Not a very long tap list but what they had was on point! I was a big fan of the sour mixed with the (something I can't remember and isn't currently listed on their website). Darn! But it was super tasty, the bartenders were super helpful, and the outside seating is great! I would recommend and go back!

The last two times we have gone the waitress has skipped over us for other groups. Serving time is riduculous and not based on turns on line. 0/10.

If you're looking for a laid back hip place to drink a beer this is definitely it! I suggest going there on Tuesday nights for keep the glass, you get a locally designed glass and 3 fills of beer all for $10. The beers here are sometimes a little hit or miss, it truly just depends on someone's personal preferences of beer, but no matter what the vibe is always great! Staff is friendly and aware of anyone standing at the bar, you are served quickly and can ask them anything about the beers and they will let you know what to get. This is probably my favorite craft brewery in Denver because of the atmosphere and good times had by all. Although they don't serve food (they don't have a kitchen) they almost always have a food truck outside that you can order food from. A definite must try if you are in the area!

I love places like this. Chalk it up to the great conversation that I was having on a night in a foreign city where things in the air were cold but clear, but places like this just give me the impression that people are there making a toast to life. The back patio has communal picnic benches and backyardy string lights with a brick facade with black text on a white wall. (my friend and I both really liked this. Attention to aesthetics is important!) The beer we also liked. Nice spot to catch a drink with some pals. A lot more hipster than some of the others places nearby.

I really REALLY liked this brewery! Came here during a brew tour with a group of friends, totally planning on making it just one of the stops on our afternoon. We never left. The beers are delicious, unique, and just...cool. Loved them. The staff was fun, knowledgable, friendly, and just...cool. Loved them too. The space is nice. Only issue? The bathrooms have some sort of plumbing issue. Other reviews make note of this too. They need to get an inspection or cleaning or something, cause it smells as stank as my old frat house after a keg.

OMG, OMF. Our Mutual Friend is what I love about Denver breweries. It's not pretentious like many of the breweries popping up these days. It's not sterile, it doesn't have a weird theme, it's affordable. I l-l-love the patio with the lights outside. Definitely one of Denver's better beer spots.

I had a great time here today. On Tuesday you get a complementary glass with 10$ which buys you three tickets, and is worth 2-3 beers. I had the Brett saison #2 and the IPA, I liked both. Big patio to chill on, cool cats hanging out. I will come back and check out the other rotators, they have a Goze coming up( salted German sour), and a couple of other interesting fares. Wednesday is service industry night, Thursday and Friday they have a happy hour and a dollar off beers, I don't remember the hours posted.

One of my favorite breweries in Denver. It's probably the most hipster brewery I've visited, but the staff are still friendly to this older, un-hip woman. It's always a good time, and it's a good place to bring visitors if you want to impress. I'm a picky beer drinker, and there are always at least two beers on tap that I enjoy, like the brown ale or a coffee stout. We like to go on Tuesdays for Keep the Glass night. The glass designs are usually pretty interesting, and the price is right--a little TOO right. Make sure you've got a DD, because 3 pours into your fancy new glass will certainly impair you.

This place stinks. No, literally, it stinks. It smells like they had a flood in the bathroom and the urine made its ways to the main seating area. I thought this was a fluke until I read a few other reviews that said the same thing. One of the employees opened the garage door on the side but that didn't help. The dampness of outside and the urine inside made for a smelly humid room. The beer I had was ok but I had to leave after one because the odor was overwhelming. I'm really not joking. Get it fixed.

While not blown away by their offerings, their beers were still decent, we enjoyed the atmosphere, and our bartender was friendly and conversational. Plus, how can you not like a place that still uses a record player? I like that they experiment with their beers and have a variety of styles in their selection, even if they're not our preferred styles. We usually can't choke down goses, but their version is the best one we've had thus far and not overly salty like others we've tried in the past.

SO great! Do yourself a favor and stop in Our Mutual Friend for some tasty beers. It was easy to find, but definitely in a shadier part of town. The tasting room is super cute and very charming (although I found the chairs to be super uncomfortable). There is a small patio with bench seating and picnic tables. The weather was perfect and this was an awesome place to enjoy some brews. There is a small(ish) bar with stools and a high top table, surrounded by smaller tables. It's not a big place, but is very cute. I couldn't decide which tasters I wanted, so I just ordered everything! This included the cran-apple kombucha, which was amazing! The coffee stout was by far my favorite! It was so well made and one of the best I've ever had. I also really enjoyed the pumpkin ale. I love that this is a small local place and that their beer is only available at the tap room. This place was recommended to me by a friend from the area, and I am really happy we stopped in. If you are in the area, I definitely suggest visiting Our Mutual Friend! It's a chill place and great hangout spot, with delicious beers!

This place is great! We came in on a late Sunday afternoon when there were very few patrons here. The walls are a distressed wood painted different shades of gray and there are some beautiful large paintings that look like a mix of acrylic and watercolor. Very cool decor. We walked up to the bar and perused our options. I asked for a taste of the brown ale. Dang, $2 for a taster, so annoying when breweries do that (only reason for lack of a star). Everyone in the group went for a winter ale, or something like that. It was very dark, had a rich taste and aroma and was the perfect balance of flavor. I opted for what I tasted, the brown ale. It was so smooth and had just the right amount of kick but wasn't as intense as the winter ale. Carbonation was on point, which has been something we have found to be a big problem at other local breweries. We all grabbed a spot outside and soaked up the beautiful day. Great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy some quality brews.

There are tons of breweries popping up all over the city, which is great for me. Trying new beers is fun, but I like to find a place that can deliver something different. We came in here and ran the gambit of samplers. Nothing really stood out as original to me, but I enjoyed the Chinook, the brown and the IPA. The lady loved the coffee stout. It's got a nice ambiance, but the bartender was a little disinterested in us. I might come back if I'm in the neighborhood, I'd like to see them mature a little bit and see what they can crank out.

I really had mixed feelings about this place after finally giving it a try. My girlfriend and some of her friends really like it here and I understand why, its a chill environment with plenty of space inside and the beers were pretty good. However after walking in and going up to the bar, the three gentlemen behind the bar were all holding beers drinking and chatting with each other, despite looking up and seeing me waiting patiently at the bar one of them turned back to the conversation, another couple minutes passed until someone walked over and finally took my order. I had a stout that was quite good but the hassle really knocked my experience down several points. I also wasn't a huge fan of the pretty loud environment inside that was also quite dim. I also tried a sip of their Saison and thought pretty highly of it. I'd love to come back again and see if it was just a bad night for the service because the beers were notable and good despite the atmosphere.

Yum! This place is cozy and has great beers. I went there one night with some friends and we had a blast. The staff was awesome and super friendly, not to mention helpful! I'll definitely be going back soon! PS-Ride your bike there :)

OMF is a bit of a hiccup on the RiNo beer tour. While a few of the beers are pretty solid (the winter warmer is a nice imperial stout, and I liked their pale ale well enough), others are downright undrinkable (the barleywine comes to mind). The atmosphere is nice enough, but that's not why I go to breweries. There are a number of very solid new breweries within walking distance of OMF, and unless you just want to hit every brewery in the area, there isn't much of a reason to drop into OMF when the other, better options are so close.

    (2)
  • Ryan M.

A good friend of mine enjoys OMF on Tuesdays. Their special is $10, you get to keep your glass (which is a custom glass designed by someone local), and you get 3 beers of your choice. The selection of beer was good, and all were very good quality! I am a fan!

    (4)
  • Dan W.

I got a hipster kind of vibe from this place. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, pretty far from the downtown and ballpark area of Denver. They had a pretty descent selection of beer, probably around 10 on tap. Quality of the brews was above average but not great.

    (3)
  • Cheryl R.

I hate to give any brewery a low score, as I know beer is all a matter of preference. However I wasn't overly impressed by any of the beers (we did samples of all they had on tap) and out of three of us, nobody was interested in buying a full glass of anything. Customer service was on the slower side, as the people behind the bar were busy chatting with patrons instead of acknowledging new customers. The place was filled with hipsters - all of whom were standing around in different circles chatting. They have cafeteria style seating (long tables with chairs) so it was hard to tell what seats were taken and which ones weren't - stuff was scattered all over the tables as people stood around. I was really hoping to enjoy the Novo coffee stout based on other reviews, but really it was my least favorite. Out of three of us - nobody liked it. If I had to pick the most decent beer on the menu, I would have to default to the Chinook Red. Being from the West Coast, I thought their IPA could have used more hops.

  • Demitri R.

Its Definitely off the Beaten Path but a Nice Brewery none the less. And the Non Hipster Douchey Crowd comes in which is nice, because you can hold a conversation with them. Even Better when Taste of the Philippines is parked outside.

I couldn't remember if I already reviewed this place. We came when it first opened and it was the quintessential hipster opening- complete with a DJ, suspenders, 1920's mustaches, and not one person smiling. They had no IPA's and I was bummed- but the rest of their tap lineup (4) was fairly solid. Over the months it got less and less annoying and was actually a cool place to hang out (although I still had some kind of an aversion when someone suggested Our Mutual Friend and always interjected "sure you don't want to go to Great Divide or Strange instead?"). We hadn't been in awhile since moving to the Western Slope, but this weekend we met some friends here and I was pleasently surprised. Still no IPA, but they did have the 'Hoppy Farmhouse' which was delicious. Inside is industrial and hip, and the crowd is alot more mixed now. It's also pretty cozy in the winter if you can get a place by the fireplace and one of their brown ales.

This place is growing on me :) the staff are cool. The beers are interesting. Sometimes I don't like what's on tap. Most times i do :) Nice big space. Awesome patio

Nice. Only went here once but enjoyed the brews. Will definitely return. A cozy, inviting interior - a contrast to the many expansive, metal interiors of other breweries nearby.

I strongly dislike this place, to the point where I now just keep walking past it while on a RiNo crawl. Their beers are mediocre, but I find the staff to be the real turnoff. During my visits, their demeanor has ranged from mildly disinterested, to really disinterested, to so freaking high they probably couldn't even see me to be disinterested, to actually yelling at customers -- not even a specific customer, mind you, but all of us who happened to be sitting in OMF at that moment. I get it, you're hipsters. But you don't have to be dicks. It's a business. Serve your customers, happily. Or at least not unhappily. Ratio is right down the street now, so you best step it up.

  • Liz W.

Beer was fine. Atmosphere has a really specific crowd though, so I wouldn't say this place is for everyone. But the bartender was super helpful.

Would have loved to try the beers. We waited 20 minutes at the counter and never got served. When the bartender's friends were served a 2nd time before we were served once, we were out.

I stopped by here with friends right after Crooked Stave on our "Beer Friday" outing. The bright, airy, spacious room was quite the upgrade from CS. We sat down at the bar to order a taster of each beer, including their hopped-up root beer. The IPA won us all over, despite the fact that we were not usually IPA fans. It has a different flavor profile than most, but we couldn't pinpoint exactly what the difference was. One friend was particularly fond of the root beer, though I found it rather flat. I need some good carbonation and bite. After our tasters we each ordered a pint and relaxed in our seats for over an hour. The beer cookies tempted us. Would love to know what other reviewers think of them.

    (4)
  • Elle K.

So other reviews have noted it, but yes, this place is a bit "hipstery" and off the beaten track, location wise. I don't find it to be an issue, if the beer and service is good. I've had a couple of very good beers here in the past, but the last couple times we went here, the beers on tap were quite average. The service can best be described as...average. I've had worse service, but when black shirt brewing is right down the street with their generally excellent service, the mediocre service here really stands out. I think this place has potential, but in a crowded market like rino, they really need to step it up.

These guys are making a lot of different beers, most of which are all Colorado ingredients! They even roast their own barley! No one does that! They play music and don't have a TV. I can't stand TVs in bars & restaurants, unless it's a sports bar of course. My only complaint is they run out of my favorite beer, the Colorado Pale Ale. They're currently on a 3 bbl system, but are upgrading... and I am forced to try something new so I couldn't hold back a star for my only complaint. Cheers.

Our Mutual Friend, I'm not sure that we're friends yet. It is becoming more chummy between us, but I'm still trying to get a feel for who you are. The first time that we met was an accident, if you remember--I had simply bumped into you, not realizing that you were even standing there that cold, gray winter evening. You were attractive, warm, and nearby, so I gave you a chance. Unfortunately, your beer was boring and thin: two things that I dislike mutually-- not the taste of a madeline to recall some day in the future, n'es pas? The only reason that I returned was that you weren't like other breweries, you know, tres machismo. You know the kind of brewery, the one designed by men for men, loud, cold, and focused solely on the virtue of its beer with no care for aesthetics. You have a certain je ne sais quoi, an arty, eccentric charm to you, for which I considered you a potential ami, a comrade in arms, a romantic painting against the neo-classical appeal of your predecessors. I truly wanted to like you, but you must admit, you didn't make the best first impression. Upon my return, I serendipitously happened upon a couple of beers, such as your porter, that made me reconsider our relationship. You have grown more complex, and I'm now open to maybe being more than a casual acquaintance. I hope that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. A la prochaine. Sincerely, Seth

I love the friendly brewery staff, the laid back vibes even though the place is very appropriately hip for the rino district. The beers weren't stellar at first but they continue to get more yummy every visit. The variety and creativity of the brewery is a bonus. AND they are dog friendly. Anyway check this place out.

Wow! Totally drinkable dynamic beers. Quirky atmosphere and shiny breweries stills. Awesome patio.

  • Tavo R.

This is the kind of brewery you would go to if you lived in the neighborhood or if the cops took away your license. I can see that they do not put much effort on keeping their establishment nor the demeanor of their bar tenders. We went on a Sunday but it was a Sunday before a holiday. Bar tenders seem to be very into partying with the people and I mean cursing, pouring drinks for themselves, behaving like frat boys amongst them and pretty much being the Kings of the party. Won't be coming back even if their beer is average.

  • Marc A.

After trying all the other beers they offer, I'm sticking to the Stout. Lots of skunkiness in their other brews. Kinda a let down, and I don't find myself coming back here very often anymore.

Here lies review from someone who is accused of being a hipster. I wear skinny jeans and I listen to some weird shit so I guess I just gotta accept it. I say this because OMF is also similarly accused of being a "hipster bar" or what have you. It may not completely deserve that title but I will give you my damndest effort to be objective. Been here twice. Once right after they opened then just a few nights ago. I think my favorite thing about the place is the location and the space. The play some pretty sweet jams, so I guess that makes them "hipster". Oh yeah, and there are books and whatever decorating the place, so there is another "hipster" strike. And there are lots of beards, glasses, and tattoos in attendance. Strike three: OMF is indeed a hipster bar. Anyway, let's get serious. The space is cool, the location is awesome, the beer is fine but nothing to blow your socks off (however, the gose is pretty damn tasty). The staff I have had mixed experiences with. I complimented the bartender on a beer that I ordered and he had a snarky backhanded response. Kinda caught me off guard. Not sure why someone would alienate one of their own. It truly is a dog-eat-dog world. I probably won't go back. If you are looking for good beer in the area, check out Epic. I am a Utah man and Epic has done us right for years. And they will most certainly will do you right when you check them out instead of OMF.

This place certainly has an interesting feel to it. There's a lot of books on the wall and games and stuff, so this would be a great place to hang out and get some drinking done. However, you'd have to be really into their somewhat-limited variety of beer. I tried their Proletariat, Brown and Pumpkin beers while there (this visit was during the midst of my great pumpkin beer hunt) and all were pretty good, but nothing outstanding. They're new so maybe it'll take some time to build on this selection and really master what they're doing. Personally, I'm not someone who likes to be chatted up a bunch when having a drink, so if you're like me, then you'll be fine here, but if you're not, then be warned that the service (at least on the day I was there) wasn't particularly warm. The bartender was outside having a smoke when I arrived and he seemed a tad irritated when I showed up and spoiled his nicotine-fix. I get it, I got there mid-afternoon, probably during a lull, but I definitely got the impression this cat thought he was too cool for school.

I love this brewery. It's right smack the middle of RINO and happens to be close to my house. This place has a nice, friendly feel to it perfect for sipping beers and catching up with friends. My favorite beer is the brown ale and I always look forward to their new brews! They have an awesome deal on Tuesdays; keep the glass night which consist of keeping the glass, 3 fills for $10. Say whaaaaa?!? The staff are always friendly to me which is a bonus! And who can forget the yummy food trucks that come their establishment every week! So good paired with their beers!

  • Dan M.

I agree with others that this location is on the outskirts of skittishville for my comfort level for walking from downtown, so taking a cab (or bike) is probably safest. The place was packed when I visited on a Tuesday evening, but there was plenty of room at the bar to place our order from the friendly bar staff. We went for the sampler. My only complaint was that they were only pouring 4 that night. I guess they were wiped out recently and are nearly finished with some more batches. I liked the American Pale Ale and the generically named "brown ale". The farmhouse was good if you are into saisons. The Chinook Red Ale was a little strong and not my favorite. I am eager to come back when they have some more on tap.

This place is awesome, super laid back and friendly. Very colorado! Not to mention their beer is great. But seriously, they have vinyl. Can't go wrong here.

  • Leah P.

OMF is part of the upcoming, ultra-cool RINO neighborhood, and it shows. That's not really a bad thing, but be prepared. The tap room itself is pretty standard, concrete floors in a big open room with a fireplace in the corner. The patio is beautiful if you happen to be there on a nice day. The beers themselves were good, but nothing stood out to me. Now, this is probably because I go to way too many breweries, but I didn't leave with a beer than I had to have again. Their brown was pretty good, along with the fresh hop. The staff is friendly and helpful.

    (4)
  • Alfred J.

Better than most around. It has a laid back atmosphere, in which one may enjoy the few brews they dish out. It's a good place to go to analyze the hipster. If you want perfection try spinning in circles before heading here.

  • Carolyn P.

A friend of mine dragged my butt to Five Points to try out OMF. Like many have mentioned, it is hardly in a "happenin" area of downtown, but the nondescript white building serves up a good beer! When we were there last week there was a Filipino food truck outside serving up some delicious noodles that went great with a few of pints of GOSE (a delicious collaboration with DHBC). I don't care if the clientele is "hipster" or not, I'm just looking for friendly people and good beer. OMF delivers. The folks at OMF are friendly and fun, and there are usually some pretty cute puppies running around the place looking for a scratch behind the ears :-) The price is right, especially at Happy Hour when pints are $1 off, and although I have not yet been, rumor has it that Tuesday is "keep the glass night" for $10 and three beers...I'll be back for that!

    (4)
  • Amanda T.

I came here with Wanda C. last month for beer and chit chat. If I was reviewing the chit chat, OMF would get 5 stars. But I'm not so they get 3. The atmosphere is nice, the staff the Friday we were there was OK.. The Saison I had was decent, I've had better, I've had worse. Will I return? Maybe. But it's across town and there are so many other options in Denver that I'm not in a hurry to head back.

  • Dennis G.

Good beers, a bit of a small selection but they are small and what they have (that I've tried) has been pretty tasty. Not very expensive, and their atmosphere is pretty fun...nice for chilling with a group of friends. I love the neighborhood too! Pros: -Good beer -good place to hang out, great atmosphere -games -usually not packed -other things to do around it Cons: -have not had great experience with wait staff... -food trucks next to it aren't my fav (not really their fault I guess...but other breweries around the area have better selections I think!)

After getting over the stares my boyfriend and I got for entering a hipster domain (ugh, hipsters) we enjoyed some tasty beer. This cute little brewery is a very understated joint in the up and coming RINO area. A nice tip is that they list which food trucks will be there on the different nights of the week on their website. Service was pretty quick and no nonsense just trying to make sure everyone had a drink in their hands. Boyfriend noted his beer was good but that the IPA was not as hoppy as he hoped. I enjoyed the saison very much and is clearly one of the popular ones as they ran out while we were there. This brewery is an enjoyable part of the brewing scene around town. We will be back!

After coming here a couple of times, the place has grown on me. On the first visit, I was sorta meh on the beers, although the employees were very friendly. But I do like the vibe here, and recently met up with a friend for a second visit. It turns out breweries open late on Fridays, so OMF happened to work out for an early Friday afternoon beer. I was a bit disappointed as someone from OMF posted on Friday that they had 10 beers on tap, 2 of them coffee beers. One was a Novo coffee beer and the second was Huckleberry Roasters coffee beer. I was anxious to try both. Upon arriving 15 minutes upon opening, I was told they only had one. The Novo coffee beer was pretty tasty, as well as the saison. I'm pretty sure I will return.

We ran into this place on total accident and what a great accident it was! It's a sweet little spot on the corner with a pretty great patio. This is one of those bars that would be the perfect neighborhood bar where all the locals congregate. I'm not sure that's the case but it feels like it. I don't like to review places too much on beer since it's subjective but since this place serves its own... I thought the IPA was pretty good. I don't know if I really expected much but it really worked. They also had a waffle truck out front so that was nice to have the option to munch on something while sipping on a beer enjoying a perfect Denver summer night out on the patio. Can't beat it!

I like this place. I like the ambiance, I like the employees, and I like the location (better parking situation that a lot of other breweries these days!). But, I only kind of like their beers. During my first visit, I tried 4 of their beers that were currently on tap. I think I had the Session, the IPA, the Brown, and the Winter Warmer. We were there on the night of the bottle release of the Winter Warmer and I know everyone was pretty stoked on it. I liked it probably the most out of the 4 that I tried. While I wasn't over-the-moon about any of the beers I tried, that certainly doesn't mean I won't be headed back here at some point as these guys settle in. Rumor mill let me in on a little secret that they will be getting a bigger system soon and that could really change their beers over the next six months or so. I'm excited to see how these guys grow.

Last Friday, Lisa H, Kristen N and I ventured over to RiNo to check out OMF since none of us had even been. And thanks to the handy dandy trusty Yelp App, we were soon joined by Carly B and David P. Huzzah! OMF was hopping this evening! Nearly every conceivable spot was spoken for, but we managed to share a table with a friendly group and then vultured a larger spot when another group left. So if you happen to pop in during peak times, be prepared not to have a spot. Or at least cleverly snag one. After weaseling our way up to the bar and grabbing the bartender's attention, we all ordered a flight sampler, which is a la carte, and began the tasting! I tried nearly everything except for the IPA and the Pale Ale and wasn't terribly blown away by anything. I did enjoy the Winter Warmer, which coincidentally had been bottled and was being sold this particular evening, so Lisa and I bought two bottles. Evidently everyone else bought bottles of WW because OMF posted on Facebook that they quickly sold out! Nice job, guys! Having known nothing about this little brewery in RINo, I was perfectly content with this visit. They've got an amazingly wonderful space with a neat little patio. I'll definitely be back once the days get warmer to score a spot there! While no brew, save for the Winter Warmer, was particularly memorable this time, I'm looking forward to returning and seeing what these guys can do and how their beers' flavors have developed!

Once you get past explaining that your friend doesn't own a brewery, the place is just call Our Mutual Friend you can enjoy the beer and space at OMFMB. Clever name that I'm sure has caused some interesting "Who's on First" type of conversations. I really like the space, it's well set up and has a good vibe. Friendly and easy going bar staff mixed with a very laid back environment ... Kind of something you'd expect from a mutual friend. I had the IPA, the Pale Ale and the Brown. I really liked the IPA out of the three. It was full of flavor and fresh. In fact I liked it so much I decided to pick up a growler and take some home. The growlers at OMFMB are not typical for the area, they are only 32 ounces which is a good size for certain types of beers. All in all I had a good experience there and will be back. Check out their mobile site for the latest tap list, they keep it up to date.

I've put off this review for a long, long time. I don't want to rag on those establishments that are working hard to make RiNo one of the best areas in Denver in which to play - after all, it's my 'hood. Proud eastsider that I am, I would always rather throw a compliment than a smackdown. But. Our Mutual Friend has SUCH potential. I've been there at least 8 times now. Every time I wonder if they've dialed it in yet - every time I hold my breath til I'm almost blue because "dialing it in" is not on the menu that day. Or any day it seems. I went this past weekend. They claimed to have an IPA3 on, dubbing it a "West Coast IPA." I ordered one. (I also ordered a taster of their rauschbier, which was interesting -- true to the style, but where the less-overt smokiness shined, the lack of depth underwhelmed.) I took a big inhale of the IPA3, let it tickle my nose a bit, then went in for the taste. The nose was hop-forward but with few discernible characteristics - no grass, citrus or floral notes, no hempy aroma. On the tongue it acted similarly. I wanted to call Green Flash and tell them to come and teach the folks at OMF what a chunky style WCIPA really tastes like. What the mouthfeel should be. How the balance is tricky, an art, and how using this "West Coast" term to describe this "IPA3" is damned near blasphemy. I drank more, to see if I was missing something. There was something musty present, some kind of funk that had nothing to do with lacto or brett. It wasn't an off flavor per se but certainly not one that added to the overall flavor profile of the beer. It was as if the water used to brew the beer had been sent through pipes that needed a good reaming. The minerality was way way up, and not in a good way. In short, I have yet to have a really well-built beer at OMF. Their IPA2 came close, but I had it once, liked it, then had it again and it wasn't the same beer. Bummer. Consistency matters. Let's face it -- as RiNo becomes THE beer destination area in Denver (especially once Great Divide starts construction on Brighton, and Zephyr gets rolling), competition is only going to get more and more stiff. When I was in OMF, it was a Saturday afternoon. There were maybe 10 folks in there. Contrast that with both Epic and Black Shirt, both of which were packed when I buzzed them. This can't just be written off as a fluke. The atmosphere in OMF is decent -- not great, more like standard western-industrial with a skiff of skinny-jean, porcine-tattooed irony that's so prevalent these days. See how I didn't use the word hipster? Deliberate, that. The beer people will continue to speak with their palates and their wallets. To think that a brewery could get away with mediocrity in this market is pure hubris with a big dose of denial thrown in. I believe the brewers at OMF are well-intentioned, but they aren't all that creative or boundary-breaking. Many of those around them are, however. Mad rebel scientist perfectionists who've been at this game a long long time. Think red ales. p.s. Proper sanitation, proper sanitation, proper sanitation. Insist on it. .

Out of the way, but that's just fine. OMFMB is a nerdy little space, with a bookshelf littered with obscure and mainstream titles behind the bar. Oh, and they've always got vinyl playing. It's super hipster but not filled with hipsters, which is a really big bonus. Bartenders seem to be fine, and the beer they make is varied, but carefully crafted and pleasing to the mouth and stomach regions. It's a new tentpole in the growing Five Points 'hood (soon they'll have neighbors) and it draws a good mixed crowd, along with food trucks on occasion. Their tasting room is deceptively small, given the total size of the building. They've got a lot of room out back that isn't even taken up by brewing equipment, so it can have the tendency to feel a little extra crowded even if it's not. But despite all that, it's a fun little spot with great taster flights and a good crowd to people watch, and a good place to hang out on...well, any day of the week. Plus it's always fun to tell your friends that you want to go here, and they think for a few minutes that you have a friend that owns a brewery. Always a good time.

Fantabulous brewery! I hit up a fair amount of breweries and this one was supercool and the brews were amazing. The bartender explained that they had a rough start, but are in the groove now and are working on further improvements. The patio looks like it will be the place to be once the weather is nice! On Saturday they had 7 tasty brews and wow they were all great! Two seasonals, a Winter (that was actually good) and a Belgian Gold - so delish! The brown ale was awesome and if you are into hops they have a pale ale and IPA. They also have a super good relationship with a local Colorado barley grower, so that is sweet. And their coffee stout is a collaboration w/the company next door. $1 tasters and 5$ pours - rock on! The vibe was friendly, but almost a little 'too cool'. The grey walls and metallic bar stools were modern, and the bookshelves with the hover board were neato! They also have a vinyl record player and if you bring in stuff they will play it for you and there is a fireplace in the corner. If the bartender wasn't so friendly and the people so smiley I would've thought this was a hipster club of sorts. I hope this place doesn't get too too popular as I'd love to frequent here! If you tried it before, try it again. If you haven't been, give them a go. I only see improvement and success in their future.

I finally meanered over here, it's barely a stones throw from my house, but when they first opened their hours were "when ever we make enough beer" type of thing. Well, homey don't play that. You are open or you are not... So they eventually got their act together and are open during posted hours! I was pleasantly surprised by a number of their beers, and will definitely be back to enjoy a couple more. There is a patio, a garage door to let the nice weather in, plenty of long tables to chill with friend and strangers. The staff is very nice, and the i enjoyed the decor! We did go on a cool saturday early evening and didn't have to fight the masses too much!

Our Mutual Friend is a chill, fairly casual brewpub that puts out some pretty solid beers. I came here on a Saturday evening and felt incredibly at home in this establishment. From the fireplace in the corner, to the bookshelf behind the bar that incorporates the taps, to Neil Young being played on the phonograph, this place had such a cool vibe that I'd be inclined to visit time and time again when I'm up and around Five Points. Aesthetics aside, the beer is what is probably what everyone wants to know about when considering a brewery and taproom. To begin, they offer up $1 tasters which is right up my alley when trying a new establishment. Having only had the Proletariat at the Denver Bicycle Café prior to my visit, and not being to blown away, I wanted to get a taste for what else they had in store. Their tasters provided just the opportunity allowing for us to try their IPA, Pale Ale, Brown Ale, and Winter Warmer. Okay, so they don't have witty and playful names for their beers as say Denver Beer Co or Wits End does, but who cares when the beers are stellar across the board. The Winter Warmer was just that and perfect for the cold January evening, but being prone to IPAs, their IPA was undoubtedly my favorite. Can't wait to get back to see what new beers are on tap and what vinyl selection they got spinning.

If you happen to be in the area and this place is actually open, drop in. But, don't make a special trip. We dropped in during GABF. They had just opened and had 3 beers on tap. Of the 3, the Brown was ok, but they were all overly cloudy. It's a nice tasting room, assuming you can find the place. Their signage is seriously lacking. We walked past it a few times. My biggest qualm with this place is that my friend organized to have our Beer Club there and confirmed the date and time. We showed up, they weren't open. Whatever. There are so many other and better breweries to hang out at in Denver, that we won't be back to this one.

My friend and I were trying to decide on a place to grab a beer after work and I have to say, yelp turned me away from OMF at first. Located in Five Points? No thanks. Iffy beer reviews? I think I'll pass. Well I can hardly describe how relieved I was to find out that Black Shirt doesn't open until five (we arrived at 415). So first things first, OMF is not in Five Points. Its in RiNo; only a couple blocks from coors field. And second, I loved the beer here! Yes everything is dark and malty (they roast their own malts in house so the place smells almost like a coffee shop) and unless you hate those styles, the beer is really quality stuff. I think my favorite aspect of OMF though is how mellow it is. Even when people started pouring in, the place didn't get loud. I was able to catch up with my friend and enjoy good dark beer and I am happy that I now know Our Mutual Friend.

When it comes to checking out new places I try to stick to a "three strikes and you're out" policy. Fortunately for OMF I have been here more than three times; unfortunately the extra visits have not changed my opinion. The things I like about OMF: sweet location with a cool interior, the atmosphere is very inviting and perfect for catching up with friends, they malt the grain they brew with in-house. I mean what more can you ask from a brewery? Well, I suppose for starters it would have to be good beer. Sadly, this is where OMF falls short (really short, actually). It might be refreshing for some to see that they don't go crazy with beer names and stick simply to what style it is, I just wish their beers weren't as plain and uninspiring as their names (err... non-names?). The first time I came in I ordered the Brown Ale, should be easy enough to nail down right? Sadly what was poured was a watered down beer with no discernible taste whatsoever, maybe OMF was getting stingy with the malt. Next I tried the Nitro Coffee Stout, however after tasting I was still left with a feeling of emptiness, there just wasn't enough of a backbone in the beer to make me want to keep drinking it. Add that in with too much acidity from the coffee beans and you have me looking at the beer list feeling rather gun shy. My last visit consisted of trying the flagship IPA and a special fresh hopped IPA they had on tap. The nose on both beers had me feeling optimistic, but unfortunately, both were so cloying that I had a hard time even making it halfway through either one, I felt like I was drinking syrup they were so sweet. The staff could also use some work, way too much time spent talking with friends behind the bar about what vinyl they're going to put on next than taking orders from thirsty patrons. Hey I get it, breweries and beers are supposed to invite conversation, I just wish it weren't the bartenders doing all the socializing when all our attempts to flag them down to order a beer go unnoticed. Although, based on the quality of the beer perhaps they're doing you a favor. It's always good to see a new brewery open up in our fair city, but I have to say that I've had far better beer at other establishments around town (and homebrew meetings, for that matter). I think the guys at OMF need a little more practice and fine tuning of their craft before I recommend their beers, that is unless you're looking for a watered down beer in a fancy glass.

  • Ron K.

My girlfriend and I love to hit this place up on a regular basis. Really neat artwork on the outside of the building and the tasting room is open, warm and inviting. Most importantly their beer is great. I really enjoy their coffee stout on nitro as it is very refreshing after riding my bicycle down here. Really all of their beers are great, it just depends what I'm in the mood for at the time. Refreshing saison and hoppy pale and and IPA. While I really enjoy their beer, I have had better at some of the other breweries around town and feel these guys have room for some improvement. I would agree with one other reviewer that this place has a nerdy atmosphere which is why I might like it so much.... I am an Engineer (-nerd). They offer $1 tasters of their beer which is great for newbies to the bar who want to try all of their beer in one visit.

I am always excited about a new brewery opening up in town.. unfortunately this one just doesnt quite do it for me. It is on the path there, so I will try it again in the future. First and foremost - the beer. I tried pretty much all of the beers on tap. I really enjoyed the pale ale and the tart saison. The tart smells alot more sour than it tastes..but is a great beer for those looking to get more adventurous. The coffee stout was also pretty good. Amazing smell! The IPA needs some work..it just wasnt bitter enough. Everything else was there..but then again I am a hop head. The head brewer also agreed with us about the lack of bitterness in the IPA. It was nice to be able to talk with him and give our thoughts on the beers. Service was pretty good as you can tell since we got to chat with the brewer. I was able to get drinks at the bar quickly also. But...it was a cold night (30s) and the garage door was open. A couple of the people we had in our group got really cold inside. So my friend went to the bar and asked if they could close the door since its getting really cold. He laughed at him and said something pretty shitty about it. A couple minutes later I went up to the bar and I also asked if they could close the door (different bartender) and he just gave me a shitty smile and said maybe later if we feel like it. Needless to say we left shortly after. The space is decent. Its rather small but has a decent amount of seating and is nicely designed. There is a garage door and small patio on the side. It is VERY echo-y inside though..so even with a mellow crowd it gets pretty loud inside. I guess thats what happens when you have high metal ceilings. Some kind of sound dampening would do wonders. Its also pretty hard to miss outside. There is no sign (only the logo etched on the glass of the door)..so just look for a plain beige building with some lights on and people inside.

My husband and I were visiting from California last weekend and landed at OMF with some friends. I have to say, I wish there were more small, locally-owned breweries like this at home for us. Good, friendly, normal people enjoying fantastic home-brewed beer straight from the tap with games and a few snacks. What more could you ask for? I'm a little bummed we missed the food trucks on our visit, but that'll be something to look forward to on our next trip, because we will definitely be going back to OMF if we find ourselves in Denver again. The bartender recommended I have blend of their BROWN and GOSE, which was deliciously dark with a hint of spice. A soon-to-be neighboring shop owner offered us a taster of his ginger flavor ice cream, which matched up with the ginger "beer" on tap sent me straight to heaven. We really hope to make it back here someday for some great beer in great company.

The only thing this place is lacking is a happening location, but as Denver's gentrification sprawls beyond the confines of the downtown area, I imagine that the location will get better. It may seem quiet and lifeless from the outside on a weekday evening, but what you will find is awesome. Friendly and engaging staff, a brewer who stops to say hi, young parents with their new babies, dogs and hooligans, all hanging out under the same roof. You know what makes people happy? Great beer. The kind so good you don't want to chug it. The kind that you want to have a thoughtful conversation about. The Proletariat Session Ale provides fodder in character and name. They also have a recipe for a dry coffee stout that's so smooth, ughhhh let's just say I am excited to see it come back (please!) The new sour beer craze has been a bit of an adjustment for my palette but today I happened upon their "Sour 2"--I would liken it to the Pinot Noir for beginning red wine drinkers: it is easy drinking, a touch of sweet, almost resembling a bright cider (with a higher ABV of course). First sour beer I've ever fully enjoyed. Bravo, OMF. You continue to impress. See you soon.

The brewery location and setting is really cool. Right in RiNo, lots of open space, really nice. The problems are with the beer quality, and the quality of the patrons. On the beer front, you've seen all of this before. Denver seems to have a bunch of breweries that all compete for the most boring IPA, and this is one of them. It was like drinking a Surly Furious that had the hoppiness turned down, the color turned dull, and the finish turned boozy-tasting. Also, the sour was uninspired, the farmhouse was more bland than a lot of macros. The only unique thing here is the Novo coffee beer; one of the better coffee beers I've had. The patrons were crappy, too. I mean, you obviously had the Denver lite-hipster people there, which is fine. (The city needs more of them, as most places are overrun with brotastic douchebags). But there were quite a few angry/aggressive types there as well. You had the typical Jesse James west coast flat brim douchers, the banger types who were "flexing" and hitting on everything that moved, and worst of all you had the "I just arrived here from some shitty western state and I look like I run a meth lab" rednecks. This last group came about an inch from starting a fight with our group, just because we were keeping to ourselves. They're the type of people who probably listen to Nickelback and think that GW Bush was just misunderstood. Just a really bad vibe overall. If you're looking for hip, or cool, or intellectual, or thoughtful, this isn't the place to go. Crappy beer brings crappy, unsophisticated patrons. Denver has about 30 breweries too many, and if it were up to me, this one would be cut from the team. If you like crap beer, and don't care about your safety, this is the place for you!

Hey, let's go to Our Mutual Friend on Larimer St! Which one of our mutual friends is that? Steve? No, no, it's called Our Mutual Friend! Ok, so it's not the best name for a brewery/taphouse but hey, I was visiting from the Golden State (Cali-for-ni-ay) and my friend was showing me all the new breweries in town and we were going to give it a try....we'll once we could find the place. The only outside signage is a small sign on the window, easy to miss. Walked in and we found my friend's friend who saved us a spot at a corner table (with a perfect spot for her to do some hipster spotting, coming in and out of the place). As I usually do for a new brewery, we all ordered a flight of all their beers. 4 beers in all I believe? - I can't remember, but I know I liked their Saison and disliked their brown ale (which came out of the keg unfiltered). Best of luck to the new brewery, just put up a bigger sign and work on that brown ale!

One of my favorite microbreweries in Denver. Great tasting room without TV screens! Typically more malty and less hoppy beers. Great saisons, best brown ale in town. Very good porters.

Nice new little brewery in an interesting part of town! If I wasn't looking intently for this place I would definitely miss it. The signage could use a little work, but other than that I had an awesome time at OMF. I found the beers to be very distinguished and have a hard time believing anyone would find them watery or not developed. I am an avid beer drinker and have been to dang near all of the breweries in town and I believe this is a good contender for the best newbie of all. I loved the laid back vibe and the ambiance. It gave a very refreshing nonbiased atmosphere so that anyone should have a good time. As said in some previous reviews they play some interesting tunes on the stereo, they got games to play for the socially awkward and the beers are rather delicious. I recommend definitely hitting this brewery up if your in the area. I also believe with time they will develope into a definite Denver favorite so get here quick!

I'm already somewhat of a regular at this place. They have one of the best coffee stouts I've ever had, and I like their IPA as well. It's a nice, spacious tap room, and they have a little patio (with a garage door that opens up the tap room) for when it's warm. A couple of my favorite things about Our Mutual Friend: scoring the table by the fireplace, and that they have a turntable on which they are always playing vinyl. And on Sundays they will play your vinyl if you bring it in; I haven't done this yet, so I don't know if they'll play just anything, but if you're interested take in your music and see if they will put it on. I am very happy to have OMF within walking distance of my place. I will continue to visit them frequently because I enjoy the tap room and of course the beers!

I really want to like this place, as it is so close to our house. But comparing it to Black Shirt, River North, and Great Divide it just doesn't measure up in my opinion. First, I've been in twice, and the service is... well... aloof. It's a place that seems very proud of their beer (more on that later) and like they're doing you a favor by selling it to you. As for the beer, we did a taster and most of their beers are pretty average, with their stout downright awful (too watery). Then there is the patio, with two horribly warped picnic tables that try to launch your beer when anyone tries to sit down or get up. I'm sure I'll stop in again when making the brewery rounds by bike but I'm in absolutely no hurry, as there are better choices all over the place now.

  • S B.

The beer here is good. The staff isn't overly friendly but they get the job done. The growler prices advertized on their website are for mini growlers rather than standard sized, which irked me. It's kind of cold inside. I will be back as it's a fun place, but not my absolute favorite brewery in town.

Bad service. Go elsewhere. Found the bartender to be quite rude. Not worth your time with all the other breweries in the area. The place smelled too.

Beer can be awesome or terrible. Not consistent brewing. We had one beer that no one at our table (including cheap guy friends) would dare finish! Tasted like soap. Hipster hangout. Sweet porch.

I finally checked out this brewery the other weekend with a friend. This was of course after making a long overdue stop at Strange Brewery. I suppose it's not fair to compare the two side by side, but I really love Strange and all of their beers on tap. At Our Mutual Friend I ordered the Saison they had and was disappointed compared to the beers I had earlier in the evening elsewhere. For some reason it tasted a little watered down to me. The atmosphere though was great. Packed with people and the decor was quite hipster meets nerd. I'd be interested to try their brown ale, but it's not on my high list to return anytime soon.

The name is pretty cool. I like places with names that sound like they'd be said in every day conversation, so this place fits the bill. When we were driving here, Husband said "There's no sign. We just have to look for the picture I saw on Yelp." The neighborhood lent itself to a potential stabbin' town, but once we were inside my fears were quelled. Inside, it is like you're hanging out in someone's house (who has a very cool bar in their basement). The music is piped out of a record player, and that was only annoying when the record ended and he had to change it. Plus, I wanted to play with the records but it's not my bar, so that didn't happen. The owner sat and chatted with us for a bit, and he and Husband made friends on some social media networks. He also gave me one of the books off the shelf to peruse. The beer was good, and we brought home a growler of the Proletariat (which I ended up drinking the majority of). I'd be happy to go back.

Great stuff! Exactly what a small brewery should be like from the atmosphere to the people to the beer. I chatted with one of the owners (I think) up at the bar and he talked about how they were looking to take a larger part in the brewing process by doing some of the earlier steps in beer, such as roasting the barley, or making the malts on their own, instead of just ordering the pre-made ingredients. Kinda like people who now buy raw coffee beans and roast them on their own. Onto the beers. I'm not a hoppy beer person at all, so I absolutely love their approach to beers with more malt and less hop. This might not be for everyone, but thank goodness we have a new brewery that doesn't just overload on hops. And any of their beers with some hop, are nicely balanced. The brown ale is a real treat. Not heavy, yet a nice punch of chocolate/coffee/carmel, maybe even a touch of smoke flavor. On the lighter side, I enjoyed the Proletariat, which is their lightest beer, but still comes with some flavor and its a little hazy and smooth. The atmosphere is garage/hipster like, and as one reviewer noted, a little loud, but it fits the overall character. They're old-school with the record player and new-school with the square/iPad payment. $1 tasters, $5 pints, $10 growlers (32 oz.).

Love this place. I don't even like beer and I will drink it here. Very chill atmosphere. There's board games you can play. Free yoga on Saturdays. And snag a bag of peanuts from the bar. Pairs perfectly with their coffee beer. Amazing.

The first time I went to OMF, the beer was phenomenal. I'm not a big IPA fan, but the one they produced was excellent. In later visits, the beer has been somewhat inconsistent, which is a disappointment. I've never had anything truly bad, but some days it's definitely better than others. I am a fan of the atmosphere. The bar has a very homey vibe to it, like a buddy started home brewing and set up a bar in his garage (in a good way). The staff is always friendly. It's rare for me to make a special trip out to OMF, but sometimes I like dropping in to see what they're making, have a pint and chat about brewing with one of the owners (who's usually hanging out by the bar).

Awesome spot! Came here to warm my soul on a snowy Saturday and loved it! Great atmosphere, delicious beer and a friendly crowd. Tasters are $1 a piece and a full pour is $5.The beers were tasty... I especially enjoyed the saison and the pale ale. I'm not a big fan of darker beers, but my husband dug the brown ale and winter warmer. Our fellow patrons were cool and friendly.... mostly urban couples, DINKS and hipsters in their late 20s/early 30s. The bartenders all looked like members of The Lumineers and were attentive and personable. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Lovely little fireplace in the corner, chalkboard walls, bookcase surrounding the bar and white lights strung across the ceiling. Can't wait to come back during the summer and check out the patio and food trucks that hang out out front on the weekends. Definitely recommend this place!

Meh. Glad to have them in the hood and I'll likely pop in again at some point but their beer was really unremarkable. Interior/ambiance 4 stars, beer 2 stars. We got a taster (good idea) and out of the five or so beers I liked one...the saison. Their stout tasted like watered down coffee/beer and there was absolutely nothing memorable about any of the others. Flat both literally and figuratively. Also, it apparently helps to know someone there if you want decent service. All the employees seemed to be yucking it up with their friends or the cute single girls.

Did you know OMF's address was formerly occupied by an ice cream shop? I was craving ice cream and had time to kill in Five Points. Well, happy coincidence. My friend had been raving about OMF, so I was happy to detour here. I pulled up to the bar, ordered all 7 tasters (quite reasonable at $1 each), image captured the tasters, and posted for help on Facebook. I swear beer pictures are like the bat signal for my brewery loving friend. As I slowly tasted my way through OMF, I was pleased with how I overall enjoyed their offerings. I'm still not into coffee as a predominant beer flavor, so the Brown Ale and Irish Stout were my least favorites. They also didn't posses the volume of the other beers. On the other hand, I enjoyed the light taste of their saison. The Double IPA was good and the IPA completely won us over, even my IPA hating friend. There's something in the way that OMF roasts their malts that makes the IPA utterly delicious in its complexity.

Man, I hate to bash the place when I never even had a beer, but the service was that bad. I walked into the taproom and there were two people inside: the bartender and one man at the bar. The bartender did not even look at me and continued her conversation with the man at the bar. At first, I was polite. I waited. I leaned on the bar. Then I stared at her. I continued to stare at her for about 5 minutes, until I realized I was too irritated to give any money to this brewery and walked back out the door. The beer might be good (I don't have any idea) but the service truly sucks.

The wife and I had a great time here. It's rediscovered-neighborhood-hispter-cool inside. It's a bit chilly, but you'll warm up quick with any one of their beers. Turns out own of the owners was pouring when we went. We had a fun time chatting while he was spinning records and pouring. I enjoyed the beer, specifically the Proletariat. The pub was quiet and I always appreciate a quiet place to drink and enjoy my brews. I will return.

My wife and I stopped here on a rare night without the baby, and had a pretty good time. They were crowded, and in my mid 30's I was probably the oldest patron by 10 years. Everyone was friendly though, and the bartenders were helpful and fast despite being busy. I plan to return during off hours so I can take time to enjoy the place without all those pesky kids!

Headed in to this place last night, great little brewery. To the previous reviewers - last night was their first "official" open night. While they have been open on occasions for the last few months, they haven't had a full schedule or a full beer menu til tonight. That being said, I had the IPA which was pretty standard. Their seasion, however, was amazing. We did the beer flight and that was everyone's favorite. The place itself was great, small and intimate with a good crowd of beer lovers. Will be back for sure.

I wish I could give 4 or 5 stars, I would have right after I first started going but they've had a hard time dealing with their popularity. First, they ran completely out of beer. Then, my favorite beer, the Proletariat, returned and tasted terrible. I know they got bigger tanks or changed equipment but they haven't replicated their smaller batch taste. Then, another knock was that the prices went up to $6 on some of their beers. I get it, you run out, increase price vs demand, but it's paying LoDo prices for beer. Super nice guys and staff, just haven't enjoyed it as much the last several times I've gone.

I'm not a big fan of their beers but that didn't stop me from going before. What did was the pretentious kid that served me last time. I don't need to deal with attitude. They need to spend less time building their record collection and more time learning the fundamentals of brewing and customer service.

Location is cool and it is a very hip place to hang out, but unfortunately the beer is not good. We were happy to see an IPA on tap as that is all we usually drink, but after the first sip, no one even wanted to finish it. We understand not all IPA's are created equal but this was not even close. Surprisingly, it tasted a bit like coffee. I though maybe they accidentally poured us the coffee beer they had on tap. Most of us didn't finish the beer and a friend flat out refused to drink it at all and she ordered the pumpkin beer instead. It was watery, sweet and drinkable, but definitely not something we would order again. We couldn't stomach another beer and so we went around the corner to Epic Brewing.

I really like the laid-back, friendly atmosphere of this place. Every time we've been in, we end up at the large central table with some other people we've never met, and they are always very nice and friendly. I love strangers with the same sensibilities. The beau and I like to go here, grab a beer or two, and play a board game. My favorites are the Coffee Stout and the Saison. I don't get the watery aftertaste in the stout that a lot of people have mentioned, so mayhaps they've improved the brew. The Saison is pleasantly citrusy and spicy and (completely unrelated to the taste) I love that it gives me an excuse to say "Cezanne". Art nerd joke... forgive me.

Breweries seem to be popping up ALL OVER the place recently. Which is quite simply a GREAT thing! Our mutual friends at 'Our Mutual Friend' are doing it quite right. Maybe half a dozen wonderful beers on tap and a good vibe. With only a small food cart outside and some unique rock posters on the wall, this place focuses on craft beer with lot's of flavor. If you are looking for a good beer in a chill environment, I highly recommend you go out of your way your to avoid LoDo and check this place out. When you're there.....say hey to Jan, a brewer bartender with a great attitude, who trust me...knows his beers! Enjoy~

Our Mutual Friend has grown on me. Although most of their beers have a pretty high IBU rating, they do offer several solid non-hoppy options. My favorites were Proletariat Session Ale, Cottonwood Rauchbier, and the Brown Ale. The Rauchbier surprised me because I'm not usually a fan of that style, but OMF does it very well, with good balance. The Brown was also nicely balanced, without too much of a coffee flavor to it. And the Proletariat is a great beer if you're in the mood for something lighter and more refreshing, but still flavorful. The atmosphere isn't quite my style because I'm a lot older than the typical OMF crowd, but I enjoyed the beer, and at the end of the day, that's the most important thing.

Visiting from the pacific north west. I've been going to a lot of breweries and I must admit I love this place it has good beer, I had the sessions, and they have a patio. what's not to love? Oh maybe the bathrooms there are two and one was broken ...... but I can't stay made at you because it was so awesome.

    1. Caleb ( bar manager) refused to served me a beer with a valid ID because it did not have a photo on it. It expired and I only had the temp one from the DMV. I ask him to call the denver police and let them verify my identification. He refused. 2. I told Caleb that this was my last chance to have a drink with my brother before he left for the AT trail for 6 months. 3. I am a 25 year old math teacher in a hard to staff position at a hard to serve school in Denver. I expect better treatment after a day of teaching our youth. I will look for this at other places like the Vine Street Pub or the Irish Rover. Bars and Pubs where I am treated ethically.

Didn't get blow away by the beer (it was good though) but the space is pretty cool and it's a great addition to the neighborhood. Definitely come check out the atmosphere.

OMF's main goal in creating their beer is drinkability, and that's what you get. A flat $5 per glass, you'll be knocking down a few before you notice it. They also feature some great food trucks outside to help absorb that extra alcohol.

Good solid beers. Great little place to stop by, talk beer with the owners and relax. Love the record player and requests. I was a fan of all that we tried- plenty of styles an the staff made sure to answer any questions we had. Also they have a great lineup of food trucks

great brewery run by some great guys. make sure to chat up whoever is working there. the service is wonderful and the employees and owners are connected and knowledgable about the upper larimer neighborhood and community. they're also enthusiastic about meeting whoever walks through their door. each time i go in the beer keeps getting better. my favorite is the IPA. they even malt their own barley! which, i hear, is something no one else does. i think the craft in that is pretty unique. i'm looking forward to warmer weather when they can open their garage doors to their quaint patio!

Mmm, they have an incerdible brown ale. I recommend starting with the tasters to see what you like. Unlike other breweries around town they have a good variety of beers that are very flavorful. The atmosphere is nice, long bar eight community tables and a few regular tables too. Grab a game and be occupied for hours. Be aware, there isn't a big sign out front, so you kind of have to know where you are going to find it.

All around great brews! I have tried a lot of beers through out Colorado, and the winter warmer and brown ale are two of my personal favorites from anywhere! All of their beers are delicious and you can tell they have taken the time to truly perfect their craft. This place will remain a favorite of mine for a very long time.

Planned to visit another brewery in town a couple of Fridays ago but I threw the last minute curveball of trying out OMF to my buddies. Everyone was on board so gave it a go. I ordered a 6 beer sampler and really wasn't into any of their offerings. I thought the stout was decent but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was standard tap-room-industrial, which was fine. The highlight of the visit was the WaffleGanger food truck outside. Delicious. With so many great breweries at your fingertips in Denver, it's not worth wasting time on mediocrity.

Love this little neighborhood watering hole, can't wait till they are open with regular hours. Stopped in the weekend of GABF and they had 3 beers. I had the pale and my husband had the brown. I loved the pale and look forward to trying their IPA!

We tasted five beers. The plus is that their tasters are $1. Breweries that are charging more need to take note, I want to taste to find out if I like the beer. The minus is we did not like the beers. I drink pale ales and was excited to see one on the menu, but it lacked in flavor, body, and finish. The session was bland, the brown tasted burnt, the stout was a coffee stout so I knew I probably would not care for it (you might like it if that is your flavor). The IPA had something off about it as well. Good luck.

OMF is a small brewery that does it right. Absolutely love the atmosphere and the guys that run the place are friendly and engaging. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

I am converted. I said I would give the place another chance, and they have earned my repeat business. I have gone back several times, and the service has been good to great. More than that, I find out that they have yoga on Mondays (don't hold me to this forever, definitely check) and a run club in the summer. I can even bring my dog. I also enjoy the beers, but that was never a question.

It's good to see Curtis Park finally coming into its own after so many years of languishing while other neighborhoods flourished and OMF is a great addition to the 'hood. The interior was well done. I remember when it was an Italian joint back in the day. They fixed it up nicely. It was packed with "cool" people sporting the necessary sleeve tattoos, truckers hats and big glasses. The vibe was friendly and warm although there was no servers to help you. You just walk up to the bar where the bartender was distracted with drinking his own beer, spinning records and playing games with patrons at the bar. We definitely felt like we "interrupted him" to get a flight. Although he was nice enough once we got his attention. That said, the beer wasn't remarkable. Tasty on the front end but watery and flat on the back end. No real depth of flavor at all. I hope they keep at it though and find their niche in Denver's awesome craft beer scene. OMF is great for Curtis Park and I hope they are here to stay.

So glad to be in the neighborhood. OMF has a good selection of craft beer and I love the rotating food truck schedule. The crowd is mellow and I love the record player behind the bar. I was there Sunday evening for an arepa and a couple of brews and it was a perfect bookend to a lovely spring day.

Visited OMF last weekend and walked away pretty impressed. The building is great and puts out a great atmosphere in terms of decoration and tracks that were playing from the Turntable behind the bar. After talking tunes with the bartender for a little bit I ordered a sampler of everything on the menu. I walked away very impressed with the IPA, Saison, Winter Brew, and they're Belgian. Nothing absolutely floored me but considering they had been open for a handful of weeks the fact that they were this far along was a pretty good sign. I will definitely return for another round.
