Cons: Slow Slow Service, terrible salsa, overcharged 3 times on my bill. They charged extra for salsa with my Chips and Salsa when I was just asking for what I was promised on the menu. They originally brought out Pico De Gallo and that is not salsa. Their salsa was an orange paste and didn't even resemble salsa. They then charged for extra cheese when I explicitly asked them for no cheese on the burger. So there's a charge to take an item off the order now? The service was so slow, I didn't want to wait another 20 min to straighten out the bill since we were late for the Rockies game. Told the waitress i get a free draft beer with entree and then a male server brings the bill out and of course charges me for the draft with no recollection of what I said. How am I getting worse service with 2 servers? I tell them to take the draft off again and then notice they overcharged me for other stuff but I didn't want to wait longer for them to come back again. They have the most ridiculous Dress code policy: no backwards facing hats, no large bags, no sleeveless shirts, no facial piercings for men, no large medallions or excessive jewelry. Parking can be really tough since this place is right across from Coors field. There's a pay lot right across the street, but even that tends to get filled up rather quickly. Pros: Amazing delicious and huge Mahi Mahi tacos, beautiful views of the city from the rooftop lounge, awesome house and techno Music from the live DJ's, large Cornhole and volleyball setup in the courtyard. It's a convenient place to hang out before, after, or during a Rockies game. I'd recommend the other rooftop bars next door Tavern or Jackson's over this place based on poor service and being overcharged although the food, decor, view, and vibe were good. Service was just so terrible and I hate being overcharged, especially for items I never even asked for.

We came here last night after the Broncos game. This was not my first time here but will definitely be the last. My friend came in from Vegas to celebrate my birthday with me. It was an entire fiasco in itself to get in since the bouncers pick and choose who they want to let in. Some people cut the line and the bouncers just watch while others are told to go to the back of the line or leave. We ask about bottle service and ordered two bottles. My friend gave Earl her card and I told him "Hey, she's my guest, please let me pay for this" his response was "yea, whatever" and he walked away. They were out of one of the bottles we wanted and we waited 20 minutes before the other bottle was brought out. Meanwhile, our waitress brought out shots for a group and put them ON OUR TABLE and served them before even bringing out our bottle. There were other comments made towards us that night as well but Earl's response to this? "This isn't Vegas"

Weirdest place I've ever been to... Not too many people in the bar after a Rockies game on a Friday night. After attending the game, my girlfriend and I get in line and try to enter, but the bouncer refuses to let me in because I was carrying a souvenir in a bag from the game. I told him that we just came from the game, but he still wouldn't let me in. My girlfriend had her purse, which was the same size, and they let her in. When I pointed this out, the bouncer unemphatically said "sorry bro."I tried to let my girlfriend carry the bag and walk in, but he refused to let us both in. I've seen other reviews of this place and its weird (and sometimes sexist) policies. Not too bothered though because I doubt this place will be in existence in a year or two though. It's located literally next door to Coors Field and it still can't seem to attract people. There are too many good bars in the area for people to waste their time at this amateur establishment. AVOID.

Viewhouse Eatery, Bar, & Rooftop is a two-story spacious playground of a bar that offers patrons a great view of the downtown Denver skyline. This was the only bar I seen in the area that had a doorman and security, complete with roped off entry lines. There wasn't a wait when we walked in, but then again it was only around 8:30PM on a Sunday. Still, Viewhouse was buzzing with people and a DJ was pumping out mostly EDM tunes. We went to the bar on the first floor and were served immediately. With beers in hand, we started to explore this trendy bar. Most people were in their 20s and 30s, so a young crowd. There's a large outside area with volleyball, corn hole, and cabanas for people getting service. We gravitated towards the balcony of the second floor and hung out there, mostly people watching and enjoying the scenic view of the city. Like most places in downtown Denver, parking is a bitch. There was a paid parking lot across the street and a couple metered spots out front. GOOD TO KNOW: There's a Yelp check-in offer for a free draft beer with any entree. Also, clean bathrooms! :) Viewhouse is a lively place that generates a lot of activity. I liked the upbeat energy of this bar and would recommend it as a spot to visit when bar hopping downtown. Great view! Food not so much. Ordered a stew soup, recieved broth ..really ???? Sent it back and manager would not comp for 2 pitas? Not a crowd I want to hang out with. Will not be going back!

Big place with an awesome rooftop but it gets super packed. The food is okay and the service is decent. It takes forever to get a drink and the crowd here is pretty douchey on the weekends, but it's a fun place to go to. I reserved the Living Room for a private birthday party. David was amazing at helping me plan and got everything set up for me. I was able to bring in my own treats and decorate the space. $500 minimum to reserve the area but beware there's a 20% gratuity/service fee automatically added to the bill, which sucked because we poured all our drinks all night long. Anyone who ordered drinks through the waitress had a 20% gratuity charge added to the bill. Most of the people in my party double tipped since they were unaware this was automatic. Next time we'll have them get drinks at the bar.

The Viewhouse offers a view and not much else. It makes for a great place to bring a significant other to break up with them. The startling mediocrity of the food will likely distract them from the emotional turmoil you're about to put them through. I got the Supreme Nachos. Calling them supreme is an offensive misuse of such an adjective and is demonstrative of a possible fundamental misunderstanding of the English language. The best I can say about them is that the cheese used was probably sourced locally from the dumpsters of Coors Field. Mmm nacho cheese and garbage juice.

The name of this place says it all... They've got a killer view of downtown Denver with their huge patio. This place has multiple levels and was very lively during my visit on a Friday night. It's what you make of it - whether you're looking for a chill spot to chat with friends, or get crazy on the dance floor. Also, the line to get in may seem long, but the bouncers and bartenders are quick and efficient.

No good. View is awesome but that's all that's going for this place. Bar is dirty, food wasn't that great, and the craft beer is served in plastic glasses. Wouldn't ever come back.

Our go-to bar in Denver. Found seating on the roof-top patio before a game, and could look out onto their downstairs field buzzing with people playing bags and milling around. This place is huge. It gets even more packed at night for the going-out crew. Service was quick. Bummed that there is no happy hour menu on game days but there IS a free beer with a Yelp Check-In so make sure you do that while it's still available. We ordered chicken strips and the beef sliders. Both were A+.

  • John A.

Honestly, this place is nothing special. Aside from its location by coors field and rooftop, I'm not a huge fan; however, I keep ending up here. Beer selection is average, food is subpar, and service & prices are not great. Cool view though.

Okay, so this place is full of yuppies, but it's pretty awesome. Our service was really good when we stopped in to share some appetizers and drinks before heading over to the Marquis for a show on Friday night. The table next to us was full of complainers and the waitress gave them our spinach dip even though we ordered ours first and the manager was out checking on them a few times. My friends and I just made fun of them, but pretentious people hang out here, so beware. I had the perfect margarita and it was quite good. I'd definitely order it again. We also had the spinach dip, which was good because it was served in cast-iron and had crunchy bits. We also shared steak tacos, which were heavenly. But, the best thing we had was the prosciutto mozzarella sticks. Hot damn. Those were so good. The one thing I really didn't like about this place was the bathroom. I always feel really awkward and uncomfortable when there's a bathroom attendant, plus half of the toilets were out of order. But, I will be back!

Pretty cool place. Was hear for the Kentucky Derby Party. Food isn't as bad as people say although I haven't tried the whole menu. Drink were OK. All in all its a great place to meet people and have a chill time

This place has the slowest service in the history of mankind. The set up is pretty cool and the lawn activities are expansive, but it'll take ten years to get a drink up in here. Even if you meander over to the bar, you'll be waiting on that drink. You'll feel like Rip Van Winkle waiting for a damn drink. I've only hung out on the rooftop, so maybe service is quicker on the bottom. Whatever the case, the staff could use some major improvement. They're either bullshitting with each other, looking at their phones, or staring off into space instead of slinging drinks. The food is not spectacular, but the sky high prices are. The quality nor taste warrants the prices here. Parking is a biznatch, but that's usual for LoDo. There's a pay lot right across the street, but even that tends to get filled up rather quickly.

This place is really cool. Drinks and vibe are awesome!!! They have a roof top (obviously - in the name) and they have this cool outdoor space with cabanas, corn hole and volleyball. Food was just okay... Hummus was not good and the wings had good flavor but needed more cook.

    (3)
  • Katie W.

This bar has such a fun vibe. The lawn sports were entertaining and - as advertised - the views were great. We came to just grab beers and hang out for awhile, so had no problems with service. The wings were delicious and the beers were cold, and the staff was really friendly! Would come back for sure.

Came here a week or so ago with a few friends to just grab some drinks and a bite to eat. Had heard some good things from friends so felt that it would be a safe bet. Could not have been more surprised with our experience however. Had problems with service both during our time there and after. My experience atleast has changed my opinion if I will ever go again since there are plenty of other rooftops to try. The first issue we had was asking for drinks from the wait staff. We ordered a few beers and our wait staff explicitly said she would be bringing us waters. Beers come a few minutes later, no waters. So when she comes back to take our order we place the order and ask for some waters. Takes about 30 minutes for the food, still no waters. Ask again and put in some more beer orders. Beers come out, still no waters. I understand that water isn't a money maker, but if you explicitly say you will bring them, and we ask a few times for it we probably should get some waters. Second issue is that one of the cards was run on a completely random order that wasn't ours. When we noticed the issue we called back to ask for an explanation and to get a refund. We were told we would be called back that afternoon, but we never got a call. Called the next day and left a message to be called back. No response. Called the next day and the same thing. After around 4-5 days of calling and asking to speak with the manager we were finally given to someone who said they didn't know what we were talking about but would just refund it anyway. While the problem eventually got resolved, the experience and pain afterwards was not worth me giving them any more of my time or money.

Why. Why. Why do you kick us out 30 minutes before you close? I bought a drink at 1:15 to sip for 45 minutes and got kicked out at 1:30. That's bullshit.

We had a great meal at the viewhouse. The fries were great and Padre poured some nice beverages. This place has one of the best views in downtown Denver. Go Rockies

Cool spot for a drink and meal. Drinks might be a bit overpriced, but the food is good and reasonable. Great people watching, too. Plus, there was some kind of corn hole competition going on, which was fun to watch. Side note on drinks- don't get the margarita from the blender, it's super sweet (too sweet for a marg) and has little to no tequila in it. My mojito was tasty and well made, though.

Came on a Sunday night and the scene was actually pretty busy! It was a fun bae, we played cornhole and volleyball. It had a type of scene for all types of people. We got a vodka sour and a shock top, at $4.50 and $5 so price was decent. The bartender was super friendly, and ended up giving us shots on the house for being some of his last customers! Definitely will be coming back in the future, probably on a Friday/Saturday so check out the view. Also seems like a great place to come for happy hour.

  • Nick R.

Just okay. As a club manager and huge fan of bottle service their menu was okay. Good bottle service prices. Few bottle service menu mistakes management should take a look at. Watching management and security guards making fun of a drunk guy getting kicked out in front of other patrons was a added bonus. Slightly unprofessional

Wow, figured I'd come here do just drink a couple beers (which I did. And I love the white rascals). Got hungry, no happy hour on game days, but no problem. Settled on the blackened chicken club with a side of Mac and cheese. Man I was blown away!! While the Mac and cheese tasted above expectations, it was truely that sandwitch with put my experience over the top. Every bite was delicious! Juicy chicken, melted cheese, avacado, mayo, and tomatoes all joined up perfectly for what I can possible list as my newest favorite sandwitch. I left feeling full, yet somehow feeling hungry for more. Weird... Great experience, friendly staff (my bartender was helping me out constantly when I needed it). Overall, great dining experience! When you go in hungry, and leave hungry, yet full, you know it was special. Keep up the great work guys!

This was THE WORST experience I have EVER had at a bar or restaurant. First of all, no one greeted us to take our order at our table for 15 minutes. Then, the waitress who did come over was incredibly incompetent and definitely drunk and/or high. We put in our beer order and twenty minutes later...nothing. So we flagged someone else and they apologized and gave us a new waitress and she got our drinks (wrong size though). Then the drunk waitress came back and she was really angry that another waitress took our order. She also tried to bring us stuff we didn't order, like she had no idea what she was doing. Needless to say, both waitresses were trying (ish) to help while being really passive aggressive to the other but they were doing it through us. Our food took 40 minutes to come out and was cold and disgusting by the time we got it. Finally we got our check (after having to talk to both waitresses) and we just paid cash plus a generous tip and left. Then went back to my bank account a few days later to find out my CREDIT CARD that they had been "holding" was charged some obscure amount. I've tried calling the restaurant multiple times and no one will return my calls. I will NEVER be going back and I would encourage you to take your business elsewhere. There are a lot of cool taverns and bars right around Coors Field that can actually handle themselves.

This place was just OK for me. It was very crowded on a Friday afternoon while the Rockies were playing. We didn't find seating at the roof top so we had to settle for a seat indoors downstairs next to a couple with a loud crying baby. Isn't this a bar? Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We didn't stay to watch the entire game, we left after we finished our food. I do suggest you have to VW lemonade! Spiked with vodka...It was so refreshing and gave me a quick buzz.

Good location, great views (as the name would imply) and the rooftop bartenders are pretty cool but the bouncers are off the charts insane jerks. I was walking by on Sunday and watched the biggest one turn away a family with a little boy who had a service dog. He was sooo damn rude to them. Treated them like they were second-class citizens. Major rudeness like I haven't seen in a long time. Not only was his behavior ignorant, it was illegal. Whomever trained this brute needs to make sure the security staff knows the law. I can't ever give them my business again after witnessing this incident.

I had heard this place gets douchey, but I thought I'd get here early enough to avoid that. Nope. The door guy let me know right away that everyone here sucks. How did he do that you might ask? We were informed right away we couldn't bring in an 'outside drink' even if it is water. We chug the water, and proceed to enter after getting carded. Finishing the water wasn't enough though. I was told I couldn't enter even with the empty bottle... Empty bottle.....I put up a small stink about why I wasn't able to enter with an empty bottle but just threw it out. Now I have no refillable container to drink water in....looked around the place for a good spot and found none, and the place felt like a fucking douchebag convention. Can't stomach this place, even while high and buzzed.

Been here for drinks and a night out. Fun time. Great rooftop. Later into the night it can get rowdy but a good time. Drink prices aren't too bad. Good for Sunday funday. Football games are on, games are out on the patio downstairs, mainly cornhole. I had the breakfast burrito, which was tastey. Not authentic but good for what it was. The original Moscow mule is also worthwhile.

Great place to do pre-game before a Rockies game. Enjoyed a couple of beers on the roof top along with our short lunch. The tapas tacos were great - we had mahi mahi version. The nachos were very good with the add on chicken. Lots of toppings and cheese all the way to the bottom. Great service and we enjoyed the mist to counter balance the heat and sun. Service was good - but the side salads were sub par - warm and wilted. But like I said , we were drinking beer in the sun, how bad could it be.

I really do like this place. Only downside for me is that once it's evening, it's nearly impossible to talk to the people you're with because the music is so loud. Otherwise, went for a few drinks and ended up staying for ladies night. Ladies night includes a screening of a chick flick and free drinks from 9-12 which is sort of ridiculous. Free liquor is dangerous :) I had a mishap with my order and the staff quickly remade my dish and were super attentive. I was really impressed. Definitely plan on going back for another ladies night!

God awful establishment. Prepaid $60 on NYE to get fast track access to the bar. Myself and my date showed up promptly at 9pm only to see a line stretching around the block. The bouncer said it was a 2 hour long line. The idiots that run this place thought it would be a good idea to have those who paid in advance wait in line with those who were paying at the door, while all the other bars (Lodo, Tavern, etc) had separate lines for those who prepaid. Needless to say we didn't get in nor were the ladies we were with willing to wait in 30 degree weather for that long. I really liked this place until this happened. I attempted to get my money back and never received a response. Those looking to go here for NYE, look somewhere else.

I'm too old for this place! Ventured in with my sister-in-law for her birthday and I really enjoyed the pre-sunset crowd, but as soon as it got dark I felt out of my element. Most everyone seems to be in that 22-25 recent college grad age range, which means it's certainly a lively place, but also the kind of place where I feel like you're going to get barfed on in the bathrooms. Age aside, the staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive to us while we were there and the rooftop really is pretty spectacular. We had a nearly unobstructed view of a gorgeous sunset while we were there. I could see the lawn games being fun during the weekend brunch hours, but I can't say that I'd plan to go back for a reason other than that. I'd have given two stars if it weren't for the great sunset and rooftop patio

You can't screw up a bar with an approach like this: a concept lounge in a beautiful old brick building in the heart of LoDo right across from Coors Field. Even for those of us who despise sunlight with a fanatical passion, the roof is worth grabbing a pair of shades for. Pros: It has a lot going for it besides the location, the layout is cool (although the roof is where it's at), the menu is creative and the food well-executed (the sliders and the nachos were our favorites), and the beer selection is respectable. Maybes: The beer selection may be respectable, but, like so many in trendy hipster-choked spots, it in turn respects hops WAY too much. Enough pale ales already, let's get some more amber and darker ales in there, maybe a few blondes and wheats! The service was sweet and friendly, but plodding and stony at times. Cons: Upkeep! Especially on the roof! They're in a cherry location, but it means nothing if their furniture goes to waste. Rickety tables, weathered tables and chairs, etc etc. If they stay on top of that and keeping cracking the whip on server speed they'll be hotter than the cherry on a tourist's Thai stick.

Oh Viewhouse. Most likely if you live in Denver or the surrounding areas you have been here. Most recently, I was here for the Kentucky Derby/Fight Night. It is a big bar, with a very cool roof top with a great view of Coors Field and an even better lower outdoor area. The Sunday Fundays are definitely the highlight of this bar. They set up a bunch of games and sometimes have DJs flooding your eardrums all day. Even if you aren't into "bro" bars I think you will enjoy this. Cons: -I don't know what it is, but the crowd here has NEVER been my cup of tea. I like to go out and have fun with the wildest of the wildest, but there is always a strange crowd here. Fights break out, creepers creep, girls push. One of my friends *Cough cough- a fellow Elite Yelper* actually got pushed down the stairs once and they are metal! Much more decent crowd at Blake Street, even the Tavern. -Prices here suck! Last Saturday I bought 3 Cinnamon Toast Crunches (the shot haha) and it was $24 before tip. Ridiculous. This is Denver not Vegas! - It gets WAY too crowded. Sometimes you can't even move it's so packed. The lines for the bathrooms are always insane. Again, this is just Denver... Viewhouse shouldn't be first on your list for a night out but if you feel like hanging with a big crowd and want a cool view, check it out.

I do not know where to even begin with this place. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a bar. We walked up here about 11p with friends from Denver, being from Las Vegas I was excited about this place being busy and not. Dive bar. We went up to the host to see if they had any tables/cabanas available. Which they did I looked at the prices for bottles and was like yes! I'll take it. Was seated at a Cabana and then moved upstairs to the patio! Awesome loved the view. At the beginning of any table service you give your credit card and ID to the waitress to hold until you pay your tab. Which was standard also in Vegas. I had asked the waitress several times to close me out, once of my friends was a little to drunk at this point. Kept asking her and never got them back. We had to leave. The next morning I called about 4-5 times speaking with Heather and Ed about getting my belonging back. Well after several hours of "searching" and asking my waitress where my things have been placed.......Nothing. Lost gone. At this point I am in a panic because I have to get on a plane in 24 hours... BEST PART: My last conversation with heather went something like this: Heather: we lose things like this all the time. Me: YOU WHAT?! The fact that she stated they lose credit cards and IDs all the time is completely unprofessional and awful! Sweetie in Vegas that would be manager and waitress FIRED! Unbelievable. After contacting the manager Phil via email I am on day 3 of waiting for a response..... Don't go here if you want your ID or CC stolen/lost by the staff.

If I had a choice, I would not come back here. I had the chicken tenders, they were fine. The service was absolutely horrible, which makes no sense because there were maybe 3 other tables of people in there. Several of the wait staff walked by, made eye contact, and then were never seen again. Awkward. It also took almost 15 minutes to get a draft beer. I am probably just not cool enough to be here?

If you're going to charge $8.25 for a Bloody Mary, you should not serve it in a chipped plastic cup. The same goes for your draft beer. The food was good but nothing spectacular.

This is a truly wonderful spot when you're in the mood to party. Floor upon floor of drunk rooms - it's definitely a party bar. When I'm the hunt to find a lot of people dancing and taking shots is goldschlager - this is tje place to go. I actually really do appreciate it for it's insanely large facilities, their expansive lawn complete with washers, and ability to accommodate that amount if people all at once. I do. I really do. I also do, however, appreciate a good meal. And this definitely under the place you'll don't it. To be fair - they do not advertise as a fine dining establishment, but more of an awesome hangout for happy hour and fun, which it is. The patio is huge and overlooks all of Denver. Their food isn't publicized and fine dining , but I will say my chickened wings were not bad. Just different and baked in any other batter I've ever tried. They ere also very prompt with orders amidst the crazy Saturday night crowd surrounding them. I'm not sure about returning but know if I ever do..it will be a good time

4 of us came here before a rockies game, had 1 beer and left. The amount of fruit flies around the bar made us feel like we were camping next to a swamp. They obviously don't clean or they would not be an issue. Everyone at the bar swatted them the whole time we were here.

What a treat! The view was lovely!! And the food, delicious. I had the southwest burger and husband had the Cali burger. It needed some extra guacamole, but after that, yum! The lil smokies on the kids menu were really good too. Comes with a cheese sauce that I stole from my 5 year old for my fries. ;) waitresses were great and the place was just lovely.

    (5)
  • Heather C.

The food and service here aren't very good. Last time I came here I ordered their southwest chicken salad and the chicken was so "blackened" it was burnt. All the ingredients were at the very bottom of the salad too. It might have been ok if the chicken didn't make everything else terrible because of the burnt taste. We also ordered a side of fries that they didn't bring out until we were literally signing the check. It shouldn't be hard to get good service, good drinks and good food during happy hour.

Here is a happy email that I sent to the manager of the Viewhouse just after our company's event on Friday, July 17, 2015 and I mean every word of it : I wanted to thank you for putting on a good event for our Swiftpage team! Your servers were extraordinary in their service to our group. They were dedicated and quick! What a great venue!!! Everything was perfect! The food was excellent - tasty and well cooked. For example, potato salad is not a favorite of foods with my coworker, Jeremiah and I, but you guys prepared it soooo well that we thought that was the best part of our meals. All of the food was delicious! Corn on the cob...all of the meats. Delicious! The games were fun. Volleyball, Connect 4, cornholes. We had a great time! I thought most party-goers would have left by 2pm, but we still had a large audience by 4pm. Thanks to your staff and you for the hard work! I would be more than happy to send a good review to advertise to potential customers. Please name the website or some other avenue and I will write up a letter/email/review of appreciation of your service to our company.

Can be a fun bar during the day if you go up to the bar and get your own drinks. I would never trust the servers to order food/drinks there. Have given this place 3 chances and Ive had constantly bad service. Awesome place treated as a bar, not so awesome for dining.

Wellll. Let me start off with the good things.. The location. Awesome! The option to be indoors or outdoors also awesome! TVs are everywhere which is also a big plus. Bad things: waitress forgot to put in our order (or so it seems) took an hour to get an order of hummus and regular buffalo wings...it gets even worse...once we notified a manager of waiting an hour they finally send it out (which is good) BUT wings had hair in the sauce stuck onto the wings. Yuck! Luckily the manager took care of our wings and hummus. However still a terrible first experience.

Went here last night, the bartender on the rooftop was great, but he seemed drunk because he had to ask us what we ordered literally 3 different times. My boyfriend also thinks he lost his wallet here, so we called today leaving his name and number expecting them to call us back. And they didn't. So I called again tonight, and asked about the wallet AGAIN, and have now been ON HOLD FOR 55 MINUTES!!!! I'm still on hold while I'm writing this review. I have even called from a separate phone just to make sure I wasn't forgotten about....and no one has answered. What kind of fancy establishment puts someone on hold FOR AN HOUR?! Apparently efficient customer service doesn't apply to this business.

If you like to pay ahead of time for a 4 course meal, eat while hundreds of college age people surround you, bumping into you, setting their dirty glasses on your dinner table, unable to talk to your tiny table of 4, having a heat lamp twice almost fall onto your table, this is the place for you. We were in town from Austin, Texas and I cannot believe how horrible of a NYE place this was. We ended up walking out before we got our full meal and left just our waitress a tip. Our waitress was good, however everything else was just horrible. Never again NYE in Denver at this place.

I've been here a few time at night when the place is strictly a bar. I can't write much about it because, let's be honest, I don't remember much. But, I recently went here for my sister's birthday dinner during a much more modest 6pm. We made a reservation ahead of time because we had a fairly large group of 30 people. They were easily able to accommodate us on the rooftop. Service was good. I wished it was better, but what can you expect with a group of 30 people. I ordered the beef sliders with egg, which came with a side of fries. It was definitely good eats. The egg was perfectly cooked and the yolk was still runny when you bite into the slider. I shared with my sister who got the shrimp and salmon pasta dish. I tried the same dish at their other location in DTC and they weren't consistent. While the pasta dish at this location was good, the other one was definitely better. Needless to say, I had high hopes and was a little disappointed. We also happened to come on ladies night where they projected Legally Blonde on their "lawn" area. They had chairs and blankets set up for guests to watch. Anyhow, Viewhouse is a pretty neat place to eat if you're looking for a good view with your meal and a fun atmosphere.

This is like a grown-people circus. Or a frat house for college graduates. Go to the rooftop area and just look down at all the people getting wasted, making questionable decisions, and playing games, and it starts resembling the fun center you take toddlers to. I really don't mind all of that, so that's not the reason for the two stars though. It's the wack as fack drink I got that came out tasting like water with some soda added. I told the bartender the drink was weak as hell and watery---a hint to throw some more booze in there--- and she said I'd have to pay for more. Booooo. I'd have ordered a beer, my usual drink, but the beer selection here is just like at a frat party, Bud and Coors galore. Then there's the shitty line I had to stand in just to get into the place despite the fact that there's a ton of room all over the place (the space is massive) and while I was standing in line dude in front of me decides to piss himself. Yep. Dude pissed himself waiting in line. That was a first for me. Nowhere in no place I've ever been have I seen such absurdity. The best part? Dude still went in the party WITH HIS GIRL!!! I've seen it all folks.

I went to the Viewhouse for lunch a few weeks ago and was a bit disappointed in my experience. The staff was friendly enough, but the service was a bit slow, even though our area was relatively empty. I ordered the prosciutto mozzarella sticks and a bowl of rosemary chicken soup. I was excited to try the mozzarella sticks, but was underwhelmed. They were extremely salty, which I do understand comes from mixing the saltiness of cheese with a cured meat, but I did not taste the prosciutto beyond it's saltiness. Like me, my friends found their food fine, but not spectacular. I also found their menu to be slightly overpriced. The mozzarella sticks were 4 for $9 and the soup was $5 for a cup. Overall, Viewhouse was fine. It is a convenient place to eat if you are already downtown or going to see a game at Coors Field, but to me, it is not worth the hassle of finding parking downtown unless you have another reason to be downtown.

Had the absolute worst experience at this place. First, walk into the front bar and try to grab a drink... was greeted by the rudest shrew of a bartender. I wish I would have known her name so I could mention her in this review. She had dark brown hair that's as much as I remember. After grabbing a watered down vodka tonic, I continued to mosey to a different part of the establishment so myself and friends could enjoy ourselves. The outside area did have a super fun setup. People were playing volleyball and corn hole so we decided to go sit outside and wait for an available corn hole. We wanted to order some snacks and after 15 minutes of waiting, we were finally greeted by a server. I decided I needed a refill and ordered another vodka tonic. At that time, we also order prosciutto mozzarella sticks and steak nachos. The mozzarella sticks were delicious but the steak nachos could have been much better. After playing a few rounds of corn hole, we decided we had enough of this disgusting pathetic excuse of a restaurant and asked for our checks. Our server, I believe her name was Elyse, split up our checks and I noticed I was charged more for a vodka drink than the time before. I asked her why this was and she explained that their well was Sky vodka. I questioned her because the bartender at the front bar did not pour me Sky vodka nor charged me as much. I felt as if I was being ripped off but as soon as I started questioning, our server started giving us attitude, as if we as customers were wrong. At this point, we just wanted to get out of this hell hole of an establishment and move on with our night. I have never been treated so terribly at any type of bar restaurant in my life. After reading some of the other reviews, this does not come as any type of surprise. Everyone who works at this bar seems like they hate their lives. I was extremely displeased with my experience. This place is GARBAGE!

I won't go into great detail about this place because it's just got a lot going on. There is a large turf area for bags or cornhole, there is a dance floor, there is a roof deck and inside seating areas as well. It seems to be a LoDo staple so it will be a good place to check out if you're going out on the town and looking for a bunch of people partying. It can be a bit grimy and have shitty service at times, but again if you're just looking to party, by all means come check this place out. My favorite thing about this bar is the roof deck. There is a partially covered portion and a completely uncovered portion, where you can actually watch games from. It's tough to find too many spots that have a place you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather, plus watch football on Saturdays and Sundays. And because it is mostly known for it's late night activities it isn't usually too obnoxious until the later afternoon games on Saturday. So, if it's too nice outside to sit inside and watch the game, but the game in question is too important to miss, I would come here.

Before penning this review I read through the other reviews and was happy to discover my impression of the ViewHouse is not unique. Its primary purpose is to separate the Young & Stupid from their cash. This is where the cast members of Jersey Shore and Real World go to die. It is a very attractive building, though not well laid out for watching sports. The food is mediocre and over priced - but I don't think any of the regulars go to eat. No bar in Denver should offer little other than megaswill beers on draft. And no one should still be drinking them. The drinks are waaaay over priced. It tells me all I need to know about a bar and its clientele when they feel the need to keep an armed cop on duty. Judging by the comments of others on here and my survey of the crowd this is a good place to get knifed or at least beat up. If you are twenty-five, attending a "college" that advertises on late night TV, have a tanning salon lifetime membership and buy your make-up in bulk, are from LA or Dallas, this is the place for you. Otherwise I advise folks to steer clear.

TO bad we can't give zero star reviews!!! DENIED ENTRY for having a tattoo, on my shoulder, wearing a t-shirt, that's barely visible. Go figure the tattoo is of a JEEP and I brought a crew of hungry mechanics to feed. Discrimination aside. This place seems to suck even from the outside. We petitioned a few patrons leaving about their experiences and NONE we're positive. We we're happy to take our hard earned dollars elsewhere, since View House has no interest in money, only parties and fights. Maybe the cops will kill someone in here and it will be "Plutod" back to where it belongs. I've lived in Denver my entire life, I have never, ever been ashamed of my home town, but F*CK this place. BTW:: DRESS CODE: DOUCHE

Service was awesome. Patty was great. Tomato bisque and nachos were good but not the best. Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had!! Burgers were amazing too and the artichoke dip!!! Definitely recommend burgers and Mac. I would totally come back here again. Great for groups. A lot of fun and great atmosphere.

This review is based off the nightlife, so I'm not too sure about the food or whatnot. This place was a lot of fun! We went out for a friends birthday, and we got to dance and just have a really good time. The only thing I have a comment on is that one of the bartenders (now I know she was busy) really didn't respond to me.. After flirting with some guys, she made eye contact with me and rushed through my order, when I had another girl who was super cool and served me well. It's nothing to inhibit the review though!! The music was awesome to my liking and just a really cool vibe! Keep it up guys!! Also, one more thing... I've noticed a lot of people say that their dress code is "strict"... If you think it is, don't ever go to vegas then. Baseball caps and tennis shoes with girls in jean shorts and regular sandals is not strict. Just don't wear your cap backwards! Easy enough! ;)

Seems like it would be a nice place to drink and play yard games. Don't eat inside the bar area. Not busy, but took 20 min to take our order. The table next to us that was sat at the same time ordered quickly, but didn't receive their food until about 10 min after us and two other tables that walked in after us. Saw the waitress literally 3 times. After hailing her twice, she stopped and incredulously asked if we needed her. After explaining that we wanted our checks, she asked if I was mad at her. No service is better than incredulous service. If it wasn't a matter of principle, she would have received nothing. A few other things, chicken was left off of one of the salads, no water, no ask on beer refills (but she'd actually have to be present to make that happen), so definitely a lot of front to back of house problems with this one.

I keep coming to this bar, hoping that the previous time was just an "off day" for the staff. But no, EVERY time I have come to this place we have received terrible service. First off, unless you are waving a giant flag in the air or shooting flares into the sky, good luck getting served. 10-30 minutes is the average wait time for a drink ($4.75 Coors Lights, what a deal!!) and they are also extremely rude once it is your turn (which can be understandable as there are a high percentage of douchebags in LoDo). We came here to watch the Rockies game that is happening literally next door, and asked nicely for the game to be put on one of the 3 televisions behind the bar, one of which is showing bass fishing on a screen with intermittent picture that is also obstructed by towers of plastic cups on the bar. It's been 30 min and now, nothing. On top of which the man we asked fed us some BS that all 3 televisions are "connected" so they can't change it, yet they are all playing different channels. This place is just awful, save your money and go to Brothers or LoDos.

I personally hate viewhouse. The crowd is all out of college people or old men trying to get frisky with younger women. The service here is downright awful at night and it isn't worth the wait. There are tons of other better bars in Denver that I would rather go to. Numerous times the police have had to be called due to fights. The amenities are not cleaned well or often, there is usually vomit somewhere in the vicinity.

Where do I begin. On a Wednesday night it wasn't busy at all, about 25 people at almost 10:00pm. We waited 15 minutes to even be noticed as a table of 4. The staff acts like they are better than their jobs. I will say this the food came out fast. My brother in law and I ordered chicken strips- they had no flavor at all. The breading wasn't seasoned, and it cut the roof of our mouth like captain crunch. Also- the price points at this place are way too high. We went across the street got a beer and a shot of patron for 5.50. Also it smells like shit on the first level. Gross. Such a beautiful bar, it's a shame to waste such a space. If I was a drunk underage kid I would be ok with it. NEVER EVER GOING BACK.

Excellent time here. The beer was cold, staff was friendly, and the food was very good! We were there on a afternoon and found it very appealing. I would recommend the wings and mozzarella sticks for snacks!

I've been here a lot mostly at night looking for a cool place to have a drink with my friends. But I came here in the day at the viewhouse to watch the stanley cup playoffs and no one came to help me and my friend. Sat here for half an hour without being served while it wasn't busy and the waitresses were playing basketball outside. They don't care about anyone in the bar just if you're giving them money. They're the worst people in the worst bar in Denver. I don't recommend it.

So I don't often hang out at bars, and fully recognize I'm not representative of the typical clientele here. My husband and I stopped by a few months ago. It was really late and we were almost the only people there. We were impressed by the roof top patio, and thought the volleyball/ corn hole/giant jenga area looked like fun! We came back with a few friends on a hot, sunny Sunday afternoon, during the World Cup. First I'll start with the positives. The Viewhouse is pretty clean, especially given how crowded it was. My husband and I got there really early and hung out upstairs on an outdoor sectional before our friends joined us. The waitresses were fairly attentive, and friendly without being overbearing. The music was pretty quiet, and the TV was muted, so we could easily have a conversation. I was especially thankful for this since the speakers were right next to our seating area. Now the negatives; once we went downstairs the crowd was louder and larger. The different games were so close together and close to the seating areas, we had to constantly watch to avoid getting hit by an object. The sunrise mimosas we ordered didn't taste very good, they weren't awful either, but there was a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Finally, the bar ran out of cherries (for the Old Fashioned). Obviously a very popular place, I just tend to like it a bit more laid back.

Cool place to come and kick back with friends. Volleyball and tables and cabanas outside to sit down and relax with your friends and drinks if you want. Music is always playing its definitely fun. Music wasn't the best mixed last time I was there, but its always fun when we go.

This place would be great if you were in college, 20 something, or a past MTV reality tv personality looking for a come back. It was packed with douche bags looking for a fight, and the drinks were over priced, weak, and poorly mixed. They only decent part was the variety of music the dj played.

Everything about this place sounds great on paper: - View of the Denver skyline? You bet, one of the best. - Outdoor and open air seating to enjoy our great weather? Lots of it. - Expansive menu with tasty sounding options? Indeed they do. - Near Coors Field for pre-game noms? Check. Viewhouse delivers on these items. Sadly, I'm not the only one that thinks this sounds good, and they were mostly of the variety I would label as fratty. This led to slow service throughout our visit, and perhaps explains the mixup that happened with my order (honestly, they need to have more staff on-hand). When the food came, they brought me the wrong waffle, as it was put in the system wrong. It took a while to get the right meal out to me, so I had to watch everyone else eat, but they did finally make it right and were quite apologetic about it. I will say the cornbread waffle with fried chicken breast was solid, and the chicken salad my gf had and the fish and chips my friend had both looked fantastic. Despite the mixup, the waitress got everything right, including the Yelp check-in deal for a free Moscow Mule, which was pretty good. Doubt I'd actually buy a drink here since the prices are crazy high, but the food was good. The food and view is what might have me back someday, as the crowd and slow service would not.

I really wanted to like this place but not so sure... I am looking for a venue for a 80 person party this summer and wanted to check out the View House. I also have a team that plans corporate events so always eager to find a new place. With its great rooftop deck, I thought it could be great so I went today to try some food and check it out. I really like the interior decor and love the lawn game area. Very relaxed and fun. The rooftop is very nice and it would be great for a private party. I got to the rooftop for a late lunch and aside from the ambiance, I have mixed feelings. The server was very nice but wow- it took so long to get drinks. I ordered the bottomless mimosas- I drank my first in about 10 minutes and they promptly removed the glass. Then waited and waited... Asked twice for a refill and waited some more. About 60+ minutes later, after all the food is gone, a lukewarm mimosa hits my table, Right as we were leaving. My companion had water that was never refilled. I didn't even get water so most of the meal we were both parched. We had to ask for plates, had to grab our own menus because no one brought them to us, and we waited a long time on the waiter despite the fact it was not that busy. Again the staff was nice, but seemed disorganized. Coincidentally, the food came out really fast! The food was decent. The prosciutto wrapped cheese sticks were okay- but you barely taste the beautiful prosciutto. The tuna tataki was actually refreshing and quite nice- I would definitely order that again. The tomato bisque was tasty and the chicken/waffles were average. Overall it was a step up from typical bar food but I think you come here more for the atmosphere than the food. I think it has some things going for it but the staff needs help on the customer service side. I may try this place again to see if my first impression was off.

They have mindless staff roaming around doing who knows what. Especially when the low quality, non-educated bouncers have nothing else better to do than kick people out of the bar randomly. Hey Viewhouse, yeah talking to you. If there is an epic boxing match taking place and you can't crowd control in the middle of downtown Denver, then ship out to another city who will care for the mindless staff and low quality customer service that you so kindly provide.

I love this place, as long as I come here with a group. It's a little too meat market-y otherwise. They have at least 7 types of mules, and a solid beer selection. (I can't speak to the food.) The games in the yard are super fun, but don't plan to play at night - the staff puts them away around the time the sun goes down. The rooftop is *very* similar to the Tavern across the street - definitely a fun place to hang out in the summer.

Our server was very rude and even returned a portion of our tip ( a few quarters and dimes) and told my husband and I that she "didn't feel like carrying it around". I have never been to a restaurant where a server would intentionally go out of their way to embarrass a paying customer. I contacted the manager and gave my address as she said she would send a gift card. After waiting 2 1/2 months I wrote a negative review. I was then contacted by the owner who ensured he would send the gift card the manager never sent. The owner did not follow through. Very poor customer service. I posted a pic of the owners response to me ensuring he would follow through, and he of course, did not.

I wanted to give Viewhouse a second chance after receiving apologetic feedback on here from management after my first poor experience. Needless to say, I was incredibly disappointed upon my return. I had brought a group of girlfriends here last weekend who were visiting from out of town and had heard so many good things. We all stopped at the bathroom first before grabbing drinks and there was a fight that broke out between the two ladies bathroom attendants working there. Water sprayed all over our entire group while we were washing our hands at the sinks, and we had to dry off from being right in the midst of the brawl. We then headed upstairs to the rooftop bar and ordered drinks. As we were standing at the bar looking for a table, we witnessed another fight break out on the patio between two guys which took around six security guards to break up. My girlfriends and I had had enough at this point and did not feel safe so we left. As we were leaving, we noticed there was a dress code posted outside, but from the clientele we saw inside, it was not being enforced whatsoever. I am sorry to say that Viewhouse has lost my business for good after this visit.

Shame on you!! I have been here before with some friends and I am in shock of your dress code!! I am tattooed and was never kicked out or told not to come in, but you discriminate against others with tattoos. That is discrimination at its finest! Your service is slow, the atmosphere was okay until you took away the seating outside. and honestly I felt like I was surrounding by douchey collage frat boys. I will definitely not return and make sure everyone knows how segregate you all are!

Best sports bar I have ever been to! The size of this place with indoor seating, rooftop tables and outside cabana type spots was fun. The food was great(crab cakes eggs benedict), the drinks were flowing, but the atmosphere and large adult size tailgate games were the icing on the cake! Games like beer pong, connect four were fun. Corn hole games, volleyball a dunk tank all made our Brewers/Rockies pre-game a great experience. I would have given a 5 star and stayed here longer but there were too many unsupervised kids running around making if feel like a gym nite.

  • Lou P.

Ate here for the first time recently. Food was great and the view was quite good. However, mid-meal, the wind blew up and menus, napkins, etc., went flying. It was a little like camping for a bit. The staff was friendly and knew the menu well. The food was well prepared, fresh and served quickly. This place is cavernous and I assume they live for Rockies games.

  • Kennen M.

Yes, the bar is new, modern, large and offers a lawn and a rooftop. Those are nice amenities but not enough for me to keep coming back. Upon walking in, the boy and I noticed that most every male patron looked similar and dressed in very similar attire - caucasian men with close cut hair cuts, slacks and button dress shirts with a light check pattern. Our server (Jesse?) was the best part of our Viewhouse experience. He was friendly, non-douchey, efficient and was able to get the game on the tv we wanted. The food offered in the happy hour menu was not worth the trip. We had the lackluster ribs that was oddly topped with pretzels and the weakest excuse of nachos that was a plate of thin, cardboard tasting chips barely topped with any nacho ingredients. We were hungry but not interested enough to finish these dishes or order something else. The beer special would be a decent deal if they offered a better beer selection or let alone, offer beer that is brewed in the state.

Visiting from Los Angeles for a conference with a girlfriend slash colleague, we were looking for a chill yet nice ambiance with great drinks for dinner and lounging. We had the artichoke dip, French onion soup, smokey sliders (with an amazing pretzel bun), and ahi tuna sandwich and were blown away by the quality of food. We're foodies so we tend to judge harshly but a rooftop +fire pit + great service + amazing drinks +amazing food = time and money well spent! Would highly recommend this place

We came here on a Thursday night and my friend was stopped at the door because the bouncer didn't think it her ID was actually hers. It was her ID! Our whole group is well over the legal drinking age! I've seen so many girls get in with the worst fakes; we literally had no idea what to do when he denied her entrance on a dead Thursday night. It was unbelievable. Viewhouse was usually our first stop when we would go out, but I won't be going back. Tavern literally has the same view of Coors Field and a better crowd.

Wow! How bad can you get? Hostess put us in a gross back room that felt like a basement. We finally got moved upstairs, and Joel was the slowest, dumbest, waiter ever. Took a half hour to get a beer....and an hour to get our bottle of wine. No one served us water, cleared our plates, terrible. Where the hell is the management here? No help for the servers, and FIRE the entire front of the house....particularly the blonde with BAD Farrah FAWCETT hair!!!!! Come. On. Is everyone stoned there? We are from LA, so I get it...you're dumb, and slow and stoned and hike all day.... But seriously, figure it out. Food was good. You are a terrible service company. And carding everyone AFTER we already had drinks downstairs? R u d e. You are terrible at what you do.

Can't go wrong with a place that not only has amazing brunch and drinks but is open air and has some fun games to play while boozing it up. Only been there on Sundays and one Saturday. I prefer the chill post-hangover and game days. Weekends are too crowded.

What's not to say about this downtown old building turned three level restaurant/bar with open patio seating and a killer view of the ballpark and some of downtown. For what it is, the servers are friendly. The food good and generous. Utilize your yelp check in for a complimentary 'Mule' with a entrée purchase. Amazingly our server happened to be from San Jose which was awesome. Love this place!

    (5)
  • Courtney M.

Great views - yes! The patio/deck is amazing here even in cooler temps. Pre Rockies games I am sure this place is a zoo and from what I hear on any given Friday or Saturday it's a less then desirable place to be due to the young & drunk crowd. Overall it was a nice pit stop for happy hour but I don't see myself coming back to check out the late night scene. Ever.

Will never go to this place again. Horrible customer service from both upper management and employees. An employee called my boyfriend a thug for having STUD earrings in. We came in with no problems the gentleman at the door said we were ok and as we're explaining this the employee addresses him as "come on thug take the earrings out." Called the next day to speak with a manager. I believe his name was Joe, who said I was being "a little extreme" and ended up hanging up in my face. NOT worth your money. This place will shut down sooner than later with that service. No earring policy that we weren't aware of?? Ridiculous in the first place. Watered down drinks - negative

The two things worth noting: 1. The patio is amazing. The views from the patio are gorgeous and it's so spacious. I love how close it is to Coors field. Definitely a great place to be at on a Saturday afternoon. 2. The employees. Harrison served us and he was extremely attentive and personable despite being super busy with the crowd that decided to bask in the sun like myself. He always managed to follow up with us when our drinks were low and socialized with us when it was convenient for him. Another employee Jeff, a big loveable guy was so caring and friendly. He had this protective nature that made me feel comfortable being there in the event things got a little out of hand. The Only Negative.....my tacos were not enough. Although I would definitely go back!

I frequent clubs and bars quite a bit and have been primarily in the downtown scene for the last 4 years. This location has the worst doormen/management staff I have ever dealt with. Multiple times they have been extremely aggressive with myself or other people in my group. I am a happy drinker, I never ever get into altercations with anyone while drinking. And my friends tend to be the same way. This place however has a culture it seems, with there security staff to treat there patrons like crap. In our most recent incident here at viewhouse, a doormen literally tried to pick a fight with our group . And they have very weird dress code policy's. Example is men can't have any earrings. Even though some of there employees have earrings. Anyhow I have decided to not ever go back to any of there locations. Hope this helps you.

They would not allow my African American friend into the bar because they said he looked like he could be in a gang because he had a key carabiner attached to his jeans. He has no tattoos and was wearing a dress shirt. After complaining about this to the upstairs bartender a different night, she said "ha! Doesn't surprise me, this place seems to do this kind of stuff more often than not." Will not be returning, neither will our friends.

This place can go from the quality of my first review to complete GARBAGE depending on when you go. but overall its pretty bad..ive been here plenty of times now to update my review. Weekend late nights? Its like tavern/lodos/etc.. you will like this if you like to bro it out with your bros and get into fights. I swear people have tried to start fights with me here at least twice (im the least fight-drunk ever too). and I see cops here all the time taking people away. Oh yeah and theres always a huge line to get in. During gamedays? Pretty similar crowd here, but theres usually not as long of a line to get in. The best time to go? Probably lunch and afternoons. Much less of a crowd and sometimes dead. Service is a tad better then but not by much. The service is pretty bad no matter when you go..ive been there when its dead or packed...They cant remember the seasonal beers on tap (sorry bro I dont want a miller lite). And they are slow with food orders and tend to mess things up. I wont lie though their food is pretty damn good still and thats why I tend to be ok with going if my friends really want to go here.

The twenty something crowd occupies Viewhouse with regularity. I wouldn't normally come to a bar like this but when you're invited to a surprise HH for one of your friends, the location doesn't matter. Viewhouse is a three floor bar with one of the best views of downtown Denver from the rooftop patio. Activities are mainly on the ground floor (didn't have the pleasure). We predominantly enjoyed the rooftop patio. They do have waiter service for the tables but if you need a drink at that moment your best bet is to go up to the bar and get it yourself. I was able to try some of their wings and mozzarella sticks wrapped in prosciutto, both were okay, fried bar food IMO. Drinks were plentiful and service was okay. It's a great place for the younger crowd for before or after a game. I'll stick to my kind of bars in the future.

What a great Idea for a restaurant and truly an amazing view. A neat place to stop by before heading over to watch a game at Coors Field, which a couple of my friends and I did this weekend. Honestly I feel I need to give this place a second chance before really deciding how I feel about it. We headed to the top and were lucky to get an open table they were pretty packed. Great atmosphere and mixed crowd of people from familys to groups of College kids I did like the food, salads are really big and the Chicken tenders are tasty but I was put off by our server. Service is not the best, examples: Having to wait a long time for drinks, refills etc. Could lose the attitude. Placing the wrong order for my boyfriend and about the time he got his food we were all pretty much done with ours. (Should have gotten a discount or something on that meal, would have been nice, just saying) Now it was pretty busy and maybe this is why we got so so service but still it is not a good look for the restaurant, But to be fair I would give it another shot in hoping this was just an off day.

8 of us came over after kickball for some drinks and because we were wearing sport shorts they refused to let us in. What a joke place!!!! So we spent almost 500 at the Tavern, much better place.

I really appreciate it when a owner/manager responds to a bad review! However the supposed email i was suppose to get never came and although i emailed them asking about i still never received a reply. With that I'm hoping that was a honest mistake and just a response for other yelp reviewers.

Plastic cups, the lounge seating outside is disgusting and the service is alright. I assume they are understaffed. Our server was fine. Drinks were quite tasty. 1 specialty drink and 2 regular drinks that everyone enjoyed. Although tables and seats were not clean, our glasses were. Will probably stop by for a drink after a Rockies game. Most likely just perch up at the bar.

Awful experience at the View House last night. We waited in a line that took forever just to get in. Once we finally got in we had to fight out way to the bar to get a drink because the place was slammed. After about 20 minutes of trying we finally placed an order and had to wait another 15 minutes for the bar tender to make our drinks. THEN, a bouncer came up to me and said that I had to leave because I was wearing earrings. After some talking with him, he just let me take them out and I could stay. He was very rude and said, "they shouldn't have even let you in, it's a violation of our dress code". Well the issue is, they let me in, and no one said anything! And since when is a man wearing small black stud earrings a violation of dress code? I was wearing a black tshirt, jeans and tennis shoes and they were more concerned about my earrings. Needless to say, I will not be going back. They can keep their bros & hoes "atmosphere" to themselves.

I was with a large group (10 or so) and the staff was very accommodating and allowed us to eat as long as we wanted, despite our table being on their usual dance floor. I got the Fish N Chips entree. Decent quality food, nothing too special. 3 stars because it was a cool place, a place I'd go again, but wouldn't prioritize as a must have meal or must have environment. Note; the outdoor patios and games would probably make this a 4 or 5 star during the summer months, but couldn't be used to their full potential in mid January for obvious reason, thus leaving this maybe really cool and special spot relatively average.

This place is shit. We literally walked in for the first time ever and a bouncer came up to us after about 15 steps and kicked out out of town friend for trying to start a fight...it was the craziest fucking situation. We tried to explain we had JUST walked in and they started shoving the rest of us. Fuck View House. I hope this place and its bouncers eats a giant bowl of dog shit.

I'm told that the locals hate this place, but as out-of-town visitors, we stopped by and had a fantastic time. The food is delicious, lots of interesting beers, and friendly, helpful service. We stopped by at dinner time on a Friday and they were able to seat our party of 12 with only a 5-minute wait. There's an interesting outdoor type area where I'm assuming things get pretty rowdy in the evenings, but if you're just looking for dinner, this place has my recommendation. Skip the wings. They're not great.

Wow! Worst staff in the history of mankind! Celebrated my husbands 30th birthday here on February, 13th 2015. I wish we wouldve gone somewhere else right away... One of my friends asked for a Rum and Coke and got Rum and Diet instead. He told the bartender after only one sip, so the bartender TAKES A SIP FROM THE GLASS!!!!! then says "yup, thats rum and diet!" but when my friend asked if he could make that a Rum with regular coke he just said "No!" Thats it, nothing more, nothing less. When my husband told him that its clearly the wrong drink and that theyd like to exchange it, he says "No, cause I didnt make that one!" but the girl who made the drink was nowhere to be found. If he wanted another drink he'd have to pay for it. So that was that. Then my husband ordered a round of Tequila which the incompetent female waitress served without salt. He politely asked for it and she just said "its not here right now". Who serves Tequila without salt and doesnt even apologize for the inconvenience? So he asked another bartender who promptly gave him some salt. My husband couldnt help himself but told the girl "apparently you had salt after all!" to which she responded: "do you wanna stay or do you wanna leave?" seriously? youre threatening people to kick them out cause you suck at the easiest job in the world?!? (i can say this, cause i was a bartender for years!) Then one of our, admittedly slightly intoxicated, friend accidently grabbed a wrong drink from the bar. it was a leftover cup that had been sitting next to his for a while. after he said "ew, that wasnt my drink!" the bartender told him he needed to pay for that since it wasnt his. A NASTY LEFTOVER!!!!! they argued for a minute or two so my husband just asked him how much he wanted. This guy took $5 for a drink somebody else had already paid for and left at the bar. My husband paid for it cause he just wanted to have a good time on his birthday. AFTER that the bartender still called the bouncers to have them kicked out, which they didnt, cause at least the bouncers were somewhat reasonable. But naturally my husband told him he wanted those $5 back since he tried kicking them out and didnt serve them anymore, but he just kept it and laughed in his face. Easy money for this fella, wonder how much he makes a night with that strategy. Anyways, our group of 14 took off cause we had enough, I just wish we hadn't spent almost $600 at that damn place before we finally did.... If you wanna have a good time, go somewhere else!!!

Not impressed. Slow service. Up on the roof with umbrellas you can't use because they are poorly made. We are sitting in the sun... Closed umbrellas all around, but don't open them... They don't work. What a ridiculous thing.

Happy hour ended at 6 so we didn't make it in time for that. We were still able to get drinks and sit on the rooftop for one of the best views of downtown Denver. The beers were great, the food was average (typical bar food), and service was just OK. Honestly I don't get all the hype with view house, it's not the greatest deal and doesn't offer much besides the rooftop. If you are looking for cheap drinks or a good happy hour, look elsewhere. If you want a cool view of downtown and to play some fun lawn games, go here.

Went to the view house tonight with some coworkers for happy hour because we have never been there before. Probably will not go back to this bar unless it is the only place open perhaps not even then rather grab beer and drink in the office. We ordered two view house mules, but they came on a short glass because they were out of copper mugs. How is that possible when there were about 10 people on deck? On top of leaving out the mint which is key in a mule. The rest of the table ordered beer and a couple cocktails that came in plastic cups because they were out of glasses. How are you possibly out of glasses at 4:00 in the afternoon. The service was less than mediocre. She brought us the wrong tab two different times. It wasn't that busy and with 10 waitresses working you can't tells you had that many tables to get us confused. Not impressed with the staff, service, drinks or price.

One of the worst places to go. We went for my friends bday. Both downstairs bartenders were assholes. When asked what flavor vodka they have he said all of them, rolled his eyes and walked off. The other bartender was too busy hitting on a girl and when asked to get us a drink he said no and kept hitting on the girl. This is a joke, the owner/managers really need to do something about this place

Have been here a million times and yes, this place has it's faults, but if you take it for what it is, which is a rowdy bar with a great patio and upscale bar food, it is perfect. I personally absolutely love the food and have travelled far for the kale salad, which is a HUGE bonus at a bar like this, as I won't touch the food at the other bars in the area. I also love that it is segmented so that you can go on a Sunday, sit in the dining room and enjoy a nice lunch while on the patio people are losing their minds. Every now and then, when it is a nice day and I want to lose my mind, too I come here. Playing games on the patio, getting drunk, being as weird as you want. I personally think it is hands down THE best bar to be at in summer in Denver, and I believe the fact that it is always filled to capacity speaks highly to that, as well. I get the hate, you think the crowd is douchey, you think the prices are high, you think the service sucks. It is a bar, friends. A bar in Lodo. Those things are to be expected. The bar itself, though is pretty much perfection.

My server was slow and seemed overwhelmed even though it was pretty slow in the restaurant... It was 7 on a Monday night. But the bartender picked up the slack and took our drink orders. I got the Colorado peach I didn't taste any peach at all it was actually very bitter idk if I got the wrong drink but it was pretty horrible. But the manager came over and took care of the drink and was very friendly. She also explained as to why the food was taking so long and apologized and was very nice. The atmosphere was awesome. But when the food finally arrived it was ok. I got the chicken strip appetizer they were large chicken breasts that almost tasted like they were shake and bake. I didn't enjoy the chicken strips but their fries were pretty good. I would recommend it as a bar more than a place to eat

Only came for drinks on a beautiful day but I was very impressed with this bar! They have a lawn of astro turf and comfy booths where you can play cornhole, bocci, jenga, etc. so cool! The downstairs has tons of TVs and basically all the walls open up so you're outside on nice days. You can also walk up about a million stairs (not kidding I was out of breath) and go to the rooftop. Very cool il there as well!! The whole place overlooks the ballpark. While I didn't have the food the bar experience seemed like such a cool place to day drink with friends on a nice day.

It's totally BroDo but it's sure is a convenient and lovely rooftop to drink on! Never had the food but the bartenders and waitresses are always friendly. Perfect for a sunny spring day!

Ouch!!! Lot's of haters writing reviews here? I don't get it. I thought the place was awesome. I was in town from Austin and was able to catch the Rockies day game yesterday. They killed the Dogers. Anyway the local guy we were with suggested we hit View House for a good HH scene. This ain't the place to visit if your a mega drink snob. They've got Beers, Basics on Booze (Jack & Coke) and a couple snob craft beers for those types as well. But the vibe was rocking. That outdoor game area was perfect. Cornhole good music and a bunch of babes running around. What's not to like about this? I think the bartenders were solid. I never went dry waiting on them and the beers were flying down in that heat yesterday. One gal wrote a review here that said it was like a frat house for adults. I didn't understand her issue? Seems like a bonus to me. Keep expectations in check when hitting these joints. It ain't a place for a good craft cocktail but if you're into having some beers and good scenery this is your spot.

This establishment... I can't just call it a bar, is awesome. It's owned by a friend of mine and run by another friend of mine, but that is not the only reason it is awesome. I decided to have my companys' holiday party at the Viewhouse in December of 2013 (I had the 2012 holiday party at Chloe....also owned and run by the same peeps) I was not sorry! It was an amazing celebration of food, and fun while being surrounded by spectacular views! I highly recommend this location for events or just an evening out :) Have Fun!

Didn't eat here but came for late night drinks on a Saturday. Place was decently packed, bouncers were friendly. But the weirdest thing I happened when checking my ID, they asked me to remove my earrings. Lol! Wtf, I had full karat diamond studs in that are not cheap. Asked why and he couldn't really give me a good answer. I laughed and took them out, more worried about losing them. Cool place, just don't wear earrings lol

I had been here a hand full of times when it first opened because it was busy and had a lot going on. It wasn't every anything special, just another bro bar that plays the top 40s. My friends and I use to go for the spectacular view, which was it's only saving grace. One night my friends and I decided to come back, we showed our IDs and then the bouncer saw my hand tattoos and said I wasn't allowed in because of my visible hand tattoos. I told him I had been to this bar a multiple times with the same tattoos and no one ever stopped me from going in. He said visible hand tattoos were gang related and I couldn't go in. I gladly left, not going to give any business my money for not letting in people with tiny hand tattoos. Weeks later my friend wasn't let in because he had his ears gauged. So if you have any visible tattoos or your ears are gauged then perhaps go to another bar that doesn't discriminate against appearance.

My friend and I came here to go out on a Saturday night because she was visiting out of town. It definitely had good music and the upstairs plays different music than downstairs. Upstairs is more chill. It definitely seems like a pick up scene and we were hit on often. It is definitely flattering and more common here than other bars I have been to in Denver where the atmosphere is more cliquy. I would come here again for a girls out or occasional big night out. i would probably not be a regular. Oh and drinks were strong/good

I now know the meaning of Sunday Funday. Rope Burns are optional. Ill get to that in a second. The beers are reasonably priced for tap, and they have frozen margaritas. For all the people inside they make use of the space. Never felt over crowded whether inside or upstairs on the patio or on the lawn area. Plenty of activities as well. From Volleyball to Tug of War Hence the rope burns. To the Oversized Beer pong. Nice way to get a quick buzz after leaving Coors Field. Haven't tried any food yet but the alcohol and fun and atmosphere is great. Did check out the dessert menu and looks tasty.

Great location across the street from the ball park, awesome grass/patio area with some cabanas, corn hole, and surprisingly a volleyball net. Unfortunately our service was pretty slow and they were busy during our brunch. The food was alright, nothing special though. The one part that was really irksome was their all you can drink mimosas (which is a good deal if you plan on having 2 or more) . I asked if they could hold off on all of the juice (it just kills my stomach) and some of the bartenders acted as if this was an absurd request. I am a bartender so I understand if you can't exclude the juice completely, but just go easy on it. I wasn't asking for more champagne either, just put the same amount (less than half the glass usually) and we are all good.

Yeah, this place sort of gives me the creeps jeepees. To many brohams here that think their hard. Recommend staying away from this place as booze+people that think there stuff don's stink=fight. Better places to drink and have a good time.

I've been to the View House a few times and have enjoyed myself each time. It is situated between Coors and Downtown off Market Street - offering fantastic, up & close views of each! I feel like most business is provided by post-gamers of Coors, whether in celebration or to keep drinking. With that, the crowds begin fairly early, but flow in throughout the night for the non-gamers. The bar itself has a few levels/areas to explore... 1) Front Bar with Small Patio Area (by the entrance) which is to me the most Pub-by area, 2) Grassy Courtyard opposite the Front Bar with Hillbilly Golf & Bags games, 3) Side Bar which connects the Courtyard and Front Bar with lots of TVs, seating and the bathrooms are located here for the ground level, 4) Outside Rooftop wraps around in a U-Shape around the Rooftop Bar has a variety of seating with minimal stretching space, and 5) Inside Rooftop which has the main Dance Floor and another bar... A few things to note: - It. Gets. Crowded. So... unless you are eating ALL night, do not even bother with the middle tables on the Outside Rooftop because they WILL literally ask you to get up and they will take your table. This is to "maximize space since business is so good." - Dress How You Wish.... because I am yet to see a trend there! I've seen casual, hoochie, sophisticated, urban, you name it! - The Music is On Point! They play a very nice mix of Hip Hop, Dubstep, Techno House, Rap, some Top 40s, and it changes one song after the next... they don't play a genre for 10 minutes and then switch. I love it! Lastly, a tip from me - IF you really do live in the Ballpark/LoDo area, bring a bill or ID with your address because they will excuse the cover charge and skip the main line!

My friends and I frequent this location. While we don't typically eat here, we did choose to eat here on Saturday evening. We split the nachos, added pork, and our AMAZING server, Ariel, suggested we have them toss the pork in BBQ sauce as well. it was PHENOMENAL. I haven't always received the best service here, but on Saturday, it was spot on. Ariel was fantastic - she was at our table in a timely manner, made sure to check up on us (without being overbearing), and was overall a pleasure to have as a server. We also LOVE Mark, whom tends bar upstairs. He's always so wonderful, and is a great host when sitting at his side of the bar. We will continue to be patrons for sure. :)

So I went back to give things another go last Sunday and had a great time! Sundays here are the time to venture out evidently. Still a very Frat Party atmosphere- actually made better by their huge Astro-Turf sideyard patio. VolleyBall Tournament CornHole And ummmm ...some other bean bag throw game I'm really not too good at. Fun stuff Also I must give credits to Questor and the upstairs bar crew. They all did a great job keeping up with everyone all afternoon.

Location, location, location. And that's about it. Took an hour for the food. And then had to flag down our server for eating utensils. Asked if they could change the channel, but that's a manager decision. In other words, no.

This one star is for their lack of knowledge in soccer and appearance of the building. This restaurant failed to know what the World Cup is call by displaying a sign saying "world soccer championships". To make matters worse, they kept the computer mouse on the display screen. I hope in four years they get their act together for the next World Cup.

Hostile environment. Went here on fight night. Be prepared for security to try to start a fight with you ESPECIALLY if you're in the military. Not sure if the View House hates America or something but apparently security is offended if you try to enter with a military ID. They will let you In but not without saying a few offensive words first.

I usually despise coming here when there is a crowd or when they are blasting techno music...however this place truly impressed me yesterday in how accommodating and with it they were. With a loss of a friend you just want to spend time with the people that knew and loved her. They cleared a section off and the manager as well as the waiters were on point with everything...I was truly impressed with you guys! Not a lot of places will treat you the way your staff did:) I wish I remembered your names.

Let's start with what I liked; Kudos to the kitchen staff. The food here is of a very good quality, and clearly lots of thought went into the menu. As an eatery, this is a great establishment. Out waitress was friendly and hospitable. I wish I could say the same of the other patrons. "Frat House" is more like it. Some guy tried to hit on my friend by stating his income. The dress-code makes sure that you fit heteronormative standards, and they discriminate against people with tattoos. The management claims that this is an attempt to remain in line with other bars in the neighborhood, but over at Chapultapec, they could care less what you're wearing.

My only experience here was St. Patty's weekend, so I think I cannot review it fairly based on that BUT despite the odd type of event we were there for, I had an OK experience. Just ok. I see why it's called the view house, duh. It is nice to be able to see outside from wherever you are in the restaurant. The view is a great thing. I had breakfast there- a breakfast burrito to be exact. It was ok. Not the best. It was fine. Need I say more? Not sure if the food really wowed any of us. Service- I'd have to come back another time to judge this fairly. Not the greatest on the day that I went. We had 2 servers and it took a while to get some things we ordered, but in the end we got everything we wanted and I guess that counts for something. Seems like it'd be a fun summertime spot.

Stopped by to get a drink for the bronco game, easily the worst choice of my life. Had two beers, was wrongfully accused of defecating on their back lawn even though I never went outside. Thrown out by their bouncers, extremely violently. As I was walking to my bike the security guards on the roof threw water balloons at us, then grabbed me on the sidewalk and constrained me until police showed up. Ended up spending the night in detox due to a false accusation brought upon by the security staff. I can't believe that a restaurant and bar could treat an innocent customer with such aggression and lack of understanding with the situation at hand. Definitely a NO MORALS establishment, don't risk your reputation and pick a better bar.

  • Jess B.

This review is for the bar, not the restaurant- never eaten there. Good idea, just didn't pan out in reality. The rooftop is cool in the summer, except (and this is year round) -- there's no dancing, but you also can't talk because the music is so damn loud. Downstairs there is tightly packed dancing with little room to move. Outdoors there are lawn games which are nice in the warm months. Don't come on a football night-- people will be watching and you will be in the way if you don't care about it. Clean bathrooms with attendants that are moderately stocked. Not nearly enough of them though. View of the stadium is nice though. Ridiculous to pay the cover for such a let down so if you come here do it before.. 11 i think it is? It's a pretty boring bar. FYI: Men can't bring in bags because someone sued them once upon a time for getting a drink spilled on his laptop-in the bag. So don't come here after happy hour after work- or show them you don't have a laptop.

Went to the Viewhouse for the rooftop view and drinks. I ordered a Pear Martini, served with 'GREG GOOSE' Pear Vodka. 15mins go by and still no drinks. Our server came by and said it will be a few more minutes. We sat close to the bar enough for me to see the bartendar make our drinks..... only to see her use 'ABSOLUT Pear Vodka' (so dishonest of her)..... I'm not a vodka snob, however, it would have been nice for this establishment to show some honestly. I told our server what I saw and he came back and confirmed that they bartendar used 'Absolut'.....

The place is great for Rockies games, but other than that I would avoid. I paid a good amount of money thinking New Years would be fun there as well. Turns out we had to wait in line, which I would expect but as time went on people just cut in front of us. I went to talk with the security at the front and they said "sorry man but we are short staffed." Once we got in, it was crowded to the point where we couldn't even move. The 6 drink tickets I bought I ended up not using and just left and went to another bar to celebrate New Years. We had a group of 8 and will not return. I feel bad for the staff as the event was not organized. If you are going to charge 60 dollars to attend a event, I would hope to expect it to be well run.

This is a social Mecca for the 20/30 something crowd. Volleyball, Pin the Tail on the Donkey and various other activities keep you on the move whilst you drink the morning, afternoon and night away. The food is fantastic and the beers cold-and oh yeah, great service. The only downside is the lack of free parking, so take the train :)

My best friend and I were visiting from Phoenix, Arizona and we heard great things about The View House. We had the most amazing experience from the gorgeous ambiance then Hayley presented herself with her courteous customer service. From recommendations to do in Denver to her willingness to go above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary needs. We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Hillary during our visit.

a.k.a the DoucheHouse: If you like being jam-packed in a bar full of mostly dudes, being unable to communicate with friends, pushing and contorting your way through masses of bros just to get to the bar to score an overpriced drink, then a) you're probably still in college and/or b) this is the place for you! I came with 2 girls and I probably should have come with 20. Be sure to check out the backyard area where, if you're lucky, someone will spill a beer on you from the upper deck. If that's not your thing, be sure to push your way through a horde of drunk bros to get to one of the bars where $6 gets you a canned beer. If you love waiting in line as a hobby, they got you covered too! But I should probably include the positives: great views, fun concept, near Coors Field and there are a couple women here. I'll probably go back, but if I can help it, it won't be anytime near midnight on a weekend.

Tried this place out for the first time last week. I was unimpressed. Drinks were weak, space was crowded, and it was too loud for conversation. Home of the bros too! No thank you.

For the most part i liked this place, spent several hours with friends Friday night. Had 5 of the exact same drink and they were all COMPLETELY different! Clearly no training of bartenders, i hate when you can't expect consistency. One mai tai was literally rum, soda water and grenadine. It was clear, no juice. Bizarre! I wish they'd train their staff

A bit on the pricey side, but that's what can you expect from this area of Denver. Incredible view of downtown. The music was really rocking for the St. Pat's day party. The food is quite good.

If I could give a zero I would. We went up to the rooftop to watch the World Series which was not on any of the tvs. We asked to change one of 13 tvs to the World Series they said no. My friend went back over to politely ask the owner again. The owner said "listen bitch, this is how it works, only college football up here. You can take your business else where." My other friend asked "why?" He called him an asshole. Needless to say he was one himself. When we went to gather my friends to leave he called over security to have us escorted out. Don't go there is you want professional customer service. Other bars near by are far more accommodating and have better service. Won't give them my $$ ever again.

This place if fun for drinks but during the day the service is SLOW the waitress upstairs are to worried about taking selfies together and picking at there nails to ask me if I want another drink, besides that after I ordered and hour later when my food arrived Ahi tuna salad is was the worst I've ever had and tuna is one of my favorites. The tuna was not at all pan scared there was no dressing on my salad and the makings of the salad did not meet standards just overall a bad item to choose. However my friends quite enjoyed there meals the Ruben was great. Good choice but on my end I would rather go to Panera bread.

Great views, interesting crowd, loved the outdoor cornhole and Fire pits --- as it got later the crowd grew and it got a little wild but overall the decor and service was great, not to mention the price compared to most cities.

Went there to check it out last night with some family visiting from out of town..... Most rude security staff I have encountered outside of Miami nightclubs. Rudest bartenders I have experienced in all of Denver. The crowd is nothing but ignorant 20-30's people that are partying about as sloppy as a bunch of high schoolers after their first time at prom. Price for quality of drink received, haha. Music being played, I've heard the radio in the car play better music and I hate listening to at radio. We ended up walking out and don't plan on returning ever again.

The prices here are so outrageous you might as well throw yourself off the "scenic" rooftop and let your family claim the insurance. Before you make the big leap however, you'll have to pass by the bar. It won't be hard to find because it acts like a leaning post for bloated popped collar, deep V neck wearing frat like boys, dribbling into the cleavage of their top-heavy blonde bomb-bimbos. But there's no doubting the view. The rooftop is stunning; and gazing out over the D, you'll soon forget that you're surrounded by a babbling congregation douchiness. As for their food, the Hot Iron Seared Salmon was quite good. And the Giant soft Pretzel my gal got earlier was good as well. The service however was much to be desired and to be honest the bartender we had was very pompous and aloof. Go fuck yourself I say. Perhaps in retrospect my V neck was not deep enough down my chest and I failed to spray an entire can of Axe Kilo on before entering. My bad. View is nice tho.

Rooftop is amazing but it gets packed. The service sucks here though. I get that you're busy but you don't have to be an asshole. The view makes it worth it though.

I've been here a few times. The first time was for reassuring me that the nightlife in Denver was going to be a-ok. Great variety of different hang out spots under one roof. - a decently sized dance floor with the proper headbobbing music going on. - a cool rooftop, high enough to make you feel superior to all those people walking around on the street. - Outdoor patio area, with a separate little pen/enclosure for smokers. The food at a bar needs to be rated on a bar food scale, and accordingly, I would give this place about a 3/5 for bar food. The nachos are a little disappointing, but the pigs in a blanket and various cheese sticks will give you your fried food fix.

  • Liv S.

Crappy bar service upstairs. The view is great. The games downstairs look fun and could be a happening place on the weekend. The bar tenders were too busy talking about bar tending to actually offer us another drink. Not super busy either. Glasses are plastic so don't expect chilled glasses for your beer. Not that great a beer selection either.

I loved Viewhouse when it opened a few years ago. I loved the layout and yard games outside. However, my most recent visit was quite the opposite. My friends and I, who are young professionals, went out to celebrate a friends birthday. We arrived around 7pm and were kicked out at 10:30pm. Why you ask? We weren't given an answer. Our waitress accidentally dropped an entire tray of 6 beers on my girlfriends back. There was no apology from the waitress and when we asked for help to clean up the mess, no one came. There was 1/2 a beer left over after the accident (which was meant for us). Our friend took the beer and next thing we know, he's getting kicked out. In an attempt to communicate with the bouncers to rectify the issue, the bouncers chose to kick out our ENTIRE group. What was the most aggravating is that we didn't do anything wrong and we weren't even drunk. They were rude, disrespectful and made me feel like we had done something horrible. Their reaction to kicking us out would have been typical of someone who started a bar fight. I specifically remember a bouncer named Mitch. Biggest jerk ever. I cannot believe this place. Staff need some serious training around active listening and showing respect for customers. Oh...and we were tipping 50% to our waitress...I think we were pretty good customers. Never going back. Stay away unless you're prepared to be treated by narrow minded narcissistic staff.

Should've read reviews before coming. Took 60 minutes to get a table. The hostesses were snotty. Asked me after waiting that long if I still wanted a table - ah yeah, duh you texted me stating it was ready. Then was sat in a section that didn't have a waitress. Sat there for 15 minutes before asking another server if they could send ours only to find out we didn't have one. Never received silver wear or a napkin. Had to ask for silver wear and was given a desert spoon to eat with, still no napkin at all. Food came out quickly when we finally got to order. Waitress was totally frazzled though cause she had 15 tables to work on. Live and learn! Forgot to mention they kept trying to give us someone else's food.

This bar is in the perfect location downtown! So much fun on baseball game days and a great option for late night too. They have an amazing rooftop patio that is open year round and has some amazing views of the city. I love the ambience up there with the fire pits and comfy couched to sit on. They also have great food here and tons of TVs so it's a great spot to come watch one of Denver's many sports team. Definitely one of the best downtown bar options and bar fad best patio!

Bonnie is the best waitress in this place. Hands down. If you don't get get as your server, you're missing out. My suggestion: walk in, ask for Bonnie. If she's working, great. If she's not working that day, camp out and wait. She was so incredible, I don't even remember what I ate.

I start most reviews by reminding readers I rarely give five stars. That's reserved for perfection, which is rarely achieved anywhere including the service industry. Therefore, four stars from me is a great review. Second, today was a day Rockies game and this place got packed moments before noon when I arrived, however, I had no problem finding a open seating table. I sat down and was soon greeted by a friendly waiter who gave me menus as asked if I knew what I wanted. I ordered a beer. About 15-20 minutes later manager stopped by and asked how I was doing, so I explained I was considering leaving because of how long it was taking to have my first beer delivered. This INSTANTLY changes gears on how everything was proceeding. The manager comped my first drink and meal to make up for the delay, my waiter, realizing his mistake, stepped up his game to what I'd consider great service. The chicken strips were a little overdone but there's a lot of turnover before a game so I don't feel obligated to fault them for that. Overall great pleasant afternoon experience.

This place only gets 2 stars based on the layout and the service. I can't comprehend why they have such a strict dress code. No white shirts, no earrings, no hats backwards, an etc... To me this is absolutely ridiculous. apparently all these things are "gang affiliated". And yeah the 5'4 104 pound m asian boy is a gang member. I understand why these rules are in place but they are a little ridiculous, and not always implemented. I can get it in on certain days with earrings and my hat backwards and then I would get kicked out for that exact same reason. Get your shit together viewhouse.

Ok, arrived in Denver from NY and only had a day, went to breakfast at SAM #3 Dinner (Awesome) and asked the waitress where should go for a cocktail/food and she recommended the View House! Walk to the rooftop and sat at the bar and had a great time! Watched my Sports, had a great roasted chicken meal and some great drinks complements of MAC the Bartender from Buffalo, NY!

A solid 4.5 for the ViewHouse in downtown Denver. I made a stop there after stepping off a flight from LA to watch Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals...I was headed to my hotel, but hockey was and is the priority (first and foremost). So Yelp help guided me to a good sportsbar, with lots of space, TVs, drinks, and a very deep menu. The Pros: - Huge location, multiple levels, multiple bars, TONs of TVs. - Lots of interesting people watching. From corporate types, to douchebages, to over-dressed, to complete skanks, and all the manners in-between...Denver brings out the weed crowd, the money crowd, the sporto crowd, and the "hey, I'm a regular guy, doing regular guy things" crowd. - The food was superb...not avg sportsbar slop. I had a great broiled salmon filet, over a solid mashed potatoes (not too salty or creamy), with steamed veggies...really, really good. - I didn't really partake of the bar, but the drink menu was massive. With tap beers, bottled beers, signature drinks, wines, hard lemonades, etc. - Super close to Coors Field (can hear the ballpark), and views of downtown, and mountains. - Outdoor game area with cornhole pits, cabana seating, and open air bars, that's a nice touch. - Prices were VERY reasonable for a downtown bar in a upscale area. The Cons: - Close to Coors Field, and parking was kind of non-existent. - A lot going on, loud, and the usual "wooooo party!!!" types taking selfies, wanting to be seen, acting a fool, and just bieng "bar" people. Please...there's a hockey game on here...a little respect!! - Huge menu, could hardly choose... - People stoned off their ass everywhere...Colorado has pot stores, pot dispensaries, pot laced food, and high people everywhere...dear god...drugs are bad mmmmmm'kay? Not my thing people...wanna get mile high? Come to Denver. That's pretty much it...good food, fun atmosphere, hockey on TV, downtown spot in the middle of things, don't be a fool, pot aint' cool. ENJOY!

If I could give lower than one star, I would. With about a dozen out-of-towners in Denver for the night and searching for a place we could all get together to watch the opening college football game of the season, the Viewhouse seemed great. I called a few days in advance and reserved a section - making sure to ask the manager if they had the SEC Network and would be showing the game. He assured me that would be no problem. When I arrived they had no idea about our reservation - and just pointed us upstairs, basically saying "find your own space." OK, no big deal provided there is room... Went straight to the bartender - oddly enough the A&M-South Carolina game wasn't on any of their dozen TVs. I asked the bartender "Before my whole crew orders drinks, do y'all have the SEC Network and where is the game?" She assured me the manager just hand't changed over the channel. I ordered a shot from the bar, then sat at my table with my friends as we all ordered drinks. Freaking out because I know the game had already started, I AGAIN asked for the channels to be changed to the game. I was informed that "the manager was in a meeting and he was the only one with the remote" and so we waited... and waited... and waited... Eventually once we got a score update from one of the TVs that confirmed my suspicion that the venue DID NOT have the SEC Network as they had promised me (twice!) - we all got up to leave and head somewhere that did. Of course, they ended up charging us for the round of drinks that we would NEVER have ordered had they not wrongfully told me twice that they did have the SEC Network. Poor service, poor planning, poor execution. Sports Column around the corner was MUCH better than Viewhouse. I'll never be back.

By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After being ignored by bored waitresses for 15 minutes, I asked the bartender to please send someone over to my table. After finally receiving and finishing my meal, I waited another 10 minutes for a waitress to take away my plate. She did so without making eye contact or asking if I wanted anything else (which I didn't) or my check (which I did). While I continued to wait for my check, I advised a similarly ignored party of three to approach the bar and beg for service. (They were grateful for the advice.) As a former bartender and delivery driver, I never tip less than 20 percent. Today I left no tip at all, and I would have walked out without paying (Lord knows the wait staff wouldn't have noticed), but I was raised better than that. The shame of it all is that I've been looking forward to going to this bar for months. Local friends have talked it up, and there's nothing I like more than a ballpark neighborhood bar during the summer. What a disappointment.

I came to Denver for Thanksgiving. This was the first stop in my travels. I had the honor of being served by Harrison. He knew my thought ls that I would like to be there for quite a while on this Sunday after-one-noon. He first provided me with a house special: sweet vodka drink and immediately food. I took their breakfast burrito which, as a big guy, was rather filling. Then I began choosing fruity drinks as their big selection. Perhaps they can use their fresh fruit to different entrees if so permitting with their overhead. Who knows. Harrison's and mine idea. Harrison made sure I was well taken care of, not being over served to my big nature, and always offered food. They had a contest for a signed Denver Broncos jersey. Sadly I was not asked to contribute, but had no fault of Harrison's, but a good night still ensued. He made sure I had a Taxi to take me home, and I was still overwhelmed by his hospitality. You could not ask for a better server. Always ask for Harrison. Although he may be Separated By Distance on the floor, he will always take care of you.

I went during the soft opening so the roof top and 2nd floor were not yet opened but I can't wait for nice days when I can enjoy the rooftop and eventually their garden. It is a fantastic space really nicely decorated, and a great addition to the neighbhorhood. there is a nice central bar on the first floor with plenty of tables around the bar and then different areas with booths. The bar menu is awesome, with plenty of beer options from Blue Moon Seasonals, crafts and Coors Light on tap to a long list of Colorado crafts in bottles and plenty of cocktails and wines. The menu is very good too. We started with the Mozarella sticks wrapped in prosciutto which were simply fabulous with crispy prosciutto providing plenty of flavor to the mozarella sticks. We also tried deep fried pickles and jalapenos, which were also ok. For mains, we tried the fried chicken and waffles (my first time trying this combo) which was a bit too sweet for me, a chicken club sandwich with plenty of crispy fries, and chicken tenders (an appetizer but quite big as a meal). I'm sure I'll be back again, especially whenver the place is not too crowded

Get over yourself! I cannot in good conscious support a business that promotes such an attitude of superiority. They come off like you should be honored to have the opportunity to spend your money there. I wont even comment on the absurd dress code, you can see that in all the other reviews. When the door guys give two girls a hard time for walking in the door without going around the rope (all 5 feet of it) to the "entrance" side I had to laugh. There wasnt a single person within 15 feet or the entrance. Seriously? It was a Sunday night, it was dead, you should be thankful for anyone who comes to your bar.

I wish it was possible to give a zero or negative review! These a holes let me in with a backpack and my friend in w plugs. Then we left to lock up a bike and we had to wait in line 3 times only to be told the rules had changed 3 times. We got turned away for a bag and plugs that were already let in literally 2 minutes prior. I wouldn't dare wait in line again to be turned away for my neck tattoo... forget lodo.

Great venue - big, well decorated and roomy. I went here for the broncos home opener - and they were NOT ready to service this crowd. Parking was full 90 minutes before the game. Hostesses didn't know what to do. They didn't have enough menus. Servers were ill prepared. Food was cold. They ran out of mugs to serve beer. Obviously they didn't prepare to be successful

This place is awesome! I'm from Miami and they don't have bars like this down there! They had 2 levels of space, lots of games to play (volleyball, bean bag toss, etc) and a wonderful fire pit for those cold chilly nights. I'm from Miami, so drink prices are expensive down there, but here they are cheap! My husband and I were drinking AND buying drinks for other people and the bill came out to $35 bux. Damn that's cheap! They had music going and many TVs to watch all the games! If I lived in Denver, I would be back!!

Ambiance and views are the two biggest reasons to visit, service on the other hand is great reason to stay away. On my last visit, our server made sure to let use know how much her rent is and when it was due, before delivering us our first round. Needless to say that was our last round and didn't make the largest contribution towards helping her pay rent. I was completely taken back that this young lady would think for a moment that is acceptable. I don't need a guilt trip before ordering a beer, people attend bars to get away from their problems, not be confronted with the staffs.

Bars like this make me love Denver even more than I already do! The viewhouse is the perfect name for it. You literally have a breathtaking view of downtown Denver from the rooftop. Downstairs, there're people playing volleyball on astroturf and lots of seating. But upstairs is where it's at! It's like a whole different bar. It's swanky and sexy and airy! The bartenders are awesome. I think Sydney helped us and she was a great! We met some cool people and the music was unbeatable. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Denver.

I have been coming here since the 1st day it opened. Great place for before and after the game, awesome food love they local source and care about what the cook. Drinks are great priced. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a regular hang out!

Had been hearing all the buzz about this place so I happily joined a friend who wanted to try it out. We arrived towards the end of happy hour, were not greeted by the 3 hostesses/servers who were gathered around the front, and wandered around on our own deciding where we wanted to sit. Our server arrived at 5:59 (I believe ever so conveniently right before the end of happy hour) and were told we were too late. Nonetheless, we ordered our drinks and asked for a menu. Menu looks just like most other bars in the area (unlike what they supposed tout about their unique offerings). Our spinach artichoke dip arrived and I was dumbfounded. I don't even think you could call it a dip as it was literally so little that you barely could scrape it out with one of the 12 chips that were given to us. And to top it off, you can get this tiny bit of food for the lovely price of $9. This place really has nothing going for it other than the lawn. However, when I was there no one was even using it. Not sure that I'll be back.

So this place is awesome. It's like no other bar. I was telling my out of town friends that this bar would be successful in any town. It's awesome. The May out is great and spacious. Easy to fit a lot of people in yet not too crowded that you can't walk. The bar is nice and the bar tenders were friendly. The outside? The games? All awesome. We played some bean bags since the volleyball area was taken and had like three or four teams waiting. But, it would be awesome play that too. I think its great since bars normally want you to drink but what if it's a dead bar? And you are the only ones there? You leave. This place wants you to stay even if you're not drinking all the time. Great idea. I'd love to come back.

My experience with the Viewhouse have been good. None of them included food and all of them were on the rooftop. Maybe I have some good luck but I have managed to sit each time I'm up there and every time it's been before a game. I feel like the drinks are a little bit more on the pricier side but given the location and views, I think that could be justified. It's a great spot to be on a beautiful day regardless of whether a game is going on or not.

Horrible experience tonight at the view house. We reserved tables outside and waited over 40 minutes for our drinks. Our waitress was sassy and unhelpful. It isn't even that crowded. Its a bar, id like to have a drink and a good time. Oh for two.

Very disappointed in this bar. They won't serve pitchers after a certain time at night. The waitress brought us our bill before she brought us our drinks. We didn't want to give a credit card because of fraudulent charges in the past when opening a tab. You would have thought we ask to drink for free. She never returned to us after we told her she overcharged us by $4.00. The pitcher was $12 and she charged us $16.98. We had to go to the bar and get our own drinks which took more brain damage than necessary. 3 times we ordered the same drink, Jack with a splash of water. 1st time regular size solo cup $6. 2nd time half size solo cup $8. 3rd time same as the 1st. Horribly slow and over crowded. Music was very lame - a lot of every day songs set to electronica house beats. Not great. Won't be returning anytime soon or visiting the new location in DTC.

Yeah, I'll give this place 4 stars. I'm not a huge fan of the typical drinking games, college football type of bar but this one is alright. The rooftop patio is sweet and the side patio is spacious. Yeah, they have beer pong but it's oversized pong with trash cans for solo cups. It's a sweet location during Rockies games as well. I ordered a Caesar salad when I was here thinking, "who can mess up a Caesar salad?" The answer is this place. Instead of hard, crunchy, delicious croutons, my salad came with these cubes of warm, doughy, mush. Several people at my table tried them and also concluded they were gross. In summary, this is a cool spot for a drink during a Rockies game. Just don't order the Caesar salad.

This is probably my all time favorite bar to go to because not only do they have a great view..they have VOLLEYBALL in the summer and anyone can play! They play up to date house and electronic a music and the atmosphere is awesome. The service is always really good too.

Good thing there is a view because that's about all it had to offer. Missed appetizers, food lacking in sauce, others cold. Was dirty as well, my menu had corn And food smudges on it. Disgusting!! Oh, and to top it off out of ice cream bars for kids and took forever to get our bill paid. We should of been paid for that experience. Great concept, awful execution

The roof top patio is amazing on a hot sunny day before the late night crowds arrive. The bar staff is friendly, attractive and fun to chat with. Food is typical bar food, convenient burgers et but nothing exciting. Around 6 this place becomes your typical douche downtown bar. Packed full of drunkin kiddos out for their 21st birthday ready to barf from the floors above you. Get there early to enjoy the bar!

I came here last Saturday with my girlfriends to celebrate one of my friend's bdays. She is OBSESSED with this bar and has been raving about them for weeks. Because of this, I was looking forward to checking out the Viewhouse. The line to get in was INSANE! Luckily, the doorman let our group of 8 girls skip the line as a birthday present, so we got to avoid it. As soon as I walked in, my stomach dropped. The view on the first floor at Viewhouse is a cluster of hipsters jammed together like a can of sardines. Once we made our way up to the third floor and purchased our drinks, I was able to see the appeal. The view of Denver is amazing. I will have to try this place out for HH when it is a little less crowded.

Great views for a Moscow Mule! My friends and I shared waffle fries along with the proscuitto-wrapped mozzarella sticks. Service was great as well. The staff did a good job of enclosing the rooftop a bit, once the sun went down and it was colder.

I LOVE Kristin G. She was an amazing waitress. Not only did she make sure our whole table had a full drink at all times, but when we asked for suggestions, she made on point decisions that we thoroughly appreciated. We send love from Chicago and So Cal!

Great place to start a pre Rockies game day. My friend and I sat downstairs by the lawn games (another big plus). We shared the cobb salad and onion rings, no complaints. Servers were all attentive and great. I'd love to come here with a group of friends and enjoy a nice summer afternoon.

Stopped in at the end of lunch hour because it was near to our hotel. Place looks really cool. Lunch only served upstairs, ad the view is terrific, but everything else is half assed. Taps upstairs about half the number downstairs. Menu sounds great, but servings were really small and bland. Had the Pork Green Chili, which was under seasoned, and a salad that arrived with no dressing. When I asked for dressing, I got two little cups of vinaigrette that had separated. No way to mix them. Salad was awash in oil. Totally sucked. Service was extremely slow, and that' wasn't just our experience. Lots of tables around us were constantly craning their necks trying to find service staff to order or find their food, or get a bill to leave. Probably a much better bar than restaurant, but I probably won't find out. Lots of other options around the area.

Some drunk fell on my wife and I told my wife to F off, proceeds to push me and hit me, security throws my wife and I out of the place tells the cops we stole a credit card and this is all after I order a goose and red bull, watched the bartender poor a well vodka and charge me for a goose and redbull, this place is a joke

I was excited to try this place out but had multiple issues that made me not want to return. I was here for a Sunday brunch, enjoying the wonderful views. The rooftop had a steady flow of people, but not too busy, yet they were obviously lacking on servers so service was extremely slow. When we did see our waiter, we literally had to ask for waters 4 times before we actually got them and at this point, we were finished with our food. We had the bottomless mimosas as well, yet when attempting to get a final refill before the special ended, we were told it was already over with more than 5 minutes left so we couldn't get a buzz to makeup for the mediocre food. Nothing was earth shatteringly horrible here, but the little things that we had issues with just seemed to stack up. Will no return, unless on game-day for drinks.

So you're surrounded by the only other two sport bars with half-decent rooftop patios. So you build a bigger one. So you're in a city with a growing food scene and exploding downtown population. So you offer over 20 things on the menu, from calamari to chicken and waffles. So you've identified a great location for the 'it' establishment for the coming year. So you build a behemoth d-bag castle to trump any who may ever stand in your path. With so much focus and dedication, one wonders how an establishment can fail so hard in its first few weeks of opening? For one, serving the same chicken tender appetizers as the 'fried chicken' over some dry frozen waffles from 7-11. 'Chicken and waffles.' The food is downright laughable here, as is the service. It is a better sight than that run down abandoned warehouse that used to live there, but at least it didn't give me a stomachache.

Service is awful awful and again awful. Bartenders are not nice at all to the customers, and managers are even worst! They act like they are better then anyone else! Overpriced drinks, and you dont really taste alcohol in it. If you like crowded place where you can barely move, wait in line for 40mins, and not be sure if you get in cuz dress code is really strict, and pay a lot for drinks and deal with awful service thats for sure place for you! Save yourself sometime and go other place that is not so overrated.

  • Amber R.

I have been here a few times because of the location but every time I am reminded not to return. The service is consistently disappointing. There are clearly enough people working. They just have no clue how to attend to customers. On my most recent visit my waitress showed up with the wrong drinks. When she got them right and asked us to pay, she couldn't figure out how much they cost. When we attempted to order from the bar, the staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than serving drinks.

So off top this place cracks. I've always had a good time here. But it's really problem is the iffy dress code policy. The code states that no bags are allowed in the venue, but the the venue allows we men to bring pursues into the bar. By definition a purse is a bag. If your going to enforce a dress cows it has to be enforced consistently.

Let me just say this. I was dead sober walking my best friend's boyfriend to the bathroom, and the manager, douchebag in a pink tee shirt, literally shoved me out of the way and had the woman officer behind him arrest me. FOR NO REASON. She even took me out and apologized because she saw I did nothing wrong. So sad because I came to town for my best friends Wedding and because of this, all 30 of us had to leave. Of course attorney already called to get the manager's name but the mailbox was full. I wonder why? You will be hearing from my attorneys, as soon as your voicemail clears up. What a disgrace to Denver you are.

Really enjoy the deck for football breakfast. I recommend the breakfast burrito delicious and just big enough- not insane. The bar staff is friendly too, very professional. Don't go too much at night because the place is busy! Just not my thing but may be yours.. Thumbs up

SUPER expensive drinks. $20 for 3 beers served in plastic cups and a club soda. All I can think was $6/beer (where am I at, Coors Field!?) and $2 for the club soda? Either way, the view was cool. And we enjoyed our 1 drink and left. Service seemed pretty ok though.

My favorite place in Denver. I love everything they've got going on here. Spacious outdoor grass lot for summer games like horseshoe. The drinks are great and not too expensive. Upstairs had a great view and TV's for sports! I could spend all summer at this bar! The crowd is usually a lot of fun and interactive too!

HUGE Fan of this place for happy hour or weekend afternoons. It would be a five star review if the weekend nights weren't so weird and sketch compared to the daytime crowd. The happy hour food is pretty disappointing for price/size/quality, but drink specials are respectable and their rooftop and outdoor patio are awesome. It was also a great place for March Madness, and presumably any other daytime / early evening game. It's packed before/after Rockies games, but is worth the stop.

What a great day! Sun was shinning and the roof deck was amazing! First off our server Cara is what made our day! It was myself and 3 guy friends visiting. They are not the easiest guys to deal with but Cara was on point! She was funny and entertaining. She put up with their shit! Fast service! Great server. Food was ok. Just bar food and lots of fried food. Go rockies!!!!!!!

Came here with some friends to celebrate a birthday. It was . . .interesting. The place was mobbed on a Saturday evening about 9:30-ish, I think. We arrived and moved through the line, carded and entered the establishment. It was pretty packed downstairs, so we kept it moving right on up to the top level. View House has a spectacular view of the ball park and downtown Denver, but there was no place to sit. It was like being in an outdoor club. There were some tables, but they weren't empty. The rest of us stood around like sheep being herded, trying to find a spot that wasn't as crowded and standing around. I guess this is fun if you're into going to clubs, but for me, ehhhh. Drinks were pretty cheap and ordered and received quickly. I didn't have any other interaction with the staff, other than constantly being in the way as personnel moved chairs and tables over my head and apparently I was right in the line of movement, no matter how many times I tried to get out of the way. Oh well. There was lots of people standing around. Music was played pretty loud, but I didn't see how you could actually dance, as there wasn't a dance floor, but I guess you could move and dance by your friends, but that's it. So now I've been, not sure if I need to go back to try it for food. I've had an experience, that's enough. It wasn't a terrible place, just not my scene.

If there is one thing I've learned int his town, it's all about WHO you know...which proved to be plus when an old colleague of mine invited me to View House's meet & greet, which featured a taste of their food! Here's the breakdown: Venue & Atmosphere: Insanely awesome. Nothing like exposed brick, rustic signs & lighting, tall ceilings & a killer rooftop bar to put you in the right mindset and mood! Staff: Amazing. It was super busy the day the 4 of us arrived, however we were promptly seated, waters were never empty, and food arrived on time! The staff were very pleasant, seemed happy and gorgeous girls. :) Food: Meh. It's typical bar food, with a twist. We noshed on the wings, calamari, chicken salad, hot dogs, mushroom burger and the Med sandwich, which all tasted fine, but didn't have that extra kick to distinguish it from anything else. The drinks on the other hand, WOW. Perfectly concocted with just the right amount of liquor! They offer a variety of infused vodka's...which are to die for! Prices: Not too shabby! While the food didn't blow me away, I would DEF come here with friends for a night of drinking :)

As far as bars go, I LOVE ViewHouse. They have it all: great food, great drinks, great prices (especially during happy hour - $3 wines, draft beers and chili fries) and what no other place has - an outdoor courtyard where you can hang out with your friends. I came last weekend for Sunday Funday and it was seriously fun! I got pulled into a volleyball tournament with my girlfriends, enjoyed bottomless mimosas and watched countless cornhole and jenga games. People were just having... fun! Plus, they have a great MC who comes up with other games to play throughout the day - keeping up their "fun energy." It was never dull and truly a great time! My two friends drove up all the way from Fort Collins and Colorado Springs, and guess what, we're all going this weekend too! That's how fun it is! Food wise, everything I've had is great. Not really sure where these other bad reviews are coming from. Maybe it was just an off day? On different occasions, I've had their nuts & berries salad, shrimp & salmon pasta, chicken tacos, california burger (sub chicken) and the pigs in a blanket and I've loved it all. The shrimp & salmon pasta and nuts & berries salad are my absolute favorites! Great for any lunch or dinner. If you like cocktails, try their house lemonade. The other thing that sets them apart are all of their events. Kentucky Derby Day, Opening Day, Saint Patrick's Day - all of these days are PACKED and just the "hot" place to be. It's a really great energy. Overall, I think this place is great. I would highly recommend it on all levels!

Was just passing through before flight out of Denver but would have loved to check this place out on a game day. The restaurant is big. It has a lower level restaurant and volleyball/cornhole/outside fun area and a rooftop bar/outside dining/views area. We sat upstairs and the set up was great-covered bar in the middle with doors open to outside. Enough fun beers on tap to try. The other people at my table ordered the chicken and waffles, burger, and the brat and they all looked awesome. I had the philly with chex mix mac n cheese and it was so good. Not just a steak um like what I normally find at sports bars. Bread was soft, cheese was melty, and the sandwich was delicious! Service was very fast and the servers didn't even gripe when we switched tables mid-order to get out of the sun. Prices seemed pretty reasonable and there were a decent amount of people there for it being a Monday afternoon. Hope I get the chance to make it back one day.

Service, the lack of, is the worst of any bar or restaurant in Denver I know. The food is decent, for what it is...American bar food kicked up a notch. Specialty drinks are at best average. I would avoid Sunday entirely, and probably any weekend night, as the patrons are worse than not being served. If you do want to check out the view still, try a mid-week happy hour.

Let me just open by saying that I rarely frequent bars. In fact, I can't remember the last time I went to one. Seriously. I'm that lame. This place reminds me a bit of a big frat party, in the best and worst possible ways, which made for fun and for even more fun spectating. We went for a friend's 35th, which happened to be "Sunday Fun Day". There were volleyball games, beer pong and a dunk tank to enjoy. We hit up all but the volleyball. If you want to wrestle another girl in a kiddie pool? Have at it! Do you want to play tug of war? They have that too. Want to put the birthday boy in the dunk tank? Don't worry, you can make that dream a reality! Some beer pong? Sure. I really don't drink much (see opening paragraph), so the 1 blue Long Island I had did the trick. When I was done, absolutely no one except the group I was with gave me a hard time for not drinking more. I also had pigs in a blanket (decided to "f" nutrition today and throw caution to the wind), which were also pretty decent (and served with a scrap of salad in case you want to pretend your meal has some nutritional value). The service was great, and our server was actually very light hearted and friendly despite the many trips he had to make for our high-maintenence group (more syrup, butter....you name it, we requested it). I ultimately arrived at the 4 star mark because I feel like there is something for everyone here. If you want to be low-key and take in a great view, you'll love the rooftop deck with one of the best views I've seen in Denver. If you want to get in on a little more of the action, you'll find something to do on the "lawn". Perhaps I'll be back sometime for a drink before a Rockies game (the stadium being a short walk from the View House). Cheers!

Amazing food. Especially for a huge sports bar! All the ingredients are natural (Nimann Ranch etc) which was surprising to find in what I thought was a bar- but I guess Denver has stepped it up in the last years. A great Kale salad - which I like to get with a generous portion of very fresh Salmon. This is really a casual restaurant hidden in a huge bar. Great crowd with lots of different rooms and areas to explore. My favorite is the Rooftop patio with an amazing city view. It is my new favorite lunch spot.

The food is mediocre and almost guaranteed that you will need to send it back. The drinks are watered down and over priced. On top of that, the "security" will make sure that you fit heteronormative/homophobic stereotypes, even though the hostesses and wait staff don't care. Will never spend another dollar here and will make sure that everyone knows how much of a shit hole disguised as a nice establish this place really is.

This place has great view of Coors field, beautiful upper and lower patio area, and spacious yard with Cabanas where you can play games and socialize with friends. Service was a little bit slow, but that's understandable for a busy Saturday night. I heard a comment from one of the employees that he was working 16 hours and that might be the reason why they are so burnt out. The food was decent, quality was acceptable, and menu has a good amount of options.

Have been here a number of times. Without question this location and Lodo's Bar and Grill are the two best spots during Rockies season. That aside, a nice sized group of us made our way here for UFC 168 (Rousey vs. Tate II). Other than the fact that we were cheering for Miesha Tate, it was an awesome experience. As it was dumping snow that night, the upstairs patio and downstairs turf lounge were off limits. That is a lot of square footage lost. The bar staff and servers all offered tremendous service despite the crowd. We shall return when Rockies season fires back up!

While I was at this bar with a couple of my girl friends I needed a glass of water. There was an area at the bar with a soda gun and water glasses. Presumably a place to hydrate. As I was filling a glass with water the bar tender thought it was funny to shoot a bunch of water at me. Rude, unprofessional, and I think there are much better places to go out in Denver.

  • Miriam M.

View=amazing (sitting up top is a must if the weather is good). Service=decent (bartenders were pretty nice and server was honest when giving advice about what she thought was the best for your buck, although not the quickest) Atmosphere=trendy decor/young crowd Food=overpriced/not flavorful (seriously so disappointing for a place that looks great)

The owner of this place has done five things very well...the outside playground, the "above" roof deck, the cool interior design, the wide open garage doors, and hiring great staff. The place is designed to give LoDwells (LoDo Dwellers) a suburban-type local hang out (that neighborhood bar you walk to) as well as, a place to visit during the Rockies season. It does this very very well. I came in a week ago during one of the many Urban Races being ran in Downtown Denver, using The View House as a stop. Loved it. I came back after the race, had a great time, enjoyed some pretty tasty twists on appetizers, had a great server and the manager came over to chat. Sounds like the perfect first time visit to me.

Viewhouse is a good bar and is a great new asset to lodo .... People were getting sick of tavern and lodos, and viewhouse is a great alternative .... It's pretty much the spot to be at right now on a fri or sat night and Sunday funday during the summer ... I'm getting to old for this shit so I don't frequent here often but I still dabble

  • Bridgette M.

I went for a meetup group here and see why they call it the Viewhouse. The top patio you can see the city while eating at a table or chilling at the bar. It was a little busy so I never was able to get drinks including from the waitress. I was there 4 hours and had some guys go up to the bar to buy some since it was so frustrating. Other than that I had a awesome time, met a lot of connects, and a lovely view.

Pretty cool place with cool grass area and nice rooftop views. The food is blah but the bar is a cool spot. Drinks are pricey...it's a Lotus club/bar so what do you expect? My girlfriend reserved some space for her going away party a few weeks prior. We show up, on time, and our spot is taken. Manager said that because it rained people started coming inside and there was no way to tell them they couldn't sit there. Uh ok. Instead we got 5 booths along the wall and he kept on coming over asking to have 1 then 2. Like I said, typical Lotus.

View great, food was fine, nothing special - I had the fish and chips. Hated that my draft beer was in a plastic glass and not a real glass. I would have rated 4 stars, but the thing that really turned me off was the attendant in the women's bathroom. Really, an attendant that is kind of in the way, did not take kindly to my refusal of her service (and obviously a tip). This was in the middle of the day - a lunch and a beer. Don't feel like I need, or the Viewhouse needs, a bathroom attendant.

  • Michael J.

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. Sure. the view is fine. The outdoor area and the rooftop are cool...but this place is probably the worst place I've ever been to. From a pure customer service standpoint, it couldn't get any worse...and consider that a very bad thing, because I travel more than the normal person, and I eat, hang out, and see shows (DJ's, etc) at bars, clubs, all over the country. The fact that Francois and crew have the nerve to build ViewHouse 2.0 in DTC is more than annoying. The original location on Market should close down, be sold, and run by new management. So..where should I begin? My first review of this place was deleted, for unknown reasons. The food here is decent though, and honestly, the only reason I ever bother going. Wait...I take that back. I also have friends that work there, and sometimes I go see them, but EVERY TIME I go I have an issue with someone, and it's usually someone who works there. The past time I went I was standing by the volleyball court watching my friends play volleyball, minding my own business, and one of the girls enlisted to help run volleyball pushed me out of the way for no reason. Her name is Skyler something and she's probably one of the rudest, least customer service oriented people I've ever come across in my life (again, I spend A LOT of time all over the country at bars, clubs and restaurants mind you, so I'm basing this on my own experience, and also my own opinion of what an employee's customer service should be). Well...after I took exception to the fact that she pushed me for no reason, and only offered a scowl in my direction instead of an apology, she also offered that I "go the F on somewhere" and continued to run her mouth at me for what seemed like a mind-numbing and complete brain-cell-killing eternity. So... then, it gets better. Her "boss"...because when you organize a volleyball game at a low-class bar on a Sunday afternoon of drinking and debauchery, you need bosses...anyway, her boss then started running his mouth at me, without a care in the world for the way she talked to me or treated me (disrespectful) he kept talking and talking and talking, while also asking me at the same time if I could drop it and not mention it to Francois because it's their first year running volleyball and they'd hate to be fired. And yet, no apology. None...nothing. You have NO IDEA who you're talking to... in my book, everyone should be treated and talked to the exact same way regardless of who they are. I'm not special, but when ViewHouse closes and you need a job maybe I'll hire you...or not. Both of them should be fired based purely on the fact that they have zero concept of customer service. At the ViewHouse they're probably managers in training or something. Actually, take that back...one of the managers is awesome. He's a guy that used to work at Vinyl and a few other places around town. I can't remember his name, but he bought me a shot one morning when I came in for brunch. And then, that same day, I was later kicked out by Francois son and the heavy guy with bleached blonde hair who checks ID's up front. Again, neither are savvy in the least at the nuances of customer service. Wait..let me back up. I wasn't actually kicked out. I was denied re-entry, if that makes any sense. So, I sat there and ate my $20 breakfast, which was delicious, piled on a couple of overly priced cocktails, which were alright, bought a few shots for friends, and had ran up probably $100 at that point....went outside to meet a friend and then was denied re-entry. Mind you, I wasn't the least bit intoxicated nor was I causing any problems. How is this possible you ask? Well...the friend I went to meet works security DIRECTLY across the street at LoDo and he has tattoos. Ahhhh....so now it makes sense. Oh, so check this out. I don't actually have any tattoos myself, did I mention that? Did I also mention that I work/own part of a club in downtown Denver? Probably not, but does it really matter? I chose to spend MY money at ViewHouse. When mentioning these facts we were told to "go the F on somewhere" or be arrested. No joke. Customer service at it's finest. Not only offended and wanting to stand in a long line to file discrimination lawsuits against yet another Francois owned venue, I also won't be bringing my massive piles of cash around to spend on your wares again anytime soon. No big deal, right? I mean, at least you still have Suite200...wait no. 24K...wait no. Chloe (will close eventually) and as soon as the complaints start piling up with the city of Denver, and DPD gets tired of constantly being outside the place 24/7..and when people start realizing ViewHouse has the worst customer service on the planet..this place will also close. Mark my words. RIP.

We ate here yesterday before the ball game. Its located within a very short walking distance to Coors Field. Glad we did, the food was great. I had the brat, and I gotta say, it was cooked to perfection, as far as brats go anyway. It was complimented by corned beef, carrots and hot peppers, sort of like a Chicago style dog, but tastier. Wife had the fish tacos, and Pop had the Rueben. Can't speak personally about their food, but they said it was really good. The service was great, a friendly gal, Gloria. Very cute and good personality. We always give the servers a hard time, she was a good sport. We appreciate good customer service; Gloria was was spot on. Thank you, Gloria!

Wearing a tie, nice sport coat, and being 51 years old, I attempted to enter the restaurant at 10:30pm. I was refused entry. Because I wear earrings. So pot is legal in Colorado but you can't wear earrings to a bar? Now that's precious. I've spent about $600 in this place this year according to my credit card statements. In 2015 it will be $0.

This place is terrible I thought I was in the south in the 60s they want to keep certain types of people out. When I was there I felt like I was on the back of the bus if you know what I mean. I am surprised I didnt see separate bathrooms or drinking fountains...I guess that would be to extreme!! The staff was rude and made us feel like we shouldnt be in the place I tell you what they wont get any more of my green money...

I'm kind of surprised this place has such a low rating! It's a pretty comparable addition to the other bars in that area, but it's not that bad! Cons: It will always be crowded on the weekends and before a Rockies game, the food is just so-so, the drinks are a little pricey, and it's the typical Lo-Do crowd. Pros: It's HUGE so it can handle the crowds, there seems to be a lot of staff so not too much waiting, THE ROOF, and that ridiculously cool fake-grass area where you can play games. All in all, this is really the perfect place to pregame a Rockies game, or maybe to do a Sunday Funday downtown. I seriously doubt I would ever go there just to grab a drink with some friends and catch up, but it works in the right situation.

This place is too large for their own good. There are plenty of friendly servers but there's also a lot of rude ones. It seems like they are annoyed of all the people coming in and wandering around trying to find the right spot to settle in. They only want to provide the good service when you're actually in their section but if you're not in their section keep moving because they don't really want to help. I also found that because the place is so large when its slow they don't always see their tables.... Adding on to this note because I recently came here on Friday with a client for lunch and we sat at our table for over 5 minutes and not once did someone aknowledge us, help us, serve us, etc. There was also another person in the same situation as us where he stood next to the bar wondering what to do or how he could get service. Read the rest of the reviews...they're all the same...Shotty service.

I am only posting for the bar/atmosphere. Have yet to eat here. Came to view house on Friday night and had a blast! They played incredible music and also had lots of TVs to watch the NCAA games that were on. Returned on Sunday (Easter) and sat down on the nice couches on the rooftop deck. I think my visits will be limited (SO MANY PEOPLE) but I know that I will have a good time any time I come. Note: I saw somebody order the wings and they looked SOOO good. I will def try next time.

From Nebraska found this place on Westword.com for St. Patrick's day (the actual day) sat at the bar and Eric introduced himself and he made our vacation absolutely great. He was very friendly even though we didn't know anyone and we were new to the area. I would come back to this place for every visit to Denver and tell all my friends. Eric had great customer service and did exactly what a great bartender should do!! Love this place and the service, and the atmosphere. What more can you ask for!!!

I just got back from the ViewHouse where we watched the World Cup. I was told twice by the security guards that I needed to turn my hat facing forward as it was part of the dress code...Meanwhile an obnoxious individual cheering on the team dropped the F bomb about 30 times and the security guards did nothing..... Wow Priorities You seriously need to do something about your so called "dress code" a backwards hat...REALLY?!?!?

I didn't realize ViewHouse was such a cool place. So cool that a clean-cut guy with his ears pierced isn't welcome. It was for the better though, we ended up at Mile High Spirits (2920 Larimer) and had a great time! Moral of the story: ViewHouse is a joke, do yourself a favor a keep on walking to ANYWHERE else!

After we showed up with a party of 15 they told us to head upstairs. We found a table for 15 but told us we would be more comfortable in the living room area and moved us all down there upon which we sat down and the couch smelled of vomit and we told them and they said "well it was New Years last night" and did nothing to earn our business back.

This is the worst place for NYE! Save your money and do not ever come here. They oversold the tickets and a lot of people did not even make it in! The bouncers at the doors were cursing at people and there was no apparent organization with the lines outside. People were just shoving and being ignorant. The friends that made inside left minutes after because it was extremely crowded. I heard they never got any drinks and later found out that balloons did not even drop at midnight. Additionally, we were all over dressed because most people just walked in with hats, jeans, and hoodies. overall, this is the worst place to spend NYE !!!! Save your money!! New York Clubs for NYe are more organized than this nonsense as well as less chaotic.

Tattoos not allowed. This place would've been cool to check out. But you aren't allowed inside if you have visible tattoos, above the collar, or have to many showing. Really stupid to enforce a tattoo dress code!

strictly event speaking: each year i coordinate a client appreciation event for the agency i work at. we bring in on average 250-300 guests. this year we sought out the viewhouse at one of the owners requests. at first i laughed at the idea because my only experience at the viewhouse has been drunken late nights when lodo's finest are in full swing. and by finest i mean douchiest. when we connected with david doan, the gent in charge of event management, he almost single-handedly changed my mind re: viewhouse. he is amazing. touring the facility, sans DB's, i got a different vibe from the venue. its simply beautiful. we liked it so much we scheduled a tasting, asking the chef to prepare some favorites as well as get creative for our event - - knocked it out of the park. delish! e.g. honey glazed short rib skewers, candied pecan goat cheese, jalapeno deviled eggs, yeah! our event has since taken place - of the three years/events i've coordinated for my agency - i've never heard such good feedback re: food, venue, entertainment, etc. since the party many of our employees have gone back for lunch/happy hour. to be fair it's hard for lodo establishments to keep out the delta bravos. in the mean time i'll certainly go to the VH for lunch, after work drinks, and early week nights to avoid the thursday-saturday night crowd. i avoid all of lodo during those times really ;)

We went there last Saturday for lunch because I wanted to check it out before they open the one near my house. The concept is definitely cool and the food and drinks I had were all great, but I probably had some of the worst service here I've had in a long time. It started out well enough but after we placed out order and got our food service was literally nonexistent. We sat there for almost 20 minutes and at some point just resigned ourselves to the fact that she might not actually back. Finally we had to grab a manager to get our check. He didn't even apologize all he said was to give him a few minutes and he would have our check out. I really wanted to like this place and maybe I just had a bad experience. Hopefully the bad service doesn't follow them to their new location opening near my house in the DTC because I'm still pretty excited about that one.

Have been here a number of times - the view (as the name implies) is better than any other rooftop bar in LoDo's. Always good food, but service can be hit or miss depending on the night or the sports game on TV. But the other night, I was turned away for not taking out my earing. Seriously!? Hats, sure. Solid colors? Sure. I understand the need for a dress code, but seriously, an earing?? Needless to say, the bar is still a good place for daytime events, and can be fun after dark when you can get in

I hosted a group dinner at the ViewHouse and they were fantastic to work with! A custom menu was designed and it was very reasonable. The staff was hospitable and quick. I've been there for sports event and its always hopping. More people should come for lunch, which is a hidden treasure!

We came here for a quick cocktail after walking around the city and before catching our flights home. I had a Moscow Mule that was delicious, and my friend ordered something with strawberry puree in it. The bartender informed her they were out of it, but instead made her a drink with muddled fresh berries that was great! The views from the rooftop are awesome, and it's located right next to Coors Field. I'm not a bloody mary fan, but even I thought the bloody mary bar looked delish. Although we didnt eat, the food we saw come out looked yummy. I'd come back if I'm ever in Denver again!

No earrings for men? Seriously? Plastered TVs with crowds up the wazoo. An overhyped discriminatory bro bar that I will never return to.

Some of the worst service I have ever had. Went in and asked for a new drink and said I wanted to keep it "affordable". Bartender made the drink and it was by far the worst drink I have had. Oh and it cost $15, I wasn't even able to drink the rest after I tried one sip. I told the bartender that I shouldn't have to pay for it which she took as an insult and had me thrown out of the bar. It was my first drink of the night so I was far from intoxicated! I will never return to this bar and highly suggest you to refrain from going as well!

This place tries to hard. It's layout is terrible and tries to compete with it roof top with The Tavern across the street. They want you to play games outside. Why do bars feel you need to play games like bean bag toss? Only good time to go if you must would be opening day and other day games.

Before I write my review I want to say I haven't had a bad experience here. Maybe when I was younger I would have passed through here but this place is near unbareable. The service is terrible. The staff in general knows little about customer service and the prices are ridiculous. I go downtown often and find this place to be on the low end. It's owned by Francois which makes sense because it's taken the place as the shithole that used to be known as 24k. Or current shithole Chloé.

David helped to make sure that our office celebration was perfection! He organized the event which included a plethora of beverage choices, a spread of several unique appetizers that were well prepared, and the reserved seating on the rooftop. Everyone in our office was beyond pleased and kept saying how great the event turned out. There was no pressure when it came time to either exit or extend our stay. We chose to continue the celebrations long past our scheduled departure of course! I would highly recommend The Viewhouse to host your next event, party, happy hour, or just night out. Thank you again for the great experience!

Good spot for beers before the game and getting wasted with a view! Place is beautiful but service is god awful. I over heard the bartender down sell a soup!! Lol who does that?? I've eaten there an in my last stop I refused to eat though I was very hungry. I did see the gentle man next to me get the waffles slider that on the menu states it has two waffles like a sandwich( well that's definitely not the way it came) it was an open face waffle sandwich salad. Looked horrible and the look on the guys face was priceless... There was a shift change and I must say that the girl from Kentucky is a lot more pleasant than the rest of the staff. Place is cool like I said for the view and pre game but it's definitely not a restaurant. Need to step your game up when it comes to service! That place could be epic but it's not....:( sorry view house... I'll be back when the Rockies start again.

This place is a JOKE! Who is in charge? We went on Sunday and it has a great vibe outside with all the lawn games but the bartenders were either drunk or stoned. They could barely talk, they threw my credit card at me and then when placing an order, told me to be quiet so they could listen to the song that was playing! Beers were warm and when asked for is, the bartender rolled her eyes at me. Then, a young girl was passed out in the bathroom stall and a bouncer came in to help. Do you know where we saw this girl taken, she was DUMPED on the sidewalk, still passed out...that is safe and I have nothing positive to say about the cops that were standing right there at the entrance and saw it!

Let me first say that rarely am I motivated enough to write a Yelp review, but I just can't stop myself this time. View House is by far the coolest bar I've ever been to! The downstairs outdoor game area--- who thought of that?!?! They deserve a prize! I've never seen a bar like this, and honestly this bar alone and all the cool stuff happening in it makes me want to move to Denver. The rooftop deck-- amazing views, clean, full of people but not crowded, was able to get a drink from the bar fast, decent prices... No complaints here! Oh yeah, the bartenders up there are nice to look at too. You always hear about Denver having hot guys... yup, it's not a lie. Just go to View House and check out the guys behind the bar, brown haired guys with beards... I think I'll stay here and never go home. Honestly, when I went there I was tipsy and remember wondering who put that many stairs in a bar... but cardio workout aside, this place rocks! Wish we had anything remotely similar in Hawaii. You Denver kids are lucky!

This place is the perfect daytime bar! Food is good, drinks are decent, and the outdoor area is AWESOME!! I come here with some friends at least once a month and it's always a blast. They also throw a pretty fun derby party if you're into that kind of thing.

PROS: - if you don't know where to go on a monday, tuesday, wednesday, or any day of the week, come here. You'll always expect to see a crowd here. - perfect for Sunday Funday. They have giant beer pong, volleyball, corn hole, and a live DJ. Lots of fun especially during the summer. - lots of young, single, and attractive people. - drinks are really affordable. - this is probably the most popular in Downtown Denver right now - Ask for Michael, Best bartender there! CONS: - not the right place if you're looking to dress up and go all out. It's very very casual here. - food is alright. Bland. What you'd normally expect for bar food. - gets extremely packed on the weekends after 10PM.

Stopped by for the first time yesterday for happy hour. Sat upstairs. The patio was great on a nice sunny day. They have a few choices for happy hour drinks. I ordered an orange infused vodka($4), it was very good. My spouse had a glass of wine ($3). I only wish they had more Colorado beers on happy hour. They only had one beer on the happy hour menu. Tried the pretzel bites which were very good. I was very impressed by the server, sorry but can't remember her name, brunette with purple in her hair and a nose piecing serving the south side of he patio. She did a great job selling the place to new visitors to the tavern and service was quick and friendly. I would go back. They may want to expand the happy hour menu, there is a lot of competition in the area.

We had a company party at Viewhouse and had a great experience! The food was incredible, not the typical food you would normally expect from a "buffet-style" set up and the options were very unique. The staff was also extremely friendly and on top of it when it came to service. Looking forward to going again for Opening Day!!

Ugh. I want to like View House but I'm beginning to think it's not going to happen. Made it in again around 5:30 for happy hour. My table was conveniently ignored until 5:59 and then told "happy hour ends at 6, and I could never make it to the computer before the prices switch." Add to that the fact that we were given no menus of any sort and when we asked what was on the invisible menu our server rolled her eyes and sighed as she explained the beers on tap. The sun was shining and I wasn't in the mood to be annoyed so we asked a second time for menus. We decided on the Spinach Dip appetizer, thinking we could always order more if necessary. Welp, we definitely needed more! The appetizer included a snack size ziploc bag of tortilla chips and a huge bowl of mostly air and a thin layer of spinach dip lining the bottom.... For $9. We sucked it up, paid our bill and walked to an establishment down the street to continue our evening.

These 2 stars are for the rooftop deck view only! I went here on a weeknight for a cool place to sit and have dessert with my girlfriend after class. The waitress brought us to a table with no menus so I asked if she could bring us one. She brought us 23. 23 menus on the table for two people.... what??? Girlfriend ordered a drink and I ordered a dessert and a NON alcoholic beer as I don't drink alcoholic drinks. We waited 45 minutes for my drink which turned out to be regular beer (first time in 4 years I'd taken a sip of an alcoholic drink) and another 45 for the dessert. She kept coming by our table during that time asking if we had received the dessert yet. I thought the job of the waitress was to bring out the orders. Either way, we really did enjoy the view, but truly hated the service and food. Would not recommend to anyone with any real expectations. EDIT 6/6/13: I was contacted by the marketing director at View House and received a long and heart felt apology. I have been informed that changes have been made to the way orders are prepared on the rooftop deck. I will be giving them a second chance because of their response and will edit my review if necessary after my second visit.

First of all, the View House is a restaurant/bar that I'd recommend for the younger crowd (early to mid 20s). We went when there wasn't a Rockies game though, so there is a chance it caters to peeps of all ages during that time. The food and drinks at this place are just average. We got the sliders, fries, queso and a hot dog appetizer. All were just mediocre. For drinks we had shots, mixed, drinks and beer. I thought the shots were a little weak., and the word on the mixed drinks was that they were below average. The pluses about this place are the service, the decor, and the entertainment. The service - although they were slow to take our order, our waitress was really fun and attentive once she starting serving us. The decor - the spacious, brick, warehouse sort of feel was open and hospitable. The entertainment - this place catered to the 20 somethings, offering an entire back lawn of sand for volleyball, tug of war, corn hole and more. As it got later, people arrived dressed up in ridiculous costumes. Maybe that is just the norm for the downtown Denver bar scene. There was a group that appeared to be dressed as the Fruit of the Loom characters, another in a Superman costume and another dressed as Santa Claus. All in all, it was a good time.

I love places like this. Cool rooftop patio. VERY cool lawn area with games that is a great place to hang out (especially on Sunday). Food was basic bar food, but tasted good. I only visit Denver a couple times a year and I WISH San Francisco or environs had places like this. Gives me a great excuse to cruise into town more often.

    (4)
  • Jared B.

The view here is really good and they have a lot of entertainment. I can't stand that the drinks come in plastic cups, even if you sit at the bar, and the food all sounds really really good by the description, but it really is just mediocre bar food. I try not to eat here anymore if I can avoid it.

I came here around lunch time on a Friday when my brother was in town and we ended up with a great server who was really friendly and seem to have a large area to cover but was always out and about checking on us and making sure we had everything we need. Atmosphere is a 5. I've only had food once and I'd say it was a 4.5. And prior staff was a 4 as well.

  • Lindsey B.

Waited 20 minutes for a drink when it wasn't even busy. My guy ordered a Mosco Mule - served in a plastic cup - it was 3 in the afternoon, mind you. Waitress was rude, at best. Menu looks interesting - not likely to ever order from it. We tend to enjoy places with excellent service - and there are plenty in the neighborhood to choose from. In short, will not return.

If the View House does one thing right, it's the layout of the space. Truly some of the best views in Denver, and lots of fresh Rocky Mountain air both inside the restaurant and out on the rooftop patio. The service is just OK, and I would say the same about the food. The crowd is awfully douche-y, but completely expected for a Lodo hot spot!

What can I say it's 2014....for them to discriminate against people with body mods, hair color, tattoos, ear plugs....Shame shame shame....... a friend of mine was asked to leave because he had ear plugs and tattoos. Why would anyone want to go to a place that judges people by the way they look?

Nice sports bar with lots of TV's and beautiful outdoor recreation area. I had a burger that was just average, nothing special. The waitress was nice and very helpful. I can see View House from the 9th floor of my building and I'm always entirely jealous of the people hanging out on the roof deck. Today I was one of those people lunching on that roof deck and it was great! Cool spot; I love the decor and the outdoor area on the 1st floor has a volleyball court (astro turf) as well as some lounges around the outline of the court. Their menu has a good variety; I chose the blackened chicken club with seasonal veggies; YUM! Nice guacamole flavor and I really liked the veggie variety of fingerling potato, mushrooms, asparagus and peppers. I want to come back here at night and chill...

I went here with my hot girlfriend to get some sun and drinks. They had a bottomless bloody Mary for $14. I ordered that and it is a good value, but not very good. Tomato juice and vodka. It could use some help with extra ingredients, which were not available. Bring a bottle of steak sauce if you do this option. I drank 4 or 5 to get my moneys worth. Played some giant Jenga, then went home and made out with my girlfriend.

Brad - who claimed he was the owner - this one is for you. I know, a 1-star review. Please read the whole thing before jumping to conclusions. All in all the place is not bad. It was definitely overfilled when I was there but you could see what they were trying to do. The bartenders were quick and friendly and the layout is pretty sweet. It was filled with the usual LoDo characters you would expect, you know the type. Mostly dudes, though, so heads up on that. It's basically just Downtown Tavern on steroids. So if you want a juiced up more crowded Tav, go for it. The 1-star goes to the man who claims to make it all possible, Brad. Brad, you're a jerk. Why? My girlfriend and I purchased drinks at your last call which was at the usual time of roughly 1:40 AM, only to have you come up to us about 2 minutes later and demand - in an incredibly rude tone - to 'Put your drinks down now and head to the front, it's time to leave.' I checked my phone - 1:42 AM - showed you, and tried to explain we literally JUST purchased brand new drinks at last call, and need a few more minutes. You were not pleased. 'I'm the owner. If you don't leave now we'll have to force you out.' Brad, are you serious? You want us to pay for drinks at your last call, NOT finish them, and leave? At 1:42 AM? You must be delusional. Coming from a previous cocktail bartender who's dealt with his fair share of bad-tempered (and good!) owners, you have the sh*ttiest idea of guest service ever. Just shameful, man. Shameful. Can't recommend your spot in good conscience after that.

We went to View House last week for a large birthday party. Terrible idea! When we arrived no one seemed to know what was going on. When I asked the hostess about our reservation she rolled her eyes, said up there to the right, and pointed. When we finally figured out what table was ours (no thanks to the staff) we started introductions with the other people, only to find out that the staff had placed two separate parties at the same table! Come on, it's not that hard, even more so when our reservation was made pretty far in advance. After finally getting things under control we were greeted by our fantastic server Todd. He was the best part of the night. Todd gets 5 stars. The reservation was made for 16-20ppl the table however was set for max, 10. We ended up on the higher side with 20. At this point we'd run out of room and who I believe to be the manager asked other tables around us to please move, so we could have the tables. How embarrassing! This place is massive, with a little preparation all of this could have been avoided. The food sounds amazing on paper, but don't be fooled that's where it stops. I think the location of View House is fantastic and will do well because of that. If you're looking for decent service, and good food, this isn't the place. There are so many things I could talk about that went south in just a few hours of being at View House, but I already lost that time. I don't want to loose any more.

Went here for lunch earlier in the week and you can sit anywhere you want, so we headed to the top floor. With all the windows/sliding walls open there's no staying cool, but occasionally the breeze carried in water from the misters and that felt nice. So, a group of 7 with questions and ordering take a little bit of time. The have a soup of the day, but the chef didn't feel like making one according to our server.... My friend and I shared their Chicken & Waffles (juicy deep fried Red Bird chicken over two buttered waffles smothered in Stranahans syrup and finished with lemon tossed wild arugula) and the Slow-Braised Short Rib Poutine (skin-on fries topped with slow-braised short ribs, pickled red onions, fried egg, three cheese fondue and home-style gravy) and we got 2 sides of their mac & cheese for everyone to try. The Poutine was really good. The meat could have been a little more tender, but it all was rich and flavorful. The Chicken & Waffles too was really good. A little strange that they only served 1/2 of a full Belgium waffle... salad was tasty. Lastly, had to get dessert. Only 3 options so we went with the Skillet Cookie and it was freaking good. I'd like to go back at night and on a Sunday brunch for some more fun.

I've only been here at night after the restaurant closes, after 10. The atmosphere is crazy and packed. I've only been there 2 times and each time there was a line. The Viewhouse is three stories and the place is nicely taken care of. The music the DJ plays is good, a mix of dance with classic rock, to hip hop, R&B and current hits. There are a lot of attractive people both of the times that I went which also makes it a great place to check out especially if having a night out with friends! The only gripe I have is with the bartenders and their service of customers. They are slow and are really bad at orders and getting them right (mixed drinks). Otherwise a good hangout for the weekend.

This place is garbage. First, the door man douche bag. I was wearing my hat backwards and the asshole made me turn my hat forward just so I could enter the place (God knows why) Then I proceeded to order a beer, it was flat and it had a god awful taste like the never clean their draft systems. I didn't even waste my time with the food because the beer was so bad I didn't want to attempt their food. Don't go here waste of time.

Unfortunately this review is for the view house in DTC. If you are looking for a diverse playlist, this is not the place to go. If I were a DJ and saw that the dance floor was empty, I think that would be a clue that whatever you were playing sucked. Btw they proclaim to not play hip hop and even the selection of top 100 is limited....on the other hand the bartenders are awesome, if you are looking to dance and have a good time, view house DTC is not my recommendation and sadly it's Labor Day weekend.

I've been to many types of events at Viewhouse and hosted a college alumni football viewing party, that was a huge success. Their staff is quick and attentive, drinks are solid and well priced. The rooftop patio has one of the best views of Denver and the foothills with a wrap around bar. Great spot!

I absolutely love the ViewHouse. They have a great atmosphere, the staff's always friendly, the prices are good and they throw great events. If you haven't been yet, it's definitely worth checking out. Make sure you make it to the upstairs patio!

I love the atmosphere at the ViewHouse! The upstairs patio bar has incredible view of Coors Field and you can't beat the new cabanas added do the downstairs Courtyard. We just attended a Jim Beam Pairing Dinner at the ViewHouse. The food, drinks and service were incredible! The ViewHouse is the perfect Ball Park District bar & restaurant.

I have been to the Viewhouse a handful of times, and each time I run into old friends and make new ones. They have a great happy hour and an extensive drink menu. If you like rooftop bars (who doesn't), you'll love the Viewhouse.

This place was awful on NYE. Not only did they jam pack way too many people into a space that couldn't accommodate all, but the lines were huge. I can only imagine how people felt if they had purchased tickets and were in line for most of the night in the freezing cold. The worst part was that it was impossible to move from bar to bar because they had placed tables for the 4 course meal they were offering in every section, including the dance floor. The bathroom lines were unorganized and the wait was ridiculous. I understand that it is hard to please a large diverse population, however, when security was needed the most...they weren't there especially with numerous fights that had occurred within the restroom. Since then, I have tried to contact management/security management at this viewhouse location, only to have been waiting 2+ more weeks for a response or even for a followup to see if I am doing okay after the incident that occured that night following the start of 2015. I have spoken to many individuals who work there to just have them write my name and number down, but no action has been taken. The least they could do is provide valuable customer service and have the decency to call me back. I will continue to go to lodos area, however, I will make sure to never attend this establishment again, as well as to spread the word to everyone I know that this place has gotten worse since their opening 2 summers ago.

I like this bar a lot. We have gotten burgers, mozzarella sticks, and the pulled pork sandwich. All were great! My favorite part, is the VIEW...duh...And the atmosphere. They keep it fun and fast. Everyone is very friendly and even the bouncers are lighthearted, which is hard to find. This place is a must if you aren't going to be here long...Trust me...You'll be glad you did.

My new favorite spot in Denver. Great staff, great drinks (and drink specials), and by far the best Sunday Funday spot I've ever been too! I love their mobile app too, I downloaded it from the Apple App store on my iphone. They do push notifications and notify people about concerts, backyard games, and all the other events happening. Impressive marketing, damn. No wonder there is a line around the building every time I drop by there.

Yes, the view and the grass area are great. The service is terrible. I have been there several times, as I try to support my neighborhood establishments. I keep hoping things will improve.....is management paying attention? Please, please buy more umbrellas for the roof top!! People fight over them - literally!! The food is decent. I recommend the kale salad even though I wasn't allowed to order it until after 2 pm on Sunday, makes no sense!' I want this place to make it, I hope management is listening to the patrons!!

I prefer going to the Viewhouse during the day and in the Summer because it's warm and they have a lot of patio space as well as an outdoor area with AstroTurf where you can play "bear pong", volley ball, ladder balls, corn hole and many other fun activities. I went the other night and it was fun, we hung out at the fire pit outside which was really nice. I have eaten here a couple time and like it a lot better then some other places down there like Lodo's or Tavern, they have a better variety. The only thing that bothered me the last time we went was when my friend ordered drinks the bartender brought him a can of beer and not a draft, when he let her know he wanted draft she was really rude and said "Well you should have said that you wanted draft"... It kind of rubbed me the wrong way because as a bartender it is part of their job to take the order, and that means confirming it is correct before they assume it's something else and get upset. Overall, this in my opinion is a great place with a lot of people but more of a summertime place for me.

Fire pits, lots of room, volleyball, cornhole. Pretty sweet place! Very big place and they aren't lying when they say they have great views. Very close to Coors field as well.

You've got to have the Kale salad! It's got a peanut vinaigrette that is like nothing I've ever had! Add your protein of choice. I like both the chicken and the salmon.

5 stars for the atmosphere. Love the view, the patio, the various rooms and multiple levels. The service was great and the food was good. I like the wide selection with something for every occasion and appetite. The slushy drinks are delicious too. This will definitely be my (and just about everyone else's) new favorite warm weather hangout.

The food is horrible. I had the "calamari" and I use quote marks for a reason. The view rocks and the drinks are good but I'm never eating there again. Oh and the "service"? (again with quotes for a reason). We sat down at a table and had to finally flag down a waitress 20 minutes later and ask her if she was ours to which she replied "umm I can be". We ordered a drink and a water. She brought back the drink in 1 hand and came back with the water 10 minutes later. The place wasn't full by any means and most of the staff was just chatting the night away at the bar ignoring the patrons. Ridiculous management, terrible staff and horrible food. Owned by Lotus Entertainment. Gee, go figure...

Been there three times for lunch. First time: Open only a week or so, went to rooftop, waitress was very pleasant. I ordered an item that I misread (the dog with BBQ pork on it) and will not fault my ignorance. Fries tasted fishy. 3 stars for that day. Second time: Southwestern Burger (I think it was called). Not quite cooked how ordered (too rare). Kitchen was slow, but not ridiculously so (maybe 20-25 min after order). Fries tasted like fish, let manager know. Staff very friendly. 2.5 stars that day. Third time (today): Ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. Our table of four waited over 40 minutes for the meal to arrive. Received a Patty Melt instead - It had chunks of raw meat in it. Friends salad had no chicken, which was to be included. Again, the staff was very friendly. 1 star today. Summary: Maybe this place is good for drinks, but they fail miserably at lunch. Although the staff is great, I cannot get past the failure of a kitchen. I do not see myself coming back again, after all I have given it three tries already...

Viewhouse is my go to spot. They have a great HH, amazing views of the city, and a perfect brunch setup to watch the Broncos! LOVE, LOVE the fact that they have a dress and conduct code and ACTUALLY enforce it.

The two stars are 100% attributed to the sweet deck and unique grassy area downstairs. Why? Because after roughly a half dozen visits here, I have had both great service and "good" food but also terrible service and inedible food. I will note, that the inedible food was graciously "taken care of" and the mgr did apologize, but also that the best service was from a server who was in training. I hope she sticks around and rub's off on the rest of the waitstaff. I understand that a new restaurant, especially one of this size, will take some time to get the kinks worked out between the front and back of house. So I will definitely improve my rating as my experience's improve. However, 4 out of the 6 times I have been in, the service has been terrible and I think I know why. When you staff your business with pretty faces and no regard for customer service, this is the result. It may work in the nightclub world, but diners expect a higher standard. I will continue to come here because I both live and work near by,and think it's a cool space with great potential. Also as promised, I will revise my rating as my experiences improve.

The space is awesome, great views and different layouts to appeal to everyone. Bartenders: meh. Waitresses? Thankfully we lucked out and sat in a section with a really cool waitress who knew how to handle our big party and was very attentive and remembered our orders. The crowd - still that LoDo type I can't stand - the seen and be seen d-bag and cheerleader types. Food wasn't anything spectacular. We debated going to Mile Hi Vienna around the corner between drinks/shots but stayed to give View House a shot. Next time, MHV for sure.

At first glance, it was definitely confusing. After dining there, I was still confused and may never know where the restrooms actually are. There is so much going on here, that I was actually a little anxious. I sat myself upstairs and someone eventually waited on me (why would you seat yourself?) I got to overlook the city which was beautiful, especially on this breezy, bluebird day. Also got to catch a great view of the festivities going on below- which next time I will be more than willing to participate! Looked like giant Jenga, cornhole, and some other games. Cool for football season shenanigans, especially cool to kill half-time. So you're probably wondering why I gave this place four stars? The food is freaking delicious. I ordered the brisket and was not disappointed.Everything from the bun to the delicious, delicious brisket was HEAVENLY. The amazing city view+ food alone = 4 stars, hands down. The staff was on point and seemed attentive. I feel like this place attracts a very diverse crowd, which is probably why the reviews seem hot and cold. As for me? It was exactly what I thought it would be. Minus the blueprints. I still am not sure whats going on with the space and dining area... and maybe some restroom indicators. Trust me, I looked.

This place is huuuuuuuge. There are several indoor and outdoor areas to choose from, the best and most crowded being the rooftop bar. The views are great, seating is nice and cushiony, but the 65 flights of stairs up there are a great reminder to slow your roll unless you want to be rolling down them going home.

Stopped in here on the way to the Rockies game. The view is impeccable. The food is jsut okay, but decent. The staff is friendly although my friend and i thought it funny they had so many bartenders just standing around. Typical drink menu for a downtown location. The place is pretty large and they have these awesome lounge areas. Great spot to hit before the game or grab a small bite to eat.

Came here for the first time for pre concert dining and drinks 1/17/15. get there way before crowds, not busy at all. order drinks and meal, food was good but the drinks horrible. waitress was good and asked if wanted more drinks but we had a variety that all sucked why would we want more of crappy drinks. so we pay bill and leave a tip. as we are leaving she walked up and asked if she could do anything different as we didn't leave a tip. this is bullshit!! i will tip very poorly to show my disgust before not tipping at all, well she did this in front of other patrons who wanted to go ahead and profile us and say we didn't tip. so we went ahead and double tipped her to show we arent cheap and we dont stoop to the level of this waitress and possibly her friends at table. we tell the manager on duty the bad drinks and the tip story he didnt seem to care either. Horrible treatment of first time customers.

Cool place to go with outside seating and nice upper lever bar, also outside. Also an outdoor turf field where you can play volleyball and other games. Good place to visit if your in the area. Although some local drunks thought it would be funny to spill beer from the upper balcony onto the tables below. Evidently this is like a game they play there.

The View House Sunday Funday is a must! We were in town visiting from L.A., decided to stop by for brunch before heading over to the Rockies game, found out about the Sunday Funday from our waitress, Megan (amazing service by the way) and decided to stay for the festivities. Long story long, we missed the baseball game! Great food, great service, great fun!!!!

Holy crap food. Wings tossed in romasco? More like $12 for wings in Franks hot sauce. Burger was ok but couldn't get the one I wanted due to a limited "game day" menu on a Sunday at 2pm! What a joke. 1st bartender I had was a pompous ass, 2nd didn't know any drink recipes & 3rd one was really nice & good. Weed out the trash servers & get a new cook...I mean "chef"...& this place might get better. But for now, much better places around here

Pretty good place, nice layout, the food was good (got a burger and a pretzel app). Definitely a good view, but my god was it packed. Way too packed. However, the crowd was older which was nice, not a lot of fist pumping like the rest of downtown.

Cool experience, nice bar and love the sliders! The food is actually pretty good for a bar, would recommend for those that want to experience Denver. The roof top is a plus, and for those addressing the dress code that is expected at any respectable establishment.

Expensive and terrible service. Server forgot one of our items and ruined lunch, the salad was all wilty and gross. Food and drinks are expensive $4.75 for a PBR!

  • Natasha V.

Excellent atmosphere before, during or after a Rockies game. Patio upstairs and down is fun and lively during a game. Drink prices are about $5.75 for a canned beer (They were out of o2 when we were there, which limited the type of drinks we could order.) Food was average, tasted Philly cheese (yum!) and the California burger was good as well..(too many toppings made it a bit hard to bite into). Over all it's a fun spot to hang out. Note to any guys wearing earrings, they make you take them out?!? Why I'm not sure. The staff was great and attentive when we visited.

Great place to catch before going to a game. Fun atmosphere, very young crowd. I would ask for shay as your server, she's a blast! Food is good, fast service. Even good to watch the games there. Patio is beautiful in summer!!

Get your best plaid shirt on, leave the Tavern and Lodos behind, because this "new" hots-pot has upped the game for Delta Bravo meetups! To be fair, I went twice. Thursday happy hour on the roof was pretty fun, and beers and food on the happy hour menu decently priced with a solid selection. The food was good. My mistake was coming back on Friday night. I know... What do you expect on this block of Market street? I was hoping for something that wouldn't just draw the crowd from the bars I avoid. On the outside, it looked like they might have something, but this Friday's experience was underwhelming. 1. Two Coors lights, or any domestic disgusting watery beer, was $9.50. No, that is not a 32 oz either. a glass of bad beer. I think some patrons were gladly paying as if being able to afford bad beer at a high price was a sign of status. I call it being fleesed. 2. 4-6 people working behind the bar... sounds great on a busy night! Oh wait, only 2 are bartenders, the rest just stare down and wash glasses. OK, well I will order from the bartender. Oops, they are watching basketball. 3. Our server was a sweetheart, but spread out too much. She took too long not because she wasn't working hard, she was, but she had to run all over the place. 4. I will give the kitchen props, solid food came out quickly. OK. I will come back for happy maybe. The roof is pretty sweet. But by sundown, I may hit up something else...

This place is the newest most popular bar in the LoDo area right now. My boyfriend and I came here around 6 one night for dinner. They have a very typical "bar food" menu, nothing special. The food wasn't very good, either. The Views are very nice at night time, but if you can handle the 20 minute wait for a drink after 10 pm and the 98% latino community occupying the entire place, then you might like it. I couldn't believe I was the only white person there out of 200 people.

A massive space. Rooftop is almost a twin to its rival across the way (Tavern) Seems to have a good sized open (performance?) space right next door. Could be a bene to their future. Uber fast waitstaff.

if I could give it a 0 I would. Iv been to this place before and it was almost unbearable. drinks are expensive for what they are and the bartenders are unprofessional. Even though I hate this spot my lady friend wanted to go and meet coworkers for a few drinks so I was forced to go along. She was let in but I was held back and told I could not get in because i had a nose ring. needless to say we all went to another bar and that business was lost because of their "casual" spot having a no facial piercing policy. OHH and did i mention that the two girls who walked in fount of my both had the same nose piercings ? Discrimination.

Oh man, I didn't know terrible places like this could still exist! Seriously one of the worst bars I've ever been to... EVER. Actually, one of the worst establishments of any type I've ever been to. I could see how someone could like this place if they were a popped-collar frat boy with too much of their parent's money to spend and desperately want to spend that cash on overpriced drinks. But I'm not. I went to college and actually WAS a frat boy about 5 years ago, and even this place would have been too much for me to handle back then. Who pumps techno music so loud that you have to literally put your mouth next to someone's ear and yell at 4pm on a Sunday when there isn't even a Rockies game the next block over? Who has staff that takes it upon themselves to give you the third degree on your ID because it has a small scratch in it? Who has staff that looks at you, smirks, and then gets back on their phone to text while you stand there staring at them with a $20 in your hand? Who thinks that some stained AstroTurf and warm Coors Light is a good time? ViewHouse does. I actually saw some drunk dudes shove a girl off her feet because she was in their way, and when she and her boyfriend complained, they got physically grabbed and shoved off of the property, then hauled back and not let go because they didn't pay their tab (when they were kicked out for no reason). All because they know their fellow-"bro" staff buddies. As much as I yearn to be made a second-class citizen because I don't flaunt money and scream "WOOOOO!" while guzzling overpriced crap drinks and get harassed by rude and intoxicated staff all while listening to crap music blasted as loud as an expensive sound system will play... I'll just go to one of the other DOZENS of bars nearby to get good service, cheaper drinks that are COLD, and staff that actually at least pretends to be happy I'm there. Viewhouse takes up a SICK location, but the d-bags that work there and run the place ruined it from the get go.

  • Olga V.

The worst parts of a frat party can be found here - very douche-y all around with poor service, pushy or stumbling drunk people and pretentious bartenders. There are other places in Denver with a good view and sexy crowd, so skip the View House.

  • Henna P.

Okay I Know I am a wee late reviewing this place, but after being home after my 5,000 mile roadtrip this summer I just have to give this place a shoutout. Denver was one of my stops and I have to say it was the most fun because of the Viewhouse. We had so much fun with Joe the viewhouse party guy! We brought champagne waterguns, played bear pong, volleyball, and tug-o-war (which was totally unfair for the guys hah.) I don't if it was the great people we met or place but Denver treated us really well! This place was awesome!

This is one of the most unsafe bars I have ever been too. I'm a little over 5 feet tall tried to walk around a guy going up the stairs and ended up being accosted. Tried to grab security since the guy wouldn't leave me alone and they didn't do anything. Continued to get followed around and tried to grab another person but their response was oh I'm sorry. I couldn't have left that place faster. Never in my life did I think a guy over 6 feet tall could get in a girls face and follow her around and it be okay.

This place is absolutely horrendous. The doormen are completely ignorant and can't even use simple problem solving skills- not to mention disrespectful to me when I asked where an ATM was so I could pay the cover. The girls who work at the door are also snobby and clueless. It's clear that the View House staffed completely worthless people off the street who have zero customer service skills or even simple math skills to figure out what your change should be. The only positive thing about it is the lawn area and rooftop. I hate nothing more than finishing a 40 hour work week at my corporate job and then be treated disrespectfully by some piece of garbage who probably dropped out of high school. Take a wakeup call View House, because the real working adults with college degrees are the ones paying your bills.

    (1)
  • D W.

Terrible place that employs ridiculous door staff. They were serious when they told me to take out my earrings to go inside. They are small 14 gauges and I was dressed in a santa suit. Avoid these idiots; many other better bars right next door.

    (1)
  • Kristol T.

Not a bad place! Burgers and appetizers were good but not when they all come out at the same time! The view from the deck was simply amazing and our service was okay! I would recommend some more staff training. Other than that, I would like to try again when I am not going to a Rockies game and see if anything is different. I definitely felt rushed to say the least.

This place is a great example of my confusion on how people run their businesses. How do people get hired that have no customer service skills...at all? Do you sit down at the interview and state "Yeah, I got tattoos. Yeah, I think I'm cool. Yeah, I most certainly do NOT have any idea how to treat people who are there to pay my bills."

  • Jontee M.

My husband & I went for dinner on a Thursday night at 6:30. We chose to eat inside because the roof was packed but we expected that. No biggie! As far as the food and service goes, I was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted at the door and our waitress was friendly & helpful. Both my husband & I got burgers. They were cooked perfectly, they were juicy and flavorful. Nothing special but really good. The only reason why I can't give them 5 stars though is because of the nats that invaded our table when the food arrived. Their were tons of them and it was incredibly annoying. In my book, bugs are not exceptable in a restaurant so I had to give it 3 stars.

    (3)
  • Sam S.

So my experience. On the roof the other night, order 4 drinks, $24.50. No problem. Hand him the $25 already in my hand and go into my pocket to grab some cash to tip. Before I can throw a few bucks down, he asks if I want my change back, and throws .50 at me from across the bar, landing on the people behind me. Interesting to see other people had their card thrown at them, must be a habit here. Save it for elsewhere.

    (2)
  • Van H.

Wow! Horrible experience from start to finish....the owners are the rudest, inconsiderate people in Denver, should have know from the start. The Lotus Group, I hate to say, are the biggest douches ever, they can't treat the people that work with them right, let alone the people that support their businesses. Anyway, Service was terrible, food was terrible, and that will be the last penny this group receives from me. It would behoove the rest of the city to avoid this place like the plague. The end.

    (1)
  • J L.

A friend and I went there for lunch yesterday before the Rockies game, so it was busy. It took 25 mins for us to get greeted and place a drink order, another 20 mins for said drinks to come out. I ordered a burger with a side salad, which is just a plate of lettuce. The food easily took 45 mins. As a server myself, I get what it's like when someone doesn't show up and you're slammed all shift, but where was the manager at that point? Everyone around us was visibly dissatisfied and angry at the service and the manager was nowhere to be found. The staff was pretty incompetent and slow, including whatever invisible manager was there, and the food was mediocre when we finally got it. I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.

I'm writing this review after having visited ViewHouse 7-8 times, so I'd like to think I've given it a fair chance. I'll start with the pros: 1. The size of the building. It's certainly not lacking space and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating/standing room. 2. Drinks are reasonable. You'll pay $4 for a well and $7 for a Long Island Iced Tea. Pretty good for downtown. They also have great beer cocktails for around $7-$8! 3. It attracts all types of people. If you've been to Chloe and Ginn Mill, you know they're about as different from each other as two nightlife establishments can get. ViewHouse attracts the regulars from both Chloe and Ginn Mill, so it obviously appeals to a wide range of people. Now for the cons: 1. Food/Beverage Service - Horrible. The first time I went was about 2 weeks after it opened, and it was for my birthday. I called ahead, told them that we'd have a big group and wanted to sit on the rooftop. They told us that it was open seating so we didn't need a reservation. When we showed up around 7:30, we went to the rooftop and pulled 5-6 tables together as we had about 20 people with us. The waitstaff didn't seem to complain, so they were at least accommodating in that regard. However, once we were seated, it took about 30 minutes to get our orders taken. Then about 40 minutes for sub-par food. My friend's french fries were terribly stale, and I actually never received my food. To rectify this situation, the waitress offered to give me a free drink. Not wanting to wait another hour to get something that was probably going to taste just as meteocre as what my friends had ordered, I accepted the offer for a free drink without complaint. After receiving the drink, we asked for the check. 45 minutes and 2 requests later, we still hadn't received the check. At this point it was about 10pm on a Saturday, so the rooftop was too busy to even find our waitress. We put cash on the table and left. Because it was so recently that ViewHouse had opened, we chalked this experience up to them just needing to work out the glitches and streamline their service and happily returned several additional times for only drinks, usually around 10:30-11pm. 2. Customer Service - Before my most recent visit, we learned that they started charging a $5 cover. I called on Saturday evening around 8pm to ask when the cover started. The woman I spoke to, Gabby, said it started at 11pm. My friends and I got to the gate at approximately 10:48 that night and were told it was $5. I told the bouncer that we'd been told it started at 11pm. His only response was a condescending smirk and "$5 cash cover." Because we were supposed to be meeting someone already inside, we couldn't leave, but certainly would have if we'd all been together. The customer service standards at ViewHouse are terrible. I understand that charging a cover is normal for many bars, and that's fine, but don't advertise the cover to be starting at one time and then change it arbitrarily hours later. And if you do decide to do that, at least have semi-friendly door staff there explaining that you had to start charging earlier for whatever the reason and that they're sorry for the confusion. The management know there's a lot of hype around their bar right now, so they don't care about treating people in an unpleasant and unprofessional manner because they know there's a hundred more people in line behind them. 3. Cleanliness - Originally, one of my favorite things about ViewHouse was that there was a dance floor upstairs as well as plenty of seating/standing room throughout the rest of the building. However, the last few times I've been, the dance floor has been so sticky that you can't actually pick up your feet to move. Additionally, there have been several times that they've had to close down some of the bathroom stalls because of vomit or other messes in them. In a place that big, they need to have the appropriate staffing to make sure all of the 6-7 women's stalls are operational all night. Overall, ViewHouse was great for the first month or so after it opened. It's a cool place for big groups, and it appeals to a lot of people. However, now that it's arguably the "it" spot to be in Denver, the management has stopped caring about customer service and just wants to get as many people in there as possible for as much money as they can get out of them and as little maintenance as they can put in. My recommendation: Steer clear of ViewHouse for the next 6 months or so. The view and expansive layout will always be there. Hopefully by then the food and service will have gotten better, and the culture of the company less pretentious.

Door men were very discriminating and disrespectful. We were all in nice DRESS CLOTHES, having a good time until they decided to throw us out (very rudely) because my boyfriends earrings were too big. Honestly I'm shocked this happened in this day in age, totally uncalled for. Not going back to a place with such ridiculous standards and judge mental opinions towards GOOD PEOPLE.

The only reason I gave View House 2 stars rather than one was because the building is awesome, and my bartender was nice. The good- the building is cool, great rooftop, and interesting outdoor patio that has grass to sit on like you're at the park. My bartender upstairs was nice, and quick. The bad- we had a large group, and our server continually ignored us, didn't take our orders ( i ended up ordering from bar), and was obnoxiously slow bringing us our checks. I split a sandwich with my friend (it was not very good) and when I asked for another plate the guy who brought out my food snorted at me and said he would see what he could do. I don't think bringing another plate is a huge request. Also they advertised a "brunch" menu, but only offered three things. No one liked their food very much, although i will say i did see someone not in my group with a breakfast burrito that looked good, so I regretted not ordering it. The drinks are absurdly expensive. I had a bloody Mary that was probably about 6 oz and was $6.50. We tried to voice our concerns to one of the employees (not sure if it was a manager) and they just said "okay" and that's it. I totally understand they're still ironing out problems, but that that's how you fix problems when just opening up, is by listening to your customers. I don't think i'll come back here pretty much ever unless there are some major changes.

Could not agree more... Location good and views great. However, waited 50 minutes for a refill on my drink after asking three times. U don't know If its understaffed or staffed with slow people . This place is probably the worst service I've had in Denver... And I'm hardly a picky person

I took my family here for dinner. The service was good. My wife had a great salad. I had the burger. I did some research on the burger they use, it's advertised on the menu as local, all natural Aspen Ridge. I googled Aspen Ridge on my phone and found it's made by JBS, the largest meat company in the world, based in Brazil (check them out wikipedia) A quick google check showed this company has a pretty nasty history, check JBS lawsuits. I'm not sure how beef from Brazil qualifies as "local"? So we won't be going back to this restaurant for hamburgers, but we will for the salads and the service.

LOVED this place! Visited Denver from Detroit and was so impressed with the indoor/outdoor spaces. We were on the rooftop before a Rockies game and it was super crowded, but the bartenders were totally on top of the huge crowd, especially our bartender, Matt. Will return when I come back to Denver!

Went to the View house for the first time 2 nights ago, (Wed.). Not a busy night, we were checking out how a few bars did there Moscow Mule. I can say that it was quite a disappointment ...... First off we were expecting a copper cup, which apparently you no longer get because a bunch of people have taken to stealing these fine vessels. But instead of the waitress informing us of the missing cups, she just brought them out in a flimsy plastic cup. Kind of misses the whole point of the Moscow Mule. When we asked about it all she had to say was sorry. I would not have ordered the MM if I had known we were not getting the copper mug to drink out of. Then we would have made our way to the next establishment. Some Bars are now resorting to asking for a credit card and informing patrons of a $25 deposit if the mugs come up missing.

I've been there twice now and I'm not super impressed. The coolest thing is the atmosphere and all the exposed brick. I like the idea of the lawn area, but it's always so packed it kills the mood. The draught system they have is terrible! The foam coming out of those taps is atrocious and the bartenders constantly complain about it. When I couldn't get the draught beer I wanted, I got one in a can which was WAY more expensive (Annoying). I probably won't be back because of all the choices I have in Denver. I was really hoping for this place to be my new "spot".

First the "DJ" played the same songs over and over. Second if you go to the bar you don't pay tax on your drinks if you order from the waitress they charge you a tax. Just like every other downtown bar prices are outrageous 4.25 for a Bud Light CAN!!!! I was waiting to be charged for a water.

$2 Coors lights on a roof top patio over lookin downtown with good music playin, can't beat it! Their waitresses are smokin hot too which adds even more to the atmosphere. This place makes me want to move to Denver!

I went here the other night to watch the Broncos game. Figured I'd give it a second shot since I was sick the first time and the food seemed a little bland. Even feeling healthy the food was still bland, and expensive for bar food, but at least the portions were an okay size. The beer was pretty pricy too. The music was really loud before the game started, and the DJ kept interrupting the game to promote an upcoming contest. Bros everywhere, if that's your thing. They seem really uptight about attire (this guy kept getting in trouble for having his hat on backward). I mean, the neighborhood isn't the best, but come on, it's a bar! On the upside, the view is great and my server was really friendly. It was cool that they had face painting during the game. I'm sure the yard games are fun when it's warm out, but it was too cold for that. I'll probably just stick to Sports Column.

The crowd steers towards early to mid twenties. The rooftop bar has a lovely view, there is a turf area on the main floor for activities like beanbag toss and there is plenty of lounge seating. The drinks are fairly cheap, the only thing I didn't love was the service. I've been here a few times and the service has been amiss. I could hear the people checking IDs at the door making fun of patrons, bartenders always for the most part act like they are way too cool to be serving you. Table service is also spotty but the servers try, it's just super busy. I totally get it, it's a happening place to be, but I just wish they'd take some more time and care in ensuring there is a little decorum in hiring their door people. If its a singular event, then it might just be unique to the experience but its pretty consistent... I do wish to love this place, its got great views, cheap drinks and decent food... just wish the door people were more courteous.

Took in the Manning Bowl here and I must say I was most impressed with the building. Tho we didn't make the open air rooftop (rain, rain, go away) we still had a fun time under cover rooting the Broncos. Bottomless mimosas...what a grand idea for brunch. And the size of the mimosas were very generous. My pancake order was delish, however a bit short on serving size. The service was wonderful both inside lower level and at the bar. Noise levels are a bit on the loud side but nothing to be controlled when football fans are around. The crowd was great and despite the warning of people seeing the hoity-toity posh...didn't notice. And they do not turn away the heavily inked bodies....unless its after hours during club time, the bar was very welcoming to all in our party. Cheers!

the other night my buddies and I went to the viewhouse where they told my friend to where is hat straight and to take off his earings. I thought this was stereotyping and not necessary when we are the less threating or don't have any association with any negative groups.

I Have been to Viewhouse about 5 times and I really liked it that is why I wanted to do my birthday there this year. I tried to make a reservation off their website 3 times (which sends them an email without any confirmation to you....so you have no idea if anyone ever got it) but I did not hear back from anyone...so I called the number and left a voice mail...aaand still no response. Looks like they didn't really need my business. Very frustrating!!!!

I came here with a big group of friends on a Saturday night. The line was long but moved pretty quickly. It was crowded mostly upstairs but downstairs we didn't have a problem finding a booth to fit us all. The drinks were really good and strong. I can't speak on prices because my friend bought them for me. The DJ/music was AMAZING to me. Good mix of new and old, great mixing with timing and not too loud. I will def. go again and will try the food

This bar has a really cool concept and has a lot of potential. I have never written a yelp review, but after my experience at the View House, I feel like I need too. After getting no service at a table downstairs, my two friends and I grabbed drinks from the bar and we returned to the table afterwards. A server finally came by and asked if we needed anything, which at the moment we didn't bc we just got drinks from the bar. She then proceeded to snap at my boyfriend and said if we needed any further drinks to order from her and not go to the bar and stormed off. We then proceeded to go upstairs in hopes service would be better, but that was not the case. There were 7 people standing behind the bar and maybe 6 bar guests, and it took over 10 minutes to even get acknowledged, and when we did, more attitude. I have never been to a place where the staff is so rude and un-attentive. I hope this place figures there game plan out, bc it could be a really neat place to hang out.

A friend and I went yesterday afternoon to enjoy the roof deck bar. They had the misters going so it was a nice break from the heat. The staff were half friendly and unfriendly. Most of them seemed annoyed to be there but a few were really nice. I ordered a beer and a water. Both were served in a plastic cup which gave it a house party feel. The music wasn't too loud. The patrons were friendly and seemed to be having a good time. We passed by a fake lawn with yard games and outdoor couches. It looked like a fun place to go with a group. I would give it another try.

I love the openness of the place. The crowd is very similar to what you would find at LoDo's or the Tavern. My vodka lemonade was $4 which wasn't bad. There are a bunch of tvs around with sports on, which I enjoy. I went on a Sat around 9:30 and the line took about 5 min, but it does get longer as it gets later...thankfully the space is huge.

I have been declared disabled by my doctors and suffer from degenerative joint disease and severe degenerative osteoarthritis. Due to this I have to use a cane to walk. On Saturday, September 7th 2013, I was at the View House Eatery. My friend was having a birthday party on the Roof/Patio section of the restaurant. The party began sometime around 5:00 p.m. around 9:00 p.m. I was approached by a member of the security for the restaurant. He came up to me and very seriously asked "Is everything ok over here?" to which I replied "Yes, why?" He looked at me and looked at my cane and then said "I notice you are holding a cane." I told him at that point that I am disabled and require the cane to walk with. After telling him this is said "Ok, well the cane is kind of intimidating." I could not believe that he was actually saying this about my required use of the cane and really did not know how to respond to him at that point. He then told me that after 9:00 there is a strict dress code and that I would have to remove my earrings (I have small gold hoops in each ear) or I would have to leave. At this point I was in shock and disbelief and felt that I was being discriminated against specifically because of my disability and use of a cane and that he was at that point trying to find any reason to force me to leave. I understand that View House has a strict dress code (which seems ridiculous as I have traveled all over the country with earrings for the last 20 years and have never been told I need to take them out regardless of what establishment I went to) requires men to remove their earrings before entering even though I was wearing an expensive Hugo Boss suit coat with a button down collared shirt, dress jeans, and dress shoes. The earrings, however, were not what the security guard approached me for initially so after the fact seemed like an excuse to, again, get me to leave as our party had already been there for 4 hours. I asked another gentleman who was working in the area if I could see a manager to which he replied that he was a manager. I told him of my situation and he just brushed it off and tried to minimize what had just occurred even though I had numerous friends as witnesses who confirmed the events as they took place. I had never been treated like this before and declined his invitation to remain at the restaurant and my friends and I then paid our bills and left. The name of the security guard was Eugene Robbins. He felt he did no wrongdoing and said he was just doing his job. I feel that these actions are a clear violation of people with disabilities rights and that there should be greater awareness, training, and sensitivity towards people such as myself who require aids to accommodate their disabilities. I was not only embarrassed but very angry at their clear lack of concern for someone in my situation. I will obviously not be returning to this establishment. The service was mediocre at best anyway as well as the food. Not somewhere I would ever recommend to anyone.

The Viewhouse is always solid for a night out in Denver. However, if you're lacking one of the cards for local residents, the line can be quite exhausting. If you are a local resident and track down a card, you walk in the front door. The drinks, like at the rest of bars in LoDo, can be a little on the higher side for Denver, but the bar service is quick. The staff is also great at handling large crowds for events. I was there for the Super Bowl and the staff kept everything running smoothly from hours before the game until several hours after.

BEWARE if you have tattoos or piercings you won't be let it. We were celebrating my friends birthday and there was a decent size group of us. They waited in line and my husband who has both piercings and tattoos was told he couldn't get in. No one else in our group has tattoos or piercings showing and my husband does not have tons- just a pierce in each ear and a neck tattoo that you couldn't see very much with his collard shirt. I asked to see manager and the young guy Hussan just said I could talk to him. Long story short he said "a few people had been shot recently down the street and their rules are for everyones safety"- try discrimination! It was all quite shocking.

You know what they need is a jug of sunscreen with a pump handle on the bar that everyone can use for free. We left because we were starting to get sun burned after a couple hours. Great place though!

We went there last Friday... I would give it 5 stars for the view, 5 for the service and 3 for the food. It was so-so. I ordered poutine (some wonderful calorie-filled dish that my Canadian friend recently sold me on when telling me about it) I was totally excited at the thought of gravy, cheese, fries, and whatever other goodness was supposed to be on it. However, my hopes were dashed when the dish that arrived resembled the pot roast dinner I had just cooked at home the night before. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good, what with the mashed potatoes and all. But it was not the fattening delicacy that I had been waiting patiently for on my "cheat day" (I've been eating salads for the last 2 weeks straight. EVERY. DAY.) So, I was a tad disappointed. The server did apologize and said we must have gotten ahold of the wrong menu, and they did say that if we didn't like what they had made us in replacement, then we could get something else. We devoured it, anyway. Mostly because picking something else would have taken just THAT much more time. Friday night in LoDo for people that don't get out often... you just don't have time to burn! That alone was not enough to bump the food quality down to 3 stars.. it was the somewhat weak drinks. They were delicious, but I could not taste a hint of alcohol. If I'm going to pay downtown prices for a fru-fru drink, I want some booze in it, damn it! Perhaps it is a liability to allow you to get too drunk, though because those stairs are a KILLER! (I envisioned my clutsy self falling down them without alcohol on board and wondered how many drunk asses had fallen down them and ended their night in the E.R.) Anyway, all in all, a good time, though. The server, Shay, was attentive and friendly... and I really did love the location, and the atmosphere, though, so 4 stars it is.

I have been to the Viewhouse many times since it opened, and yes, it is a great spot for after work drinks . However, every time I have been there the service has been extremely slow. This is a prime location for Rockies fans before games, but management needs to be prepared for big crowds. Today I went before a game and there was only one server in the entire bar area. We waited 20 minutes before asking the host to send over someone to take our order. The poor host ended up taking our order to help the server out. It then took 30 minutes to get our fries and we never even saw the rest of our food!! After we waited for a total of an hour and a half, we decided to just leave and get food at the game. They need to have enough servers to handle the crowds, and enough staff in the kitchen to keep up with the orders. I understand it gets busy, but that's your business. One good thing: the mac n cheese is good. Oh and most of the waitresses are rude.

Simply AWFUL! We brought a large group here for lunch before the game and regretfully spent our time and money in this joke of an establishment. Our server was slow and far from smart. She attempted to split up the bill for 14 people and in the process double charged several items and simply refused to admit she was wrong and couldn't figure out how to get the bill straightened out for nearly 30 minutes. On top of the service the food was pretty bad. Fries were straight out of a freezer bag with no seasoning, bread on the sandos was dried out and one person in our party got a giant hair in her slider. Gross. Top all of this off with a freaking attendant in the bathroom and you've got a real loser of a joint. Avoid it!

COOL! That's all i could say when we showed up here on a friday night. This place is something like three stories high, with an open aired bar at the very top level that boasts a sick view of the city (and a parking lot). As we walked up the stairs to get to the top level, we kept going and going and I thought it was never going to stop-- and especially with each level being filled with people! This place was bumpinnnnnn and packed with good looking people! I have to say that I was impressed, as I was visiting from Hawaii and there is nothing that is even comparable (unless you count ratchet Dave & Busters). As I am reaching my mid 20's and hate being sloppy in a mini dress, I am pretty much over clubbing--- The View House was just my speed (aka. getting sloppy in jeans and a cute top instead). The crowd seemed to be filled with like minded people. What more could you ask for? View House was a super fun, packed, bar, with good looking people, a make-shift dance floor created by drunken people, an outdoor view, low key and at the same time giving off good energy/vibes. Might I also mention that even though this place was packed, we never waited over 5 minutes to get a drink. Good job bartenders! This bar is also next to a bunch of other bars/eateries so when you get bored you can easily just peace out to another diggs. I definitely had a blast here and if I lived in Colorado, I would probably become a regular.

Great view and close to the ball park. Good atmosphere to hang out. Service was bad as the waitress took only one ordered at a time? Couldn't keep up with my party. The food was sub-par. The steak and eggs was not all that. A buddy ordered his eggs scramble and got over easy. The beef tasted like something ill cook at home. Nothing to special about it (seasoning wise). The buffalo wings were not finger-licking good. The sauce (buffalo hot) smelt good but tasted like sh!t. The beers were over price for a 12oz cup? I don't even think it was a 12oz cup. That's the only size they have? Plus a couple people wanted to ordered the bottomless mojito but because the waitress only took one order at a time and never came back soon enough, they went past 2pm and couldn't get that special.

This was my first time and definitely not my last time here. The atmosphere was a nice mixed crowd 21-40ish. We sat on the rooftop patio which was very nice. At our request, the staff did not hesitate to roll down the shade closest to us due to the wind. The bottomless mimosas for $14.95 were worth the price. The balance between the champagne and the OJ was perfect. The chili dogs were unconventional with a combination of chili beans, black beans, and pickled onions. I'm very skeptical about eating chicken in many restaurants, but this place gets an A+ with it's choice to serve chicken from Redbird Farms, a local producer. The mini chicken tacos (3) were just enough to squash my hunger (ask for a side of salsa) if you like a little heat. I felt they could have been a little more generous with the guacamole and pico de gallo. They serve buffalo chicken wings, but at my daughter's request they made them bbq style for her. She orders wings at every restaurant and said they way were good but the sauce was a little tart. Our server started out slow, as I had to wait 10 minutes before I could order my second mimosa, but after that she sped up the service. My only gripe was that the wings came out five minutes before the rest of our order. Apparently, they have fun day Sunday, with a DJ, volleyball and other outdoor games for the 21 and over crowd. It's located one block from Coors field so I would probably avoid on Rockies game days.

The Viewhouse is an awesome building with good food, but take it from me people the customer service there is so bad, it's almost laughable. Unlike Lodos or Downtown Tavern, staff has this attitude that you're lucky to be there and lucky if they wait on you, not the other way around. I'm huge on service when it comes to restaurants, hotels and places of this nature and the Viewhouse has unprofessional, young, arrogant kids working for them, including management. Our dining experience while there was decent, (they do have delicious hot dogs and margaritas) but service was extremely mediocre and in addition to that I had an issue I called about after dining there, (I left there an extremely important folder full of signatures... obviously something the average decent human being with half a brain would not just throw in the trash) and not one, not two, but three different managers took my name/number and failed to even return my call, then the hostess had the nerve to bitch at me for calling during dinner hours when I had tried TWICE on TWO different days to resolve this issue at 11 am. Unfortunately for them, the general public will begin to catch on to this extremely deterring characteristic of the Viewhouse and they will instead choose the just as good if not better surrounding restaurants with rooftop patios. This is a huge disappointment for me, especially since I go to school in Lodo and wanted to have my graduation party here. What a waste of space!

Came here for St. Patrick's Day and was very pleasantly surprised! This place is a HUGE space with a great patio for summer days before Rockies games! They have tons of great beers on tap, plus a solid bar menu, and I thought their food menu was great too. Definitely on-par with the other places in the ballpark area, though I actually felt like the food here was better than the Tavern or Lodos. We had good service, especially given how crazy and packed it was, too. Happy to have a new place to hit up before games for sure! My only complaint was the massive bathroom line-- sometimes it just sucks to be a girl I suppose!

Tried to go on Easter Sunday around dinner time for a drink. Sat up at the top rooftop and waited probably 15 min for a waitress to even approach us. She was busy flirting with a table full of guys. Ordered a simple blue moon and never saw the beers. We waited another 20 min before we said screw it and left. Tried to go again around noon last Sunday to give it one more try. This time sitting downstairs on the outside patio. Waited another stupid 20 min and never saw a waitress. No water no beer no food no nothing. Absolutely a joke for service for it being a new place. Left and went to Lodo and was seated and served in 15 min. Never coming back to this place again. WHAT A JOKE

I guess if you build a really amazing venue, you don't have to make any effort to provide customer service. View House really is a beautiful spot. The design of the space is really impressive. However, I encountered the rudest hostess ever when we visited the View House the first time. We were really excited to try the new spot. When we walked into the venue - were the only ones at the hostess station. The hostess looked at us and then went back to watching the game. It wasn't even an exciting game and it wasn't that busy. The tables/stools were all filled, but beyond that - not too busy. A few minutes later when she FINALLY decided she was going to acknowledge us and we asked how long the wait was, she looked down at her list - with no names on it! - and said "I have NO IDEA" and rolled he eyes as if I was totally crazy to ask the question. She was clearly annoyed that we were there. It was comical. I was seriously looking for cameras thinking maybe it was a joke. It got more ridiculous from there... until we were seated an hour later. [The wait wasn't the problem - it was the seriously unpleasant hostess at the front door and her misunderstanding of the definition of "hostess".] Surprisingly, our waitress was over the top fantastic and the food was great. Still, we won't be back.
