Baby sis and I were staying nearby in LoDo and we wanted to try a different place for every meal, as much as it was possible. The morning we went to Duffeyroll, I decided that I would walk with her to the Colorado Convention Center to finally see the Big Blue Bear afterwards. She was somewhat in a hurry, as we left that morning a little later than we probably should have. I had considered going somewhere we were would get waiter service but after she voiced her concern, I remembered that there was a cinnamon roll place nearby that had a good average Yelp rating. We came pretty early, between 8 and 9 am, on a Friday morning at the end of November. I was sure we'd get the rolls coming right out of the oven at that hour. As we walked in, we both got excited by the possibility of eating warm cinnamon rolls for breakfast on a chilly morning. The case had rows and rows of cinnamon rolls. This was going to be awesome. The guy at the register immediately moved to the back of the case, in preparation of retrieving the rolls we requested. Since it was our first time, we asked for time to decide and look over the menu. He politely moved aside and baby sis and I deliberated. We noticed that there were 6 different flavors (Original, Zesty Orange, Irish Cream, Mountain Maple, English Toffee, and Pecanilla Crunch). Having eaten many a cinnamon rolls and knowing that they can be decadent, we decided we would try all six, to not regret missing out on anything, but go with the box o' six mini Duffeyrolls. Perfect compromise. Our selection was quickly boxed and after paying less than a buck per roll, grabbing some napkins and a knife to split up the rolls, we left. Hmmm, I thought to myself. This box is not even slightly warm. Is the paper box super heat resistant or are these rolls not hot at all? I dug my grubby fingers in to verify and indeed, these little things were room temperature. Crap. Okay, well, hopefully they are amazing because truthfully, the charm of cinnamon rolls for me is partly their warmth. I cut up all the rolls in half so that sis and I could try all the flavors. Hmmm... These rolls are flaky, which some Yelpers had noted. In being flaky, they lacked the moisture of the rolls I had eaten and savored in the past. All the flavors were interesting, with Zesty Orange and English Toffee coming out on top for me. But honestly, I did not fall in love with any of them and felt let-down. If you are seeking hot, moist (maybe even gooey) cinnamon rolls, you will have to search for another place. If you want flaky, not-too-messy rolls, Duffeyrolls will be right up your alley.

Im Glad this opened up on the Mall. Since I have never been to this location before or the one down south. Now was the time. I ordered a Delicious sandwich and it was tasty. And the price wasnt bad either. Came with a free Mini Roll. Only Set back was they dont have a Soda Fountain yet. Its all in cans. But the guy working behind the counter was more than friendly and was always checking up on me during my meal.

Love their French Cinnamon coffee and the light rolls too. The spice breakfast sandwich is a all time favorite too!

I had heard wonderful things about this duffy roll, and when i hear they opened one down town - oh yes please! Located next to the wells fargo at 16th and blake. Sadly it took me nearly 5 months to pop in it was after a trying day, i was starving and i needed a little pick me up. I walked in was greeted and said - ok, i am here to try a duffy roll! To which he responded - well you are in luck - your first one is free! Say what? Kinda like crack - first taste is free then you are hooked. Damn skippy, and that is what happened. They warmed it up and handed it over. Mmm, mmmm, mmmmmm I'm a convert! Lucky it takes a 20 block walk to get there, and parking isn't worth the hassle (to me) - although i did luck out on a random wednesday at 8am... I pickup up 2 boxes of the mini's to convert the people at a conference i was at! The flavors are great, so tasty and yummy! I have not partaken in anything else in the store, but i see myself visiting often so i can get to the rest of the menu then!

These guys just opened down the street from my office and I was really excited to have a local business to support instead of "rhymes with CarTrucks." Turns out their coffee is really good. They have two different Coda (also local) brews for their drip coffee. A house blend and a cinnamon-flavored blend. Both are great. The folks working the counter are all really nice in the morning, and Ryan, the manager, knows me by name and greats me every morning. It's the small things that can make a morning go from ok to great and a friendly greeting and a mini-duffeyroll both do the trick!

Delicious rolls! First Duffeyroll I ever visit and now I understand why it's a hit with locals. Cinnamon roll purists may not like this version, but both of them are tasty to me. While traditional cinnamon rolls are bready and made with yeast, the duffeyrolls are more of a puff-pastry type of dough. Thus its very crunchy and reminds me of a sweet croissant. There were several flavors to choose from. Although i went with the original (cinnamon based) dufferyroll, I cannot wait to try the orange one or the maple flavored one.

I was on a quest for some caffeine and was almost going to go to Starbucks down the street. However, being new to Colorado I knew I had to try this place out. As soon as I came in, the lady welcomed me, and I guess my mouth was salivating while my eyes were popping out because she knew it was my first time. She told me about the duffey roll and how it was different from the usual cinnamon roll, a different kind of dough is key, and let me just say there definitely is a taste difference! I was able to acquire 2 Free minis (one for it being my first time and the other with my drink) and they were both delicious! I got a dirty chai which wasn't much different from others I'd had before. But I'm super glad I came in here I'll be back for breakfast next! P.S. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating that is dropped down and looks onto the pedestrians.

Yum. Sometimes a little too caked with sugar but yummy just the same. Savory sandwiches are good too! Manager Sean is always there and seems to really care about his job.

I have had two lunch sandwiches here and they were both below normal sandwich quality on the mall, even below chain shops such as Jimmy Johns or Subway. Today there was mayo on one half of my sandwich, and no meat at all on the other. One would think they would at least look to ensure all ingredients were on both halves of the sandwich when cut in half, but I guess not. The free mini rolls aren't even that much of a treat because they are cold. Wouldn't recommend this location at all. The other locations are much better.

So excited to have a new breakfast spot in LoDo! I checked this place out for the first time today. I really enjoyed their coffee and I had to try a Duffey Role, which was very good. I was excited to see they have other breakfast options available, and also a good lunch menu. I will most likely be going back for lunch today! Definitely a great addition to the LoDo neighborhood!

Liked this place! Very friendly service and you get a free mini roll with any drink or sandwhich ( and potentially other items). Recommended!

You know, for a quick, cheap breakfast spot I can't complain. Girl who took my order was genuinely cheerful and nice. Sausage sandwich was good, and kitchen kindly asked me if it was. Sat outside under shade and watched passersby. Had the free special namesake roll w my sandwich purchase. Good cinnamon coffee.

i'm 96.2% certain that the four pounds I have gained over the past few months are a result of this place being two blocks from my office. and not to say that they don't have healthier options because they actually do. I just happen to prefer the breakfast or lunch sandwiches that come with a mini duffeyroll. the food is always amazing, the staff is always super friendly and I haven't had to wait long for my food even if it's been relatively busy in there. nice work, duffeyroll cafe!

I heard about this place and how good their food and cinnabun my butt and whatever is and that I should check them out so when I showed on a Sunday at 11:30am to get breakfast with my girlfriend I see that they aren't actually open like the yelp posting says they are supposed to be open so now I hate them forever!

Visited this location late afternoon, the rolls were dry, hard... Perhaps the owners should spend less money and attention on decor and onings and more on training, development and food quality. This place is awful.

Glad to see Duffy downtown. When ever we have family and friends in town to visit we always take them to Duffys. Everyone loves the Duffy rolls and the breakfast sandwiches are awesome. Met the owner at the downtown location, really cool guy.

Just left from this place 10 mins ago. Awesome service, not crowded like starbucks, yet I'm impressed by their coffee selection. I tried a breakfast sandwich, and ordered a box of a dozen rolls for the office...Everyone loves it. Good stuff Duffyroll Cafe! My new favorite morning spot.

They have great food, but with cinnamon rolls they really knock it out of the park. This Denver LoDo location just opened up and it's been great!

Excellent breakfast sandwiches, and beware - they're huge! Big fan of their rosemary ciabatta bread. Free mini duffyroll with purchase is a plus, and don't pass up on the cinnamon spice coffee!
