Best pizza I have had in Denver so far. The service is great the staff is friendly but let get back to what really matters is this bomb ass pizza. I never eat pizza but when I do I make sure it the best of the best and the deep dish pepperoni pizza here I actually crave sometimes and there open late and that's THAT SHIT I LIKE.

The pizza was good but I was not super impressed. Somehow I expected more for Chicago style pizza and just didn't hit the spot. I guess I have to go to Chicago for that blow me away taste. Nonetheless, the service was great and was seated promptly so for that I give it 3 stars and id go back if I was in the area.

This past experience I had here was awesome! The server was excellent, attentive and brought over an extra sample of beer with the ones we ordered. Not sure his name, my tab says "Curry" was my server. Pizza rolls were delish. However it is super loud on the restaurant side.

I'm becoming a regular! It's a great place. Friendly staff, very tasty food -- I've had their pizza, Italian melt sandwich, and chicken alfredo and it was all excellent. Fresh, hot, nice presentation. The bar is a little pricey, but that's more common than not nowadays. Nice selection of TVs, albeit small.. I'd take my co-workers there for an after work drink or my family for a pie. Very casual and safe.

I would have given OC-Colorado Blvd a perfect 5 Stars but for the size of their bar area. I heard recently the OC in Lo Do on Market St had closed and everyone that had their home store there would have this location on Colorado as their new home store. I assume our plaques from Market Street will move here as well, although I haven't confirmed that yet. I will check next time I'm there and see if my plaque made it or not. Speaking of the closing of the Lo Do location. This leaves just one OC in the Denver city limits. How is this possible? The location on CO Blvd is busy and full at most times of the day I've visited. And forget about sitting at the bar for the most part. Also, if you go for a mini-tour kick-off, you would be unable to park on their premises, much less enjoy the bar area as it was packed for the one kick-off I did go to. The staff are excellent. They know you and remember who you are. I will admit sometimes they don't always listen to your requests as they are so busy, and also they sometimes don't count for your beer tour accurately, but just check before leaving and they will make the corrections. Of course, the food is always great, but at times they are out of beer that is on their drink list or part of a mini-tour but if that is the case, they pretty much let you make substitutions for whatever you want.

Our rugby team has enjoyed a team meal here every year we come to town to play. They can deliver delicious food for a large group and we will be back again next year!

Good chain food and famous beer selection. It is a family favorite when no one know what they want.

I visited Denver back in July for a national soccer tournament.......with a U15 Girls soccer team. One of our parents set up this reservation, from home, for our team dinner. The location was perfect since we could walk from the hotel. Let me be honest, I was truly worried.... This place looks like a tiny restaurant from the outside. Hats off to this Old Chicago staff! They were able to expertly handle our group of 41 players and parents (on a Saturday night!). We had a great time. All the girls got to sit together with the parents at two separate tables all in the same area. The food was great (I had the spaghetti pie..... To die for!). This was my first visit to Old Chicago (didn't realize it was a chain). I would highly recommend this place for large or small groups. We tried another restaurant the next night..... Food was awful. Wish we had gone back to Old Chicago!!

Great pizza a pub atmosphere. Good selection of tap beers, friendly service. Food was just ok, though I did not have the pizza. Those I saw didn't exactly look mouth watering, but hey, I'm a Chicago native. Nothing special but a seemingly solid pizza a brew spot

Friendly staff, great beers, amazing food and good happy hour specials make this place a good one to have a meal. The World Beer Tour is a great program to encourage you to try different beers and earn rewards along the way. You can only get credit for 4 beers a day though. Great apps - my favorite is the pepperoni rolls.

We stopped in on a Thursday night (I believe) and we were just too tired to figure out dinner. We walked in around 10 pm and the joint was jumpin'. We were surprised so many people were there. And it was perfect timing, as it was happy hour. We ended up with O'Dell beers for $3. We had a fantastic server, Luke, who checked in on us frequently. The food is typical bar food, not great, but not too bad. What was absolutely wonderful was the service. Our food came out quickly, despite it being busy, as well as our drinks. Luke kept checking in on us, refreshing water and cracking jokes. After we left, my bf accidentally left his phone. We had to call back and make sure the phone was there before we turned around to retrieve it. Luke answered and told us that he tried to catch us in the parking lot, but we were gone too fast. We'll be back, just for Luke!

With the exception of one visit (the one time I didn't eat/drink at the bar, go figure), service has always been outstanding. I have to dock points for their stupid setup they have during NFL games on Sundays. The head manager (or owner) designates certain TVs for certain matchups and apparently employees can't change these. I was sitting at the left end of the bar and asked to watch the New England game. The bartender was happy to do it. The manager came around a couple minutes later and changed it back. I was forced to move to the end of the bar and watch the game from behind the cash register. When you have two people near one TV that want to watch a certain game, they should be able to without having to move around. C'mon man.

Have been thinking about coming here for sometime since people have talked so fondly of it. Myself and a my man decided to come here for lunch to enjoy some pizza after pizza was mentioned like 6 times on Coupling. We tried the peperoni wrap thingys (forgot the name) and then got a Meat Me pizza. The peperoni wraps were great, and the marinara sauce was on point...yummo! The Meat Me pizza arrived and I was very happy to see that the pizza was so well put together and delicious. Medium was the perfect way to go since we full about half way in. Lunch for the next day I say... Also, check out the amazing draft selection, so many to choose from you may have try the beer flight! Must go if your a pizza fanatic!

For a chain, it is a-okay! It's not really Chicago style pizza - the name is tricky - but it's tasty pizza nonetheless. They've got an extensive beer (and local!!) selection and are great at recommending a beer for your dinner. Last time we went, I wanted a calzone but stromboli's were on special so I ordered one (#frugal). Much to my surprise, a stromboli is just about a calzone with less dough - my dream calzone! If you've never had one, I'd recommend giving it a try.

So they had a happy hour special tonight -- $5 "Spiked Lemonade." I had two, which in my experience is how many drinks I can have in a couple of hours and still stay under the legal limit to drive. I couldn't taste the vodka, but I figured maybe that's just how the drink is. I keep a portable breathalyzer in my car, just to make sure I'm okay to drive. I checked it as soon as I left the restaurant, and it said my alcohol level was 0.00. After two drinks. Apparently it wasn't "spiked" at all. Just really overpriced lemonade.

  • Thomas O.

first of all it took me a long time to get my drink. it was loud and obnoxious. the waitress brought me my vodka coke with no coke in it and I had to complain about it. I usually don't complain about drinks ya know, but this was almost undrinkable. she took our order for a pizza artichoke chicken pizza. she brought us an Alfredo chicken pizza. we took one bite and said omg this is disgusting. we asked for our original order and while that was happening I order another drink. I did not get that until we were ready to leave.

Okay let's break it down: 1. It's Old Chicago's, it taste like all Old Chicago's. 2. Service here is pretty good 3. The parking lot was apparently designed for a whole 20 cars to park in, which wouldn't be a problem if you know, only 19 other people were there and it's not off of Broadway with no other parking that doesn't tow any where close. Had to walk 10 mins just to go there..in the cold...up hill both ways...with no shoes on. 4. It's loud, which I don't know is b/c there's a million people packed in like fish or if it's b/c the music is loud or both. I like Old C's, but I think I'll be moving on to another location just due to the parking situation alone

I stopped in for lunch and Kristen was my server and The restaurant was really busy that day, service was slow but they seem to be a little short staffed. The pizza and salad was great and they bought me a beer due to the slow pace of service but it really was no biggie

We went to Old Chicago mainly because it was the closest resturant with a decent beer selection. The resturant was on the small side and showing its age. The beer selection was satisfactory, but not impressive. The food was decent (pizza is pretty hard to screw up). The server was polite, but she was busy so it sometimes took a while to receive our drinks. Overall nothing to rave about but also nothing to complain about.

I had to give it a one star or they wouldn't let me write a review. I moved in the Denver area a month ago and I decided to try this place everybody was talking about. It was Monday around happy hour and they had 5 people at the bar and 2 High tops that had a total of 5 people. I walked in and sat at a high top, I noticed a waitress and a man who was the manager talking with three ladies. I waited for 10 minutes before I left, one would think the manager should be worried about everybody who comes to his place and not just the females. I would think twice going there if you want to get waited on.

I love this restaurant. In a general sense. But if you ever go there, and get a server named Dave, leave... We came in on a Saturday night, and we were pretty stoned. That's LEGAL in Colorado. And Dave refused to serve us drinks. His overall judgement of human behavior is inaccurate, to say the least. As soon we got our food, which was just okay, we immediately asked for a box, even though we wanted to stay there. The service was disgraceful...

I really feel like I could give the "OC" 5 stars because I think that for what it is it truly is a good experience. I've been a World Beer Tour member for going on a year. If you're unfamiliar that's where you drink 110 different beers and get swag along the way. After you've done your first tour, you start getting money back instead of swag. Although I think most Old Chicagos seem to have really good servers and bartenders, this one seems to be the best. It's very much like Cheers when you walk in, the bartenders and servers are really good about remembering people's names. The best time to come is during the week from 3-6 or after 10. All apps are 1/2 off and draft beers are $1 off. Also their small plates menu has some great choices, all for under $4 - mini meatballs, fried mac n cheese, fried pickles, and Mediterranean salad. Given the wide range of bottled and draft beers, you'll find something you like. If beer isn't your thing, their margaritas are awesome too.

I have been a fan of Old Chicago for ages. I love their lunch combos. It appears they have changed the pizza in the lunch combo sometime in the past month or so. Still good and still great value. Place does get busy around lunch time but what place doesn't get busy for lunch

I've been here 3 times lately as I've recently moved to the area, at different times of day and different days of the week. The food isn't GREAT, but it's pretty darn good. No complaints here. I've recently been educated on their wide variety of beers. They do promos, like mini-tours. For instance, for St. Patrick's Day, they have a number of Irish beers to try. You can also do a taster of 4 beers for like $5. They line them up according to the strength of taste (like you would try a blonde before you had an IPA). Twice I had the same server, Patrick, who was amazingly friendly and helpful. Just because of the service he provided, and the beers, I will be back. Also, on a side note, there's extra parking in the back. Never had a problem, even on a busy night. You can also park in the Veterinary lot after 6 or 7pm (can't remember).

It really bothers me that you try to push this off as Chicago Pizza. Have you ever had Chicago style pizza?Ya'll arent even close man. This is a slight step above Pizza Hut. Nothing more. You should have to change the name...The way it is now is false advertisement.

This worn and tattered location features their typical, yet delicious monster sized bar food. From pizzas to wings to calzones, etc... We were here on a very busy Sunday night and the service was very good, with the hostess and manager even pitching in to make sure everyone was taken of. I had the fish and chips, very good, cripsy and with an interesting spicy creme tarter sauce. Huge portions. For a sport bar, its suprising that many TV's are still cathode. Hey Old Chicago, you aren't THAT old. They have flat screens now.

  • Dylan L.

There's a lot to love here-delicious pizza, a huge number of beers to try (including an impressive amount on tap), good wait staff, cool atmosphere. It's good for a stop in every now and then, but only when I'm feeling flush, given the prices. Let me put it this way-a PBR will cost you the same as a Fat Tire-they're both $4.50. PBR is $4.50?! In what universe? It's shame really, Old Chicago, because we would be great together. But when you want me to pay the same amount for awful mass produced beer as I would for a local craft beer, it just can't work that often. Pople like PBR because it's cheap. Still...that's some damn good pizza.

We came here pretty late on a weekday and was surprised how crowded it was (i think it might have been trivia night). After getting seated, we were impressed with the large beer selection. I did appreciate the waiter's knowledge of the beers. The buffalo wing appetizer was good, but nothing exceptional. As a fan of deep dish, I thought the pizza was pretty damn good. Overall, great bar with good pizza.

This is one of those places I wish I could give different stars for the different aspects of the business. Service was a five, beer was a four and food, well it was a solid three. We stumbled in here last night, after trying to eat Mexican food and finding everywhere close by closed. Our server (I think her name was Sasha?) Was extremely helpful and attentive. She explained the whole concept of the beer club, and signed us up , and was extremely patient in helping my partner find some new beers to try. The service was a perfect five. As for the beer, I fond it extensive and reasonably priced. I was drinking a 8%ABV pumpkin beer for $4.00 bucks . I cant really complain about that. Also the beer club, you can sign up for free, and get lots of free stuff ! Maybe I'm a little biased because I use to frequent a chain in Texas that made you pay to join their beer club, but I'm super stoked to try all the beer. A solid 4 stars. The least exciting thing was the food. It was OK. It was late night Happy hour so we got a sampling of the appetizers and a Side Ceaser Salad. The salad was super cold, like it had been pre-prepared then left in a cold fridge somewhere, but it was decent. We also got the Spinach Dip, and Pepperoni Rolls. The Spinach dip was spicy which was nice but the chips that were served with it were stale, and the Pepperoni Rolls were OK. The stand out to the meal was the Italian Nachos, and the Fried Mac and Cheese. The nachos were crispy cheese goodness and the marinara sauce was really good, and the fried mac and cheese, well you just cant go wrong there. The portions were huge and the price was cheap, and over all the food was good for what it is; Bar food. I think for me this place is a go to to watch the game , drink some beer, and maybe to get an app or too, but I don't know If i would come here again if i was looking to eat a full meal. On a side note, I also noticed they had bottomless fun non-alcoholic drink selection , flavored lemonades and such that might be nice to try for kids or those that don't drink.

Tonite was college reunion night sort of. About a hundred years ago, I worked in the OC in Boulder, washing dishes and then being a prep cook for the nicest guys on the planet to work for. The staff tells me it's still a fun place to work and I suspect one of my old girlfriends still has a crush on one of those guys..... The deluxe nachos and the Chicago Seven chicago style was just as fresh and just as good as I remembered it. We got a beer taster because I wanted to try the O'Doull's Scotch ale which was a definite great beer.

  • Patrick W.

Anyone who does not give 5 stars for the beer is a fake reviewer. Over 110 beers so if you cannot find a beer to drink and bitch you have the problem. It is a sports bar so if you do not like that it is near the Pepsi Center and has sports don't show up here for a romantic date. They have a private back bar that can be used for private parties and alumni groups.

I love the service here, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is pretty good, I'm disappointed they removed the nachos from their menu though. Overall a great atmosphere for a decent price

Parking here was kind of a nightmare as the front and back parking lots were both completely full! It turns out even though it was a Wednesday night, it was full because of college football (Bowl Week). This is what I get for suggesting a sports bar for dinner when none of us are there for the TVs! XD We got lucky because someone pulled out of a spot just as we were pulling in, so in the end all's well that ends well. Hopefully it isn't this crazy all the time! Food was great as usual, but WOW, this place was crowded. Even as crowded as it was, though, they managed to get our food and drinks to us fairly quickly, which is fantastic/commendable. Loved the Meat Me pizza. Honestly, though, the Meat Me is the only pizza on the menu we can stand, as the other combinations just don't do anything for us, but I'm kind of getting bored of Meat Me as I ALWAYS get it every time I go to Old Chicago. I guess I should start ordering custom pizzas. Service was great at the beginning when it was absolutely CRAZY and every table was occupied. Surprisingly, when the place started clearing out, service started tapering off. I had to flag down a waiter after all the glasses at our table had been dry for a while and we were starting to wonder if it was a hint that we should be getting along. It was VERY warm at our table. Having seven people crammed around a six-person booth might have something to do with that, though (the seventh pulled up a chair at the end.)

Solid Place. I travel all over the country and I have a rule about chains. I had to break it last night as I was without a car and on limited time. This location was only a few blocks from my hotel and had some good ratings on Yelp and came recommended by the front desk as well. 110 beers to select from and a large amount of those on tap is always a good thing, especially when they are not macro brews. Good small batch breweries. The bartender, Gabe, was great. Lots of TVs and sports options around the bar and good company. The other bar patrons and I had some good conversation. The food was good (especially for a chain). Based on what I had and the others around me, I would recommend the pizzas (mine was great and all looked good). The jerk wings were good and the jerk spice was right on. The Italian nachos were a hit as well. If you go, enjoy. It is worth it.

I don't particularly care for chains but Old Chicago gets a pass from me. Their pizzas are very fresh tasting and I particularly like their artisan style pizzas - lots of tasty options. Pizza is really the bulk of their menu but they also have some great sandwich options and good pasta like chicken mac and cheese and lasagna (actually good) and spaghetti and meatballs. The fish and chips are not bad either. Another reason Old Chicago is a hit with me is that it is very kid friendly. It does a really tasty cheese pizza for the little ones and they are always happy to bring out a small scoop of vanilla ice cream in a cute little bowl with a cherry on top. This particular Old Chicago is just a tad run down but it is clean and the staff is always friendly.

I like Old Chicago.... and not just cuz I'm from the real ,actual, most awesome Chicago. This establishment is fun and they have good food. I enjoy both fun and food so it would be easy to understand why I find myself right at home here. The girls and I were knocking out some holiday shopping recently and decided we needed a little food in our bellies before we conquered this task. We didn't, however, stop to think about the fact that both the Broncos AND Bears were playing in tandem during the very time we were hungry. The parking lot was a nightmare and should have clued me in that this place was PACKED!!!! People, including myself sorta "made up" our own spots. You need a better and bigger lot. Just sayin'. Anyhow after parking illegally we ventured inside. Yikes! A sea of orange and blue laden fans, hooting and hollering emerged. Double yikes! This kinda situation could make for a very bad dining experience... but it did not! I was most pleased and a little surprised. Our server was friendly and attentive and didn't at all seem to be "in the weeds". Our food arrived quickly and hot and my Blue Moon was cold and hit the spot. My kids got regular sized cups but with lids, this is GENIUS!!!! No spilling and the drink wasn't gone in 4 sips! The nachos were also great, I love real cheese on nachos. The jalapenos were also huge and very fresh.... beans, guac, sour cream...warm gooey deliciousness! I LOVE NACHOS. We also had some wings. The regular Buffalo sauce was super.... the Jerk spiced ones.... yeah ... not so much. It was like someone dipped a chicken wing in Lawry's season salt and that was it. Blecho. The kid's sized portions are big and Sammie's meatball was the size of her face, she stabbed it with a fork and nibbled it all away! We have been eating at Old Chicago for years and I honestly can't think of a bad experience. So unless you are one of those chain restaurants phobics get over there and have some fun. You can thank me later...

  • Angela A.

This is not Chicago style pizza, so don't go expecting thick pies with sauce on top of yummy toppings and gooey cheese. This is just regular pizza, regular and thick crust. But the sauce is good, and the toppings aren't bad, they seem fresh but I have a feeling they come from a Sysco truck. The apps are glutenous. So bad for you, but taste so good. The pasta nachos are up there with my favorite along with the artichoke dip and pepperoni rolls. My husband and I actually like to go here for happy hour, and they have 2-after work and late night. They have half price apps and good beer specials. You can also get a personal pizza on the happy hour, which is good enough for us to split along with another app. The happy hour apps aren't full portions, and it's good they aren't because the full portions are huge! And speaking of huge, so is the beer list here. They have great local taps that I enjoy. There are seasonal rotating taps, and local rotating taps too. So, Old Chicago, great happy hour for sure.

I could probably find something to complain about, but why? Great place, smaller than the usual chain OC. Feels nice and local, very popular on a Sunday evening. Very nice server, Sarah. Excellent pizza. Good beer. Walked up from the Courtyard, nice and convenient.

  • Erin F.

I went to Old Chicago probably monthly in college for the beer. Now being back here for a quick visit, this was not what I was looking for. When I travel to a city, I want to live like the locals do... not like the tourists do. I guess I can never boycott chains totally and completely, but I can try! Had the turkey burger tonight and it was... eh. Fries were hot and crispy, so that was a plus. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired. I feel like I should wear some items of flare when I walk in.

Great Denver Pizza Hunt (Stardate 01287, The Depression Quadrant) I admit we still (very occasionally) eat here, the review is a composite of me and my wife (who actually somewhat enjoys the pizza). I can attest that the many beers and the whole "we make it seem like it's 11pm when its sunny and 11am outside" window shades are appealing, the pizza is mediocre. The sauce tastes like it was made out of canned petite cut tomatoes (that's how I make mine, I'm cheap!), the cheese is the extra greasy variety, and the dough is the Pizza Hut special (lard up the pan before putting it in the oven and balls to yeast!), the meat-type shit is actually OK, if you're into that. The three star is for beers, good times, and the law of averages. Despite what my better half thinks, this pizza is definitely a 1.5 star.

Decent food the staff is friendly and its one of the better local bars in the area. The bartenders have always been friendly and helpful when I've been there and the pizza is good as well.

Call me crazy but I love Old C. I just wish it was closer to my house. You cant beat Yeti stout for 3.25 at happy hour. The pizza is decent, the chicken caesar salad rocks but stay away from the fish n chips. All the naysayers here need to just park their butts at the bar. Thats where the service is. The bartenders are on top of it because theyre over 16 and know where the real money is. Just avoid this place on football Sundays... good luck finding a place to park.

    (5)
  • Tommy S.

Old Chicago is really quite good for a chain. I love the pizza rolls and the calzones. The italian melt is great too. Beer is TOO expensive though, especially for a place that uses the beer selection as a selling point.

First off wtf is with valet on a tuesday evening? Thanks for taking up all the parking with your stupid booth and cones. Then the server tries to stick us at the worst table right in the way of everything. Why was the A/C blasting in the winter?! Other than that the service was good and the food was too.

    (3)

Old Chicago is one of the best chains going around. There food is really good even the non pizza items. Beer is a little on the high side, but they have a late night happy hour which makes beer reasonable.

  • Carla G.

I'm just not crazy about this place. It smells like old lettuce. They need to air it out in there and add a little polish. Some of the dishes are a little sad. The food is just okay, a little on the disappointing side. If you're not going there to get drunk and watch sports, go find someplace else.

Rude hostess had us heading for the door! She gripped at us for not waiting for her to seat us! I didn't see a sign or hostess when we walked in the door, so we sat down... and all we got was attitude. Needless to say, we decided to spend our money elsewhere.

I really like watching sports at this bar. They have great drink prices, and always some unique beers in. I've had good food here, and horrible food here. Overall, the staff is awesome there regardless. Just don't order steak at a pizza joint..

I don't usually say, "Hey, guys, let's go to Old Chicago!!" It has always been one of those places, like Conoco, that you only go to because it's convenient. THIS particular Old Chicago, however, doesn't even earn the convenience visit. It's more like Bubba John's Gas Shak: you know what I mean, one of those shabby joints whose smirking cashier is wearing a t-shirt that says, "Are those space pants you're wearing? Because I want to take a rocket to Uranus." In the end, you'd rather drive a couple more miles than fill-up there. Maybe they've just strived for a tad too much authenticity. I've been to Chicago. You know that dark dank corner under the L tracks that has some wadded up piece of something soaked in something else.... That's what this Old Chicago smells like. And you know the panhandler who follows you around, giving you "tips" on what to do in the city for five minutes in the hopes you'll give him a couple of bucks? That guy is more helpful than the servers here. On the plus side, they do have food, beer, and sports on TV.

Great place. The service was as good as the fried mac & cheese! I ordered a calzone & my Bf had the veggie Chicago hoggie. His wasn't very good but when we told the waitress she replaced it with a delicious mushroom & swiss burger. We will def come back soon.

You know I'm not a huge fan of Old Chicago's.... The food is eh, ok, the prices are somewhat on the higher end for what you get, and the service is always sketchy. The beer selection is great, but again the prices are pretty high. But for some reason I still end up finding myself here, perhaps because my friends are enchanted with it for some reason or another, so I guess I will leave it at that and give this place its 3rd mediocre star.

I used to eat at Old Chicago's around town years ago but had never been to this particular one. The service was awful. Salad comes as dessert, pizza toppings burnt to a crisp. A few days later someone ordered some pizzas for the office and food poisoning style symptoms for all. I've done the beer tour here, they do have a good selection of beer. A little pricey though. I won't be back to this one.

okay, Old Chicago. I'm hooked. Always always have great service. Bartender, Sam is great. Friendly-helpful (it was my first time in) Probably the reason I came back was the service. Pizza is not bad. I love pizza so I can be a bit picky, but regardless, its good. AND they have a great lunch deal. The next time i came in, i tried the mac'n cheese. holy shizz. my favorite mac'n cheese in Denver. that says a lot coming from me. great service again. my most recent encounter. well i ordered the mac'n cheese again, and some cheese-garlic bread. I was on the phone after I had ordered, and the server didnt rush my order. which was great. Dont you hate when, after you put in a full order (appetizer and entree) and you get your food too quickly with very little time in between?? Not the case. I wish I remembered his name. He was great. Try the Mac'n Cheese if you aren't a huge fan of the pizza but like going to this place. It's great. Thinly sliced chicken so you can actually get a bite of the pasta, chicken and mushrooms. Yes! mushrooms, too! AH, so good. Oh, and they make a great Long Island :-)

Here I go reviewing another chain business, but I think, as far as chains go, that Old Chicago is a little different. My first complaint, of course, is the weird parking situation. Signs that seem to point in different directions discussing where you can park, etc. etc. But once I figured it out (at least I think I did--my car wasn't towed), I was golden. I met a friend here for dinner recently and we took advantage of the $20 deal involving a pizza & a cookie. A huge cookie. A disgustingly amazing cookie. Oh, yeah, the pizza was great (we're boring, so we got double pepperoni), but that cookie was great. Almost as good as homemade, since it comes served hot & melty (the chocolate chips, anyway). Our server was really nice and adorable. He kept coming back to check on us, even though I know we had to be annoying not having our order in quickly enough. But we tipped well and we were nice, so I'm sure he was fine with it. Even the guy who brought our pizza & cookie out was really nice. And although it's not my favorite pizza, I'm definitely a fan of this place.

HAPPY HOUR HAPPY HOUR HAPPY HOUR (from 4pm-6pm don't quote me though $1. off drafts & well cocktails, 1/2 appetizers, and $2.49 1 topping mini pizza) Get 10 delicious wings (jalapeno flavored for us) for $3.99. The pizza is decent not deep dish but the service was fast and efficient. Not the friendliest but did i tell you about the happy hour $3.99 wings??? Oh yeah, they have 30 beers on tap.

I really don't know why I haven't reviewed this place yet considering I've been here over 6 times and it's right by my apt. We love this place! For drinking anyways. It's our late night bar of choice since they have daily specials on food and drinks. The service is always super fast and they let you sample any of their many beers on tap or in bottles. You wouldn't expect that from a chain but it's actually pretty awesome. PS...definitely try their late night personal pizza...it's a great deal!

This place quickly became my standby; I came to Old Chicago on Colorado Blvd most Monday nights for about (5) months. Fantastic beer selection with regularly rotating taps and generous range of bottles. The food is very good, solid and consistent, the atmosphere is friendly and casual, and the crowd diverse without unnecessary hipsterness. Everyone was enjoying themselves and the food; it was like this for the whole 5 months I came here. Go see Brian in the bar, you won't be disappointed. NOTE: If you're expecting nouveau gourmet pizza made with truffle Icelandic cheddar crafted by elves wedged into old bourbon barrels this probably isn't your place.

Enter snobby pizza snob review. Maybe I just haven't had a really good slice o' pie in a while, but my hubby brought me here recently and it just didn't hit the spot. I know a lot of people like this place, but I was more excited by their beer list than their pizzas and probably would've given them 2 stars if it weren't for that beer list. And this is going to sound silly, but it bugged me that they cut their pizza like Little Caesar's. I wanted a slice, not a square!

Yet another place that I used to frequent years back, but now find myself working in near proximity to. The lunch specials here are a fairly good deal. I enjoy the pizza and either get that or my beloved Italian Nachos. The salads I had at lunch here were definitely NOT good. They were overly dressed, bitingly cold (like 2 degrees above freezing), and felt as if they had been pre-made and sitting in the cooler for a while (and probably were). Service is generally good. I have not had a beer here for many years, but I used to enjoy the selection. Italian Nachos = 5 stars Everything Else = 3 stars

Old Chicago is becoming an old standby for my group of friends. After aerial training nearby we are in need of calories, in both food and drink form. We always arrive late enough for happy hour so are quick to order the $2 pub pizzas and our favorite draft. The menu helps you determine the best beer for your taste and your server can back-fill with additional info and tastes. On our last visit we also tried the fried zucchini with lemon aioli. Loved this! Healthy yet fried, savory and tangy. We also shared the peppered bacon smothered cheese fries which was probably a terrible idea, but really satisfying in the moment.

I'm not sure if it gets the nod for being one of the only late night spots in town, or, if it's all that good. But good golly, when it's late and you have to get your grub on, this is how you do it. Thick, Chicago style 'za. That's how they do it, and it's very good. With TV's all around, draft beers a'plenty, this is more than a great late not spot. The ambiance is little divey and sports-themed, but it adds to the Je ne sais quoi. Yes. YES. YES!

This review is specific to this Old Chicago alone--we love the ones in Superior and even Boulder. Pizza-loving husband and I are up here in Boulder/Denver visiting my parents for the week. I introduced husband to OC a couple years ago when we were in Boulder and he has been craving it ever since. He was so excited to come to this one in Denver! We sat in the enormous booth in the bar (at the direction of the hostess) since there was a longish wait for a booth in the dining room (we were meeting a friend). I know bar service can be slow, so we weren't bothered at all by the long wait before drink orders and eventually food orders were taken. That was ok! But they screwed up husband's order and tried to blame it on HIM (he ordered "pizza with hamburger" and they brought him a "hamburger pizza" which is, according to the waitress, one of their specialty pizzas). Honest mistake. Not a huge deal. But she said she'd have the right one to him in 3-4 minutes and it was 20 minutes before it came (friend and I had already eaten ... felt bad but cold pizza is not good and cute husband insisted). Then ... they ran out of husband's drink (diet Coke or Pepsi, I can't remember which) and that was just kinda the thing that took his highly anticipated trip to OC from WAY SUPER EXCITED to sad leaky balloon. :-( Server was unapologetic about any of this, and pizza was just "meh" compared to the Superior and Boulder stores. The salad was good, though. You'd think they would comp or at least discount his pizza and drink since they ran out, but nope. It was $45 for his medium pizza, my personal pizza, his soda and my beer. I left a tip to reflect the service. We won't be back to this store.

Seriously my favorite spot after a rough evening of aerials. Dropped your partner? Buy them a large cookie! Your partner elbowed in the face? Recuperate through Italian Nachos! Back aches? Personal $2 pizza happy hour recovery! Instant pick-me-ups. What can I say? I like their food especially those Italian nachos. Yum!

Let me start by saying I've been to many Old C's and can't tell you how many Chicago Style Double Deckeronis I've stuffed down my pizza pie hole over the years. When I pulled up to this location for the first time last Thursday night, the parking situation was very dicey. Advice: If you're planning on going when there's a game on, bring a rabbit's foot or comfortable walking shoes. (I should mention that this was St Louis Rams vs Arizona Cardinals, so I can't imagine what it's like when there's a watchable game on.) I can't complain much about the way the food tasted or the service. My childhood friend of 20+ years and I sat on the same side of the booth to share a good view of a nearby TV. At the time, it seemed like it would be worth the risk of appearing openly homosexual. Nobody seemed uncomfortable or judgmental about it, although something happened to me after the meal and I can't guarantee there was no foul play involved... Within a few minutes of getting home, I was sitting on the toilet, and thank goodness I have a good view of the bedroom television from there, because that was where I would stay for the next couple of hours. I'll try not to go into too much detail here--all I can say is that it felt like I was sitting on a Bunsen burner both during and after. And the smell... my wife and I got into a fight while I was stuck in the bathroom because she wanted to get ready for bed but it was so bad I didn't want her to come in. When I was finally able to get to bed after a few shots of Pepto, my teeth were literally chattering and my temperature dropped to 97 degrees flat. I didn't go into work until 10:30 the next day. I brought the leftovers home in a box before all this happened, and even though I knew it wasn't worth the risk, I was very hungry and hungover on Saturday morning, so I decided to find out once and for all if it was the 'za or the drinks that poisoned me. Thankfully, it must've been one of the two drinks I had there (some dark dunkel beer followed by a pear cider), because I did not have the same issues the second time around. My wife thinks that it takes several hours for food poisoning to set in, so it must've been what I had for lunch (burrito from Burrito Giant with hot green chile). I don't think it would've taken that long, so I still say it was the pear cider which tasted funny and was on special, probably because it was way past it's prime. I'm sorry, Old C's, but how can I give you more than two stars after this traumatic experience? Consider yourself fortunate; for you would've only gotten one star had my rear exploded again on Saturday. From now on, I shall refer to you as "Old Sh__cago."

I've been to a different Old Chicago in Aurora and loved the pizza, atmosphere and service but this location fell short of that experience. They have a 2 for $20 special which I tried. I got two pizzas (or any other entree you chose from their list) and an appetizer for $20. The two pizzas are both personal sized pizzas and the appetizer was enough for four. I tried the grilled cheese appetizer that came with tomatoes and basil. It was very tasty and the bread had a nice crunch. The serving size was also generous. My individual pizza came out to be a Chicago style pan pizza rather than the thin crust than I requested. They only allow you to choose three toppings for that so I got extra mozzarella cheese, mushrooms and Italian sausage. This pizza tasted fine but was not as great as the Meat Me pizza that I tried at their other location. The 2nd pizza we got was the Thai pizza. The only other Thai pizza I've had is the one served at California Pizza Kitchen. This Thai pizza was underwhelming and was too entirely sweet to even finish. My family all got tired of the pizza after two bites of our slices. It tasted way too sweet and had a bad soft texture. It was very greasy and had little chicken. Because the servers forgot to put our Thai pizza into the order, it came out much later. As an apology our sweet waitress gave us a free pazookie-like dessert. It was a chocolate chip cookie that was served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The vanilla ice cream tasted like the cheap plain kind with little flavor that you get when you buy the giant generic tub or cardboard box at the market. Mom felt the dessert was too sweet for her liking because of the cookie. We ended up eating 3/4 of the cookie and all of the ice cream. Dad also ordered a New Castle that came in a broken beer glass. The waitress also gave dad a teaser glass of a different beer that came in a shooter glass that was also broken (large crack in the side). Definitely unsafe. Mom also complained of the loudness in the restaurant. The place has lower ceilings than the Aurora location so the noise doesn't dissipate as well. I do want to say though that our waitress was very sweet. She was friendly and attentive and replaced dad's broken beer glass as soon as we informed her. She was very considerate in giving us a free dessert due to the delayed Thai pizza.

I could probably find something to complain about, but why? Great place, smaller than the usual chain OC. Feels nice and local, very popular on a Sunday evening. Very nice server, Sarah. Excellent pizza. Good beer. Walked up from the Courtyard, nice and convenient.

Old Chicago is one of the best chains going around. There food is really good even the non pizza items. Beer is a little on the high side, but they have a late night happy hour which makes beer reasonable.

This past experience I had here was awesome! The server was excellent, attentive and brought over an extra sample of beer with the ones we ordered. Not sure his name, my tab says "Curry" was my server. Pizza rolls were delish. However it is super loud on the restaurant side.

Just really overpriced lemonade.

first of all it took me a long time to get my drink. it was loud and obnoxious. the waitress brought me my vodka coke with no coke in it and I had to complain about it.
