I really think this place should be called "My Favorite Cupcake". Don't get me wrong, the muffins are delicious, but when I want a muffin I don't want a cupcake. Maybe they just need better distinction on their menu between options that are actual Muffins and the Cupcake-like Muffin-cakes?

Came by here on Saturday morning after a somewhat disappointing brunch where my husband left hungry. The gal working the counter was so helpful and friendly. We got a dozen delicious muffins, each as good as the next. The cheesecake muffins are amazing, but don't underestimate the apple one. Its filled with juicy apple filling! I had never been to this location, only the one on Arapahoe. Seems like they run some good deals! Glad we went!

I adore this place! It's calm, inviting, clean, and the epitome of a happy muffin shop. Employees are friendly and welcoming, the owners are quite possibly the most wonderful people I've ever met, and the muffins? Well, they're incredible. Personal favorite = banana nut and carrot cake, but they're all worth the visit (the cheesecake & chocolate-themed muffins get rave reviews from my office). Additionally, the hazelnut coffee is not to be missed! This is not Starbucks super-bitter/strong coffee. It's "seasoned" Brewster's Coffee, which is a particularly mild and totally delicious coffee that even me (not formerly a coffee drinker) could be turned on to. This place is absolutely worth a visit, but be warned: you might get hooked. :)

Pretty good muffins but they need more variety. They had .79 muffins one afternoon which maybe were day old but it was still a bargain. The muffins are pretty heavy, especially the double chocolate. They are also drizzled with sugar icing which is extra sugar that is no needed. Overall too sweet and sugary. They should offer seasonal items, and other types of pastries that you can't get at other bakeries and coffee shops. I realize this is a franchise but they need to find a way to stand out more and have more unique items. Very friendly and courteous staff too!

Thank goodness this place is a good walk from where I work. Such tasty little muffins! The coffee is also good as long as they keep the carafes filled.

Walked by here this afternoon as it started to snow. My roommate informed me that they sell mini-muffins of all varieties, so I ducked in a) because who can resist mini baked goods? and b) to warm up for a few minutes. The gal behind the counter was super friendly: When I told her it was my first visit, she offered me a free mini muffin to taste! I chose Deep Dish Apple, which was messy but so tasty! The minis are $.69 each or three for $1.59 (they also have a special deal on a dozen). I ordered cinnamon, blueberry and pumpkin spice (haven't tried them yet). When I had paid, the girl handed me my bag and said, "I threw in some extras so you could try some more flavors!" Free muffin to try PLUS more free muffins??? That's how you earn customer loyalty, folks! I will definitely be back and will be spreading the word about this cute little spot!

Not a review of any other My Favorite Muffin except the one on 16th Street Mall. The one in Englewood is great and the owner (I'm not even sure if he is the owner) is incredibly warm and welcoming. I started going to the LoDo location when I relocated to the nieghborhood as I do prefer going to local businesses (even if they are franchises). At the time, they were making a great Reeses Pieces mini-muffin that I totally caved for. All of a sudden, they stopped making. According to the workers, the owner forbade them from making them (no other explanation than that). At the time, I emailed the owner and consistent with her store's customer service, no response. I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling that day and the owner is certainly not the most outgoing friendly person the few times I have run in to her. In any case, I am a man of routine, so I kept going there every Sunday. Today, a sign - no longer open on Sunday until summer, really? No sign that beginning on ...., no word of warning when I was in there last Sunday. WTF? This woman obviously does not care about local or frequent customers. I just hope her employees got more notice than she gave her customers. I would discourage all local LoDo customers to stay well clear. To go on ;) - it's amazing that a corporate chain like Dunkin donuts can be so warm and welcoming to their neighborhood yet some locally owned businesses are so callous. In my opinion, if you really need to hit My Favorite Muffin - take a drive out to Englewood and see how a good business treats it's customers.

The muffins, bagels & sandwiches are decent but the service is marginal at best. I just went to grab a sandwich - there were 2-3 ppl working but they were a hot mess! Who's in charge of this place?! It was not busy but I waited 10 minutes while my sandwich sat on the counter 1/2 of that time bc no one could tell me it was mine. Glad I'm going gluten free again next week cause I'm done with this place.

Very nice people and good muffins, but the breakast sandwich I just had was kind of meh...the "scrambled" eggs are really formed precooked eggs and the bagels are mass produced grocery store quality at best.

I love this place. They have a wide variety of muffins to choose from which is great because I like coming here before getting my haircut. They are big but i don't care cause they are so good. Now when I say variety I also mean random flavors like New York cheesecake which was completely delectable. I love everything that they have to offer. I didn't like their coffee too much but the rest was so good I was easily able to overlook that. They are so good and I am so glad I can come to denver enough to get my muffin fix.

Though there are are a ton of different flavors of muffins, they are all VERY heavy... The "healthiest" muffin on the menu (Fat Free Blueberry) has 324 calories and the Cinnamon Swirl Cheesecake muffin packs a whopping 642 calories. That's almost as much as a stick of butter! When the website states that a serving size is 1/3 of a muffin, I worry... Provide some healthy options and maybe I'll return.

Big warm welcome when we walked in! Really good breakfast bagel and AMAZING CUPCAKES/MUFFINS! The coffee's were a little too sweet for my taste, so next time i will probably just get a black coffee. I will definitely be back!

Quite Possibly The Worst Egg Sandwich Of My Life. In all fairness this review has nothing to do with their muffins and everything to do with their breakfast sandwiches and their service or lack thereof. So me and the homies strolled through here on a wonderful Saturday morning after deciding not to wait an hour and a half for breakfast at Snooze an AM Eatery (5STAR ALL DAY.) We decided on a whim to go rafting later in the afternoon so we had to keep breakfast to a simple and quick meal. My Favorite Muffin is located at the end of the 16th St Mall by Union Station and coincidentally we had rented a loft for the weekend a block away so it seemed logical. KCUF LOGICAL. AND KCUF YOUR BREAKFAST SANDWICHES My Favorite Muffin. I understand that your forte and namesake is Muffins and my advice would be to stick to what works. Your breakfast sandwiches are HORRIBLE. How horrible? Upon receiving my under microwaved egg sandwich on sub-par bagel I immediately did three things: 1) I looked at this pitiful sandwich with the disgust and wonder you would look at a corner crackhead with talons for toenails -cut that shit out 2) looked at my friends who also received their sandwiches to confirm this fuckery 3) "WHAT THE KCUF IS THIS?" My friend who ordered the veggie egg white fuckery was soon told "i'm sorry we ran out of egg whites we have to defrost some more" The kcuf... I don't even want to start on em for this one. My friend was not pleased and had some choice words for their lack of preparation. I got my egg sandwich and seriously it was beyond pathetic. Like meeting a date for the first time and being catfished by filters. It wasn't even microwaved right. It was barely lukewarm. I took one bite and was like... WHAT THE KCUF IS THIS. Damn it, desperate times calls for desperate measures... I was going to douse this f.dog in ketchup and call it a morning. Heinz never fails me. Now mind you I didn't approach the girls working there with the same loathing I had for the sandwich. I asked nicely to the apparent girl in training "can I have some ketchup please?" The girl looked at me with dull lifeless eyes and said, "I'm sorry we don't have any ketchup." and walked off. What kind of evil... How??? I stood there for a bit thinking she was just joking and went to the back to go grab some. Tumbleweeds rolled on by. How do you guys not have ketchup? And at least acknowledge the level of fuckery before running off. I hope for the sake of this muffin establishment that she was just lying to me. You guys serve like 8 sandwiches both breakfast and lunch where an essential condiment, THE ESSENTIAL CONDIMENT, like ketchup, should be right next to your napkins. You know what would happen to Batman without his utility belt? He wouldn't be able to do Batman shit. There's kcufin ketchup equivalent in his kcufin utility belt. You know what would happen if you tried hiking the Colorado Rockies barefoot? You wouldn't because you NEED hiking boots. Ketchup might not be for everyone but for some it just might be everything. And with that being said y'all need to get that shet in check and stock the kcuf up. It might have been the saving grace and averted this 1 star review. I just sat back down and finished an egg sandwich that ranks quite possibly as The Worst Egg Sandwich Of My Life. Oh, and for $5 and change... so not right. I know I'm spoiled having grown up in NYC with a bevy of local delis and other great places (like a frickin bodega) to obtain a simple breakfast sandwich. And the reason I'm being so critical with you guys is because it's really hard to kcuf up an egg sandwich. Kcuf, sometimes a Bacon Egg n Cheese from frickin Dunkin Donuts will suffice (they also will slap the BEC between any donut of your choice. gotta keep it positive where i can) Well, it takes a special kind of establishment to kcuf up preset microwave settings. But seriously either re-work your breakfast sandwich game or take it off the menu. I really hope for your sake that your muffins are something else. We walked in, the four of us, hungry and in need of sustenance after a night of drinking. We were content with your cookie cutter shet. What we got had all four of us wishing we never knew such breakfast sandwich fuckery existed on this Earth. Sad, because nearly everything else we ate in Denver was 5star worthy. Y'all need catch up -see what i did there

On my way over to Highland area of Denver from LoDo, I was a bit chilled to the bones and wasn't feeling entirely well. It was probably altitude sickness and the wise words of Kristin B. came to me as I was approaching My Favorite Muffin. "You have to drink a lot of water in Denver. Maybe twice what you normally do." I had been avoiding drinking too much because I was exploring on foot and didn't want to have the constant urge to pee. Exploring and peeing too much do not truly go hand-in-hand. Anyway, with my head swimming uncomfortable, I figured that a muffin place would also have available to purchase drinks of some sort. I was actually hoping for some tea and was not disappointed. While I cannot remember the brand of the tea, I ended up with a mint green tea, which had a great flavor. The lady who rang me up was very friendly. She noticed my camera and asked if I was visiting, which I obviously was and informed her so. She gave me suggestions of places to visit, which I thought was kind of her. I paid and left with my hot paper cup in hand. Good tea at a decent price. No complaints.

Delicious cinnamon streusel muffin. Cute location in LoDo, plenty of places to sit and lots of outlets for those of us looking to recharge while enjoying an indulgent breakfast. Regular sized muffin was huge but love that they also had many of the popular ones in mini form. Most people were getting bagel sandwiches so maybe next time!

Got a banana nut muffin and strawberry cheesecake muffin. Both were very good and was less than $5!

I work in the same block as this place. The muffins, bagels, whatever are overpriced and do not taste good. Everything seems processed. I don't understand why these kinds of businesses exist when there are perfectly good local businesses making real food!

I like the muffins. The chocolate cheesecake muffin was good. So was the Boston cream pie muffin. The Oreo was the best in my opinion. After reading another review about how they served expired product, got people sick and didn't refund them or do anything to make it right. I don't know if I want to risk coming back.

I purchased a very large order of muffins and bagels for my coworkers on Friday. august 22, 2015 as I usually do every Friday. After one of my coworkers started feeling ill, we realized that one of the cream cheese's that they gave us was almost 3 months expired. I immediately left work to walk back out of courtesy to tell the owner, Gina Goswick. She did not seem to care whatsoever that my coworker immediately got sick from the expired cream cheese and said that there was nothing she could do. I will no long never give my business to My Favorite Muffin again. I will be spending my company's money at a different location going further. Gina (the owner) was not only rude, but didn't seem to care that my coworker will now be missing work because of their expired food and lack of care.

My friend and I were looking for a place that offered a very light lunch option. We decided on My Favorite Muffin - light maybe not, smaller though. A short walk later and we arrived. I was baffled to find they actually offer sandwiches, bagel sandwiches - next visit for sure. I got the lemon pound cake muffin and my friend got the double chocolate muffin. I enjoyed my lemon and I hear the chocolate pronounced just wonderful. I'm leaving room for improvement with the star factor here since one muffin does not make 4 or 5 stars. I plan on coming back and trying more offerings for an update.

I ordered a Caramel Iceaccino. It was caramely and delicious and not badly priced. I also had a Mandarin Orange Cranberry muffin. Had nice chunks of Cranberry and the orange wasnt overpowering. It was soft but the muffin top was still crunchy. And im unsure if she sold it to me as a combo deal. But for 4.00 for the Muffen and Caramel Iceaccino that was very reasonable. And they have Fast Free Wifi.

Came into work starving this morning and I was craving a bagel. There really aren't any quick breakfast places in LoDo that are cost effective and convenient EXCEPT MFM. I walked in and there were coupons everywhere for Tax Day- that's pretty cool but I had my heart set on a bagel. I ordered and it came right now. No fuss, nothing confusing. I HIGHLY recommend the honey cinnamon cream cheese and the coffee is exactly what Monday called for. Great management, great staff, great food.

This place was quite the hazard when I both lived and worked downtown. Every morning on my walk to work, I'd pass this place...and it would take serious will power not to enter. The muffins are so darn good. I love the mini-muffin deals, but the regular sized cinnamon crumb muffin is my go-to. I think this place is making a killing off our office at the end of 16th street--muffins from here are always the breakfast option if training is going on, and people constantly get lunch here with its close location. I have tried the breakfast sandwich as well--its nothing special at all (which is why I knocked a star off).

  • Juanita A.

I usually get the banana nut muffins but lately the amount of nuts has diminished to just a few on top and none--not one--throughout the muffin. They don't let their bananas ripen quite long enough so the nut flavor is important. The one I'm eating right now is just okay. I'm rating this as two stars, which is "I've had better." Their banana nut muffins used to be much better.

Finally a quick breakfast place close to Union Station end of 16th St. Cute location, friendly owners. Free wifi! I got the multi berry muffin, it was ok, i would have expected more fruit, but it was ok, enough to make me want to try the other flavors, but the breakfast sandwiches are divine! Hubby got the southern one - very yummy! The have at least 6 different types of flavored coffees - love that!! I like have quick and in-expensive options for breakfast downtown!

Very well named. Might indeed by my favorite muffin. We stopped in one weekend to check it out (ok fine, we had a coupon) and loved it. The owners are great folks, very friendly. The selection is incredible, muffins, bagels, bagel sandwiches, lots of coffee choices. I'd avoid the turtle mocha... maybe it was just me, but it tasted like chemicals. I think it was the caramel, but not sure. The bagel sandwiches are very good, and quite filling. The muffins, well with things like oreo muffins, cookies n creme, double chocolate chip, and more. It was hard to pick just one.

  • Courtney R.

Really great service but not a great product. The mini-muffins were tasteless and sub par. The coffee was just ok and the bagels were average...and they forgot my plates. Overall it's a fine cup of coffee and the people are really nice.

I stopped in here on a whim on a Sunday morning. They have a very large variety of muffns, sandwiches, and bagels. I got an everything bagel with sausage, egg, and cheese. It was quite good. They have like six different types of brewed coffee, and an espresso maker for lattes, etc. The prices were reasonable: $3.75 for the bagel sandwich and $1.75 for a large coffe. I certainly plan to go back to give some of the muffins a try, as they all looked big, fresh, and tasty.

    (3)
  • Abby P.

The muffins consistently are fantastic!! The owners at the LoDo location near Union Station are great. The prices are a bit steep, but you may find it's worth it. Warning: there are not many healthy options to choose from. The low fat/no fat muffins taste weird--spongey or something. Don't save extra calories--it's not worth it. So, if you're calorie conscious, try some mini muffins. YUM. Also, just do breakfast stuff there....the sandwiches are not very "hearty", and the pasta salad tastes like it's from a plastic container.
