It's a really nice Starbucks in Denver. Much space and plenty seating. You get everything you need.

    Mediocre coffee and mediocre food.

why is it when you ask at a starbucks if the coffee "is a light roast or dark roast", they always say 'its bold'. Bold???? Does this mean they are 'boldly' serving up an under roasted coffee?

What else can I say, it is a Starbucks.

Wow. If I ever thought I wanted kids, I definitely don't after going to this Starbucks. Every time I go here there are loads of high school students being obnoxiously loud and distracting. Not sure how many more times I can attempt going to this location before I call it quits because of the disruptive clientele. Wish I could give it a better review because the staff always seems friendly and helpful.

I have never been impressed with this Starbucks. All times I've been in, my drinks have been watery and lukewarm. The staff isn't friendly and they don't listen. I'm giving it two stars for convenience and the fact that it has good workspace but I've gotten a better latte from the Safeway.

Avoid this place around lunch. Unless you're a pedophile and like to try to pick up high school girls. This place is flooded with teenagers on their lunch from the high school nearby. It makes the whole place loud, messy and hormonal. It's a shame because it's actually one of the larger and more rustic/Colorado looking Starbucks in Denver. The baristas are prompt and kind but if you're looking for coffee and wifi I suggest going to Hooked On Colfax down the street.

This is a good location (friendly staff, nice and clean inside) except for one thing. The parking is terrible. The driving path around the building and the drive-thru line are the same thing, so if you get there when a lot of people are in line, you have to either wait or drive the wrong way to park. Other than that, good place.

Pros: 1) lots of tables 2) friendly staff 3) DRIVE THRU AVAILABLE 4) very large for a starbucks 5) plenty of seating (usually - see below) 6) a good # of plugs along the walls 7) location and parking Cons: 1) proximity to East High school. This particular location is FILLED with high school students at lunch time (between 1045am - 12pm) and then after school (145pm? 2pm? somewhere in there). They come in a swarm and leave a mess. yes. I'm becoming an ornery old woman. 2) location on Colfax. lots of transients. I've had two uncomfortable experiences during my past two visits. Last visit, the guy leaned over and rubbed the arm of my armchair which was next to my knee (i was sitting cross legged in the armchair). I packed up and left lickety split. Today, another transient was pacing in the store, throwing his books/papers onto the floor, and making everyone nervous. Not very conducive for an "office." I know there are 7 "pros" and only 2 "cons" but they're big ones. I think this location will be drive thru only for me from now on... I'll pick a different location for office space.

This was the slowest starbucks that I have been too. There was a lot of staff working but service was slow and it appeared to be without reason. My standard drink black tea lemonade seemed watered down, and flavor less. ..

As far as Starbucks goes, this is a really nice and well-maintained location. The outdoor seating is nice too. However, there's a really big problem: The Wifi is the slowest I have ever seen in any Starbucks, ever. As I am typing this, there are no more then 5 people with laptops in here, plus two more with smart phones. For a location this big, that's almost empty. But for some reason, my websites load slower than on a 14k dialup modem. It's 2014, that's just not acceptable. I really hope they toss out the crappy AT&T wifi and get the new Google Wifi that some locations already have.

I love the design of this store. It's really pretty inside and has ample work space. That said, this has to be the slowest store in town. Whether waiting in line inside or in the drive thru, it always takes forever!

  • Allie S.

This is your standard Starbucks, nothing wrong with that. However, I went with a large group of people who were craving sweets and coffee after having lunch nearby. I have to give this store props for not only being very friendly but for also quickly taking care of us and preparing our drinks promptly and correctly. It's hard for Starbucks to frequently accomplish both!

Beautiful new remodeled location and just cashed in my birthday drink! 2 blocks away from my house but the drive through gets super busy. Park and walk in, it will save you time. Try there iced coffees for a nice pick me up

A dark haired barista wearing glasses ruined our day today. From the dirty looks to the tiny squirt of whipped cream for our puppy - who was SO disappointed - I'm surprised Starbucks keeps a woman like that around. Poor performance.

What can I say that already hasn't been said about this great location? I guess I can say ANNA!!! Anna, among most of the other staff, is absolutely amazing. Anna in particular though, has been the greatest and friendliest since I have been coming to this location. The efficiency of their staff and the great seating is what keeps me coming here. There is a location much closer to my house, but somehow they always mess up my order, or are really unpleasant in general. I have never had that experience at this location, and for that I THANK you guys!! You make my mornings!!

I love this 'Bucks! I've only been here during the early morning and in the afternoon and despite it's location, it's quite relaxed and cozy. I'm always expecting it to be packed since it's right on Colfax but I've never had to wait too long whether it's in the drive through (they love my dog and are super quick with a drink) or when I go inside. The employees are freakishly nice too, always asking how my day is going which can sometimes be a loaded question. The best part is the couches if you can snag a spot, they are so luxuriously comfortable that I just want to be "that girl" and hog the entire thing for myself. This location is always clean and if you really wanted, you could have a party in the bathroom since the onesies are that big! All in all, a great Starbucks to stop at if you're in a hurry or wanting to relax and enjoy a beverage.

Slowest drive thru on this planet. Avoid if you are in a hurry and don't mind waiting for 20+ minutes. Writing this as I have waited 23 minutes for a small cup of coffee.

Another Starbucks review - I'm half tempted to create a Starbucks list. Could be a very long list if I made it. I love this Barn looking Starbucks for the drive thru and the friendly staff. I've had the pleasure of taking this route downtown all this week for a particular reason that will be divulged in my 500th review (the next one) and I've needed some pick me ups. Starbucks to the rescue. Great coffee, and very fast hot breakfast sandwiches. Oh Starbucks how I love thee even on a hot Summer day.

It is pretty seldom that I would give a Starbucks a 5 star review, but they really impressed me here. Not with the coffee, which was standard Starbucks good, but with the service. I usually get good service at a Bux, but how they handle problems really seems to be the moment of reckoning. I had a free item earned on my Starbucks card. Instead of a drink, I figured I would get a sandwich for later (since they have them here). They were out of the one I wanted, so I went with a different one. They were out of that one too, and made some other suggestions. None of them excited me, and that could have been that. But, they really went the extra mile to apologize for not having what I wanted in stock. They offered me a bakery item as way of compensation, and that was much appreciated. They also proactively offered me "puppuchinos" for my dogs (whipped cream in a cup). The dogs thought this was very cool. From the moment I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker, to the minute I left the parking lot, I had very positive dealings with extremely friendly employees. I wish more places offered this level of service.

Starbucks is pretty standardized in it's product -- but this one deserves a great review because of the staff. Every time I've driven through this drive-thru, I've had the most friendly interactions. They are entertaining and pleasant!

This was the worst starbucks I have been to. We were the 4th car in line at the drive through...18 minutes later we got our coffees. The drip coffee was cold by this time and the latte was a bit warmer, but tasted very watered down, despite having whole milk. Will use the one on colorado, even though there is no drive through.

Starbucks is Starbucks right? No and Yes. This one looks like a barn (I call it "The Barn") but sure doesn't feel like a barn, it feels like a Starbucks. They have a great outdoor seating area for the non-vampire types that like to suck up the rays as they suck up some java. "The Barn" has a busy drive thru. Well, at least in the morning before 8:00am - expect a wait. Otherwise this place is super convenient. The only other caffeine fix better might be at the hospital down the street if you ask for it through an IV. PS - I guess I am a jerk for liking drive thrus...in my SUV even. :)

I really like this starbucks. I am new to the neighborhood so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this place, but the staff is really friendly. The drive-thru wait an be a little long at times, but it's well worth the wait especially in the winter.

  • Willa C.

This used to be my morning coffee 'barn'. In the morning be prepared to leave early if you want to get your coffee here. On a daily basis last winter I waited in their drive thru line for 5-15 minutes every morning just to avoid the cold and it was the only drive thru that was actually on my drive to work. 90% of the time they got my order right -- and when there was a mistake they almost always corrected it nicely. The staff has always been pretty good. They don't try to talk to you too much at 7:30 am or hold up the line with conversation. They are friendly, get you your order, and you are on your way. Hooray!

Great sips, eats and gabs. Consistently goooooood coffee served with friendly quickness. Pasteries and breakfast sands are fresh and hit the spot. Sunday mornings are bustling with lil' communities talking, reading & laptoping.

I leave my SUV at home cause I can walk here pretty quick, but I drive to the Starbucks on Colorado Blvd, burning gas and spewing carbon, yeah baby! But I digress... this is a decent place to get some coffee and get some work done. I go here cause it's close, the coffee is good, and I can't hook up to the internet, which means I might stand a chance of getting some work done. The interior is pretty cool for an Sbucks, they have the usual tables, plus some nice leather couches and chairs. The interior is really big with high ceilings. The staff is friendly but sometimes they rock the stereo too loud and seem to be having a good old time, usually just around shift changes when there are a bunch of them there. No worries. Also the scenery is pretty decent, with a mix of folk from City Park to Congress Park neighborhoods. Lots of electrical outlets, but oddly they are above the windows, so just step up on a chair and plug in. PS If you're a regular to Starbucks get a gift card, then register it on-line. You get lots of perks like a free tall drink (any) when you buy a bag of beans, and other 'perks'. You can also get 2 hours a day of free ATT wi-fi. I didn't sign up seeing as how ATT aided and abetted illegal wire tapping. Plus I like to keep off-line here to get some work done. Dang internet! I just can't keep away from lolcats! ;^)

This Starbucks looks like a barn. As far as this chain goes, I like this location. It is never slamming busy. They might be in the morning, but I'm not there that early to say. In the afternoon and evening it's always low key. There's plenty of seating inside and plenty outside. You could go through the drive thru with your big SUV if you're too lazy to go inside, you jerk.

Yeah, yeah, I know. You can judge all you want, but I do genuinely like Starbucks. And I genuinely like this Starbucks because it is near where I live (ten minute walk, roughly, depending how fast I am crazy-running across Colfax) and it has saved me when my wifi has gone down for days - nay, WEEKS (at least it felt like) - at a time. So, really, this Starbucks is a savior if you really think about it. Besides the proximity, the staff is very friendly. It's spacious. Its main windows (er, entrance) faces just south enough to not get the sunset in your eyes when you are busy on The Facebook. Er, tweeting. Er, studying? Job-browsing? Doing something responsible. I have actually only been inside here during the late afternoon/early evening, but there always seems to be other people here which is great because I am insecure that I am taking up space in this world without giving much back. So, thanks, Starbucks, for being there for me and expecting very little in return. Even though you are shaped like a barn. Which I actually like. Even though it reminds me that I am not supporting the local coffee businesses because I am, in fact, a sheep every time I walk through those doors. Heart you, though.

This Starbuck's is the slowest one I've ever been to. It always always takes forever. They usually mess my order up after waiting in the drive thru line for 20 min or so I usually just end up drinking the wrong drink instead of having time to get it replaced. The only reason it gets two stars is for the staff being very friendly.

  • Nic Z.

This place is pretty darn cute! Parking is a bit odd but not terrible, and the inside is nice. There aren't a whole lot of outlets, and I kept having a creepy old dude sit next to me (every time I thought he was gone, he would come back again!), but I'd gladly come back to work here again.

  • Rachel S.

The staff really is great at this Starbucks. Very friendly, kind, have often been complimentary (who doesn't like hearing they look nice while grouchily ordering caffeine to make it through the long work day ahead?), and make a mean espresso drink. The drive through line is definitely a perk, though I have found between 7 - 8 am one would be better off parking and running inside - the lines can be really long.

  • Eddie H.

Cafe closes at 8 on Friday even though the drive-thru is open until 9. No hours posted so you buy a cup and they kick you out. Booo! The "Starbucks way" would be "we're locking the doors since the lobby closes at 8. But you're welcome to finish your drink... no hurry. We're open til 9".

  • Chris M.

I've ended up at this Starbucks randomly and I have to say it's always a welcome surprise. The staff is friendly, it's huge with lots of seating and my coffee always comes out just right. They also have a very large assortment of pastries, sometimes things you don't see at the other Denver locations. The only bad this is the parking lot..It's a big strange and I'm always worried I'm going to back up into the cars that are parked oddly behind the angled parking. I'm sure it's just very prime real estate so they had to jam them in however the spaces would fit.
