After a long long hiatus, swung back and checked out Pei Wei this week. I also checked out ratings for this place over the last year -- and sadly mine is consistent with the majority of them. I took my order take-out, and it is solely on the taste of the food I am reporting -- not the service, which was not bad. I find it slightly overpriced for what you are getting. I had the "dan dan", which I've had equivalents of at other chains, which is "chile seared soy sauce, minced chicken, scallions, garlic, bean sprouts, cucumbers, egg noodles". My noodles came to me about as orderly as anything pre-packaged out of a container separated by plastic pouches -- noodles separate from a small area of chicken with sauce, veggies separated from that. I was hoping for something kinda "wok-prepared", but Pei Wei lists noodle bowls slightly differently from their "wok'd" entries. It sure would have helped. Had to stir everything up myself, and tried to make sure the sauce got all over the noodles and the veggies. Had a bite -- bland. Even the sauce itself was not what I would call chile *seared* -- maybe *kissed* by some chiles. What a disappointment. I also ordered their new "crunch" rolls, which are versions of their existing 2 rolls wrapped in "crunchy tempura flakes". Sadly, whatever it was I got barely measured up to panko flakes patted around the smaller-sized sushi rolls, about 1" in diameter. For me that's the inside of my fingers as I make an "ok" sign. Your hands may vary in size, but these rolls didn't -- but I could have forgiven that if there'd actually been any crunch to them. Finally had their "Thai wonton soup" containing thai chicken wontons, spinach, scallions, Thai basil, lemongrass. Plenty of greenery, and the broth is...not bad. Hints of some five spice in there. As far as lemongrass goes, I think whoever prepared it just waved some lemongrass over it -- it's not like any soup I've had at a Thai place. :( Wontons were small and unremarkable. I keep returning to this place every few years thinking the name sounds cute or it remotely sounds like something exotic -- it's anything but and I think the illusion has finally sunk in for me. There's a very good Thai place up S Colorado a few blocks, as well as an Asian fusion place, and further up,. a Chinese place, that gets the idea that your meal should have some remarkable flavor for you to be happy. That lesson has been lost at Pei Wei.

Most of their sauces are too sweet, so get something spicy and it will taste pretty legit. Though it has that "chain" pre-fab taste. However! The spring rolls are consistently amazing and that brings up a rating in my book, and the vegetables are the freshest vegetables I've ever had anywhere. So much snap in those peas! I eat here on occasion, and it's always good.

Service was great, but that was the saltiest Kung Pao I've ever had!! And I love salty foods. Next time I'll just go down the street to Kokoro and get some real food :-/

Chain upper-mediocre Chinese food. I do like some of their food, but that's about it. Most of their food just isn't that good. Soup and wontons are pretty alright at least. But the staff is the killer. I think I've only ever seen one smile there. The staff seems like they are all at the tail-end of a string of 7 back-to-back open-to-close shifts. Gruff, slightly rude, and often don't greet nor thank customers.

I try not to spend time reviewing chain food, but I know lots of other folks enjoy them so here goes. This is a quantity not quality modus operandi. Every dish is 2 portions served to you in a gigantic bowl, oh marrone. The food itself is not bad, but it's nothing to write home about. I usually get shrimp and they are not the texture I am used to getting when I go to any average (authentic) Asian restaurant because they like and use super fresh seafood and Pei Wei more than likely doesn't. I've also experienced a sodium overdose here on multiple occasions, even when I managed to only eat half my dish-which I may have mentioned is a single portion.

For me this was a blend of typical Chinese food fare with a splash of Japanese on the side. I really hate the "shove em in and out" mentality and I felt just a tinge of that here with the upfront kiosk ordering but hey that's just the way it is sometimes. But once seated, the staff was accordingly punctual for a decent place and that got a thumbs up. The sauces were unique to me and neato and the open grill is awesome when the fires flare up. Checked the lo mein out (because if you blow that at an Oriental joint ....). But it was great, non greasy and the veggies really stood out.. Also had the teriyaki crunch roll and that was about an 8. So would recommend to a friend.

I love PF Changs and I heard that this was the faster food version of them, owned by the same company and everything. I got the sesame tofu and took it to go. When I got home any tasted it I think it actually tasted more like a garlic tofu. I don't know if it is just the way they make it or if they messed up my order. But it kinda put me off from Pei wei. On the good side they have a giant bowl of fortune cookies that I had my way with.

Disgusting. Way overpriced and gross badly Americanized. Ordered fried rice which had an entire eggshell cooked into it. And undercooked rice. As well as sesame chicken which consisted of little cubes of weird meat-type product. It didn't even taste like sesame chicken. This tiny meal cost us $27.00! The place was relatively crowded and I don't know how or why?! Disgusting will never return.

Though the girl who took my take-out order was friendly the food was DISGUSTING. We ordered a Thai WonTon soup - salty and the wontons were mushy and gross; Szechuan Green Beans - overcooked and salty; and Steak Thai Dynamite - salty, meat overcooked, rice was dry and tasted old and vegetables were soggy. I should have just gotten a sandwich from Which Wich next door.

The pop machine was the highlight of the meal. It is so out there. You can have all flavors of soda. I tried orange diet coke. It was not that good but gave me giggles. The grape flavor was ok but the idea was just fun. Now to the food . I had a salad and it is always good. I actually took some home. This is a good place for fast food

I've never had anything bad at PeI Wei. But I have also never had anything spectacular either. It's definitely a less expensive alternative to PF Changs, which is great. If you're in the mood for PF and don't want the high price tag, this is the place for you, the pei is wei less. :) I do appreciate the selection of vegetarian options, so my picks are the tofu/vegetable bowl with rice (the lo mein here is mushy mushy mushy, so don't subject yourself to that). The edamame is great and if you ask nicely they will make it spicy for you. :)

  • Sherrie M.

Pei Wei is just not as good as it used to be. They have changed the menu and the dishes don't have many vegetables. You have to pay extra to get vegetables. The food quality also appears to have declined. I can't say the service was good either. I asked for some sauce and was told the dish I got doesn't come with sauce. It also took 15 minutes (not during any mealtime rush) so it's not as fast as it used to be.

    (2)
  • Emily J.

Just an addendum-my sister is gluten free and was pleased to see that Pei Wei has a pretty substantial gluten free menu. She ordered what they said was a gluten free item without tofu, as the tofu has soy sauce on that is full of gluten. When she got her entree, there was tofu everywhere and soy sauce on her rice noodles. Furthermore, my sister called the restaurant and was told that their rice noodles actually have gluten in them, so they are not gluten free, yet still on the gluten free menu. I had to take their rating down a notch for their lack of integrity, and listening skills.

  • Abby V.

Unimpressive to say the least. I went with my sister and she initially ordered a lo mien noodle plate with veggies and it tasted bland and the noddles were hard. She sent it back and got a plate of Kung pow chicken with fried rice that can only be described as having the taste of wet dog. Finally, the service was horrible as we were interrupted by the manager when we were explaining that the rice didn't taste right and the hostess wasn't exactly attentive. The highlight of our meal was leaving Pei Wei. Shame.

Pei wei is an alright chain. Every now and then when I'm not feeling a particular crave, Pei Wei will be a safe choice for some fast asian food. Today, I noticed they changed their menu and had a spicy Korean dish. To my surprise, it tasted like Korean food! They actually used a Korean paste called "Gochuchang". Just a note, this flavor profile goes great with tofu and pork. But note that Pei Wei doesn't have pork. So Pei Wei if your reading this, add pork to your choices.

As crowded as this Pei Wei was today, we got top notch service. Of course you know that if you go during lunch the likelihood of finding a table is not always good. We had 6 in our party, and not sure if it was the manager, but she was so lovely! She had us write down our orders and when a table came up she was able to input them into the system faster. Additionally, we received a complimentary order of edamame for our patience. Very impressed!

  • Pixie M.

A good fast choice for lunch. I'm happy that they now have an option to ditch the heavy, sugar-laden sauce for a broth based sauce on some of their items. I agree with some of the reviews that the spicy just isn't spicy. It's fast asian-style food for the masses, but it fills a niche around my office. The service is always top-notch and the staff friendly. The atmosphere is clean and fresh. I do like they update their menu semi-regularly and they now offer the small plate options.

Typically don't review chains but couldn't help myself after today's lackluster service. I have eaten at cleaner, busier, more attentive and delicious Pei Wei's. Today was really a disappointment; part of the purpose of a franchise is enjoying consistent flavoring, service & ambiance everywhere you go... Today, this Pei Wei just let down the whole chain. Went in around dinnertime to find the dining room empty and six employees standing around their pass chatting. The entire order of service was wrong for our order - edamame, which should steam for 4-7 minutes, were served as our first appetizers; crab cheese wontons, which fry for 3-4 minutes, came out several minutes later. When entrees were served, my boyfriend got his chicken and rice meal before I got my cold chicken salad. This felt very, very backwards. On top of all of this, our edamame came with a long black hair on it, and my salad had a thick, short, coarse hair on its edge. My boyfriend also said his rice was gooey or mushy as opposed to sticky and firm, and it was not at all fragrant or fresh tasting/feeling. Overall, I was extremely disappointed and will not return to this location again.

Pei Wei is my wei! Love the food here and the service as well. Everything is fresh and made to order and delivered piping hot to your table. The dinner selects are a very affordable way to get a more than reasonable amount of food and have a fresh vegetable salad with your meal. The sesame sauce has a great flavor but a tad bit much on the sodium side!

Although I'm usually not a "fan" of so-called Chain/ Corporate places such as this one... I must post a very short but positive review. This store's manager came into my work (same building) unsolicited with a FREE catering take out container of VERY tasty/ healthy Asian steamed veggies and Chicken with no salt added!! THANK YOU! So- if you are looking for healthy fast food and are in the area of Colorado & I-25 -- make sure to pop into this Pei Wei location and support.

Meh - go to Noodles & Co. instead (just a mile away on the other side of DU campus). I love fast casual Asian food with vegetarian options, but Pei Wei was just too processed, too fake-saucy, too salty. Noodles & Co. seems more fresh, more authentic, and more healthy.

Iam giving it 3 star because the food was really good and qucik. However the girl at the door that took our order was the most confused individual i have ever seen at a restaurant. We need to give opportunities to all kinds of people but taking order is def not her strenght....

usually love pei wei but last night my husband ordered a steak dish to-go. When we got home, for some reason the chefs decided to fry the steak. To heat it up? I dont know but it was disgusting and chewy and we threw it out. Waste of $13.00. My fried rice was dry and not as delicious as it usually is, but still edible. Probably won't try to eat here an hour before they close again. Usually one of favorite places to eat.

I was looking for something new to try, the hubs wanted Which Wich next door and I just wasn't in the mood for a sandwich. Big mistake, should have just done it. I ordered the Thai Dynamite with tofu and brown rice. My rice wasn't done, it was crunchy. I don't like how they prepare their tofu in very thin strips. They were chewy. My jaw hurt by the time I was half way into the meal. There were hardly any veggies in my dish. As for dynamite, the sauce was hardly dynamite. The flavor wasn't bad, just wasn't packin the heat I was expecting. All in all my meal was a total FAIL. With Jaya and Thai Pot up the street I doubt I will be back to Pei Wei. It's worth the extra dollar or 2 you will spend to order from those places. I'm honestly surprised PW is getting good reviews.

PF Changs taste with Panda Express prices. This PF subsidiary chain is located across the street from Dave and Busters. Service is like Noodles and Co where they bring your freshly made food. Can be slow, sweet, and not authentic. 3 Stars for good tasting American Chinese food.

  • Melissa M.

I LOVE PEI WEI!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The service is decent, the food is amazing and the best part is that I don't have to pay PF Chang's prices for the hot and sour soup. I usually get the same thing every time I go in: Won ton or hot and sour soup (both good, but the Wonton sometimes has a LOT of green onions in it), lettuce chicken wraps or the chicken/rice rolls with peanut sauce (they are to die for!). Love love love love. Downside: sodium overload, so try not to go swimsuit shopping immediately afterwards (note to self).

I like Pei Wei's concept. A high-end feel cafeteria type of place. Super convenient for a quick lunch by yourself/with friends or business lunch with colleagues. This location is clean, roomy, they give you nice thick napkins and prices are reasonable. The staffs are always friendly. I once arrived at 8:59 PM (they close at 9PM) and the cashier staff still invited me to sit down and eat because I was going to walk away to find another place to eat. That's great customer service... tho I felt a little guilty, they kept telling me no problem. My favorite dish will always be the lettuce wrap. Priced at 6.75 + tax, I always ask for it to be made with light oil. The crispy lettuce is oh so fresh and so yummy with the stir fry. They also have brown rice, I dont believe there's extra charge for it so even bettah for the health conscious folks. :)

First of all I can't believe I'm doing a review for Pei Wei, but I've been a fan of this place for years. In a world of cheap/fast Asian food this place stands out as the leader. I've had nearly everything on the menu and the quality is always good. Being owned by PF Changs, they share menu items but at Pei Wei are offered at a lower price. This location does get crowded around lunch time but the staff is very efficient at moving people in and out and getting your food out quickly. If you're in the mood for good fast inexpensive Asian food, check out Pei Wei and tell them your mom sent you.

Ive always smelled Pei Wei when i left Colorado Station. I finally ventured in. I love the LED Menu Screen. I checked out the menu online and it was very reasonable. Pretty busy inside but thats never a bad thing. They also have free WIFI. The food was tasty and very flavorful and delicious. They Serve Wine and Beer as well. One drawback is that the silverware and cups seemed to be a little dirty. They might need a new dishwasher or a new person to operate the dishwasher. I will definitely be back to try more food from the menu.

We've seen this place for a while but never went because I'm not a fan of fast food Asian places. However, this place actually was pretty legit. You order your food and then about 5-10 minutes later, they make it fresh and deliver it to your table. You can tell as soon as you get your food that it was just made and smells amazing. It's definitely has higher standards than your typical Asian fast food joint. We even saw a Denver Nuggets player there so if it's good enough for a millionaire, it's good even for me. I still like Tokyo Joe's better but this place is worth an occasional stop in.

    (4)
  • Charlene K.

Pretty standard fast food Asian fare. Nothing to write home about. They have a new soda machine everyone raves about, but I don't drink soda so it wasn't a plus for me. Very loud in the dining room, not a place to have a conversation. They want you to eat and go. Their food tastes like they add sugar to all the sauces. My steak was sweet. Steak shouldn't be sweet, it should be savory.

I am referring to this location on Buchtel in particular. I have to say the first 2 times I ate here I liked the quality of my dinner,. However the last 2 times I was disappointed. I went in for a pickup dinner & there was a huge order in front of my 1..& well lets say they let my food sit on the counter for a few minutes. Then I took the food home & the veggies tasted pretty old, you know when they are limp. My daughter worked here & they have great management, they staffed her with plenty of hours. the store is clean, but I am not liking the food anymore, I may try something different & give it one more shot. I almost like Panda Express better; Than this location though there may be another location that is better. Thanks for reading.=)

Ate at this place twice on our trip to Denver. We had never eaten at on before as there are none in CT. I love the fast casual concept. The atmosphere was great, the service was fast and friendly and the prices were good. Had the honey chicken and brown rice the first time and chicken Lo mein the second time. The honey chicken was tasty and. Good choice if you don't like. Lot of vegetables. The Lo mein is good if you like a lot of crunchy vegetables. The noodles were a tad bit soft which was my only complaint. My son loved the honey chicken kids meal. Hope one comes to CT. If not, I will continue to look for this restaurant on all future trips.

Pluses for: 1. Real metal flatware (the kind you can use to hijack an airplane) 2. Excellent napkins. Large and fluffy. Not quite cloth, but very good. 3. Organization. A well-oiled PF Chang's machine. 4. Friendly workers. 5. Free Wi-Fi (except between 1800-1900, very strange) 6. Cleanliness and open kitchen. Negatives for: 1. Slightly expensive. I think every dish should be 50¢ to a buck cheaper. 2. Spicy Korean is not spicy. Spicy Korean should take the top of your head off and not just remind you a hint of picante. 3. No kick to the mustard. When I can easily eat it straight, it is lacking in the requisite hotness. 4. No Wi-Fi between 1800-1900. If you like PF Chang's, then you will like Pei Wei.

I have given this place three chances and I am done. It is not based on the food, but on the service. The first time we ordered from here, we were given someone elses order -- TWICE! The second time we went there we waited over 30 minutes for a takeout order and had to go back because they forgot part of our order. Third time, I was blatently told I couldn't get crispy noodles because they were running low...really?!? I guess making more was not an option. So sorry Pei Wei - third strike and you are out!

First Timer...busy....food not as good as some other asian places with the same price range. Chicken Chop Salad seemed mushy. Staff seemed a little frazzled. Food delivered in three shifts so two of us had food then about ten minutes before third meal and about five more mintes before final meal arrived and all on same ticket. Nice atmosphere and dining area. Bathroom clean..big plus. Noodles in everyone's food seemed soggy. Will try again at a different location and see.....

Ooooh... Pei Wei... What a delightful surprise. I am not the biggest fan of P.F. Chang's. Over-priced, under portioned and underwhelming. Pei Wei on the other hand is a revelation. Slim down the P.F. Chang's menu, knock down the price, serve it in an format two steps above McD fast food chain and voila! All of a sudden the food type and quality seem appropriate and well prepared. I have not been to many a Pei Wei, in fact if I have I don't remember. I do remember this one, in no small part to the fabulous large scale lcd monitors acting as menus right when you walk in. Want to excite me about your food, show it to me on a TV, even if I have to read it! Sincerely, I think the Pei Wei format makes all the P.F. Ch-schlock taste Pei Wei delicious. What would I recommend??? Chicken lettuce wraps, Lemon Pepper Shrimp, the Green Tea. AHH!!!!

I'm still a fan after my second visit. My daughter had the beef wrap which was really good and came with a deliciously seasoned egg-drop soup. The edemame appetizer was plain (dusted with salt) but good. My orange beef bowl was spicy :-) but a little too heavy. The pieces of beef were tender but too large - they would make the pieces small enough for one bite. This place has really become popular - the line was to the door when we went for lunch.

Tried the Pad Thai - wasn't for me but man was there a lot! I'll definitely eat the leftovers...I just won't order it again. Nothing can beat my Spicy Basil pad thai...NOTHING! I did have one spring roll as an appetizer and it was delightful. The lettuce wraps are where it's at for me! Not as busy these days since it's not brand new, got there at noon and no more than 6 people in line at all times.

Overall it was an OK experience. Will I go back? Probably not unless another friend picks it. The GOOD: - Nice portion size - Casual atmosphere - Clean - Free WiFi The BAD: - Food wasn't very good. It was very "American" Asian food. They have food from 5 or 6 countries/regions instead of focusing. - My friend found a hair in his food. The UGLY: - My fortune cookie didn't have a fortune in it :(

We have been regulars ever since Pei Wei first appeared in the DFW area, at least 20 years ago. Until about 9 months ago they have always been consistently 4 stars but they have changed for the worse. I always get shrimp lo mein. They have changed the recipe and the kind of noodles they use. The new recipe must cost less because it is no where as good as the old recipe. For years we would always stop for Pei Wei but now it is on our soon to be forgotten list. It is a shame to see an old friend go away. Maybe they can turn it around.

Ordered 8 piece sushi and chopped chix salad. Was terrible at best feel ripped off for 20.00 lunch. Used to be so good. My salad was not chopped and only had four slivers of chix on top of big pieces of lettuce, small chopped tomatoes and carrot strings. Was only given a half container of dressing. Sushi pieces were the size of pennies. What has happened?

Think PF Chang's but not as good. Fast Americanized Chinese food. Everything is very sweet and drenched in sauce. But it's fast, if you are in a hurry. I've turned the honey chicken and ginger chicken, both were edible but not enjoyable and won't be ordered again. Husband like the crab cheese wonton sauce but that's about it.

Service was great, but that was the saltiest Kung Pao I've ever had!! And I love salty foods. Next time I'll just go down the street to Kokoro and get some real food :-/

I like this Pei Wei. My food is always prepared quickly and tastes great! It's pretty easy to get in and out at this location or stay for a bit.

Iam giving it 3 star because the food was really good and qucik. However the girl at the door that took our order was the most confused individual i have ever seen at a restaurant. We need to give opportunities to all kinds of people but taking order is def not her strenght....

Shame.

I do like they update their menu semi-regularly and they now offer the small plate options.

usually love pei wei but last night my husband ordered a steak dish to-go.

Ooooh... AHH!!!!

I was so excited when I first heard that Pei Wei would be opening up right in my neighborhood. I've eaten at other locations, and have always thought it was inexpensive, but upscale modern Chinese cuisine. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by an employee, available to answer any questions or give recommendations. Their menu is slightly different than other Pei Wei's. Everything is in a bowl over rice (white or brown- fried costs $1 extra), and are organized by protein. Other Pei Wei's let you choose your protein for each dish. I guess this location does, too, but they sort of mask that fact and don't publish additional costs for changing meats. Their 'starters' are all smaller portions. Soup, edamame, or crab cheese wontons are $1.95 add on. They have some sort of a deal when you get a meal bowl where a side and drink can both be added on for $2 I believe. My boyfriend had the 'hoisin explosion beef wrap', which actually ended up being disgusting. The hoisin sauce wasn't sweet and savory, just gross, and the whole thing was overpowered by cilantro, which we normally enjoy. I had the Mongolian Beef over fried rice (extra spicy). It was quite tasty. I would definitely go back for that. And, of course, the crab cheese wontons, mmm. I'd pass on the Hot & Sour soup next time, which was entirely too sour, and not the slightest bit hot. I enjoy the fast service, leaving your plates on the table, and 'no tipping' style of dining when I'm in a rush. For a quick, cheap lunch, Pei Wei is good, but I feel like this location has lost a bit of it's luster, and you might be better off at a great hole-in-the-wall Chinese joint with a $6 lunch special.

A Yelp review in three (3) parts: 1. The people who work here are really, really nice. They must hand-pick the kindest people in town to work there. 2. The food is bland, bland, bland. "Spicy" must be their synonym for "has some bit of flavor." 3. This place is overpriced compared to the myriad other Asian restaurants in the area, portion/price wise. Bonus star for being able to take my grandma out to eat here, though. She hates spicy food.

I really wanna go 4 stars here but they burned my Pei Wei Spicy Chicken once and I just can't get over it. I've been back a few times and it's been fine but I'm always a little worried when I go back. They are really nice and the prices are about right. Ahhhhh!! Why did they have to burn it?

I love this place. The food is amazing and the dinning area is always clean. It's owned by pf changs and I think it's better. Cheaper, faster, and it tastes the same. You can guarantee that I will be here atleast once a week.

it pains me to say this -- it's just not as good as it was. they changed the menu and apparently are about to change it again. the japanese beef ramen is NOT good. at all. the beef is just too chewy, not as seared as it used to be. chicken tasted a bit off as well. and honestly, it's going to be a while before i go back.

My girlfriend and I went to take out the food. The manager was a complete jerk. We ordered white rice and he said we are out of white rice. What asian restaurant which is out of rice. Instead of being ashamed, he said you can get brown rice for extra $1.....what if we don't want brown rice. We don't get any rice with the entree. Nice job! I hope I would never have an employee like this. We just left feeling no one is welcome at this store as long as that manager is there.

It's PF Change without the snooty service! My first trip here was great, we went for a later lunch and I was the only one who had never been there. My 3 friends LOVE this place so I was excited to give it a try-I wasn't very hungry since I'd had a late lunch with some other friends but I got the lettuce wraps and it was the perfect thing to get! Light enough to not make me stuffed but enough to make it a meal. I can't remember what my friends got but I know I tasted each of their meals and they were fresh tasting, hot and really good. The sauce that comes with the lettuce wraps was a little on the salty side for me but that was the only issue I had. I will definitely be coming back to try out some other stuff.

Not back for a fast food asian restaurant. I was definitely pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my veggie and tofu garlic broccoli dish. The food was fast, it wasn't greasy and the staff was very friendly. There was a little too much sauce for my liking but other than that it was good. They also offer brown rice which is a plus and they have free fortune cookies (can't beat that!). The perfect stop for a quick lunch and I will definitely be back!

I am so close to loving the Vietnamese chicken salad wraps that they serve here. I crave them because the filling is so good and so are the two sauces that come with. But, I think they pre-make them and throw them on the plate when you order. Im sure this is common restaurant practice but it doesn't really work well with something that is wrapped in rice paper. The inside ends up watery an the parts of the rice paper that overlap get gooey and harder. I crave the filling. That makes me want to like it here more. The service is always very nice and I enjoy how friendly everyone is. The food is alright and the experience is better than fast food. I am a regular.

Pei Wei is great, and I'm so glad that there is one close to my home! I don't agree with the person who noted that Pei Wei's food is "Americanized Asian". I have found the food at Pei Wei to be flavorful and, frequently, quite spicy. The ingredients are fresh, and the portions are HUGE! I'm not a PF Chang's fan, but I'm definitely a Pei Wei fan. For the price point, I believe the food at Pei Wei is a good value. The reason I didn't give Pei Wei a full 5 stars is that I have a more favorite fast-food Asian place - Canada's Thai Express. If we could get Thai Express in Denver, I'd be in heaven!

LOVE! I've never had anything bad here. It's quick, delicious, and reasonable. My boyfriend and I love Chinese food, and this is a great Noodles-esque place to go when you want something inexpensive. We love to eat it family style. If you order a side of rice, it will be massive! I highly recommend it. The nice partt is you can go on their website and read the nutritional facts as well- which I definitely do. I find I eat less! Ha!

Ha!

Walking distance from me. Great food. Decent prices. Close to lightrail. Had the Thai coconut curry to go, thumbs up da that. Went great with a beer!! I may just have it again today!

I'm sorry but I really think Pei Wei is gross. This is NOT Asian food. PF Chang's is more expensive but it does taste a lot better.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the dinning area is always clean. It's owned by pf changs and I think it's better. Cheaper, faster, and it tastes the same. You can guarantee that I will be here atleast once a week.

  • K M.

  • Paul S.

  • Tif D.

  • Jodie R.

  • Rovi D.

    (3)

Shame.

  • Mai S.

I do like they update their menu semi-regularly and they now offer the small plate options.

usually love pei wei but last night my husband ordered a steak dish to-go.

Ooooh... AHH!!!!

Ha!

Never been here before. Fast. Good food. Nice staff. Like a scaled down PF Changs.

I just ate there and it was pretty crappy. If you like cheap food that makes you feel gross after eating it, then you will love this place.

I'm sorry but I really think Pei Wei is gross. This is NOT Asian food. PF Chang's is more expensive but it does taste a lot better.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the dinning area is always clean. It's owned by pf changs and I think it's better. Cheaper, faster, and it tastes the same. You can guarantee that I will be here atleast once a week.

it pains me to say this -- it's just not as good as it was. they changed the menu and apparently are about to change it again. the japanese beef ramen is NOT good. at all. the beef is just too chewy, not as seared as it used to be. chicken tasted a bit off as well. and honestly, it's going to be a while before i go back.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
