Best burrito! A coworker brought me a burrito from here and I am a fan. I don't normally like beans in my food but these are flavorful. Not a convenient location for me, but look forward to another burrito for here.

Best breakfast burrito spot in Denver. It is cash only so make sure you have money on you when you go in.

I train at the gym next door, so this place is perfectly positioned and a welcome relief after an hour or two of intense workouts. They make some excellent burritos and tamales. Those carbs are a true lifesaver at times like this. I've literally walked in there exhausted and walked out feeling on top of the world. There is nothing a smothered burrito and a Rockstar won't cure. It may look a little "hole-in-the-wall" with the bars over the windows, but don't let that scare you off. Once inside you'll be greeted with a smile and they'll quickly whip your order together. And here, they don't call you by number. They actually use your name. Ahhhh the personal touch! They also have cold drinks for sale, including bottled water, sodas, and many energy drinks. But be prepared to take-out because it's not a sit down place. Just so you know. But trust me, your car makes an excellent dining room. Speaking from TONS of experience, here. Just don't eat and drive. Love this place. So I am now. Officially. A Regular.

Great little take out only hole in the wall. I stop here periodically, always consistently tasty burritos, and fast service. Very fair prices. Not the friendliest service, but not bad service by any means. Perfect quick stop place with flavor!

After a delicious breakfast burrito the day before and an okay one the day before that, I decided to continue my three-day streak of breakfast burritos last weekend and try a breakfast burrito from The Burrito Company. This place is somewhat hard to get to on the busy Santa Fe Drive, but is well worth weaving your way through traffic to get to. It's a no-frills, to-go only kind of place. However, the kitchen quickly churns out amazing breakfast burritos over and over again. You'll find people ordering bags of burritos either to share with their friends, or more likely, to devour all themselves. I decided to order a chicken breakfast burrito with cheese and mild (I know, I'm a wuss). We were on our way out of town, so I decided we could eat in the car. WARNING: I don't recommend trying to do that. These burritos can get very messy as the sauce and cheese start to ooze out of the burrito with every bite. My mild burrito had just enough kick for me and I was not aching for water at the end. The flavors were great and the shredded chicken was perfectly cooked. The menu is pretty limited, but everything seems to be done well. You have your choice of four meats for breakfast. You can get it smothered, with or without cheese, and with or without green chile (as if that's a real choice...). I'll definitely be back soon, as I start going into breakfast burrito withdrawals...

¡El mejor burrito y chile verde en Denver! ¡Es como una fiesta en mi boca (y mis pantalones, jajaja) cada vez yo como en este restaurante! El chili verde caliente es delicioso. Es un poco caro, pero vale la pena.

No other breakfast burritos compare to The Burrito Company. They are handheld, not too big, but still loaded with plenty of killer pork green chili (I get half mild half hot), potatoes, cheese, your choice of breakfast meat (which I skip) and a fried egg instead of the dried scrambled eggs one usually finds in a breakfast burrito. I crave these perfect breakfast burritos and have to limit myself from not stopping by every morning. They are very inexpensive, but are cash only. Best in Denver, by far.

I don't live in Denver anymore, and when I come home to visit, this is the only place I really demand to go. Their burritos are amazing (esp. breakfast). I've been vouching strongly for the place for years, and anytime someone tells me "x place in Denver has the best burrito", I immediately ask if they've been here, and the answer is usually (not to mention, sadly), "no". Almost everyone I've convinced to come here has been an immediate convert. Just show up, bring cash, buy a breakfast burrito or two, and feel the elation as you eat it in your car.

Oh my. Best breakfast burrito I've ever had. The egg inside is fried, so the flavour changes as you're eating, depending on what section of the egg you get. You can also add in various meats for less than $.50 more. I've never had a breakfast burrito with chicken before but I'm never accepting anything less now. I'm hooked.

Tip: This place is cash only so be prepared. Also the parking lot holds about five cars so you may have to walk a bit. And it's basically 100% takeout, there are no tables or chairs to sit and dine. Now the good stuff: For $2.50 you get a 10" breakfast burrito to go that has green chili, potatoes, sausage and cheese. And it actually tastes good! It gets pretty crowded around the shift change times, but they have their system down to a science. After ordering you'll have your good eats within a couple minutes. Don't judge a restaurant by it's neighborhood - this place is worth trying!

There are few places in town that you can get consistent fast service. The Burrito Company is one. The service is fast and friendly but the thing that clenches it is the food. The variety is decent for a small restaurant always made fresh to order. Try their spicy pork burritos, they rock! Just the right amount of spice. They keep it simple and it works!

This place went way downhill. They used to have amazing breakfast burritos. In the last year the green chile recipe changed. These days it lacks flavor, but boats of lard. A multitude of trips before the change and a half dozen trips after the change is a reliable indicator. A half dozen second chances were all failed attempts in search of its former glory.

The price probably cannot be beat. We ended up here accidentally, way better than going to McDonalds for breakfast down the road...but left a little disappointed. Service was fast, food was hot, but favors were on the bland side. I guess that's what I get for getting the mild green chile but it should still taste. If ever back in the area I'll try the not so mild, but for now just 3.

Best breakfast burrito hands down. I just wish there was a place to sit in here. It angers me that I need to wait to eat this thing.

WAY better than Santiago's in my opinion!! The hand-held burritos are less than $3 and they put a nice amount of meat in them, unlike the one or two crumbles you get at Santiago's. The mild chile is completely de-void of even a hint of spice, so get the hot. It's more like medium, I think. The burritos are nice and moist with plenty of cheese as well. I like that they make them fresh to order rather than hold them in a counter-top warmer like they do at Santiago's. I just went there yesterday and saw a sign that said "Now open on Saturday" so that is a great change! Check them out if you want a cheap, tasty, fresh burrito.

I was very happy with The Burrito Company, but I have only visited once, and thus have only had one item. I chose a Deluxe Breakfast Burrito with sausage, and I have to say, it was DELICIOUS. I was allowed to order 1/2 and 1/2 on my green chili, which was a great temperature and very flavorful. I look forward to visiting again.

This is a lunch review. A dang fine burrito for minimal dollars. Smothered burrito, added pork, held the onions, hot (not mild). Zero ambiance, but that's not the point - it's the food and the price, and the lightning fast service. It was definitely under thirty seconds between when I finished my order and was picking it up.

  • Teresa W.

Alright, I obviously didn't read the reviews before coming here. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with sour cream. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either and kind of small. I'm used to the scary hole in the wall places that have the best Mexican food ever in AZ. My husband ordered some sort of meat burrito that was supposed to be steak, he couldn't finish it and he can eat anything. My son had the beef and chile mild burrito, which I ate half of since my burrito was so tiny. Yuck, I'm trying to hold back the vomit. Kudos for cheap price, and fast service though. Maybe I'll have to try the breakfast burrito, but probably not.

I dreamed of a place that had breakfast burritos and the chile flowed like wine...and I finally found The Burrito Company. Lucky for me, this little gem is down the street from where I work! Parking lot is small, but people move in and out pretty quickly. You're not allowed to eat your burrito in the lot, so geta move on!!!!! Cash only, else you can use an ATM in there, so be prepared before you order. Sometimes there is a big line, but it goes down pretty quick. Really, these breakfast burritos make my morning's... I get mine with sausage.

Saw some great reviews for this place and not sure if we ordered the wrong thing - but we got the breakfast burritos and the cheese was not melted and they were just ok. Good spice though if you order it hot.

Why 5 stars? There is no dining here, it's all take out . Open 6am- 2pm. Cash only. No restrooms. They are that good and cheap! Burritos for $2.50. I didn't even like breakfast burritos until I tried the ones here. The green chili inside is really tasty (beans, pork, and green chili...my favorite!). A huge tamale for $1.50! Great values. They started adding new items....not too impressed with them, stick to the burritos. Friendly people for this fast paced place. So, 5 stars, not a 5 star restaurant, but 5 stars. Best burrito in Denver! They have 2 other locations, but I like this one the most. Good clean place.

Good burritos, worth the stop just remember to bring cash because the atm machine charges high fees.

Not exactly what I was looking for in a breakfast burrito, but it's worth a second go, for sure. The service was fast, the burrito cheap. I was a little thrown off my game, though, when I unwrapped the foil- the burrito was loosely wrapped, making it difficult to eat and drive, but I managed. The first bite offered something totally unexpected- the egg was fried (witha runny yolk), not scrambled, as per every other breakfast burrito I've ever had. It was... interesting. Not bad, just interesting. I also noticed that, instead of chorizo, when the menu said 'sausage', they literally meant sausage. I thought they were just making the menu gringo-friendly, but noooooo. In short, if I find myself in the neighborhood and wanting a breakfast burrito again, I'll stop off and give them another shot. But I wouldn't go out of my way at this point.

BEST Mexican green chile breakfast burrito. The green chile is hot and perfect! The price is oh-so-right and the portion for this gal hits just the right spot. They are not open on Sundays, however. Which makes this place my go-to place on Saturday morning, just like this morning!

so this divy little joint can make some food let me tell you there green chili is always perfict although they just cant get it spicy enough for me i could not throw a 5th star to them. But when im in the area i am not going to pass this place up and now that the hot chick that dont speak very good english and me hablo muy poquito espanol it works out easier now! Now i'm not sure how fresh the food is as the flavor is hidden by the green chili

when you wake up hungover of a strongbow kinda evening you need something to take off the edge, nothing quite fits the bill like the burrito company. The first time I tried Burrito company my boss drove me there to cure my obvious hangover from the night before and I was SOOO happy! Smothered BFAST burrito was just what the doctor ordered! and now I am addicted! Its cheap, FAST! NO credit cards, and they close at 2pm... Open at 6 am! They serve TACOS too... ehhhhemmm Awesome I love u burrito company!

It was my co-worker's turn to get the office breakfast burritos today. Holy Frijoles, this was awesome! I had the sausage/egg/cheese/chile breakfast burrito and it was spicy, but not too spicy like Santiago's hot. And it was bigger than Santiago's and tastier than Viva Burrito's breakfast burritos (and I love Viva Burrito) and of course cheaper than Little Anita's breakfast burritos. I am a HUGE breakfast burrito lover, but prefer to spend $2-4 as opposed to $8-10 range. So this place is perfect for me. I didn't even know this place existed. I will have to go there when it's my turn.....or when I feel motivated enough to drive there with a hang over. Hooray! So happy I found a new place!

Went there this morning, not feeling the best... Had the breakfast burrito with pork, HOT! It was deeeee-lish! I agree, the taters are cooked perfectly, and for me, the hot was the just right amount of spice. Great deal at $2.50!

Thanks Yelpers.... another victim falls to the clutches of the Burrito Company. I stopped by on my way to work this morning... and holy guacamole. I wasn't sure about getting one or two (I like a big breakfast), so I ended up getting 2.... I'm still stuffed, and it's lunch time! I got the pork breakfast burrito hot with queso. Great flavor, nice spiciness, fresh tasting ingredients, and an excellent size for only 2.50.... Their menu looked intriguing to me so I can't wait to go back for more... The only downside to this place is the location, it's a pretty much perfect for me on my way to work, but might be kind of an annoyance other wise. A small price to pay for deliciousness! Between here and Santiagos.... I'm in Mexican heaven! The only reason it's a 4 star review is because I only tried their breakfast.... it will most likely be bumped to a 5 once I try their lunch/dinner menu.

This little hole in the wall offers the best breakfast burritos in the metro area. Always made fresh to order, these little wonders rock! On any given day you can find a line of people waiting to get theirs. I really never stop in for lunch but I'm sure they make a decent lunch too. I will warn you, the tortillas are the weak link of these burritos and they will rupture at the worst time, like while you are driving! Be careful and enjoy.

Great Breakfast Burritos try the green chili if you like it smothered. I also enjoy the ground beef hard shell tacos. This is an order at counter with no seating leaving you to eat in your car or take it to-go. The service is fast and somewhat friendly. They are closed on Sundays and also close at 2pm daily &1pm on Saturdays.

Anyone who says Santiago's is the best BB in Denver has never been here. "Do one thing and do it better than anybody" was rumored to be the mantra of Colonel Sanders. These guys do just that. Hands down the best breakfast burrito in town. I come here frequently and it is consistently awesome. For only $2.75 you get breakfast burrito heaven - delicious green chile, sausage or chorizo (I think bacon too, but I get the sausage), perfect potatoes, and a soft fried egg (yolk broken). The fried egg is brilliant, why isn't every breakfast burrito made this way? Even cheese if you want. The burrito is plenty big to fill me up- in fact if they were any bigger you couldn't eat them just by holding them. They are expertly wrapped to allow eating in the car. Which is nice, because they don't have any seating inside and the parking lot is so tiny they ask you to not eat in the parking lot. I barely make it to the light on Santa Fe before I've already torn into the deliciousness. They line can look long in the early mornings, but they are super efficient. It is definitely worth the short wait. I have tried their tacos at lunch time, and they're just OK. But then I slapped myself for not getting the breakfast burrito instead. I mean I could really eat breakfast burritos any time of day or night. WARNING - BRING CASH!!! There is an ATM there, but it is just a little terminal next to the cash register and it is awkward to use while everyone is waiting in line behind you. Also it charges you $2 like a regular ATM. If you forget, just go up and use it as soon as you get there, then ge in line. And don't be a jerk and eat in the parking lot.

You have ruined my life Burrito Company. Every other breakfast burrito I have I compare it to you, but lets face it nothing compares to you. Your warm tortillas are blanked with a sunny side egg that gives you even bites through out. You always have the right amount of melty gooeey cheese.Your potatoes are always cooked just right so they are not too hard or too mushy. Your chorizo is always the right delicious amount. And then you meld all of these ingredients with your spicy green chili creating the best breakfast burrito I have ever had in my life. Plus I get to have you for only $2.75. *The only warning I have if your ready for this breakfast experience is to make sure you bring cash or check.

Just ate here and it was pretty good. Meant to get one of the breakfast burritos, but forgot when I saw the bean/green chile/meat burritos. Wound up getting two burritos and for me that was the right amount (I can take down quite a bit of food). They are good size, and are about 2/3 the size of something from Tacos Rapidos. They offer smothered burritos, but I opted for them to put the green chile inside of the burrito. Got one steak and one pork. The steak was just OK. Flavor was OK. It was the beans and chile that were pulling the flavor weight though. Then I had the pork. That was the right choice. Flavor and texture was spot on. I must admit that I did not find their hot green chile all that hot. Might be different on a fully smothered burrito where there is more, but hot would be my only choice. At the end of it all the contents were working together to make a good burrito. It was about $5.40 for two burritos and that seemed very reasonable. There is better out there, but not necessarily for the same price and speed of service. It is worth noting that there are no tables here and they have super speedy service.

the food is good, the service is good even though they act like they have all had lobotomies and over ampt on thorazine. i guess the guy that owns the place now is like hitler's daughter always scowling and never smiles. i have been frequenting this place for 10 years and most of the people that worked then are still there. you would think you would get a hello or a smile for repeat business. when the other guy owned it the employees where a lot happier and even let you use the head. lighten up and enjoy let your people smile again.

I can't believe that anyone would give this place less than 4 stars. If not, we have a crime scene. I love it. On occasion, I drive up to Boulder for work, and I always stop for a breakfast burrito. First, I'm in love with that beautiful woman who makes my burrito. But, I assume she is married, so I have no chance there. Second, they make a burrito that you can eat in your car as you drive (if you are a very careful driver). And, unlike Santiago's, who I love, it won't spill out into your lap. Just great flavor, great green chile, great tortilla, great eggs, etc............. Stop and try it, you won't be disappointed. And, it's totally blue collar. Closed on weekends. Only open from 6 am until 2pm, Monday thru Friday. I love this place, and the woman who makes my burrito!

I've been looking for a breakfast burrito place near my home in Golden that can even come close to the quality of the Burrito Company, but alas, I can't. These guys are the best. I guess if I want a good breakfast burrito, I will have to drive all the way here to get one - or maybe a dozen. I can tell you now, even if I got a dozen, they wouldn't last long!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
