The quality of the ingredients stand out as the most impressive part of this fast hibachi restaurant. The menu is extensive but easy to navigate. Tasty and made to order. With the loss of Ramen in our neighborhood, a hole was left that I thought couldn't be filled. While express habachi is obviously a different menu than Ramen - we are making Miyabi a regular part of our healthy / fast food rotation!

I met my husband here for lunch and I was surprised! The food is delicious. I had the chicken and shrimp plate- the rice is delicious, I am not sure how they prepare it, but it was so good. The shrimp and chicken were equally delicious. The staff was really nice and the service was quick. I would highly recommend this place! The portions are quite large, but good to have some food to bring home. The restaurant was clean, and staff was friendly- can't beat it!

Well I'm really going to miss this place is great service great also!!!! And the manager Junya, I can't say enough good about him and what he's doing with the restaurant. So if you're ever in Denver make sure that you go to Miyabi Jr. for some great Japanese cuisine.

Fast casual hibachi franchise that started in Charleston, SC. This is their first location in CO. Price is very fair ranging from $6-$14 you can get a Filet Mignon entree that taste just as good as Benihana.

Not really any places like this in town. Health delicious fair prices and quick! A must try for lunch!

I've tried every single dish and everything was delicious. Teriyaki and white sauces go great with chicken. The meat is always fresh and delicious. I just keep coming back!

You can't get better than this place. We decided to try it on a whim for our last night here on vacation and I'm so happy we chose it. We had Benihana a few nights prior and we wished we would have just come here instead. We got more food and honestly tasted better. We ordered the combination steak and hibachi chicken combo and it was cooked to perfection with great flavor. They cook it to order just behind the register unlike other quick hibachi restaurants. And the sauces.... Yum! Their white sauce is one of the best I've ever had, and being a foodie, that's a high honor lol. Also, you can't go wrong with the Ginger sauce on steak and vegetables. If we were from here, we'd be regulars...

Friendly staff and very good food at a decent price. They are consistent and everything is very clean. I suggest getting the teriyaki chicken entree. If you are looking for a lighter calorie meal you can get Hibachi chicken and a side of vegis for about the same price as any of the bowls. If you are looking for a good quick japanese meal (Fried Rice only, no noodles) then this is a good place to check out.

The best Hibachi Express ever and the good think is so closed to our house. Will come back very often . The food is so fresh and the steak is excellent taste . The place is so clean.

Yummers! Perfect quick hibachi bowl! Had the filet mignon bowl and it was delicious. They use good quality meat and the place is clean and nice. I will be back for sure!!

Great place for a quality, causal meal. Its a quick service restaurant, where you order at the counter and then your food is brought to you at your table. They even go above and beyond to check on you throughout your meal, and if you are kind perhaps they will even take your empty dishes for you. The menu selections are great, beef, shrimp, steak, chicken options with hibachi or teriyaki. Plus they have a sauce bar where you can get more teriyaki, white sauce (mayo blend), or ginger sauce. We tried steak, chicken, and shrimp in a few different dishes. All were fantastic, but the steak was a clear winner. Cooked perfectly to medium - med well. It was great to see rice with some flavor that stood alone, rather than bland white rice you see at many places. The only negative was the two sushi rolls we ordered with tuna did not taste very fresh. The California roll, however, was very good. I again appreciated the quality and friendly service. I will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.

What!? Benihana without all the wait and $$$.... It was good I had the steak and shrimp combo, with mustard and ginger sauce.. So good and worth the price!

Went there on a whim for dinner last night with my wife and we were impressed! We loved their food and plan on going back. We both had the filet mignon and shrimp and greatly enjoyed our delicious meals.

Great sauces, delicious flavor cooked into the hibachi combo, and sushi was yummy. Hubby and I were very pleased.

I was inspired to write my first-ever Yelp review after having visited this wonderful restaurant 3 times in the past week. Eating here reminds me strongly of eating at Benihana, but at a fraction of the price, and with the wait time of Noodles and Company. The menu is simple and healthy, and is all made right in front of your eyes on two big hibachi griddles behind the cash register. The meat is always cooked to order, as are the vegetables. There are 4-6 dipping sauces available for the meats you order, which include beef, chicken, shrimp, and fish. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, and everything is fastidiously clean. Benihana is the best comparison in terms of taste and quality. In terms of format and style, Tokyo Joe's is the most similar I can think of, but the food that you get here is several notches above Tokyo Joe's. Try it, and you'll see what I mean!

So yummy and fast! I usually order online and it's always ready ASAP. Quick hibachi without the "show" and going home with smelly clothes. We've ordered both the beef and chicken dumplings and the teriyaki chicken and it's all really good! They give you a lot of food as well.

    (5)
  • M D.

Like a more simple version of Benihana any other pricy hibachi grill restaurants. If you want hibachi style food within a quick amount of time, this is the place. No, there isn't a hibachi chef to do tricks in front of you, but that's why you go to Benihana's right?!? Clean place. Friendly staff. Great food for the price. Short and simple, you gotta try it out! :)

Very close to our house so we eat here every 2 weeks or so, at least 10 times so far. Menu gets less confusing after about 5 visits. Here are some suggestions: side of hibachi vegetables is a good deal at $3. We usually get one of the small bowls, which includes a meat item and rice, but no veggies. The hot teriyaki sauce is delicious and our favorite over the other choices. Delivery is offered. Miyabi Jr. seems healthy and is located adjacent to Whole Foods. We prefer it over the burger chains.

What can I say? I've been coming here since last October and every single meal has been tasty, hot and satisfying. I have brought multiple people and they all enjoy it too. Make sure you order the mushrooms, especially with the steak - first rate! I love all the sauces, made fresh daily - the mayo never disappoints and the ginger melds well with the shrimp. The great attitude from all the employees makes it a pleasure to not only dine here solo - but bringing friends makes it that much better. Approaching the one year anniversary here in Denver, the buy ten get one free promotion will be wrapping up for New punches at the end of September - still can be redeemed after that time. This restaurant is only 5 minutes east of I25 and Hampden - next time you're passing by, run in and try it out - You won't be let down!

So unbelievably good!!! Great price for the amount of food you get -- especially the steak and shrimp OR an indulgent steak only option. I've eaten here at least 10 times since I found out about it a few months back. I'm finally posting now about it because I feel guilty at I haven't shared this experience earlier.

My partner and I love their Hibachi chicken bowls, shrimp bowls, and fried cheesecake (cheesecake in pastry dough that is enough for two). I call in advance and they have it ready for me to pick up in 7 minutes. Be sure to ask for one of their frequent diner cards. You may also want to ask about the unique mayonnaise/sauces they pack with every to-go order. We never use them so always ask that they "not include the sauce containers" in our order, which they are always happy to do.

It was pure serendipity that brought me to Miyabi Jr Express for lunch today! The restaurant is sparkling clean and welcoming. I was greeted by a smiling employee who helped explain the menu options and differences. He suggested the shrimp and steak combo. It included steamed rice, onions and zucchini. The steak and shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender, fresh and delicious. The 3 sauces were tasty and a nice compliment to the food. My favorites were the ginger and the garlic. Happily fate smiled upon me.

We've been eating here two or three times a week for a couple weeks now. We tried it on a whim, having originally had plans to go to Chipotle next door, and I'm glad we decided to come here. The dining area is very clean, and you're greeted when you come in the door. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. Great hibachi style cooking on par with Benihana and the like, but for under ten bucks? Doesn't get better than that. I regularly get the Hibachi Chicken Bowl, and my boyfriend always gets the Tuna Rolls (which are excellent). Service is fast, food is delicious, prices are right. Definitely a favorite for a quick bite.

Dare I say a BETTER version of Benihana and without the waste and tiny portions. The hibachi was great and so was the teriyaki. The young cashier was pleasant and food came out quickly. Will be back!

I love this place. I probably eat here two or three times a week. So much better than Tokyo Joes!

  • Minde S.

Helps if your hungry, but not a place I would likely come again. Got the teriyaki bowl which was a great deal-huge for the price, but way too salty. The rice was very sticky and the sauce probably has high fructose corn syrup as the first ingredient. The chicken is really questionable. I really hope it was actually chicken. Each piece is "layered" or pressed somehow into cubes. I've never seen chicken like this before. I'm giving them 2 stars only for atmosphere and price. Was hopeful seeing other reviews, but really disappointed after trying it out.

This place is great. Awesome fresh food without a long wait. The hibachi combo is the way to go, along with all the sauces. I go here once a week for lunch now. Also the staff is very friendly and on the ball.

Love Miyabi Jr. You get the quality of a fancy hibachi steak house for half the price. Great friendly staff. I've been in with my wife at least a dozen times (had two of their "frequent eater" cards filled for free meals) and brought some friends who are now regulars as well. I really love the "swai" fish which hasn't been mentioned in other reviews. It is a nice flaky white fish grilled to perfection. The only thing I would like to find is the nutritional (calorie) information in each of their meals. I am counting calories and where many restaurants post their nutritional information on a website, I can't find anything for my new favorite restaurant. Or maybe the food is so good, I really don't want to find out!

This is my all time favorite restaurant. I'm so happy they decided to bring one out here to the mid-west. Love the stake and shrimp. Since I found out about this place. I've been here twice in the same month. Always satisfy. Everything always cook well. And ofcourse can't forgot LOVE THE WHITE SAUCE....it's very big in the south. I'm glad Denver now gets to have taste of it.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here tonight for a quick dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, our chicken hibachi bowls were incredibly filling (I couldn't even finish mine to my boyfriend's delight!), and we were in and out without a delay! The restaurant is clean and you can see the chefs cooking real, fresh ingredients while you wait. We will definitely be back to try new things!

Hibachi style meats, veggies, rice.. without the show i.e Quick and Painless. :) Pricing is fair with bowls ranging from $8-$15. Some bowls come with complimentary sushi (crab roll). Crab roll was just ok, they also let us upgrade our second complimentary roll (TnT) for a slight upcharge, and it was also "just ok." Come here for the Hibachi, not the sushi. My husband ordered the Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp, and I ordered the Filet and Shrimp. Sooooooo good! And excellent portion size. The sauces are also very good, I had the "white sauce" (mayo base) and their ginger sauce. They also have some desserts on their menu I would like to try next time we go in, and reasonably priced also from $3-$5. Folks that worked there were very friendly and the atmosphere was clean, quiet, with nice decor. Food is crave worthy. We will go here often. Food, service, atmosphere, cleanliness, value - Easily 5 stars!

First time here... The food and the service was great!! Food was seasoned just right! The mayo sauce they have is definitely tasty on just about everything, even the salad! The best i can descibe it is, a fast food version of benihanas. I just wish they had brown rice as a choice!! Service was great, our table was checked on at least every 10 minutes.. very friendly and casual atmosphere... It is a must try! We will definitely be back!

I moved here from the soth about a year ago and was instantly depressed that people in colorado didn't know about myiabis or myiabis Jr. or even Joy of Tokyo! None of the sushi places or even benihanas carry white sauce (served at every Japanese /sushi restaurant in SC). For a year I've been telling people that whoever opened this style of restaurant in CO would be rich. Congratulations myiabis Jr you will undoubtedly be successful. I traveled here from longmont after a year of craving and missing this food and was not disappointed. I had to order 2 plates just to celebrate. The first was the teriyaki chicken and hibachi steak. Great! The other plate I had was the hibachi chicken which for some reason isn't the same or as good as the hibachi chicken back home but quality nonetheless. Hopefully more of these will be opening up towards longmont/boulder now that colorado has had a taste. If you go here make sure to try the white sauce!

Basically, it's Teppanyaki to go. Think Benihana or any other place with a Teppan table. However, they've added other items like sushi rolls, fried dumplings, egg rolls, etc. I got the steak bowl to go, which is steak (of course), rice and the 3 sauces you normally get. The portions are definitely large enough for a quick lunch. My only gripe is that it didn't come with any type of vegetable. The bowls range $8-$13 and you'll have to drop a couple extra bucks for a salad, if you want some greenery. The meal started turning into a grind after a while of powering through protein and starch with no veggies. =( Extra points go to them for including Japanese green tea on the menu!

Fast casual hibach. Cooked fresh but without the needless show of cooks hitting their utensils together in front of you. They have all the yum yum sauce you could want as it is in a squeeze bottle by the drink machines. Also, very reasonable prices, 12 dollars for steak and shrimp

What a pleasant surprise! It's a bit hidden away at the east-facing side of Tiffany Square strip mall on Hampden off I-25, but it's worth checking out. Miyabi Jr. is a chain started in the South as a fast-casual spinoff of a traditional Japanese steakhouse (Benihana style teppan-yaki grills, ironically just across the street from oe of the last remaining local Benihanas) but with a smart efficient spin: The teppan-yaki grill is in the kitchen behind the counter, and one chef manages the cooking for the room. The food is the same mix of steak, shrimp, chicken, seafood (and yakisoba that I'll have to try next visit) served with the same large plate that includes grilled onions and zucchini, and a generous mound of fried rice. The food is tasty and the service is terrific for the small staff. Owner Junya Nakajima is a hard-working young man with a vision. Customer service is a big priority, and the quality of food is top notch. I recommend this place highly -- Junya says many of the items on the menu can be cooked up gluten-free. Watch for other locations in the future. This location is worth the drive for us.

Puts ol' Benihanas across the street to shame if you just want the food not the pointless 1 time entertainment. same steak, same, mignon at fraction of the price. made on the exact same hibachi grill. I'm so glad they opened up. Ask for free mushrooms on your steak!

Back when I lived out east these type of restaurants were prevalent and for good reason. I tried numerous places looking for something similar in Denver and they never could hold up. Finally a South Carolina chain migrated out west. This place is fantastic! The staff is insanely friendly and eager to please. The chicken, steak, and shrimp hibachi entrees are all lovely and paired with white sauce you truly can't go wrong. They also deliver to our office on the north edge of the tech center. Delivery is free and relatively fast. We eat here a ton now! Strongly recommend it!

  • Laura C.

We tried to go here three different times. The first time, they had no sushi available. The second time, they advertised delivery but would not deliver when we called. Finally, I went to pick it up the third time, and we were not impressed with the food. I had chicken in my bowl, and it seemed like lots of fat and low quality meat. Sushi was not any better than what you would get at the grocery store. I'll stick with Tokyo Joe's.

Awesome quick casual. I love the hibachi chicken with veggies only! The fish is great too. Friendly service

It took me three trips to finally master this place. The first time I ordered the steak bowl hold the mushrooms and was surprised to find it contained only rice and steak. Both were good but it was very plain. The second time I discovered the sauces which are great. They help make the place special. I have now ordered the steak bowl with an add of vegetables and I put on both white sauce and ginger sauce. Yum! I can hardly wait to come back.

Sumbled upon Miyabi's tonight in the middle of a rush and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, apologized numerous times for the wait, even stopped by to pick up our plates & make sure everything was great. Between my husband and I, we ordered a tofu dinner, chicken & steak dinner, and a few different rolls. All were fresh and simple. We will definitely return.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner here tonight after seeing a movie at the Elvis Tiffany theatre. This place is in the same shopping center. The food was very good, as was the service. We both ordered the filet mignon&shrimp hibachi combo. She had shrimp tempura sushi rolls, and I had a couple of spring rolls. I had diet coke. The total, before tax and tip, was $38. The place is clean and bright. The person taking the orders was friendly, and the whole staff appeared professional. The hibachi grill is right behind the counter, and the veggies and shrimp cooking there looked delicious when we were ordering. The spring rolls, and then the tempura shrimp rolls, came out promptly and were quite good. Very soon after that, our main course arrived. The beef was tender and delicious, and the mushrooms with it were a great accompaniment. It came with a big mound of rice, and with delicious veggies --zucchini and onions. The waiter checked in on us to be sure all was good. With the good service, great food, and nice looking restaurant, this place is excellent.

Awesome! I tried the steak hibachi, pot stickers, and the onion soup. It was all sooo good! All the sauces were fantastic. I also tried the fried cheese cake and it was ridiculously yummy. LOVE this place!

Saw this had just opened, gave it a try. I'm very glad I did! The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was very tasty. I ended up with the steak and shrimp combo, while my friend had the fish dinner. The steak was quite tasty, but the shrimp and fish were the real stars of the show. Great seasoning and very well cooked, complimented wonderfully by the better-than-average rice and veggies. I'll definitely be going back!

I've been here twice and had attentive service and good food each time. As other folks have mentioned the portions are of good size (I like to eat and split a chicken bowl with my wife). The owners were attentive and soliciting feedback which I thought was nice. The atmosphere was clean and fresh and the patio seating made for a nice experience as well. There is a wide variety of things on the menu and I look forward to trying more!

Awesome food. Just like a sit down Japanese steakhouse. Steak n chicken combo so good even to go. Worth a try and another.

  • Dawn M.

Fast, friendly service, and excellent food. We had the hibachi steak and the teriyaki chicken. The steak was flavorful and very tender, and the teriyaki did not overpower the chicken. We will definitely be back!

Really excellent teriyaki bowls. Pretty fast service. Only negative is the $30 minimum for delivery, but they were nice enough to wave that for my first delivery order since the minimum isn't advertised.

  • Tom N.

Quick and tasty hibachi dishes are this place's forte. From the time it takes to order and get to you is about 5 minutes on average. The food is best hot off the grill and eaten right there, but it's still pretty good heated up if you have to take it to go. I usually go for the steak and shrimp or the steak and teriyaki chicken combo. They have these three dipping sauces, a ginger based sauce, a mustard one, and this odd mayo based one. The first two remind me of the ones you can get at a restaurant style hibachi grill, the last one really isn't my favorite... It kind of reminds me of the "special sauce" you can get on some fast food burgers; that odd combination of mayo and maybe ketchup or something... The sushi is kinda subpar, so I'd probably avoid that. I've had the fried cheesecake which was a bad idea. It likes a block of cream cheese that was deepfried. The Calpico drinks on display by the register, I absolutely love and highly recommend. I believe there's a discount for L.E., Fire, and EMS workers which is pretty awesome. I could eat here a few times a week to fix that craving for hibachi style Japanese food. The decor isn't anything fancy. It doesn't really have any personality, which is both good and bad I guess. The general staff is pretty friendly, if a little timid. I'd bet this is their first time working in the hospitality industry. The managers and chef are great though. I definitely recommend this place if you need a quick fix for hibachi food, but don't want to sit around and wait for a table to fill up.

I enjoyed my dinner from Miyabi Jr. I had the shrimp bowl: it was tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

  • Brandon D.

Just what this neighborhood needed in an already saturated market full of fast Mediterranean and Mexican food (not that I don't like the cuisine, it's just nice to have some variety). Don't confuse this place with the Americanized Tokyo Joes, granted Miyabi is not a pure and accurate representation of Japanese cuisine, it does stay true to the subtle and light flavors. The restaruant itself is nicely decorated with the exception of the flower pot in the door way and the sauce bar. The staff are friendly, the meat quality is what you'd expect from a "hibachi" grill and my overall experience has been positive. The sauces are good especially the mayo one. Go here, you won't regret it. Light on the sodium, healthy variety of veggies, relatively fast, I'm coming back.

Went back here for the hibachi steak and shrimp and it was delicious. Great addition to the neighborhood.

  • Marcus T.

It's ok for the price and a welcome addition to the neighborhood but the food isn't the best. My hibachi chicken was really dry and didn't taste fresh. It could have just been the day.
