I love this place...it's a total hole in the wall but the food is great. I always get the same thing hummus and fresh squeezed carrot juice. You have to make sure you put their awesome lemon juice on the hummus or it's definitely not as good. Also it's close to DU said you are a student it's perfect

Food was just ok, but their pita bread was excellent. That's all I have to say. There was just one person taking orders and cooking too, so it took a while to get food.

I think it must be a front or something as this was the worst falafel I have ever had. It was buy out falafel, I swear. It had no flavor or authentic spices. Strange menu. Not sure how this place is surviving, the market for middle eastern food in this area is more than saturated, hence the front suspicion.

Well....not the kind of food you would expect for "fresh" Mediterranean. I ordered the hummus salad to go. There was no one else in there except for one employee sitting at one of the tables playing on her iPhone, which made me weary. When I opened my food, I felt....sad. The dullest looking plate of Mediterranean food ever. Just some plain chopped ice berg lettuce and a few veggies w hummus & chicken. And the flavor...what flavor?? I actually didn't end up eating it after tasting a couple bites. Waste of $10. It just looked & tasted so NOT tasty that I couldn't eat it, it kind of scared me. Wish I would've seen reviews before going in.

Pita Fresh definitely lives up to what they are selling. The food is good, healthy (for the most part) and fast for a neighborhood restaurant in the DU area. One quirk unique to this restaurant is that when you visit, you are almost guaranteed some kind of drama. Each time I've been to Pita Fresh for a quick bite, either in or outside of the restaurant someone is having a bad day. So, if you don't mind emotionally charged people and enjoy good Mediterranean and Lebanese street food - grab a falafel sandwich sometime. You'll like it!

Kitchen is rather unclean and ingredients taste like they have been left out too long....Pita sandwiches are not presented well: they are impossible to eat as a handhold and end up spilling everywhere--the Spartan tables and chairs exacerbates this problem...Am giving this place two stars instead of one because there are not a lot of options in this neighborhood for 3 a.m. fast food

Pita Fresh is one of a few local Arab quick-serve restaurants in the DU area. They certainly have fresh hot pita bread (which is excellent). However they aren't too fast at making your food. Their greek salad isn't greek, and is rather just a house salad, but is good nonetheless. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends!

PitaFresh is awesome. The pies are amazing, b/c the dough is so fresh. Falafel is by far the best around. Gotta try the Avocado & Honey juice. Love this place

Very good food and a nice alternative to the usual fast food. I was on my way to Jimmy Johns when I stumbled on this place. I thought hey give a smaller less popular business a chance. I am glad I did, and it costs as much as Jimmy Johns would have been. I loved the falafel in my wrap it was delicately crunchy on the outside and soft with some very good spices on the inside. I hope this restaurant thrives.

Pretty horrible experience. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Pita. The garlic was so overpowering I only ate the top of the pita and the bits of chicken not covered in sauce. What a waste. The place is kind of dirty too.

I only live a block away from this place, so I decided to try it out. I ordered the fallafel plate which I opted to get two sides of hummus with pita. The falafel was dry and the hummus was given in the smallest portions. The entire dish was something I could have made better myself. The only positive on the plate was the warm pita. I will not be going back to that place again. It would be more worth my time to drive to Garbanzo on Colorado Blvd the next time I want fast but quality Mediterranean.

Pita is fresh but the rest of the meal was lacking. Especially for the price you can do much better. Small portions, bland food, indifferent service. I'd give it a one star but the pita was good.

My friend and I decided to try this place. When we discovered we were the July customers in the restaurant we got a little worried. The food was decent. I feel like there was nothing special about this place and far to expensive for the little amount of food you get. We left not even full...

I love this place! We moved to the neighborhood right around the time that this place opened, and I'm so thankful we found it. I'm not Lebanese, so I can't really comment on the "authenticity" of this place, but I can say that when I want something fresh and quick for take-out, this is always one of my top picks. They make your pita fresh (haha...pita fresh) when you order, and it's wonderful to dip a nice warm pita into their homemade hummus or babaganoush. My husband and I usually get one of their shwarma platters (both chicken and steak are wonderful) and I always ask for extra garlic sauce. Falafel is excellent and their salads are also great. Again, if you're looking for seriously authentic Lebanese or Mediterranean food, I'm not the person to ask. But if you're looking for something quick, tasty, fresh and different for dinner, this is a great option. I'm sure there are more authentic sit-down places in the area, but for what I want, this is perfect.

I could make better at home. They have small portions and i got the chicken shwarma in a flour tortillas. and there was a guy there being very rude to the girl taking my order he also worked there.

If you're bored with your usual burrito or wrap, try Pita Fresh for a nicely seasoned, Mediterranean alternative. Their wraps are a wonderful consistency -- thinner than a flour tortilla, but still enough substance to hold the ingredients. The Beef Shwarma wrap had a nice, exotic flavor - maybe tumeric? While very tasty, if you're hungry, go for the combo option that comes with fries. They also serve "pita pies," like a thin crust pizza, and very tasty. A pie is more than enough for one person! Try the Beef Pie with ground beef, spices and onions. I liked the Banana Strawberry smoothie, but in this case, I was hoping for something a little thicker and richer. Next time, I'm going to try the Avocado Honey and ask for an extra scoop of each ingredient.

Wow, absolutely terrible experience. It was hard to read the menu to order sides on the pita that I ordered, once I was ready the lady at the front was on the phone for ~5 minutes, we ordered baklava (this was a takeout order) and we didn't get with our food, when I called to tell them they didn't pick up the phone the first try. The food was ok, there are better places around it that would not have that poor of an experience. It should also be noted that we were the only people in there during this whole 20 minute ordeal and they still screwed it up.

I stood at the front counter for 10 minutes while the 2 guys working here were making an order and having a loud conversation in a different language with a bunch of their friends waiting for that order. The few times I actually got them to make eye contact they flat ignored me and continued what they were doing. No clue on the food, I got fed up after the shit service. Not trying it again.

Terrible food - hard, dry bits of chicken, cold/stiff pita, limp lettuce. Had the chicken shwarma pita - yuck ! Cook/cashier/waiter - wore the same gloves to wipe tables, make change at register, put together food.

Almost okay. A bit amateurish service but can be tolerable. I wish their tinder chicken was better cocked.

I had the misfortune of eating here earlier, and I've been kicking myself ever since for not having gone the extra few blocks to the Jerusalem Restaurant, or to Damascus Restaurant when I drove past it. The service was basically OK, but the food was actually pretty bad. The hummus tasted like something from a prepackaged mix, the rice was meh and the chicken shawarma was actually fatty and kind of ick. Even the baklava was dry and mostly tasteless. Everything came with a garlic dipping sauce that was essentially nothing but pure garlic on steroids. While I like garlic, this was overpowering to the point I could only manage the smallest bite - and that stayed with me to the point of nausea. You want to know the most pathetic part of this story? That garlic sauce was so overwhelming that my skin is now reeking of garlic - After One Tiny Bite. The general gist of this story is that you can easily find a better Mediterranean restaurant, even in the immediate vicinity. If you should go against your better judgment and actually try this place, please, for the love of humanity, don't go near the garlic dipping sauce. The only reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one - for the time being - is that my friend thought the broasted chicken was OK. I'm now going to soak in a bath and see if I can stop permeating garlic. Wish me luck.

Unfortunately I went there last night. I was the first one at PITA FRESH, I ordered beef kabob plate, tabbouleh , avocado juice. I got my order after 10 min. after I finished my beef kabob plate. I went to ask for my Tabbouleh but the lady told me "SORRY " we do not have Tabbouleh but she charged me for it. I got the worst avocado juice. I do not know whats going on with them. They missed up the whole think after being the best in the last two months. I do not recommend it anymore unless they solve there problem. I had put my receipt. they paid back the Tabbouleh.

Being in this place at midnight on a Saturday night got weird quickly. While we were lucky they were still serving food at that hour, that is where the luck ended! Our order was taken by a disillusioned (read: rude) guy in a questionably bright, patterned vest (oddly identical to Seth Rogen's best friend in the movie "Knocked Up"). Our group ordered the falafel wrap with fries, the cheese pizza, and the zatar pizza (the zatar is cheaper than the cheese pizza which naturally made us very curious). We took our order to go and immediately fell in love with the cheese pizza. While the falafel wrap was lacking falafel, the zatar was an extra odd specimen, so we phoned the restaurant to determine what ingredients made up the sandy/spicy topping. They would not tell us, so we hastily threw the zatar into the bushes for someone else to enjoy and spent dinner looking up zatar on Wikipedia. WIN!

Best food in town, open late to people hungry at night. Their burger is very good and their fried chicken is delicious.

Don't do it. Everything tastes off the two times I went here, and the third time I left before ordering because there was a pile of raw chickens sitting in the back, unrefrigerated, just sitting there. Noooo no no no no.

The falafel here is so good. It's the best I've ever had! I always go here when I want good Mediterranean food. The pita sandwich are really good as well, you can't go wrong by eating here.

This place is far from a good restaurant. The service and cleanliness of the is terrible. First off coming into the restaurant the lady at the counter did not even care to say hello. After the order was placed when my boyfriend and I went to go get our drink the soda was completely watered down and there was no straws laying next to the soda machine and the lids were just scattered on the counter. The food came and it was very greasy. There was no sauces on my table or any other table at that in the entire restaurant. All the ketchup bottles were empty. Throwing the trash away was even a problem. There was an entire pile of trays and food stacked up and the owner just stood next to it and did nothing about it. I had to move the trays and throw the trash away just to throw mine out. If the owners are lazy to maintain where their customers eat it makes me wonder whether they care enough to maintain the kitchen the food is made in.

I really like this place, they are very friendly with your specifications if you had. Reasonable prices, nice taste. This is a great choice of Lebanese dinner at a very night visit. Thank you Pita Fresh.

I can not comment on the food of this place as I was so grossed out that I couldn't even order it. When I walked in, the guy was sitting on the food prep counter with his shoes on. Seriously, that should be some health code violation.

Pita Fresh, you can do better but for now you only have 2 SOLID stars in my books, though I wish, YELP will allow half stars for future reviews. Actually our experience is more like 2.5 stars... Was here with N, for an EARLY LUNCH. We were at Pita Fresh way before 10:50hrs. I ever recall they mentioned somewhere that Pita Fresh is opened at 10:30hrs. I even call Pita Fresh the day before we went there to confirm their opening hours. The OPEN sign was not lighted up, but we decide to head up to the front door and see how things went. This was on THURSDAY August 23rd 2012. The door was opened, we entered and 1 of the staffs from Pita Fresh, greeted us. We choose our seats, decide to go thru the simple menu while the staffs try to organize what they need to do in the kitchen etc etc.. We ordered and pay our food at the counter. From what I could recall these were what we ordered that morning : * Beef Shawarma Wrap ($6.99) + Combo = Fries + Drinks ($2.49) * Chicken Shawarma Pie ($7.45) * Soda ($1.69) This establishment was kept clean. The decor is simple and SO BRIGHT with YELLOW and GREEN paint. About 7 to 10 minutes after ordering, our food was ready. For the price, its looks slightly small to some. Now for the taste of the food, its just "MEH". The Beef Shawarma was lacking of flavor, nothing stellar nothing spectacular. The fries was over-salted for my tastebud. At least the food came out piping hot. Now for the Chicken Shawarma Pie, its just like a PIZZA filled with chicken pieces BUT LOADED with HOT SAUCE of some kind... Err, I thought this was a Mediterranean, Middle Eastern "FAST FOOD" establishment??? N was quite disappointed with her order of Chicken Shawarma Pie. I brought home the leftover of Chicken Shawarma Pie, but to my surprise Hubs like it... Hmmm.. I might return with Hubs and perhaps see how my review might differ and perhaps order more from their simple menu. Come early if you can coz the parking space outside this establishment is limited. Above anything else, I wish Pita Fresh best wishes for their future undertakings, and hope their business venture will prosper many more years to come. Definitely Many More Room For Improvement, Pita Fresh. @119/2012

Pita fresh lives up to its name. You will get a freshly made pita. Everything else however, In Chef Ramsey's words" what a shame". The rice was dry but edible. The Greek salad was on the fresh side (remarkably,) the 4 strips of steak-um thin meat i got on my plate were almost translucent. Definitely a front for something suspicious going on in the back. From the very suspicious looking characters lurking around the restaurant (in and out). I'm giving it 2 stars cause i didn't get sick or die after eating here.
