This place is really hit or miss. Drinks are cheap. Staff is usually okay, had a couple rude interactions but I don't blame them for the location. Three Guys Pies is awesome to snack on when you're drunky. Clientele can be real douchebags on the right night. Awesome patio though for enjoying your drink and taking in the Colfax scene (sometimes becoming a part of it).

Nice little dive bar with cheap drinks, decent music, and balanced pool tables. Good for a pit stop. I didn't try the attached pizza place, but the simple fact that you could walk five steps and get a slice after 9pm was a neat little detail. The outside area is great for people watching, if that's your thing. The character of the neighborhood is on full display.

Visiting from TX and we love pubs so we decided to check it out. We only stayed for 1 drink as it was not what we expected. At least the bartender was nice and my drink was made well. You'd think the owners/management could spend $20 to replace the toilet seat in the women's restroom. It didn't fit the toilet and the paint was so faded. It was freezing in there too! If we move to the area like we are considering, we'll know to avoid this place.

I feel bad about leaving 2 stars. Everything was great (went Tuesday, March 3.) Cheap drinks, perfectly decent bar food, but . . . There was a female bartender (long, brown hair) and a male bartender (bald dude.) It was nigh on impossible to order a drink from the girl, so I waited to order from the dude on the other side of the bar. And then I saw it. A pizza crust in the girl's ice well. And she kept serving drinks out of it. Okay, so when you're a bartender and your ice gets contaminated, YOU HAVE TO BURN THAT SHIT. I've had a wine glass splinter into my well once. I had to melt all the ice and fish the glass shards out, and it was a huge pain in the ass, but it's what you have to do to protect both your customers' and the bar's interests. You do not serve your guests glass, and you do not serve them drinks with pizza crumbs in them. GROSS. Never again.

Good beers at good prices. $3 Newcastle (not sure if that's a happy hour price or not) on a Saturday is a pretty sweet deal. Tuesday evenings are $2 you call it. I wish more places encouraged drinking on a school night like that. They have a decent pizza place inside as well. All told, it's a good place to hang out with friends.

When a bar plays a movie on a screen projector, that's great. But when a bar plays one of the world's most disturbing movies, Gummo - there's a problem. At first, I appreciated the eclectic crowd that didn't seem to make sense for a British-style pub, but then was terrifyingly reminded of just how creepy Gummo was and that I'd promised myself never to let my eyes see that movie again. I am just trying to enjoy a beer with friends, man. Good buddies, Carly B and David P gave me a little insight into the bar's history. That it used to be old stomping grounds for the punk crowd, which made sense for a British pub. But now it's just a strange mix of death metal music, a pizza joint in the corner, dirty bathrooms, and British paraphernalia. I do, however, think it's a top spot for billiards, drinking outside, and making buddies with the bartenders as the service was supremely nice.

What a gem. Drinks are cheap and music is wonderful.can spend 20 dollars and have your fill and then some. Also great location. The bathrooms are a little gross, but lighten up its a bar. Good place to go.

Dive bar along Colfax. $3 beers during the World Cup matches. Two pool tables and a few small TVs to watch a game. I thought the service was pretty decent, we were sitting at a table and the bartender was walking by every 15 min or so to check in and see if we needed anything. Cheap slices of pizza (~$3) as well!

The beer selection is small, but the prices are good. The bar is in the same building as a pizza shop, which is convenient.

I go on Tuesdays for $2 you call it's. Literally everything to drink is just $2 Guineas - $2 Pbr - $2 Bourbon - $2 Coke - $2 Choose wisely. Also the pizza is pretty fucking awesome.

Terrible service and filthy. Cheap drinks are about all it has going for it. The bartenders are slow to the point of being rude - if not just crappy at their job. There's much better bars in the area with cheap drinks - try the Park Tavern.

This is my go-to hood spot. I'm sure the bartenders all know me by now. I'm only literally- a block away from this place so I'm now here at least 3-4 times a week. This place is way better than the snug in my book, plus the patrons are more interesting looking and the music is better (usually). They also serve the best pizza by the slice at 3 Guys Pies. Better than Fat Sully or Sexy Pizza or Benny Blanco's if you ask me, and at under $3 can make for a quick cheap dinner. They do $2-you-call it Tuesday nights after 8 pm. Plus the patio is great for people watching down Colfax in the summer!

Not impressed. This place should rename itself "Poser Palace". Denver bar/Lounge/club owners need to get a simple friggin thing sorted: Don't get assholes to tend your bars. Service is as important as slinging drinks! Damn.

There's been a lot of talk lately about gentrification and NIMBYism in Denver. Lots of great long-time, authentic businesses have been closing up shop, being replaced with the latest and greatest. Meanwhile, places like Rockbar have been getting their liquor licenses revoked and neighborhoods are up in arms over new business and developments. So it's kind of encouraging that a long-established Colfax drinking hole like Streets of London is still doing great business on the weekends. And why shouldn't they? They have Strongbow on tap and a killer $1 off late-nite happy hour which means that it's only $3. It has a really varied crowd of barely legal age hipsters, winos, punks, yuppies and people that could be all four. There was a group of them that were yelling and running around the bar. The service is quick and efficient, which is all I need. Not exactly the friendliest bar staff but I don't find them rude either, just doing their job in the best way they can and dealing with the craziness. The friend I was with remembers Colfax from about 10 years ago. She said this bar was a definite punk hangout then and there would often be crazy fights outside. There wasn't any of that in my last few recent visits, but there is still a wonderful rowdiness that I appreciate. And that I hope people in Denver will continue to appreciate too.

Colfax is a lot of things, consider this the pseudo punk section. Grimey and people wearing a lot of black and with a certain dirt charm. The pizza is unquestionably good, its also technically a separate business so don't open a tab at the bar and then think you can use it to get a slice. They have a decent menu and the slices are the crazy big greasy kind you need when drinking. The two pool tables are typically available. The drinks are pretty cheap, particularly on Tuesdays after 8pm for $2 u-call-its. I wouldn't call the clientele the friendliest in town by any means but its laid back and the patio is great.

Cheap beer, great atmosphere for soccer. Tuesdays are always slammed as drink specials are great. Pizza is standard. If they still have some pinwheels left when you roll in you can get those cheap and they are tasty.

I have come here on and off for months for two dollar tuesday. I have never been impressed, but it worked for cheap drinks after works. But tonight, just about an hour ago, I had a confrontation with a "bouncer" or the guy assigned to sit on a stool on the back patio and make sure nobody walks into the kitchen. I tried to exit out the little patio door onto the sidewalk to go home, and he immediately stopped me, and got very confrontational right off the bat. I didn't see a problem with leaving the bar to go home through a small swinging door that people lean on when they're in the patio. All that was needed was, "hey man, do you mind going out the front? that's just for employees." Instead he started cussing at me and my friend saying; "Because I f**ing said so, It's the rules" "yeah keep smiling f**er" and "go the f** out the front before I kick you out" If I was drunker, or a more violent person, this guy would have had a problem on his hands, and I would have been arrested, or beat up by the rest of the bar employees. If you work at a bar (I have) it is absolutely unacceptable to start fights with drunk customers. Little guy with tattoos in the beanie should be fired. Customer service usually isn't great there, but this is ridiculous.

Been going here for years off and on. Cheap booze and interesting folks hanging out. Great place for a Sunday Funday when the weather is nice. The scene has changed some over time but The fish and chips is still Denver's best even though the quality has gone down a little ever since they started letting the restaurant next door do their cooking...but it is still top notch. I have had other menu items too which I have always thought were good. The chicken curry was awesome when I had it years ago but now I always get the fish. Don't let the Colfax dive bar feel scare you away from the fish and chips. Great drink specials too and there is a pizza joint inside so you can get a slice before you stumble out onto COLFAX.

First time here.. Sat at the bar, watched a few drunk guys walk in and literally heard the bartender call one of the guys a "fag****". I'll never be back and will tell my friends to do the same. Very disappointed that this still happens in bars. Especially in Denver!

One Star - Strongbow on Tap One Star - Bomb pizza for cheap It must be stated that if you have bartenders calling customers c*ck suckers and it's not even a gay bar then you need a lesson...in more ways than one. I don't put up with rude staff even if they are overworked and underpaid. C'mon, is that really the face you want to put on your business? Usually there is a wait to be acknowledged by the bartenders...and there are no servers. It's a Colfax staple that always has some interesting clientele. More times than none you get a rocker crowd coupled with the crazies that wander in from the fax. Don't walk in with your kick-ball team unless you want to get questioning looks. But hey, I don't expect Miss Congeniality to hang out at a pub. However, the patio can be lots of fun in the summer. The shining sun and the local flavor walking (or stumbling) up and down Colfax is not to be missed! There is a decent selection of English beer which is nice and a smallish menu that will help soak up all the booze. My advice is to add this place to your list of bars for a Colfax Crawl. Stop in, make it quick and then bounce. Cheer-e-o.

I've never actually been in here for anything other than $2 Tuesdays.... but $2 Tuesdays are where it's at! If you come in a little early (8 or 9), it's easy to find a seat and chill for a while. Once it gets later it gets PACKED, though. I definitely like the ambiance. It's got a punk/hipster/divey feel without the really depressing hardcore alcoholic folks that might be spotted at other divey joints on Colfax. Good vibes and cheap booze is a-ok in my book.

Did you know that next door to Streets of London you can drive through a liquor store? More importantly did you know at Streets you can get french fries with curry sauce. Well, then, you're welcome. Streets is sort of a Colfax punker staple. Most of the time everyone in there is pierced and tattooed and still pretty friendly. Or at least standoffish in a non-threating way so that's cool. They have awesome drink specials - like $2 you call it Tuesdays, which is where I've just been. And they have pretty good food choices - just standard English pub fare, but hey, who doesn't like a nice serving of fish and chips?

So...it's the Fourth of July (2013) and all of our regular watering holes are closed for the holiday. I had been to Streets of London Pub only once before, during the Christmas season, and swore then that I wouldn't be back because of the young lowlifes that hang (and fight) there. But, because the Bicycle Cafe and My Brothers' Bar were dark for the day, we relented and gave this dive another shot...we just wanted a cold tap beer on a hot summer day. The visit was a mistake. The bartender was dumber than a box of hammers. He could have generated more in sales by asking if we wanted to start a tab. Instead he slammed our drinks on the bar with, "That'll be six bucks." I gave him a ten and was almost going to give him a tip of the change...except for the crap he had going on two of the TVs at the bar. He was so engrossed in the gross-outs happening on "Fear Factor" that he could care less about providing service to the two old people - with disposable drinking dollars - sitting at the bar. When his TV program had young girlies (as dumb as he is) eating squirming earthworms and live beetles, we had to move to a table far away from the view of the screens. As we moved, I picked up the $4 dollars I had left on the bar and said, "I was going to leave you a tip, but since your TV is more important to you than the customers are, I think not." He just gave me a dumb-f*** look...like he didn't get it. The place was clean, probably because it was almost empty. The pizza kitchen was pretty busy and smelled great...most customers were ordering their pizzas by phone. If we hadn't gotten so grossed-out by the dolt of a bartender, we may have ordered one. Oh yeah...the extremely loud background music sucked, too.

My local watering hole. Atleast on Tuesdays and thursdays. $2/3 u call its! Cool staff and always something entertaining on Colfax. Plus the pizza/food from 3guys inside is amazing and theyre great peeps too. So, cheap drinks/pool/pizza AND now there is Voodoo donuts across the street!

A colfax special. Great for weekend afternoon drinks with the locals. Cool bartender, great location, rockstar parking.\What else could you ask for? Oh, cheap beer! yeah, they have that too.

Extremely disappointed and appalled at the behavior and actions (or lack of actions) taken by the staff in regarding to an incident between a beligerant male and a gay man in the bathroom. This individual gay male had his head thrown into the bathroom and up against the metal flushing part of the urinal. When this issue was brought to the attention of the bouncers and bartenders (all while he was running around the bar yelling FUCK FAGS) they simply said that nothing could be done. Had it of been a girl that made this complaint, this individual would have been kicked out. horrific bar, and i will never be attendance again

$2 Tuesdays, you can't go wrong. I've heard positive things about the food. But $2 for any beer or well drink, it's even better. With outdoor 2 seating areas, the atmosphere makes you want to stay for just one drink more.

I visited this bar for the first time last week to watch the Broncos game, and when I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. There were several TVs around the bar that made for easy watching, and the atmosphere for the game was dynamic. I excitedly settled in at the bar with a friend and waited to order a beer. I waited...and waited...and waited. There was only one bartender serving the crowd, and it seemed he was more interested in serving himself. I counted, and he had taken 3 shots, all the while laughing and joking with friends, before I had ordered my first beer. After about 15 minutes of literally just staring at him stumbling around behind the bar, I raised my hand to see if that would catch his attention. Now, I HATE when patrons do that, and I have honestly never resorted to it before. I've been in the industry for years, and I know how annoying hands in your face can be when you're getting your ass handed to you. But this was an exception. It was absolutely unbelievable. The two strangers on either side of us commented, "I'm surprised you haven't gotten up and walked out yet." One of them even suggested to the bartender he buy me the drink for having to wait so long. I'm pretty sure he was too drunk to understand what they said. He poured my Shiner Bock, but not without it overflowing over onto his hand and then onto the bar. The guy was a wasted mess. I get wanting to enjoy some Sunday football with your friends. I even get having a drink on the job. But...pull yourself together, dude. I won't be back.

My husband and I came here for a quick drink before a show at the Fillmore. The bartender was rude to us and talked about my husband to the other bartender working. It was completely unprofessional and lack any customer service skills. A friendly bartender = more tips...obviously they are not that intelligent there either. If you're looking for a pub in this area, I recommend going to the Irish Pub just down the street.

Didn't eat here, but had pool league. They have Boddington's on Tap! Shhhweeeet! For a Boddington's and a shot of jamo- $10 lucky for me it was my birthday so I didn't have a huge tab, part of the downfall was the pool tables need some TLC and one of the bartenders wanted to see my ID again after serving me all night when my friends wanted to buy me birthday shots-otherwise things were alright.

Went on a weekday night, so not very busy. There was plenty of room for my party and me to hang out (though the pool tables were occupied during our entire stay). It's your typical bar and clean enough. I don't recall the music being anything to write home or complain about. The staff was a bit rough around the edges, but not outwardly rude or anything. The prices aren't bad and the beer selection was just what I've been looking for. It'd been a while since I'd had a London Pride and it was just as good as I remembered it. Will go back some day, I'm sure.

This is a dark, dark bar full of interesting punk rockers and other crazy Colfaxers. The food isn't that impressive, ok for bar food. The bar tenders are nice. It's good for a cheap drink and people watching. Takin it all in on the Fax.

  • Matt S.

You wouldn't think so when walking in, but the pizza and calzones are outstanding! It's a dirty looking bar with no frills. Don't expect 5 star service or the latest dance hits. If you like great pizza, good drink prices, a good patio, loud music, or big buck hunter, then it's your place. Don't change! Great Colfax bar if you don't mind a little grittiness.

$2 you call the shots, drafts, and domestic bottles on TUESDAYS! This place is great! The pizza place inside is fantastic, the bar prices are great and there's a great jukebox and pool tables! The only downside is that I was ignored and the bartenders are kinda snarky.

I was here last night with friends. Here is my litany of complaints: 1. The waitress took over 10 minutes to come to our table. The place was not crowded. 2. When I said I was the driver, I got a snort and look of disdain and was ignored for the rest of the night. Sorry, DUI's and DWI's are not really that awesome. 3. My friends finally got their drinks. Waitress took the nasty, old glasses from the former table occupants at this point. 4. Despite us trying to flag her down for nearly 20 minutes, she would not come to our table. She actively ignored us while flirting with the doorman. We were right in front of her. 5. We finally got her and tried to settle up. I gave her my card, since my friend didn't want to do a $5 minimum credit card charge on her Visa. I realized I had cash, and chased the waitress down and gave her cash. She then chased me down and demanded to know why she got a crap tip, compared to the $1.50 she would have gotten on the Visa for a $3.50 drink. 6. This morning, I check my bank. Oh, the waitress charged me $5 on my card AND took my cash. 7. I call the bar. They won't even talk about it until Monday and showed no interest in the problem. They apparently condone crappy waitresses stealing money from customers. I eagerly await a call from the owner.

Been coming here for a couple years. About a 30 mile ride out of my way. Great place to park the bike on the sidewalk next to the entrance and park your ass on the patio or at the bar. Never had a rude bartender and never had to wait forever for a drink. Great music always playing on the jukebox. Awesome mix of your inner city hipsters, chop builders, punk, working and business class. Do yourself a favor and stop by. You will not regret it.

And now, a haiku for all my mates at Streets of London: Serious hipsters Skinny jean heaven exists Within these brick walls The bartenders are Tattooed, aloof but speedy With my High Life beer Lots of room for pool Just make sure you do not smack Someone in the face Man, I should start a poetry slam night at Streets. Who's with me? Anyone? Bueller?

Streets of London is another bar within stumbling distance of my place and it's a good bar to have nearby. Pros: Cheap drinks! Was there on a Friday recently and they had $2 wells till 8. Also, $1 PBRs on Mondays. But even without specials, still cheap Cool music Decent people Good food (chips and curry + potato croquettes = delicious) Cons: This place is stinky It's also drafty The bathrooms are freezing and remind me of a fast food bathroom...flourescent and sterile, yet still dirty. Uncomfortable, but not very rock and roll. No service at tables, which is fine, but at one point the bartender came out wordlessly and took all of our menus. It was only 8. Weird. Due to the aforementioned, the bar gets CROWDED but you feel like you're in someone's way standing at it. All in all, I'll overlook everything for the cheap, cheap drinks and the fact that my friends are always down for Streets.

PBR can and a HUGE made to order slice of pizza for $4 every day 2-6 p.m. Not sure if I even have to go on, but... Divey atmosphere that's just ghetto enough to be awesome, and a great patio for people watching. You can watch the sunset over the capitol building & mountains, and a homeless man trying to steal cigarette butts out of the ashtrays with his cane. Love love love love this place.

I came here when I had just moved to Denver. They are constantly advertising they are dog friendly to well behaved dogs. So I bring my dog down one night and sit on the patio, I have no trouble getting in, I arrive around 11:00/11:30 and my dog is the most well behaved dog you'll ever meet. After a while (a few hours), I finally feel comfortable enough to ask someone to watch my dog for a minute while I get a drink. probably 30-45 minutes after that (it's about 1:15am now) a waitress comes out screaming at me on the top of her lungs and says "GET THE F*** OUT!" I just looked at her and said excuse me?, she screamed the same thing at me again. I asked why she was yelling at me since all I was doing was sitting there talking. The whole time she's screaming at me, eventually the bar goes almost quiet, that's how loud she's being. She starts saying something about my dog and to "get him the f*** out" I asked if I was mistaken or does this bar advertise they are dog friendly, he's just laying down. She finally tells me dog are not allowed on Tuesday night because of some special they have and due to safety concerns, they don't feel there is room on the patio. I told her that really needs to be put on the ads. I had just bought a beer and asked for a minute to finish it and, I didn't think it as possible but she just got nastier, saying I only paid $2, I can afford the loss and to get now not. I was new to town, how am I supposed to know dogs aren't allowed on Tuesdays if it's not advertised. But had she politely come up and told me that, I would have apologized and left. Now, I'll never go back there again. I've never been spoken to like that by anyone. She obviously was having a bad day and wanted to take it out on me. I've been told by friends who still go down there occasionally that she still screams at people. Skip this bar, go to any number of the other ones in the area. There is no need to be treated like that.

I remember when you could get seriously messed up at this place. What happened? For so many nights I remember picking up friends off the bathroom floor after they emptied their bar tab back into the toilet. I remember when someone getting punched out over who had dibs on the pool table was a common occurrence or when police were arresting drunk folk because they were throwing empty glasses from the patio onto Colfax. Maybe I've just gotten older. Maybe the standards have changed. But Streets of London is no longer an exciting place to drink. In recent times, they've installed a pizza window. Good pizza, but I never remember going to Streets for the food. Now the popped collar-dudes outnumber the motorcycle jackets, and there is a clan of folks who are always dressed like they are coming to or going from a show where they play 80s glam-metal covers all night. There is a sign in the window that still reads "No Club Colors" but you still wont have any idea what they're talking about because the closest motorbike to this place is sitting on top of the liquor store adjacent to the bar (Scooters). If you are looking for that "dirty" place to drink where you might get more of a thrill than you will at, say, Sing Sings, then I guess Streets is right where you're at. The imports are adventurous and every now and again the bartender will flat out ignore you while she flirts with, you know, some dude. Before long Streets will probably start hosting karaoke nights and the bros will be singing along to "Sweet Caroline" and "Don't Stop Believing" on the jukebox when the lights start to go up. Before long, the only place in this town where you might get drunk and bloodied could very well be the Carioca Cafe. Or maybe Old Chicago.

I had been here a few times on miscellaneous Colfax crawls, and always found myself wanting to stay longer than a drink. I went on a fairly slow night for a solid couple of hours. When I walk into a bar and The Descendents are playing on the jukebox, I know I'm in for a good night. I drink Makers on the rocks, and it was reasonably priced for the pours ($6.00). You can definitely get away cheaper, with staples like Pabst, Beam, and Jager. They also have Murphy's and Smithwick's on tap. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were pretty quick, although it wasn't a crazy night. Bottom Line: Go here for good music, stiff drinks, and personality. Haven't eaten here, but the pizza looked decent.

This is a great bar in the classic sticky floor, English punk rock tradition. I don't get back to this filthy joint nearly as often as I used to however, after all these years, it still doesn't disappoint. Cheap ass drinks, great prices on food and a fuck you attitude I've come to love. I've heard this place referred to as a hipster joint but don't be fooled. You're far more likely to hear Suicidal Tendencies then Arcade Fire, and filthy punks have been wearing tight jeans since before Fallout Boy was an itch in his daddy's crotch. The traditional English pub food is loaded with grease and salt. A friend of mine from Manchester, UK said it's the most authentic he's had in the States. Try the curry and the cheese croquets...shit's the bomb. The New York style pizza is all the food they offer after 8pm, and it's pretty authentic too...for Denver. If you're not into all that, don't go.

If you want really horrible and unfriendly "service" then this is your place. If you're gonna be an ***hole at least have a British accent so its entertaining. I'm sorry your bar buddies gang banged your girlfriend but you really don't need to take it out on your customers. They did have fried mushrooms at one point, they may still....pretty bomb. Overall recommendation, go get wasted somewhere else and if you really want to top the night off stop here and puke before you make your way home.

kinda cool, kinda not... wasn't totally impressed but also wasn't very sober. One cool thing-- the pizza window IN the pub. One bad thing-- the pizza sucks, even when drunk. Is that possible? I'll probably go back because I can walk/stumble there if need be.

When I was 19, I used to go to bars courtesy of my fake ID. Back then three things I really liked were the Dropkick Murphy's, Streets of London Pub, and writing snarky, cynical reviews of places that suck. Ten years on, I only like one of those things anymore.

Four stars for happy hour prices. One star for service. Two stars for food including wait time. So it's cool this place doesn't employ waitstaff (at least during the hours we were there); it works out well because the place was near empty, so stepping up to the bar never posed a problem in order to get a drink. Not to mention, $2 draughts (Boddington's on tap hell yes!), wells, and Long Islands--it's hard to go wrong from 4-6, 4-8 on Friday (me likey). However, Friday at 6:30 this place looked like a Bennigan's right before closing time on a Tuesday night. They were playing Simpsons on the television, and I could more or less hear the show. Not a bad thing though; certainly the most quiet bar music I've heard (or rather, not heard), and it was kind of nice not having to shout at my cohorts to be understood. That being said, why was the wait time for food 30 minutes? A burger and two orders of fries... what's up with that? But speaking of food, Streets has a relatively small menu, but good stand-by choices (burger and wings), curry and bangers for authenticity's sake, and even some delights for the vegetarian (yay). Some items are slightly better priced than other places while others are right in line. Expect to pay $7-$10 for an entree if ordering. The English chips are pretty good. While the barkeep made it seem as though she had many more important things to be doing beyond pulling pints on an early Friday evening, she was efficient, and I reckon working at a bar on Colfax a girl has to be somewhat "gruff" to take the edge off. If I'm in the area I will certainly meet up with work chums here again. With a couple of pool tables, a jukebox, and cheap drinks, there's something for everyone at Streets of London.

One of these nights I'm going to pump that jukebox full of enough spare change to make a Colfax bum's heart skip a beat-- oh wait, that's Crystal Meth causing that arrhythmia. At any rate, I'm going to play Eazy-E's "Eazy Duz It" ...the entire album. And then I'm going to play Def Leppard's Greatest Hits twice. Yes, the whole thing. Yes, twice. And then I'll plug in some Flogging Molly... but only one or two songs. Just a tease. Then I'll close out the night with some Journey so we can all slow dance like middle schoolers to "Faithfully," wrapped up in each others' arms like we never want to let each other go. Streets of London, you rock. Not just your jukebox... YOU. I'm forever yours... faithfully.

Cheddar Croquettes and a Stout, that is what keeps me coming to the Streets of London Pub. The prices are a little steep (especially for the food) but you can almost always find an empty table on the patio and they play punk, Irish punk, and metal. What not to get: The Irish Nachos - its fries with cheese. What to get: The Croquettes and the Deep Fried Snickers.

HUGE fan of Streets of London. Headed over post-show from the Ogden. The pizza is HUGE and my friend said pretty stellar. He managed to put away two slices and I'm still in awe. The real catch here (besides cheap booze) is the jukebox. The selection is insane. We played everything from NOFX to the Replacements. I have to acknowledge the bartenders as well. The move fast and are super attentive. Def. a local hangout for me.

I'd reviewed Streets of London previously, but trying to add it on a list realize that it's not here anymore. So, consider this a take 2. I like Streets of London. They pour a stiff drink. There's usually really great music playing. There are lots of hot, rocker girls around. I've had trouble with one of the bartenders pouring the wrong drinks and short changing or worse, trying to give my change to someone else. So, I just avoid that guy now. They have a $2 night on Tuesdays, but it gets awfully crowded. The food is OK. Service is OK. It's really cheap booze, good tunes and people watching that makes this place special.

Great place to go and find a cheap drink + a hook-up... when I was in my early 20's. Now, I'm just over it. $2.00 Tuesday was great until they got rid of Guinness. They have PBR and pizza if you need a cheap night out.

Yummy, the NY Style pizza here is really good, though a bit on the pricey side I think. To sort of circumvent that I recommend getting the HUGE individual slices which are only $2.50. A few slices def. cover the same area as a large pie for a lot less $. Yes, many do call me Rekha "that crafty chica" G. Hmmm...I never really felt "uncomfortable" at all here, not sure what those comments are about.

Two stars - one for the jukebox, and two because maybe we went on a bad night. But I want to start off with this. I love Fugazi as much as the next person who understands what Ian MacKaye was doing. The first ever stencil I ever made was the Cocksparrer logo to go on the bottom of my skateboard. The first record I ever bought was a Clash record. My first love was punk rock. I don't get this place. My friend (she's black) and I (i'm asian) walked in and the very first thing that hit us was a strong wave of "holy shit we're gonna get lynched". I totally understand how HR from Bad Brains must feel sometimes. Despite all that, we sit down for a Guinness. It was warm. Then everybody started playing trivia, with questions that only the serious demographic would know, like "What was the Dave Matthews Band's first EP?". We made like a tree and got the fuck out.

I have gone here many times. The service is okay, the drink pricing is meh. They don't know how to make cocktails, (I know, I know most of the people who go here are college students and hipsters, mostly hipsters) but they do have a sub-par beer selection. One night I asked for a Manhattan (my go to drink) and the bartender laughed in my face and refused to serve me. I got served by the other bartender and he priced it at $14, not exactly what I would expect from a place that is supposed to be cheap. DO NOT EXPECT THIS PLACE TO BE ANYTHING LIKE A BRITISH PUB!!!! This is an American bar that plays american music, expect punk rock and Snoop Dogg. The place is called Streets of London and has no resemblance of a British Pub except maybe the outside. Their is a scene of hipsters and if your anything but don't expect people to be social. The food is good. They have fried mac and cheese and other good pasta's for drinking. Overall I would say if you are looking for a good bar experience it can be found else where.

This is my favorite bar! I absolutely love this place! Drinks are cheap, they always have a special and it's really great to hang out there during the summer. I've been going there for over 6 years now and never have gotten bored with it. They have an awesome jukebox, tons of old school punk and some rockabilly thrown in. And on Sundays, they have a build your own Bloody Mary bar for $2. You can't beat that! Their food isn't all that bad either. The deep fried snickers bar is sinfully awesome.

Not sure about the last review from "Maria G" but maybe she was on her period, or just in a piss poor mood from being dumped, or dumped on. I've never ever had a problem with this bar, Been coming here for years now, and love the crowd and people. The Bar tenders are spectacular, the drink specials are awesome, and the crowd always is interesting to watch. If you want to get away from the downtown crowds and the "Schads" this is a bar to check out. The jukebox has a wide selection of Music and can never go wrong with a Can of PBR. If you need a late night snack there is always 3 Guys Pies in the bar with great deals on Pizza, or maybe some fried pickles. get your guys, get your girls, and get down here!

This place is fantastic. Delicious food - their cheese crumpet things are out of this world, the shephard's pie is one of my favorite fall meals, and the curry is dy-no-mite. The jukebox is great, the place has a solid divey/punker feel, and there're two outdoor areas for us smokers. F yeah!

Streets was my second home while living in Denver. My very own punk-rock Cheers. I love that place. I love the staff, I love the drinks, I love the front AND back patio, I love my homies that I could count on seeing there 3 or 4 nights a week. I love the juke box and the DJ nights. I LOVE $2-U-Call-Its on Tuesdays. Streets, this is a love letter to you! You were the best and warmest place to get drunk, which as you know, I did quite often! You're food wasn't that great, but Hell, I'd be lying if I said I never ate your fish and chips at midnight after 6 drinks. For anyone that maybe went to Streets one night to check it out and got scared... you don't understand. Streets is for regulars. Go often with friends and you'll get it! There are tons of interesting people there to talk to every night of the week. You're just not gonna get the full experience until you've been frequenting it for a while. So worth it, though!

I love cheap drinks. Streets of London serves cheap drinks all day, and downright dirt cheap drinks at happy hour. Not to mention, they always have some sort of drink special, whether its happy hour or not. When I'm low on cash and short on spirits, I hit this place up for a drink or 4. PBR is always cheap, and always in demand. They have two taps dedicated just to the peeber. Their liquor drinks are not for the faint of heart. I don't think you are allowed to be a bartender at Streets of London unless you have a heavy hand. This lovely establishment is right on Colfax, so there is always something going on. And, you can be guaranteed some great people watching opportunities. I read the other Yelper reviews about the pizza. I have yet to try it. I'm a little weary of trying pizza in a British pub... More importantly, if I did eat pizza in a British pub, I wouldn't EXPECT it to be good, so I doubt I'd be too disappointed. To date, the only thing I've eaten there was chips with curry dip. They were tasty. For the duration of this economic slump, I think its safe to say that I'll be a regular at the Streets of London Pub.

Oh my, what happened to Streets of London? Don't get me wrong it's still a very chill spot and the bartenders and staff are very nice. But where have all my fellow punks gone to? This used to a pretty sweet punk bar, where you could get pretty good fried bar fair and now it's more like..not a punk bar and they have a pizza shop inside. No more delicious fried mushrooms. It just doesn't have the same vibe it used to. Totally different group of people in this spot now. I mean I heard CCR on the juke box last night. Hmm..well, whatever. I'll still hit you up once in a while Streets. No harm done.

I recently returned to this pub and it was a wonderful experience. Cheap drinks. Cheap food (at the pizza stand inside). Free pool when we went. An outside seating area. My experience is that this attracts a variety of people, but so far it been a good crowd.

COOL PLACE, SUPER GOOD DEALS AND HAPPY HOUR. Word of advice. If you're a minority, or look like you're not white, full white, don't have a bunch of tats or don't look like you're in a band or don't ride a motorcycle THEN everyone inside will look at you funny!!! MY PEEPS IN AURORA, avoid this place. IF you're a rocker, or like heavy metal, have a leather jacket and don't listen to the FRAY, then this place is for you!!

Good place! Friendly staff. A few pool tables that r only 75 cents. Bit of a punk bar. Kinda small but fun place over all.

If I wasn't so nervous going in the place I could probably rate it higher. You know when you walk in some place and all eyes are on you? Yeah me neither usually. It's near a friends house or I'd probably never go again. Saw a car get broken into like NBD across the street.

If you've seen my review for Pints Pub you'll know I'm a sucker for British-themed pubs so this review may be a little biased (then again .. isn't that what reviews are all about?) Anyway ... I love this place. The beers are cheap (PBR for $2. Cheapest I've found in Denver. Yay!), the juke box has some great choices and the crowd (and staff) always makes for good people watching. It's just a great, laid back bar far away from the crazy, mostly annoying LoDo scene.

    (5)
  • Dennis H.

I almost gave an additional star for the awesome jukebox, but it wasn't quite enough for me to move one up. It *is* one of the best jukeboxes going, though. Anywhere you can hear Cock Sparrer and Fugazi is all right in my book. The bar staff is pretty responsive, even if a little hipper than you. There are usually decent specials going on, so it's not going to kill your paycheck. The food? Eh. I had some curry chicken which was just not there. The chicken itself wasn't the best cuts, the curry was OKAY, and the rice... usually my favorite part of a curry dish, but not here. It was like Uncle Ben's or something. It's a good hipster/punk bar to drink at, but eat beforehand.

The Streets is great at doing what it does. Providing excellent beer at cheap prices with none of the pretentious atmosphere there is at some of the bars in Denver. Although having said that I only drink in here in the daytime, so after 6pm who knows what happens. The bathrooms are crap, but if you've ever been to the UK you know that is a must for a local pub. So come here for the drink, people watching, and the fantastic jukebox.

  • Rip W.

I'm a day drinker, at least at the Streets. The front patio is one of my favorites - complete with pushy homeless guys bumming change and, on a good day, pretty good hooker watching. I recommend a standing ovation of she manages to get a "client". The daytime staff here rocks, the happy hour deals are some of the best I have found, and the jukebox has music that even I like. What more do you need? I can't comment on the place after 9pm, I've usually moved on the Thin Man or Rockmada by then.

  • Diana M.

Visited this place over the weekend of 4/30/11. I have no idea what the prices are (people kept buying me beer) or what the food tastes like (didn't stay long enough to try it), but the patio was nice and the people I was with were awesome! I'll try it again next time I'm in Denver...to see if it's still "A-OK" or not!

This little bar is perfect if you want to meet a mixture of hip, strange, and/or unusual people. The bartender Shane is a quiet yet friendly character who does magic tricks. The mixed drinks are poured generously, and the food is fried and fantastic. If you sit on the patio you get a view of lovely Colfax, and if a bum approaches you the doorman will curse at him and tell him/her to leave (which is kind of scary because the doormen are pretty intimidating and the bums will usually yell back). I have to say that I went there for just a drink and stayed the whole night. It wasn't crowded, the jukebox was cheap and had good rock and roll choices, and the people were friendly. The only problem today after a night there is that I am now paying heavily for the generously poured drinks.

There are three things about Streets of London that I love, the same three things I loved about pubs in England when I was there (many years ago). One: an unpretentious, mainly neighborhood crowd that has few surprises (Just a side note, this is what I HATE HATE HATE about LoDo bars. The crowd changes as often as the crowd at a mall. Therefore, there's never that sense of being surrounded by a family of regulars, who you check in with at regular intervals). Streets has been a center of punk activity for decades, ever since 13th street was "punk rock row" so the jukebox, standard modes of dress and cheap-ass beer reflect this. Two: Real British Food. And by this, I mean everything a.) fried or b.) derived from the immigrant populations in England that brought decent food to a country accustomed to throwing handfuls of black pepper onto sheep entrails and hoping for the best. Curry fries, a good blend of both approaches, are a favorite. Though their forays into American cuisine are usually winners, too (the hot wings = awesome drenched in delicious). Three: Fabulously cheap drinks. Big tall pints of both pale PBR and opaque Guiness. Pubs are, in essence utilitarian, and the size and price of the drinks at Streets are testament to that fact. Streets is a place with Johnny Cash in the air, mohawks at the pool tables, and usually, motorcycles and Vespas parked in an uneven clump outside the door. A little bit of Carnaby, a little bit of Colfax. Perfect.

What's there not lot love about a British bar that serves great fish and chips, offers $2 Newcastle, and lets you wash all that down with a FRIED SNICKERS bar? Seriously? Oh yeah... and their jukebox is no joke. They've got the best selection of anyone in Denver. Behind the 15th Street Tavern - which is gone - this place is my favorite.

On my whirlwind weekend tour of Denver, I was taken here on a Saturday night for what was supposed to be one quick drink. Well, one quick drink turned into four beers later because I loved this place so much that I didn't want to leave. Laid back crowd, cheap beers, attentive staff (Samantha, one of the employees, was right there every time my beer was empty meaning I never had to be booze free for too long), outdoor patio, AND an awesome jukebox. I got to play "It's Tricky" by Run DMC twice (sorry for all of you who didn't want to listen to me play it twice in the course of 2 hours)! If I was a local, I would definitely make this one of my regular drinking establishments.

  • Erin R.

One of the best bars in Denver! I love Streets. Strongbow (my favorite!) & pool (i'm HORRIBLE!) with my friends. I always have a great time here. Good drink prices. It does get crowded pretty easily, but I still love it.

  • Bob P.

The kind of place you'd expect based on the name. Pretentious enough not to be considered a dive and too narcissistic to merit much mingling. I don't find it wrong to say these things and feel like a fan, because sometimes I need a place where no one knows me and I don't want to know you, where I can grab a cheap pint and the supposed "Irish" equivalent to chili-cheese fries. I like to observe the odd little miscreants that find themselves in my line of sight long enough to steal a quick sketch or two(I like drawing people when they don't know). Take a Tuesday night out, you'll get your meters worth.

I'm not sure it's wise to admit on a public forum that I was drinking beer at 2 pm yesterday, but it's important to note because from 2:00 to 6:00 pm SOL sold me pints for $2!! TWO U.S. DOLLARS, PEOPLE! For Beamish, Newcastle, Guiness, etc. -- not PBR or Coors Light... Patio makes for good Colfax watching, hard to beat for free out-of-the-ordinary entertainment. (And for the smokers among you, there's tables with ashtrays out there: you can sit AND drink AND smoke!) And the curry fries were yummy!! But in the end, it's the $2 pints that I really fell in love with. Otherwise, it's probably a 3 star place, in all honesty.

Not a bad place to hang out most evenings. It can get a bit loud and rowdy, but what bar on Colfax doesn't? Besides that, this one has something the others don't: Deep Fried Snickers Bars. Mmmmmmm.... #LastMumbleBeforeDyingofHeartAttack

Fun place to go see bands play and hang out with your friends. They've got good prices for their drinks although I was not too happy to pay a cover to go in and see a band when I was going to buy tons of drinks that night....

  • Kali E.

Boddington's, soul night, and scooter kids. Outside seating for the warmer months. Not bad for a Colfax bar. When I lived in Denver, this was a neat place to hang out on a Thursday night. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot the most important thing: Curry Fries. Oh, yum!!!!

  • Brenda K.

The only reason I think I've frequented Streets so much is the fact that I live right across the street. It seems that no matter what bartender is working he/she always has a bad attitude. Maybe it's because I'm not tatted up like everyone else. Or maybe it's because they are homophobes. Not really sure because lesbian-owned HER Bar is on the same street, so you'd think it's a gay-friendly area. Whatever the reason, I've never felt completely welcome. But that hasn't prevented me from showing up for $2 drafts during happy hour or the sublime Bloody Mary bar on Sundays. The food isn't bad either, considering you would assume it would come floating in dirty grease or with someone's nasty hair wedged in your sandwich. The new pizza kitchen is pretty awesome and the slices are quite tasty. So, I just channel my inner wanker, put on a steely face, feed the jukebox, and work at becoming the pool shark I've always meant to be.

We went on Friday night, which coincidently was "ladies night". The bar area was too loud for my taste. As much as I don't mind the punk/emo look, they were everywhere. And I have to agree with Christina O that there are too many white people, but then again, I did just move from Atlanta.

Really dig this place. I'm originally from SF and definitely reminded of the really cool places back home. Good service, prices , and feel. It's the place where locals come to unwind.. No one from god-awful downtown/financial services. Really wanted to try the fish-n-chips, but just wasn't hungry. From the looks and smell of it, it's a winner. Next time, I'll definitely try it. They've got pool, trivia nights, and yes, a great juke box. I feel at home when I'm here.

Used to love going here when I lived in Denver. Killer jukebox as I can recall. Definitely no frills and could not be more dissimilar than the Streets of London if it tried! Brilliant for Colfax watching. I prefer it during the day for some strange reason. If I make it to Denver to visit friends I always pay it a visit.

$2 you call it Tuesdays. Otherwise, there is always a bevy of other specials including cheap PBR and other domestics. They have a covered patio in the back (for the smokers in the house) which is key in the winter. Not exactly the most comfortable and inviting dive, but very tolerable when not crowded.

decent drink specials, check. decently priced top shelf drinks because i'm getting too old for wells, check. killer juke box that rivals gabor's shh, it might even beat gabor's, check! french fries that make me wonder what yummy spices were used in their making, check. cool patrons that give you money to play the juke box and patiently wait their turn to play pool and start up friendly conversations, check, check, check. oh and it's free pool! i love this place!

One of my favorite bars in Denver. They have reasonable prices and a good staff. I think this may be the only Jukebox in Denver that has any Ween in it, and that alone is enough to keep me coming back. "Is this what Deaner was talking about?"

Stella on tap and handful of British babes as bartenders... what more can you ask for? The patio is a great place to soak up the booze. Glad I live in walking distance from this pub since I barely made it home last night after having one too many Car Bombs.

Good beer selection and great pub grub! I love the Shephard's Pie and the deep fried candy bars. The staff is great (but definitely not British), and the crowd is eclectic and interesting. I've had many a fun night here!
