Sometimes I forget to put the cover on my TPS reports before they go out, and then I know I need to take a sanity break at Chotchkie's... or at the very least visit the company cafeteria. Three Sisters reminds me of that company cafeteria, where downtown workerbees queue up alongside a soup & sandwich counter for a quick in & out lunch break. No... not that kind of in & out. The soups are hearty & nourishing enough. The sandwiches are very much standard fare, there's nothing imaginative or creative going on here. I enjoyed my cookie. The service is pleasant and friendly enough, but because of the line against the counter I cannot shake the feeling I'm dealing with the cafeteria lunch lady here. A perfectly A-OK place to visit for anyone except more discriminating Yelpers who persevere in finding unique destinations beyond the pale of mediocrity. Highly recommended if you enjoy standing in lines however.

I was a little skeptical of another boring sandwich shop in the area but I actually enjoyed this place. It has a small business feel to it and they make your sandwich fresh and to order. You can tell they use high quality food in the sandwich because it tasted fresh and very sophisticated. The food was done very quick and service was exceptional. Will def be back!

I actually planned to go to Beaucoup Burrito (related restaurant) but it is now closed so I tried Three Sisters. I loved it. The menu is pretty basic. They offer your basic sandwiches, wraps and salads. Where they differ is in the bread. The sandwiches come on little mini-loaves. And, despite how the look on paper, the sandwiches are anything but boring. Mine was actually really tasty (turkey & provolone on wheat). What surprised me the most and will get me back in the door are the soups. They offer eight different soups each day. They all looked and smelled delicious. I tried the Spanish Vegetable and it was everything I wanted from an exotic vegetarian soup. Very good. I can't wait to try the Gazpacho, Corn Chowder, and Pork Green Chile. When it turns cold (which I hear it does in Denver) I will be a regular (if not Duke) of Three Sisters. The soups are that good and enticing. Just the tip - they have delicious looking cookies and huge brownies that look amazing.

My fiancé took me here because she had been here a few times before and wanted to share her find. She did an awesome job in taking me to an EXCELLENT café. I am not a huge sandwich and soup person but I was that day. I had ordered the Club and the chili bean soup. The bread on the sandwich was absolutely warm, soft and just sooooo good!!!! The chili was a bit spicy but I shouldn't have expected it not to be I guess. I would definitely try this café out if in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Great soups, try the pork green chile soup. Really good panini's and staff is fun. Nothing says summer like hot soup. Only downside is get there before 12:00pm. Thye usually get a crowd.

A great place for a weekday lunch. I've been a few times and definitely think this is the place to go for soup. The other things are done fairly well (salads and sandwiches), but the soup is really their specialty. It changes up frequently and all I've tried are truly delicious. Today I went and got the Tuscan bean and sausage soup and it was wonderful! I was having a hard time deciding, but not to worry- you can taste them first! The icing on the cake- I got a medium soup, my total was UNDER $5, and I left full and satisfied. Yay!

Not even close to your ordinary sandwich place.. it's so, so good. First and most importantly, 8 fresh soups a day. And believe me, they TASTE fresh! My absolute favorite is the Sweet Potato Corn Chowder... if you find a favorite, you can stalk to "Soup Hotline" every morning to see if it's available that day. Soup comes with a small loaf of bread that is also obviously fresh. The line can get a little crazy during the week and especially if it's a cold day, but so worth it.

Fall and Winter is coming in case you didn't know! (I'm faked out too with this Denver weather) This place is perfect for the upcoming colder months. Very basic selection of sandwiches to choose from, some salads and some panini's but with me first visit I am gonna come out and say you don't come for any of that. YOU COME FOR THE SOUP! They must have a good 7-10 soups everyday and from what I understand they change everyday. I thought the Southwest Chicken Tortilla Soup sounded great and my friend go the Tomato Parmesan. YUMM-O! We both got the Soup and Sandwich combo. Sandwiches are nothing to write home about. The soups are gourmet! If you know anything about soup you know that it's hard to make a great soup without it becoming real salty, Three Sisters knows how. Both soups were amazing, not salty, tons of depth of flavor, you could see the chunks of meat and vegetables. Tons of choices! Fret not, the line isn't as long as it seems, they know how to move a line. I anticipate many more visits to Three Sisters.

Awesome soups! Friendly staff. This is definitely a popular lunch place, it is packed daily from about 11:30 to 1:00. But it is worth waiting for the soup- it's the best I've found in Denver.

Best veggie wrap in town! Can't beat the gazpacho too. Try any soup before you commit. Fast and friendly service. This place is a Denver gem!

I think this is one of the best quick lunch places within a half-mile radius. I work nearby, and going here for their cowboy chili means it's fall. The line is always long between 12 and 1pm in the cooler months, but it moves fast, and it's worth it. Sandwiches and salads are good too. It's just fresher and the soups are all made from scratch, which explains why people who work downtown gravitate to this place in the fall/winter like tweens to a Beiber show.

Since the other reviews said the sandwiches were nothing special, I opted for the soup, bread and side salad combo. I am happy with my choice. Since the soup got such rave reviews, I ordered a large. Coconut Chicken Curry. So good! Spicy too. Definitely hit the spot. I had 2 side salad choices, and I was happy that the guy packed the to-go container full. (Because seriously, lettuce costs nothing!) With tax it was $8 and some change. A bit high for what it really is... but I work downtown and it is average to pay $7-12 for a lunch sandwich in the area. I'll come again. I want to try all the soups! Heck, I could just go on a soup diet with this place around the corner!

Got Soup? Three Sisters does! Upon deciding where to go to lunch last week with Colleen C and Abby S, it just made sense to go to "Three Sisters." We are three friends / three colleagues, three girls, and we all felt like sandwiches, soups, and/or salads. This place worked out perfectly. They had about eight soups to choose from, and I went with a white bean that was the perfect accompaniment to my Greek salad. The service wasn't the friendliest, but with it being a cafeteria like model, it was fine... We were in and out quickly and got what we came for - a moderately priced healthy lunch. I wouldn't necessarily rush back, but I do recommend Three Sisters Cafe if you're in the area and looking for a quick lunch; especially if you're thinking about soup!

Very good soup, and many selections to choose from. The helping of bread that costs less than a dollar is very generous, making a large bowl of soup quite filling and very reasonably priced at about $6.15 after taxes. I had the turkey chili, and my brother than the tomato soup. Both were great, but the chili was better in my opinion. The one thing I did not like was that after swiping my card it suggested I tip $1, $2, or $3. For a bowl of soup that costs $6 from a counter! I don't think so.

The soup options are phenomenal! Today I tried the BBQ Chicken Panini with avocado and spinach and it blew my mind! I was planning on saving half for later--but I had to eat the whole thing! Great food!

Standard soup, salad & sandwich lunch place for the downtown highrise workerbee crowd. Ingredients are fresh, robust menu selections, assembly line style. I was disappointed at the chicken salad though, as it contained unexpected, diced cucmber mixed in. I absolutely despise cucs. If you're going off-roading on a staple like that, I think you need to warn your customers b/c it was too late by the time I took and bite and proceeded to gag.

I met a friend for a lunch meeting at Three Sisters earlier this week. I was looking for a lower cost but cute place in Denver and found it with the help of the Yelpers! The only mistake I made was thinking it would be a good biz lunch choice. The salads and soups and sandwiches were delish and I wanted to sit and eat all day long. In fact, my friend made a comment that I don't usually eat that slow but it was really flavorful and delish and I wanted to savor every bite. It is a cafeteria style place where you order and pay then sit down. Here's a helpful hit, look on the glass that is at... well it was about eye level for me so that means like chest level for everyone else. They have all the daily stuff written on there. There are two selected salads each day that you can do halfsies with (aka: half soup/half salad or half sandwich/half salad). That was kinda a bummer and a bit nonsensical since they have all the rest of the salads right there. Anyway, I enjoyed my soup and salad and the bread on the side was DELISH! Like a little loaf of my own. Made me feel special. I definitely recommend for take out or a weekend lunch... just don't expect to get much more than eating done! Oh, point of reference, it is housed in the same building as the Magnolia Ballroom (adjacent from the Mag Hotel). It's just the other side of the building. (The men's bathroom is through a vault... pretty cool.) Parking is pretty wretched during the day but there is a garage right next door. Expect $6 to $8 for lunch and they do take CC's.

Try the South Western Chicken Panini, it beyond amazing. Every soup I have tried here is so good, The Thai Curry is my #1. They always have coupons for Soup, Bread and a Cookie for $5.00. The staff is super friendly, and the location is right across from my building so that helps. Most people on here are dead on about the times, If you go any time at Noon, expect to wait. 11:30 is a good time, in and out in like 5 minutes and after 1:30 is slows down a lot. But by that time they will be out of most of their soups.

Went there for lunch today. Wanted a lil something yummy to warm us up. I had the black bean and chorizo soup and the chicken sandwich. I would agree w other reviewer, the sandwich was nothing to write home about but the soup was very tasty and just what I needed. My friend had the chicken tortilla soup and it was also very yummy. The line was long but staff was friendly and fast. If you want soup this is a great place to go! I would maybe suggest they do a soup flight, you get to taste 2 different soups. :)

As I sat in my cube, the aroma of Taco Bell whafted over the divider from my manager's desk. Much to my chagrin he hadn't made a run for the border, but was actually feasting upon tortilla soup from Three Sisters... Obviously I followed suit and took a trip down the street myself. They have your standard lunch selection, but the real emphasis is in fact on the soup. If you're a soup-eater then this place will be worth a few visits due to the wide selection. As I learned however (and this is the minus one star)...if the person in front of you is taking a while to order salad for her entire office, don't think you can skip her to go directly to the soup sector - they will sternly tell you to get back in your place. Like an exclusive club, they apparently like to have a line.

This lunchtime spot offers several soups and the usual smattering of not-too-adventurous wraps and sandwiches. I made my third (and perhaps final) trip there today, and have concluded that the food routinely tastes like bland food service, prepackaged and generic. Today I had a turkey and avocado panini and a cup of sweet potato corn chowder. The 3 slices of turkey on my sandwich were of the perfectly-circular luncheon loaf variety, and tasted cheap and institutional; the avocado was not fresh, but rather some sort of greenish spread. The bread was the only thing that seemed not purchased from Sam's Club but it, too, was bland and forgettable. The soup sounded promising, but tasted canned with a few too-generous handfuls of dried thyme perhaps thrown in to spice it up. Grand total for this meal: $10. All in all, Three Sisters is popular among some who swear by their soups, so perhaps I've just been very unlucky every time I've been, but I doubt I'll go back.

It was a cold day again today, and I had another hankering for soup and sandwich, so I decided to give Three Sisters another go. Again, I went right after the lunch rush, and although I don't think a salad bomb had gone off, the space just seemed a little messy. Bad timing on my part? Not sure, but the other thing I get when I come in here is a sense that the entire crew doesn't like me. Like, scowls from the person taking my order and glares from the person making my sandwich. Their savior was the person that took my money. He smiled, thanked me, and actually made me feel good about giving them my business. All in all, I was a little more impressed by the organized chaos going on behind the counter this go 'round. Then there was the food. I had the cowboy chili this time. Yeah, it ain't soup, but it's still a warm, liquid-based meal, so it counts. The chili was pretty darn good. One caveat...and I say this about the soup too...for some reason I keep expecting thickness from their soups, but I am not getting it. The cowboy chili, while tasty and chock full of chunks of tomatoes and meat, just seemed runny to me. Throw a can of refried beans into that chili and thicken it up a little! I also had the tuna sandwich. While not as good as the chicken salad, it sated my need for tuna and then some. Three Sisters, I like you, I really do. I'll keep coming back for soup and sandwich on cold days. But for now, we need to just see each other occasionally. There are way too many other places that WOW me every time I go there to be tied down with you.

While in town on business, I went for lunch. At the recommendation of Yelpers, I tried the Spicy Chicken wrap and the Rosemary Potato soup. The wrap was fine -- good, but nothing special (tasted like something I would make at home) -- but the Rosemary Potato soup was delicious. The other soups also looked great, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Not a bad lunchtime stop, and there is outdoor seating (and free WiFi).

So I made the mistake of not checking my last review here before ordering here. Had I known I ordered the Spicy Chicken Wrap last time I would have got something else. Anywho, the wrap was only so-so this time around but what was really good was the Tuscan soup (I might be slightly off on the name). It had some spices that I don't believe I've tasted before but it was a very good thing. :-) Basically a bean soup but a very tasty one at that. I think I might just want to come here for soups from now on though. I think the sandwiches/wraps here have only been so-so for the most part.

I'm not the biggest fan of soup (keep that in mind if you love it), so I had never eaten here before. I usually see lines out to the sidewalk (especially in this Fall weather), so I gave it a try. I had the butternut squash soup, which I found a tad sweet and spiced like pumpkin pie. The little loaf of bread was very soft and tasty, though. When you think Three sisters you might picture three women working in here, but I was (pleasantly) surprised to find an unlikely quartet of tattooed bike punks ladling up the soup.

I absolutely love Three Sisters! The prices are great, and that's what really keep me coming back. I'm not a huge eater, so a large cup of soup and some bread is the perfect size lunch for me, and it's only $5.94! I haven't been able to find anywhere else that fills me up for so cheap! The soups are phenominal; I haven't had one I didn't enjoy. The sandwiches are pretty standard, but I like standard, so it keeps me happy. Overall, I will keep coming back here!

Hands down my favorite "find" on a recent trip to Denver. If I lived or worked nearby, I would quickly become a regular. I had Chicken Tortilla soup, a safe choice, but honestly one of my favorites. It was hearty, full of flavor, and just what I was looking for.

So close, yet so far from my office. I really try hard to not get into my car during the day and do my best to walk to lunch. Three Sisters is the exception. Even though parking is a bit tough, I never hesitate to jump into the car for a hot cup of soup and a great little loaf of bread. I love that they always have several soup options every day, everything from good ole chicken noodle to sweet potato corn chowder. I have eaten there on several occasions and have yet to have the same type of soup twice. Great place to go and grab an great lunch for well under $10. Until the weather warms up, I will continue to drive there unless I can learn to run very fast.

Soup so good you want to slap your mother? Maybe so! I like to get the Soup & Sandwich combo for lunch and boy do I feel full when I leave. They only have one veggie sandwich but it's a solid, good sandwich. Where they really excel: The soups! Oh the soups!! So there are 8 or 10 soups and each is very different then the other typically. So, sometimes I can't decide which I would like more... ask for a test taste. They have soups behind the counter for that reason. My last trip in I couldn't decide between the cheddar potato and the sweet potato with corn... I'll say to a certain extent tasting only made it harder because they were both delicious but it did make me decide which would go better with my sandwich and mood.

Great for lunch if you work downtown. I had the soup and sandwich combo and it filled me up. The sandwich is fresh and I think they 8 homemade soup selections, all of which sounded delicious but I could only pick one. I had the lentil soup and a turkey sandwich and I was very happy with my choices. I'll be going back for more.

First timer here with the help of Yelp. I had the soup, salad and side of bread. Tomato Parmesan, Marinated Veggie Salad and my own little wheat loaf (too big for one person.) The line didn't last too long but when we sat down, I felt like I was in a rush and ate extremely too fast! The soup was sooo hot and creamy. This meal to go would have stayed warm for at least an hour. It's definitely a 45 minute or less lunch place, lots of tables that are close together and good prices. Impressed - I'll go back but I will take the light rail next time as parking stinks downtown and the rail drops off right at 18th and Stout.

Colds and flus must be going around and stopping by the Three Sisters was suggested for a bowl of chicken gnocchi soup. I went there at 3pm before they were starting to close up (they close at 330p) The place looks like a typical sandwich / soup cafe. It seemed clean. The soup hotline struck my curiosity- Soupline: (303) 313-2171 Spicy Corn Chowder, Southwest Chicken Tortilla, Garden Vegetable, etc... They have 8 soups that they change up daily. I also eyeballed the panini's and sandwiches on the menu and will probably be back to try these other lunch delights.

Great soup, but you can't eat just soup, so pair it up with a 1/2 sandwich. -1 star for boring bread; toast the sandwiches or use better rolls.

The best soup in Denver. This is a cute little joint downtown that you have to check out for lunch. Their soups are creative and warm you up from the inside out on a chilly day. They have paninis, wraps, salads, and sandwiches- all which are great to decent depending on what you order. The raspberry walnut salad is tasty. I'm seriously addicted to the Caprese Panini, I think the girls that work there know me by order. Because their soups change daily, you can call their soup hotline: (303) 313-2171. You can count on them having the chicken tortilla soup- which is always a dependable meal. Check this place out- there's far too few of these little joints around downtown Denver!

On 10/19/12 I had lunch here. I ordered the half sandwich with soup. Both were fresh and delicious. Get there early, because a long line forms! I wholeheartedly recommend them.

I am battling a cold and it was snowing when I left for work this morning, so I have been jonesing for a warm cup of soup all day! Thanks, Yelpers, for pointing me toward Three Sisters Cafe. Although I agree with some of the comments about the place being a little messy and the people behind the counter being okay (they didn't wow me...), the food was good and satisfied my need for some comfort food. I had the chicken dumpling soup and just finished off my whole wheat loaf. I ordered the medium - being a little nervous that a small wouldn't be big enough for a meal - but honestly I could have stuck with the small and been just fine. My friend had chicken tortilla and enjoyed it as well. Our total bill (two medium soups with bread) was only $11. Can't beat that for a soup lunch. I saw two people I know while in Three Sisters and the line behind me was really long - so I think this place is here to stay. Enjoy!

I went here for the first time right before I lost my connection to the world (internet). I have since been back twice. I try something different every time and am pleasantly surprised every time. Maybe because I expect it to be overly priced crap and its a good amount of food for the price. When it was like 40 degrees a week and a half ago, this was the perfect place to grab lunch. I've had the No Fad Thai Wrap - Amazing. I've had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo (good, but not a lot of chicken or sausage). Also tried the Caprese Panini. Solid. Good ingredients. Piss poor job of toasting the Panini. I don't know if they need lessons or it was because it was busy, but it was an enjoyable sandwich with the glimmer of possibility. Also had the Italian Something and Something soup, which I should remember the name of, because it ri-goddamn-diculously good.

They have really good soups here. They are also very close to the office, so I make regular visits. Staff is friendly and they have a frequent visitor card. They have a hotline set up where you can find out the kind of soups being served that day. I would have rated them higher except that a couple of times, I have called the recorded line and arrived only to find they were out of the soup I wanted.

Soup is amazing and salads are delish too. Fresh ingredients and doesn't leave you wanting to take a 2pm snooze under your desk. I would have given them 5 stars if they bussed the tables a little more frequently.

I love soup. Loooooovvvvvveeee soup. So for any other Denverites who are equally inclined towards savory liquid goodness, you will know that Denver is sorely lacking in good soup restaurant options. Not only are there very few soup restaurants, but restaurants that offer soup usually half-heartedly add a soup option to appease people like me, and the outcome is usually poor. So when I read that Three Sisters Cafe on 17th and Stout was a soup restaurant I thought to my self: "Hazzah! Soup!" This restaurant features 8 soups that change daily (with the exception of the Chicken Tortilla soup). The restaurant is open until 3:30 and also features salads, wraps and paninis. However the first hurdle is getting there. Why do I do this to myself. With baby in tote, Kelley and I drove down to 17th and Stout. And while we all know that Denver is REPLETE with parking spaces, today must have been an exception (I hope you're sensing the sarcasm, cause I'm layin' it on PRETTY thick). It took five circles and a stolen parking spot to finally find some metered parking a few blocks away. Fine. At least the meters take credit cards now. Finally. It's 2:00 and there is no line, in fact we are the only ones in the restaurant which has ample seating. I went with the panini option with an added on medium soup for $2.50. They allow you to sample the soups and sample we did. The turkey chili (which is what Kelley went with) was quite good, a hearty and healthy option. We also tried the Tuscan Bean (WAAAYYY too much salt), the Chicken Tortilla (pretty tasty with a bit of a kick!) and the butternut squash. I went with the butternut squash. At first taste it was pretty good, but after a few bites I grew tired of the cinnamon and chicken stock base. It was just a little too strong. The panini was equally disappointing. I had the turkey, avocado and provolone panini. The bread was forgettable and the avocado was pasty and tasteless--smacked off an "out of the bag" deal. With my drink, panini and soup it was $11. Not too shabby for lunch (if you can avoid parking in a garage--which I would suggest would definitely be a deal breaker). But all in all I was non-plused about this place. If I was really jonesin' for some soup I would go back. But only for soup, and I would probably run in to get it while Taylor circled the block. A disappointing lunch all-in-all. Can no one quench my need for fine soup in this city?! I am too spoiled by the "Soup Kitchen" and "Big City Soup" in Salt Lake I suppose. But this is a niche that Denver definitely needs to fill.

One of the best (if not the best) places for lunch in the area. Everything on the menu is delicious. I haven't had any of their soups yet, but that's supposedly what they are known for, so I assume they are great. The wraps, paninis and salads are fresh and great. Hours are very specific, so make sure you are in their narrow window.

  • Jeff Y.

Good selection of soups and sandwiches for a reasonable price. 1/2 sandwich and small bowl of soup for $7 and unless you're starving, it's enough for lunch. Good bread (I had the special, Bavarian wheat) and quality, fresh toppings. A big plus was the bowl of saltines on every table, which to me is a good sign that they mean business with their soup. It gets packed with the office lunch crowd, so expect a line.

A half sandwich and soup is the most common lunch to find downtown, or anywhere else for that matter. But it's usually so mediocre. That's much less the case at Three Sisters. They don't do anything wild and crazy with their food. But somehow it's a notch above what a lot of places are serving. Go here for a good sandwich and a large selection of top notch soups.

I live not even a block away from this cafe and I have to pass it every day when I go to work. When I went in it was about 30 min till they closed (which is at 3 pm) and I wanted a sandwich. They lady making it seemed so mad that I was there. She was very rude and was banging and throwing things around like I was a huge inconvenience to her for eating there. I work in the restaurant business and understand that it sucks when someone comes in right before close. But it was a half an hour away from closing. If they don't want business 30 min prior to closing then that's when they should close. I still walk past it every day and I have never been back and that was over a year ago.

I usually spend my time downtown visiting various pubs so today when I was there for some training, I needed to find somewhere to eat. I had heard about 3 Sisters somewhere so thought I'd give it a shot. I was impressed with the menu - lots of items but not overwhelming. Choose from a warm panini, sandwich, wrap or a salad. Or combine any of these with some soup. I had a ham, swiss and pesto panini. It was delicious! The cheese was melted all the way and just a little crispy around the edges of the bread. I wasn't sure how big the panini would be so I bought some chips too - didn't need them! Next time I'm downtown I'll probably eat here again and try one of the 8 varieties of soup they offer. Side note - I got there about 11:50am and moved quickly through the line but soon after I was devouring my lunch the line was out the door (but moving at a good pace) - so get there a little early if you don't like to wait - as with anywhere downtown I think!

I was craving some warm, delicious soup on a snowy, windy day. Went here to check it out. Was disappointed by the unfriendly help behind the counter, the very small portion of salad in the soup & salad combo, and the wasteful use of styrofoam for both soup & salad for in-house eating. It was pricy for the amount of food I was given. The sandwich my husband had looked much better than my small portion of romaine lettuce in my styrofoam cup. I will not support businesses who choose not to be environmentally conscious in today's world. It ruined what may have been a better lunch.

I have been wanting to grab lunch at Three Sisters for a while...finally decided to give it a try today... Not impressed with my sandwich. I ordered a BBQ Chicken Panini. The cheddar cheese wasn't melted, there's not enough BBQ sauce (so, it seems a bit dry). It seems like there is something missing in this sandwich. Maybe I just went on a bad day. I wish that I would have ordered the soup because their soup looks to be the best bet.

Where the f@# are the sisters?! Wherever they are, they need to come back. I love Three Sisters because their soups are consistantly amazing and there are always many to choose from, they have huge fresh salads and really great homemade bread, and nothing's overpriced. That being said, I went in today and the ENTIRE staff consisted of the rudest bunch of people you'll ever meet. My friend asked what bread they'd recommend with her sandwich and the guy literally rolled his eyes at her and told her "whatever one you want". At the register, the guy asked what size soup and we said "whichever size comes with the soup and sandwich combo" and he clearly wasn't too bright. He looked confused and then finally said "look, there isn't a SIZE that comes with lady, can you just pick a size?" It was absolutely appalling service. Too bad, cause my coconut chicken curry soup was out of this world good. I won't be back for ahwile because of the terribly rude and unprofessional staff.

Went here for lunch and this place is great! The soups change daily I believe and they are very delicious. They have so many sandwich options as well! I had a soup/salad combo and was very satisfied. A great non-chain option downtown. Watch out at lunchtime though, everyone in the nearby area clearly knows about this great little place, so come early, or come with extra time!

I work down the block, so frequent this place quite a bit. They have a great selection of soups and I think they are tasty. They always a couple of vegetarian soups to choose from too. The breadsticks are yummy. I've never had their sandwiches or salads. Only complaint--I've never seen any of the "sisters" smile. They are less than friendly.

I love soup so I was really excited to find out about Three Sisters. I'm always very picky about soup, especially after I started making complicated soups on my own at home, so I was also a little worried that it wouldn't live up to my high expectations. I had no need to be worried. I had Spicy Corn Chowder and my friend had Cheesy Potato. We both enjoyed our soups, and I was really impressed with mine. I had a hard time deciding between the corn chowder and southwest chicken tortilla... I make a Potato and Corn Chowder of my own and I hate ordering things at restaurants that I can make myself. But when I got to the part of the line with soups, I changed my mind because the chowder looked oh so good. I'm glad I switched because I was really impressed!!! My Spicy Chicken Wrap was also delicious and it had plenty of good quality chicken in it... none of those chicken "mystery" pieces or anything like that. I didn't have any bread, so I can't comment on that although my friend did like hers. I guess the only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because the tomatoes on my sandwich were a little under-ripe and there was no lemon wedges at the drink station, which I have become very accustomed too at similar lunch places downtown. This is something that can easily improve. I will definitely go back again and again.

Although it isn't Mizuppa (although it apparently used to be several years ago), Three Sisters hits it out of the park on more than one occasion with their excellent homemade soup collection. That's right, homemade. As sad as it is that Denver seems to have forgotten the concept of affordable restaurants that specialize in soup (which is annoying year-round, but especially on a snowy day), at least Three Sisters understands what I need! The only complaints I have it that their basic salads are nothing spectacular, their bread with the soup is good, but not awesome, and on a busy day it can take quite a while in line and may be hard to find a table open. Wish they didn't have to raise their prices occasionally, but what can you do. Craving soup in Denver? Three Sisters has you covered.

After three trips to Three Sisters, it's time to opinionize. If you're in the mood for a bowl of yummy soup, this is the spot. The list of 8 choices morph daily. Today's selection, chicken minestrone, was especially delicious. The sandwiches are generous on the inside, fresh on the outside. But the best of this place are the people "making the magic". Even during the lunch crunch (the place is hummin' during the noon hour) the staff always provides service with a smile and a friendly attitude - nice!

Woe is me, I work downtown as well and have been going here for quite a while and used to love the place, the soups and sandwiches are good but things have changed dramatically over the past few months. When I used to get a chicken or beef soup the ladle person always used to ensure you had a good amount of what the soup was named for (ie chicken or beef). For the last several times I have noticed this is no longer happening and the amount of actual protein in the soup is more akin to Campbells. This is bad enough, but yesterday I got the chicken noodle and walked to the office to eat it, opened it up and I had broth :0( no chicken whatsoever. I guess I'll stick to the sandwiches.

Good (but somewhat average) sandwiches and good (and sometimes great) soups. I like the chicken salad sandwich with a cup of the tomato soup. Great place to come for lunch if you want something quick and easy with a little room to read a book. It does get busy at noon, so better to come early or late.

If you were lucky enough to be fed by 3 sisters they would serve you a bow of warm soup and bread sticks. But if you were ucky enough to be fed by my sisters and I then you would get much more than a bowl of creamy mushroom or beer & cheddar. Booze you will get but it will be accompanied by a 3 or 5 course meal and a massage.

I ate here with a group of four and highly enjoyed the entire experience. Food was tasty, staff friendly (for quick service). You can't go wrong with the soups either. If anyone from 3 sisters reads this... I appreciate coke product bottles but could you put them on tap? Thx.

Ah yes, my weekly (or more) visit to Three Sisters is never a disappointment. Morgan always remembers my order - it never changes - and you are always greeted with a smile by all who work behind the counter. The selection of soups is ridiculous and changes every day. The Tomato Parmesan is my favorite go-to and I can no longer have tomato soup of any kind from anywhere else because it will just never be as good as Three Sisters. They have spoiled me and I'm okay with that. Seems like a really fun and rewarding place to work as well and always has a really positive vibe going on. All the love to this place!

Awesome soup, super friendly staff, line does move quick! I've tried dozens of their soups and loved them all except the chicken tortilla soup, that was just mediocre. They're very creative with ingredients and always have an awesome selection. Well if it's cold, you better get there early as they'll run out of soups. It's VERY popular for a reason!

Reasonable prices for a downtown lunch. The line moves fast, the staff is friendly and the soups are always tasty. There is not much meat in the soups, but I never leave feeling hungry either. Sandwiches and salads are ok, but the soups are the real attraction.

Stopped in for lunch based on the Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. Cauliflower soup with spice curry is a tasty, kicking soup - not too hot to make you sweat, however. Just loved it. Paired it with the Caprese Panini, which had a great pesto sauce on it. Delicious. Husband had the Spice Chicken Wrap, and enjoyed the fresh ingredients. Friendly folks. Stop by if you're from out of town.

Really busy, but incredibly fast! I tried the Spicy Chicken wrap, and it was fantastic! Look forward to going back to try more things from their huge menu!

The sisters club sandwich on a small Bavarian loaf is amazing!! The soups are homemade with out additives and warm the soul. The staff is always smiling and ready to move customers through the line. The food is so delicious as well as well priced that getting an extra soup and sandwich for the next day is fantastic!

Great sandwiches cafe, crowded during lunch time since they close around 3. I had the chicken panini, my friend she had a sandwiches soup combo. Both were very good. One of the better sub/sandwiches near 16th st.

Have never had a bad meal in this place. Typically I get the half and half... as for the soup, which is why one would stand in the long line for. I would go early and get the Coconut Chicken Curry... even if you don't each chicken, this might be the time you make an exception. If they run out, which they do.... just ask the staff for a suggestion and they are always happy to help....but remember just keep on moving as some of us are still waiting in line.

I am not including a photo because everything was so delicious that it didn't last very long! The carrot ginger soup was so fresh and fragrant, and the Bavarian bread is totally worth waiting in line for. Highly recommend.

This is my absolute favorite place for soup in Denver! The Coconut Chicken Curry is amazing and the Bavarian Bread is delicious! Even when the line is long, it moves quickly and is always worth the wait.

I got the spicy chicken wrap and a cup of the tortilla soup. Both were great. Very fresh ingredients in the wrap, a good sauce, and a great taste. The soup was obviously hand made and also had a great taste! Would definitely recommend Three Sisters for a quick sandwhich for lunch.

I generally like their soups but my body always feels weird after eating it (any flavor). I get very drousy, tired and my heart beats fast.

This place is great....The soups are amazing and you can tell they are made with love. The sandwiches are just as good, the bread is nice and soft with fresh ingredients...Also I dig that you can pick a larger size of soup with the soup/sandwich combo what a great idea...

My absolute favorite lunch spot. I work downtown and discovered this place when a co-worker mentioned their delicious soups! 6 made form scratch soups -Different everyday and great sandwiches, wraps, salads etc. The half a sandwich and soup is the perfect amount of food. Even when its busy the line goes fast, and the employees are lovely. Tip: they even have a soup hotline to call if you want to know what they have for the day. 303-313-2171 enjoy!

Always busy (because it is so good) so plan for that for weekday lunches. They process the line fast, but they always keep smiles and courteous attitudes- what a great and welcomed difference from most places downtown for the lunch rush hour. The southwestern chicken panini is delicious! Panini bread is well seasoned, serving size is reasonable, and the cookies are awesome.

Tried it for the first time today and was very impressed. The chicken tortilla soup with a chicken & avocado panini was fantastic! I'll have to keep going back to try the different soups and sandwiches.

Very close to work for a quick lunch. Tasty soups and the sandwiches are always good! For downtown the price isn't bad either. I wish they were open Saturday! My favorite is chicken tortilla, but you can sample the soups which is awesome so you know you'll like what you chose!

This is one of my favorite places to go get lunch. Our entire company loves to go in waves. They have great soups/sandwiches, price, and service. I enjoy going to this shop and will continue to support.

While I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Three Sisters it is a reliable place for scratch made soup and sandwiches on the east-ish side of LoDo, especially on a cold winter day. The soups are the better of the two IMHO. But it also just feels good to support a local independent business that clearly takes pride in their product.
