Tried the Dan Dan noodles this time and I have to say it is one of their better dishes. It is a noodle dish with a spicy ground chicken sauce accompanied with some vegetables/sprouts. It is much better than the rice dishes and the portion was enough for two meals.

Not a bad place to go to. Very clean and you can tell the moment you walk in. Food is good as well too. Nice weekend staff.

Restaurant is always cold (think I mentioned this on an earlier tip). However, the food is really good and I always get two meals out of it as there's no way I can finish the whole thing!

This was our second visit using a BOGO coupon. We looked at the big lighted menu on the way to the cashier. It was vague and we wanted to know what exactly was in the dishes. We walked up to the cashier and there was a more descriptive menu. We both ordered the Spicy Korean Chicken. Last time we both ordered the Thai Coconut Chicken. We paid at the cashier and proceeded with our cups to get water. At the beverage station, there were To Go containers, utensils, individually wrapped fortune cookies, jars of mustard and chili paste. On the tables, there were extra plates and napkins. The music was blasting. The plates of food were brought to our table. The Spicy Korean Chicken was not very spicy. We almost used a whole jar of chili paste. The entree had mushrooms, green beans, carrots, onions, and tender white meat chicken. I liked the Thai Coconut Chicken better, but wanted to try something else. We may be back if I have another coupon.

I eat here regularly but I am not very impressed. Food is only ok, but I love the fact that they have Sushi.

I stopped eating at any Pei Wei a few years ago when they had some consistent menu items that were always terrible... I was in the area and I didn't want subway, or Qdoba, or einstein's so Pei Wei here I come! I ordered the shrimp Pad Thai. My wait wasn't bad at all and the food was crazy hot and fresh. it tasted pretty good, tho I wished i had got the vegetarian instead of spending money on the shrimp. the shrimp wasn't great. The flavors were delicious tho, and the texture of the noodles was nice. I think i could consider Pei wei an option again now!

Not good. Let's start with the service. After placing my order to go, I was told to wait anywhere in the restaurant with a 10 minute wait on my food. After 20 minutes of waiting, I approached the counter and told them I was still waiting on my order. I was told that my name had been called 10 minutes prior and my food was ready to go. This bothers me and exemplifies very poor service. The lady who took my order was in direct line of sight of where I was sitting, is it too much to ask to run my food over, or maybe try my name again? Doesn't make much sense to me, and sets a poor example for a first time customer. The food: I got the Pad Thai noodle bowl with Chicken. Nothing to write home about, pretty bland with little cilantro / sprouts / the fixings that make a noodle bowl what it is. I will not be returning due to poor (borderline rude) service and sub-par food with a high price tag.

Got take out tonight. The pork egg rolls were very good but they were a little greasy. I had honey seared chicken with brown rice and we had the Thai lettuce wraps. It was good, like another review - it did taste fresher than Pandas. Even the fortune cookies were fresher. It was fast service too!

The manager was very nice to us. We ordered a chicken and shrimp mongolian bowl. The chicken was a little undercooked (at least it seemed) The guy told us it's chewy because it's "steamed" Lol. Never heard that excuse before but ok. This was my 5th or 6th time eating that meal specifically from this location and I never had that issue. Anyway I give it 4 stars because the manager took it back to the kitchen and had it remade with extra chicken and extra shrimp. The place is pretty decent as well as the people and we usually sit on the patio.

My guy and I eat here pretty regularly because the food is usually really good and clean...so to our surprise the chicken in both our dishes was not cleaned well, a lot of rubbery pieces. I asked our friends that came with us and they also noticed the decline in quality of the chicken. So sad, hard to find places with higher quality of food.

I've started coming to Pei Wei sometimes as an alternative from my usual work lunch spots. It's owned by PF Changs and it's not quite the same, but they have a few dishes that are always very good. I'm a fan of the Pei Wei Spicy (think General Tso's) Chicken and the Mongolian Beef. The Diner Select options are great for lunch, because they come with soup or a spring roll and it's a smaller portion. I recommend not eating in between noon and 1; it's packed, which makes service confused and slow. My friend with Celiac's ended up with regular sweet and sour shrimp instead of gluten-free spicy shrimp, which is never a good thing. However, they're awesome at takeout. I tend to use the online system, and my orders have always been 100% accurate and ready or almost ready when I arrive. Servers are always friendly and take the time to make sure I have everything I need before I head out the door. The verdict? Okay for eating in, great for takeout.

ok... I used to LOVE PeiWei and frequented this location many times in the past. Last time, I tried a new noodle dish and was sorely disappointed in the soggy noodles... since then I had been going to the location off Buchtel, until tonight. I stopped at the Lowry location since it was on my way home from work, looking forward to the delicious Pad Thai after a looooong work day. I found the portion smaller than I recall (my poor memory, or are they skimping?) and mushy, gross, nasty noodles. I'm home already, but had I chosen to eat in store, I would have returned my food. I'll stick to Buchtel where the cooks are competent enough to make noodles correctly...

What Chipotle did to Mexican and Noodles did to pasta, Pei Wei does to Asian. The service was fast, the food tasty and the prices reasonable. I will definitely keep this on my list of places close to the abode for quick dinning.

Was not feeling the cooking bug Sunday evening and this seems to be one of the only places opened after 6pm on a Sunday. First impression was OMG - they are completely slammed! I was quickly told that they were just hit with a ton of orders and the wait would be greater than normal. Since I already made the trip I decided to opt to wait it out. I ordered an egg roll and some kind of chicken dish. They were so slammed they even locked the door so no one could come in - it's bad. The service was quite impressive considering the magnitude of orders they had. Those of us waiting take out were offered complimentary wine/beer/fountain beverages - I opted for a fountain beverage and enjoyed talking to patrons while I waited for the food. They must have encountered some really nasty customers, they were so apologetic and kept telling me how nice I was because I wasn't angry. I knew what I was walking into and I've worked in customer service - no biggie for me really. I was even given some extra spring rolls for the wait on the house. Normally I would have appreciated this but since it was just me they kind of went to waist (sadness). The egg roll, spring roll, and spicy/sweet chicken dish were good, not great but decent. This is a solid place for take out Chinese, I'd call ahead or use their App. Much better than Panda Express. Kudo's to the great staff!

This asian fusion bistro gets the job done. Take out is my usual method of enjoying Pei Wei. The pork eggrolls are fab with a bit of mustard and hot chili sweet sauce. The garnish on the chicken teriyaki bowl makes it for me; spinach and scallions. I like the clean lines to the interior, the well stocked self serve drink station and the staff has been accomodating and pleasant on repeat visits. The red floors pop out at you. One final note: The non-skimpy paper napkin seals the deal for me. I wish more places would give this type of paper napkin if they can't do cloth. It's thick, large and feels like cloth. Love this feature.

I would actually give them 3.5 stars. There food is a tad salty and I know it's own by PF Changs but it just doesn't taste the same. Although if you deviate from the menu you get the same look as if you were putting your cat into a bath. If you are doing take out it is much better to call ahead. If you wait until you are there it seems to take forever to get your food.

Stopped by after work and I wasn't sure that to expect. Really excellent food at a great price--only coat me 8 bucks and I left feeling very full. I didn't even finish my plate. So great value for your money. Menu was a little confusing at first but the man at the front was very helpful. The pad Thai was tasty and perfectly spicy. Only detriment is it's not as fast as other "fast casual" places so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Not ideal for a lunch break.

Love this place! Food is always great and comes out fast. I actually just ordered the wrong thing (my fault) and wanted to pay for the right dish and they refused payment and made me a new dish! Even asked if I wanted to keep the other for free! Awesome management.

We stopped in for a quick bite before the dinner rush not knowing what to expect. Rich the cashier was awesome. He welcomed us with a smile, explained the menu & made recommendations. The restaurant was very clean & provided excellent service. Highly recommend the Mongolian Steak Combo &The Traditional Chicken Lettuce Wrap. We'll be back again soon to try other menu items

Disappointing. On a very low carb diet, so no potatoes, bread, pasta or sugar. Figured I could get grilled steak and veggies with no sauce, pasta or rice and a side salad. Order take out and find some sort of coating on the steak...kind of like a chicken fried steak. Call them, it is a potato starch coating (which isn't listed on the menu, nor how the steak is cooked). They offer to make me a new one without the starch and to come pick it up. Same thing...starch coating. Really irratating and will not eat there again as it seems they don't have truly "Wok Fresh" entrees. Why put a coating on steak if there is going to be no sauce? Pre-packaged meat and NOT FRESH. Be wary if you are trying to eat healthy.

I'm always a little bit skeptical going to asian places on the mainland, but this place definitely surprised me. It's own by PF Changs and it's sort of their take out version of the restaurant. This location was fairly large, clean and the cashiers/staff were super friendly. I got the dinner meal deal, with mongolian chicken and spring roll. Pretty tasty for a take out asian place, and the chicken was well seasoned, not too dry. The sauce was delicious as well. The spring roll was decent, with a good sauce.

Panda Express possibly has better food. Very disappointing. Too much sauce, and food is excessively shinny.

Super friendly cashiers and waitstaff. Food is ALWAYS fresh and made as you order it. Big fan of- -crab wontons with sweet chili sauce -pork eggrolls -honey chicken -kung pao chicken I dont usually stray from the things I like so I haven't tried a fare share of different options. But I keep coming back.

Thank goodness for Pei Wei in Lowry. I discovered their chicken teriyaki last night and I think I'll be ordering it all the time from now on! It's much better than your typical asian fast-casual food and doesn't leave you feeling nauseous afterwards... (I'm looking at you, Bam Bu.)

Food is great, but customer service is lacking. Cashier was rude and extremely awkward. Why should the customer be the first to say hello? Pretty sure I wasn't the only one in there with the problem...another table had a problem with their order.

I like Pei Wei but the wait can get pretty long so call ahead for take out. We like the Chicken Salad rolls... Kinda like Thai Spring rolls and the order includes 3. Unfortunately for some reason they were out today... Along with a few other items. That was annoying but I will still come back when I'm in the mood. Honey seared chicken, extra spicy is also good. Convenient location in Lowry fronting to Quebec.

To preface, my review is based on take-out food; I haven't eaten IN the restaurant, so I cannot comment on decor, cleanliness etc. I ordered a small sweet & sour chicken with brown rice, and let me tell you their small is big! Plenty of well-seasoned chicken in a tangy sauce. Their rice was very blah. Maybe it's just cause, you know, it's brown rice and it's meant to be blah, but it was a bit of a let down. We also ordered two appetizers to share-- the crab cheese wontons (or crab Rangoon in my world) and the pork egg rolls. The crab cheese wontons were very odd tasting-- like they were over seasoned with black pepper. I didn't care for them. The pork egg rolls though-- holy cow! I highly, highly recommend these guys! Apparently they sell cookies too (which I didn't know). The chocolate chip cookies have a nice texture but they taste odd and kind of fruity. Stick with the sweet and sour chicken and the pork egg rolls!

Meh I've had better at other locations. Pei Wei is like upscale takeout so my expectations aren't too high but I don't know why but my usual order Thai dynamite with tofu that usually knocks my socks off just wasn't very good. My rice was really dry and undercooked and it seemed like the dish had too much sauce but was still dry and bland. I left a little disappointed, so I probably won't be back, especially considering that you can get twice the food for the price at Panda Express!

Really clean location, easy menu and fast service!Everybody was friendly and to the gentleman who made sure the dining area stayed clean, an extra thank you to you!! Especially after a slight lunch rush ! Ordered the Kung pao chicken with brown rice, it was good not overly sauced. After signing up for their rewards system I'll be back to try those lettuce wraps

I had dinner here recently and wasn't super impressed. I ordered an 8 piece sushi and lettuce wraps. After ordering and paying for our food, someone came over and informed me that they only had enough sushi for a 4 piece order and asked me what else I wanted instead. They didn't really explain why and when I asked if I could choose another type of sushi they said they were out of everything. It seemed strange to me that on a Friday night at 6:30pm they would be completely unable to offer an entire section of their menu. The lettuce wraps were the highlight of the meal, but I'm still not sure if I'll be back.

I went in for lunch the other day and had the combination Pad Thai with a couple additions to it and it was actually pretty damn good! I had the larger of the two dishes and it was more than enough... I ate half of it and was stuffed. I actually ended up taking the rest home and having it for dinner. The only thing that I would say that I didn't really care too much for is the pad thai was pretty salty. Unfortunately, I don't know if it was because of how they made it or if it was because I added some chili sauce to it to make it extra spicy. Nonetheless, I definitely would go back again... lunch or dinner! Oh yeah... they have bottled beer you can purchase, I got a large Supporro (sp) it was a little pricy (6.50) but it was a solid addition to my meal.

Good food. Fast service. They recognize my phone # when I call and know my order history, making it easy to call for take out. This is one of my regular places to go for short order food and I am hard to please.

Don't try their new Korean beef. Horrible. Just like most of their food and PF Chang for that matter. Overly spicy sauce masks the true flavor of the beef. It's obvious they are using low quality meat.

Pei Wei is not bad, just ok. It's fine for a quick meal near home, when I don't want a pizza, or a burger. I don't often think about going here, so it hasn't made that deep of an impression on me.

  • Brant K.

Food is pretty good. Not outstanding but consistent and good. Service is good. Quick to fix mistakes and quick with food in general. Really like that I can do a take out order online and have it ready when I get there.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
