This is your standard greasy spoon. I am giving it 4 stars for remaining in existence. The waitress was nice, you get only one free refill, and it looks like it's straight out of the 70s. The food prices are reasonable. They have pricey items and items that are insanely cheap for what you get--like all greasy spoons. My waitress explained to me that they will soon close for remodeling and then have a full bar + counter area where you can sit and also watch the cook. In any case, I like this place. I kinda wish they would not remodel, but I know they will have to remodel to remain competitive on the SoBo strip. It may not be fancy, but their food is not as greasy as Punch Bowl's. Decent retro greasy spoon/neighborhood joint.

I dropped in while shopping, and saw their $3 blood mary sign. I'm a sucker for a good bloody, however, their's was not good. It was like the free shitty drinks you get at a casino while gambling - short tumbler glass, basic, cheap liquor and mixers. Meh. The food, however, was quite yummy. I got the chicken souvlaki pita sandwich, and cleaned by plate. They hand make their own tzaziki sauce, which was thick, rich, tart, probably the best tzaziki sauce I've ever had. The owner said she planned on selling it in large take-home volumes. It's a total dive, but comfy and non-threatening like some loud, hipster-y bars and restaurants on the broadway strip.

Terrible food and a bit overpriced. There was a man that did chase us down after I forgot my phone at the table though, he was super nice! :)

Love love love this spot. They're renaming it to something else, so keep an eye on that, but they've reassured me their exquisite chicken fried steak (and make no mistake, I am a chicken fried steak connoisseur) will remain on the menu. They're also extending their hours! This place is the best. They use Frank's Hot Sauce though which I find to be unsatisfactory in terms of heat. Next time I'm bringing my own hot sauce.

We live in Baker and often come to Swifts for breakfast! We love the food! It tastes great, I have never been disappointed! The prices are good too. My favorite is the gyro omelet that comes with pita and tzazaki. The owner is super and is investing into fixing up the place. Currently, the decor is terrible but hopefully that will improve with the remodel! Stop by and support small business! You wont be disappointed! Plus, $3 mimosas, who can do better than that?

Steakhouse. What!? Well, it is their aspiration. Go check it out. Food is fair and value is high. Your wallet/pocketbook will love you for it. Ambiance. 5 stars if your going for the Dive brass-ring. I wonder whether they have thought of expanding their hours? No late service, darn. They should try skimming from the hip-meisters from Sputniks.

Definition of a greasy spoon- I say that with love. If that's what you're looking for this is a good spot. Breakfast burrito is tasty.

Perfect food to nurse a hangover. You can get ANYTHING here - that's the best part. Had a gyro, it was greasy and delicious. Totally dive-y, totally great.

I enjoy this breakfast place on regular basis. The gyro is out of the world. Good value. Enjoyable place to grab coffee, eat and read the paper. Mimi run the place and is a great host.

I tried this place on a tip from a friend. The huevos rancheros are good, but the tzaziki sauce is the very best ever. It's thick, flavorful and, according to my server, soon to be available for purchase from the restaurant. I ordered a chicken souvlaki and the meat contained a bit of gristle and even a small bone, but was well seasoned, moist and delicious. The service was fast and friendly and the coffee refills prompt. This is good because they use small mugs. Watch for bones, but recommended all the same. That sauce is worthy.

If you end of bar hopping down broadway and find yourself still in the area the next morning, either to pick up (find) your car, or do the walk of shame, or rmaybe you have a slight hangover; this is a Great Breakfast Spot for a Great Price! They usually have daily specials and cheap bloody's. The menu has a great variety, and the service is friendly! I've only been on the weekends for breakfast/brunch, but so far so good! Check this place out!

Pluck a greek diner out of Brooklyn, cut the prices by about 30%, drop it on south broadway, and give it $3 mimosa and bloody mary specials for sunday brunch. Welcome to Swift's. It's not going to be fancy, but it will be tasty. Homemade home fries, cheap steak and eggs breakfasts, and even a breakfast gyro if that's more your speed. Bottomless cups of coffee. Strong bloody marys. A deconstructed Sunday paper on the front table. Waitresses that greet the regulars by name. Tough to beat if this is what you're in the mood for. It's not high dining, but it's a great hangover cure. Too bad they're not open past 3pm; they could do a brisk after-bar-close business.

My first time there was today for lunch around 1230. The waitress was rude because we had a few more people show up that expected and has to switch tables to accommodate, didn't make her happy and she let us know it. The table we switched to was being cleaned and it had spilled creamer all over the floor which they didn't even attempt to clean. The food was OK slightly over priced. I'll give it another shot one day but, it'll be a while.

Love this place. Great neighborhood joint with a fun cast of characters in and out. Also the breakfast burrito rocks and their pancakes are great--lightly crispy outside and fluffy inside. Yum.

I REALLY wish I could get this place onto Kitchen Nightmares. They are missing the boat. The fact that you have to pay like an extra 1.50 just to put cheese on eggs... I think not. Breakfast is the cheapest food you can possibly make. I WANT to love this place... I really do. It has such potential... but until they bring down their prices and perhaps work a bit on the quality of food. Everything I've ever eaten here is "meh" and it'd be awesome if they'd get some bigger coffee cups so that my entire cup is not gone in like 3 sips. (Ok so that's a slight embellishment, but they are tiny!) And half and half please... not the synthetic creamer that can sit out for hours and not spoil. These are all simple requests that would make this place a whole heck of a lot better. I definitely feel like you're nickle and dimed for every little thing on the menu though.
