I don't know if this was place was short on staff the night we came or they usually have the bartenders work as servers, but service was a bit slow/inattentive. However, our bartender/server was nice enough when he actually came around. The prices aren't bad and the hummus was pretty good. The decor is pretty cool and relaxing. I really enjoyed the band they had playing (11/29). They covered a wide range of musical genres, from The Cure to Sade. The only downside I experienced was getting mad dog looks from some chubby lady that worked the front area. I'd call her a hostess, but since this is a place where you seat yourself, she wasn't hosting jack. She'd stand next to the front of the bar, occasionally punch things in on the computer, and was a complete waste of space. I may have been wearing a mini skirt, but it's not like I was flashing everyone in the bar or anything. Really strange, but I didn't allow it to ruin my good time.

In short: Bring your girls, sit on the patio, drink sangria, eat cheese, be happy. --- I went here for the first time last night to help celebrate a friend's birthday, and I would definitely go back. The highlights: Wine-inspired ice cream, gelato, and sorbet made exclusively for TLR by Sweet Action. Pitchers of sangria The back patio The service Beef Sliders --- So, a group of us slowly trickled in and lingered over a few hours, many drinks, and many many plates of tapas. It's pretty easy to spend a lot of money when you are drinking and noshing, but if you know that going in, it's totally on point. Our waitress, Super Dee, was SO AWESOME. She deserves a specific high five and shout out. She took great care of us! The boursin crostini was AMAZING. I think we ordered 7-8 re-orders of it. The cheese plate was awesome too. Seriously, all the food here is awesome. --- The rest of it is just a typical Broadway bar, with a little dark and gothy-glam style to the interior, and a wine selection that I didn't sample. The music was a little odd, and that's fine - we were focused on our experience of just hanging out on the patio and having fun. How would The Living Room fit into my future plans? Afternoon happy hours from 4-7, plenty of noshing and drinking on the patio. Find on street parking, as the meters go till 6. Get in, have fun, get out before the area gets too crazy pants. I will note that it's probably more of a "girls" place than anything. I don't think I saw any guys there?? My husband was the only one in our group, and he wasn't really into the groove of this place, but he agrees the food was great, and the patio was awesome. Bring your girls, sit on the patio, drink sangria, eat cheese, be happy.

Great wine. Great live music in the weekends! Nicole, Danielle, Debbie, and Raul at the bar make this place...hands down.

The living room is a lounge. dark and nooky, serving drinks and tapas set to a back beat of REALLY LOUD MUSIC. Parking: None. Find street parking *somewhere* in this maze of sketchy alleyways and hike in. Ladies, have fun getting back to your car in the dark. Seating: 1. Inside, where you have to scream over the music to communicate. 2. Outside, on the back patio with a lovely view of the alley 3. Outside, 6 seats by the front patio fireplace (good luck!) Tapas: Surprisingly delicious! Brie with raspberries decadent! Candied pork belly- A-OK! Wine by the ounce pour station: we were the only ones who used it all night, but they had a Turley Zin!!! I was with one person and we were trying to have a conversation and it was impossible. At one point the music was so loud and I was straining so hard to listen, that I suddenly felt ill and wanted to flee the building screaming. So let's be frank- this is a bar. Come to get hammered, socially. Not a place for conversation, not a true wine and tapas destination.

I went there last night for the first time. Excellent wine, food and atmosphere. They could improve on the beer list but I guess it is a wine bar. They have a great patio and a friendly staff.

Fun lounge-style bar with delicious tapas and a good wine selection. We enjoyed the dark ambiance and open layout. Walkable to Denver Art Museum. We will be back!

Very nice atmosphere and helpful friendly staff. The martini was warm, and the Happy Hour tapas not so good. The sliders supposedly had Gruyère and caramelized onions, but it tasted like something warmed over from being stored in the fridge. Not much flavor at all. The dates were hard little spheres. Both looked good in principle, but in practice they didn't pull either off. I give the ambiance an A. The staff an B (friendly, but the martini wasn't shaken sufficiently well). And the food a C. This would be a nice place to meet friends -- but go for their company, not for the food.

We had really poor service at The Living Room. Granted, there was a painting class going on during our visit and we were there during the "in between" happy hour. However, I felt like we were a burden even being there. I don't WANT to dislike this place because it seems to have a great vibe and good intentions... I just wasn't impressed.

Not as many enomatic machines as Vinue in Cherry Creek but they have a sprawling indoor/outdoor space with a great chilled out vibe. They also have a performance stage for musicians. N.B. Don't forget about the back patio as that can be nice as well.

I have been to the Living Room several times ad recently decided to host an event there for my birthday. The staff has always been incredibly professional and personable and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Working with the manager Nicole was great, she provided suggestions on party planning and also a catering menu as well. In the end, it was a great choice for location and not to mention a great venue with incredible service, good wines, and super yummy food and I would highly recommend having an event there if you are looking for something low key to do with a group. Also, I have tried out their new Summer Brunch menu for Sangria Saturdays which has some awesome selections for brunch including steak and eggs and a killer french toast. The Sangria is off the hook and plan on leaving your car at home if you want to have more than 1.

This is my favorite place to kick back and hang out during the week! The food is always delicious and the staff is fun and friendly. Whether I want to bring my laptop and enjoy a glass of the happy hour wine (better than any "house red" I've had) or come in with friends on a friday night, I always enjoy hanging out there....and the band that plays on most saturdays is soooo good. I recommend stopping in for a weekday happy hour, relaxed atmosphere with great deals on quality wine and liquor.

Some old friends of mine wanted to meet up one night, and the task fell upon me to find a spot. Well, I had been wanting to try the Living Room, and what with my friends being classy folks who like to slug fermented beverages, I figured this would be the perfect spot. We got here around 9 on a Saturday night, it was a little busy but not full. Our server immediately got us drinks, and she was very friendly. Even though it's listed as a wine bar, they have a pretty impressive selection of alternative beverages as well. We had all come from dinner, so we didn't sample any food. The place is very spacious, and aptly named. Most of the seating arrangements involve couches, love seats, and coffee tables, which made for a very relaxing and intimate experience. The bar is located right in the middle and it's quite large, and the bartender knew her stuff. Meander towards the back, and you will find a self-service wine table, much like the tap tables at beer spots. I think that's a great touch. We had a great time here, and I will definitely come back. It's a great spot for groups, and everyone who was working tonight was really personable, In fact, hats off to the gentleman working the door. I was very impressed with his cheery attitude, customer service, and friendliness. This is definitely a spot worth checking out!

1 parts: casual/chic/upscale atmosphere (including firepit on the patio and modern furniture throughout) 1 parts: complete wine bar/tasting area (um, wow) 2 parts: awesome happy hour ($3 wines, wells and beers) a splash of awesome service... ...creates the perfect mix for a happy hour out with friends/colleagues/family :)

I won't go back to the living room after I looked at my bank statement and realized the bartender wrote in his own tip AFTER I tipped him in cash. What a thief. I called the restaurant during business hours to ask for the manager, but no one answers the phone. I just cannot fathom a bartender stealing from me, so I will NEVER go back there!!!!

I love the wine machine here. Great fire pit. The brie is my favorite appetizer. They also make mules in copper mugs. I love lounging on the patio and watching all the club kids go to the clubs surrounding the place. Very chill place to meet people and you can actually have a conversation. So hey, good for dates.

I have loved the look of this place, with 2 swinging "bubble chairs," couches, etc., on the front sidewalk, along with curtains, all very inviting from the outside. We tried this wine and tapas restaurant tonight, for a small bite to eat, close to home, in the neighborhood, etc. So....let's get to it. Service - excellent! Our waitress was good tonight, right on, She seemed to sense what we needed, just before we needed it. Interior - just like your living room..... lots of seating areas with couches and sofa type (lower) tables, very comfortable. There were also some booths along one wall. High ceiling which was painted black, with the exposed pipe work, the "in thing" right now. Very open interior, very easy to move around. Granted it was still early in the evening, so I'm not sure what it would be like later in the evening. Food / Price- a very small menu (no pun intended, as this is tapas - small meals). Anyway, there are 15 items on the menu, with 7 of them being half price during happy hour (4-7pm Tuesdays through Saturday). We had the brushetta, which was nicely done, the sliders (the crab slider and the beef slider), as well as the caesar salad. It was all good, just the right amount. Along with 3 beers, and 2 pepsi drinks, our total was $26 - not bad since it was happy hour. The normal price would have been around $42. So, if you want to go, go during happy hour, to save some money. Bar - there is a nice size bar in the middle, with approximately 16 seats. Drinks - there is an Enomatic Wine Serving System in the middle of the restaurant. This is where you purchase a card from the bar (or from your server), for a minimum of $10 (good for one year), and you can get 1oz "tasters" of various wines. There are up to 24 wines. A taste can be anywhere from $2 (I believe) up to $5. This is a god way to try some wine that you might not have otherwise tried. Parking - street or the lot right next to the building. This is the "place to be seen" right now, one of the trendy places. It is a nice place to start your evening off, which seems many people were doing just that this evening. I wonder how long they will be around, it will be interesting to see.

Stopped in for happy hour. They were out the arugula salad and I was DEVASTATED because I love arugula and their arugula salad involved my new favorite thing in the world: goat cheese. :( I settled for the bibb lettuce salad which was nothing special. The crab cakes were the tiniest things I'd ever seen! I always wonder if they give smaller portions when the items are on happy hour. The saving grace was the Brioche thingy I got. The bartender was nice. The atmosphere inside seemed a little odd though. There was a nice fireplace outside but the bar seemed outdated. The furniture inside didn't seem to connect. I've love to give them another try when they have music!

Stopped in for happy hour and started off with an ice cold craft brew. Ordered the Pear salad, threesome of beef sliders, Gorgonzola stuffed figs (I need this recipe - they were addictive!), baked raspberry brie, and a hummus plate to share with a friend. We stuffed our mouths with tapas while sitting on the patio listening to the band play on a hot summer afternoon. It was definitely a great people watching spot. Our server was friendly and attentive...but when one of the three beef sliders we ordered showed up as a crab cake slider, she swapped it out for beef and then proceeded to charge us for four. No worries though - we had a good time and enjoyed it all!

I almost feel bad reviewing this place because my experience was so strange. Some friends and I stopped in after a long day of drinking. There was apparently a singles event going on, so all the guys were dressed up, lots of sportcoats, and all the women were wearing cocktail dresses. Fortunately, my shorts had pinstripes otherwise I would have really felt like a dumbass. I also think that the singles event was for people 40 and above because everyone was old. (so I fit in ;)) Anyway, I'm not sure if that's the typical crowd that attends this joint, but the service was very good for drinks even for as busy as it was. We didn't eat here, just drinky drinks. They've got a cool wine dispenser and the look and feel of the joint is pretty cool. They've also got a little patio area with some crazy hanging chairs and couches. Overall, it was an A-OK experience, but didn't feel like my style of joint. I'm sure I'll give it another go at some point though.

A group of us bridesmaids hosted our friends engagement party at the Living Room last weekend and we had a great time. The manager Nicole was really helpful and friendly about everything we needed leading up to the event. Our cocktail waitress Debbie was really sweet and patient and we all loved her! A lot of our guests were from Vail and hadn't heard of or been to the Living Room and loved the space.

Ran my card again for a different amount a few days after my initial bill cleared my bank statement. Getting ahold of them to get the problem fixed was completely impossible unless I wanted to drive down there. Left a message on their Facebook and a voicemail on the number provided on yelp with no response. I had to file a claim with my bank to get the charge reversed. Our waitress was sweet, but kept ignoring us standing by the computers to get our bills to sit with her friends. The cocktails were watery and weak but the wine machine was neat. It's too bad, the place has potential but my group won't be back.

I visited here on Friday with a large group for my birthday. I emailed the place and the coordinator was more than accomodating and was able to reserve a couch area, next to the DJ, for no charge. Happy Hour at The Living Room = awesome. Great prices, great food and drink, and plenty of comfortable seating options. The service was not worth highlighting - our girl seemed to be struggling with a wicked hangover at 6:00pm. The bartender was better, but we only interacted with him briefly when we arrived. The one other time I visited, I vowed never to return - after 9pm this place caters to the Vinyl/City Hall/Bar Standard crowd in their slimy sport coats and spandex mini dresses. In short, stop by for happy hour, but avoid the late night crowd, unless of course you're looking for that sort of thing.

Saturday night my wife and i decided that we'd like drinks and some dessert preferably on a patio as it was such a beautiful evening. I mentioned having seen the Living Room and we looked at their website and saw that they were supposed to have desserts "to die for." Sold. So off we went with another couple in tow. Luckily we manage to get some seats on their front seating area, just outside. The bubble chair is a fun experience. It looks like they used to have two, but someone must have broken one. Our first disappointment was when the waitress said they didn't have any desserts. Serious?! You advertise your desserts and then don't have any? They also didn't have a cocktail menu at all. I know, they're a wine bar, but still I expected something a little more. The drinks we got were all fine. And the last disappointment, and maybe this is just me getting old, is that the music even out on the patio was so blaring loud that we had to scream to talk with each other. I doubt we'll be back. Oh well. Luckily we live in Denver with tons of options!

Meh.... not impressed. My first night in Denver we came here. Thought it would be cool to try a wine bar with the automatic pour service that they offer here however per the bartender who seemed a tad out of it said "it's been broken for several weeks" so I ended up ordering a St. Germain, Vodka and Club Soda. The BF ended up ordering a glass of wine that they did have behind the bar. The crowd was interesting. True Religion jeans with a fitted dressy shirts is what some of the guys were wearing and the chicks were rocking the tightest of all clothing. Perhaps picked up in the children's section at WalMart. It was fun to people watch. We had one drink and we were DONE! The DJ was not spinning records but playing CDs. He was doing some scratching thing that the BF ended up explaining to me the machine that is used to do that and more techie things. The music was not my cup of tea.. Top 40 redundant crap. Three stars for having some wine and St. Germain.

Living room is like a bad boyfriend. This place went from really bad on my first visit to being really good my second visit (reasonably priced drinks, happy hour d.j., friendly bartenders) to really BAD on my third visit. I went back for happy hour again, this time no piano player or dj. A sad empty lonely stage to look at while I drank an overpriced ($18) Beam and Coke. I know what you're thinking, it's a wine bar, but I was having one of those days plus they were out of my fav red wine. This ISN'T LA! The manager/bartender wasn't very friendly like on my last visit. Also, the restrooms were filthy. Dear Living Room, we're broken up.

My friend suggested this place to me a week ago and I can foresee myself coming here more often. The waitress and staff were not only friendly but were very attentive. It wasn't really packed the night we went, but it was still a lot of fun. The wine selection was great. The manager took the time out of her day to go through each wine with us and explained how the enomatic wine machine worked. I can't tell you how AMAZING the food was! Most people assume that bar/lounge tapas are just cheap, but this was not the case. We ordered the bruschetta, caprese panini and the baked raspberry brie. I love food, but I have never had something that would have me thinking about it all weekend long. Please, please try the baked raspberry brie if you are a cheese fanatic like me. I definitely recommend this place to all the wine lovers!

The atmosphere is great, very loungy and a comfy place to hang in a group or on a date. The food is pretty good too, some plates better than others. This review applies exclusively to their New Year's celebration as I have not been there otherwise. I was looking for something low key, yet entertaining and was trying not to spend a lot of money. I saw that local jazz band Danette Hollowell and Vintage 3d were playing that evening and thought that an evening listening to jazz would be the perfect way to ring in the New Year. I made reservations the day before and braced myself for the cover fee -- to my delight, there was none! However, this would not be my only delightful surprise. When we arrived on NYE, we saw a private area set aside with large, leather chairs surrounding a table filled with NYE party favors. I thought to myself, "I wonder what you have to pay to get that??" Guess what - it was for us!! We sat down, a little slyly, worried we were getting away with something... when the manager, Nicole, came up to us and introduced herself. She was warm, friendly, and proved attentive throughout the evening. To top it off, a lovely gentleman approached us offering a complimentary Stella. No cover, free booze, and VIP service. The band was fantastic to boot. I paid $300 for less party and less attention in NYC... The Living Room really knocked it out of the park here. Thanks Nicole!

Extraordinary rude bartender(s). AS IF Living Room is a 5-star hotel bar. The atmosphere was a combination of night club (with a crappy basement smell) and neighborhood watering hole. But it wants to be high-end and sexy. So many other NICE bars in the area to spend my money at! Next!

I really like the Living Room! It's very comfortable for hanging out with bunches of your friends. I didn't get to try the cool little wine sampling gadget they had, but it looks interesting and fun. The service was a little chaotic but it we ended up working it out in the end with checks etc. The live music they have is great, low key, not overwhelming, perfect background to chill to. It's definitely an ideal spot to meet up with a bunch of gals before hitting up the rest of the town.

I was pretty impressed with the Living Room. As the name implies, it's pretty comfortable there. I like the swanky lounge feel to the place. The staff was not only attractive, but competent. People were pretty nice and friendly there. Those aren't things I usually encounter in Denver's club scene. In fact, so much so that I often avoid Denver's club scene. The Living Room is a nice break from all of that. In fact, next time I get dragged into the SoCo scene, I think I'll be hiding at the Living Room.

Loved the interior here! I am a girl who likes comfort when I go out these days and this placed offered lots of it. Several seating areas with benches, booths, leather cushy chairs, and a large circular bench area for entertaining a large party. The bright white piano is striking amongst the darkness of everything else. Live music is a regular feature here. The wine "on tap" offering is a fantastic idea. Get a minimum $10 card and experience any number of pours from the wine offerings on tap. 1oz pours vary from $1.60-$6. Cards are good for one year. In addition to drinks, The Living Room offers light fare - several items which are 1/2 off during happy hour from 4-7. I ate the hummus plate that came with red pepper hummus and a spinach hummus. Neither were the best hummus I've ever had, but I ate every last bit of it. Served with soft pita-type bread, cucumbers, carrots, olives, and really good feta cheese. The menu was not for heavy dining - but fares well for a light meal while you mingle with friends over beverages. This place seems well suited for gathering with friends - open areas and the ability to talk without having to scream. I'll be back real soon!

This place is very kool. I had the opportunity to be the third wheel on Valentine's Eve which was another means of ambiance I guess you could say. The art is very nice and mix of seating allows some great mixes of group to couple to singles... As mentioned already the enomatic system seems pretty interesting as well. I don't know if that's because I am part geek or what though. Either way, it definitely caters to the changes in society to that of convenience... I will always weigh in on places and their customer service and this place has chosen some winners. From the manager on duty to the wait staff, I don't think I ever had close to an empty glass without them checking to make sure I didn't need anything. Yahoo for the Living Room and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

The atmosphere is great, very loungy and a comfy place to hang in a group or on a date. The food is pretty good too, some plates better than others. I give it three stars because we had subpar service; it may have been this particular server but she didn't know the menu and tried to blame us when she messed up the order. I'd still go back though :)

I loved the decor. There is a cool ambiance with comfy sofas, outside patio, booths and bar so you get to choose your space. A nice lounge to meet more wine, cocktails and nibbles. I went with 2 girlfriends for drinks during girls night out. We found some comfy sofas, we had a super friendly waitress, and we had plenty of options to pick from. One of my friends had a draught cider, the other one wine, and I had arugula cucumber martini...a concoction of muddled arugula with cucumber infused vodka, lemon juice and agave syrup....yummy We also had a hummus plate with veggies and pita bread that was very nice. I will be back soon to try their wine selection

I am only giving 4 stars today because the wine servers were all out of order and I would have liked to have tried them - and since this is one of their biggest attractions, found it out that they were out of service. Had the hummus and bread with olive oil - did manage to swing the Happy Hour specials for wine and food (the Happy Hour menu was pretty good). I went to the Living Room for a surprise 30th birthday party, and was very impressed. They have such a cool atmosphere, with comfy seating, both inside and out. That patio is super awesome, with comfy couches, chairs, and fire pit... I'll definitely be frequenting it when the weather turns warm! They have an great happy hour, which includes beer, wine, cocktails, and food. I was very excited to be able to get Strongbow on tap for HH!! Yay!! I love the wine tasting machine...absolutely genius. You pay the bartenders who put money on a card, and then insert the card above the wine you want. You can get a tasting sized pour, or opt for a whole glass. So much fun!! The food for the party was all delicious: meat and cheese platters, two different kinds of hummus w/ veggies and pita bread. They also passed around sliders, which were just okay. My husband loved them, but I thought they were lacking in flavor a little bit. I'm definitely looking forward to going back to the Living Room, to grab a Strongbow, hang out on the patio, and enjoy the amazing space.

What a warm, inviting atmosphere! The name Living Room is quite appropriate. My wine group met here this month and really had a great time. Their HH includes a featured red and white at only $5. Now, at some other venues, that $5 HH drink would be just that--a cheap wine. But the red at The Living Room that night was a Chilean Carmenere (coincidentally one of my favorites!), and it was delicious!! We didn't try any food, but will have to do that next time. Also next time, it would be fun to try the wine tasting and sit on the outside patio on a warm night. Our service was great, and we will be back!

Giving The Living Room a two-star rating instead of three was a tough call. My first impression was pretty good but it was just based on appearances. The layout is incredible and includes a nice bar, comfortable booths, eclectic art, soft couches, a stunning grand piano, fire pits and bubble chairs outside, etc. This place will impress you the moment you walk in; The Living Room is one classy joint. However, that night left a bit of a foul taste in my mouth but I decided to give it another chance. My friend and I were treated a bit disrespectfully. Although the bartenders are nothing special, they still seem to have mastered the art of condescension. The manager (Mermaid?) wasn't much better. I will probably not return; it is disappointing because The Living Room has potential. It's like a meeting a beautiful woman dressed to impress and finding out she has more baggage than a fully-loaded 747. The attitude here killed the mood for me and the aesthetic beauty just doesn't make up for it. I wouldn't recommend it.

Hadn't heard of this place before but a friend mentioned it so we stopped for a post Friday night dinner hangout. Loved the modern upscale environment. Our waitress was funny and very cool. Good drinks including my friends Moscow mule in a copper mug. Music was a bit too loud. It would be impossible to hear anyone across the coffee tables. I can see myself going back to see if they put the piano to use. Crowd was young and very casual with a few dressier folks throughout. Overall pretty hip place to hang out without a pretentious feel. I would classify as wine bar fusion.

Happy Hour Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm $3 Wine, Well and Draft The Living Room is a great use of space, beautiful art and unique vibe. It seems to get more of the late night Broadway club overflow than the ealier evening patrons. They have an enomatic system which allows guests to experience a variety of wines, tastes range from $2 to $6 per ounce. Small plates of mediterranean dishes. Great venue for a larger group, the back patio is being completed and looks promising as well.

Yelp, I wish I could give this place 3 and a half stars. The food and drinks are great and they have a happy hour until 7 pm which is awesome but the service was just so so. The waitress was nice enough but even when we said we were in a hurry she took forever to take our order and I eventually went up to the bar and put in an order with her directly. Will go back for sure and I hope we have better service next time! Their martinis are great!

The Living Room feels high end but isn't high priced. It's also a great place to go with a big group of people. We recently congregated there for my friend's birthday and it worked out really well. We had plenty of space, lots of great seating options and great drinks. The enomatic wine system is snazzy too. Overall, the bars on Broadway are a refreshing departure from the crowded LoDo scene.

  • Rebekah L.

Many of the wines dispensed from the Enomatic wine sampling system were out and the ones I sampled weren't worth the amount of money they charged. Service and atmosphere was excellent, lots of couches and booths to relax in and they even had a firepit to sit at outside. The food was good but I found it a little odd that the sliders are listed as a half priced item for HH but they only serve 2 sliders (instead of 3), not sure how that equates to being half priced? I would go back for the sliders but order from the wine menu. I won't sample wines from Enomatic system again.

Nice chill spot for Happy Hour. They have had the same white wine on special for ages, which is fine because I love it, and they have a good draft selection for $3. I haven't eaten here yet but it always smells awesome when I've been in. Not usually busy during happy hour which is fine with me. Just a nice, laid back, quite place to relax with a few drinks and some good conversation.

  • Margo N.

My third happy hour at the living room we ordered the sliders, among other things. The menu says half price and describes 3 sliders (full price $12). I got 2 sliders and the price was $7! When I brought this to our servers attention she helpfully said, "well, the appetizers are really AROUND half price". Really? Don't think I will be returning to the living room, too bad.

Planned a listening party for a group of 40 on a Wednesday night at Living Room. Minimal staff on duty, however they easily handled our drink requests and food steadily came from the kitchen. Good selection of draft beers and the venue is nice. Seating is large and comfy with a great patio.

The Living Room is exactly how it was named. A giant space filled with couches where one can relax with a glass of wine. Every time I have gone to this wine bar it has been pretty slow which is a little disappointing when you go to meet friends for some drinks but this place is so cool I will forgive them for the lack of crowd, it was also a weekday night that I went. Stocked with a full bar, The Living Room has something unique to add to the bar scene --a self serve wine system. Purchase a card from your friendly bartender with however much money you want to put on it and then grab a glass from the rack and pick and choose from the different reds and whites they have available in the wine distribution center. When you put your card in and press the button for the wine it pours out in one-ounce servings so once you find a wine you like...FILL 'ER UP!!!!

Service was average, tapas menu selection was below average, wine selection was below average, pricepoints were above average. Decor, however, was BEAUTIFUL!! Paintings adorned the walls and comfy booths and couches were sprinkled amidst the floorspace. All in all, maybe a place to drop by for one drink while on a longer night out.

You like trendy? I'm not a big fan. I didn't care for falling in to couches that I couldn't get out of either. Wine from a milk dispenser? Could be forgiven if it were good wine but it was a really uninspired list. I went for the same old beer I always have. At least it was happy hour pricing.

What a great place for a drink! Very warm, classy, innovative, relaxed and congenial place. Incredible, beautiful, huge art on the wall lit with up-lights. Bar seating, booth seating, and lounge seating abound, and tons of standing room if it were to get crowded. Crowd in 30's, 40's and 50's there on a Saturday night, good service, and great novelty there - a self-serve super-nice wine tap with 20-30 wines available for tasting in 1oz samples, works on a prepaid card you buy at the bar. Great place to take a date for a drink, or to go with a few couples for an evening. Bartenders and waitresses could be a bit friendlier to customers, but overall great spot.

Was looking for a new place to meet up with my friend Jocelyne and remembered passing by this place. It was a Friday night and after the cab driver that took me there said "May God bless you" as I exited the cab I was sure he did when I walked in the place! It is a definite departure from any kind of lounge/bar/club space anywhere in Denver. It is a very comfortable space with more than a few comfortable seating arrangements and some of the most beautiful girls that I have ever seen working there (You know who you are XXOO).It was a Friday night and since I am not one for the weekend crowds, I was happy to see it wasn't too crowded. I thought the wine options were varied and had about as many choices ans any other wine bar in town, however they have a very fun system in which you load a debit type card with a dollar amount and then proceed with the card to an automated/climate controlled kiosk and purchase the wines by the ounce. There are definitely some high end wines that you never see offered by the glass as well as some value oriented choices. I was looking for a departure from my usual and opted to try some premium rums. Very tasty, but a little on the short side of the pour for $7...apperently I drank so much to get me drunk enough to go to the Mexican place a few blocks over for drunken Karaoke and more Stoli Vanil/Bluberry on the rocks in a pint glass...and you call yourself my friend Jocelyne!?

This place is a pretty cool hangout. I went to check out the wines as it showed up as a wine bar. The cool wine automatic machine was the best part. After you do the math and figure out at 4.51 a oz comes out to $112.75 for a bottle of Penfolds bin 128 Shiraz . My $20 card was gone after 4oz's ,ouch!!! Love the machine but the cost was ridiculous. Trendy place to hangout, don't go for the wine unless you can expense it.

Okay. I've only been once and maybe it was an off night. But it was a Saturday and there were seriously 20 people in the bar and 15 were people I came with. It was hot as hell in there, the bartender was WAY more interested in talking to his friends and then for a little while he told one of my friends that he had already given her her debit card back after closing her tab and my friend was like "No you haven't." After about 20 mins the situation got cleared up but it was a total pain. Needless to say, I'll hit other bars before this one.

This place has a long way to go and risks never getting there. Average wine list and their bartenders are bartenders, not wine enthusiasts. Food menu was par but a little pricy. Good decor and a cool space but it's owned by that owner of a few mediocre night clubs in Denver so therefore his effort for a cool wine bar is pretty average. Not surprised as Denver continues to try and try again yet rarely hit the mark with anything trendy and cutting edge. I love how they spent the money on an Enomatic and it couldn't be more out of place. C'mon Denver, go to San Francisco, New York, or Miami and research successful places before opening more crap. Oh also, my Pinot Noir was served at over 80 degrees and what's with the hanging half dome chairs. Classy!

I wouldn't recommend it.

we really enjoy going here. the staff is always very friendly and make you feel so welcome. the live music is nice and chill but not so loud you cant talk. its just a great place to unwind or start out your evening. A visit to the patio is a must, even in cold weather their fire pit makes it enjoyable.

Cute place! Love the decor, low-key aspect, and service! We didnt eat, but liked the beer and wine selection. Our friends did the enomachine thing, but i'm a malbec or granacha drinker, and they didnt have either of those on the rotation, but everyone enjoyed it. they had a pretty decent beer list and the server noticed that most of us were drinking beer and brought over samples of what they had on tap for us. She was super sweet and did a good job with our party. Live jazz was a little loud for such a small place, but nice to have. Cant wait to come back for happy hour!!

Went here on a quiet Thursday night to celebrate my birthday. The service was great, the food was amazing, the live music was fun without being too loud or overwhelming. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy plate after plate of tapas while splitting a bottle of wine. The only downside was getting a cab to head back to our hotel was a challenge.

The Sangria is off the hook and plan on leaving your car at home if you want to have more than 1.

    (4)
  • Rebekah L.

Many of the wines dispensed from the Enomatic wine sampling system were out and the ones I sampled weren't worth the amount of money they charged. Service and atmosphere was excellent, lots of couches and booths to relax in and they even had a firepit to sit at outside. The food was good but I found it a little odd that the sliders are listed as a half priced item for HH but they only serve 2 sliders (instead of 3), not sure how that equates to being half priced? I would go back for the sliders but order from the wine menu. I won't sample wines from Enomatic system again.

Probably my favorite option in this part of Denver. Very comfortable atmosphere, nice background music, plenty of space, and some interesting food options. If they had a few more drink specials, they'd be perfect.

Classy!

    (2)
  • Daniel K.

I love the wine machine here. Great fire pit. The brie is my favorite appetizer. They also make mules in copper mugs.

Next!

Germain.

I am only giving 4 stars today because the wine servers were all out of order and I would have liked to have tried them - and since this is one of their biggest attractions, found it out that they were out of service. Anyway, went on a Friday night and it was a blast! The service was great and so was the food. Had the hummus and bread with olive oil - did manage to swing the Happy Hour specials for wine and food (the Happy Hour menu was pretty good). It is just a very cool place and the fire pit is a great place to warm up by. I look forward to going back very soon!

  • Lauren D.

  • Michael S.

    (4)

  • Green D.

Love This Place! Tried it out for the first time tonight with a great group of friends. Perfect low key wine/piano bar! Great for groups or a romantic date night! Wine selection was excellent & the staff was top notch!

  • K M.

  • Jason R.

Classy!

    (2)
  • Daniel K.

  • Jess M.

  • adam a.

we really enjoy going here. the staff is always very friendly and make you feel so welcome. the live music is nice and chill but not so loud you cant talk. its just a great place to unwind or start out your evening. A visit to the patio is a must, even in cold weather their fire pit makes it enjoyable.

  • Maggie B.

  • Carolyn M.

  • Kelly S.

This is a cool place to hang out! Great ambiance, ample seating and they have fire pits on the patio for cooler nights! Service was a tad slow, we had to constantly flag down the bartenders but it was overall a fun experience!
