Hadn't been to the Piper in years, so we decided to stop in while on this side of town for lunch. Their Asian wings were just as I remembered them, large, juicy and covered in an Asian sauce that is out of this world. The waitresses & bartender are all very attentive to your needs and have a great attitude. Not much else to say about this short visit. Twenty wings, some drinks and a laid back atmosphere, a great end to a strenuous morning. Very glad we decided to stop in and reminisce a bit. Keep on keeping on Piper, great job!

First off, don't let the motorcycles in front of the restaurant fool you. Some people may get scared, some people may be intimidated, but this isn't the case at all! The people (including the staff) are extremely welcoming. The bikers, they are there to have a good time, just like me and you - don't judge a book by its cover! Pretty decent patio as well, doesn't get to hot and doesn't get too cold. They have a pretty nice set up for that. Now, let's get to the good stuff, the WINGS! Being the wing connoisseur that I am, when a place prides themselves off of their wings, I HAVE to go there and judge for myself. Well... as many times as I have had them, I have NEVER been disappointed. They are a good size, juicy, and full of flavor. They are definitely some of the best wings in Denver (definitely in my top 3). This is one of those places where you go out of your way just to get their wings. Yes, I have done it before and I will do it again. For you people that don't eat "meat on a bone" they have excellent Chinese food too! Yes, I said it, Chinese food. Is it bizarre, yes. But don't knock it til you try it! Piper Inn, you are definitely in the best of the best category for wings. 5 Stars!

I dislike the atmosphere, but damn those wings are good. The bartenders are pros and make me delicious concoctions when all I say is 'fruity' & 'yummy'. I wouldn't go alone because its a biker bar but with friends its a fun place. The restrooms are pretty bad tho.

Fun bar to meet friends at and I try to get there as often as possible. Casual atmosphere and the bikers are all good people just like us. Best Asian wings! But the wings can be messy in company so I get the Asian Chicken Salad. Boneless wings on a bed of lettuce. Love it!

Good wings. Service sucks. Waited for 20 minutes to pay my check. When I brought the money to the waitress and said something I was told "you suck" by the waitress that they were really busy. But they weren't too busy to be doing shots behind the bar. Needless to say no tip and I won't be back. Which really is upsetting since I think they have the best wings in town.

Just got the chance to go in again today after a long while. Place was busy and the service was ON IT. Special mention to Kacee. She was all over her customers to make sure they had all they needed. Food came out quick! Drinks were refilled ASAP. And she's darn good looking with a fantastic personality. What more can a wing lover ask for in life?! The Turbo Asian were amazing as always. Pipers Inn is the one constant in my universe. Thanks to everyone there. Don't change a thing!

Whoever likes these Chinese style wings has never indulged in the real thing. They came out luke warm, hard and tasted like a salt lick. Didn't make it through two of them and the waitress didn't bat an eye when we asked for our check and the plate was full.

I was really hesitant to go in here. I was having work done on my car, so I decided to walk over because I know they have good wings here. I was really unsure of the whole biker bar scene. I had a really nice waitress who knew a lot of regulars by name. It seems that a lot of repeat customers really like the Piper Inn. I kind of felt like I was a lady priority to the wait staff because I am a female by myself, and the flirtatious male clientele were taken care of much better than I was. I was bummed about being the last priority because I always leave a good tip. I did enjoy the wings, I liked both flavor that they had. The waitress was really nice and knowledgeable about suggesting things. I'm not a drinker, and I just came here because I was already next door doing car service. I might come back here in the future, I'm just not sure if this particular scene is excellent for some people to dine in.

On the front sign of The Piper Inn, it states Best Wings in Denver. I had to test that out. I went with some family members who frequent this bar and tried the wings based on their recommendation. I got the buffalo hot and they got the Asian medium. They all came out piping hot and looked inviting. I began chowing down and they were pretty good. Not as hot as I had anticipated, but they were good. I tried one of the Asian wings, and they had a great bold flavor. They were spicier as medium wings, then the buffalo hot sauce. I found that a bit weird. I don't think they are the best wings, but they are pretty good. There are plenty of other places in the area that have better wings, in my opinion.

  • Kara H.

Food is 4+ stars, but Jesus our service was horrible. Friday night, obviously busy but come on! Simple mixed drinks and a pitcher of beer shouldn't take 30 minutes in this universe or any other. Every time our waitress walked by empty handed, she would make eye contact and say "I haven't forgotten about you!"...yes, yes lady, you did. The wings are awesome, and any repeat trip I make here will be solely for their wings. The Asian ones are awesome and the buffalo are good if you get them with extra sauce and extra crispy. They are dry and fatty/slimy if you don't.

    (2)
  • Cynthia D.

The wings are soo good, they taste like they are fried in peanut oil but it's good. Drinks and atmosphere are good too I like the crowd in there. It's a fun little dive bar. I don't think they liked the music we played because they turned it down but other than that I'd still make the drive there for wings and a jack and coke.

    (5)
  • Shane L.

I don't understand why so many people like this place. The wings are overrated. Mine were dry and barely seasoned. The staff paid no attention when I went to pick up my order so I had to stand at the bar for quite a while before anyone bothered to help me. The ambience is very much the biker scene. I used to own a Harley and this place made me uncomfortable.

    (1)
  • J D.

The server demanded we do shots with our pitcher of beer. We said no- then she poured shots- and delivered em. We didn't want them- but when our bill came- we were charges for them. Fck that. What are you...12 years old. Will never return again. Kaycee and Char have a scam to do this. It has happened before- but we had had a few drinks and didn't make an issue of it. Never returning again. Its a scam.

Service is always great here... very laid back The wings are always amazing here love to come all the time!!!

  • Ryan S.

Piper Inn is always awesome. The Chinese food is good and the wings are great. My personal favorite are the beef wontons. Booze is cheap and the service is good if it's not super busy. This is a biker bar that serves chinese food and wings, I'm not sure why people complain about the service. Are the wings the best in Denver? Probably not, there's plenty of wing places. They're damn good and the other food items are good too.

  • Matt C.

I like this dive/biker bar. The buffalo style wings are great. The Asian food on the menu is excellent. I have not tried the burgers. (I can not recommend the salads or chicken fried steak as I would not order those again) The menu prices are fantastic. I have met some friendly people here. I usually go in the afternoon & evenings to eat, drink beer, & shoot pool. I have never seen a fight or scuffle. Just nice people enjoying a cool atmosphere. They have some very pretty ladies working here. 2 covered outdoor patios one for smokers. I come here on my Honda & it has never been damaged! Although I do hear some snickering from snooty Harley riders who don't put a fraction of the miles on the road that I do! All in all this place gets 2 thumbs up from me :)

    (5)
  • Erin G.

The beef wontons are AMAZING. I am now obsessed with them after ordering them on accident. Not in love with the atmosphere and have had a bad experience with a waitress after she started me a tab and then never took my card and I thought I had paid. But, I guess I had not paid and I walked out and to my car to get on my way after a drink and some wings and the waitress/bartender followed me out and stared at me and I said "Can I help you?" and basically she thought I was trying to walk out without paying. I felt so bad that I left a 100% tip and she still didn't act like she believed me. I usually order pick-up and probably won't go to there for awhile in fear of running into her again. It was my fault, but the fact that she acted like I was a criminal and was very rude was like nothing I've ever experienced.. It was humiliating.

  • Jonathan E.

Liked it but the wings were dry. Cooked nice, but lacked any sauce or kick, which was a let-down due to their being named "best wings" by several sources over the years. The bar staff were pretty good and the crowd is festive. I'm not country or biker but had some great convos with my neighbors.

    (3)
  • Sonja A.

Who would've thought a biker bar would serve pretty yummy Chinese food. Very laid back environ (love) with a non smoking patio (super love) and pleasant employees.

  • Peter M.

I used to pass by the Piper Inn in my car, looking at the lot full of motorcycles, thinking to myself, "one day I'm gonna get me a bike too!". Well, last summer I finally made that happen, so I stopped on in... First, don't let the motorcycle crowd deter you. The patrons here are friendly, and the there are all types - the Harley guy (and girl), the Sunday rider, the 40 year old mid-life crisis 'I should get a bike' guy (me), retired cruisers, etc... The pub itself serves a tasty assortment of American fare, and the bar is well equipped to service most any palette. Very laid back atmosphere and great staff make this a perfect spot for an afternoon cold one on a warm summer day.

    (4)
  • Pam H.

Yeah, the wings are good. The drinks are crap. Weak vodka...i ordered top shelf, and warm beer. A certain "bartender" is the rudest, most loud-mouthed, arrogant and repugnant human I've encountered lately. Joking with the regulars is one thing. Calling the customers explicit and foul names is another.I am not a regular. My friend took me there after I had gotten some terrible news. I tipped almost 50% of my bill and got called a stupid f***ing bitch for my generosity. Are you kidding me? I won't spend another cent at Piper Inn. I don't care how good the wings are.

    (1)
  • Davis B.

It's a hidden gem! I love small bars with regulars... And this place has em. Stiff drinks, amazing food, and group of the coolest bikers you have ever met!

    (4)
  • Paul M.

This place was a whopping disappointment. I chose it for the first time the other day because they tout "The best wings in Denver". I think it may say that on their signage and advertisements. Please be advised such is not the case, same goes for their generic-as-it gets ripple fries. Nothing about our experience made me consider going back. The ranch dressing was good. The food the better than tolerable. The service was slow, and I'm pretty sure after my friend ordered something the waitress rolled her eyes as she walked away. I asked, and he confirmed he saw it happen as well. Also, he received 1 celery stick with his wings, but it was chopped into cubes. Kinda amusing more than anything. If you dig being around the biker-type atmosphere give it a try, but do not expect your palate to be overwhelmed.

  • Tenacious P.

Took wifey on a date here on a Saturday night. We both ordered a few drafts and wings. Yelp seems to be littered with a-holes who hate service on just about every favorite restaurant of mine. Truthfully, the service isn't rockstar but they make up for it in food, vibe and ambiance. There wasn't one entitled hipster. Most of the patrons were normal frickin people. If you're a normal person who's isn't full of himself/herself then you'll love this place.

    (5)
  • Sue N.

It is a biker bar but not sleazy. The wings are excellent and the service is slow but heck, it has a good atmosphere.

    (4)
  • Melissa F.

The hot wings are delicious but you must also try the fried rice!! They have delicious food overall

    (5)
  • Steve R.

The wings are sub par, just don't get why everyone thinks they are so great. Had plenty better at other bars for cheaper. Over rated

Wings weren't coated with very much sauce and were a Little dry but they were good. Fish was really good to.

Been going to this place for 20yrs. Tonight was horrible worst food ever. Kenny Wa is rolling over in his grave. Rick you should be ashamed of what the piper has become!!!!!

  • Angie T.

Not rated "best wings in Denver" by far, service is okay, nothing great but wings are worse than delivery, super un satisfied actually possibly the worst wings I've had ,

  • C M.

We have enjoy most of the meals we have had. The only thing we have not enjoyed was the burger. My wife enjoys the oriental food and I can have the great wings. The staff is always friendly. The bartenders have no problem making drinks which are not on the menu.

  • Jesse B.

Wings Asian style are delicious. I tried their egg foo young my second time and enjoyed it. This is a biker bar I have driven past for many years but not tried until this year. I definitely recommend the wings and like them extra saucy hot. Their hot is not the mouth scorching hot you get at other wing places. The waitresses have been friendly and attentive both times I visited. There is ample parking around the building. I will definitely go back again.

    (5)
  • Kristy L.

Great place for wings. Best I've ever had. Cold beer and waiter was awesome! Tried the veggie fried rice that my friend ordered and was really fresh and delicious! Highly recommend

  • Kenya T.

I decided to try this restaurant since it was right around the corner and I was craving wings. I got the Asian wings with medium sauce and the shrimp fried rice. The wings were way salty and had no spice kick to it at all. The shrimp fried rice was ok but nothing spectacular to rave about. All in all average bar food.

    (3)
  • Gustavo D.

A biker bar with a Chinese kitchen. It's incredible and really makes a statement with the menu. The Chinese hot wings are something special and anything else you decide to go after on the menu will not leave you disappointed. Make it happen.

  • Kaity W.

Best wings in the area! I usually order takeout from here, but sometimes we stay to dine in. The wings are always big and full of flavor, and the service isnt bad either. I was really shocked when I saw they had chinese food too, but it was actually better than I expected. A lot better. But I Definitely made the wrong choice when I decided to pick up an order while wearing a sons of anarchy t-shirt. .. I felt like such an idiot.

    (5)
  • Chelsea A.

The wings were dry and had no flavor. My boyfriend got a burger that was as thin as a McDonald's burger.

Love the food!!!!! Asian take on american classics. Must try the wings! The place may look sketchy but it isn't. Service is great also.

Got more wings recently. Stellar wings, just stellar. They're the best wings I've found in the area, or perhaps anywhere.

went for a wing during the late hours of lunch. very first time to check out the wings per so many recommendations from fellow yelpers. After all, sign says "Best Wings in Denver" i ordered 10 pc with Chinese style turbo, crispy. while savoring the blue moon, came out in decent time on a oval dish often used at the Chinese restaurant. Definetely better than paper dish. Wings had bits of coarsely chopped onions and dark sauce that had traces of red pepper seeds. Also had about 7 pcs of 1 inch long celery with small paper cup of ranch dressing. I m finding that the sauces are combination of hoisen sauce with red pepper paste (Chinese style with turbo kick?). It was quite salty to my taste and I tend to eat saltier than others. Tooooo salty. I had to wash down with water. I can still feel the saltiness in my mouth while writing this reviews. $14 damage including wings, 16 oz of blue moon and tip. presentation was good, service was good and came out as I expected. * wing flavor is definitely unusual and quite salty. I will give 4 star for a uniqueness of chicken wing flavor. I always ask for crispy so juicyness seems to be always the same. If you like the Chinese style wings from Piper Inn, try the Bear Wing's house flavor next to H-mart; less salty, more flavor, just the right amount of heat. Also, Pho restaurants started to offer wings as appetizer and their flavor might equal. You should try and judge if this is the best wings in Denver.. I personally dont think so.

My second biker bar and on a scale of one to two- it gets a solid TWO as the best of two biker bars I have been to! With that said the food- wings are SALT LADEN- delicious- but would definitely taste better after a pitcher where I'm just dying to hang onto the salt my body is losing by drinking. Alas, the anti-diuretic hormone crisis. We only smelled two different types of smoke walking in so it was a chill atmosphere for the most part when we went. Ladies of the South- HEAR ME! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WEAR A DRESS UNLESS IT IS MADE OF LEATHER...do I make myself clear? I would've had WAAAAAYYY more fun had I known about the theme- the strictly socially speaking theme- I wore a large long dress with summer in mind- should've left it at home. Definitely better if you have some sexy black tight thing to paint on. Otherwise- badass band- GREAT atmosphere- let all colors of your hair down and have a good time!

  • Jason S.

Definitely a 'biker bar' and not a bar for dentists that happen to ride Harley. An outgoing staff but certainly a bar that takes seriously an anything goes attitude. The hot wings are tasty too....not a huge fan of the Chinese ones. Interesting menu overall with about half being American bar food and the other half leaning Chinese. N.B.: Don't be too freaked out if your server takes a swig of your beer before you get it.

Really great wings and burgers. I also like the Cantonese chicken and the special chow.

Best wings lol...best disgusting wings with bad customer service! If you really know what good wings taste like then you'd agree!

  • Doug Y.

Wings. Pretty good but not as great as I remember them being but I haven't been in here for eons. This was one of my Harley buddy hangouts once upon a time and we spent many a drunken night in here. Maybe that's why I wasn't impressed by the wings, I needed to be drunker? And when did the the place get so big AND start serving Chinese food? It seemed to be against some Harley rider unwritten principle for me (even though I'm Asian) to order Chinese food here. Yeah, I'm an oxy-moron.

  • Jordan B.

NOM NOM NOM NOM CHINESE WINGS!! Holy Crap, seriously... are there crack in these things!? I could eat myself into a triple-wide coffin on their wings!! Don't be intimated just because of the bounty of motorcycles outside. Trust me most of those dudes really drive Jettas anyways. This place is usually crazy busy on the weekends, but the laid-back service almost always takes care of your table. Beer is cold, pitchers are priced well and damn are them wings good! BTW did I mention the Wings were good (though avoid the other flavors)?! The rest of the menu is rather 'meh'. Eggrolls are good, fries are subpar, fried rice standard, everything else is deep fried or slimy. ProTip: Order the Chinese wings like this: Asian Wings, Medium, EXTRA CRISPY. Eat and Enjoy!

    (4)
  • Victor S.

Clicky place,if you are not a regular or look a certain way (biker type) your service might not be great. Gave this place two chances and wasn't impressed by the way I was treated.

Great wings at the Piper. It is a dive bar but who doesn't like that. Haven't had much beside the wings but they hold there own in Buffalo.

Great hamburgers! Asian wings are delicious too. Fun, mellow bar.

    (4)
  • Elle N.

All the food I've tried here is excellent. My favorites are the Turkey Club and the Beef Wontons. I have to say there is one things that really annoys the hell out of me though, I always get the food to go and every single time I pick it up, they set the bag on this nasty, sticky, wet, dirty tray when there is a cleaner, perforated, dry, mat RIGHT NEXT TO IT! I don't know if they do this on purpose or what but for that alone, I took away a star as I now have a nice stain on my car seat.

  • Robert G.

Great wings...I prefer the Asian Hot. I am also a fan of the Won Ton Soup along with the crinkle french fries.

    (4)
  • Kelly M.

What they say is in fact true...The Asian Wings ROCK! We ordered the Asian wings and the regular buffalo wings (all as hot as we could get them) and everything was fantastic. I suggest you order it spicy hot if you like any spice at all because even at the hottest it was just medium to me but still full of flavor. Can't say anything for the other menu items since that is all we ordered but you may find it interesting that 90% of the menu is chinese food. It just seemed odd at a biker bar but hey if the food is good there you go! The service was okay, neither here nor there but the wings won the day and I did enjoy myself. YUM!

    (4)
  • Sara L.

Inside my sweet, quiet lady exterior I've got a soft spot for bikers. Though I don't think I've ever seen any real, hardcore bikers here. The food isn't particularly special... but you can get a grilled cheese and fries for $2.50 or a half order of vegetable fried rice for $4. I like the patio, the fast service, and the strong margaritas.

Where shall we take dad(husband) for fathers day. But where else. The famous landmark and biker bar. Piper Inn on Parker Road. Did you know there use to be a small landing strip nearby and that is where the name came from. Ok so the food is just ok. Chines fried rice, the Asian wings and celery with blue cheese dressing. Oh I can't forget the wicked Bloody Marys. I felt like I was watching a TV show or something. A different scene and a different life style. That certainly was not a problem for us. We enjoyed being on the patio with the bikers. The waitress actually thought I frequented the place and always sat in the same booth(we sat at a booth till the patio opened up). My husband said maybe because I was in all black. Who knows but I was comfortable there and would love to go back.

Asian wings in a Harley-preferred biker bar. Oh Yeah. Stopped in twice in recent weeks. Once with friends for HH, and another time on my own for the NASCAR race. I love the cool inconsistencies of this place: biker friendly, but not divey. A respectable chinese influenced menu. And, the food is served on asian styled dishes. Oh yeah, love the Asian Style wings, medium hot. It has that great hot/sweet chili sauce, and they have been perfect every time.

  • Dean S.

Had a bad experience! The man servicing behind bar was absolutely rude and insulting! I had three friends with me one guy and two girls. The man behind bar made rude sexual verbal gestures towards my friends.. Mostly the two girls. He then makes fun of me for where a thin hoody over my bronco t shirt and said im wearing a womans hoody. Then i pay the $27 bill and left a good $6 tip. All on credit card! He (the bar tender) then flags me down with the tip that he converted to cash and says to me you left your change implying that i did not leave enough! I wished i said something back but i just walked out with my friends who were also in shock from the insulting/rudeness of this guy! The food was ok and other people in the bar including staff were good and polite. This man should be talked to. I left out a few things about what this man said due to the words being pretty bad.

World Famous Wings? I think not. Great service and great atmosphere, but people hype these wings way too much. I had very high expectations for this place after all the great reviews. I had an order of the asian and buffalo wings medium. Extremely salty and they were the dinkiest wings I've ever had. Even worse than BW3's wings. Right up the road is a place called Gibby's. If you are seeking good wings with a lot of meat on the bone and an assortment of great sauces, this is your place.

    (2)
  • Allyson K.

Two words: Asian wings! You must try their take on wings - they are absolutely amazing! Outside of that, they have pretty decent drink specials and a couple pool tables there. It's a very low-key biker bar but it's a diamond in the rough!

    (4)
  • David B.

A very comfortable bar. Biker friendly, good drink specials, good service. Food is so-so.

    (4)
  • Alia Z.

I love the atmosphere of the bar and I really wanted to like the food better. Most of it was very salty, which is always a turn-off. The Asian wings were pretty good, the Buffalo were not.

Loved the motorcycles and the interesting clientele. Disappointed by the "Denver's Best" chicken wings, they were nothing to write home about. Small, typical bar wings that you can get most anywhere. Tried an Asian chicken rice dish upon recommendation by the bartender, too salty for my taste due to the excessive soy sauce it was cooked in. Beer selection was also just fair. Being a motorcyclist, I loved checking out the bikes and hanging out with the different characters there. Glad to have stopped by while in town but wouldn't recommend it to friends.

  • Paul D.

I guess if I lived close and it was my best (or only) option I'd be more impressed. And I'm not fond of the biker lifestyle or aesthetic, so perhaps I'm not the best judge. All I can say is these wings everyone are so excited about are OK, but not exceptional. The asian sauce is certainly different, but not exceptional. And as others have noted, they were extremely salty. I had them with one of the worst BLT's I've ever had. How do you screw up a BLT you ask? Well, use crappy pieces of iceberg lettuce and tomato for starters, put it on what looked like Wonder Bread, and serve it with the mayo on the side in a tear-open pouch. Even the bacon was weird, with an overly, artificial smoke flavor. They were friendly though.

Sub par wings and fried rice- very salty and now I can't stop farting.

  • Kaylee W.

Best wings in CO. Asian/Chinese style is the way to go! The ranch is even really good. Haven't tried anything else on the menu but we really only go when we're craving wings.

  • Kimmy M.

I've been here twice and I will confess - neither time did I try the wings... I've had one of their asian dishes - very good as well as their country fried steak - totally delicious. Was pleasantly surprised both times. I enjoyed seeing all of the bikes out front and was happy to hang out with my fellow bikers. I will certainly make this my go-to biker place every time I'm in town.

Get Asian Mediums, extra wet wings or a burger!

  • Monika L.

Their wings are great, but they a little rude in there. When they are busy and you try to call in and place an order, they'll have the phone off the hook.

  • Taylor V.

I don't know about "best wings in Denver" but they are pretty damn good. I'd like to name the place I had that I DO think has the best wings in Denver, but I'm not sure they're open anymore and for some reason for the life of me I can't remember the name. So Piper Inn is a pretty decent option. (I've heard Vine Street is very good as well, but have yet to try). Definitely better than a Hooters. The Asian style wings are pretty damn good, but I like the "hot" the best. A fun little biker bar in Aurora, definitely worth checking out.

  • H S.

SALT. SALT. SALT. I don't think I have ever in my life eaten anything so salty; two wings and you're liable to develop chronic hypertension. That being said, they did have a decent crispiness to them. If this place would only use a fourth of the salt that they currently do, the food would be much better. Until then, the food will continue to be tolerable only if you are completely tanked. Did seem like an alright place to drink, though.

    (2)
  • Amelia B.

Okay I am hooked on the wings, Asian Hot. The service is outstanding and the food really cheap. Our favorite place!!! Thought it was interesting that Caldonia's had to have a sign over the 4th of July telling everyone Piper was closed :)

    (5)
  • Blake H.

I was told that they had good wings. I can make better, but they did have a spicy asian sauce that was decent. The wings are fired, I prefer mine baked, BBQ, broiled, or anything but fried. The place is a little run-down but not bad for a biker bar. The drink specials are not that special, but it nice to sit on the patio and hang with friends.

Bikes parked in a neat row out front. The black Ducati is to fuggin' d.i.e. for!!! Southern rock leaking through the speakers overhead. Every table top filled with beer swilling, wing eating folk. The best hot wings in town.

I love the atmosphere. Classic rock/metal with a good crowd and a decent vibe. The staff seemed friendly and parking was not an issue. Thats about all I can say positive right now. The "chinese" wings were salty as hell and overcooked and the menu was just strange.

This is a weird place for me. It is a biker type bar but with Chinese running it and serving wings and chinese food. Huh?? No biggie as once you eat their Chinese hot wings and the fried rice, you don't really care anymore! It is arguably the best wings I have tasted with the fried rice being above average.

5 stars for the best wings in Denver. Gotta get the Chinese Hot with extra onion! I've been lucky enought to play softball for this place for 4 years, and win or lose the game, I always win when i get the wings. If you don't like raw onion, not only do you suck but you won't like these wings. The character here is great too, I mean its a biker bar with a predominately chinese food menu.

What is with the hype over this place? The chinese hot wings are gross! I've heard so many people rave over those wings, but wow was I unimpressed. The regular hot wings were decent. I've had better french fries in a high school cafeteria. The atmosphere really wasn't my thing.

I am happy here on a hot summer day roaring up on the back of a Harley. I am also happy here on a dark winters night meeting an old friend for a drink. I like Piper Inn. The wings are insane and a good lot of great looking bikes and their owners is nothing to scoff at either. The Asian wings are the best damn, freaking, unbelievable, super yummy can't wait for more wings EVER! You know the kind of thing you think of long past leaving? Piper's Asian wings. Their fries are also good enough for repeat business. Good pours at the bar and it's hit or miss with some of the servers. They can be fun and welcoming or a bit smug. The one BIG drawback here is you need to coordinate your trips to the bathroom with every other woman there, it is the size of a port-o-let. This is a small inconvenience considering the great establishment and the good time the Piper has to offer both bikers and minivan drivers ( I do both) on a regular basis.

I like this bar for drinks and food alike. I love the Chinese hot wings here and the Egg Foo Young is good. The Chinese hot wings are salty just so you are warned. Most of the other Cantonese dishes are really good. Beer and drink prices are high, but food prices are not too bad. Expect to wait for a seat or wait a while for service if it is really busy. The atmosphere is fun an the outdoor patios in the summer are great. I enjoy getting out to the Piper for drinks with friends every once in a while.

The Piper is, as has been mentioned before, a biker bar. AND it's a biker bar that is popular with a 1%-er club or two, and if those types make ya nervous, maybe not your best choice. But since I'm a biker, these folks bother me not a whit, and besides, it's always fun to speculate on where the hell is it that these guys work where they can look like that?!?!?!?!? The service is.....servicable. Not great. You gotta speak up if you want something, and it may take a reminder or two before you actually see it. Best strategy is to flip out a five BEFORE you order, get the gal's name, and make sure SHE is the one waiting on you for the duration. My mom was a waitress at a Chinese restaurant called Wong Village in Billings, MT, when I was a kid, and she was always bringing home leftovers from the place that the Piper's food reminds me of powerfully. Same big, overstuffed, greasy, crispy eggrolls that, when slathered with hot mustard and that godawful, not-found-in-nature RED sweet an' sour, and washed down with ice-cold Corona, are just about the BEST snack in the universe. The Chinese wings weren't around when I was a kid, but lemme tell ya, I've made up for lost time: these dudes are ADDICTIVE. Really, about the best thing you can do is take a little ride down here with 7 or 8 of your best biker buds, grab a table out on the patio so y'all can smoke, and order up a few plates of assorted wings, wontons, and eggrolls. Drink, eat, and repeat, until y'all are ready to saddle up for your next destination (probably the Stagecoach in Franktown, or maybe the Sedalia Inn, in......Sedalia).

Ok. I was shocked that this got such a high rating. Really? I was expecting some yummo out-of-this world wings and Chinese food. Yea, not quite. By the way, they use the same nasty, salty, fish sauce on the wings as they do on their so-called Chinese food. OMG!! So much salt, that the ranch dressing was all but saved the dish. I'm glad they had beer, because I needed it to wash it all down - Ugh!! The Chinese/Thai whatever wings you want to call them were so gross. I WOULD NEVER go back. I gave it ONE star because the service was fast. The server didn't really give a rip whether we liked it or not, but he did provide good service. Of course my order came out wrong, which seems to be standard according to the woman who brought it out, so the waiter didn't even notice that I didn't have my dish when he came to check on us. Again, he was good, the rest......nothing to write home about and I've had better wings in other spots. My Yelp peeps have let me down!! Bummer!!

Kinda odd, even for me. The food is good and since there is a bar I am happy but still odd. It is like am Asian biker bar. Weird but good. Not really a place that I would go to all the time though.

It's a dive bar, with average food, but it gets three stars because of their wings...which are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biker bar & Chinese food, what! For real! 5 Stars for the Chinese Wings! The kitchen in the back is owned or rented or whatever their agreement is by and Asian family and the last place you would expect decent Chinese food is a biker bar! They however deliver I always get the wings whose recipe is so closely guarded they wont even give you a side of the sauce they use to season them! The secret is out so the Bikers no longer get to monopolize these Chinese Wings that this bar puts out! At any given time there are indeed bikers and if you are timid buck up, and stop in anyways! Odds are you will be ignored like the other none bikers in here thinking your risking life & limb because of paranoid negative stereotypes! The service is marginal and its not the waitresses fault its just the name of the game with bars it can go from being slow to busy at a drop of a dime! However every lady that has waited on me has been very nice and tried their best! FYI keep in mind some of the waitress work here because #1 they like bikers or #2 bikers like them! Remember your not here for the ambiance, service or the decor its a biker bar enough said, but you will be surprised by the food. So stop in order some Chinese wings and combo fried rice and you will be set. Wash it down with a miller lite and its a wrap!

This is a biker dive bar that has good Chinese food and cold beer. Thats it.... If your looking for nice Chinese dining go somewhere else. I personally like the (salty) Asian style wings. The burgers and stir fry are very good as well. Service has been average to good. Once again I do not go to the Piper for nice bathrooms, fantastic service or fine dining.

Decent bar. Small and busy which I would expect on a Sunday but drinks were still quick and cold. I didn't get a chance to try the wings but I will go back and give them a shot, they sound good.

The Piper Inn is located on the edge of Denver/Aurora across the street from Caldonia's. The Piper Inn is a biker bar. It is a pretty tiny place with an even smaller parking lot--which if you drove your bike there--it wouldn't matter to you. If you don't find a spot in their barely-legal-to-call-it-a-parking lot, you'll have to park across the street or down the road. The walk back to your car in the dark, may not appeal to fearful small females. You must know these things before you attempt to venture to the Piper. If you can brave these elements, you'll find cold beer, friendly waitresses, good old classic rock on the jukebox, lots of black leather and long hair, and some of the nicest people around. If you can't hang in old, run down, biker bars don't even kid yourself about feeling comfortable here. As long as you can fit in this situation, you will find yourself sitting in the presence of some GREAT chicken wings. They offer two flavors--buffalo and chinese. I'd go for the buffalo. The medium wasn't really hot at all so take that into consideration. The sauce isn't too runny nor is it too thick. Oh and they don't have blue cheese--just ranch. But they aren't stingy with it, like some other wing places. I'm telling you, if you want some nearly perfect wings and you're willing to accept the clientele and the location, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the Piper. Please don't show up in high heels and your church dress though. While you may get some stares, they won't be the good kind. And as I think about this more, I guess this needs to be clarified, please don't bring your small children here and then glare at my friends for cussing--you're in a biker bar. On a side note, they have a large array of (rumored to be tasty)chinese dishes as well. But who wants chinese when there are wings?

Piper's Inn is best known for their wings. There is a large sign just outside of the bar stating they have the best wings in Colorado. When I went to see if this was a fact, I ordered 20 Chinese style wings, mild for $13.25 along with a Coke. When I inspected the wings, I noticed them drenched in their Chinese sauce. I took a bite and was highly impressed. The flavor shook my senses. The wings were cooked just right. Not burnt and not raw. I could not get over the flavor and how fresh they tasted. They were so fresh it was as if they had killed the chicken 5 minutes ago in the kitchen. The meat just peeled off the bone with no effort. I am the type of person who tries to avoid arguments, confrontation, and disagreements in general. I understand that things happen to meals all the time that are accident. I would never send my food back or complain to a manager. Stuff happens and I understand. Bartenders in general can be oblivious. Such as not taking your order, not refilling your soda and can be rude because they are busy. Not that I would complain about any of that, I just want to be served. At The Piper Inn, the service is great. You pick the table, spot and whether it's outside or inside. They greet you fast and personable. The waitresses are just some women working hard to earn their pay. They get your food to you at a reasonable time and they always are somewhere in the bar where you can wave to them and they will see you. I asked another waitress if she could get me some ranch and she did, fast too. They know you are there to hang out and watch the game, so they are not hounding you. Piper's Inn may not be the best family type environment, but it is the best place to enjoy some wings, watch the Broncos, and get out of your comfort zone.

I had the Hot Chinese Wings. Pretty good, but pretty much on the level with somewhere like Wingstop.

I live around the corner and always wanted to go by my girlfriend thought it was a scary biker bar. Until one drunkin night on the town, work night that is. I talked her into going. It's great!! Great service, great specials, great atmosphere. It's got that dive bar meets local hangout meets cheers affect. 12 thumbs up!!! If I had 12 thumbs.

Growing up the piper inn was a bar that scared me driving by as I was driven to synagogue by my parents. Now, I am able to drink and I grew some balls (not really, im a chick but you know what I mean) and I am proud to go to the Piper, even on Shabbat. Where else can you have cream cheese wontons and american food at the same time? I I am a big fan of their wings. I love the non-smoking patio they offer. Oh, and I feel like a badass when I go there. Good deal.

It is what it is. My pals and I have been here at the end of the night a couple of times and taken unsuspecting people new to Denver, or those new to crossing the Denver/Aurora border here with interesting results. The spritzers are annoying in the summer if you're having a good hair day, the bikers can be complimentary if your ego is sagging, and the wings are the bomb. I live not far off Parker Road so when the weather is sunny and 60+, I hear the straight pipes sing their siren song on their way to this place. Great people watching.

4 Stars for the Asian wings they are just really good! Other than that the rest of the menu can be a little hit or miss, but always a good value. I'd stick to the Asian dishes myself. Lot's of bikers here, but for the most part they are just there to do the same as everybody else, relax enjoy some casual times with friends and put back a few wings and brews. Check online for their live music line up on the weekends. I'll be back mark my words!

At first glance this place looks like a lousy Colfax dive bar that serves microwave hot dogs & potato chips. Not true. Far from it. Get your butt in the door and check it out. Think it's only a burger joint? More than that! Take a glance at the menu of about half Cantonese / Asain fare. You can't go wrong with any of the Asian fare... Hey, I'll cut to the chase... Get the Asian Hot wings! The sweet & spicy sauce combo, with onions, flavor melts in your mouth. They fry the wings crisp. (not gummy!) Add a side of fries and watch the game on one of many tv's. They have a open patio in the nice weather, tv's out there too. Pool tables etc. Don't miss it!

I have this lawyer friend from Back East who apparently loves this joint, and drags me kicking and screaming whenever he gets the chance. I mentioned this to a mutual friend who also happens to be a lawyer, and he too loves this place. Do I need new friends ?? Nah, this place does have great wings, friendly service, and as long as you don't mind the clientle..... ( the lawyers, not the bikers), then you're golden.

One word: Wings! Its a trashy little harley haven, but dear god they have the most heavenly wings. Only go for the ORIENTAL chicken wings they are perfection, just the right amount of tangy, sweet, garlic sauce with crisp onions garnised through out. They also have a variety of american and chinesse items on their menu but you'd be a fool to not try the wings. Also their wings are great to order for parties that's how I first sampled them.So go hungry, grab a beer and get in touch with your biker side.

I don't know what happened to my first (poor) review, but it disappeared. My husband and I tried this place with another friend at the request of a friend. Anyhow, the Asian Hot Wings (much recommended) were extremely salty (and I love salt) and not hot at all. The crab rangoon was also just average. Honestly, my husband, our friend, and I all prefer Buffalo Wild Wings to this P.O.S. place. What brought my review down on this place is the service. We literally had the worst service I have ever experienced at any place at the Piper. My husband and I were charged for several drinks and several beers that we did not have - we think that the confusion came in due to the fact that our servers were changing shifts while we were there. When we questioned our new server about the fact that there were several additional drinks on our bill that we did not have, she literally flipped a lid. She started yelling, screaming, and throwing stuff around behind the bar. She then started complaining to one of the regular patrons who comes into the bar and that patron literally got into our face and tried to start a fight with us. I have never, ever experienced something like that before. In the end, the bartender comped us a round (although it's not really a comp if you didn't really have those drinks, is it?) and made sure we knew she did it. So overall, the food is three stars, but bitchy service is worth one star - average equals two stars. Save your money and go where they will be happy to serve you. I think the owner of this place should be ashamed of how his servers are behaving here (my husband and I both worked in the service industry while in college and never imagined behaving like this). Guess everyone thinks they're entitled to everything, now, as a server.

this must be the only biker bar in colorado with 10+ microbrews on tap. their prices on the beers are great (1554 for $10 a pitcher) but the prices on wings are a little steep. i find it wierd they do not offer quantity discounts, as the price per wing for a 10 order is roughly the same as it is for a 50 order. great waitstaff, cool flatware (thrift store kinda chinese dishes) and the chance to see a random biker fight too.
