I was going to take a picture....but made the mistake of taking a bite.....by the time I recovered my sanity....I had eaten everything. We were looking for a spot to eat brunch and happened across this place. It is a quiet little place and its not super packed. That being said, the morning scramble and hero panini were both amazing. The morning scramble with slow cooked pork with an over easy egg is a MUST!! I really dont understand why people are willing to wait 1.5 hours at the am eatery for brunch. Seriously, walk two blocks and check this place out. Great service, great food at reasonable prices.

LOVE IT! Now that I work downtown, I'm always looking for an excuse to "forget my lunch". This place just gave me another one! I called in an order around 12 on a Friday and while they sound busy on the phone, it wasn't too bad when I walked in 15 minutes later. I had the portobello mushroom panini, with a delicious combo of veggies, & pasta saladwoth what tastes like fresh, yes, fresh, basil pesto. Such a great options for a relatively low price, about 10 bucks. The portions are big and I had some leftovers for dinner. Now that I know there's a yelp special, I'll be back!

I was here recently and ordered the spaghetti entree with grilled chicken. The service was ok but the food was very bad. The pasta noodles were extremely soft and mushy, while the chicken was very undercooked and difficult to even bite in to. Given this place has an Italian name, I would think they would err on the side of undercooking the noodles so as to serve them al dente, which is the traditional way to serve pasta. And for the chicken, I would think they would prefer to overcook rather than undercook it to reduce the chances of someone getting sick from it, but unfortunately that was not the case.

This place is a nice downtown gem. The happy hour is great and I will definitely be putting this in the "rotation" during the week. We started off with a glass of the house syrah and added two cheeses for $2.00. (Part of the great happy hour.) Then we added the Greek Salad and Caprese Salad with our entrees. Both were 1/2 salads and the portions were generous. I had the goat cheese ravioli and added honey smoked salmon for my entree. The pasta's are house made and delicious. The flavors were great... the only thing about my food is it could of been served at a warmer temperature. My food wasn't cold... it just wasn't hot. My other half had the Eggplant Parmesan and complimented it as, "one of the best eggplant parmesan's ever." We end the dinner with the Tiramisu. It is not baked in-house, but rather delivered by a baker who is a friend of the owner of the restaurant. Wow. If you get a chance and the Tiramisu is available... ORDER IT. This was one of the best Tiramisu's I have had in quite a while.

This place is selfish and I'm so glad I went! The caprese salad was absolutely delicious!!! Great use of pine nuts! And the chicken panini was soooo good. All of the staff were extremely nice and there was a feeling of community when you waked in. On top of it all, they have some excellent gelato to choose from if you have a sweet tooth!

Amazing pizza, the bread is cooked just right. I recommend if you are looking for great ingredients and exceptional service. I had the Diavola pizza and it was superb. The waitresses are always happy to help and recommend great food. Overall one of the best restaurants to grab a quick bite during lunch in Denver.

I had never been to this restaurant before and had heard good things on YELP and booked a reservation for Valentine's Day. Our cocktails were delicious, my pasta carbonara was superb, and the after dinner affogato...yum. Bread was alright just dry and pressed for grill marks but not much else. No balsamic or oil. I feel like this could have been improved. The location was great and service was wonderful. I will be going back for sure :)

Great Sandwiches... but $12 for a sandwich is a bit pricey.. even with homemade chips and a side salad.

A very nice restaurant just steps from Union Station in the heart of Lodo. We've been there several times. Sometimes just for a coffee, sometimes for breakfast. The staff is always pleasant, fast, and helpful. The food is nice. We've had various pastries, frittata's, and have enjoyed it all. The ambiance is nice, clean, bright and fresh. I fully recommend stopping in if you're passing by.

Absolutely love this place! It's right by my office so I stop in regularly. Breakfast pizzas, sandwiches, and everything else is all so good! The woman who is almost always working there is just the sweetest person too! :)

I love Pronto for my morning coffee! Not only is it a strong, tasty cuppa, they are SO friendly there. I'm not naming names...but there are some places nearby where my coffee is served with a side of 'tude and pretense. I don't have time for that at 7am. I've also had lunch there and I'm always happy. I've had delicious salads, paninis, and pizzas - all good! They serve dinner, too. They have a full bar and reasonably priced bottles.

I think it's safe to say I won't be coming back here again. I didn't think it was possible to screw up a Capresse salad, but $10 later Pronto has managed to do it. I specifically asked for good ole fashioned balsamic vinegar instead of that dumb reduction everyone seems to love, and they brought it out with balsamic vinagrette instead. So I sent it back and also asked that they put fresh basil on it instead of that dumb basil paste everyone seems to love (they have massive basil plants in the window so it didn't seem too much to ask). Then they brought the new salad back with espresso cups full of vinegar and oil, "homemade" mozzarella that's the hardest, most flavorless mozzarella I've ever NOT tasted, and just a couple little slivers of fresh basil on top of the basil paste, none of which bother me quite so much as the tomatoes, which were canned. CANNED.

We went here for valentines day, it took us 10-15 minutes to get a second menu (couple who sat down after us got their menus before us). My water was never refilled till the very end of the dinner and the server never asked us how our food was. The crab bruschetta was on a cold piece of bread not toasted with a red pepper tapenade that was actually just a slice of a red pepper, not a spread without any fresh basil like the menu states. Also, the calamari only tasted like the oil it was fried in with no other flavor. How you mess up calamari and bruschetta at an Italian restaurant beats me. Our entrees were both subpar, lacking flavor. Sadly, this will not be a restaurant we come back to again for the price we paid.

Portions are very large, but tasty. Got the breakfast burrito, which was not only double the size of your typical, but also served on a plate drenched in chicken chili and cheese. But, great flavor - would recommend no chili, no cheese, no tomato, no lettuce, if you're looking for more typical breakfast size. Large mocha is large! Tasted great though. On flavor I'd give the burrito a 3 out of 5 and the mocha a 4 out of 5. Service was fast, polite, and they spoke Italian. Grazie.

I love this place for lunch especially! I work just a few blocks away and have come here for lunch a couple times and dinner once. All times it was not crowded but there were other people around. I have gotten pasta and two of the salads are all great. The poppyseed salad is one of my favorites. Staff are nice and the food comes quite fast.

Took a friend for lunch and really enjoyed my big salad here. I got the Chop Salad - romaine, salami, pepperoni, kalamata olives, artichokes, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic vinaigrette. Everything on the lunch menu is under $12 and the pizzas looked really good. You place your order inside and then a server brings you the order. The have a nice patio outside too.

I changed my review to 5 stars based on our 2nd visit here. This time we had dinner and dessert. This time we split the Diavola pizza and some pasta, both of which were exceptional. The pizza I'm guessing is all made in house like the pasta, but the Tiramisu was the biggest winner of the night. Hands down one of the best we've ever had, I'd highly recommend it.

When this place first went i - i kinda though fazoli's, but down town - how weird... So i never popped in... Finally met some friends for lunch on a snow day. High noon - not too many people, easy to get a table, and a couple people getting take out. I went with the Italian BLT - Oh my frickin lord... woah! It was great, the pasta salad with the artichoke and dollop of pesto on top was to die for - it was small bowl, but super duper great! Staff at the counter was great. Yeah - it's a bit high priced for counter ordering, but if i wasn't such a piglet i'm sure i could have gotten 2 meals out of my lunch, or should have anyway! I like how it's set up and the options on the menu - as it was there were 3 things i wanted that i couldn't decide between, so i need to go 2 more times to try them all!

My husband enjoys their unusual pepperoni pizza and I'm a fan of their swordfish and mashed potatoes. We love that it is quiet and small. A large coffee is in a real coffee cup, not in paper or plastic.

Stopped in here for a "famous" (famous from my co-workers who raved about it) Nutella Latte. After paying $4.50 for a SMALL, I took my first sip expecting chocolatey-hazelnut deliciousness to coat my mouth... Nope, nothing. I'm not sure if the barista completely forgot my "real Nutella" as advertised, or just totally skimped me, but I was sorely disappointed. For as much as I balk at coffee places and their exorbitant prices (the mark up on espresso, milk and flavoring is depressing), this one really takes the cake. I hate ****bucks, but at least when I stop in there and spend almost $5.00 on a drink, it tastes like what I ordered. Bummer.

I have always walked past here and never went in, so decided to try it. The counter service was rally good; quick and painless to snag a Caprese salad and a pizza. Lunch was $22 and included a Pellegrino water. Ouch. But considering I only go out to lunch usually once a week this is a treat. The pizza was outstanding; white pizza with a delicious crust. I ate the whole thing. Oops. The salad was also good but the mozzarella cheese was hard and kind of rubbery. I think I am used to softer cheese, but the EVOO was awesome. I like this spot; will go back and try something different.

I was in a party of 6. We had a bottle of wine, 2 appetizers and our dinners. we walked away being comped for the whole meal. We arrived at 7:30 to nice live music and a half empty restaurant. We were greeted and ordered in a timely manner. An hour later we received one of the 2 appetizers. An hour and 20 minutes later the last appetizer came. We received 4 of the 6 meals 2 hours later. We finally asked them to put the last 2 meals in a box so we could just go home. When one of the boxed meals came, it was the wrong meal. The whole time we were waiting, no one came over and refilled our water, stopped to explain what the delay was, or even passed by our table. Everyone avoided our table. We got up twice to ask what the delay was, and at one point, we were met with a hostile promise that the food would be out in 10 minutes. It actually took 35 minutes. Everyone else who came into the restaurant after us got their food in a timely manner. When waiting for our check and nice young man came to our table and stated he works at the restaurant, was off for the night, and happened to stop by to check on things in the restaurant. When he heard how long we waited, he stated our meal was on the house and was sorry for the problems we encountered, and was hoping we would give them another chance. His only explanation was, there was a "language barrier" in the kitchen. We would probably give this restaurant another chance because the food was awesome. However, since no one made the effort to refill water glasses or come by the table with explanations or apologies, we will not go back. If there was a language barrier in the kitchen, why was the problem with our order and no one else's order?

When I was still working at WESTAF, this was my place to get my afternoon latte. Yes, it was partly out of convenience but they also made a decent vanilla latte and I really liked the service. I will agree with Kristen N. that when I tried the delicious sounding Nutella latte I didn't taste anything closely resembling Nutella. Bummer!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Absolutely superb! I dinned there with my parents as we were celebrating my graduate degree. The food was so delicious. I ordered the Pollo and the flavors of pesto, creme and fresh basil were in every bit i took. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection and the chicken was wonderfully breaded just enough to add some texture. My parents dishe's were outstanding as well. The marina sauces were excellent and not too acidic and the wine we paired with everything was AMAZING! We couldn't just stop at dinner we had to get their light and ever flavorful cappaccino cake that wasat least 6 layeres alternating with mousse and a light chocolate cake. We washed that down with piping hot and ever so amazing americanos. My family is Italian and I worked at Starbucks for 5 years. The food is incredible and the coffee is outstanding. HIGHLY recommend!

Some of the best Italian I've had in Denver. Their cotto pizza really is worthy of the press it's received. I ate here with a group of 7, and every single person commented for up to hours later about how much they enjoyed the food. They also serve one of the best Caesar salads I've had in years. Very, very highly recommended.

Great lunch place. Just the right amount of food, the panini a are nice and savory, without being too heavy.

I had a delicious chopped salad today, and an outstanding, velvety smooth gelato. But the real reason I'm writing is the outstanding service: A server came running out towards me after I'd left to bring me my wallet, which I'd forgotten the restaurant. It would've been a catastrophe for me had I lost it, and I am very, very grateful.

Service was friendly, but slow. Food was mediocre and strange. I was disappointed, as was the party I was with for dinner. As an Italian I am naturally picky about Italian food, but I went in with an open mind. Much to my chagrin, my pasta "Cignale" was extremely different than what was advertised. The sauce had an overpowering cinnamon/cardamom flavor. In an Indian dessert? Bring it. In a Bolognese sauce that is supposed to contain truffle oil? No thank you. Don't even try to pass it off as a "special" type of truffle oil, it's offensive. My bf's pizza was so densely covered in cheese it was difficult to eat. Also, the pizza crust tasted like saltine crackers. Like I said, strange... Just strange.

Sadly, I only got here a couple of time around happy hour before moving out of downtown, but it was great! I like the casual and loose euro cafe meets deli with a full bar that happens. We had a few nice truffle choices for apps, and a killer martini. I looked over the brunch menu and it looked GREAT. I hope to make it back soon!

I really want to like this place as it's just a few blocks from my office but I've now given it three tries and have not been impressed all three times. I ran over there this morning to grab some breakfast thinking I could be there and back to my office in 15 minutes tops. little did I know that it would take 25 minutes (from the time I ordered) to get my breakfast burrito. it wasn't super crowded in there, either and only three people in front of me had ordered food. also, it cost me $11.50 for a breakfast burrito and a large coffee. the food is okay but definitely not worth the price. I've had lunch there and it was decent but again pricey and slow. the staff is very nice but that's about all this place has going for it in my eyes at the moment. sorry, mangiamo pronto, but i'm sure you'll be okay without me.

I love eating here. The employees are incredibly friendly and the place is never busy (even on a Friday night). My husband and I go mainly for the coffee, gelato (the Oreo is the best), and cake balls (again, Oreo is the best).

After sampling a few delicious items at my company's "work hard/play hard" event, my cousin and I decided a cute little downtown bistro was in order for lunch the other day. We found a spot on the patio [so cute!] and proceeded to order some of the best food possible! I noshed on a fresh tuna melt, while anna opted for a strawberry & goat cheese salad. we went half-sies on it so we both could try each others meal and wow. -The food is still amazing. -The staff is outstandly friendly, helpful and prompt. -The prices are still a bit high, but def worth it. -I came back to the office, full and satisfied :) mmmmm!

This spot serves food boardering on 4 stars, but given the walk-up-and-stand-in-line-to-order format, the place is over-priced, at least at lunch, which is when I've gone. I like that what they serve is hand-crafted authentic-tasting Italian lunch-counter-food, and that they have wine and beer, and some very tasty baked goods. So, if I could give them 3.67 stars that'd be the rating, with a thumbs-up. But MP, if you want to save service costs and configure your restaurant like a Chipotle's, then you can't charge $10-$11 for a sandwich. That said, today I had their cup of soup and caesar salad combo, a small but good tasting lunch snack for $5.75, priced well below anything else on the menu, and it was just fine.

Wow, the ambience, the service, the people, the music. From the moment we set foot in the restaurant everything was professional and perfect. They had a live musician and he sounded awesome. When we got our food it looked beautiful. Our friends had the salmon, which literally melted in our mouth the risotto was cooked perfect (chef Ramsey would approve), our other friend had veal meatballs and said it was yummy and half way through was stuffed but finished it all. I got the crab and shrimp pasta and it was it was delicious and might I add the hand made pasta was very good. My husband had something with pancetta he said it was very good. All in all our experience was very nice.

My breakfast experience was five star. I arrived at 7:00 am and staff was alert, greeted me and explained all menu questions to perfection. The mushroom, spinach and tomato omelet was fantastic. Fresh Mighty Leaf black currant tea was nice since a lot of restaurants serve premix. I was surprised that Pronto! is large with seating for at least 50. It was clean also. Signs that management is present, aware and probably friendly.

Although slightly pricey, I really enjoyed my lunch here. I had the lunch salad special which was simple, clean, and perfect. They offer a variety of sandwiches, salads, and pizzas and a few entrees. They have a full bar and beer and wine. The desserts looked awesome but I didn't try any. They also offer Lavazza coffee so go in for an espresso or something. It's not a destination restaurant, but it's a solid option when you're in the area.

Holy mother of meat! No. Seriously. The patron saint of deli meats has definitely blessed this little Italian cafe nestled into a corner in LoDo. I went in here to grab a quick sammie before a client interview and I was not disappointed. I had the Panza Panini which is slow roasted pork loin, crispy bacon, roasted ham, spicy aioli, fontina cheese and I added avocado. This is the sammuch predators dream about and it was delicious. I paired it with a Boylan's Creme Soda and it was a perfect lunch that day and the next because I could actually only eat one half of the gigantor panini. My one gripe is that the prices are a little on the high side for food that is the equivalent of fast casual, but it's definitely worth the occasional splurge.

I was in the other night. Thursday I think. My party and one other was it. Not sure why. This place does great food. Service was friendly and attentive. Great cheeses!!! I did not have a coffee (espresso) but my friend did and she was very happy with it.

I discovered Mangiamo Pronto early in the week and took my co-workers back for lunch on Friday - what a treat! The service is extremely warm and gracious, and my meal was delicioso. The caprese salad was great, and the pepperoni pizza was extremely satisfying - just the right combination of thin Italian crust, sauce, cheese, and delightful pepperoni and sausage. The owner even brought us cake balls (gratis) to say thanks for coming in. I couldn't be more delighted, and those who wander just one block off the 16th Street mall to 17th and Wazee will be happy they did.

I walk past Mangiamo Pronto every weekday and I decided to go recently for a quick coffee and breakfast. I usually go down the street to Common Grounds but I thought I'd give this place a shot since I've heard the food is decent. I went in the morning during work so I was in a little bit of a hurry....Did not work out in my favor to say the least. The total was $8 for a small espresso drink and a croissant to go. It took over 10 minutes, with no line, for them to bring me my order. The croissant was rock hard when I got it. I saw that the server noticed it before she gave it to me so she handed it to the line chef in the back and he heated it up for a few seconds in the oven...This then turned my croissant from a cold rock into a hot rock. Not much improvement if you ask me. The coffee was...mediocre. I tried to eat the croissant knowing I spent $8 on it but it was inedible considering I don't have teeth like a canine that can chew through tree bark. Worth mentioning that I ordered a chocolate croissant and they gave me a plain one, I'm not picky so I just accepted it but they did screw that up as well. Needless to say I'm not coming back here again.

What a jewel! So glad we came across this place as we walked about Denver looking for a place to have dinner. Atmosphere was relaxing yet up beat. Loved the selection of music. I ordered the Cingale....OMG! What a great choice. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Not over or under cooked. The bolognese sauce was INCREDIBLE. Not to mention the freshly made bread and the hearty, full flavored cup of coffee. I will keep this on my revisit list. On top of everything Melissa, our waitress, and the owner Fritz were fantastic hosts. Made us feel perfectly at home.

I'm so happy that pasta is now on the menu at lunch. I had the pappardelle with chicken which is pretty much like a de-constructed chicken soup. Giant, wide house-made noodles, roasted chicken, grape tomatoes, and spinach, all afloat in a garlic broth. Once I had decimated the pasta parts, I took the broth and a chunk of baguette to go and made the broth my afternoon snack. I'm bummed that the reviews are so inconsistent. Pleasantly that hasn't been my experience; I've enjoyed every meal, latte, and pastry.

I have a lot to say about this place but I'll keep it as brief as I possibly can. My mother came into town from NY to visit my brother and I for his birthday. About a week ago I checked out open table for open reservations for Friday and a restaurant downtown , which were hard to come by of course due to Valentine's Day. After scouring the open reservations I found one for 7pm at Mangiamo Pronto. I had never been and looked forward to having some good Italian food with my family. Wow, was I disappointed. When we arrived we were told to take a seat wherever we'd like and there were plenty available. We sat down to our table and placed our drink orders which arrived promptly. Next, we placed our orders for appetizers. An order of bruschetta and some beef carpaccio. Here is where our issues began. We placed our app orders just after 7 and after 2 more drinks and an hour we finally got them at 8. During our wait we felt completely ignored by our waitress who seemed to glance in another direction every time she passed our table. I finally got up and asked what the hold up was and she turned around and picked up some food that had been sitting for a while on the sidelines and said "Here it is!" With the service going down the tubes I was hoping the food would make up for it. It didn't. The bruschetta was glorified garlic bread with pesto, balsamic, and mozzarella hastily thrown on top like an afterthought and the bread was sopping and soggy. Well, hopefully the entree's would be spectacular. Nope. Actually, for the first time in my life I can say an entree from a restaurant was weird and gross. There have been plenty of times I've been out and the food wasn't that great, but with wine, family, and friends, I'd eat it anyway and enjoy my time. There is no way you can do that here unless you were born without taste buds. I ordered the Chicken Milanese, another way of saying chicken parm. I got it served over fusilli with bolognese sauce. The chicken wasn't half bad, in fact, I ate all of that. The pasta however was disgusting. The sauce tasted like they had put a ton of cinnamon and nutmeg in it. No. You don't do that and call yourself an Italian place. I don't care if you've tried it and liked it but no one else does. Maybe they were reaching for basil and oregano but missed? This is, by far, the worst Red Sauce I have ever had. I would have enjoyed my dinner more if I had opened a can of Safeway brand crushed tomatoes and emptied them on top. My mother ordered homemade fettuccine with plain red sauce and a side of meatballs. The pasta was under cooked by a mile and we like it al dente. Under-cooked and gross, but the red sauce, as flavorless as it was, did not have the same nutmeg/cinnamon taste as mine. That must be a special treat reserved just for the meat. The meat balls that came on the side looked as though they were fished out of a can of Chef Boyardee's smurfs pasta. They were about the same size. They were also about the same temperature as if they were straight from the can, not cold, but not warm either. By the way, the dishes, were around $16 a piece. They did comp us 1 beer for the wait. I can go on and on but I'm at work and have things to do, like tell everyone in the office not to go here ever and to save their time if they were thinking of going here and toss a 99 cent frozen Banquet pasta and meatballs in the microwave.

Living in Riverfront and working near Coors Field brings me past MP several times a week. I've stopped here for coffee (including when Common Grounds was here) but tonight baby and I were wandering around Lodo trying to decide where to have dinner. Why not give MP a try? We got the arugula salad and the veal linguini along with a couple glasses of wine. We were very happy with the food and the service was great. So why the three stars? There's something not quite right here. There's some kind of identity crisis going on. Is it a coffee shop? A classy place for dinner? It's almost like they're trying to be all things to all people which results in compromises. I can't really be more specific... The furnishing is coffee shop with a tablecloth and fake flowers plopped down for dinner. I just wasn't comfortable. Should you try it out? Absolutely. Good food, not too expensive and maybe you're less fussy than I am.

I wasn't sure what I wanted for lunch today... thought I'd try somewhere new (as I often do). There was a new place up the street called Backcountry Privisions (sandwiches). I checked the menu and it sounded ok... but didn't jump out at me. I thought I'd check out the menu again at Pronto. I passed by it the other day on one of my walks and thought it looked interesting. The menu sounded better than Backcountry, so I ended up eating here at Pronto. There were some specials of the day which sounded fantastic! Tuna salad panini... Mushroom Soup with Truffled Tomato Broth. I got the panini and a side of soup for $9.20. Not bad when you think of all the downtown restaurants. I also took a picture which I will upload. Service was great. The food was so incredibly flavorful. I wasn't sure what to expect with the soup. It had big pieces/whole mushrooms. The broth was just amazing. I really don't know how to describe it. Lots of seasonings. It really went well together. The sandwich was also delicious. The tuna salad was homemade. I think there were sesame seeds, celery, onion, and not sure what else. It was just creamy enough. The sandwich also had watercress and tomato on it. Yum! The flatbread was also tasty... it was heated up on the grill. I highly recommend this place. I'm going to go back to try the pizza.

Meh is the best way to describe Mangiamo Pronto First off, I really want to give this place a higher review. However, when I went there, the food simply was mediocre at best. I ordered the Goat Cheese Ravioli. This was around 15 dollars, and there was only 4 Ravioli on the plate. Seriously? Looking besides the obvious lack of ravioli, the sauce tasted jarred and the bread on the side was day old, stale bread. My girlfriend ordered the Proscitto pizza. This pizza was topped with Apricot jelly. Super cool combination...BUT...the jelly tasted like it was from Smuckers. Simply not worth the price. This may be a good spot to try coffee and cappuccino, but that is about all I would go here for.

I come here at least once a week for a latte and to chat with the friendly staff. Alondra is super attentive and helpful! She's hands-down my favorite barista! I also enjoy the atmosphere, and the breakfast items are my favorite thing on the menu. The prices are a bit steep, but I do enjoy the staff and coffee much much better than going up the street to Common Grounds. If you're looking for a less costly option, the soup and small Caesar salad for $5.35 is a good choice. I'll keep coming back!

I was craving coffee and noticed this place across from the hotel I was staying at. It was much larger than it appeared from the outside and was fairly empty. The Great: very friendly staff at the register, a good coffee (latte). The Average: the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was pretty bland with cliche bistro "antique advertisement" posters everywhere (available at Michael's and Z-Gallery, for your shopping pleasure). The Horrid: while waiting for my coffee I was watching the kitchen staff prepare sandwiches. While the product looked very appealing, the fact that they were touching everything with their bare hands (bread, meat, chips) was rather concerning. There is no chance I would eat here.

I'm so puzzled this place is only 3 stars. One of the rare Yelp exceptions. This is my place go-to place if I need a meal that I know is going to be good and I don;t feel like taking a chance with something new. The pasta is made in house, Carbonara is the best, and I've never had a bad pizza.

The new dinner format and menu is awesome. Still the great food and service I expect at lunch time with a fancier spin for dinner. If you haven't tried dinner here, definitely give it a shot. And lunch is still great too.

I ordered what appeared to be a baked salmon plate. What I got was a warmed smoked salmon sandwich, a terribly salty one. Came with a serving of unremarkable garbanzo beans mixed with celery bits. At $14, this was the most expensive sandwich I've ever had. Same thing (but far tastier) can be had for half that price at Noah's bagels. Even if I simply got the wrong food rather than what I thought I ordered, I wouldn't want that awful sandwich at any price. Unfortunately I ordered to go and didn't find out until I was already back at the office, or I would've returned it to the kitchen pronto.

I went into Pronto for lunch today and it was not good. The staff was nice and friendly, unfortunately, that's where the decent part of this experience ends. The Caesar salad had anchovies sitting on top. Ok, I can deal with this. I took them off. The dressing, however, was so full of anchovy that I couldn't eat it. Now, I'm not a seafood fan, but I do appreciate the depth a little anchovy can add to a Caesar salad. But this was WAY too much. The Margherita pizza was greasy. There was a lot of cheese and some decent tomato pieces, but the crust, while thin, wasn't good. I ended up eating the cheese and tomatoes off the top. So, for $14.60, I got some melted cheese and tomatoes. Blech.

Wow. Let me start with the side of fruit I just ordered, which was very reasonable: $2.15. And, more important, it's the freshest, most perfectly ripe bowl of fruit I can remember getting in Denver. Other cafes don't cut your fruit fresh. It's either been sitting around all morning or it's sourced from Udi's or another caterer. No comparison. I got a great bowl of cantaloupe and strawberries and it couldn't be better. Next, the service was very, very good. Cordial/no attitude grownups working here. Third, it's a very nice room. great tables and the chairs are firm and comfortable. Minor downsides: 1) No WiFi. Not a problem for me, because I have a wireless card, but I think they'd get more business if they had WiFi. 2) It's a bit live, sound-wise. There are no soft surfaces to absorb the sound. Probably intentional, but it'd be nice to have some sound absorbing panels on the ceiling. I can't understand why anyone would choose Common Grounds on the opposite corner over this place, which is about 5 times as nice. Bravo.

This is one of my favorite spots in our LoDo neighborhood. Excellent coffees, delicious food, friendly staff. It's my go-to spot for breakfast or lunch meetings in LoDo. Perfect for a glass of wine or a bite to eat after work. Nice spot for Saturday morning brekky outside. Just remember they're not open on Sundays.

Food is very good, but, they have recently reduced the size of their portions especially the sandwiches so for $9.20 for the portabella sandwich it is not even close to worth it anymore. Too bad because the place is never really crowded at lunch and this will drive even more people away. Still hungry - 6 foot, 174 lbs

First time at Mangiama Pronto today...great atmosphere, friendly service in LoDo. The Muffaletta panini was excellent and definitely recommend this sandwich! Included one of the best pasta salad sides I've had. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

I had been meanging to try this place out for awhile, so we stopped by for lunch this week. I had the muffaletta and my wife had the caprese salad. The bread on my sandwhich was dry and overtoasted, and the meat and olive salad were good but not great. (Jason's Deli makes a much better muffaleta for less) The caprese salad was good quality but probably not worth the price, particularly at lunch. For me, Pronto is a bit overpriced for lunch and the quality does not match that price.

Disclaimer: I've only eaten lunch here. That being said... Panini: stellar, with some creative combinations and lots of non-meat options Espresso: Lavazza, and brewed correctly, so excellent Chocolate chip cookies: Possibly the best I've ever tasted, seriously! Love this place and recommend it highly

I wanted to chime in and say that I'm definately a fan of MP. Every time I've eaten there, I have been impressed with the flavors and the freshness and excellence of the food. I've tried each of the pasta dinner entrees by now and was never disappointed. I'm so suprised that they don't do a bigger dinner business. People, you are missing out on great Italian food at a moderate price if you don't go.

I keep returning, despite being under impressed every time. It is so close to my office... and I would really like to see it improve so it has a chance of succeeding! Pros: Ambiance (great decor and light), Daily Soups, Biscotti, Excellent Coffee - but what coffee shop doesn't open until 7am?! Cons: Salads (pre-made & soggy), Sandwiches (all bread, no filling), Inexperienced/Clueless Register staff, Overpriced ($14 for tea and salad - Tattered cover has 2x the options for 1/2 the price) Owners please take note: Train your staff in basic counter skills/manners, and if you're going to charge your current prices... please improve the food. Everyone wants to feel like they're getting what they pay for.

What can I say, I'm an out of towner and stumbled into this fine establishment. It has everything you could ask for to satiate your desiring palate. For the adventuresome types you must get the JR's pizza - very flavorful italian american fusion and the prosciutto is molto buono! Meatlovers gotta get the Panza Panini (with avocado) and a side of fresh fruit - aka the freshest fruit explosion you'll ever experience in your mouth. Finish it off with a cup of their delicious, robust espresso and you might get swept away into a food-induced vision of cobblestone walkways and moonlit piazzas. You pretty much never have to eat anywhere else again. Oh yeah, and the best part? THE STAFF - we were served with endless smiles and friendly conversation along our charming food journey. Welcome to Denver's best kept secret, people. Mangiamo Pronto! is the future of dining. Can't wait to come back and try the gelato, cheers.

this place is around the corner from my office, so I give it a shot every now and again, but no more. For the third time my arugula salad is all old yellow leaves, not fresh at all. I thought they had service down better, but it was a 20 min wait for a salad. They are the slowest service in town - doesn't matter if you want a quick coffee, tea, pizza or arugula salad - be prepared to wait a REALLY long time - and no one will acknowledge that you've been waiting. Don't waste your time here.

This place is awesome. Try the Hero breakfast sandwich. it's an egg and roast beef panini. Soups change every day: always good, always fresh. This is a little secret in Lodo.

I liked this place when it first opened. It's a little pricey for a quick, casual lunch, but the food is good. Unfortunately, I just finished one of their chicken paninis, and it had huge chunks of fat, gristle, and a big bone in there. It was also dripping in oil. Not quite as yummy as before. I'm hoping this was an isolated incident and not a slip in quality.

The best I can figure from the reviews - Mangiamo Pronto may be a bit inconsistent, but we went on a Friday night, and had a GREAT meal. We started with some bruschetti with cheese and truffle essence, and it was very good. The house pinot noir, was only $5 a glass, so we did not expect much, but it was a very nice, smooth glass of wine. Salads were huge, considering we only got the 1/2 salad to compliment our entrees. They were fresh, good flavors, and not over-dressed. Finally, we both ordered pizza - and both loved them. My sausage and mushroom pizza was very flavorful, with a thin-crispy crust that I really liked, and a sauce that did not dominate the pie, but was VERY good. My wife had the margharita pizza, and loved hers as well. We could not even try dessert, as we were too full, but the case in front had a lot of nice looking pastries that looked worth a try. Our service was pleasant and VERY good - gave informed answers about the menu, and while she did not hover, she checked with us at appropriate intervals. The bill for this very satisfying meal, with appetizer, salads, pizza and wine - under $50 for the two of us. We will definitely give them another try - they are trying to be more than just a lunch place. We think they did a pretty good job of that!

I had the breakfast pizza and it was amazing! It is enough food to feed 2-3 people easily and their coffees are amazing. The price is a little high but worth it.

We chose pronto's from a 5280 recommendation for best new restaurants. The server recommended the veal meatballs w/red sauce which was bland and tasteless. The creamed pesto w/chicken and pasta was tasty. The pizza crust was crispy and the toping of carpaccio was tasty but was a little too sweet. It was topped w/qrugula which was a nice touch. Decor was more fast food like than I had thought. Service was friendly but not very attentive.

We have been wanting to go out to Denver to check this place out for a while following a good review. While the setting was appealing to us, casual, but clean and open, we won't be going back. The two servers there were very attentive and polite. But we really didn't care for the food at all. We ordered a spinach salad as a starter which really got our hopes up. It was fairly well dressed and had some interesting flavors. My wife ordered the goat cheese ravioli and I ordered the margherita pizza. Her ravioli was swimming in a puddle of grease. Though the flavors were tasty, it was just oil laden and heavy. The edges of the ravioli were hard, doughy and undercooked. I had about 3 slices of the small pizza before I couldn't eat any more. The crust was thin and crispy but lacked any flavor. The tomatoes were disproportionately served compared to the globs of cheese. But the worst part was, and this is a huge thing for me, the pizza came out lukewarm. Given the fact that there were only 3 other tables seated and my wife ordered a non-meat dish, it seems like they'd be able to time it better. The cheese had already solidified by the time it got to me and there was a grittiness about it. If the prices were about 30% cheaper, I might say this could compete with Fazoli's, but I'd still say Fazoli's was a better value and had better prepared food. Not saying a lot for them. Such a disappointment.

Went for lunch within the first couple of weeks of their opening. Limited menu but good sized sandwiches for what you pay (I think the panini I had was $10, but it was the size of my head). The menu was lunch-oriented, with sandwiches/paninis, salads and pizza... not your typical Italian fare, though, no spaghetti or anything. Seems they were still ironing out some kinks... we got there at 11:45 am on a weekday and they were out of all their sides, except for two kinds of fancy potato chips (and they mixed up which chips went on which plate). Definitely worth going back, and the neighbourhood needs it with all the other lunch spots closing in recent years (Sugarbeat, Manny's Underground, Il Fornaio...)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
