light marinara and garlic sauce. I will be attempting to make this as soon as I get home. I purposely ate half and requested a to go box so I could give my t-buds a rest and eat the second portion in my hotel room.

I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel and ate several meals at the Vivace. I'm on a Bread Pudding Quest, seeking out the best bread puddings in the land, so I had to try Vivace's banana version. It was delivered by room service. They serve up a large square of bread pudding topped with caramelized sliced bananas. At the side was caramel sauce and whipped cream. Really lovely presentation. The texture of the bread pudding was perfect. I like bananas but only raw (usually), so I was very pleased at how good they tasted here. They had a sugary layer that crackled under my fork. I would have liked it all a bit warmer--but hey, it was delivered--but this was still one of the better bread puddings I've tried. (Check out my full list.) I had breakfast from room service. They ordered what they call the "healthy start breakfast" with cottage cheese, a fruit cup, and a bagel. They erred, and delivered a bagel, cottage cheese, and a full fruit plate, which doubled the cost. She was apologetic and left all the food, and I soon had a call about the corrected price total. They handled the issue with grace. The breakfast itself was not extraordinary. The bagel was not toasted or warm, and came with two cups of Philly cream cheese. The cottage cheese was normal. The fruit plate was quite good, though I wouldn't have wanted to pay $8 for it. Lunch was eaten at the restaurant. I had the Greek salad with added chicken, which was really expensive; I've paid as much at other places, but at least then it was organic or locally sourced. I can say it was delicious, though. Good size, great mix of flavors. They brought it out very fast, too. The restaurant was almost empty so it was the perfect environment to relax and read a book as I ate.

After an extremely tiring travel day, I met the most delightful, friendly, and helpful waitress at this place. The food was great, and I'm so appreciative of the level of service I received. Thumbs up!

Not bad for hotel food. My company sends me to Denver at least once a year, and tonight, I am meeting my co workers in the hotel restaurant for dinner, on the company of course. It's all but empty, the service is excellent, and the food was good, small menu but it's eclectic, I got the stuff ravioli with mushrooms and the demi glace is rich and wonderful, loved it. One of my co workers isn't in to meat, and they had a Mediterranean version of veggies and hummus, so she was happy. Good food, good service.

Ate here last night. The server, the only one was a bit grumpy because I asked for a certain table, but honestly there weren't hardly any customers in the place. He did warm up after a bit and in the end did a nice job. The food was good except for the salad which was clearly out of a bag. Hey, it was handy to eat in the hotel.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
