I always drive past this place pretty much on the weekly, but never really gave it a second thought. Then after some yoga in the park with some girls, we decided to head over here since it was so close by. I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting them to have gelato flavors along with froyo. I immediately grabbed a few taste cups and went to work. I tried the fruitloops and it definitely tasted like fruitloops, but that didn't quite hit the spot. I then sampled the creme brule gelato and black cherry yogurt. They were both silky smooth and the flavors weren't too overwhelming, so I got a serving of each. I then came here a second time in a week just so I could grab more of the creme brule gelato. I also decided to try the rasberry gelato and that was of course, very tasty. I ordered the mini strawberry cupcake, but I have to admit I am not a cupcake fan and that sure didn't change my mind. Otherwise definitely come by for some froyo/gelato.

I have not tried their cupcaked, but I have regularly tried their frozen yogurt. As a fan of frozen yogurt, this place is great! Their plain tart is one of the best I have tried and I recently tried their nutella flavor and it was so good! I think this is also a locally owned business as I've seen the owner actually working at the cashier, so it's always a plus to support small businesses!

I came here for the cupcakes and left with three regular size and a dozen minis. I ate the full size ones myself and enjoyed all of them thoroughly. The minis came with me to the office the next morning and everyone LOVED them and couldn't stop asking me where I'd gotten them. The cupcakes were not dry at all, and had lots of frosting on them. Some of them come with filling, though not all. I really liked the double chocolate, raspberry lemonade, and lemon cupcake. The pink champagne was very beautiful but the taste just wasn't my favorite. Maybe because I don't like the taste of the beverage? :P Anyway, I will definitely come here again and have recommended everyone in my office visit then when they need cupcakes! I didn't try their frozen yogurt but it looked really good (a couple ladies in front of me got big heaping cups) and they have tons of delicious looking toppings you put on yourself!

For what this place is, it deserves a solid rating. Frozen yogurt, cupcakes, and French press coffee. The most impressive aspect of Milk & Cake is their cupcake selection. There are easily 30+ flavors of colorful, fancy , and unique flavored cupcakes. When I say unique I mean in a good way like peanut butter banana or wedding cake. Additionally, they have a good offering of Gluten free cupcakes, as well as mini cupcakes and brownie cake squares. All are made and iced fresh daily, in house. The flavor varies from good to great, I wasn't completely blown away, but considering each piece is neatly hand crafted , consuming the cupcakes is more of an all-around experience. Milk & Cake is a great place for a morning or afternoon date or get together. A side note, the place is spotlessly clean. The cashier (owner?) is always wiping down tables and counters, and the bathrooms are spotless too, a silly side note but the place is clean as heck. Cool.

Cupcakes AND frozen yogurt all in one. I haven't tried their frozen yogurt, but the other day a friend and I went in and got two of their regular sized cup cakes ($3 per cupcake). I got the Banana Peanut Butter one and WOW it was amazing. I should never, but absolutely could eat 3 of these in one sitting. It was so tasty. Cute little place too, and the location is right off of I-25 to the east on Hampden. Do yourself a favor, get out of traffic, make a pit stop at Milk & Cake and then go on your merry way. You will be in a much happier place mentally leaving Milk & Cake.

Fabulous froyo bar. Cupcakes are fabulous. Pink lemonade is best. And fruity pebbles. Not a lot of seats but that's ok.

Somehow, I started following Milk & Cake on Instagram and so I frequently salivate over pictures of their sweet treats and Summer Deals. Today, I needed a snack for a case of low blood-sugar and I couldn't find any parking at the nearby Starbucks. A perfect storm for me to stumble into none other but Milk & Cake! They had tons of fun flavors to choose from. It was difficult to pick just one.... So I bought five. The staff seemed like they were having a fun time and were helpful when I had questions. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options-- But no matter what you get, it will be DELICIOUS, I'm sure. They have lots of I will be returning soon- possibly ordering lots of cupcakes for parties in the future!

My expectations were high due to many good reviews. The frozen yogurt is the standard machine-soft serve, cupcakes were disappointing, but I did go at the end of the day so maybe they were almost day-old. Had a chocolate mini-cupcake which was just ok and some frozen yogurt with no toppings. The turn for this place seems like you are getting on the freeway on-ramp! Outside seating is nice, the person behind the counter was very efficient and matter-of-fact.

We came one afternoon after dinner. It was my son's half birthday, so we decided on cupcakes. Milk and Cake was the closest cupcake place near our home. The format of this store is unique. Instead of just a yogurt bar you get a cupcakes. Yet for a place that notes "milk and cake" they were surprisingly short on cupcakes. Nor were they that peanut allergen friendly. . .with no knowledge or guarantees of safety. Overall the cupcakes we did get were fine cupcakes. Not exceptional. .but fine. Maybe a tad overpriced . . but cupcake stores are all like that.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LLLOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEEE!!! Me and my fiancé regularly go here we've tried the frozen yogurt a few times an loved it be we absolutely can't keep our hands out of the cupcakes display case! We are famous with our family and friends because anytime we hang out we bring a few boxes of their amazing gourmet style sweets! Highly recommend this heaven on earth!

Coming back from a work meeting, my friend and I felt the need for a drink at a coffee shop that happens to be close to Milk and Cake. One thing led to another and before we knew it we were walking in to an awesome selection of cupcakes. Let me first say that I love the name and concept behind this place. And after sampling the cupcakes, I can say I am a fan! I ordered the salted toffee cupcake and my friend got the turtle cupcake. We both took cupcakes to go for our husbands. I don't know about her husband but my husband thought the red velvet was solid gold delicious. My salted toffee was very good with toffee mixed in with vanilla cake. The frosting was creamy with little hits of salt. We decided that there is nothing else to do but come back and work our way through the menu one cupcake at a time!

They just closed the frozen yogurt place that is closest to our house. We were bummed but happy to find a coupon for this place on the back of our King Soopers receipt. We figured, what the heck, lets try Milk & Cake. We were not disappointed! The flavors are always changing and always delicious. This is the only frozen treat place that serves gelato soft-serve style. It's amazing!! Their strawberry shortcake gelato and yellow cake mix gelato taste EXACTLY like their names. I have never tried a cupcake from here but they look delicious!

I came in here to check out their selection after always driving past that newer-ish area on the north side of Hampden. Their cupcakes are definitely delicious. Their frozen yogurt selection looked good but I was there for cupcakes. I got the red velvet and lemon cupcakes. The red velvet was everything you'd expect it to be. The cake was a dark, rich red color and was very moist and chocolatey. The cream cheese frosting was a little grainy but overall good and decadent. The lemon cupcake burst with citrus flavor but the cake was a little dry. I'm not a fan of citrusy desserts in general but it was still good. For those who want to try a few different cupcakes, they have mini versions as well that are fairly priced to get a taste.

Omg!! I love this place! They are so absolutely nice and have very very yummy cupcakes and yogurt! Savannah and Amanda are best! Seriously the best!

  • Khanh N.

This is pretty much the only cupcake place near my house other than Whole Foods so I was glad it's pretty decent. The cake is moist and the icing is creamy (although it's a bit too sweet for my taste but other people might prefer it that way). My favorite is the salted caramel. FYI they have $2 deals on Tuesdays. Don't come in here expecting "New York or Chicago or SF" quality cupcakes like some other reviewers (ffs you are in Aurora!) and you will be satisfied.

  • Chrissie B.

Frozen yogurt and cupcakes...can there be anything less then a 5 star rating?? They have a good variety of flavors including dairy free, and a great selection of toppings compared to other froyo shops in the area. Prices are also reasonable. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

  • Jordyn S.

Tried something new and got the salted caramel cupcake. To die for! It's been about a month and I can't stop thinking about it. Yum!

Milk & Cake has inventive and delicious cupcakes! I had the Captain Pepper cupcake which is a cupcake with ... Wait for it... Captain Morgan Rum and Dr. Pepper. Put a Superman cape on Captain Pepper and I'm pretty sure she will save the world someday!!!

  • D E.

Average cupcakes. I was anticipating more Mind Blowing cupcakes and cupcake shop to match those you find in NYC or chicago. I also waited forever for service since the employee was in the back and wasn't aware there were customers out front. They should have a bell to ring if there's no one at the counter.

  • Allison S.

Love getting dessert here. They use local ingredients and make their frozen yogurt, ice cream and gelato in house. They have tester cups so you can try the variety of flavors to select what you like, and then there's the toppings bar. They weigh your cup at the end for pricing. They also have cupcakes, and gluten free options, but I think I'm a bigger fan of their froyo! Plus it's a great environment to spend time, they have wifi if you need to work, and they have some patio space when the weather is warm. And if you go on a Tuesday, they typically have deals like $2 cupcakes and buy one get one for ice cream/froyo.

Grocery store quality cupcakes. I've had better cupcakes elsewhere. The frozen yogurt is pretty good.

  • Tiara Q.

The champagne frosted brownie was orgasmic. Champagne is pink, not too sweet and the perfect addition to the rich chocolate covered brownie. I bought brownies that were rock hard, brought them back & got fresh ones. Knocked off a star for having to come back and the $3 price tag on these cupcakes. Somehow I'm ok with it for the brownie. Crazy good. Their froyo ain't bad either.

    (4)
  • Shiloh C.

The frozen yogurt choices are great, even the egg nog was good! We decided to buy both yogurt and cupcakes and are happy we did, they lost a star for uncomfortable chairs and the awkward environment but it was worth coming and we are coming back again for sure!

  • Andrea S.

I truly love the concept of cupcakes and froyo in the same place. Sadly, the cupcakes are sub par - like out of a box cupcakes. Overpriced too. I'd recommend going for a mini cupcake instead of the regular size guys. The frozen yogurt is good with great topping options (mochi balls!!). I'll be returning for more froyo. Glad to have it in this 'hood.

This place is fantastic!! Friendly staff, awesome selection, only one of its kind (DIY Froyo) in the area. A new favorite!

The frozen yogurt is a mixed bag. The chocolate is unpalatable, while the cheesecakes is outstanding. I'm a big fan of cup cake shops and this one is good and worth checking out. However the best one in town is "The Shoppe" down on Colfax near CO Blvd.

    (4)
  • Bre H.

I had a salted toffee cupcake. I loved it. It wasn't dry and the toffee topping was fresh. You can usually tell when toffee isn't fresh. I also got the Creme Brule Gelato which was awesome! And the banana cheesecake which wasn't as good but still very tasty. The bathrooms were clean! Love places that have clean up to date bathrooms!

Impossible to drive by and not stop for one of their delicious cupcakes! I've tried red velvet, French toast, birthday cake, pink champagne and banana peanut butter. My personal favorites that I get every single time is red velvet and banana peanut better. At the end of the day they throw out the cupcakes so they can make a fresh batch in the morning so you know you're getting delicious and fresh cupcakes and not day old ones. Love love love their cupcakes

This place definitely get five stars. Clean and the staff was great. I love the pineapple upside down cake ice cream.

  • Amy W.

Best fro-yo I've had! It's a little creamier than other yogurt shops and taste homemade. They have tons of toppings, including pecans and toasted coconut, which I can never find anywhere else! Definitely, best fro-yo shop south of Denver.

Froyo is great, brownies are even better. Good selection, regularly rotated. Helpful staff and clean, comfortable seating area. Easy to find two for one deals on king soopers receipts and coupon mailers.

I search high and low for the best gluten free cupcakes and do believe it has been found! There gluten free carrot cake, red velvet cake, birthday cake are AWESOME!!! My new secret addiction. Hard to not have more then one a week! You will get addicted! Size is just right!

  • Jennie K.

I've become obsessed with this place! I don't usually go to ice cream/yogurt places since I'm lactose intolerant but this place is perfect! It's the only frozen yogurt place that offers a non-dairy frozen yogurt (that's not sorbet) that I've ever found. They have a vanilla almond milk frozen yogurt that is amazing! They also have some awesome cupcakes! They have gluten free and vegan options available. I've been to so many cupcake shops looking for a good cupcakes and this is the best place I've found so far. My only complaint is that there's too much frosting (but in all fairness I don't really like frosting).

    (5)
  • Nic Z.

Torn between giving a two and three (mainly because we felt very 'meh' about it, and 2 is meh). We have visited cupcake/froyo places in multiple other states, and they all have very large and fresh selections. I get that this location probably gets a fraction of their traffic, but can this concept last on such a small scale? The quality just isn't there.

    (3)
  • Erika H.

My favorite for gluten free cupcakes! Moist and flavorful. They nearly almost have them on hand which is great. The frozen yogurt flavors leave something to be desired but they provide quite a variety of toppings.

    (4)
  • Heather P.

Best gluten free cupcakes I've ever had. I wish thy had more GF flavors, but they are delicious! Moist and yummy.

  • James H.

Thought the yogurt was sour, and very over priced. Didn't get a "warm" welcome either. The owner of the place came across as arrogant and we felt rushed out the door. Yougurt Land is way better.

Stopped by this new cupcake and yogurt spot near our home recently and bought a delicious brownie with nuts and creamy frosting. Waited a day to eat it and found the freshness and taste to be great. Give it a try! Want to go back for the yogurt.

I am a fan of this place. I have been in several times now and had a couple of brownies and cupcakes. I don't do frozen yogurt (if I'm going to eat dessert, I don't go light). But the brownies and cupcakes are very good. Cupcakes are very moist--and they have some fun unique flavors, which makes me very happy! I love the banana peanut butter. Keep it up, Milk & Cake--I'll be back!

I love me some fro-yo so I was super hype to see a new spot so close to home. Plus cupcakes too?!?! Yesssssss. I loved the interior - modern and cozy. Their set up is pretty par for the self serve froyo course. Lots of flavors all of which you can sample. I went with a chocolate and somethin-or-other swirl - it was good, but lets be real - the toppings are what I was looking forward to most. I loaded up on cookie and candy goodness and then, almost as an afterthought, added some brownies. Friends, let me tell you, those brownie bits were so. friggin. good. Fresh, moist, rich, undoubtedly homemade. I'm gonna need to go back just for a whole one. Reasonably priced as well. Plus we signed up for their rewards program and now I get emails about whatever specials they run here and there. Very nice. Will be back and WILL be getting my brownie fix soon. Oh Believe that!

Yum! I'll be posting photos of the delicious treats from this place. Nice upscale location and decor, but honestly I don't care about any of that - I'm always out to find the best FOOD! ;) I wasn't quite sure what to expect based on the Yelp reviews, and was hoping for more of a bakery. It turned out to be a self serve build your own frozen yogurt place with only one display case for treats such as cupcakes. We came in late on a Friday night, and only a few day-old cupcakes were left. I'm happy to report that the day-old's were better than many of the "fresh" (typically frozen at many shops) cupcakes I've had, and the icing was perfect. We saved the cupcakes for Saturday (so by the time I had the cupcakes I suppose they were technically two-day-old's) and decided to try the yogurt while were there. Pretty good selection of flavors (even an almond milk vanilla!) My best tip from this visit - try the brownie bites!

  • Wise Reviewer H.

Best frozen yogurt and cupcakes around! As we all know, quality ingredients create quality treats and you can taste the difference here. There are always plenty of unique and delicious flavors to choose from that totally deliver. The price is right, it's not a chain store, it supports other local businesses, and it's a nice place to hang out in. Can't go wrong and worth the trip!

    (5)
  • Jennifer R.

I love small business and love the fact that someone has opened a small local business in the heart of a "big box" area. It saddens me that someone would go to GiGi's over this place. I wonder if they would stop by Walmart on their way home? This place is not perfect but a little gem. I had an assortment of cupcakes. $3 for a cupcake is really going market price so I am not sure why someone who raves about Gigi's mediacore over sweet/frosted cupcakes would have a problem with a $3 cupcake here. Someone made this for you--small batch and local owned. Out of our selection the PB and J was the group favoite. The jelly in the middle was a surprise. I think that this little shop will fit right into that area and I hope that the families in the apartments around it make it a stopping place. I would defienitely go back there again.

After lunch on weekend day, I decided to try out this place (I love gourmet cupcakes), and since Milk & Cake had just recently opened I tried it out. First, by the name I didn't expect them to sell frozen yougart (which my son opted for). The layout of the store, while very nice looking overall, was mostly focused on the yourgart, with only a small display case of cupcakes and some brownies - why not have your sweets front and center? The yougart tasted pretty good - nothing too much different than other all-natural yougart places around here. Now, to the cupcakes - they were okay but way over-priced ($3 for a regular sized cupcake which was really small - maybe three regular bites). The price prevented me from getting a second cupcake, and I split the red velvet cupcake with my husband, but it did not fulfill my sweet tooth at the time (not really enough to share). Yes, I like that this place is locally owned and only uses fresh, local ingredients (as the lady working there was telling me), but I can't stomach the price. For your money, I'd recommend Church of Cupcakes or Small Cakes.

Milk and Cake is happiness in a pretty store. The staff is always nice and welcoming and the yogurt options are plentiful. I especially love the dairy-free options and the almond-vanilla made with almond milk. I ordered a bunch of cupcakes for my birthday and they were super moist and delish! Definitely my favorite in Denver.

Went in the other day for the first time. It's just like the rating says: I've had better. I actually had a brownie--primarily b/c the cupcakes just didn't have enough frosting on them for me to even bother. I had a chocolate brownie w/cream cheese frosting. The brownie itself was very good. However, the cream cheese frosting was terrible. It had this bizarre acrid taste that made my glands water like I'd just eaten something really sour. It was really weird. Why don't people try their food?? I just don't get it.

  • Kristie L.

We decided to stop in here to check out the cupcakes after lunch today. This place is definitely not a bakery. They're more of a frozen yogurt place that sells cupcakes. I have tried cupcake shops from coast to coast and this place gets it right! Finally a moist cupcake with the right cupcake to frosting ratio. I had the double chocolate. It has a subtle almond flavor to it and it was delicious! I like that the cupcakes taste homemade and not overly done. This is the first cupcake shop that I would actually visit again. It was worth $3.50 for a special treat.

Milk&Cake is awesome, the look is fresh and the cupcakes are AMAZING! The frosting is the best in town. Trust me, I've tried more than my fair share of Denver's offerings! The location is great, nestled between Cherry Creek and Denver the Tech Center.

I'm a bit of a frozen yogurt snob - it's gotta be the good quality, healthy and happy cows making the yogurt. Milk & Cake hits the jackpot - all natural and locally sourced in Boulder! Yum!!!

I was super excited to see that this place opened up around the corner from our house. I'm THAT into cupcakes. No, really. I'd do damn near anything for a good cupcake. So I packed up the husband and the kid to check out the goods on a Saturday afternoon, ready to experience the joy of finally living in the perfect triangle of awesome (Whole Foods, Ramen, and Cupcakes). The Good: The signage and the company's website is wonderful. Top-notch marketing. I absolutely loved the interior design and layout of the shop itself. Super cute and modern. (One thing: If they served coffee, I think they'd get a more regular crowd.) The place was immaculate and the location is, obviously, awesome for us. The Bad: The girl behind the counter was more interested in her phone and watching the clock than she was in helping customers. I think (maybe?) we received a half-hearted greeting when we entered, but if we had questions beyond that, we were clearly on our own. I asked a question about a specific cupcake flavor that wasn't displayed, and she brushed me off in an unhelpful way. (I still don't know what the hell flavor the cupcake was, but we ordered something else.) She did offer to sell us milk, while looking at her fingernails, though, so there's that. Teenage (early twenties?) haughtiness and cupcakes. Yum! The Ugly: The cupcakes are okay, but nothing that I couldn't easily re-create at home. Every cupcake was frosted with the same style tip, and there wasn't any special flair going on. My husband, who is super easy to please, said, "Eh. It's okay, I guess." That is NOT the response you want from a man who thinks Red Dye #40 is an incredible flavor enhancer. On top of that, while we ate our cupcakes, I watched the same employee (please, God, let that woman not be an owner or this place is in serious trouble) ignore/brush off/and be generally unhelpful with another customer. She was more interested in another employee (owner?) behind the counter. Mostly, the employees looked bored out of their skulls. This places strikes me as the dreamchild of two women who married well and like the West Elm catalog but know absolutely nothing about how to run a customer service business. The design and branding are incredible, but the product and staff are mediocre at best. The place is cute; what and how they're selling, not so much. But, hey, the employees wear really cute T-shirts! The bottom line? If you're going to pay that much for a cupcake, get something remarkable. Go to The Shoppe on Colfax or drive to Boulder for Tee and Cakes. Both places will give you incredible, friendly service on top of their incredible (and unique) cupcakes. If you want frozen yogurt, go around the corner to S. Monaco, where you can get the same stuff, and where they do a better job of creating a warm atmosphere with much cheaper furniture. Someone hire that Milk & Cake branding/web designer, though. That person is awesome.

I can only comment on the cupcakes because that is all I have had. That being said, I can tell you the cupcakes are mediocre at best. Only marginally better than grocery store brands. If you want an amazing cupcake go downtown to "The Church of Cupcakes" or even the national chain "Gigi's" is better.
