If you feel like you've stepped into someone's living room, don't be alarmed. Table Top is this place's name and coziness is their game. It's a dark wood paneled space all in one room with happy chatter and happy eaters. The bar full of quality draft beers is adjacent to the open kitchen that faces the room full of diners. They layout seems to master the seamless union of upscale yet familiar, like a pub. The menu, though limited, had some great options, like grilled shishito peppers and fried brussel sprouts. The sauce served with the brussel sprouts was definitely the most memorable. Parsley and Asian flavors really stood out and essentially overshadowed the sprouts. I would go back just for that sauce. Overwhelmed with options, I went with probably the weakest one - spaghetti squash with red sauce. The red sauce was a little sparse, but was tasty. Lamb ragu, steak bavette, or pork tenderloin were the solid options that I plan on returning for. That and their monthly beer and wine paired dinners!

I have been taking my cats to the vet across the street from Table Top for three years and never even knew it was here! Table Top's interior is eclectic, fun, and refined. I took my grandparent's here when they were in town and we were pleasantly surprised. For an appetizer, my grandparents and I ordered the cauliflower popcorn and sweet potato waffle fries. The cauliflower popcorn was nothing to write home about, and the sweet potato fries were sweet and crunchy. Next, I had the tomato bisque, which was savory and a much larger serving than I was expecting. The lamb burger I had was juicy and tender and had a great spicy sauce. The best surprise of the night was the robust beer and wine menu. My grandma enjoyed a wine that she exclaimed was one of the best she's ever had, and I had a fantastic saison. It's definitely worth a trip to enjoy Table Top.

My wife and I love this place. We order either the Cauliflower popcorn, brussel sprouts or both when we dine here. Great entrees, the Pork Tenderloin is fantastic. Great drinks and excellent selection of craft beer. We have always very good service. They have a great patio!

Omg. Are you kidding me??? Quick bite home on way from work. Good...10 bucks off bottle of wine... Bad, you have wait twenty minutes to order wine AND finish the whole bottle of wine before you get your third small plate course (1 and 1/2 hours) Food: humus was like a salt lick and enough for a party of twenty, eggplant caprese was so acidic was difficult to eat, third small plate scallops, raw and not cooked thru sent them back. And pork loin too rare and cold. Good luck stay away at all costs, anything better!!!

Well I had no idea this place even existed, so glad I found out about it, yum! The party of us four were seeking a dinner kind of late on a saturday night and found ourselves aimlessly driving and calling place after place to find each one with no availability. Finally we happened here, walked into no wait, and a very accommodating, warm staff. Honestly, everything looked delicious. We started with the 'cauliflower popcorn' which were just straight up buttery and addictive. We also opted for the shishito peppers, they turned out to be just okay, small in portion and nothing really popped flavor wise. I was not terribly hungry so I went with the delicious tomato bisque with goat cheese crostinis. Man, if you like tomato bisque, you will fall all over this bad ass version, great portion as well. From the specialty cocktail menu I opted for 'STAR FLOWER' Vodka, St. Germain, Lemon, bubbles and it was so appropriate that I ordered another. Service here was great and I would come back again and again. Great neighborhood spot for an area kind of lacking something like this, here is hoping more business owners catch on!

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing beer list. I can't say how thankful we are to have such a great restsurant in the neighborhood. The Australian beef is so tender and juicy, cooked perfectly. The selection of appetizers was interesting from the fried pickles to the cauliflower popcorn to the ribs and cheese board, all are so tasty and obviously had a lot of thought put into the selections. The topper to it all is their house made baked goods. We bought a pie and a cheesecake to take to thanksgiving and they were a hit. Table Top is such a great addition to the neighborhood with local owners and great experiences we will be back often.

I was rather disappointed with our experience here. First, they have a reservation contract. Yes, a "legally binding" contract for your table at a mid-range restaurant. Perplexing. They have decent beer selection, the key is getting your waiter to bring it to you in a timely manner. Our server was a wonderful person, but between every visit to our table was a 10-15 minute hiatus. We sat down at 6:30, and didn't get our food until 8:30. At the prices on the menu, their food needs to be stellar, but it was lackluster. I ordered the Chef's burger, which, at the chef's recommendation, should've come out medium rare, but it was definitely medium well. The beau's pork tenderloin was overcooked, and was served over beans that were undercooked. After alerting the management, they were very apologetic and accommodating. For that reason, I will return, hoping that they have worked out their opening jitters.

Not bad by any stretch, but didn't live up to the hype-- which is a tough one, right? Like, it's not like they necessarily (or independently) put the hype out there, but my expectations were a bit higher, particularly regarding the service. Our server had no personality, or didn't care much for the nature of her job, or both. Another one of those weird interactions: it ain't like she was rude, but couldn't be more disinterested, AND had a 'trainee' shadowing her. It was an odd dynamic to have the earnestness of this guy so obviously pumped to be working that it almost blinded me, then the utter lacklusterness of the young lady. I like what's happening in that part of Park Hill, and the interior is nice at first glance, but a careful study left me feeling like it was a little too fabricated, you know? Like, there's a difference when someone tiles their bathroom with individual pieces, and the grout is all rad, and subtly non-uniform, with tiles almost perfectly UN-aligned, so you can tell it was done by hand with some care. It wasn't that way uniformly here, particularly with little things like the open server station in the corner. I never want to see behind the curtain, even if it is just glasses and dishes. A sliding cupboard or hanging curtain is preferable. A visit to the men's room reminds one of what the joint used to be, not a welcoming restaurant to enjoy cuisine and craft beer. From an experiential standpoint, the aforementioned lackluster kind of sums it up. The food and cocktails, while good, didn't overcompensate for what I hoped would be a better dining experience. I know I'll eventually swing back through in hopes of another decent meal, but better service, at least. Final thought: there's something weird about paying $16 for spaghetti squash with dozens and dozens of squashes laying around as decorations.

The only reason I'm changing my review from 5 to 4 stars is the value. The food is really good. The Old Fashioned by the bartender Ryan (I think) is amazing. But I do feel like the menu is still a bit limited. I also think the burger is great, but not $15-great.

We had a quick dinner here while waiting for my daughter to fly into Denver. They had our table ready at exactly the time of our reservation. That was great since we did not have a lot of time to waste. We started with the cauliflower popcorn and sweet potato fries as appetizers and they were delicious. I ordered the shredded pork sliders and they were great. My wife started with the tomato bisque soup and then had the scallop risotto .My granddaughter had the chef's burger. Everyone was very satisfied. Sam M. did a perfect job as our server and made this a 4* rather than a 3* Yelp rating.

Nice dinner spot with a nice menu. Service was good, place isn't too overcrowded that you can't move around, and the atmosphere is great. You don't have to drive downtown, which is a big bonus! Small parking lot available, plus plenty of parking along Oneida St. Appetizers: Brussel Sprouts - sprouts were delicious, typical flash fried as you find all over town nowadays, but the clincher was the sauce. Cilantro and garlic deliciousness. I could've drank the whole sauce bowl. Crispy Spare Ribs - cooked well, sauce was good. Nothing spectacular, but good. Entree: Australian Waygu Bavette - (server described a Bavette as between a Ribeye and a Sirloin) - Sister-in-Law got the same dish done Medium, while I asked for Medium Rare. Mine was overlooked for my liking, hers was actually undercooked for hers. They were essentially cooked to the same amount of done-ness. Meat tasted good. I was also a fan of the fingerling potatoes, mini onions and greens. Dessert: Coconut something-or-other sorbet was good. Banana Split dessert (sorry, can't remember names of the dishes!) was a little... no, a lot.. much. It's like they tried too hard with this one. We liked the simpler desserts better. On our 2nd visit a few weeks later, we had: Pork Belly Sliders: No. Just no. Pork belly was not cooked well enough -- too fatty to be undercooked that it's gummy. Pickled cabbage that they are calling "Kimchi" -- first of all, not at ALL Kimchi... but truly pickled cabbage. Flavored were not complimentary. Do not recommend. Apple & Oats Dessert: Again with the "trying too hard". If you were expecting oats because it's in the dishes name, it's just not there. You get maybe a light dusting of oats? Sliced apples with Apple sorbet left much to be desired. Taste was fresh, but it was like eating air -- pretty unsatisfying. I hear the burger is good, though. I'd give this place 3.5 stars after trying it twice. It gets points for not being downtown or in the Highlands, but the food needs some work and that doesn't mean "do something really cool with it" -- just focus on improving taste and techniques!

This place is so new that when Nick and I showed up for dinner last night there wasn't even a Yelp listing. Our server told us they had been open two weeks to the day that night, but you really wouldn't have guessed that from the crowd. But, I think that Park Hill has a lot of desire for nicer restaurants with amazing beer lists and craft cocktails. Especially when said restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and a great patio. Nick and I started with an order of fried pickle slices and cauliflower popcorn. The pickle slices were awesome. The batter was light and crispy, which made a huge difference. And the cauliflower was nice too, roasted with curried almonds. We then moved onto a shared cheese plate - they have five rotating selections daily and you get two for $9, any additional after that are $5 each. The plate comes with the cheeses, crackers, nuts, a bit of fruit, and some jam and honey. For my main course I ordered the steak, which was a hangar steak topped with some really nice chimichurri and came with a twice baked potato (so delicious!) and some greens sautéed in garlic and other seasonings. We rounded out our meal with coffee (that came in a French press) and a buttermilk pie that was absolutely delicious and served with whipped sour cream and balsamic cherries. They have a small, but decent menu, a lot of beers (especially on top), great service, and a nice atmosphere. It's definitely a welcome addition to the little neighborhood!

We tried Table Top for the first time recently, as we'd love to find a restaurant in our neighborhood that has good food and drink, a comfortable and reasonably attractive setting, and whose prices are a good value for what we want. The latter is hard to define, but it all boils down to the fact that our total dining experience wasn't worth to us what we paid for it. The food and drinks were really pretty good ;the praise for the brussel sprouts dipping sauce is well deserved, and I enjoyed the small plates lamb dish. I also have to say that the portions for the two small plates were a decent size, instead of the dainty little bites we've gotten other places. But what others have said about the limited choices is true, and that would be a hindrance in trying to come here regularly. My husband had the $15 burger, mainly because he couldn't find anything else he wanted to eat, and it was certainly large, but I couldn't get him to comment on it, other than "fine." The patio seems kind of oddly arranged to us. There's some seating of course, but then there's a really big space with nothing in it but landscape rocks. Is it supposed to be a play area? If so, it doesn't seem appropriate. Someone commented that kids were throwing them during a recent meal--not surprising. There's not much shade either, so they've got this decent sized outdoor dining space, which people like in Colorado, and are not maximizing it. The service was OK--rushed, rather than leisurely. We weren't told the specials, but we didn't ask about them, and the drinking water was warm, not welcome on a hot day. I know I'm picking on a modest neighborhood restaurant that seems to be trying, but we just wanted more.

Went back with a group and had a great time sharing the small plates. Brussels Sprouts were better the second time around. Serrano hummus was excellent as was lamb and pork tenderloin. Hamburger was great with a barbecue sauce that was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. We were disappointed with the low attendance on a Saturday night. Go check this place out, we would hate to lose a place like this in Park Hill.

This place is just down the street, and we have tried to visit on the regular. Great hamburger! The food is always top notch. The servers are friendly and attentive. Wonderful beer and wine selection. However, lately their menu has been very sparse, and often they are missing items from their already limited menu. Likewise, very disappointed that once their back patio opened for the season they seem to have a "children can do whatever they please" attitude. We suffered through our last meal surrounded by a large group of children in a rock throwing fight. Also, the children were so loud we could not hold a conversation. When asked, the waitress told the parents of the children they were fine to play out there. I would appreciate if Table Top would respect all their patrons equally instead of catering to those with rowdy children.

I have lived in the Historic Montclair neighborhood since 1995 and have loved the creative experience with the Colfax, Park Hill businesses and how this neighborhood is always changing and new places are opening up. With that said, I want to yelp about a new restaurant, Table Top that I visited tonight with my friend Steve for our joint birthday celebrations! This was both of our first time here and let me tell you how grand the evening was! Our waiter was delightful - making wine and small plate recommendations from the menu. We enjoyed the Golden Beet Salad, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts with cilantro garlic lemon ( TDF!!) and Butter nut squash soup of the day....along with a glass of Eden Valley Chardonnay. Joe, the owner came over and made sure we were enjoying our meal and yes, the ambiance, the classy, yet cozy atmosphere with the breeze from the outside patio - was Over the Top in dining experiences for a local, neighborhood restaurant!!! Then, still hungry, we decided to share the Australian WAGYU BAVETTE - with finger potatoes, grilled asparagus, miso butter and grilled onions - OMG!!! - this was my first time having this cut of meat, and now...this is my favorite cut of beef - never had this before. YOU MUST TRY THIS! Then, if that wasn't enough to make us both thrilled - they treated us to our birthday desserts - banana split like you have never had before and vanilla creme brulee! We both were so happy that we chose Table Top to celebrate our birthdays! Steve and I have been friends since the 80's and we will certainly tell our friends and come back over and over again! PROMISE YOU....this place will surprise you with all kinds of culinary delights! Thank you Table Top!!!

Fun, delicious, upscale restaurant. Highly recommend the scallops. They have a fantastic craft beer selection and will help you pair beers with your food choices. Although the atmosphere is upscale, the prices are not. Alcohol prices are competitive and there are fantastic food choices in the $16 range.

I live in the Park Hill area and heard about a new restaurant opening up and thought I'd try it out. It's located in a strip-mall type area but the location itself is very cute! The decor is modern and casual. Their service was great - always attentive and able to answer questions regarding wine and food. Prices aren't too terrible and the food was really good! We got the short ribs, popcorn cauliflower & a cheese plate. I was very impressed and will be coming back for entrees next!

I would like to start off by saying that I will be going back to this restaurant. It is within walking distance from my house, and my neighborhood has been needing a place like this for a while. The hostesses (I've been greeted by 2) are very friendly and are accurate with their wait times. Their holding area/patio is a lovely place to sip a drink and chat while you wait for your table. My server the first time I went was very nice and checked up on us regularly. Our food took a while, but most of it was worth the wait. The "crispy short ribs" just ended up being dry, but the flavors were awesome! The fried pickles are not your standard fried pickles, but they were great. The root vegetable salad was my favorite and I will probably order it every time I go. And the pork sliders had awesome flavor, but the buns are too big so you end up getting a mouthful of bread. Over all my boyfriend and I were happy with the food and the service but some fine tuning is needed with the menu. The second time I went was just a few nights later with a different friend. This time we sat at the bar...I won't be making that mistake again. We went during the dinner rush so we expected service to be slow, but we were flat out ignored. There were 3 people behind the bar that night; one of the owners, the lead bartender, and a bar back or trainee. The bar back (for some reason he was only allowed to pour beers) was the only one who was friendly and built rapport with us. The lead bartender was stressed and complaining to us and was not at all focused on the people at the bar. It took 15 min for my friend and I to get our drinks, then another 15 before we were offered a menu. My friend and I ordered the pickles, root vegetable salad (yum!), the charcuterie board, and the trout. The food was all great, but the experience was a little sad due to service from behind the bar. *I do want to stress that the layout of the bar makes it very difficult for the bartender to interact with guests. The well and pos are in a corner of the bar that causes the bartender to have is back to the clients 80% of the time. Also on the far end of the bar, servers place dirty glasses next to clean bottles of water that are offered at the tables. It's an eye sore and a little gross. Over all I like the restaurant and I will be back to see how this place evolves. As someone who has worked in the industry I'm a nitpick, but there is nothing that sends up red flags and will keep me away. Like any new restaurant, they have kinks to work out and I hope that the owners take the yelp reviews from myself and other patrons into consideration when it comes to improving their restaurant.

Cute restaurant in an unexpected location. We stopped in with our one year old and was happy to see other kids dinning there. Turns out kids eat free on Tuesday, which was a nice surprise. They have a good beer selection on tab and the service was great. Our little guy loved his mac and cheese and it was the first kids meal he's ever finished the whole thing. We got the beef stew and the lamb burger. The burger was cooked well and the mash potato that came with the beef stew was delicious. The beef stew itself was a bit under seasoned though

Visited for 1st time today. Food was well made and lots of good vegetables on the menu. Plenty of good beers and wine, ordered a Lindemann's raspberry lambic, large bottle, 4 glasses, only $16. Affordable plates, enjoyed tomato bisque and grilled salad. Nice little touches in the preparation, like fresh creamy cheese in the croutons in the bisque unexpected, but delicious. Warm, homemade bread, with just a tad of kosher salt crystals on top and herbed butter. Waitress was very sweet and we never had to ask for anything, she was prompt and attentive. We arrived around 5:00, but when we left around 6pm, people were starting to stream in. I want to try the spaghetti squash entree and the roasted root veggie salad next time, and a dessert. I didn't have time for dessert tonight and knew I has See's chocolates waiting for me at home! Next time though, they bake fresh cakes, which is awesome since so many desserts these days are prefab frozen. Excited we have another independent establishment with good food in the 'hood. I rarely travel out of my zip code if I can avoid it for dinner. Denver has gotten too crowded. I'm into low wait times, healthy food and decent selection. Will be back! Yum...

I really really really wanted to love this place. And it made me so sad when I really really didn't. Had been dying to try it out forever, hubs took me for my birthday last night. Overall, I was super disappointed. (In the meal, not the company.) Food - They have a great beer list, which was exciting... It's nice to see a restaurant with some good options for beer! But on to the food. We had the brussels sprouts, the cauliflower popcorn, the mussels, and the burger. The brussels were fine, a little under-seasoned but the accompanying sauce was really tasty so that helped. The cauliflower popcorn, on the other hand, was over-seasoned... the seasoning was overpowering and fairly unpleasant, and lingered for a while after we ate. The mussels were probably the saddest part of the meal. Aside from the broth being oddly bland (normally when we have mussels we're begging for more bread to sop up the broth... in this case we left one of the two pieces they gave us), there was a *ton* of sand in the mussels. I mean, the last time I ate this much sand I was taking a surf lesson... The burger was cooked really well, but oddly bland as well. The fries - hubs declared - were the best thing on the table. (Also, just as a heads up - the menu online doesn't seem to be current. There were several things online that I had eyeballed prior to going that weren't an option when we were there.) Service/Atmosphere - It's a super great space. Nice and roomy, dark wood but not in that oppressive stuffy way, fireplace, doors that opened to a patio (it was a bit cool for that last night)... I was a fan. Our server was... fine. Nothing terrible, but nothing spectacular. She seemed fairly bored... but did her job. Oh, and as a side note... Other reviewers mentioned being turned away on a Friday night because they didn't have a reservation... At about 7:00, I'd say the dining room was about 1/3 full... with just 2 bar stools being used. And a lot of servers just hanging out by the kitchen. Overall - I really really hope this place gets its kinks worked out and starts to live up to its potential. It could be such an awesome spot! For now, however, it's really not quite worth visiting for more than a drink or two.

If you have not been to the section of 23rd and Oneida recently, you may not recognize where you are. Where previously there had been a somewhat dilapidated dance studio, there is now a gem of a find in Table Top. Yes, this entire building has been renovated to become one of the most surprising finds I have found in some time. Walking in Table Top, one cannot be immediately impressed with the lay out: an open room. plenty of natural light, beautifully finished wood tables and floors, an open kitchen, integration with the outside, and oh, the beautifully simple taps lining the wall. Like soldiers saluting you as you enter, you know that the management spent some time thinking about the placement of the bar. Yes, aesthetically speaking, this place had appeal. While the open concept does not lend itself to quiet conversation (the room actually gets quite loud), there is very much a community vibe to the place. You want this to be your neighborhood restaurant and bar. The draft list was quite impressive. Not only were there some classic beers on tap (e.g. Duchesse de Bourgogne, Prost Pils), but there were some really nice surprises (e.g. Green Flash Imperial IPA, Station 26 IPA #1). Kudos to the place for having such a diverse and high quality tap list. The appetizers were flavorful, and the perfect salty combination to go with the high end beer. The cauliflower popcorn and beer battered fried pickles were pretty amazing (especially the dipping sauce for the pickles). For my entree, I chose the pasta of the day, which totally blew my socks off. It was essentially one large ravioli, topped with an egg, and then surrounded by vegetables and a light buttery sauce to die for. The flavors were unbelievably rich, and the combination of the soft pasta/egg with the crunchy vegetables was a nice contrast. Wrapping up dinner with the restaurant's version of a buttermilk pie was the perfect end to a nice evening and great dining experience. Their cheese selections were also quite impressive and in some cases, very local. The only question I had was what to do for kids food. While I did not have mine with me this particular evening, I did not see a kids menu (there may be one available, but it was not on the main menu). All in all, Table Top holds great promise for the Park Hill community. Not only can you get a great beer (happy hour prices were $1 off), but you can have a high quality meal that does not break the bank. I know I will definitely be returning here soon and often.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Table Top. Very nice neighborhood restaurant. A good thing is that they had a good tap list that covered several styles of beer. The decor of the restaurant was very nice and whoever was the designer deserves kudos. The menu was small but very interesting. We had the Cauliflower popcorn as an appetizer and it was very good. Highly recommend that dish. I had the burger which was vey good. My wife had a special, Eggplant Caprese which was also very good. Definitely check out Table Top.

So glad we have this place in our neighborhood. Everything I've had here is wonderful. Its a small kitchen but they do awesome things in there. One of my top restaurants in Denver. Very accommodating for groups of 8 or so.

So, let me start of by saying I want this place to be good, I want it to be amazing. We live super close and have been waiting for it to open. I understand there are lot of growing pains when opening a new place and I will change my rating accordingly when I try the place again. The burger was amazing...everything else was awful. We didn't even finish the food and unfortunately no one asked/cared that we didn't even touch it. Somehow these guys managed to mess up fried pickles...what a shame. We got ribs too, and they were super dry and tough. Was ripping the meat off the bone. The last rib we ate was probably the best, so maybe there is some inconsistency that will be worked out. There were so many staff people standing around and doing nothing that it made us feel uncomfortable. Also, there seems to be a lack in restaurant experience in management...just a few too many mistakes on the floor and during service that someone with management experience would never have allowed (Birkenstock sandals and hair down as appropriate serving attire). Again, I understand that this place is new but I hope that they pull it together.

Wow first impressions are awful and permanent. Walked in at 530 with no reservation, 4 open tables and hostess insisted we need reservations on a Friday night. You want our business? Ever? Nope. Even root down welcomes walk in...apparently this place expects people to know ahead of time that they are that fabulous that everyone needs reservations.

I was so excited to go after reading all the great reviews. But it was all hype. The menu is very small with not a lot of good choices. Prices were expensive and I'm used to paying the NYC prices. I will not be returning.

We're vegetarians, and their menu is very limited. Food was uninspired. Nice atmosphere, kid friendly. Very friendly servers.

Best of luck to you. If our experience is the norm, you'll be out of business in less than a year. 40% fail, keep that in mind - and you're doctors by training, so you do the math. We've lived in park hill for 8 years. It's an awesome neighborhood, but it needs more restaurants. We were so excited to try this place. We showed up at 5pm. Place was literally empty. Rude woman would not seat us without a reservation. I'm sorry, but you will not survive in this neighborhood with that attitude. You need to chill out and lighten up. 75% of your business could be locals, and you'll never be a destination, so get with the program.

Yes Park Hill is dying for places within the neighborhood to frequent. I was very excited for this place to open as I've watched the slow progress of it being built. I know they just opened. However, as a restaurant owner you must be prepared. There certainly seemed to be more than adequate staff there yet we waited a very long time for our drinks and for any refills. When our meal came (lamb burger) is was flavorless and semi warm. Personally, we make lamb burgers frequently and ours is way better. The fries are HUGE. I asked for ketchup and 15 minutes later it came out in a tiny little container that wouldn't have worked for but a couple of the fries. Hard to accept when all the wait staff is hovering and talking to each other by the kitchen area. Instead of waiting for the ordered food to come out from the kitchen why not service your tables while waiting? The food was somewhat cold anyway. Our table also ordered mussels. Ugh! It was mostly MORE of the huge potatoes under a few mussels. What's with all the potatoes? Why not bread for the broth instead of 1lb of mushy potatoes? I knew the owners and not once did they smile the entire night. Not only that but the female owner was standing by the door without regards to the patrons much less a "good bye" or a "thank you" to anyone. The space is amazing and they have done a great job of refurbishing the inside and the outside of the building. They also have the local brewery beers on tap (Station 26). Too bad they didn't spend as much time on customer service, recipes and menu options. Usually I give places a second chance but really none of the menu options or cocktail options were that appealing.

This is a beer lover's heaven. A large selection of craft beers on draft. Ryan the bartender is extremely knowledgeable about beers and can explain and recommend beers from the menu that has them categorized by style.

We arrived at the end of their third week in business. We called ahead because we were having a surprise retirement party for my husband, I thought there would 10-12 people, turned out we ended up with 21 people, they were amazingly flexible and accommodating as our group grew. Service was wonderful, very attentive, Reid is a great server. It is hard to serve this many people well, but they had rave reviews from our whole group. Loved the finishes patio and atmosphere, our long table was half inside and half outside, something for everyone! Food was very good and reasonably priced, I had the gazpacho, best I have ever had, and my steak was cooked to perfection. Thanks for making the evening a great success, we will be back!

Cute neighborhood spot. Lighting needs work and bathrooms look like they ran out of money during build, but overall it's cute. 2 hostesses were working and both were friendly, quoted accurate time for table wait, and kept themselves busy helping everyone. Great beer list! Ordered cheese and meat plate, mussels, and spareribs. We were required to order all at once, which is kind of annoying. Spareribs were fine, nothing great. We ate them all, but not sure if I would order them again. Next came the meat and cheese plate. Presentation was blah. After several minutes of trying to flag down our server, we asked if bread or crackers came with the plate. She said yes, went to check, and informed us that they had run out of bread. Not her fault, but still disappointing. Who has a meat/cheese plate without crackers or bread? She told the owners, who offered to buy us a round, but they never came to the table to apologize. We declined the round, though we appreciated the gesture. The meat was fine, cheese was very good. We were looking forward to the mussels, but they never made it to the table, again, very disappointing. Not sure what happened there, but we absolutely ordered them. Instead of ordering another drink and asking about our mussels, we decided to head elsewhere for a nightcap and snack. I know this place is new, but to be successful, you must execute. We will be back to try again, but will probably wait a while to give them time to work out the kinks.

Love love love this place! We have been 4 times now. The food and the service is great! The fried pickles are a must have, along with the lamb burger. Delicious! Beer selection is best in area. The only complaint I have is that it is a rather loud dining experience. You practically have to yell to hear one another at your table. Wish there was something they could do about that. Nevertheless, we will be back!

Excited that table top is finally open. We swung by a week after the opening and enjoyed small plates, salads and entrees. The rocket salad was awesome and almost big enough to be an entree. My husband had the trout and I enjoyed the mussels. The food was good and I can't wait to see if they mix up the menu in the future. Great beer and cocktail list too.

I was very excited to try out this new restaurant and I was not disappointed! Our server was awesome! He was friendly, competent, and observant! We weren't left waiting at all! The atmosphere is beautiful and comfortable while also not being pretentious. The food was amazing! I am a vegetarian and it is often difficult to find flavorful and interesting dishes and Table Top delivered! I am super excited to return tomorrow evening for a friend's birthday!

I use Yelp A LOT to get suggestions on different places to dine. I also write reviews. My policy is always to tell an owner when I am less than impressed, and give them the opportunity to remedy it; and to write reviews when things are positive. Having a business myself, I always want to know what works and what doesn't so I can have happy customers and a thriving business. In a time when entrepreneurship is rare, and knowing a place is new, I am surprised by some of the harsh criticism made on this very cool place on its maiden voyage. I drove by the Table Top several times while it was being built and was really excited to give it a try. With a busy schedule, it took me awhile to get there. My first impression was, this is my new neighborhood hangout! It has an awesome vibe and the woodwork is so cool. I thought the beer display was beautiful, however, I am a wine drinker so I cannot comment on the selection. I love the open floor plan. You can tell there was a lot of attention paid to detail. The owners used unique pieces to do the lighting and the tables. I think this place has the ability to be both a neighborhood hangout as well as more of a fine dining restaurant. The menu is very unique which allows for a quick bite, or a "dining experience." I had the lamb burger and it was absolutely delicious. They used very (cheeses, peppers, etc.) that I was not expecting and it gave it a huge flavor. One of the owners personally came to our table to make sure we were getting everything we needed. I had a great time and will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful time at Table Top last night. Had heard good things and it did not disappoint, except our sever was on his initiation, so I will give him a break. Lamb burgers were excellent, as was the lamb entree and the Lentil plate. Charcuterie and cheese boards were good, but scanty for the price. Fairly good draught beer selection, lacking on the dark side.Like everything, it is a process and we are looking forward to returning.

We live in Stapleton so we're always excited about a non-chain restaurant with some panache opening within a 5 mile radius. Our first impression as we walked through the door was, wow!, right here on Oneida? Like any restaurant located outside of restaurant hot spots like downtown, Pearl or the Highlands, it's hard to get really top notch waitstaff. Table Top suffers from this affliction. On the 3 visits there we've experienced tentative, un-confident service, sloppy service (e.g., water bottle taken to fill but not reappearing until we were done eating, meals delivered but silverware missing). Nice people, just not proficient. But the food is good and well-priced! Even if the menu is somewhat limited, what is there is well-executed. A Pork chop we ordered was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The BBQ port sandwich is generously portioned and delicious. Now, here's the problem with Table Top. It is LOUD. Not just a little. A table of 4 can hardly hear one another without yelling. All the surfaces are hard at Table Top. While it's clear they've tried to dampen the noise with some occasional acoustical tiles on the ceiling, it's just not enough. Add to that the fact that parents with small children know this is a loud place (therefore their loud kids won't be noticed) and the fact that everyone is yelling to be heard and you have a medium to high roar to contend with if you want to converse. The exception is the patio, which feels like you're in a neighbor's backyard, vs. a professional restaurant patio. That's okay though. It offers an escape from the roar. There are a bunch of beers on the menu, which is getting to be a prerequisite in Denver. The wine list is decent. With this location (surrounded by desperate diners) the owners just need to put more effort into service training and solve the noise problem and I for one would give this restaurant 4 stars and be there once a week. As it is, we won't be returning until we hear through the grapevine that things have changed.

Stopped in for dinner after work on a Thursday. Very cozy atmosphere, the place was full but with no wait and excellent service. We had burrata (amazing presentation and excellent all around), the mussels are some of the best mussels I have ever had the potatoes in the broth were an added treat. Also enjoyed the scallop risotto and serrano peppers. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole meal, everything was impressively presented, tasted great and was full of high quality ingredients combined creatively. Surpassed expectations and will definitely be back. I wish it was in our neighborhood (highlands) but at least it's on the way home from work.

I know this restaurant is newer.....and I think they have potential....but there are definitely some kinks to be worked out. We went for new years eve. The hostess wasn't particularly friendly. Our server was a nice guy, seemed a little nervous and overwhelmed. He didn't know much about the drinks on the menu. Drink service was slow. I was worried our appetizer would get there before my wine.....but it made it just in the nick of time. Meat and cheese plate was the best part of the meal. I loved it. I was going to order a salad with my meal but the server ran off before I had a chance to add it to my order. The main course was a let down. I had the pork tenderloin. It was VERY rare, actually cold. It came with pumpkin, hushpuppies and broccoli. All very dry and cold. It was actually difficult to swallow. I almost never leave food my plate....but I did here. I thought about complaining but didn't want to ruin new years. My husband had the steak that was also VERY rare with cold undercooked sides, but I think he liked it well enough. Dessert options were also a let down. apple crisp seemed undercooked, cold. They ran out of 2 of 3 ice cream options. The leftover vegan peanut butter gelato was delicious. The owner was on the floor running plates, but never asked how things were....seemed odd. I think this place has great potential and we will be back.....but will probably give them a few more months to figure things out.

I visited table top around the time it opened and I absolutely loved the fried pickles and popcorn cauliflower and cheese platter. The high quality of the ingredients were obvious in every bite which paired well with my cocktail and my husband's beer. Great selection of beers, by the way. We also loved a braised lamb shank that i see is no longer on the menu but I see that a braised lamb ragu is, which it am eager to try. We had such a great experience with the service. We didn't have a reservation and though the place was packed, they accommodated us right away. My husband and I were just talking about going out to dinner. I think we are overdue for a visit to table top to try some of the new items on the menu.

My husband and I were there 8/15/14 -- really want this place to be super successful. Think they have the wine/beer selection pretty well take care of, the food we had was very good -- I had the pasta of the day and he had the fish -- both yummy. I believe for them to be successful in this location a revisit to the food vs. pricing needs to be made. The vibe to us was a little Georgetownish or Golden..... Definitely a great stepping off point for this restaurant. Will definitely go back. Our server Amy could not have been more accommodating and sweet -- she really made us feel welcome.
