Alright, i've been to maybe a hundred Taco Bells in my lifetime but this has got to be the best of them all. Despite being located off Colfax in an area in which the foot traffic sometimes inclines you to roll up your windows and repeatedly lock your doors, this Taco Bell's unexpected staff impresses me even more. Lets be honest, nobody is rating taco bell for it's food because we've ALL eaten here and we all know that it is what it is. This 5 star rating is based solely upon how quickly and correctly your order arrives, but more-so on how chipper the staff is. Literally every time I've been there, the person working the drive-through has been nicer, happier, and more pleasant to deal with than any 5 star restaurant I've been to. I don't know what keeps these people going, but I like it and wish they accepted tips.

If you're drunk and it's dark outside, they probably won't have any caramel apple empanadas.

Total downer. Made my guts super angry. Lots of crackheads eat there so someone likes it. Maybe I should try it on drugs.

Honestly, I feel like the staff tries so hard with what their manager gives them. They are always polite and courteous, despite an otherwise terrible job (or so I assume). The only problem is sometimes it takes painfully long to get through the line, but that could easily be attributed to a management/staffing problem.

Quite possibly the slowest Taco Bell of all time. One quesadilla and a taco will take them over 30 min to prepare. Lost and bewildered employees will scratch their heads in confusion as to where half your order went. Good thing the place is clean inside, though I can't imagine coming back here after experiencing such atrocious wait times.

For the most part, this is a good Taco Bell. Good portions, they don't usually leave anything out, and they keep the order in check. On occasion the line can get REAL ridiculous, though. It is Taco Bell on Colfax, so let's be real. The drive-thru attendants are pretty nice, though, and honestly, that makes up for any shortcomings. Well...most shortcomings. My biggest complaint that I know they can't control is that the menu board changes WAY too often. I literally never know if my "regular" orders will be on it. Again, they can't control that, but what the hell Taco bell???

Forgot lunch today. Remembered I'd forgotten lunch as I was approaching the TB near my office. So I stopped in and ordered my standard "I forgot lunch" menu: a 7 layer burrito with lots of hot sauce. Saw that at 2 p.m. they had dollar specials on their new drinks which included what they called a "Sangria Blast." Got back to the office and found out they didn't put any sauce in the bag they gave me. Ever try to eat a TB burrito without some sauce to give it at least a little flavor? Don't put that on your bucket list. Trust me on that one. Now the Blast, however, that was something a little different. I couldn't identify all the flavors in it so I went into TB's website and quickly found the ingredients list which I've copied below. So here's what I found out I'd consumed in my $1 drink (along with my dry/tasteless 7 layer burrito): "Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, natural and artificial flavor, yucca mohave extract, sodium citrate, gum arabic, caffeine, red 40 (C), sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (P), calcium disodium edta (PF), glycerol ester of rosin, sucrose acetate isobutyrate, blue 1 (C)." Yum yum. My favorite ingredients! So why, you might ask, given that yicky experience am I raising their rating up to 2 stars instead of 1 . . . Well, that person at the drive-up window maybe couldn't remember or give me what I'd asked for, but she sure was darn nice about it. So TB, the fact that you hired an exceedingly nice person gets you moved up from a 1 to a 2 star review. Congratulations! Non mucho gusto, David "Ay Chihuahua" M.

Been here several times the past few days due to long hours at work only to wait FOREVER for my food. I get that Colfax gets some busy/crazy traffic but holy smokes this was insane. Both drive thru and done in. However, I do have to say, every order has been correct.

Got card info stolen and used at the same Taco Bell. Made the case easy to figure out. I hope they enjoyed their meal. From the cost, it must of been a decent feast with extra cheese.

Well, the Taco Bell itself is okay food wise, just watch your back in regards to the surroundings. I watched a crackhead chase a plastic bag blowing around in the wind, like a dog chasing his tail, for a few minutes, then finally went inside. Some shady dude came up and asked for a bite of my Mexican Pizza, and it looked like he had been sitting in there for hours. A new life experience was actually having to stand in line a second time to request to get access to the mens room - yeah, they actually activate a door buzzer from behind the counter, and buzz you in! If you like stepping in trash as a result of the can not being emptied in weeks, this is your place. Customer clientele problem, perhaps? Gotta admit though, it was free entertainment, and a rather memorable experience for my first visit to this area of downtown!

Mobile app works! Just needs a little tuning with the employees to understand. My order was almost giving to someone else and my name was never called. I like my burros grilled the app does not have the option.

This is my happy place. I don't know why in the world people are complaining about the area being sketchy (did you not realize you were on Colfax? Did that fact completely allude you when you made the turn onto what is known to be the most neglected street in Colorado?) or why people are complaining about the wait. The food at this Taco Bell is actually good. If you were to wait less time (by the way, there is no way you were waiting more than ten minutes) then you would probably be offering the same star rating but complaining about the quality of the food. I can't eat Taco Bell every day, or even every month. Only because I enjoy wearing the clothing I have and not having to invest my limited funds in larger sizes. If I could I would eat Taco Bell every day. I would eat it and I would be so happy. For now, it will have to remain at being eaten only on my birthday and special occasions, but I promise you after I have a few kids and completely give up I will be sitting in this Taco Bell at every lunch hour for the rest of my life.

It's taco bell. You know what you're getting. They are constantly in the weeds. If they paid a decent wage they'd probably be able to have enough employees. That being said every employee I've interacted with had been super nice.

Another night, another time Taco Bell isn't serving anyone in the Drive Thru after 2am, before 4. I did see an employee with a mop and bucket quickly scoot over to the restrooms though, passing the main side entrance; a total deer in headlights moment for her, as I stared her down.

I'm going to pretend like I just won a contest to be the Taco Bell Director of... Things for a day. Now, I may not be a marketing whiz or a business guru, but I know my way around a Taco Bell (well, I know my way around a taco). Preface: Taco Bell GETS me. Their menu (except for the catastrophe that is the cantina menu- that would be the first thing to go) speaks to me, and their "fourth meal" branding resonates so deeply with me that I would keep eating Taco Bell through indefinite bouts of food poisoning (I've never gotten food poisoning from Taco Bell, btdubs). However, having just experienced Taco Bell "breakfast" for the first time, here are the changes I would make in my 24 hours as Head Burrito at Taco Bell: -Open at 4 AM. Taco Bell is known for being super late-night. Why not also be known for being the super early option? Currently, their breakfast hours are 9 AM to 11 AM. Seriously. Seriously? If you don't eat breakfast until 9 AM, there is something wrong with you. Being so familiar with fourth meal, I think Taco Bell doesn't quite grasp what a first meal is. If I hit Taco Bell at 2 AM for 4th meal, I'm not ready for first meal until well after 11, so Taco Bell misses the mark for both early risers who actually have jobs AND sleep-till-nooners. Rise and shine, Taco Bell. You barely rising right now and you ain't shining. -A few slight tweaks could rock the breakfast menu. It's really boring. I expected more from Taco Bell (been fantasizing about Taco Bell breakfast since before puberty). Why not have a supreme option for breakfast? For a few coins more, throw some tomatoes (which you already have) on that vegetarian-nightmare of a breakfast burrito. I love the vegetable-barren burrito as much as the next bubba, but sometimes I want some spice in there. Also- have ya'll ever had sour cream on a breakfast burrito? It is divine. So just go full supreme and throw some tomatoes and sour cream on that thing. Ya'll probably also have some green onions or something else back there. Wouldn't take that much extra inventory to enhance what your mama gave you. Plus, it gives customers the options. -Speaking of options- I'd have more options. I like the Crunchwrap concept for breakfast (no brainer), and burritos are obvious. But I need to see breakfast tacos, quesadillas, and chalupas. Why not? I wanna see breakfast nachos. You guys are claiming to not be boring, but have you SEEN your breakfast menu? As COO today, I'm taking what you already have and twisting it up. I heard some locations have a waffle taco. Cool, but not cool enough. Also, you are TACO BELL. You absolutely must have the best breakfast burrito, and right now, Burger King is kicking your ass with the Southwestern. I might toss the school cafeteria hashbrown for some seasoned potatoes. -Not sure locations could support it, but serving breakfast all day would put Taco Bell again ahead of other fast food restaurants. Taco Bell seems to jive with young, energetic, offbeat fast food regulars by staying open late. Be different by not punishing customers who like their eggs at 3 PM. Also, for those of you who have been savoring fourth meal since before Taco Bell "invented" it, you know that the ultimate fourth meal involves eggs. -Ya know your taco meat? That shit would taste good on a breakfast burrito. See also: beans. -Remember nacho cheese? You have it. Yet it's not involved in the breakfast menu. Fail. With the rest of my 24 hours, I would just walk around hugging Taco Bell employees. I'm a fast food connoisseur (just ask my blood pressure), and TB, hands down, has the best employees of any FF joint. Oh... And with any extra energy I would also revamp their dessert menu. You have waffles now. I see big possibilities. Churros? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

  • Melissa T.

When I stopped eating meat, I thought I would eat a less fast food. But really, I just eat more Taco Bell. I know, it's a Taco Bell. I'm sure you know what you're getting. But this Taco Bell is friggin' awesome! The people who work there are so nice. I end up running through the drive through every few weeks, usually when I'm out doing Saturday errands, and I'm always impressed by this location.

  • Gaby Z.

Worst customer service ever. I went through the drive thru around 9:10am and they said they would be ready in around 15 minutes. I can understand that. So I go down to 7-11 to kill time and I came back around 9:30am gave them more than enough time. I tried to go in, and the door was locked. Two workers came out (I think one was a manager cause she was wearing a purple shirt) and they both said the same thing they told me earlier, then they later realized that I was at the drive thru not to long ago and they started laughing in my face and walked away and go into a car. Honestly, this got me so mad. They didn't have the same respect as I did for them. I will never be going there ever again.

i have had an almost life-long love affair with the Taco Bell. This is one of the best bell's i have been to in colorado. the manager Gloria runs the place well. i customize my order every time, and i know this can be annoying-but the staff always has patience with me and some even remember my "custom-made" order. i can't comment on the drive-thru wait time as i am only a walk in, but my order never takes very long.

I walked into this taco bell after a long days work , the air outside was delightfully mild in temperature and was perfect weather for some delicious Mexican food. As I approached the front door my stomach was rumbling and I was comforted by the warm neon glow of the "open" sign. I walked in and instantly the delicious aroma of beans and cheese made me even more hungrier than before. I was greeted by Jose a cheerful man with some sort of accent , he asked what I would like to eat. I asked what he would recommend and he humbly stated we are known for our tacos. I ordered three , five seconds later my meal was ready. He asked if I would like to try some of their hot sauce , why not I said. The sauce was in some sort of cleverly designed packet. I filled my cup with mountain dew from sort of machine that seemed to have an infinite supply of this greenish-yellow super beverage. I took a seat in the brightly colored booth in the dining area and unwrapped my first taco. WOW!!! my senses were immediately overloaded , I have never tasted such a beautiful marriage of ingredients. The perfectly fried shell complemented the fillings that consisted of a magical blend of some sort of aged ground beef , shredded cheese , and lettuce that I could swear was freshly picked from the garden outside. I am usually a fast eater but I wanted to enjoy this meal , I savored every bite and was in some sort of food trance until Jose tapped on my shoulder and said in his exotic accent "excuse me sir" we will be closing for the night. I hurried and finished my last taco. Thank you taco bell for the enlightening experience , I would definitely recommend putting this restaurant on your bucket list.

Terrible. Went on Saturday night at 8pm. Probably about 12 cars in line in the drive-thru, so opted to go inside and get to go. Door says the lobby is open till 9, but was securely locked. The two employees walking around inside drinking their sodas offered no help either. Took my dollars across the street to Bourbon Chicken, where they appreciate the business.

Interesting decor. A huge step up here at #3154 as compared with our "regular" Taco Bell (#2701). The outside is attractive and the interior "artwork" and lighting made it an enjoyable experience. Don't worry. The food is the same fantastic, authentic Mexican cuisine that you get at every Taco Bell.

This is the place to go for your Fourth Meal. Sometimes I don't even remember that I enjoyed a Fourth Meal until I wake up in the morning and find 7 Layer Burrito Wrappers strewn about my studio. Oh and they just launched Flour Taquitos. Just lovely.

I can't hate too much on my neighborhood Taco Bell. This place feeds me when I'm totally KRUNKED, as well as when I'm sober and feel like eating some 7 layers of deliciousness. But recently, WTF, there are some seriously wack-ass employees runnin' the drive-thru. Last time the drive-thru professional started talking to me about Coldplay...yeah, the shiteous band Coldplay...just gimme my mess-ican pizza and nachos and let me go home! Ah, and occasionally they close for NO apparent reason for an hour or two at night....say 10 pm through 11:30...are they gettin' high? What gives?

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
