I can't say enough good things about this place! & Sooo inexpensive! I love the little original place in The Far East Center too. This new place has a brightly decorated seating area. I can't even say which of all these wonderful Vietnamese treats that I liked the most. The Vietnamese Sandwiches have SO much flavor! They're made with the meat of your choice, Grilled Pork, Pork Meatball, Chicken, Bbq Pork Ham & Pork Souse or Bbq Pork. Each comes with Pickled Carrots, Cucumber, Cilantro, Jalapeno,Daikon, Pate, Mayonnaise Salt & Pepper, $3.00 ea. We had to get some of our other favorites for later. Pork Puff Pasty $1.75ea, Shrimp Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce 3 for $3.50, Sesame Balls with Yellow Bean $.65 cents ea, Black Eyed Pea & Coconut Cream Pudding $1.75ea & of course a can of Banana flavored Grass Jelly Drink. As I wrote this we tried the Homemade Ginger Soda & it was wonderful!

The best Vietnamese sandwiches (the Original is my favorite) and I love their salted caramel hot chocolate.

Amazing Bahn mi sandwiches. Great steam/baked buns & tapioca desserts in the drink case. When we drive up to Denver for concerts, sporting events, etc. we always stop by this place and pick up at least a half dozen sandwiches to go. Clean, quiet, nice decor. Plenty of parking, too - it's in a large shopping plaza.

Ordered two meatball banh mi sandwiches. They weren't bad.

2012 Review #5 Not to be politically incorrect, but I'm just gonna say it. This Vinh Xuong location is the store for white people. Or at least, non-Vietnamese people. I love the other store, and I love the owner to death, but I do feel like a fool wandering around its full 100 square feet, looking at everything which is label-free and thinking "well I wonder what THAT is!" Luckily at this location, everything has gone to another level of transparency. Things are labeled, prices are clearly marked on signs and on a board on the main wall. Luckily, the food has not been Anglican-ized. it's just as tasty and great as the other location just a few blocks away. I was so happy to be able to read all the labels, and picked up some mung bean sesame balls (love those things), a baked BBQ pork bun (steamed also available), and a couple other items. They sell drinks and Vietnamese coffee, and they have a few trendy items like cake pops. They also make the Bahn Mi much more obvious in this store, as opposed to the handwritten sign in the original store, hiding behind the cash register. The prices are ridiculously low ($2.5 for a giant bahn mi) and service is still personal and kind. The main employee here is the granddaughter of the owner at the other location. Everyone is still knowledgable, the food is all still delicious, but it's also just a little easier to understand.

Delicious. Yummly baked treats on display. Lots of drinks to choose from. The sandwiches are made fresh. The bread is hard but chewy the way it should be. It comes with jalapenos which I wouldn't get next time. Other than that veggies and pate were yummly. I shall be back soon.

I walked in today and was very pleased with this bakery. They were out of sesame balls, which I wanted to get (and then wanted even more after reading the yelp reviews), however I was impressed with the baked pork bun. Priced reasonably, big, and better than any of the dim sum restaurants around the area (I find some of them have a lot of fat in the pork filling). The almond cookie was good, but nothing special. The gentlemen behind the counter were helpful and very friendly. I look forward to returning.

This is a great little place!! I needed a few Asian ingredients & was in the neighborhood & decided to get my boyfriend a banh mi. Wow so glad I stopped here. This is a lovely bakery that makes banh mis also. The prices are crazy cheap for what you get, $3 a sandwich. The guy working there was super friendly & very helpful. They also take credit, which often can be rare for little places around there. As I don't eat meat the food review is from my boyfriend. The sandwiches are simple, bread is fresh & crusty, ingredients are fresh & flavorful. I will certainly stop here when I'm in the area. Totally check this place out!!

Best Vietnamese Sandwiches in Denver, and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee is absolutely unreal. Outstanding Prices Too! Long Live Vinh Xuong

My friend and I went here for lunch today. It was the best grilled pork sandwich I had ever had! It was made on delicious French-inspired Vietnamese bread and had fresh cilantro and jalapenos. For $3 bucks!!!. I also had something very unusual to drink--a basil seed soda that had little chewy jelly basil seeds floating in it. I had kind of thought I had eaten everything on this earth that that was to eat but these two amazing flavors together were mind blowing! For desert, I stopped back in and got a little round fried sesame roll filled with slightly sweet bean stuffing. Again--outstanding! The location seems out of the way but it is only a few minutes west of Broadway or Wash Park on Alameda. Seriously incredible! And two dudes ate lunch for $11!!!

I had been to Ba Le a few times, but wanted to mix it up. This was very different as I think the Sandwich seemed more "Americanized". However that doesnt mean it wasn't AMAZING!! I got the Pork Banh Mi and the meat and veggies were super fresh. It was also a HUGE sandwich which could easily be split between 2 people. I grabbed a little pastry off the counter and a coke and the guy said $4. $4 total for a HUGE sandwich, extra treat, and drink.... really a steal of a deal. I will be back... probably soooooonnnnnnn.

This is the best banh mi I have ever had, the bread is the the best part. Where else in this town can you get a delicious sandwich, that can easily turn into 2 meals for under $3. On any given day they have the best beef stew and these bread sticks to dip into the stew. This is a defnite must try!!

I was craving a banh mi for lunch one day so I stopped by this place on my break. I wish that I hadn't... I ordered the bbq pork and my co-worker ordered the lemongrass chicken. The pork was somehow flavorless and a bit soggy. The chicken was bone dry and hard. The vegetables were nowhere near fresh. Very disappointing as the reviews I had read were all very positive. I ended up taking most of the veggies and meat off of the sandwich and just eating the bread, which was the only somewhat redeeming ingredient. Don't waste your time and money here, go the extra distance to the New Saigon bakery off Federal a few blocks south of Alameda.

This was an impressive meal! Some seriously delicious good eats. I had the "Original" Vietnamese sandwich. Wow! Whitney made a perfect combo of bread veggies and meat. I almost didn't finish it because it was so big! Yummo! I can't wait to come back tomorrow and try the Grilled Pork sandwich.

Best banh mi in the Denver area. My favorite is the grilled lemongrass pork. The owner is constantly coming up with delicious new treats, so always take a look around before you pay. One time I had a delicious goat curry. The coconut bread is great. Also, the price is unbeatable. An out of control good banh mi sandwich is $3.50. Love this place. Also, the bakery is in back, so they bake all those pastries and all that bread on premises. Not to mention, they prepare the pickled carrot and daikon and the meats in the back as well!!

The people here are nice, and the shop itself is clean and has plenty of seating. However, the drinks and che (Vietnamese dessert soup) left a bit to be desired. I ordered a simple milk tea, but it was tasteless and full of powder particles that left grit in my mouth after taking a swig through my straw. I also tried che sam bo luong, and it had a strage artifical sweetness to it. I tossed both items after the first few sips/bites. The Vietnamese coffee was good, nothing extraordinary to redeem the rating of this review.

Friendly staff, fresh banh mi, and delicious pastries!! This family owned bakery is the only place I go in Denver when I can't go home to California and Little Saigon or home-cooked food made by good 'ol mom. Coffee is great, BBQ pork buns are to die for, and every type of banh mi I have tried is served up on fluffy, fragrant baked bread. On top of it all, the decor and atmosphere is definitely a step above what I am used to in small Asian bakeries.

After trying unimpressive banh mi in Hong Kong and New York, I can say I finally understand people's love of this Vietnamese sandwich thanks to the people at Vinh Xuong. I decide to grab an original sandwich for lunch and felt like I was robbing the store when I only handed over $2.75 for the entire thing. At other places you might find yourself wanting two to fill you up but not here, one is MORE than enough. After taking one bite into the perfectly baked bread I knew this sandwich would steal my heart. The vegetables were fresh, the sauce was sweet and the meat delicious. I raved about my lunch to my parents and my enthusiasm led them to wanting to try it too. Not wanting to go back to the same spot and having to explain myself, I popped into the original bakery not too far away from this second outpost. As long as I was there, I decided to grab a steamed pork bun for myself too and, while it was good, I don't think it can sway me away from the banh mi. I've been trying banh mi practically anywhere I could find it, praying I'd be converted into loving it. I can now say I am and know I don't need to go anywhere else but here to get the perfect bite. When deciding between the two, I'd say this location wins as it has some seats in case you don't want to grab it to go, is a little bit bigger and just feels brighter. But even if you hit up the original spot, there's no doubt you get the same quality food.

The bread! So good. I go here about once a week. I used to go to New Saigon bakery, but it was always packed, and they raised the prices. So that led me here. This is a cash only establishment. The bread is to die for. Try it.

Delicious. Went for lunch today and can't wait to go back. Split the duck special and combo banh mi and found both terrific. Bread was crunchy outside soft inside and the price for everything was extremely reasonable. Ended up buying the chili oil on the way out and can't wait to cook with it this week...it's flavorful with just the right amount of spice/heat level. Can't wait to go back!

I am in love with this bakery. I visited for the first time last week, and I have wanted to go back every single day. I had a wonderfully moist and delicious coconut cake-type thing (sticky rice cake?), a perfectly made lavender milk tea, and a yummy pineapple turnover. The people working there were so incredibly friendly and helpful, especially since I had no idea what anything was, and I was acting really hopped up from the dim sum I had just eaten. The customers in the place joined in on the recommendations, and suggested that the banh mi sandwich was the best thing ever. I will be trying one of these on my next visit. (my friend had one and raved about it). I now want to get some of the overpriced but probably worth it moon cakes as well, since it's the season for them.

Are you hungry? Only got $5? Go here! You cannot beat their big sandwiches for under $4! Delicious, filling and oh so satisfying! Don't have that much time or money? Grab a to-go BBQ Pork Bun for under $3! Yea...under, as in below, less than, beneath... $3! I would highly, highly, highly recommend anyone checking this place out! Try the Combo...de.light.ful!

Great Banh Mi Sandwiches At Great Prices! After I checked out the Denver Bouldering Club around the corner I worked up a hunger climbing up and down walls, so I checked my Yelp bookmarks to see what was close. This place is minutes away!!!! I wanted to come here because I heard that their sandwiches were pretty spectacular and they did not disappoint! I have to say that especially for the price you cannot beat it! I had the Grilled Pork Sandwich and it was delicious! The grilled pork was so flavorful! I must have been the first time I had a Banh Mi without adding Sriracha sauce. It did not need it and I did not miss it :) The bread was also fresh, flaky, and it also did not cut the top of my mouth lol. I think that is a good thing! I also picked up a Lavender Milk Tea and a Sweet Corn Tapioca. The milk tea was nice and the guy was right about not being able to taste the lavender. Nothing special, but like any other milk tea I have had. My sweet corn tapioca was something else though, never again. The consistency was grainy and you could not see or really taste the corn. I thought it would just be cool to get it, but I will not be getting it again. Tapioca is supposed to be creamy and light. This was a mess. The food was the highlight and I will be back for that, but everything else was not a part of the attraction. The look of the store front and inside was fine, but I like a good atmosphere to enjoy my food and treats. I saw that the rotating cake stand base was exposed with the motor showing and all the wires. Scary. And I was the only customer in the shop during my visit. I did not feel unwelcome, but I didn't feel like the staff were glad to see me lol. I want to go back and get some more sandwiches and milk teas though :) I will probaly take out next time ;)

We had lunch here today. Loved the 2 sandwiches we had, one grilled pork, the other pork meatball. House made ginger drink was terrific, sesame ball outstanding. Good value, very clean, very good. Give it a try.

There is a reason that the universe blessed our planet with sunshine and water. The reason is because we can grow grains and veggies and cure meats, UM, wait, not me, but the proprietors of Vinh Xuong Bakery know how to mix that all up into perfection. I never got passed an Easy Bake Oven. Do yourself a favor and swing by this bakery, you will never eat store bought bread again. They make every good treat under the sun. The ba minh melted in my mouth and I ate the entire sandwich - oh good lord, fresh, fresh, fresh! There are tempting desserts and BBQ pork buns that make me want to weep at recalling my childhood in Hawaii. This is the second of the family owned (LOCAL*woot*) bakeries in Denver. Everything that is good about the American dream must be coming out of this bakery. Seriously, hand on heart, you will not leave there dissappointed. Oh, grab a Veitnamese coffee while you are there - the ice totally rocks! The coolest cubes in town! No, you are the coolest cube in town because you will eat there!

Ackkk! Let's just say, the Vietnamese coffee was NOT good here. Being new to the area, my mission was to find a decent place that sold decent coffee. Decided to whip out the good ole' Yelp app... and scanned the following reviews and tips on the place. Stumbled upon a review that said "Coffee worth traveling for," ... *shakes head*--In my opinion, their vietnamese coffee is not worth traveling for, nor even worth buying. In the end, I drove down a few blocks to New Saigon Deli for better authentic tasting vietnamese coffee and threw away my full cup of coffee from Vinh Xuong Bakery 2.

Be still, my beating heart, I'm in sandwich love. Cupid's arrow has pierced my baguette, and I can never love another. This place was way cool and not quite what I expected. It's bright and cheery with lots of light, and even more fresh baked goodies. Nothing was labelled so I was not sure what I was looking at in a few cases, but the guy working there was very helpful and steered me towards good selections. I ordered 2 banh mi sandwiches. A grilled pork, and a meatball. I ate the pork one in the shop, and what a fantastic sandwich it was. Crusty bread that is soft inside and just slightly chewy, fresh crunchy veggies, with flavors of soy and ginger on the pork itself. Absolutely delicious, and easily enough to be a meal on it's own. I also ordered a meatball sandwich that I saved for dinner. It was equally delicous, even though it spent several hours in my refigerator. I wanted to get something for dessert, so I grabbed a small, heavy pastry in a plastic wrapper without really knowing what it was. The guy there kindly explained to me that it is a delicasy of sorts, and it's quite expensive and somewhat of an acquired taste. I opted to try something else, and was recommended a sesame seed ball. It was slightly sweet, chewy, with a delicious filling. Maybe it's the southerner in me, but this would have been even better with a little honey to dip it in. =). The best part is the value for your dollar here. I got 2 giant sandwiches, a delicious pastry, and a diet coke for 7 bucks! I felt like I was ripping them off. It's hard to believe I've eaten lunch at the Subway down the street a bunch of times....lol. Never again. OH......strangely, the regular coffee they serve here is Cafe du Monde coffee with chicory. Delish. You gotta come try the BANH MI cuz it's the BOMB to ME, yo. WORD.

We have been to the original locations nearby and really only come to this one over the other because they take credit cards - both locations are great. The last two times we came in they were having a roasted duck bahn mi weekend special. I could have eaten the duck alone but it was A delicious bahn mi. Thai tea and Vietnamese iced coffee are also staples for our orders. It is served with some sort of spicy dried chili paste that was a little too much kick for me, I just have to ask for a little less next time ;). Still A-mazing every time.

  • JT T.

Sorry, it just didn't do it for me. Ordered the banh mi dac biet which is the combo with all the goodies (ham, cha, headcheese, pate). It wasn't flavorful and the pickled daikon and carrots were a bit overpowering. And at $4 a banh mi, I expected a lot more. Maybe I'm just used to the California prices where a banh mi is $3 max. I will say the restaurant is extremely clean and inviting. Service was friendly and fast.

If you're looking for a banh mi shop that isn't a hole in the wall but is still authentic, look no further. Seriously, this place has the same ambience as a coffee shop, but better-smelling since there are sandwiches. There's also a pretty good selection of random snacks, flan, desserts, and (good) coffee, so you really can't go wrong with stopping by here for lunch. Seriously, this is the only sandwich shop I've seen that also offers Aeropress/Chemex coffee as an option. I've also done a few large orders (~30 sandwiches) from here to serve at interview dinners for my program, and had no problems getting those. In fact, I think that doing so has convinced some people to come to Denver over other places!

This bakery was highly recommended to me by a friend who lives close by. I think he often goes there for lunch, but I tried it for an early dinner (they're open until 6). I wonder if I would have been able to give it more stars had I gone there earlier in the day-- my only complaint is how stale the bun my sandwich came on was! I can't fault the service or the shop itself (modern, organized, quick, friendly) and the freshness of the flavors on my pork sandwich was really tasty. Especially for the price! I'll definitely be back, at lunch time.

Cute little hipsterish bakery with the best Banh-Mi we've had in Colorado. At $3.50 a pop, the deliciousness-to-price ratio is ridiculous. Also discovered my new favorite dessert here--sweet corn tapioca! Creamy, not too sweet, mega-corny (what can I say? I like weird dessert). Only complaint is that the staff (I see the same two in here every time, a man and a woman) doesn't seem to clean the tables very regularly. There've been times when we were the only patrons in there and all 6-7 tables were covered in crumbs and food, with the staff standing idly behind the counter. Otherwise, the place is spot-on.

A friend introduced me to this place and I just went back for the Spicy Tofu Bahn Mi. It is just so good. The restaurant is clean and smells amazing as soon as you open the doors. Staff is also very friendly.

Hello, I think I'm in love with you, Vinh Xuong Bakery 2. Let's be honest, sometimes I'm not in the mood to be on Federal in a hole in the wall wondering what health code violations are taking place. Ok. I generally don't feel like this, but I loveeeeeeeeeee banh mi like there's something fierce and crazy in my heart. Actually, I love Vietnamese food like this to the point I could eat it every day and wonder if I was Vietnamese in a past life - or something like that. This place is bomb. It's so super cute and adorable inside. The food is legit and delicious. I got the pork banh mi and an iced jasmine tea. The sandwich was a pure delight. The tea was delicious and super clean tasting. I ended up with a caffeine buzz to boot. My kid got a loaf of bread and one of the che dessert cups. Holy heaven. That dessert cup was coconut goodness. I can't wait to go back! I'd give it 4.5-5 stars easily. I went with 4 stars because I think yelp sometimes hides all the five star reviews if it's too much. I dunno. This place is adobs! Love, love, love.

The first time I went here (December 9th 2013) was when we had Dim Sum next door and my friend purchased the Youtiao aka Chinese Doughnut aka Fried Breadstick. I was craving for Asian Desserts. Hmm, I wonder what Vinh Xuong Bakery 2 has to offer, so to this establishment we went. That recent visit was on Sunday February 9th 2014. Time was about 12:10hrs ish. The items I purchased from this establishment were : * 2 orders of Youtiao aka Chinese Doughnuts * 1 piece of Jin deui aka Sesame Seed Ball * 1 piece of Small Almond Cookie * 1 Vanilla Roll with Custard All the desserts/pastries/cookie was like about $5. Maybe it my bad, coz when the person behind the counter, pick up the Desserts, he ask me if everything can be in 1 bag. So its my bad, coz the Savory Fried Dough, was with the Sesame Ball and the Almond Cookie resulting in "sweet" taste. So NOTE TO SELF, the Youtiao IS NOT to be mixed or packaged with the Sweet items/pastry/cookie. Sesame Seed Ball doable taste, though I so wish if the paste they put inside should be more. The Sesame Seed Ball is a type of fried Chinese pastry made from glutinous rice flour. The pastry is coated with sesame seeds on the outside and is fried hence the crisp and chewy texture. Inside the pastry is a large hollow, caused by the expansion of the dough. The hollow of the pastry is filled with a filling usually consisting of lotus paste. The Jin deui was similar to what I had growing up. Hubs does not fancy this Sesame Seed Ball as much as I was. To my surprised, when Hubs tasted the Youtiao, aka Fried Chinese Doughnuts, he LIKED it. Yes, its ALL-GREASY Goodness! Hmm, I bet anything and everything FRIED and HOT is good in our books. The Small Almond Cookie is our next favorite. If I am NOT mistaken, the small Almond Cookie the size of my fist, was like about $0.75. The Vanilla Roll with Custard got the least vote. Hmm, I am torn about this Cake aka Roll. It tasted similar like Pandan Chiffon Cake, just in a Roll form.. But what about the Custard??? It has a hint of Vanilla in the Green portion of the Roll, but NOT overwhelming. Maybe the next time, I should ask the staff the real name of this Desserts and the pricing of it. That includes the Jin deui aka Sesame Seed Ball ($0.75). Wonder if inside the Jin deui was the Lotus Paste?? Hmmm... All in all, Decent pastry and desserts though I think they have room for improvement in my books. Err in this case, my personal taste buds. They are Open EVERYDAY from Mondays till Sundays, 10am till 6pm. VINH XUONG BAKERY 2370 W. Alameda Ave. UNIT 15 Denver, CO 80223 Tel : (303)-922-0999 @27/2014

Ahh i remember in my childhood having a banh be wrapped in saran wrap.. that 1st bite.. where the crispy bread crunched but not too much to hurt. the bread where it splits open was nice and buttery.. That was probably the 1st time I had Vinh Xuong. Flash forward 20+ years.. I had a lyft passenger tell me how awesome this place was. I knew it was good.. but for some reason I kept to this "other" place. Cause it was good.. but when I came back a month ago.. ooh wee.. talk about childhood memories.. not sure if it's the card catalog or the auditorium chairs. I order my banh mi (meatballs) and noticed in the corner of my eye some banh bao.. seriously nothing but memories. I get the banh bao and they re-heat it.. 1st bite.. BOOM quail egg.. This is exactly how i remembered it when i was a kid.. i don't get other places how they put in a quarter of an egg vs a quail egg.. i get it's easier.. but you're just cheapening the experience. I wait for my sandwich.. it arrives.. Now when I was a child my mom would get a bunch of banh mi (bread only) so we can have it w/ our curry or just eggs. I'd remember knocking down the bread by eating the top where it splits and gutting it out. (kind of like what jimmy johns does.. but throws it away.. -what the hell?) I'd then drop in 2-3 eggs w/ some soy sauce & lime.. oooh weeeee. So that bread.. that top where it splits.. is freaking MONEY.. Atmosphere awesome Food Way awesome Drinks - Cafe Sua Da - Definitely awesome Art I was impressed.. reminded of Orange County.

This location is a satellite of the original shop located in the Far East Center just off Alameda and Federal. I heard that this place is run by the owner's kids. You can definitely tell. The decor is really funky, unique and (dare I say) hipster. It's very clean and there is always ample seating should you choose to drink your coffee or eat your banh mi in shop. The Vietnamese coffee here is definitely good, but a little pricey in my eyes. The bread they make the banh mi with is also very good. I think that the updated look at the shop reflects a little in their prices though.

This place is amazing! The bahn mi is excellent and really cheap. Had the pork meatball bahn mi and it was perfect. The bread is really good too. And I always have to get a croissant there, because it's as good as in France! I just wish they had a location closer to downtown. I'm sure they would crush it.

I love this place! This is by far the best Bahn Mi sandwich around! The only place that offers such a variety of Bahn Mi sandwich options. It's also a bakery too and has some tremendous desserts and coffee options. You have to try this place. Truly one of a kind.

Phenomenal coffee and some really inventive desserts. Definitely check this place out. The staff is really friendly, and they have a wide variety of treats to choose from. It's also cool place to hang out if you have a little work to do or just feel like chilling. I regularly stop by this place when I'm in the area.

I haven't reviewed VXB 2 yet? What a doof! I've been eating the bread and baked goods of the Huynh family now for... I can't even remember. Over 20 years at least. It's very cool that they opened this cafe style shop with seating because for years I would eat their banh mi sandwiches I bought at the Federal location in my car and would always end up with a lapful of crumbs from their delicious baguettes. Looking at all the bad reviews for the place I can only say one thing.... what a bunch of whiny beeotches! He didn't smile at me so I gave them two stars... seriously? the vietnamese coffee wasn't good... ummm maybe you should have said something in the store? I don't know. I guess some of the reviews have legitimate gripes but I have none, have had none and will continue to come here to pay $3.50 (it went up 50 cents but still a screaming deal) for a good banh mi sandwich.

I've only hand maybe 3 bahn mi sandwiches in my life so I'm no expert. But I really think their sandwiches are DELICIOUS. They don't have a vegetarian option on their menu, but they are always happy to make one with avocado in place of meat for me. Their sesame balls are also AMAZING and their iced Vietnamese Coffee is so so good. And because their staff is always so friendly I have to give them a full 5 stars.

White girl confession: Just found out I've been pronouncing "Pho" incorrectly for roughly two years...yep, that makes a person feel ignorant. But, considering Pho is not on their impressive menu, have no fear of suffering the same embarrassment in this establishment! As stated above, you can totally pull my card for not knowing a lick about traditional Vietnamese food. I do know all about tasty sandwiches however, and this place has 'em in spades; for only $4 a pop. Are they authentic? I have no f'n clue. They're delicious and that's all you need to know. The Combination and the BBQ Pork are top notch. We swing by here on the way to the mountains and order sandwiches for our ski buddies. They keep surprisingly well for the weekend. They also have $2 BBQ Pork, and Pork & Quail Egg Buns in their refrigerator section that you can steam for a minute in the microwave. Perfect for a quick breakfast before hitting the slopes with no dishes to wash!

By far, my favorite place to come enjoy a Vietnamese iced coffee and delicious banh mi. Amazingly friendly and efficient staff, wide variety of food and dessert choices, comfortable and clean atmosphere.

Okay, so I came here to order 70 banh ba ti xo for my wedding day tea ceremony. Pick up time 7:30am... Well wedding day came and he only had 40 ready and didn't even get done until 8:30am... His excuse was I placed my order way too in advance and he misplaced my receipt. I mean WTF be better organize and don't blame the customer for ordering 1 month before... Then he had the nerve to call me on my wedding day at 11am to see if I still want the rest... Tea ceremony is over why would I need it. So disappointed, so if you order from here be careful because you might not receive your order. I got the refund back on the 30 banh ba ti xo that i didn't receive and an extra 10 dollars from my first order...big woop, still messed up on a very important day. Secondly the banh ba ti xo was not good, felt pretty under cook as well. This place I would never go back to get anything... The banh mi is not good, if you want good banh mi go to New saigon bakery or ba le because this place does not even do banh mi justice... The jasmine milk tea I ordered was also watered down. Havn't had anything that I like about this place.

We love this place!!! Such a gem! First off, you can't find a better quick lunch value than their awesome sandwiches. Authentic, delicious and under 4 bucks! Very clean and nice and maybe less intimidating for the average ignorant american than some of the other equally authentic Vietnamese establishments. It has a bit of a more modern twist, but 100% authentic! This is the son's version of his parents concept (the original Vinh Xuong) and he did a wonderful job pulling it off. This along with King's Land next door are two of our favorite spots in Denver. Probably two of the most underrated and overlooked gems in town. You must try! And go to try new things! Do not be afraid! Especially the wonderful desserts!

Great food, great atmosphere. Had a veggie banh mi and it was awesome. Sesame bun for dessert was brand new to me and delicious. Highly recommend this place.

The two people behind the counter -- one an Asian guy and the other a Caucasian woman -- well, they are rude. Monosyllabic, unsmiling and just plain unwelcoming. Which is unfortunate given that they offer THREE DOLLAR BANH-MI SANDWICHES THAT ARE DECENT. Which would make me want to go back day after day if they were even just slightly nice. Maybe they're married; maybe they were fighting that day. Maybe I ordered the last monster almond cookie. Maybe next time when I go they will manage to break a smile and even act like they care about my money. Oh to dream! My husband ordered the "pork belly" special and it was bad. Not pork belly at all, for anyone who knows and loves pork belly. We also got the bbq pork banh mi and it was okay. The winner by far? The grilled pork banh mi, which is the only thing you should get, and ask for extra mayo sauce. Three dollars for a good grilled pork banh mi? I'll be back, no matter how sour and dour the two behind the counter happen to be.

it's hard to to give a place less than 5 stars when the food is incredible, the atmosphere is spot on, the coffee is great, and the owner is a wonderful guy. i seriously think about stopping here every night on my way home.

Great Banh Mis! Went here for the cold cut pork sandwich, and I was not disappointed. It was better than my previous experiences at "authentic" Bahn Mi places bec it's more of a bistro than a dive, hosts weren't as rude, and there were fresher ingredients used on the sandwiches. My sandwich and a mexican coke was $5. I will be frequenting this place.

Ordered the chicken sandwich and subbed more jalapeno for cilantro. It was phenomenal and was easily a shareable size for only $3.50. Definitely going to become a staple in my dining out.

The Bánh mì đc bit, combo sandwich is the first Vietnamese sandwich I've had here. INCREDIBLE! Their sesame ball was super tasty too! Can't wait to go back for more! And only $7 for both!

I'm not really sure why I gave this place 4 stars initially... It's a five star joint, f'real.

Ordered the Pandan Cake for a birthday and it was ehhh. Wouldn't order it again. They do have good Asian desserts but the Pandan Cake was a no-go. The cake was a bit dry, that's the first thing everyone at the party noticed. Also the pandan flavor was barely noticeable. The cream and coconut was good, not too sweet. I am still in search for an amazing Pandan cake after my go-to place stopped making them. Vinh Xuong bakery is a good place, my family and I have been going to both bakeries for years. Just won't be ordering cakes from here.

A cute Asian bakery/coffee shop. I dropped in to check it out after having lunch a few doors down. They had a nice variety of freshly made sweet and savory offerings. I settled on the sweet since I wanted dessert: two turnovers, one pineapple and one strawberry with cream cheese. Both were fresh and delicious, with tender flaky crusts. Then the savory caught my eye as I inched closer to the register: freshly prepared spring rolls. Chicken, shrimp, and vegetable. They looked yummy so I got the shrimp rolls thinking I'd have them for dinner. Well, I didn't eat them until the next day for lunch. Wish I'd eaten them fresh as they weren't that great after sitting in the fridge for 24 hours. Boo! Totally my fault though, not theirs. Lesson learned: eat freshly prepared spring rolls FRESH! I did notice that the shrimp (which were huge and sliced in half) weren't properly deveined. Not a huge deal depending on how you feel about deveining (necessary? not necessary? who cares?). Personally? I would have liked the shrimp deveined. But you know what? I ate those suckers anyway. Dunked those spring rolls in sweet and sour sauce and kept it movin' cuz I was hungry! They weren't half bad and I didn't die. Return visit planned? Yep, if I find myself in the neighborhood again, which is almost guaranteed since two of my favorite dim sum restaurants are close by. Next time I'll try one of the Bahn Mi sandwiches everyone's raving about. And I'll eat it fresh!

A great quiet little gem in southwest Denver! This is an amazing place to have a bahn mi and a Vietnamese coffee. All sorts of goodies abound, though my favorite go-to is the traditional bahn mi. The wonderful owners of this place modestly explained to myself and a friend how they house-make everything in their sandwiches, down to the locally sourced liver for the pate. The result is a perfect blend of texture and flavor. On top of that, this place is a wonderful coffee-shop. I have found that their coffee, Vietnamese iced coffee, and milk teas are all quite lovely. The decor is clean, contemporary, and inviting.

My pork belly sandwich was terrible. I love me some pork belly and I don't think this sandwich actually had that cut of meat. I conjecture that it was actually pork loin with a lot of wishful thinking thrown in. $5 for this one, what a rip-off compared to the others I tried. The BBQ pork sandwich was OK, the pork was pretty flavorless but the veggies pulled through and the sandwich was fine overall. $3 for this one. Good deal. The overall winner of our visit here was the grilled pork. Good flavor plus good veggies equals an awesome $3 sandwich experience. My almond cookie was fine but I'm not really into them. My can of Sunkist was excellent. The hot sauce bottle that was available was disgusting, the opening was covered in gross dried hot sauce. Big chunks of it. That takes what, 30 seconds for one of the employees to wipe off once a day? Or even once a month? Looking at this, it makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Speaking of the employees, you will never find a more wretched hive of laziness and inattentiveness than at this place. No smiles, no caring, no souls... organic automatons. Even at McDonald's they usually smile when they take your money to sell you swill. But it's hard to argue with a $3 sandwich that is likely tasty and decently proportioned. I'll be back for sure, but I'm bringing my own drink and hot sauce.

They have all kinds of awesome goodies! My first visit was today, and I was like a kid in a candy store. They have really great Banh Mi sandwiches! It's hard to beat these sandwiches, especially at these prices! Their veggies are fresh, the bread is perfect (flaky on the outside and soft on the inside), and the meat is tasty! They also have all kinds of steamed buns, breads and desserts (coconut flan, jellies, croissants, etc), I got a whole assortment of stuff and it was all really good. Not too sweet and again, fresh. I also had a strawberry smoothie, and it had a nice light taste, not too loaded with sugar. I'm definitely coming back since this is now on my go-to list! I wouldn't mind dining in next time either - the place was cool (and clean)!

Best banh mi sandwiches! My husband and I always order the grilled pork banh mi and we add some chili oil to give it a nice kick. The bread is baked fresh and very soft to eat. This bakery is more modernized compared to the original on Federal and has some table seating, bar stool/high boys and even two lounge chairs for coffee house style setting. I am hoping they start up a food truck. They would do so well in downtown Denver during lunch hour!!

The best bahn mi sandwich that I have had.... the french bread is so yummy, the special chili sauce is the perfect amount of spice and you can't go wrong with the pork, chicken, veggies and tofu filling. It's pretty remarkable how cheap it is for such a quality product!

First visit and blown away! Between two people, we ordered three Banh Mis: original, meatballs, and grilled pork. All of them were great! Bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. All the ingredients were fresh and well distributed within the roll. I can't ask for more. Original: Somewhat bland (but I had a couple bites after devouring the grilled pork banh mi) Grilled Pork: Flavorful and sweet (personal favorite of the three) Meatballs: Porky and sweet I was so excited, I told my friend that she needs to drive from Colorado Springs to try it out. It's a great place and am looking forward to revisit. Gosh, my mouth is watering while writing this review...

Decent banh mi. Neither bread or meat was warm. I didn't order a cold cut. Also the thai tea is poured from a bottle into another cup. Why should I pay for something that originally came from a bottle that cost $1 for 2.75 ??? Not as many options in treats like the original location. Nice ish people. Hated the thai tea rip off. Not coming back.

Love this place. The price is very reasonable. The facially hairy man I see there all the times is very friendly. The Banh Mi tastes great! I asked and the guy says that they make their own Pate'. Not sure about other ingredients, but I guess the Xa Xiu too. I took my friends there one day and they loved it. Will keep coming again.
