False advertising. Said they're open until 8:30pm on Sundays, door was definitely locked at 8:05

Not bad, but not great. The service was blah at best. Seriously it's all about the location. If this place tried to do business on Federal it would be closed down in a week. The Pho was bland and the overall experience is forgettable. Priced fair and there's plenty of options pretty much cloned from every other Pho spot around. So not much out of the box here. If you're downtown craving pho and don't want to go 10 mins away to federal then this place will do the trick. On a positive note it was clean, convenient, and there's sports on the TVs. They are also honest about using MSG which I appreciated. Sad there's no place serving Pho that doesn't use this awful flavor enhancer. Bonus points for honesty!

Exceptional Vietnamese Food, authentic recipe. I ordered the combination vermicelli noodles, It's excellent. The best that I find since I moved out to Denver from San Francisco Bay Area. Great food, attentive servers, reasonable price, clean atsmophere. Highly recommend this place.

Such expensive food, for two regular pho's and two orders of summer rolls ended up paying $51!? Not only were the summer rolls loose the shrimp still had shell residue attached to them. The peanut sauce that came with it was very soupy and gritty. I've always known pho reatraunts to be delish Vietnamese home cooking for a very reasonable price, sadly this establishment did not hold that standard. Even though the location was very clean and modern it did not feel very welcoming.

For lunch it was quick, reasonably priced, tasty and filling. I will be back!

Good pho and noodle bowl. iced coffee is also excellent. I will suggest going there for lunch instead of dinner. Dinner price is higher for the same portion.

Good Pho, I go there pretty often. But the RUDEST servers, it honestly makes me want to find a different Pho just because of that aspect alone.

Sad to say it but, DO NOT EAT HERE! ATE PHO AND GOT FOOD POISONING! I would come here on occasion because it was the closest pho place. Well one unfortunate day, about 15 min after eating their pho, my boyfriend and I got really sick. Do yourself a favor and drive to federal where the good pho is. AVOID THIS PLACE!

This is a great place to grab some pho! Been craving it ever since our move to Denver and while it isn't home, this place can definitely compete. I really like that I can sit next to the window and look down into the street while I eat. The prices are decent and here you have a choice between regular and large. The regular is still huge, of course and haven't finished a bowl yet. The selection of flavors is pretty basic, I've been going for chicken or meat ball. Nothing super special but definitely hits the spot. Location is awesome, just off the 16th street mall near a ton of places you have to go anyway. Only complaint is service can be a bit slow after you get your food. The last few times we've been, we got up and asked for our check at the counter. Great place!

Is it the best I've ever had? Nope. But is it the best in Lodo? HELL YEAH! It wins by a gazillion miles. It was on a cold day so this was perfect. The broth here is so clean, just pure goodness. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I said (pretty loudly) "this smells like heaven!" I was not disappointed at all. I ordered the regular portion meatball pho ($8). But honestly, whether it's the traditional beef pho, chicken pho, or bun bo hue, I've never left with an oil slick in my belly, nor dying of thirst from salt/msg overload. The only thing strange that day was having lemon instead of lime on the veggie plate. The prices and portions are just right, and if you need something light, the salads are perfectly balanced as well. The service is warm, charming, efficient, and prompt.

Located on the second level, above the Mexican restaurant which is above the liquor store, I'm going to have to go with a low three stars. Some good things going on here but not my favorite place for Pho. Still, it does the trick when that craving for something warm comes creeping in... The fact that this eatery is upstairs is way cool. It offers a decent view of the activity on the 16th St. Mall which is always entertaining. There is room for large groups of people or small. There is definitely a modern feel to the furniture and decorations. Didn't exactly feel welcomed by the staff so that was a bit off putting. But whatever, I'm hungry. There aren't very many options on the menu but at least none of them are crazy expensive. I'm all about a $10 meal in the middle of the city. The Pho itself was good but not the best I've had. In a pinch, this place will do the trick. I wouldn't avoid it but I also would seek it out. It's a good joint to pop in to when close by.

I've been here a couple times and this is one of the better pho restaurants for downtown. It's still a little price for the bowl size they offer, but I can get behind that since it's LoDo. Plenty of room in the restaurant, so it never feels cramped.

  • George N.

Decent place, not great but fast and friendly. Ordered Rare Steak Pho, came out almost instantly. Tasty enough but a little on the bland side for me. Plenty of steak, no complaints there. Sat at the bar and waiter was friendly and attentive. Might go back, but wouldn't be compelled.

  • Dan N.

Seeing the huge line waiting to get into the place I was encouraged that this might be amazing! I was wrong. Pho was bland at best. Not bad - but not great. The summer roll was okay but not great. The service was okay - not great. If you are jonesin' for Pho - go for it. But given the culinary choices nearby - I'd pass.

    (2)
  • Edward K.

It's cheap, quick, decently authentic food. You shouldn't go here expecting 5star epic cuisine, but you don't pay near that much either. Also, the turn around time is awesome. Even if there is a line, wait! It will move fast.

The food was definitely subpar. I was really craving Pho and was thoroughly disappointed after eating here.

I've been to my fair share of pho places growing up in California, so this may skew my review a bit. But I was pretty disappointed with this place, especially for its price, which is a few dollars more than I'm used to for this type of food. We got the vegetarian spring rolls (instead of shrimp there was tofu) and while the tofu was good in that it tasted grilled and was warm, the rice paper was too sticky and made the rolls taste too dry texture-wise. My friend got the vegetarian bowl since they had no other vegetarian-friendly options. And I got a chicken pho bowl which was okay. The broth wasn't very flavorful, the chicken was pretty hard and dry. They refilled waters quickly though and the service was pretty good. There are better places to get pho in Denver if you have a car.

I often eat here and love their raw beef pho! Delicious! I will continue to dine here as a regular.

  • Dallas G.

This place is very mediocre. It could be that they were having a tough day as employees since it was dead at this place but first impressions go a long way. I ordered the rare flank and well done brisket but I found myself searching for meat in my bowl which I've never had the displeasure of having to do any other place I've gone to. The waitresses were on point but probably because there was a total of 2 customers including myself. Not worth the cash or time honestly. Who knows though, I like to give places atleast two chances.

  • Jason T.

I've been there several times in the last year and each time it's been the same abecedarian service. It boggles the mind that with a paltry menu and no real prep work for delivery would cause such a delay in service. How does tea come to the table after our bowls of soup? How is it that during the course of the meal, not once was water refilled or asked if the food was fine? One person of our party specifically asked the server to omit vegetables with the dish but was handed a bowl topped with cilantro, carrots, and onions....an abomination of basic communication was on full display. And when told to take it back, the server insisted that there were no vegetables. Please tell me that carrots, cilantro and onions weren't excommunicated as vegetables! An establishment like this (it's SOUP and downtown) needs to have lunch ordered served and cashed out in less than an hour. That's basic. It helps a great deal to have the right people in there to do it too. Not going back again.

I've only found two places that serve Pho on the 16th Street Mall and this one is the better of the two. Pho is good but will probably run $2 more than other Pho locations (you expect that because of their location though). Like many Pho restaurants, you don't have to wait for the check at the end - just go up to the counter and tell them your table number. They will separate your bill at the counter if you wish. It can get really busy between noon-1PM so expect somewhat of a slow service. Don't be afraid to call a wait staff if you need something though.

Wanted pho on a Sunday afternoon in downtown Denver. Many noodle places were not open on Sunday. Took friends here. It is located in what looks like a small mall outside. The pho was okay--I have been to Little Saigon in Garden Grove, down in Orange County and to Arcadia, CA for some of the best pho outside of Vietnam--so this place is decent but not spectacular.

This was amazing Pho!! We visited for lunch on a Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was quick, kind and affordable. The pho was some of the best I've had, with many menu options to pick the meat that best suits your taste. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to give pho a try!

Came during their downtime around 4:30pm-so the service was good and attentive. My fav-the crispy egg rolls! Each order comes with 3 rolls and a side of rice vermicelli noodles for $8. For my meal, I had Bun Rieu $12. It was ok, very large bowl of soup with lots of meat. I asked for a side of the purple shrimp paste sauce- it always makes it better :) My bf ordered the pork chop and rice dish $15. He seemed to like it. I tried it and it was a little sweet but pretty delish! Total for 2 people with a soda, just under $40. A little pricey but we left satisfied.

Just had the best vermicelli combination bowl ever! Excellent flavor. All of the meats had a lovely spice rub. The spring roll was nice and crispy. Restaurant was clean and the staff attentive.

Great lunch spot on the mall. This place is popular so plan for an hour lunch. The meat ball and seafood pho are fantastic.

Awesome lunch spot. Fast, friendly, and unpretentious service, good pho, and above-average vegetarian pho option. Highly recommended for a casual lunch in Denver.

  • Dave C.

I was told there would be a wait for a table but I could get waited on right away at the bar so I chose to sit there. After sitting there for 6 minutes no one even acknowledged I was there so I left. It's downtown, it's my lunch hour, I have a limited amount of time, and there are a plethora of other great dining options. I've been three other times and had great service (seated at a table). I'll probably return but will never opt for the bar again. I'm very disappointed.

I always love a big bowl of Pho when im feeling sick. Ph0 79 Didnt disappoint. I had a little bit of a wait at the Host(ess) stand but then i was greeted and taken to a table overlooking the street, and where I could see the TV. I was brought a water glass fairly quickly and i glanced the menu and seen what I wanted. I ordered the Flank Steak Regular size. It was under 10 mins possibly 5 that the server was back with my Big bowl of PHO and My Hot Tea. Delicious. The Flank wasnt to tough or chewy. I mixed the Hoisin and Sri Hacha to my liking. The Server always came to check on me and the other patrons at other tables. The Menu and Restaurant has a nice layout and design. I can see this place being full at lunch and during the weekend on dinner. The prices were a little higher than another Pho place on the mall. But the Ambience is more upscale. I always throw in those white things on the veggie tray and a little Jalapeno. Fresh and crisp and delicious. And thats a Review thats PHO Sure.

I've been to 79 a few times, only during weekday lunch hours. It's not uncommon to see a crowd of people hanging around the front doors at the top of the staircase. Expect a decent wait. The pho choices are good and the prices are reasonable. Staff works pretty fast and food is brought out quick. It's all good except for the overcrowded entrance I always see...but maybe that's a good thing.

  • Peter M.

Boo! I LOVE the one out at Havana and Mississippi, but this one is TWICE the price. Now, I know that the location has to be considerably more expensive to operate but I felt cheated when I ordered what I normally get for $8 dollars, and the bill came in at $16 for the same thing. Not worth it, and the online menu had the same prices I was used to paying out in Aurora. With a drink it was over $20 bucks, so next time I'll head over to Prime Steakhouse and get a steak at the bar for less money.

  • Amelia Z.

This location consistently closes 30 minutes before the advertised time. The manager was very rude and told me "Do you go to an interview on time or 15 minutes early?" when I told him we were upset. I'm not interviewing for a job, I'm trying to eat dinner. And now were at Pho on 6.

  • Rebecca R.

Good downtown lunch! I love that it's on the second floor of a building, so you get a nice view of the busy street below and some really cool buildings. Everyone from business people to families was lunching when I went in here. The pho was good and came in generous portions, but still kind of expensive for what you get. The boba was $5! But it was delicious and I really enjoyed my taro boba. Mmm. This was a nice place to hang out and take a lunch break.

What can make a snowy and cold day better? PHO! My coworker and I set out for a hot meal to warm our tummies when we stumbled upon Pho 79. Here's the breakdown and why I find this place, just Ok. PROS -Service is friendly, and quick. our meals were delivered within 10 minutes of ordering! -Prices are decent! can't beat a big bowl of Pho for just $8! Food is great :) try the thia sandwich for an app! to die for :) -Close to work for my next Pho fix! CONS -It sure gets packed around lunch time, but that's not their fault :) -I was disappointed by their Steak selection, as I ordered the special bowl full of meat and came to find what looked like lunch meat floating in my Pho. LUNCH MEAT. I guess i was under the impression there was going to be actual steak, instead of what i got. Other than that, i'll return and try something different on the menu....without tripe.

Pho nominal , Is one of the best ways to describe this restaurant and the food this is one of the better places to dine when you're wanting Asian food on 16 street no fusions of any kind that I can think of sometimes that's a bad thing when you just want to traditional Vietnamese cuisine, Nice in the summer time to sit over 16 street and watch people while kicking back with a big bowl of Pho

If I still lived in Chicago, I would have given this place three stars because Chicago has great Pho places. Now that I live in New York where there are no authentic delicious Pho places, I thought Pho79 was just fine. I got what I needed. Spring roles were awful - it seems like they made it yesterday and served it today. The rice paper was hardened beyond belief.

    (4)
  • Jamie L.

This Pho 79 is closer in preparation and quality to the Federal location. I'm still a sucker for their Combination Rice Plate, and they're open till 10 where the other locations close at 9. So that's how I ended up there. My only complaint, however, is that the pricing here is completely different than the prices listed on the menu on their website. Like nearly twice as much. $17 for a plate that I pay $10 for in Littleton and Federal, at the SAME RESTAURANT. It's even got LESS food and variety than the $10 plate in Littleton. (No pork or Roast Pork, just beef and Shrimp, albeit 1 more shrimp.) But still... That's just too much of a premium for me to pay.... for the privilege of skirting homeless people and smoking hipsters to pick up my food on the 16th street mall... Even if it IS after 9pm. I'll stick to the other locations.

Seriously? Adding "1" before my friend's tip!!!! Why not adding more? Terrible place. Not recommend to go.

    (1)
  • Catherine D.

Being that I've been to both restaurants I can say that I like the one in Lakewood better. Honestly I didn't like the way my vegetables were served during my last visit. They had a lot of brown spots and holes in the leaves as though the bugs ate through my basil :(

    (3)
  • Awesome L.

Ordered the rare steak pho, more than enough meat and noodles. The broth was delicious but not the best pho I've had, still really good though! The place is clean and service was friendly and efficient, I'll most certainly be back

Pho79 gets a review (1-10) of 7.9 from me. This place won't break the bank and you're certain to leave with a full tummy but the atmosphere and service leaves a little to be desired. I wouldn't recommend having a date or important business meal here, but if you and your buddies are looking for a cheap meal of something different than standard go-to's, this place will serve the purpose. My personal favorite move to get take-out so I can avoid the staff who seems to be only trained on timeliness but not friendliness as I'm certain the busy lunch hour is the breadwinner opposed to other times and days. With that being said, the large spring rolls from the appetizer menu are Awesome, Amazing and A-great-item... all with capitol A's! Every time I do takeout, I get an order to eat at the bar while I wait! Yummy.

    (3)
  • Jennifer B.

Ate here several times for lunch. Always ordered Pho noodle soup but the other entrees I've seen also look good. Staff is not the friendliest but they do get you in and out as fast as they can, which is good during the busy lunch rush.

While in Denver, we were really craving pho - as it was downtown and we were on the way to the airport, we thought we should try this place out. Ordered a special beef pho - it was flavourless. We were so disappointed. This place definitely does not cater to the asians, even though it is managed by asians. Will never come back here again!

  • Lynn T.

Closest thing to my mom's home cooking. It's authentic and yummy. Service is good, restaurant is clean and has a good, mellow vibe. Best Vietnamese food in Denver.

    (5)
  • Davin R.

Very tasty. Lots of choices, from authentic to Americanized. Huge, enormous portions: nobody at our table of six finished their regular phos. Dishes were milder than other pho places Ive eaten at, which was fine by me but some of my friends needed a lot of srirarcha. Fast service. Would definitely go back.

    (4)
  • Kay R.

This place has the best Vietnamese food. The crepe is to die for and I also highly recommend the Vietnamese sandwhich. The staff is super friendly and went above and beyond to make us happy. I come here every time we are in the Denver area and will continue to do so.

Horrible customer service. Messed my takeout order up. And they stood by their kitchen's word that it was correct. I headed back with my food and proved their kitchen wrong. They messed up. I got a small apology and thankfully my money back.

  • Scott P.

Straight fire...get the B4 vermicelli bowl. So good. Lunch prices are reasonable but increase for dinner (keep in mind the portion sizes increase, so if you love it...it is worth it!

    (5)
  • Yanhua P.

Here on Monday for lunch and had pho #7,8, and 12. Overall the broth was tasty and the meat was tender. The tripe was a little tough, and the price was higher than other pho shops outside downtown. The portion size was good, although I think the veggie plate is missing the culantro that I usually find elsewhere.

    (3)
  • julie n.

Great view of downtown. $9 for a regular sized bowl, ouch. But they gotta pay their rent somehow. Same owners as the original Pho 79 on Federal so the quality is the same.

    (4)
  • Courtney E.

Hands down the best Pho in Denver. It's about time they got a good Pho restaurant in downtown. Love, love, love them!! You definitely won't be disappointed.

    (5)
  • Kristen N.

It is nice to have a new(er) Pho option close to my office. This place was super packed at lunch on a weekday, but that's not to say we didn't get a table rather quickly. The service was friendly, quick, and observant. My water was never more than an inch empty...maybe a little too observant. :) The pho broth is really flavorful and all the side veggie fixings were crisp and fresh. The meat serving in a regular sized bowl was pretty standard and seemed like good quality meat.

  • Bobby T.

Advised by my Vietnamese colleagues that this is the best Pho in the downtown area, I always come here with them on the gloomy, cold, rainy/snowy work days for some hot Pho love. I'm a Heartland kinda guy, so I almost always get the rare steak. Add a little Sriracha and oyster sauce, some sprouts, a squirt of lime: Heaven. Service is quick, they keep your water glass full, and are always willing to split the check. They recognize us now, too, so we always get the same table. My only bitch is that the booths are too damn tight. Thus the need to sit at a table.

    (4)
  • Susi H.

Hd lunch here with friends on a rainy Sunday. We love pho, so this was exactly what the doctor ordered on a wet day. I ordered the regular size pho #7 with brisket and flank. The broth was tasty and plenty of sprouts, lime wedges and jalapeño were brought to the table for everyone to share. They were, however, not as fresh and crisp as I am used to at COS lemon grass (see my review). Also the cilantro was missing, so only fresh Thai basil was included in the additions at the table. That was a bit disappointing. I guess I have been spoiled now when it comes to pho, but overall it was a good bowl of soup and I am glad we stopped by.

  • Ana M.

Let me start off by saying that I had never had pho before this so the whole idea is kind of new to me. I'm not a huge soup person but I'm open minded and even though the menu had a few other options, I had to try the pho. I was a little overwhelmed by the menu so I ordered the steak pho and we got an egg roll appetizer. The egg rolls and came with a lot of greens and they were pretty decent. Even though they were only two of them, they were big and cut in half. When the pho came out it was a little overwhelming. To be honest, we didn't specify size but I'm assuming they gave us the large ones by default because these bowls were gargantuan. There was a lot of meat and it was pretty good. The soup itself has an interesting taste. I started following my girl's lead and mixing in all the sauces on the table until it had a little more color. That made it a lot better, for sure. The rice noodles in it were delicious but eating so many of them got a little sickening. When all was said and done, neither of us had finished even half of it. I was satisfied though. The place had really speedy service and it was a really cheap meal.

This is EXACTLY what I have been wanting in the downtown area. I hate having to go far (Lakewood) to get some good Pho. Or deal with horrible lines and service within the city. Pho 79 is in the upstairs area the 1600 Champa building (corner of Champa and the 16th st mall). They have a nice looking outdoor patio and garage doors/huge windows. Great for really nice days! The interior is nicely designed and comfortable. I came here on a weekday evening. It wasnt too busy but still some other customers around. The service was great. Both our server and the host came by multiple times to make sure everything was good/refill drinks. Fun to talk to also...we chatted with the host for a few minutes about the resturant and such. The food is also pretty damn good. I wont say its the best pho I have ever had, but its top 3 for sure. The portions are very ample too. I got the large...MASSIVE. The regular is probably the best bet. You would still probably have leftovers with that. We had the rare beef/tripe bowl and a shrimp bowl. Rare beef/tripe was great. I tried some of the shrimp and that was very good too. I just finished eating my leftovers from last night...I am seriously considering going back for more right now!!

My fellow Pho-loving co-worker and I were counting down the days until this place opened. We have been for lunch about once a week since then, and they are finally getting everything running smoothly. Two sizes of Pho- Large and Medium, the medium is more than enough for me. The broth isn't too salty or watery- it's very well-seasoned and I don't feel I add much extra's to it so I can savor the natural flavors. I have tried the rare steak, chicken, and meatball pho and they were ALL good. The eggrolls are good too! Only bummer is they serve pepsi products- so those rare ocasions I want something other then water, I try the lemonaide instead. Definitly a favorite lunch spot downtown.

    (4)
  • Peter C.

Hmm well I loved it the first time I went when It opened but its been all downhill ever since. Broth is watery and lacks the rich bold flavor I look for in a bowl. Orders are ready in a ridiculously short amount of time. The noodles are often cold and lumped together, maybe the broth was hot at some point, but after adding the cold noodles and various other chilled toppings the soup often comes out lukewarm. I want my soup to come out HOT! 2 stars for not trying very hard.

  • Sean W.

Their website says they're open til 10pm Sunday-Saturday. It's 8:15 on Monday nite and we just called. They answer the phone "hello?" and when we asked if this was Pho 79, he rudely said, "yeah but the kitchen is already closed." Why post hours if you're not going to stick to them? And seriously, closing almost two hours early is a bit excessive.

    (1)
  • Joana H.

my co workers & I visit this place often, its not the best in town but if you work downtown and are craving pho on a cold day this is the place. staff is nice and are attentive. Lunch hour is really busy so just plan to wait at least 10-15 mins for a table.

    (3)
  • Thomas G.

Great for groups! Great food and a good value. We particularly like that we can have a nice lunch and make it back to the office. The pho is really good, but I haven't tried the other menu offerings. I also appreciate that they will split a bill up for the whole group. Everyone's got plastic, right?

    (4)
  • Michelle J.

Cheap, fast and delicious!!! My sister and I split a small bowl of the #2 Rare Steak (Tai). Authentic, very flavorful pho and it was more than enough for us to split (although if you come really hungry, don't share, you're gonna want your own). We also had the Vietnamese Eggrolls - delicious little crispy wonton rolls stuffed with pork, Shiitake mushrooms, rice vermicelli and veggies. YUMM. Dip one of those in your beef broth pho and bring on the happy nom noms and a very satisfied warm belly.

  • Lisa G.

Came here specifically to introduce a friend to pho and spring rolls. The spring rolls were bangin', but the pho left something to be desired. It's all about the broth, which was kind of tasteless. Service was nice, however, and the portions and pricing were good. On the nicer side of typical Asian decor, but nothing at all fancy.

Yummy Pho. Huge servings and reasonable prices.

Just flew in yesterday from California and really wanted a nice bowl of authentic PHO. I can tell by the reviews this place may not be the best, but will do the job if stuck downtown w/o a car. Well... After walking many blocks, they had the door locked at 8:20pm, althought the restaurant's hours are till 9:00pm. The waiter who cam to the door didn't seems to care at all. Nice way to start off, I guess they have enough business to close early.....

    (1)
  • Jared L.

2 stars for hard boba in my Thai Tea? Brought it up to the staff and they didn't correct... bit disappointed because I love the original 79 on federal.

  • Glen C.

Solid. Pho is tough to screw up but it's also tough to be delicious. This place in downtown Denver was just that. Solid. The service was QUICK.. we sat, ordered, ate, paid and left all within 40 minutes. That included the spring rolls and chao gao that we ordered and drink refills. For a cold winter day in Denver, a $10 bowl of Pho hit the spot. Lunch time was a bit crazy and I can't tell you about the parking situation since you pretty much walk all over the downtown area.

Only reason it gets 3 stars is the location. The pho wasn't that great. I left wishing I had just made the drive to Pho Duy. (Federal & Kentucky.) broth seemed watered down, and the noodles felt like I was eating plastic. Still better then Pho 555

The best pho on the mall. Not exactly a high bar, but still - it's something. Not the most authentic or savory vietnamese food ever, but it is a comfortable location with a full bar.

Four stars, because this place is downtown, nice inside and makes a pretty good bowl of pho. It's not my absolute favorite Vietnamese place in Denver. But the fact that it's right next to my work makes it a convenient place to eat. It's also pretty darn good. I like the vermicelli bowls, especially the chicken. It's sweet and savory. The fish sauce is really fishy, so be careful with that if you're sensitive to fish like me. The pho is decent and hot, usually with quite a few onions, which I like. My friend raved about the spring rolls. All in all, I really like this place.

Food was descent. Service was not the best. Yes, I went during a lunch hour, but that should not stop a restaurant from having excellent service. At any Pho restaurant I've been to, spicy garlic sauce is always on the table. I had to ask 3 times for it to be brought. Drink refills were slow also.

Clearly I am a regular at the Highlands Ranch location but to have my favorite Pho spot only a few short blocks from my office downtown? Sold! A regular #16 please and I am never afraid to ask for a fork. Chopsticks, noodles and I don't get along. Service was good and it's a little more expensive than the location in HR but well worth it to me. Woohoo!

Been here twice, got the pho and spring rolls the first time and vermicelli the second. The vermicelli wasnt good. The pho was good. Spring rolls were ok. Busy during lunch on a cold day.

Pretty much the only game in the downtown area for business people. It fills up daily at 11:30 - if you don't make it by then, I would pass. The wait can be terrible. However, the food is good and consistent. I always get the Dac Biet. My wife prefers this place over all others, but I think there are better places if you want to drive.

Finally! Real pho downtown! Real chop sticks! Real pho! REAL pho! Pho real!! So good! There are only two choices for size; regular and large. I had a a bowl of regular and with a tip, left paying $10.64. Service was better than on Federal, they must know the downtown crowd won't tolerate not being checked on. My water was refilled often and they checked on me which as I said, was nice. So turn that frown upside down and go get some real pho downtown!

Very nice place. Great environment. Delicious food and you get a lot of it. I've had the rice and noodle bowls. Friendly staff.

Good Pho downtown, but their service is so slow! I'd love to keep coming here for lunches but it's almost always a hassle to place our order and get the check. I'll keep tryin' though, because hot d@*n, I love their food.

Only spot keeping honest tasty Vietnamese in Denver downtown. Broth is always clean and well balanced.

Love this place! Smack in the center of downtown with nice booths lined along the windows where you can see some of downtown. The Pho was some of the best I've had. Very flavorful broth and it was BOILING hot, which I love because I like to get my rare steak on the side and cook it a few pieces at a time. We also got the egg rolls for an app and they were great. They appeared to be pan fried instead of deep fried gave them all of the crisp without tasting like a log of crunchy oil like a lot of egg rolls. Come get some!!!

What I had? Well-done steak and flank Pho (I think) Food review: Yayyyy! Finally a good Pho place in downtown. That "pho place down the street" is a joke. While it's not the best I've had, it is certainly up there. The pho had a good amount of meat which I found the first few pieces to be a little dry but it was subtle. The broth was a little strong on the onion side as well but once again... this is a very picky criticism and did not detract from the overall goodness that was this pho. Overall, I'm breathing a sigh of relief that I now have a good pho place to go to for lunch during the week. Service? I had a pretty late lunch here so it was hardly busy at all when I was there but the waiter wasn't terribly attentive for being as empty as they were. It wasn't terribly poor service though. Other thoughts: Also ordered a Pineapple boba tea and that was pretty darn good. I was a little sad you couldn't get lychee jellies with it though.

Great place downtown for Pho. Really close to our home and we've eaten hear 4-5 times - each experience very good. Prices are great and the service is quick.

First time to Denver, close to where we were staying. We were pleasantly surprised due to first impression of the location of the restaurant. Prices are decent and the food is great. Friends had the pho and thought it was quite good. huge bowls, spring rolls were also great. I had the rice and pork and found it to be tasty. Quaint location & decent food. Will definitely return if time allows during our stay .

taste good. But expensive than other same Pho79 store. I guess because of the location.

Uh, I'm not sure about everyone else but for someone who eats Pho religiously like me...this place is a disgrace. No flavor at all and is quite overpriced. Well, I understand the overpriced part of it because of it's location and what not but if you're gonna have expensive food that's actually worth less, at least make it good. My friend ordered $5 spring rolls. For $5, I could have bought the ingredients to make my own batch! Anyhow, these spring rolls were disgusting. The shrimp inside tasted sooo refrigerated and old, and the peanut sauce was watered down. We ordered pho, which was lacking flavor as well. In my view, it tasted like water down pho broth and sink water. YUCK. Never will eat here again.

Real Vietnamese downtown? I'm down with that... Thanks pho 79 for bringing the real authentic flavors. I'm always downtown for work and school and Federal is little far of a drive for an hour lunch break. This is so convenient! We came here for grand opening and the food was great. The servers were lively and friendly. I will be coming here often!

  • Leslie R.

I decided to check this place out and see how it compares to it's other stores. The inside is nice and it was bustling on a Wednesday lunch hour. The Pho is pricier than the others, $9 for a bowl of Pho. I'm used to paying $5 or $6. I ordered the veggie and tofu pho with a side of Tai. They brought the Tai on the side nice and rare so I could add it when I wanted and determine the temperature of the Tai. It came with the usual fixings. The veggie broth was just ok, next time I might just have the Tai. I love a good veggie broth so I was a little disappointed, but at least now I know not to order it next time. The staff is friendly and accommodating, but I think next time I'll stick to the Pho on Federal.

  • Mailou V.

Great location and atmosphere here. Service was good and so was the pho as always. The only thing that threw me off were the size options. I wish there were a medium so that I didn't have to eat a large (which is the regular) or extra large. However, portion sizes were generous. Would definetly come back

    (4)
  • Wade B.

Pho and vermicelli bowls here are decent. It isn't the best I've had, but also isn't bad. A-OK. This location can get very crowded at lunch -- usually best to get there around 11:30 to avoid waiting. Prices are inflated quite a bit in relation to the other Pho79 locations.

    (3)
  • Michelle F.

Good food... HUGE portions. Definitely worth the price, which is very affordable.

    (4)
  • Huy P.

Pho 79 still not the best Pho in Town. However you only find those places on Federal. If you need a Pho fix in Downtown, hands down this place beats all others. So I do recommend coming here when you have no other options. Beware it is overpriced though, but thats the price you pay for Downtown.

Let me start off by saying that I live right next door to this restaurant, and was eating here twice a week until recently. I also employ 140 employee's who I would send here, as well as referring the few hundred people who live in my building (I had previously rated them a "top star" on my residence web site. However, my last 2 experiences have been bad, so the comments on decreasing service are absolutely correct. In my most recent vist for take out, they gave me the wrong meal (but charged me for the more expensive). I walked back and returned it, and they "withheld" my correct soup because I did not return the one that I had started eating before I realized it was the wrong one. I went back yet again, and after a lot of attitude, finally got what I thought was correct. Once I got home I realized they had still messed it up, and when I called the person working told me he "didn't have time for this". Excuse me for expecting decent service after dining at your establishment twice a week for the last 6 months and referring everyone visting, living in my building, and working for me. I guess this explains why every time I go there is less and less people dining. I couldn't figure it out originally, but now it makes sense.

Freakin phenomenal pho!!! Just as good as the old school Vietnamese restaurants that greet you from across the restaurant by holding up three fingers if there's three people in your party, pointing to the general direction of an empty table, and you order by number, and the sauces are in plastic unlabeled ketchup-shaped bottles. You know how incredible that pho is?? Well this is that pho. Except the restaurant is beautiful, clean, and the staff is very friendly, attentive, and (yes, they are not first generation Vietnamese so there is no language barrier). The server helped me pour my leftovers to take home, and I overheard them explaining to pho newbies the menu (something I learned as baptism by fire). And excellent value!!! $9 for "regular" which is easily two meals. Love love love. I'm going to need to resist the urge to come back every day.

Food adequate and quick. Service acceptable. Like the Pho's in Orange County CA a bit better. If in Denver, unless you are dying for your Pho fix, find a different place.

  • matt h.

The pho was very good, and the portion size of the "regular" is generous. As stated, the price is a bit high, it is actually $8, not $9, for a regular bowl, but it is nice inside, the service was good, and the view is nice. I would prefer a few less onions and a few more noodles, as well as smaller pieces of chicken, but overall this is a solid spot for delicious soup.

  • Favio T.

I get that this place is on the mall so the pho will be more expensive, but the broth was bland and the service was not very good. One person was rude and our main waiter screwed my order up twice. I just ended up eating it because I was hungry. Worst part about it, they weren't even busy! Just because you are downtown doesn't mean you can't put the same love into this location as your other ones. :(

Such great service and it is very quick! I go here for lunch about once a week and I'm always greeted with a smile! B4 is what I get and it's always great and so fresh. It's always so busy during the winter since it's so great. I've also heard the rare steak pho is the best especially if you add some siracha! Best pho in downtown by far!

  • Igor C.

The best thing were the shrimp "Summer rolls" with peanut sauce. I had Pho with tripe, tendon and brisket and I'm used to more of each in my pho. The broth was plain and the add-ins appeared just thrown on a plate. I don't think the server ever said a word the entire time I was there.

Stopped here during the workweek for lunch. We had a large party and once seated and finally we got our waiter's attention we put in our order right away. We all ordered pho and a few appetizers. They brought us out our egg rolls but forgot the summer rolls. Then they brought out everyone's lunch except mine (after other groups who arrived later than us had already gotten their food) so I politely asked if we could get our summer rolls and my lunch. I waited another 10 minutes and then asked again and finally 10 minutes after that our waiter walked over and must have seen the look on my face asking if everything was all right and I once again told him I was waiting on my lunch. Once I finally got my food it was good but the service was not good.

I loooooove pho 79 so when I realized there was one downtown I was even more excited about moving to LoHi. This place is by far my favorite pho restaurant and I'm kind of a pho snob . My only complaint about this spot in particular is that they do not offer "small" bowls of pho so I am obligated to order a medium which I could never finish. If it wasn't for that minor hiccup, they'd get 5 stars.

    (4)
  • Ben S.

Yeah it's ok. Not really that authentic but you can order the typical things you get on a Vietnamese menu. It's a big enough place so you could always get a table and if you want a couple of drinks next door afterwards it's pretty convenient.

  • Bhajan R.

    (1)
  • Zoe R.

  • Jordan T.

I've been here a couple times and this is one of the better pho restaurants for downtown. It's still a little price for the bowl size they offer, but I can get behind that since it's LoDo. Plenty of room in the restaurant, so it never feels cramped.

    (4)

    (3)

This location consistently closes 30 minutes before the advertised time. The manager was very rude and told me "Do you go to an interview on time or 15 minutes early?" when I told him we were upset. I'm not interviewing for a job, I'm trying to eat dinner. And now were at Pho on 6.

Being that I've been to both restaurants I can say that I like the one in Lakewood better. Honestly I didn't like the way my vegetables were served during my last visit. They had a lot of brown spots and holes in the leaves as though the bugs ate through my basil :(

Yummy.

Straight fire...get the B4 vermicelli bowl. So good. Lunch prices are reasonable but increase for dinner (keep in mind the portion sizes increase, so if you love it...it is worth it!

  • Courtney E.

Hands down the best Pho in Denver. It's about time they got a good Pho restaurant in downtown. Love, love, love them!! You definitely won't be disappointed.

  • Michele B.

    (2)
  • Glen C.

    (3)
  • Nick M.

Only reason it gets 3 stars is the location. The pho wasn't that great. I left wishing I had just made the drive to Pho Duy. (Federal & Kentucky.) broth seemed watered down, and the noodles felt like I was eating plastic. Still better then Pho 555

    (3)
  • Cory R.

The best pho on the mall. Not exactly a high bar, but still - it's something. Not the most authentic or savory vietnamese food ever, but it is a comfortable location with a full bar.

    (2)
  • Laurie W.

    (4)
  • Bon V.

    (2)
  • Renee W.

Woohoo!

    (4)
  • Travis C.

Been here twice, got the pho and spring rolls the first time and vermicelli the second. The vermicelli wasnt good. The pho was good. Spring rolls were ok. Busy during lunch on a cold day.

    (3)
  • Haden B.

    (3)
  • Heidi S.

    (4)
  • Leonard E.

Very nice place. Great environment. Delicious food and you get a lot of it. I've had the rice and noodle bowls. Friendly staff.

    (4)
  • Rachel M.

Good Pho downtown, but their service is so slow! I'd love to keep coming here for lunches but it's almost always a hassle to place our order and get the check. I'll keep tryin' though, because hot d@*n, I love their food.

  • Lorem I.

Only spot keeping honest tasty Vietnamese in Denver downtown. Broth is always clean and well balanced.

    (4)
  • Joseph Z.

    (5)
  • Jeffrey E.

  • VT W.

taste good. But expensive than other same Pho79 store. I guess because of the location.

    (3)
  • Cassie n.

    (1)
  • Mai Linh N.

    (5)

  • Jared J.

Finally a good Pho place on 16th :)

    (4)

    (3)

    (3)

Gave us a small when we ordered a large, charged us for a large. We got it to go do we did not realize until it was too late to do anything about it.
