I went here last week to grab a cheap beer with a friend. We ended up staying for 2 and ordering onion rings. Atmosphere: Classic sports bar-- seems a bit more classy than a dive bar, but nothing too special. Dim lights inside and an outdoor area with tables to dine and drink. Drinks: I went there last Wednesday, so we got $3 Colorado Natives. I like beer more when it's on special. Food: We split the onion rings. We only got about 6 onion rings in the order-- I would have hoped there would have been more in an appetizer portion! They were really greasy and salty. Service: Pretty quick since we sat at the bar.

First off the service was excellent! We had a couple drinks and apps. I had the ruby sipper and it was the best "mule" cocktail I have had. Beer selection is a solid B. The size of the nachos and chili cheese fries were way worth the money, huge portions. Nachos could have used a little more cheese. Ambiance was casual and chill. I guess they have a tiny two bowling lanes but luckily it was out of order when we went. Although if I were younger without kiddos I would be game!

This is a University of Arizona bar, so be prepared that if you're here during a game, it's going to be packed and loud. As an Arizona alum though, it was exactly what I was looking for. They run some great specials during games on both food and drink. And the service was always so polite, even though it was obvious that they were spread thin. I had the nachos, and they were better than your average bar nachos.

Good place to watch a game in Cherry Creek. 'Bout all I can say...

When you're looking for better than average bar food with classic favorites and some unique twists, this is the place. My girl LOVES their Santa Fe salad and I'm big on the burgers and sandwiches. The nachos and spinach/artichoke dip are always on point. If you're having a hard time deciding on a place, MST is always a good go-to...plus, they have a mini bowling lane!

This place has the best Moscow mule in Denver. Yep that's right better then Blake at vault. I would highly recommend this place for drinks

On Black Friday, one would assume a tavern wouldn't be busy. But on this particular Black Friday, this tavern was filled with excitement, which seems to be a testament to how beloved it is by its regulars. Only one waitress for a bar at its capacity is another issue. An issue that was handled wonderfully considering being overrun by a lot of locals that were ready to drink and enjoy their day off. The jalapeno artichoke dip is something I definitely recommend, along with the buffalo chicken wings. For four hungry hippos already a few drinks in, we still couldn't manage polishing off two orders of the wings and the dip. Let's just say their portions are generous. The wings were perfectly sauced and served with the adequate amount of sauce and the standard carrots and celery. The dip was unreal - not spicy, but hearty and dangerously addictive. There is also a miniature bowling lane in the back that's perfect those fun date nights or good 'ol fashioned family time. But what's best about this tavern is the ubiquity of flat screens. There's no way you couldn't catch a game here. You're surrounded by sports, beer, good food, and fun!

The reason I put just 3 stars is because I love this place but I had a terrible experience last night. My husband and I went there for a quiet few drinks together we each got one drink there were two bartenders I sat there with an empty glass for 20 minutes while they serve their friends and co workers people sitting right by us there getting shots and drink refills and I got no acknowledgment so I got attend tion when I grabbed my purse. They ask me.if I was doing okay.... It was almost 30 minutes no second drink not attention by either bartender.... I felt ignored so I closed my tab at $9.50 just one drink each cause I was starting to get annoyed. I did not tip I could've walked out if I was a bitch but I paid and decided whatever one bad night but I managed many restaraunts and never did I play favorites with customers and coworkers sitting at the bar.... Still love this place just didn't appreciate being ignored the way we were. We spend a lot there when we go and I closed out barely breaking $10.

If you like the thought of being treated like sh*t, then you've come to the biggest disgrace of Cherry Creek. Went on a date to this god-forsaken place, took 20 minutes to get someone to notice us, then a guy shows up and was nice until our actual server shows her presence. She had the worst attitude that I've ever seen. We nicely requested drink menus, and she storms off. If anything, I should be the one upset because it took this long to get noticed. I look at my date and tell her we need to get out of here because I don't want to be served by some raged, pissed-off woman that doesn't give a crap, yet for some strange reason she still has a job. What a pathetic hole in the wall. And another thing, why in the hell is this less than average dive bar doing in Cherry Creek? Cherry Creek would be way better off without it...

Try the artichoke dip it's awesome!! Mini bowling is so fun, expensive, but fun! Staff is always friendly, though sometimes a little slow. Great local bar to meet friends after work if you work in the area! Doesn't have parking but street parking is usually available during the week! Weekends get busy and they sometimes have a DJ! Overall pretty great bar!

  • Jessica B.

Love the atmosphere. But if I'm paying $3 per person to play mini bowling and the balls get stuck every single time, and I have to fish them out myself and/or get a staff member to get it, that seems redundant and dumb. Nachos were good except I said no pico and it was covered in pico. Beside that had a great time with my friends. Cool place

It's your best bet for a local watering hole without all the pretensions. I was in there just to hang out in after noon and watch a baseball game. The server (blond) behind the bar was very sweet and accommodating. Another night, "taco Tuesday" and watched hockey & baseball. You could tell the place by the characters it attracts and most of the hipsters didn't disappoint. Had fun, albeit the waitress for our table was a tad bit too cool and could of stood to lighten up a bit. We moved to the bar again, and found the tender there to be a repeat of the previous day. As for the food, the taco's were good and I look forward to returning on my next trip.

We got nachos, MST blend wings and funnel cake fries. They were all pretty good. The wings were okay but the sauce was good.

Service is less than stellar, drinks are so so and I wouldn't put money in the jukebox. Last time we did, they opened the machine up and advanced the song. Not okay when we not only put money into that machine but waited to hear that song.

Got here during happy hour which was nice. Lots of TVs to watch the game, really good food, super friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Mini bowling available which was a surprise as well. Nice little hidden gem.

Holy great bar food Batman! Very unexpectedly cool menu with delicious food. the girly martinis were delicious and so was dinner! The server was funny and attentive, without being pushy about getting more drinks. Bonus: My hubby left his baseball cap and they kept in their safe for weeks until he returned to get it!

Milwaukee Street is a good, laid-back sports-bar option in otherwise lah-dee-dah Cherry Creek. It's also the University of Arizona alumni bar in Denver. I don't get there often as I don't live close, but am generally quite satisfied with the food and service there. I would put the menu's selection and quality a notch-or-two above most sports bars. Parking can be a pain as is the norm in Cherry Creek, but there is some free parking underneath the place which is great if you can grab a space.

This is a review of Milwaukee Street Tavern's macaroni and cheese dish. The mac n' cheese here is just like a North Korean rocket launch...it gets lots of press but falls flat. Let me be clear that I really like this bar and they have great service, beers and tvs but the food is pretty awful. Description: Momma's Mac n' Cheese - Ziti with a three cheese sauce, $8.49 (chicken, bacon or ham $2 extra). It also says it is a house favorite...I guess the house is drunk. Presentation: Wide white bowl with a good portion of m&c with slightly baked parmesan cheese on top. There is also extra parm cheese sloppily sprinkled on the rim which is a poor attempt for them to "fancy up" the presentation. Consistency: Soupy cheese mixture sits at the bottom of the plate and the ziti is a poor choice for the pasta as it is very heavy as does not hold this cheese sauce too well. Taste: Decent if you are drunk, but sober it just does nothing for me. It is an altogether uninspiring dish that tastes like the product of a high school top chef competition.

This has to be my favorite place in cherry creek to have a nice relaxed evening. Great atmosphere without the typical pretentious attitude that seems to dominate the rest of the neighborhood. This is a step up from the old standby for bar fare and booze (ie the cricket), but without a step up in price. And the numerous flat screen HD tvs offer plenty of sports-viewing options... There are always drink specials and the service is friendly and timely. A helpful tip... Try the steak tid-bits, and make sure you have your ID. It's no fun to have a friend turned away for not remembering their license!

We were in the mood for some sports watchin' and some drinks so we headed to Milwaukee St. Tavern. I remembered that they serve $2 Coors during Rockies games, so that's always a plus. Also, like others have mentioned, they're willing to turn on whichever game you want to see! (Tigers, in our case). I didn't have the food but enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere a ton. Plus, I'm intrigued by the mini bowling lanes they have going on. Might be like 1/3 the size of regular bowling? Is this like a totally different sport with a different name? I'll have to try this out sometime. Good times.

I like Milwaukee St Tavern and if you go there eat the Pork Sliders and drink some beer and you will be happy. I meet with some other friends there on occasion to watch sports and talk and it's a pretty good time. The people take care of you and will usually switch the t.v. to "your" teams game. It's a nice alternative to Chopper's if you in the Cherry Creek area. That is all, Enjoy your day! Mark

If you're an Arizona Wildcat, you'll love this place. The official Arizona alumni sports bar for Denver, games here are a blast. With good drinks and great food this place never fails to please. There's also a miniature bowling alley with two lanes in the back. Big flat screens all over for all your viewing needs.

Milwaukee Street Tavern has been an irregular stop for me over the years. My cousin and I came here long ago often during the holidays following a trip to the bookstore to eat and watch football, and I'd still wander in for drinks or food since. Unfortunately it has declined steadily over the years. It's just tired. There seems to be no effort put into the food, the service, or the bar. We stopped in after dinner the other night just trying to find a place for a drink, and left after downing them quickly. I just don't feel as if anyone cares here anymore. Perhaps they have finally given up. In any case, I think my last excursion here was indeed my last.

Came here during the cherry creek art festival. It was a good spot to get out of the heat and have a few beers for half the price of the street vendors. They were doing lucky u (IPA) for $3 which was a sweet deal. The service was decent, the atmosphere was to be expected for a local bar that's downstairs. But it was actually pretty nice being able to go somewhere for a drink in Cherry Creek and have it not be too froo froo. Sometimes a cold beer and a greasy app is what you need, and MST delivers. Nothing to write home about, but a solid choice if that's what you are looking for!

Always great atmosphere, friendly if you are hanging with friends and want to spend time and enjoy a few drinks and some appetizers or stay for dinner. Also, you can actually stop in and enjoy a meal with your family and they are still welcoming - not easy to find that combo just anywhere. An added bonus is the AMF mini bowling in the back for added entertainment. They always have the sports on we want to watch, large drink selection and good solid food menu - never disappointing!

This is one of those places that surprises you with food that is better than you expect it to be....I mean it's a bar with very non-descript atmosphere, your most basic and expected bar menu but everything I've ordered here has been good---and I end up eating here a lot due to the proximity of my office (and the daily pint specials). One thing that always cracks me up is the fact that they play the worst music ever. Imagine some of the worst songs from the '80's and '90's and you'll be sure to hear them at Milwaukee Street!

Great sports bar with a ton of TV's. I've had the Tuna Melt and the Jambalaya when I have been in for lunch and both were mmm good. I've also been here just for drinks and their happy hour is one of the best in the city serving up stiff beverages at great prices! I've been here for both small, happy hour get-togethers and large birthday parties and the service is prompt and friendly no matter the group size. I will definitely be in for a game when my Broncos play again this year!

Went here for a few after dinner cocktails on a Saturday night. Service was great, atmosphere was laid back and enjoyable. The Mini bowling looked like fun, but was busy so we didn't get to try it out. Prices were decent. Seems like a nice place to chill. Careful going down the stairs... little tricky after a few. We only stayed for one drink, and didn't try the food. I didn't see a pool table. :-( Will probably go back sometime.

I have to give Milwaukee St Tavern five stars. It is a cool little tavern just outside Cherry Creek mall. It has a very open feel as one side is all glass, with nice views of the street. During the day it would be a great place for people watching. Otherwise, within the tavern there is a TV in almost every direction. It makes it great for those on a casual outing because if the conversation gets boring you can still pretend to be listening, but really be watching the game over her/his shoulder. The draft selection is slim. However, they did have a beer we liked so that earned it a star. Our server was very active covering what seemed like most of the floor. I can appreciate his efforts to cover so many tables. Understanding his haste, we had no issues with him asking for orders in fly by fashion. Anytime he did stop for a second he was very nice, earning MST another star. The crowd was lively, but respectful of one another. That is usually rare to find in a tavern. People typically don't give a rip about the others in the restaurant, but here everyone was quite pleasant to be around. Perhaps we had a lucky Friday night. Nevertheless, that earned another star. To round off the fourth and fifth star was the food. My wife had a veggie burger that she claims is the best she's had, and I had a vegetable sandwich that was very good. The vegetable sandwich tasted like vegetables off a bbq grill. They were crunchy with that bbq flavor. Whoa!!! It was paired with a jalepeno cream cheese that added the correct amount of fat needed to make a healthy sandwich as unhealthy as a burger. It is totally worth it though. Because my wife liked the veggie patty so much, our server offered to have the cook come out and give her the recipe. Completely unexpected and very cool of them to be willing to do that. We can't wait to give it a try ourselves, but know that his will always taste better. You know when something is really good when you hold the flavor near and dear that it is hard to replicate on your own.

Great drinks, great food. I've frequented Milwaukee Street for almost 5 years. One of the most friendly, down-to-earth bars/restaurants in Cherry Creek. Better burgers than the "burger bar" across the street, and phenomenal happy hour five days a week. Daily specials include Colorado beers and spirits. One of the best places to chill out in "Crazy" Creek

Came here after HH at Phat Thai with a fellow Yelper to continue with a great conversation. I can't talk to the food, since I was full from all the food from our previous venue but I did partake in some libations. Beer was served cold, service was friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable for drinks. This is a great local bar with a very cool vibe nestled in the center of Cherry Creek. Can't wait to try the food.

Big sports place and if they support your team then you won't be alone. They have a special menu for Arizona games with big discounts. I enjoyed a big Cobb salad with grilled chicken for only $5. Friendly staff on both visits, but always had to ask for my silverware when being served. A little strange that it happened 2 times in a row.

    (3)
  • Megan S.

No nonsense, no frills bar. They have stupendous fried food (Sugar Pheens will love the churro fries) and the queso is so cheesy it will break your chip if you don't dip with caution. A large flat screen tv fills one wall, making it an ideal spot for catching a game. A friend of mine gracefully catapulted herself into it one evening and it remained glued in place. Maybe not a selling point for you, but I tend to appreciate places that accomodate the klutzy people (including me) in my crew. Oh and a miniature bowling alley? Genius. My only big complaint is the lack of IPA selection on their menu. I ended up with a beer I had never heard of and still can't remember the name of now (which means it was no good). I wish they offered more of our local brewskis.

This place is the best for games! They never rush you and they have so many TVs they will change them to whatever game you are looking for. Plus... THEY ARE A ARIZONA WILDCAT BAR so they have the PAC 12 network!! Awesome bar... awesome service... decent food!

Good place to go if you want to watch a game. Reasonably priced menu considering the Cherry Creek location. I ordered the nachos as my meal and they were awesome. The tortilla chips seemed homemade, the guacamole was fresh and chunky. It washable great. Only negative was the service was a little slow/unfriendly.

I have yet to be disappointed at milwaukee street. food is always great, service is reasonably attentive (but not SO attentive that you can't enjoy your food) and the atmosphere is fun!

  • Madelyne S.

I really like this sports bar. Its food is reasonably priced and fairly good, they have a solid beer list to choose from (and industry specials!), and, you can't deny, the tv set up is ideal for watching any game. The wait staff are traditionally on top of things. On the down side the parking situation is not grand--even with the parking lot out back.

  • Toni D.

I've been here several times for different occasions. They have mini bowling with 2 lanes which is fun! great place for parties. If your not sure what mini bowling is...it's basically a very small hand held bowling ball....with mini pins. This place always seems to have space available. Which is why I ended up visiting this place the 1st time. There's a competitor bar/hamburger place down the street that has an hour wait at times. No waiting at this place...don't worry it's not because this isn't a nice place to hang out. It is! the drinks have always been good...and even the food.

2012 Review #90: I met some people for a work happy hour here. Although this is a one-off establishment, to me it's just like any other chain sports bar. I like that they have a beer of the day, which when I came was Easy Street Wheat for $3. That's a pretty good price for a craft beer, but it's not exactly cheap. We also came during happy hour, which means a dollar off all drafts, but there's no prices on their drink menu (a pet peeve of mine) so you're taking a gamble. I only ate the nachos here, which were pretty good. We got them off the happy hour menu, and I think they were around $5, but I think we got upcharged for adding meat, though it was implied it would be free. Anyway, I like that they put green chile on the nachos, and they automatically come with sour cream and guacamole. That said, our guacamole was brown so they either took it off the top of some that had been sitting out, or our portion had been sitting out. We did eat them all, so they fit the "I need to eat something" bill. Our service, though, lacked. The server had our table and the other part of our group, so we were near 20 people. She seemed to be very overwhelmed by this number. She came over pretty quickly when I met my friends, and we ordered drinks. My husband and I ordered our Easy Street's with oranges, which she repeated back to us, and I ordered water. Someone else brought only half the drinks for our table, and gave us 2 beers with lemons, and no water. We didn't see the server again for about 15 minutes. I finally flagged her down and the first thing she said was, "what? Did I forget your water or something?" I re-ordered my water and the food. The food came out within 5 minutes, but still no water. I decided to go up to the bar to get my water, and when I got there, our waitress was taking shots with other staff at the bar. It was 6:00 pm. She watched me order my water (For the third time) from the bartender, who got it for me quickly. When it was time to pay, she basically refused to split the bill for the other table in our party, which was around 15 people. They tried to make her life easy by splitting the bill evenly, but when she came to take the check, she asked our group, "so, what kind of a nightmare did you give me?" It was just such a petty, weird thing to say. When we got our check, she did split our bill because there were only 4 people. Even so, this seemed to stretch her mentally, saying, "well I can't make any promises I'll get it right." If it were packed at 11 pm on a Saturday, I'd get it, but late afternoon on a Thursday with 4 tables? That's just not gonna cut it.

I stopped in here for a beer before the Yelp Secret Supper. Had I known how generous Phat Thai would be with the booze, I might not have bothered. That said, the place was almost empty at 5:30pm on a Monday. The service was quick and friendly. The happy hour pricing was decent. And my beer was cold. I would like to come back and try some of the food.

  • Terry B.

I've never eaten here, but I have stopped in for drinks, and liked it. This is apparently the spot for many of the food service employees in the area and apparently NHL zebras. Service was good and prices don't gouge your eyes out. (for Cherry Creek anyway) Clientele is good as well. I have a feeling I'm not going to get a whole lot of "Useful" click on this one, so sue me.

  • Brandon H.

Milwaukee Tavern is definitely in my top three in Cherry Creek. The service is outstanding. I haven't been going there for that long, as I just moved to Denver less than two months ago, and I am already on a first name basis with the majority of staff. They are very attentive and make you feel at home. They have great drink specials everyday, and a good beer selection. The food is also really good. I love the burgers. The French dip is also amazing. Five stars all the way around!!!!!!

    (5)
  • Dan R.

I live in the neighborhood and come in with my kids all the time. The food is good, pub food, my kids love the Mac and Cheese, which is big enough for them to split, and the TV's are great. The burgers are underrated with the Cherry Cricket around the corner and Bad Daddy's just opening. We end up here all the time. It is a perfect place to watch a ball game and grab a beer.

    (4)
  • Chris B.

What do you do when starvation hits and the Cricket is too packed? Well, we meandered down the street to try out the Milwaukee Street Tavern. Drinks were affordable and the service was pretty good. They have a lot of TVs so I could see this as a good sports stop. The 3 instead of 4 stars is because all of our dinners were just so-so. I don't think anyone had anything that they were excited about. But, when you don't want to wait for a better option it will work.

I was underwhelmed by this place. We were at the Cherry Creek Art Fest and came in for a bite today. There was a huge banner hanging out front that said 'Daily Happy Hour Specials!' I asked the waitress what the happy hour specials were. Rudely, she told me it was Sunday. Sorry I read on your banner that there was happy hour daily. I wasn't aware that Sunday didn't count as a day. We ate anyway and we got the slowest service ever. I ordered a salad and my boyfriend had a club sandwich. Can someone explain why they took a half hour to come out of the kitchen while we watched tables around us get their hot food much quicker. The food was actually good. Unfortunately the service was awful.

    (1)
  • Scott H.

Service is sometimes lackluster, and the food isn't the best that you'll find at a pub in Denver, but they have a decent drink selection and excellent game coverage. Bonus points for it being the only University of Kentucky bar that I know of in the city.

  • Andrew G.

The bar was a but empty and service was quick with the food coming out just as quickly. The sandwich felt a bit overpriced for what I was getting... $13 for a BLTA and a pabst. However, the ingredients did taste and look fresh. Love when my avocado is soft with no hint of brown spots. Bein that the ingredients seemed fresh and the service friendly... That is where the stars were earned. The sandwich taste like air. I added lots of salt and lots of pepper. Then generous amount of Chalula to make this baby tasty. Which, with the extra fixings it was. Probably would earn a half star more but definitely not a 4 star joint. Not highly recommended. But if your wanting a break from a bike ride on a hot day... This place will suffice.

We've been making the walk to Cherry Creek a lot lately (2.5 miles) mostly because it gives me a good excuse to at least TRY to work off all the food I've been eating lately. Because of the heat and I knew I was kinda gross from walking, we didn't want to hit up any of the typical establishments. We've been to Milwaukee quite a bit in the past. It was bad because I asked BF once we had wandered around and decided this was the only place where I wouldn't be totally out of place, "Was there anything there we like?" That should have been a red flag, but we went anyhow. As per usual we sat inside on a beautiful day since smokers have more rights then nonsmokers. They really could make part of their patio nonsmoking. We go in and sit at the bar, order up a few drinks, and grab a menu. Tavern Nachos - Off the happy hour menu. They were ok, but as others have said nothing to really remember. Honestly, the menu pretty much bored the crap out of me and we didn't want anything big, so this was a good compromise. Other Food - We use to come here weekly for football games and always ate. I can't remember one thing we order. That says something. It might be time for them to rework that menu. Service - I have to say that the bartender was super friendly and even one of the servers wound up chatting with us. It's not a terrible place, but it's not a great place either. It is nice since Cherry Creek tends to have too many trendy places, so if you look like you just walked 2.5 miles in 80 degree weather then you won't be too embarrassed. It's a sports bar. There you have it. Side note that has nothing to do with the rating, but I thought I was going to lose my mind, some woman thought it was appropriate to bring her VERY VERY VERY loud child to a Tavern =( It was the worst, most jarring noise ever. She even thought it was funny to put her hand over the kids mouth in rapid motions so that the screaming was more of a Wah Wah sound. Yeah, didn't make things better. It was so bad that other people at the bar were asking if the bartender had Niquil for the kid. Seriously people, if you kid can't behave then don't bring it into a very adult establishment or leave when you realize you are making everyone miserable.

Stopped by here while checking out the Cherry Creek Mall. This place is located below street level, so it looked more unique than the other bars along the strip. Good place for a pit stop.

  • Michelle L.

Went here because 1) Cherry Cricket had too many people waiting to get in 2) They serve burgers which was hubby's craving for the evening 3) We managed to get parking right in front. Definitely a place you can enjoy a game or 2 with all the plasma TV's with some sporting event on. Had the kiddies with us on a Saturday night, so felt a little odd bringing them here. But the waitress was warm, accommodating with seating and offered kiddie drink selections. Since it's not "family friendly" per se, they offered soda, lemonade and watered down cocktail juice. After ordering the meal, it did take a bit more time than I'm accustomed to, but understandably given it was a full house. The menu offered a variety of items for American fare. Salads, Sandwiches, Burgers etc. etc. We started off with green chili and cheese fries and spankies wings (buffalo wings). Tasty, but mild and needed more kick. For the kids, ordered them the chicken quesadilla to share. They seemed to enjoy it since they kept quiet eating it all. I ordered the Grilled Cheese and Tomato sandwich with bacon and a side salad with honey mustard dressing. It all seemed just right. Not greasy, too filling...felt satisfied with the tasty meal. Hubby had The Monroe burger. He mentioned it was a bit too dry and probably should have had it cooked medium rare. The 2 lane bowling alley with mini bowling balls was a treat for my neice and nephew. Since there was a wait for the food, bowlling was a nice distraction. No one was in that little section of the restaurant (must have been all too busy watching the games), so it was nice for them to feel like a kid in this establishment and play. I think it was $4 for 10 throws of the ball. So don't expect 10 frames of competitive bowling. Even though we didn't have screaming kids with or around us, it can be a loud place and I felt deaf afterwards. Next time, will probably eat on the patio if it's too loud to begin with. But, the food was good, and I enjoyed the place enough to say I'd come back...with or without the kids.

Like previous reviews, I would recommend the Milwaukee St. Tavern as a great spot to catch a game over drinks. Save your appetite though and head somewhere else for dinner. Even though the server at the Milwaukee Street Tavern quickly asked what game we wanted to watch and told us about the evening's drink specials, the poor food quality turned an otherwise good experience into a forgetful night out. The great service may also be a result of the empty tables, as at one point we were the only guests in the place. The Neapolitan Grinder contained a dental floss-thin layer of meat on a softball-sized roll. However, the onion rings were quite good. The Grilled Veggie Sandwich sounded great as described on the menu, but what arrived at the table was a sad mixture of peppers and asparagus on an extremely burnt set of toast. We ordered the Jalapeno Artichoke Dip as an appetizer. The dip was quite tasty and came with a good assortment of vegetables and wonton chips. However, the dip was not worth the $8 price point.

Spent part of the afternoon here watching Germany kill Australia in the World Cup on a nice big flatscreen television. Our party of seven included two kiddos under seven, and the server was nice and patient with our entire party, despite the crowd of tables she had in the front area (we were--strategically?--placed in the back room). This place seems to be one of those under-appreciated spots in Denver. If you strip away the reputation and hype of the nearby establishment named after an insect, the Milwaukee Tavern measures up very nicely. I've been here twice before today, and had great experiences both times. Just the thought of their homemade chicken fingers makes my mouth water. Opted for the Yucatan Char Grilled Salad today, which was tasty, not to mention, I love when a salad consists of more than just iceburg lettuce. Plus, eating the fresh avocado slices made me smile. The highlight of today's visit was discovering their Sunday Happy Hour special: $4 Absolut--ALL DAY. Definitely coming back here for another delicious spicy Bloody Mary, and if I'm lucky, a screwdriver too! In fact, they've got daily drink specials that aren't listed on their website. Everyday after 10pm, Jameson is $3. That's right! And then there're Saturdays; $3 Stella Artois all day! Two of my go-tos. If you're in the service industry, they'll buy the second drink for you. Seriously. It says so on their drink special menu. Why would I lie?

Not a bad place. I'm friends with a couple of the bartenders, so my review is a tad skewed -- take it for what it's worth. Staff always seems to be friendly to me and everyone else, lots of tvs, great on nights when sports are on. Food is always super, I highly recommend either the mac and cheese or any of the burgers. Prices aren't terrible, and it's always been a great place to just chill out for a while and get some brews and grub.

We spent the afternoon here when the Cherry Cricket told us it would be a few days' wait. I don't think I'd drink here in the evening, but it seemed like a respectable enough establishment to enjoy a few Saturday afternoon beers while pretending that the Winter Olympics were somewhat interesting. A tablemate told us that ski jumping was a total thrill to witness in person. Hell, I'm sure it couldn't be any less intriguing than it is on TV. They had draught Guinness, which is becoming common, but still enough of a rarity that I appreciate seeing it in many places. The burger had no flavor and was overcooked (medium does not equal an hour in the oven), but the service was good enough to overlook it.

Once a week, some friends of mine meet at Milwaukee St Tavern for lunch and drinks and for the use of the free Cherry Creek wifi. Last week, I joined the crew and had a lovely time. The food was good, the drink specials were great, and the staff was amazing. The last time i went to this place prior to last week, it was still Legends. Their food is typical pub food, nothing too out of the ordinary. That day, the beer special wasn't too bad: $3 Easy Street Wheat all day long. For me, the best part of the entire outing was the staff. Everyone was so nice and helpful! It's not normal for a group of pub lunch patrons to whip out their laptops and hang around for a few hours. But, the staff was very understanding and let us sit and drink and graze for hours. My friends go on a semi-regular basis and the staff knows them well. I will definitely be back.

My friends and I stumbled in here one night after eating and drinking at the Cherry Cricket. We didn't want to drive downtown! I'm glad we did stumble in here, we had a lot of fun. Ok, what can I say, they have a duck pin bowling lane right in the bar!! Awesome!! Since we were all stuffed from the Cricket, we didn't eat here, but the food smelled great. The beer selection was good, and so was the whiskey list! The atmosphere was warm. The bartenders were friendly and the prices were just right. I hope to make it back someday!

This is my first time to Milwaukee's and it was great! It was a beautiful evening so we sat on the patio. It was very pleasant! Within 30 seconds of sitting down, we were greeted by Melinda, our server. She let us know the specials and took our drink order. We had our drinks in under 5 mins (it was actually kind of busy too!). Only one of us ate, so I can't really comment on the food. It looked and smelled great however! Service was great! Atmosphere was great! I'll be back for sure!

Im surprised nobody has reviewed this yet, but here goes. I think they opened about a year and a half ago and replaced Legends. I was skeptical at first that they would ever get the smoke smell out of there from Legends, but they completely redid the entire interior and I can safely say it is smoke free. I work in Cherry Creek and if I am ever in the mood for a burger and do not want to wait in line for an over rated burger I call up my unemployed friends to meet me at the Milwaukee St Tavern. The burgers are awesome (I really like the green chile covered burger and the red pepper burger) and they usually have coors light for $2. Cant beat that. The atmoshphere is a little strange being in a basement, but such is Cherry Creek (see Rodneys).

caught some of the world cup games here and was lucky enough to catch this place during happy hour. they had really good happy hour specials, i gobbled down a pound of tasty wings for 4 bucks! the waitresses, as well as a few hot locals ;-), were very friendly and helpful and answered all of my out of towner questions. this is a very nice place to come hang after work.

Service is less than stellar, drinks are so so and I wouldn't put money in the jukebox. Last time we did, they opened the machine up and advanced the song. Not okay when we not only put money into that machine but waited to hear that song.

This place is awesome! One of the best happy hours around. The lil bowling alley is great! Wish they still had arcade machines.very nice bartenders and hot and timely chick servers. This place is very fun!

Service is sometimes lackluster, and the food isn't the best that you'll find at a pub in Denver, but they have a decent drink selection and excellent game coverage. Bonus points for it being the only University of Kentucky bar that I know of in the city.
