This place is awesome! One of my coworkers was ecstatic that a location opened up in metro Denver, so we tried it out for lunch. Their food is like any sandwich you would expect from Subway or Quizno's, with the bonus that they toast the majority of their sandwiches as a standard. Their shakes are satisfying and proportioned well so they won't make you feel sick to your stomach. Even though there was a line when we went in, they got us through the line in a jiffy without making us feel rushed. If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to pick up a Chocolate Brownie cookie. It is to die for. I may or may not have blocked off a half hour of my day just to savor it... Their catering service is amazing, as well. I ordered from them for a lunch meeting and offered a small window so I could sneak out and bring the food in, and they delivered on the dot. It was a large order so the delivery man helped me bring the food up and although the meeting was on-going, he was very courteous about unpacking everything quietly and sneaking out without distracting everyone. Their service, both in the store and out, is superb, and that is what will keep me coming back.

One of my friends who was born and raised in the Chicago area raved about Potbelly. What a coincidence, one just opened up not far from my house! Usually I go to Fat Jacks for my sandwich fix, but the location near home has gone downhill. I wanted to try something new and create a new sandwich home base. I arrived at Potbelly around 7 PM and the place was practically empty so I didn't have to wait in line long. I decided to try the tuna salad sandwich on their regular bread. I added all the veggies including their very own signature hot pepper mix. I also grabbed a bag of Zapps. They are a delicious brand of New Orleans style potato chips and I have not seen them anywhere else in Colorado! I was tempted to get a milkshake because I have heard good things, but passed this time. My sandwich was soooo good! The bread was perfectly toasted and I loved the hot peppers(they sell them by the jar of you are interested). The service was fine, I think it's your typical group of high schoolers working back there but they did a pretty good job! I have been there twice since my first visit and it's consistent every time.

Glad to see this place open up in the area. Had the Pizza and the Mediterranean and have been pleasantly surprised both times. The sandwiches are perfect in size so you don't feel like you just gorged yourself. The pickles are outstanding as well!

Awesome place to go. I'm so happy we now have locations in Colorado. I loved going here back in Chicago. The food is always good and everything is consistent. Not too expensive and a good lunch spot.

I had never eaten at a Potbelly and thought I would stop in and have a sandwich while I knocked off some work. I will start with the sandwich. I love heated sandwiches and mine was very good and VERY reasonably priced. I didn't have any chips or anything else, so all I can comment on is the sandwich. Now to the work...I ALMOST lowered my rating to 3 stars because the internet was SO PAINFULLY slow that I couldn't get any work done. I would go back for food...but I would not recommend going there if you need to get on the internet and get work done.

Quick and good sandwiches and soup. I like that there is a "skinny" menu now. I usually get tuna or a veggie sandwich. My husband gets turkey and roast beef. They offer whole wheat and white bread. Solid place for a quick lunch or dinner. Service is always good. I like their hot peppers.

I was super upset that I finally let myself go to Potbelly (one of my favs for lunch back on the East Coast) only to discover this one doesn't sell the pasta or potato salad. Apparently, they are new and don't carry everything. Also, and I don't fault her for this, but I decided to not even get a sandwich because the girl who would make it for me had a nose that was all runny and gross. I wasn't into getting her cold/ snot. Maybe on sick days, new or not, employees shouldn't be front and center. So, I didn't get anything there and probably won't be going back. That Potbelly pasta salad is my craving. They need it! And, I'm not into germs from unknown folks with my lunch.

We stopped in here today amidst moving. It seemed great, and our sandwiches were just fine- but they were a bit bland. We were excited when we walked in because it seemed like a mix between Jimmy John's and local Snarfs, but with low prices. We will probably stop back by again, and maybe try something different, but then again, maybe not. But- the dream bar? Amazing.

Went into the restaurant... there is a lot going on in here. Lotta color, small booths, a friendly tye-dye dressed guy who was wearing a tag that declared his name was "Bacon"... at least that's what I thought until later when I saw another guy behind the counter with the same badge saying "& bacon".... Limited menu items actually made it pretty easy to pick what to eat. I went with "A wreck", and had it in hand in less than 5 minutes. The line is efficient. Everyone is friendly. My sandwhich had a lot of flavor, but nothing about the sandwhich stood out as phenomenal. A job well done, really was the jist of Potbelly's.

Some things never taste like home. :( I'm from Chicago, so I almost fell over when I saw the Potbelly sign on the window! I went in and ordered my usual A Wreck and chocolate malt. My chocolate malt didn't have malt, so I had to reorder that. Kind of an easy/silly mistake. Also, this is small, but they don't put the little flower cookies on the malts, even though it's in the pics on the ordering board. That's how I've remembered it from home. I ordered everything on the sandwich but hot peppers; there isn't any oil and seasoning on this at all. I don't have the time to order another one. The sandwich overall just doesn't have the oomph as back home. Feels like more condiments than meat/cheese. Not really happy to say that I might not be back.

Was it the best sandwich I've ever had? No. Was it the best $4.60 sandwich I ever had? Yes it was. Toasted sammies, nice staff, good veggies and dressing. They have their own chips too, kettle type. Ham and swiss, can't got wrong.

I am leary of high-priced, fast casual, but this place offers a good value. The sandwiches are a good portion - you will probably want to take the other half home for lunch tomorrow. The patio is small, but out of the way and quiet. I prefer it over other sandwich chains, such as Jimmy Johns or Firehouse Subs. I haven't checked the calories on these sandwiches, probably because they are too good and don't want to know. I expected to see a large pot belly stove after reading about their antiquing heritage in Chicago, and thought it was a little sad that they added a tiny (token) stove - a bit schticky.

Quick, close to home, easy and best of all TASTY! We went for a quick lunch this afternoon - chicken salad sandwich is so good. The hot pepper add ons were so so good, too. They have Zapp's potato chips, which are freaking awesome. The prices are great, too. My sandwich was under five dollars! Yum!!

This used to be a Schlotzski's. Their sandwiches are good. They are setup like Quiznos and taste like Snarf's. They had a wind instrument player there but in such a small space I felt that it was too loud. I couldn't hold a conversation. Price is decent and the decor is nice. Will go back for sure.

Just as good as snarfs but faster and cheaper! The guys read the ingredients to the sandwich I ordered off the same board I was reading, it was funny, but the place is new so I would probably do the same thing!

Good sandwich at a pretty decent price! Everyone is super friendly and the restaurant itself is nice and clean! But parking sucks.

Don't miss this Chicago favorite. I am from Chicago and was so happy to see the familiar Potbelly store. LOVE the T-K-Y. Do yourself a favor and splurge on a milkshake or malted. Store was clean and staff was friendly. Welcome to Denver Potbelly!

The turkey and Swiss on thin bread is so good! Their gardeneria is awesome and they sell it in jars. Can't beat the milkshakes either!

Got a Mediterranean sandwich and it was okay. Also got a Dream Bar and it was okay. Sandwiches are reasonably sized and priced. I'll probably go back and try some of their other sandwiches which sound loaded with meat, or their salads which appear to have tasty dressings. Fairly interesting decor with old Colorado photos, etc. Read they're supposed to have live music on occasions but not this time.

It's still pretty rough around the edges (amazing how often sandwiches get lost in the short stretch of the toaster conveyor), but what I hadn't realized was just how good a value their sandwiches are compared with other shops. I still think Snarf's is better, but Potbelly is just a bit behind it in quality, almost half the price, and vastly better than Subway or other similar shops. It would be nice if they had a little more variety, and didn't have the emphasis on heavy sandwiches, but it's a good stop for a good meal. Their cookies are good (soft and under-baked), their soups are not. All in all, a nice neighborhood option.

I started going to Potbelly when there was only one of them, in Lincoln Park (Chicago). I have been muscling through other, lesser sandwiches since I moved from Chicago. I live Potbelly so much I looked into franchise rights when I moved to Denver in 2000. I'm so beyond ecstatic that Potbelly has arrived. Now we just need a Mr Beef. And a Yaksies.and a Wrigleyville Dogs. And Via Carducci. And toast....

The sandwich I got was good (the pizza sandwich) but the customer service was SO GOOD that I will be back. Talk about nice people (and they were teenagers, too!). I will definitely be back!

Hey - this is a pretty good sandwich shop. I wasn't wowed, tho. Actually, their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies were freaking great. Try those.

Good stuff-I had the tuna the first time I went and the tuna was fresh and very good. Second time I had a ham and cheddar on multigrain bread and a sugar cookie ice cream sandwich all very good. I love the inside decor and everyone is pretty cheery and friendly.

Friendly and Attentive. Great food! We went in 45 minutes before they opened (door was unlocked and we didn't see the hours on the door). They greeted us and said "Welcome, we can definitely make some sandwiches for you two!" Other places would shoo you out, not these guys! Such a great experience and we will go back for sure!!!

Great toasted subs and tasty shakes. Bread is fresh and makes the sandwich better than your usual chain. Sub options are not as creative as some other places, like Planet Sub. Line moved fast and they have a lot of seating. Try a shake while you are there!

Great service. I was really impressed with the salesmanship of the guy at the counter, who talked me into a shake. Sandwhiches were good, and had great flavor.

Potbelly has finally arrived in Denver. Those from Chicagoland already know, but for the uninitiated: you're missing out. It's like Snarf's, but even better. Add made to order shakes and malts, along with house baked cookies, and you've got magic. Get a Wreck and a shake or cookie, and you'll never look back.

Love this chain. Great sandwiches and a cool atmosphere. The employees are always overly friendly. Had an Italian sandwich, OREO shake, and was treated to some live entertainment in thr form of a guitar player. Great lunch spot.

This was my first time trying Potbelly, and I did not have a positive experience. At first all was well, I was picking up an order for 8 and delivering lunch to a large client of mine. The ordering process went smooth, and my food was ready at the time we agreed on when I placed my order. When I arrived however, I wasn't greeted by anyone behind the counter but rather stood there while an employee took a phone order without even looking me in the eyes. When I asked another employee if he could help me, he said he would go grab someone who could... After waiting a couple of minutes (and watching this employee talk on the phone) a man came up to help but was having difficulty 'logging in' to the POS system. After 5-6 minutes of standing there I told him I had already paid for me food and was just here to pick up my bag and go. He tracked down my order and sent me on my way, which at this point would have warranted 4 stars. However when I arrived at my destination I realized they had forgotten one of the lunch orders (just so happened to be my clients wife's salad, great). I called and spoke with the same gentleman who gave me my food, and confirmed that they had forgotten a salad. I told him what a huge meeting this was, and how I needed the missing salad delivered ASAP. He informed me that they couldn't be there with the salad for 2 HOURS because there were other deliveries scheduled in front of me. I asked, "did you screw there orders up also?!" He apologized and said he would move me up the list and get it delivered as soon as possible. Two hours later, still no salad delivery. I finally received word at 3pm from my client (I picked my order up at 11:45) that the salad arrived. Not a good look for me, will not use again!

I don't want to seem like 3 stars is bad here, but to me these sandwiches are a solid good. Not better, not worse. I like that they're quick, and customer service has always been great. Nice to have some dessert options too. I'll frequent this place because it's close and the price is right, but the sandwiches to me are nothing extraordinary. Solidly in the wide range of a snarfs, firehouse, which wich, etc. Better than subway, but not out of this world. I think they do have a singer every once and a while too, was a nice touch to go along with lunch!

I used to go to Potbelly fairly often when on business in the midwest. After a quick workout, I was excited to see that we now have one (maybe more) in Colorado! Potbelly sandwiches are fantastic! Meats are great, toppings are plentiful, and the hot peppers are SO good! Prices are very reasonable, and preparation is very fast. I look forward to stopping in more often! Advice: Get a shake! They are SO good and they put a little cookie on the straw!

Checking in on Potbelly a few weeks after they opened to see how things "settled down" after the initial adrenalin rush was over. GM Laura greeted me by name again and gave me extra special service. This time I had their "Wreck" sandwich - salami, roast beef, swiss cheese and a handful of other ingredients. I was asked how many of about 10 optional ingredients I wanted; I opted for light mayo, Italian seasoning and the "hot pepper mix", which is jalapenos diced up with some other things. It really pulls the "Wreck" together into something shipshape. Just my .05. I also grabbed a "Dream Bar" - which looks like a densely packed "brownie"-ish confection -- except it's not totally chocolate. Don't think it's a blondie, will have to report back later on how that was. The place was sparkling clean, tables were cleaned promptly and there was always someone "scanning" around for spots to clean. He'd make a good Robocop. Potbelly also have delivery action going on now, which is probably going to help them in the long run. The one issue I did have was with their wi-fi. It shows up on my phone as full strength, but switching to it (repeated attempts) made my Pandora drop out, inform me my "wi-fi connection was unstable", and wouldn't let me pan through my Yelp reviews. Not sure if it's my phone or the network, but it was a little problematical, especially since the place is a signal sinkhole where if you're lucky you'll get 3G. But I'm not rating this place on its reception qualities, I'm rating it on taste, service, cleanliness and value...and I don't see any reason to really dock them a star...so once again, they merit 5 stars. I think their average is gonna pull up to 4 stars over time, once the 2 reviews with 0 friends, 5 reviews or less a piece and 0 check-ins get filtered out...(but that's pure conjecturing on my part).

After hearing great things about this sandwich shop, I was finally in the area and ready to give it a try. The sandwich itself was not huge, but a good size for a normal sized human being. And for only $4.95 after tax, it was even better. And the most important part... It tasted wonderful! I asked if they could substitute the lettuce with Spinach and the guy was more than happy to run in the back and grab some Spinach to put on my salad. I got all of the other toppings on my sandwich as well and I don't regret it one bit! The peppers were hot enough to taste but not hot enough to ruin the flavor of the sandwich. I'm already planning my next meal here it was so good. Looking forward to trying one of their salads next time I am here!

Once upon a time I used to live near the original Potbelly. (It's not plural!!). And now, many years later, I see that it followed me west! After all this time, the Wreck remains my favorite, I like the shakes, and I sometimes crave the ice cream sandwiches. The only real problem I have with this location is the temperature of the restaurant. It's freezing every time I'm here and it makes it super uncomfortable where I either need to sit outside or take it to go. This needs to get fixed!

The customer service was good I ordered a vanilla milkshake with strawberry and also a cup of broccoli and cheddar soup me and my friend split a turkey and provolone sandwich we really couldn't taste the cheese but the milkshake was definitely popping..... Maybe I'll return and try a different sandwich and have a better result.....
