I feel bad giving a 3 star review. The taste is similar to yogurtland, and reasonable priced. No parking, or very hard to find if you don't live within walking distance and my froyo melted within minutes. Boo.

Eh it was ok, I wasn't in love with any of the flavors and there was no creamy delicious ones such as cake batter, cheesecake, CHOCOLATE. I almost didn't get anything because I don't care for fruity flavors so I settled on boring vanilla. It was...ok. I was pretty stoked for this place to open and I think it will do in a pinch but Froyo Zone up the street is much better. I am moving away from the area so I won't return but it is alright. I saw one of the low/no sugar options was sweetened with stevia instead of splenda and I appreciate that. +1

Hmmm - so good! They have a lot of flavors, lots of toppings, a clean bathroom, and plenty of seating inside & out. I had a chocolate mocha concoction with a few toppings. I think the price is typical. And I enjoyed it sitting at their outdoor patio, where I forgot for 5 minutes that I was in Denver... I felt like I was on vacation (I know, really cheesy, but it's true!). I'll be going back!

Most froyo places have a ton of fruity flavors and few chocolate/sinful flavors. Not Nova. I've had salted caramel, cafe latte, nutella, chocolate, cookies and cream, and red velvet here. I do a mix of these, add chocolate chip cookie dough brownie bits health bar fudge and oreo bites... *drool* Over and over again just say yes!!!

My new favorite yogurt. I actually had their Nutella Gelato TO DIE FOR !!!!!!

Great flavors and toppings. Different from other yogurt shops with its own flair in gelatos, ole.Ty of candy, fruit and sauces. There is even a few non-dairy options.

It kills me that this place is a block from our house... Because it's the best fro yo in Denver and I always want it!!! The Nutella and Salted Caramel are so good. I love the Sweet 8 varieties too, because they are only 32 calories for a half cup! That's insane. Get some Sweet 8, and then add just a little of the full fat Nutella! Great toppings, always CLEAN!

One of the better yogurt shops in Denver. Excellent variety of flavors. I enjoy that they also have a few "gelato" options, in addition to yogurt. The original tart mixed with pomegranate is delightful - add some fresh berries and a sprinkle of chocolate chips and I'm in heaven! We'll be back Nova!

Fro-yo Girl's Mini-Me here. When I was a DU student, I enjoyed the short walk from Daniels to Nova Yogurt. Just opened last September (2011), this place is always hopping with DU students and local families. 41 cents per ounce. They have exquisite flavors which are announced every week via their FB page. My favorite flavor thus far has been almond milk: completely non-dairy and so wholesome to eat with mochi or cookie dough toppings. Nova always has fresh, clean machines & a diverse selection of toppings. Be careful with the dispensers to the left; turn slowly! What's also awesome about Nova are their CUPCAKES. They are so big yet so good! Made onsite by a pastry chef, these just simply melt in your mouth. Plus, you really cannot resist the display; feast with your eyes if you must. Asian pastries are also sold here, as well as coffee, drinks, etc. Love this place. These days I'm not so close to Nova, so I will have to settle for Red Mango (well, Red Mango IS my favorite fro-yo shop actually).

This is my new go-to froyo spot! They have so many options to choose from... Tons of froyo flavors, dairy-free almond milk froyo, and amazingggg gelato! The salted caramel and nutella gelato are addictive! There's also a bunch of toppings and sauces to choose from. They've got ample seating inside and a nice patio area out front. It's almost a shame this place is so close to my house.. I crave it wayy too often!

Love! I'm addicted to this place. They have a huge range, including homemade gelato (salted carmel is AMAZING), which is so good! They also have a non dairy, vegan option, and several very low calorie flavors! Toppings get 9/10. I have not tried their baked goods but they look great as well. Parking is hard though!

It's yogurt people. Good location for DU people, but hell trying to park in that area. The staff was very blase. My kids like it, so I like it, but honestly, nothing new, not original.

I tried to go out for Froyo last night at my usual go-to place with my husband and when we got there it was completely shut down! We were both in shock because we had no warning. The place was always busy when we went. We got out our phones and this place was pretty close to our location so we decided to give it a go. I was happy about the kiddy cups, I don't need a giant bowl thanks. I was also excited about the clean and tasty toppings bar. They had the usual staples as well as hot fudge. Hot fudge is hard to come by in froyo places. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate outside and it was really pleasant. I DID find the yogurt to be a bit on the watery side, not creamy like we're used to. However, the convenience of the shop, small cup option, and toppings bar that had everything I like in my froyo cup will keep me coming back.

I love Froyo and have tried many places around Denver and this place is the best! I enjoy many of their flavors, especially the Original Greek and Nutella. They have ton of toppings to choose from. I like the waffle stick and mochi combo. Very nice atmosphere with outdoor seats. Great place for an after dinner desert.

I am going to yell this in all caps because it's very important... THIS IS THE BEST FROYO IN DENVER, PEOPLE.

I have easily been to Nova 20 times by now. Five stars because I think of Nova at least three times a day and wish I lived within walking distance. I can barely stand eating Yogurtland or any other froyo since I discovered Nova last winter. I am thoroughly addicted to their Nutella gelato and am also a huge fan of their raspberry and mango frozen yogurts. So, so, so good.

I would not normally write a review of a yogurt place but Nova is more than a yogurt place for me. For starters, they have gelato, not just any gelato, but salted, caramel gelato. It's divine! But the big draw is my son goes to a nearby elementary school. After I pick him up, if we have something to talk about, at least twice a week, this is where we go. It's very clean, and before you can get a cup, there is a hand cleanser dispenser. This may seem like a little thing, but if you imagine all the kids going there after school before washing their hands, well, you get the point. I've had many important discussions over two years with my son while enjoying gelato. I'm disappointed by what I overhear from the cashiers about how strict the owner is. He won't let them read when the store is empty and there was this issue about $2 bills, but it's hearsay as far as I'm concerned, and the teenage girls should not be trash talking their employer. I've never seen him be mean. We've been there at least 35 times and plan to keep going. We miss River. She was the nicest cashier and never said a mean word about anyone, including the owner.

Fixed their Greek tart & got some info from the owner! Very happy about this! :))

I really love this place, so does my boyfriend. He likes it so much because they have HOT fudge. I usually get the Oreo or the Nutella gelato! It's really good on it's own and has a nice texture. Anyways, have nothing but good things to say about this place. Omnomnom.....

Not too shabby. There's been a huge trend lately for sel-serve froyo, which is great for me because with my sensitive dientes (that's teeth to you), I can't eat your old-fashioned scooped ice cream without wincing in pain with each bite. The melt-in-your-mouth goodness of froyo is a different story! I was happy to see this place pop up near DU, and in a spot that is usually un-occupied, or only for a few months for a come and go Halloween store. They're definitely going for a Pink Berry vibe, which really is what everyone is doing. It's the hip thing. When you walk in you can grab a standard cup, a monster cup, or even a small sample cup to try em all out before you decide. They get mega bonus points for having cards that list ingredients and nutrition facts. For someone who is allergic to red food coloring (yep, random) that's great, even better that they don't use it, but vegetable/beet juice to color it instead. They have a good variety of flavors, from stuff like pink grapefruit (which is actually tart, like grapefruit) to devil's food cake batter (VERY rich), then toppings like crushed peanuts, chocolate chips, etc. It's very decently priced, and they charge by the ounce which is a good way of doing it. Overall, a pretty good froyo option, and good to have it in the area.

Average tasting flavors.. It doesn't get close to Yogurtland which btw. is the best Froyo I had so far.

This place is awesome. Their mango is like the best mango fro yo I've ever experienced! I haven't tried any of the baked goods or coffee but they always look great.

I wasn't expecting anything too original from Nova Yogurt Co. and nothing was too special about the place. But it wasn't bad and I think it will definitely continue to be a hit on a college campus. The flavors were nothing out of the ordinary but I did enjoy the raspberry and chocolate. I liked the variety of toppings Nova offers and love the indoor/outdoor seating arrangement. I will probably be back if I have a sudden desire for frozen yogurt.

BY FAR the worst frozen yogurt I have ever had. I'm not sure if the previous reviewers have ever had frozen yogurt before but this is absolutely not what it should taste like. I will stay very far away from this place.

Self-serve froyo for the DU area which is perfect for hungry college students. Plus the interior is quite nice and clean and they do have a bakery to to set it aside from the big-name froyo companies. I have yet to try the bakery but it sure looks delicious.

I liked the decor but I did not like the taste of their froyo. It tasted like they took cheap grocery store yogurt and froze it....

This place has huge variety of flavors and toppings. All the flavors rock and at a great price ( $.39 per oz). Pinkberry watch out!

There's a lot of different flavors of yogurt and each one tastes great. Really fresh and all the toppings definitely enhance the flavor. The decor is lovely and the open front is a plus for the summertime. Good thing it's in a convenient location for students, plus the fact that it's so affordable will have people piling in.

I guess this frozen yogurt bar just isn't my thing. Let me clarify. The frozen yogurt PRICES aren't my thing. Went for the first time this evening, and it cost almost $7.00 for two cups with yogurt and some chips/granola sprinkled on top. Thank goodness I didn't add fruit. Everything tasted fine, it's just that I could see someone easily spending $5.00 for yogurt and toppings...not worth it to me

Self-serve yogurt shops seem to be popping up like mushrooms, but until Nova Yogurt opened there weren't any between Alameda and Hampden. (that I knew of). The location is great. Hopefully, the location will work for Nova Yogurt. Pricewise it is equivalent to most of the other self-serve chains. The flavor selection is pretty decent with multiple flavors ranging from fruit to cake batter and cookies and cream. The selection of toppings is pretty diverse. The fruit options all seemed fresh and well prepared. The dispenser for the chips and candies reminded me of a cereal dispenser and the contents could come out pretty quick if not careful. The experience is pretty much the same as any of the other chains, so if you like the self-serve experience like I do you should be pretty pleased. The only thing I took issue with was the lighting and decor. It is pretty dark inside and doesn't give the impression of exciting and new. If I were paranoid it would definitely not be a place where I would want to linger.

This place has become a little bit to frequented by this girrlllllllll! Yep me. I am addicted. Like.... it's bad. You know how frozen yogurt can be a really healthy treat. A dieter's snack even? Well, I just go balls to the wall when I come here! This place has major toppings... I am talking about puppy chow, heath bar, mocha bar, brownies, oreo's, which chocolate chips... pretty much any kind of chocolate you can think of. They have tons of fruit toppings and ways of making your yogurt a bit healthier. The flavors are awesome as well. banana, chocolate, oreo, vanilla. My personal favorite is the nutella flavored yogurt. Yum. Top that baby with hot fudge, brownies, heath bar, a dash of puppy chow... and who needs a boyfriend! YOU MUST GO HERE.

I just found my new fave yogurt shop! After a delicious dinner, Abby Q., Evan B., and I decided to come-in here for a spot of fro-yo before a movie... perfection! They have soft serve gelato too and that was monnnnnney! The banana flavor is made with real banana, coconut milk, and honey. Best flavor ever! The toppings selection is awesome and they also do some coffee drinks as well as homemade cupcakes and sweet buns. I can't wait to come back!

You can definitely tell the difference between natural fro yo and fro yo that comes from a powder package. I worked at a place for a long time where I made fro yo from powder packages. Trust me. There's a difference. The blood orange is amazing and so is the salted caramel. I love that they have appropriate toppings for each flavor (salt for the salted caramel, duh) also. It looks like they have breakfast and coffee in the mornings but I've never tried it. They could use more dry toppings, there's nothing really out of the ordinary except for maybe the coconut jelly but I don't know one person who would honestly eat that. Otherwise no complaints. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area.

I have tried plenty of frozen yogurt places in the Denver area and this by far has the best variety of both flavors and toppings.

There is a distinct difference between Nova and Pinkberry, and Nova and Yogurtland. The yogurt base for Nova comes from a locally - sourced creamery from Boulder; it is used at Ripple in Boulder and 32nd Treat in the Highlands. That means the yogurt is all-natural goodness, not fake (sugary, corn-syrup), or premixed, like at Yogurtland. Because of this, the yogurt tends to not pack the distinct punch of flavors at other yogurt shops. But it is self-serve, which Pinkberry is not; also, most Pinkberry flavors (and there are six) are tangy/fruity. Nova has a wide variety of kinds, and flavors. Yum. and their toppings come in cool, twisty containers, so little kid germs can't take over. If you can't tell, I like this place and their yogurt. I also like that it is $0.39/oz., which is cheap compared to other places serving the same kinds of yogurt. My one complaint, because it is so close to DU, all the moms who take their kids to preschool, and after-school stuff at DU, then come to Nova. There were so many kids, and they were shrieking so loudly, I could not converse with the person I was there with. We had to wait for them to leave to start our conversation again. I know, they're kids, but can we please make sure they are not disturbing other customers? Parking would not be good, if I wasn't already on campus doing other things, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to stop here.
