I hate to do this because the staff is so nice, but I'm kind of over this place. I feel so guilty that I just added another star! But yeah, they've messed up my order a few times now even though I didn't specify anything different than what's already on the menu. Maybe they're downsizing or something, but their taco salads are about half the size they used to be and still the same price. I'm not saying I'll never go there again, but if I do... it'll be due to a whole lot of laziness and that dark, desperate stage of hunger that occasionally drives me to eat whatever's closest.

Let's see.. Mexican food to me, unless home cooked by someone's mother, aunts, or granparents always seems to fall short. I can rarely find great mexican restaurants (doña esthers in San Juan,CA) and this one falls short as well. The food was ok, mole sauce was decent and the enchiladas were edible. But any store bought tortillas really bring a place down a few notches, and in this case, stars. If you are starving and want an alright dish... It's not all that bad. But not a winner in any sense of the word.

I went to Las Delicias for an early afternoon hangover cure... What I found was HORRIBLE service and a chewy steak. I had the Carne Asada. This dish was advertised to be a rib-eye, though I'm fairly sure I received a t-bone. The steak was surprisingly tasty in spite of its tough/chewiness. Overall, the meal exceeded my expectations (though, I generally have very low expectations when ordering steak at places like this). The service had to be some of the worst I have ever experienced. The server was extremely slow and unfriendly. My friend had to ask three times before finally getting what he wanted. I waited ten to fifteen minutes for my change (I hadn't realized that its a pay-at-the-counter joint.) before I had to stand up and hunt the server down. It wasn't even busy in there! Why would somebody like that even make an attempt in the food service profession? It's beyond me... I'm normally pretty easy on servers (I know... you had a bad day, you're busy, etc.), but this was so bad that I cant help but feel like it paints a good portrait of the apparently dreadful management behind this restaurant. The food was acceptable but I will never go back because there are far too many other Mexican joints in Denver.

A friend offered to take me to what he'd heard is a first rate Mexican resaurant. It was about 7:30 PM, I was hungry, it was close....done deal. Smothered beef burrito for me, with slow surly service. The TV was on, waitress didn't want to be disturbed. The food came and looked great. Small problem, though. The "beef" was small chunks of charcoal, capable of breaking storefront windows if thrown well. Every piece. My dog would turn this down. My friends meal, I forget which "delicacy" it was, not much to write home about either. Would like to have complained but did not see said waitress for another 15 minutes. Picked at the smother, went home and had scrambled eggs with green chiles. Never again.

Las Delicias came highly recommended by a local. We went after the dinner rush and were seated immediately. The staff were milling around, having dinner themselves. Waitstaff who eat the food they serve is always a good sign. The decor of this place was neat, new and appealing. Service was so fast it made our head spin. Our waitress did come by 3 times while we were deciding which was mildly annoying. Margaritas arrived within 90seconds of our order. We had pork tamales and chicken mole. Both dishes were served within minutes which means they were already prepared and sitting in the back. The pork tamales were well received. My chicken mole was bland, soupy and not memorable. Definitely not comparable to Benny's. Some tips: If you need mediocre food fast, this is the place for you. The salsa is HOT. Enjoy with caution. Parking is on the street. There's a pay lot across from the restaurant.

This place threw me a bit. Based on its location -- and some other restaurants and bars around the corner -- I was expecting a little more of a hip and happening place. But actually, it more reminds of of a place you'd find in a strip mall. That being said. The food was good. But the atmosphere just wasn't doing it for me.

I miss this place like whoa. Living in Boston now we have nothing, NOTHING that compares to Las Delicias. Yes, I get that it's basically faux mex but who cares? It's consistently good. It does make it hard to get rellanos anywhere though...without the wonton wrappers they're hardly the same. See you next time I'm in town Las Delicias.

Like eating at dennys both from an atmosphere and food standpoint. Even in denver there are much better options.

I was in Denver on vacation and a friend took me here for dinner. It was great (especially for the price)! Portions were huge, prices were low, and the fajitas were both incredibly delicious and supremely spicy. We also had some sopaipillas for dessert: I'd never tried them before but would certainly try them again! If you are looking for a cheap, filling meal in Denver I can unequivocally recommend this place.

This is my go to place for Mexican food. I've never had a bad experience and the food is always amazing!

When i first moved to Colorado i needed a quick place to live while I learned the city so I moved into the complex right next to Las Delicias. I've probably had everything on their menu and can say that about 90% of it is really good 'Tex Mex' style mexican food. It's great. Their breakfast burritos are also really good (and cheap!)

these folks run a tight ship, and it's an interesting hybrid. top notch, smoky-lardy beans, but woeful, gringo fodder tacos (ground beef in a hard shell). great tasting green chile, but phoned-in chips and salsa. rock solid consistency, snappy service, but an environment that is too brightly lit. it has chain-like qualities mixed with corner taqueria qualites. is it among the best in town? hell no, we've got a lot to choose from in denver. but if you live near by, you'll find yourself becoming a fan. it's big, easy, tasty, friendly & consistent - and also a good place to take maladjusted toddlers. get the house special combo: guac tostada, tamale, smothered bean burito, cheese enchilada, taco, side of chile, for under 10 bucks. be patient - a couple trips around the block will eventually yield a decent parking spot...and careful - 19th ave is an autobahn through uptown square...

I really can't believe they call this mexican food. I've been to so many places that are so much better( flavor, portions, price etc.), it's ridiculous. Just go to Tacos DF or one of the many authentic taquerias in Denver for the real stuff.

Dios Mio their Carnitas Nachos are La Bomba! Pair that with a tasty Cazadores Margarita and you are set! $7.95 and you get to keep the Cazadores Margarita Glass What a steal! !Y HOLY FRIJOLES! Honeslty their frijoles are smooth and tasty just like the kind you would find in Mexico. Deelish!

Giving Las Delicias three stars is pushing it. I've been here several times, though out of pure laziness and the lack of Mexican restaurants in the downtown Denver area. Outside of the typical burrito, Las Delicias doesn't have much to offer. The food isn't awful but it isn't great either. Their salsa is pretty good but a lot of their other dishes are just a little off. They also seemed to be better when I went more frequently a few years ago, maybe they are cutting corners and quality in the same shot. It is a family Mexican owned restaurant, a fact which usually lends itself to better authentic food. Not the case with Las Delicias.Maybe grandma needs to get back in the kitchen.

I've been going to LD with friends for many years. I love the chicken burritos; they're so good that I've never bothered to try anything else. Fast and friendly service, and inexpensive.

I grew up with true Mexican food, being raised 4 hours from the border in Phoenix, AZ. I moved to Denver in 2002 and until I found this restaurant, could not find authentic Mexican anywhere I looked..... just Tex Mex or bland Americanized Mexican food. I love this restaurant; it's as close to the restaurants back home as I can find in this city.

    (4)
  • Chip L.

They used to be fantastic, but that passed many years ago and now it's just plain awful. They should have more pride in what they serve and it's obvious they don't. Their refried beans, however, are still really good.

Just relocated to Denver from NY. Boy this little dive blows every mexican/tex-mex place in NY away. Prices were good too. Gave it a 5......maybe because I'm new to the area and haven't had a lot of good tex-mex yet. All I know is I want more!

  • Kristi M.

Did not like this place. We live across the street, so the fact that the service wanted us "in and out" quickly didn't upset us too much - but had we made an effort to come here, it would have been very disappointing. They charge you for additional baskets of chips after your first is finished, which we didn't need since the salsa was NO good. Food was just ok, no veggie options. Would not go back.

Since I moved to Denver from So. Cal it's taken me a long time to find a decent Mexican restaurant. Las Delicias is exactly what I've been missing. Love the fact that even though it is in the newer Uptown area, when you walk in I get the feeling of being in a little divey Mexican joint back home. The food isn't amazing but everything we've tried there has never disappointed us. Finally a place that not only has great salsa but it's one of the only places I've eaten where they don't smother everything in green chili...God I hate that stuff.

Whoa nelly! I question whether or not some people bring their taste buds with them when they patron this joint. I cannot write a full review as I didn't have a full meal at this establishment - but it was completely not up to par in my book. The only reason I rated it two stars was because of the waitress that greeted us. She was so sweet. It all started off with the most bland salsa. I mean, I think it was a jar of stewed tomatoes and onions. That's all I could decipher from the lack of flavor. Next, we ordered margaritas that tasted like a jar of soured sweet and sour (if there is such a thing!). We then decided to order some guacamole and chips. Now, I LOVE guacamole...so I might be a hard sell. But, when the guac looks like it's radiating kryptonite and resembles the texture of Elmer's Glue, I have to say that guacamole is no good. It was at this point that we politely asked for our check and walked up to the cash register (a very nice lady greeted us at the register as well) to pay. We left our waitress a very nice tip - but couldn't denote a dime of that to the food we ordered. Perhaps, JUST perhaps I would go again - but no guacamole and margaritas. It's going to be straight to the tacos, enchiladas, etc. All in all, not impressed and not likely to go back.

hadnt been here since 07. the food was good then. we decided to try it for lunch; nice thing? they have there parking lot across the street so you endless parking spot is over. the wait was nothing we were seated right away. they have remodeled this since 07 nice decor nice mural of denver on the back wall. service? was ok. it took awhile for our food. we started out with nachos. they were ok they didnt have enough cheese. acutually i dont recall seeing cheese. the portions are small. you wouldve thought you were at the dollar scoop. minus half the scoop. the lemonade was watery. i stole my hubbys lemon from his tea to put in my glass. the food was not as good as i remembered it from years ago. guess its a great place to go for those who want drinks. and dont care about the food. i was not pleased with the food. ask for ice water and you get a glass of water no ice. go back? i think i will pass. thank you.

  • Stacey B.

yeah, i expected more from this place since a couple of people i know had talked it up quite a bit. the margaritas were ok in strength, but lacking in flavor. the top shelf even tasted just like taking a swig from store bought sweet and sour mix. sick. and the salsa!? what is up with the salsa? i have never in my life had such horrible stuff to dip my chips in. it was like they were running out and added water to it to make it stretch further. if you dip your chip and all you get is a thin reddish coat and possibly a tiny bit of onion, if you're lucky, a piece of tomato, there's something seriously wrong with that. we also ordered guacamole. not guac salad mind you, but it still came with shredded lettuce in it. wtf? i ordered some french fries as well because i needed something with substance to go with the margarita. i would have gotten a bean burrito or something, but the beans here have lard in them, so does the green chili. boo.

I had a great, satisfying lunch here today! Ole! My co-workers headed over around 11 AM, luckily we beat the lunch time rush and got seated right away with 7 people. This place definitely is trying to go for the authentic Mexican vibe (think: 3 Margaritas decor) and the menu is GIANT!! If I hadn't looked at the menu beforehand, I would probably still be there trying to decide what to eat. It's pretty standard Mexican type of food though, no "modern cuisine" here. Burritos, tacos, nachos, etc. Which I don't mind! I got a steak smothered burrito which, again, was GIANT! The steak was a little tough to my liking, but everything else was satisfactory. The service was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly and eager to help. Someone at my table spilled there water and I swear within 15 seconds there were 3 people assisting with the clean up. We easily kept our lunch within an hour to get back to our office to get back to work! You pay up front and my bill was under $10, even with an additional side of guacamole that I ordered. I look forward to coming back for a quick Mexican lunch! Hopefully next time I can try a margarita as well! Thanks for kickin' it old school, Las Delicias!

Not great, not terrible. I feel like this place fell very in the middle of the mark, but there are so many Mexican restaurants nearby that I doubt I'll be returning. The margarita pitcher is fair priced, and when they bring it out, they bring the glasses already full in addition to the full pitcher, basically giving you an extra round with I appreciated. Though, they were a bit bitter/sweet for my preference, I enjoyed it. The service, however, was lacking. There were few people in the restaurant last night so I figure it couldn't have been that hard to care for each customer. After ordering the drinks, my friend and I sat for about 30 minutes before getting service. It got to the point I had to walk up to the front to find someone and no one was even there! I circled the restaurant and returned to my table for an additional five minutes to then have the waitress stumble out of the kitchen, but even then, she acknowledged me waving to her then walked up to the front for about 7 minutes before coming back to the table. Once we finally ordered, the food did come out fairly quickly, but it wasn't anything to boast. Honestly, if you just want tacos and some GREAT margs, you're better off going diagonally across the street.

  • Deya Z.

Meh. that's my initial reaction to this place. The portion sizes are huge, and that was for a regular nachos order. Now, let's break this down layer by layer...The chips- not sure how they bake them but they were a little burnt on the end, not my taste. The beans - canned, maybe? Ample cheese and sour cream- yum! The toppings were a dead give away that this is a Colo-Mex place...because the chips were smothered! (and I'm not a fan...no bueno) The salsa was watery and heavy on the onions. Spicy? No. I'm not going to go on a stretch and call this "Authentic Mexican"; it's decent at best. As a Tex-Mex (heavy on the Mex), it's hard to compare anything Colorado has to offer to home. But it's ok, if you're hungry.

Had lunch by myself there today & it was awesome! Relleno was huge, cheese enchilada was good but I have to say the non-homemade taco shell was soggy & fell apart quickly. Service was great - had my nice hot food in less than 5 minutes after ordering. Was in & out of there in 30 minutes. Well worth it & definitely going back!

This place is great!!! Many of these reviewers on yelp are idiots...I've been coming here for 13 years and the food is always delicious. The staff isn't bad either, I am very glad I moved nearby here again! It's a goto once a week.

I used to come here a lot with my parents and family as a kid. Always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food has never been disappointing. I brought my grandma here a couple of weeks ago and its still just as good as it was then. Always enjoy coming back here.

Overall we enjoyed our experience at Las Delcias. The food is on par with decent 'sloppy' Mexican food restaurant. The service was outstanding, salsa was good and the green chili was good. Affordable and decent Mexican.

4 stars for some rockin' nachos I am a sour cream fiend, I have been since birth. This place caters to this fact quite well, no need to order extra! But if you do you'll end up with a bowl sized portion of it. I was at work craving nachos and decided to pick a place close by. I ordered the 'super nachos' with chicken, chips on the side. When they arrived via 'nice friend' who picked them up for me, my stomach got so excited. The contents of the aluminum container were beautiful and basically smothered in sour cream and tasty guacamole, this was a perfect rendition of the classic snack. The shredded chicken was aplenty, and the layer of refried beans on the bottom were seasoned very nicely. The house salsa is also pretty good with a nice amount of heat. I know where to find a nice bowl of nacho goodness the next time I have a hankering, even when I am not at work!

Las Delicias has tasty traditional mexican food, and very reasonable prices. The five stars is based on quality for the price. They have $9 pitchers of Modelo Especial, XX Amber, or Bud Light all day. For HH, $1.75 drafts, $3.50 margaritas and wine (2-5 pm every day). There are three-item combos for 8-9 dollars. Try the chile cheese fries for an appetizer. They're $4.50, feed 3-4, and are delicious. Their chile is pretty damn good - they have vegetarian green, vegetarian red, and pork green chiles. The wait staff are very nice, and check back often. The one complaint would be that water refills are infrequent. But service is very good overall.

Took my family here when they came to visit me in Denver for the holidays. After a long road trip, they we're looking for something "quick and easy, with cheap beer." Within walking distance of my home, figured Las Delicias would be a good option. Turned out to be a great decision. Friendly service, solid happy hour beer specials, and tasty food. This place was so satisfying that my family insisted we go back for dinner the following night.

I don't usually dine in to eat, but I do often take out here. I am a nearby resident and order out from here once or twice a week. The food is tasty and consistent. Also the front end staff is friendly and welcoming. If you live in the area I would recommend trying them out. Favorite menu items: 1. Tostadas. 2. Ranchero Burrito.

I have eaten at a few of the Las Delicias that are around Denver and the surrounding areas. They are good but not great. They offer what I call Americanized Mexican comfort food. The tacos are good, crunchy and spicy. My friend always orders the cheese enchiladas. They are usually good, nothing earth shattering about them. The best part of every Las Delicias I have been to is the warm tortilla chips and the salsa. They have a very good salsa.

At this point I would give this place a negative 4 stars. I originally went here to get some food after moving right down the street. I like many others have been to other las delicious and it was always great service and great quality. After moving, I sat down to eat with my family and waited 45 min to get water and chips and salsa and other 15 min just to get my food order. When we finally got the food it was good until I ate it about half way through and found a hair in my rice and beans. Disgusted I stopped eating it and told the waitress and she just took it away without an apology. Than I get another plate of food (which I didn't ask for) told her I didn't not want the food. She persisted to put it on the bill because she made another one. So I talked to the manager and she said since I got another plate they won't take it off. So I paid while being overly irritated and just left Because it is so conveniently located my girlfriend went to pick up food to go. I ordered something totally different. Started eating and found another hair. I proceeded to call and the lady on the phone said oh sorry and hung up the phone. NEVER EVER GO HERE!!!!

absolutely amazing. i live in the building across the street and always saw a steady stream of people going in and out, regardless of the day so i had to try it. and i have been a regular since. they typically get takeout orders ready in less than 10 minutes which you cannot beat at amazing prices. service is always super friendly from the greeter, to the wait staff, to the busboys. do not forget to order churros to take home :)

I ordered two breakfast burritos for take out. The restaurant offers a selection of choices to personalize your burrito. I ordered two chorizo burritos, not smothered, in tin foil, with green chile in the side. Instead, I got to smothered burritos in a box with something other than green chile in the side. Okay, not a huge deal. I got home, scraped off the goop, and rolled it in tin foil. It was fine until I started chewing a LARGE EGGSHELLS. On further inspection of the burrito, my meal was speckled with crunchy egg shells. Very disappointing.

I've been to Las Delicias a few times. It has always been good, but not amazing. The food was always fine, but not spectacular. The service has always been up to par, but not above-and-beyond. If you are looking for a quick Mexican meal, the portions are reasonable and the costs are reasonable. If you want something special, I would look elsewhere.

I was really disappointed with the food, service and management at this location. We normally dine at the Conifer location and thought we'd give this downtown location a try. Our service was meh from the moment we walked in. It was slow and they had more workers sitting and chatting then working. When we received our food it was slightly warm and mine and my husband's meal was burnt. We ordered Mexican hamburgers like always and the patties inside were thin, unseasoned and burnt. I didn't realize this until after 2-3 bites later. I brought it to the waitress attention and she said she would let the cooks know then walked away. I didn't finish my meal and when she came back she asked if we wanted our check. We said yes with hopes they would make it right, considering I ate maybe half. The check reflected a full check and I asked if she thought it was right I pay for a meal I didn't eat due to it being burnt. She said "Well I told the cooks and they said it was a new seasoning" I laughed and said it was burnt and she agreed. I asked that she let the manager know. She grabbed the check, come back and said they took half off my meal since I ate half. WOW if that's their idea of taking care of their customers they can count on me and my family never coming back!! I left bummed and hungry.

I LOVE this place. It's my favorite Mexican restaurant. I've been going there for years. I haven't lived in Denver for quite some time, but every time I come back, I want to go to Las Delicias! They have expanded since I've lived here, but I only go to the original downtown location. Parking is a challenge, but don't let that stop you. It's easy to find street parking if you don't mind walking a couple blocks...that way you can burn off a few calories both before and after dinner...and you'll need to!....and it's worth every calorie!!

The prices here are reasonable and the portions are quite big. The food is tasty and the servers are attentive. The salsa that come with the complimentary chips is pretty good. I am not sure if they make it in-house but it was good either way. My steak and eggs breakfast was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because the rib eye that comes with this meal looked like it has seen better days but it tasted great. So not as appealing as I would like visually but tastes great. The food around the entire table looked good (there were 5 of us and all ordered something different). Most of us took part of our meal to-go as the portions are quite large. The one big negative that my girlfriend and I hated was her burrito. She thought she was ordering carnitas but what came out was a a bean burrito with deep-fried pig skin! It was the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten! Stay away from this gross creation. I took a bite of it to try it out, she took a bite to try it and that was the last of the action that burrito saw from us. Nasty. Otherwise, this place is just fine if you happen to be in the neighborhood and want to grab some Mexican.

Can there be too much sauce & cheese? I didn't used to think so. I ordered the shredded beef burrito & scraped off like a pound of cheddar, and there was still plenty. I am new here, and I get that Coloradans are into this green chili thing, but the meat inside was so flavorful already, there was no need to drown it in that sh*t. But... the chips & salsa is bomb! You can taste the oregano & super fresh. I will try the fajitas next time! Servers were on the ball and the price was right.

I really wanted to like this place because a friend suggested it, but immediately after being seated and ordering our drinks we noticed a cockroach on the wall. After moving out of LA several years ago, we had to do a double take. We still ordered top shelf margaritas (which were overly sweetened to the point of tastelessness) and our entrees (the chicken mole lacked so much that I'm biting my tongue; the best thing on my plate was the rice, which I dosed with Tapatio). The staff was fine, but the ambience and flavor fell short of what we were hoping for. This place will do fine for any late night munchies when your taste buds are shot.... :-(

Date(s) visited: about 6 times. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Price: 5/5 Parking: (?) This is a place I have been able to eat at almost everyday for breakfast! :) Food: Their salsa is good. I've also tried their Chicken Mole which I enjoyed (although I wished it as not on the bone and served shredded). There is something here about their green chili sauce that is just scrumptious and just very tasty. Service: Very friendly, service with a smile, and the manager is very nice and will always greet and talk to the customers. I had one instance where I needed my burrito to be heated up more to my liking (the middle was just a little "warm" and not hot. I am one to send back my food if it's not up to the right temperature). The lady there quickly took my food back and replaced it with a new order and was very cheerful about it. Atmosphere: The only thing I did not like was how stuffy I felt in the late morning eating there because the air conditioner was off. Other that that, it is a very clean establishment with a nice looking eating area. Restrooms are also very clean! There are lots of magazines and newspapers provided to customers to read while waiting for their food. Price: I eat a breakfast burrito with coffee here (with FREE salsa and chips) which only totals out to be exactly $6.16. They offer a good sized helping of food for all of their plates!

Very enjoyable Mexican food. If you like your Mexican smothered ....you'll lov it! Big combinations at lunch time prices. (The fried chili rellenos are....ok). Very tasty salsa and a bit on the heat which I prefer to the bland tomato found most places. Also... Chips are warm and made yellow corn rather than horrid white found in chain restaurants. Margs. are tasty and strong though.... The glasses are smaller than usual. If your in a party of 3... go for the pitcher (and get the better tiquella, life is short!) Staff is friendly and efficient.... Seemingly, Serving within minutes of ordering.

Here's the business - I am a Southern Californian searching desperately for California Mexican food in Colorado. So far, nothing here in Colorado compares to the SoCal taco stand. Nothing. (If you know anyplace - please hook me up). Las Delicias was good, but everything is smothered in sauces which makes it tough to really distinguish between flavors. I had a #7 (basically one of everything). Here 's the breakdown: Crispy Chili Relleno was OK. It tasted like fried food covered with green chili sauce (not spicy). Cheese Enchilada was Meh. It seemed to be missing the cheese and all I could taste was green chili sauce. Also, why was there no Cotija cheese on my plate? Beef Taco was gross. It was in a pre-made taco shell (shame) and was soggy by the time I got to it. The beef reminded me of Taco Bell which is far from appetizing. At least the diced tomatoes on top were nice. Guacamole Tostada was OK. The guacamole was surprisingly delicious (the best I've had so far in Colorado) but the tostada itself was stale. My friend had a steak burrito (uh, hello? Carne asada please!) and said it was delicious. Again, it was smothered in sauciness and was NOT very big (even though she insisted she couldn't eat it all. Wuss). In case you don't know, a SoCal Carne Asada burrito is bigger than your face. I'm giving two stars because it was OK Mexican food but not the best I've had in Colorado. It just doesn't compare AT ALL to what I know and love out of SoCal. That said, my most favorite part of this experience was listening to everyone trying to pronounce the names of the dishes. Chicharones was incredibly hilarious.

"A-OK" is a pretty accurate description of this place. If they are not busy (which they're usually not), your food will arrive about 5 minutes after you order. Even if you have a party of 9! Their salsa is a little hot for my taste, but it's probably a good thing because it keeps me from downing the chips before my meal. Prices are very reasonable; some of their combination platters come out on two plates and are $8. Most of the food is average, but the crispy chili rellenos are below average (unless you like them soggy - the filling isn't bad). Service is friendly and prompt. You pay at the counter up front so it's easy to split the check with a large party. They do have some gluten free options; you can order tacos!

Salsa was great, and the food was pretty good. Nothing was bad, but I am pretty picky about my Mexican food. If you are craving Mexican food, this will fill your craving. Very nice servers!

When you dine in, its definitely worth 3+ stars but when ordering out, the part was that tamales, 2 orders + pork belly burrito came out in under 7 minutes, but as i walked my 3 minutes home, and sat down for dinner.. i can tell that tamales was made yesterday, pork inside the burrito was like chewing on rocks... and when pulling the food out of the bag, i had a strong smell of mold/mildew ... i had 2 bites, burrito, tamale and passed it down to my dog... i hate writing a review like this for a restaurant that used to be fantastic in both take out and dining in .... a little sad...

How can I say this gently... this place was bad. Not just regular, "you took too long" or "there is a hair in my food" bad, but BAD. First big red flag of a Mexican restaurant - The inside seems more fitting for an IHOP or Denny's sort of place. Second red flag - after ordering, our food was brought out in less than 5 minutes. Now, this may sound like a good thing but ,if you think about it, it most certainly is not. Did they have time to fry my tostada fresh and melt the cheese? Nope. After getting my food I could instantly tell something was wrong. The tostada was almost certainly pulled straight from a Ortega box and slapped on the plate cold. Piled on top was a thin layer of microwaved re-fried beans from a can all topped with some sliced iceberg lettuce with a few under-ripe tomato pieces for seasoning. The rice was bland and on the cold side. The cheese was not melted. My wife ordered chili rellenos. They were indescribably bad. I'm not even sure there was a chili of any sort in them. It was this almost flat mess of goop. Upon first cutting into them, they appeared to be almost completely made of egg. Inside, however appeared to be two partially fried things that had two different color types of cheese in them. I don't even KNOW what that was. Their staff was pleasant and the old woman at the counter was cute. I have heard their other locations are good but dear god this one is bad. Please do yourself a favor and walk three blocks to La Pasadita Inn at the corner of Clarkson and 20th and have a much much better meal.

I ordered the #7 large portion, guacamole tostada, crispy chili rellano, taco and chees enchilada. Very good. The bean and cheese burritos with green chili inside is good too. Nice atmosphere with a lot of tvs everywhere

Three stars is exactly right for Las Delicias, an East Denver Mexican restaurant that I go to often only because it's so close by and better Mexican restaurants are a bit farther afield in west and north Denver than my carless self can regularly get to. But it's fine food at Las Delicias. It has pretty descent green chili like every Colorado-style Mexican place does and the food usually leaves me satisfied. It's not fantastic though. The salsa in particular is quite weak--poured from large plastic pitchers--I'm pretty sure it is from a can or jar. The guacamole definitely dilutes its avocado with sour cream (although that is more common in Mexican restaurants than most people realize). The green chili is pretty average for Denver and the burritos and grilled meats are typical of Mexican restaurants. Although the chicharonnes are almost always overcooked and dry here. Service has always been friendly and efficient. The space is very long which means there is very little wait. No complaints there. Yeah three stars is about right. And it's just good enough for me to be a local regular.

Ok, so maybe I'm a mexican food snob. Or maybe I don't know my mexican food. Although, I find that super hard to believe. Anyways, this place is alright. If I were looking for a mexican restaurant in this area, I would walk a few extra blocks and go to La Pasadita Inn. Now that is some banging mexican food. As far as Las Delicias, it is hideous on the inside. They did have a large menu and it is cheap, but that's not hard to find. There are a wealth of restaurants in this area, I would not bother with this one.

I just ordered take out for lunch, and what I got is annoying, frustrating, and not what was on the menu. I ordered the Chicken Tostadas and what an awful soggy mess! First, the person on the phone had no idea what I was talking about so of course I didn't get the meal listed on the menu, just three random tostadas. They did not have sour cream or guacamole as the menu claimed because of this. In fact, they weren't even worthy of a proper to go container, but were thrown sloppily into some paper envelopes that disintegrated before I made the 5 minutes trip home. There was WAY too much cheap gross lettuce and the chicken was soupy and flavorless. Either way, I paid for a soggy mess I can't eat and I won't be going back.

Ahhh, this place is sooo great! Had a bomb chicken mole enchilada and $4 mimosas yesterday, and they were delicious!! Bonus: FIFTY FIVE CENT GUACAMOLE! Big *HAPPY DANCE* (that's not even 1/3 of what extra guac costs at Chipotle)! :)

Las Delicias has always been on my list for speedy service, consistently decent food, generous portions and nice service. The menu is large and offers many choices. The chips and salsa that come out as soon as you take a seat are quite tasty. If you aren't drinking alcohol, there's a good chance your check will be less than $10. A few evenings ago, I had a large group meeting at the restaurant. The servers immediately made a table large enough for us, greeted each person as they walked in and took a drink order. Though food was ordered at different times, they made sure that we received it all at once. They will not split the checks at the table, but it was very simple to do so up front.

I realize Las Delicias has been a Denver institution for many years, but I honestly don't know why. There is nothing special or unique about the food here at all. It's not bad, but there is far better Mexican food out there.

This place is my guilty pleasure. The service is great, the food is decent, and the salsa is incredible. A word of warning though, watch out for the other locations. I've had horrible food and service at the other ones I've tried.

I only give this place 2 stars for the price and the service. It was inexpensive and our server was nice. If this were just about the food it would be 1 star. It is just cheap bland "Mexican" food. I won't be coming back. If you like American cheese, lard free refried beans and green chili in large portions as well as an infinite number of ways to slop those 3 ingredients together this might be the place for you. It's just not my cup of tea.

I really enjoy Las Delicias, and we come to this location the most. There is more than enough parking across the street, and we've never really had to wait for a table. I don't know if we go during less busy times, but it seems like there's always a fair amount of people there. The chips and salsa are good. I really like their green chili, and every plate I've had has been good. The service has been good every time we've went, and we leave satisfied. We live in Golden, but it's worth the drive to come back here.

Since moving to LoDo/Denver, I've looked (walking distance from downtown) for a Mexican delicacy, I then found Las Delicias! It was good for the closest authentic Mexican food to downtown. Filled me up! Large portions, plate full of your desired entree plus refried beans, lettuce, sour cream, and their famous red or green sauce. Margaritas here are mmmmmm good! And cheap! Over all price is affordable ($-$$). Located in Uptown, surroundings are safe and is near upscale condominiums and apt bldgs. The restaurant from the outside needs a little TLC to the windows, it looks like its been tagged up. Don't be alarmed, it's a safe neighborhood, just ignorant taggers. Inside it reminded me of a 80s cafe, with tan seating, and Aztec art, with silk floral arrangements. "Abuela" (Grandma in Spanish) usually greets you in the front. Ignore her frown, she's probably burnt out. You're then seated in comfy sofa like seating with flat screens everywhere. Usually they have the current sports game on. Their very happy to change the channel if you ask nicely. The waitstaff is very warm and courteous. Don't be scared to respond with a "Gracias or Denada" Go try this restaurant, your tummy will thank you.

Went to this place for the first time last Sat. night. It was super busy even early at 5:30. Usually a good sign. We waited maybe 15 min. Let me just preface this with the fact that I moved here from San Diego 2 1/2 yrs ago & this was by far the best Mexican food I've found in the Denver metro. It was excellent. I will be back to get my fix. Coming from California where we have great Mexican food one very corner It's been hard finding some place here. Thank god my friend took me here. Loved it!!

What the hell happened to Las Delicias!? I've been going here since 1995 but had not been in the past year. They changed the decor which was a good thing, not that it's anything to brag about. The food was salty, greasy and tasteless. Green chili could have been chicken gravy, pureed beans? No taste except salt. Beans smelled like burnt rubber. The only thing good was my diet Pepsi. I asked for a to go cup. She accidently dropped the top as she was waking to the table, kicked it then picked it up and handed it to me. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuu. Disgusting.

This place has mastered the art of speedy turnaround. From the time we placed our order at the table until the time our food showed up at the table had to have been between 2 and 4 minutes. It was as if the waitress was mic'd up to the kitchen. Conspiracy? Perhaps. But the food was pretty standard Denver Mexican food. Nothing really stood out for me as a Mexican food fanatic, but nothing disappointed me either.. I got exactly what I expected in an amazing turnaround time. Keep it up.

I don't speak Spanish but I think that means it delicious? :O) We were down on 16th st mall and had some time to kill before a movie. I had a hankering for some good Mexican food and so it was suggested that we go to Las Delicias. It wasn't too far to hoof it so we were there in about 10 mins and got seated straight away. I ordered the 3 Chicken Burritos smothered in cheese and they were stuffed with loads of White shredded chicken. I should of got a combo meal as I was tired of eating them after two but they were very good and I look forward to trying something else next time I go back :o) The service was fast and friendly with cheap prices so ya cant go wrong!

Let's keep this one simple - Las Delicias has fantastic and authentic Mexican food that's crazy cheap and delicious. The chile rellenos are the best I've ever had. They're so good I'm pissed I ordered a combo plate that didn't just have three of 'em. The place is huge, the service is fast, and you're almost guaranteed to walk away stuffed.

I have been going to this place for the past 5 years and dig it. What Las Delicias is all about -Authentic Mexican at reasonable prices -Friendly service -Super quick dinning. I have never waited longer than 5-10 minutes for food. -Large enough that I have never had to wait for a table -Great location -Good place for a family dinner -Come as you are What Las Delicias is not -A chain with homogenized Mexican food -Uber fancy

Went here to pick up dinner while visiting a relative in the area, so we picked up an order to go. I ordered of course the chile rellano burrito because it is my mission to try one at every Mexican restaurant in the city. Here however the burrito was small along with the rellano inside. Was not as spicy as I thought. Also got a cheese enchilada to go. Also not as good as I hoped it would be. But the food was brought out super fast. And the ladies working there were very nice. A little overpriced for their Mexican food. The green sauce served over the burrito was not hot at all. So if you want something hot you are probably going to have to ask for it because I didn't get it. Could have used more lettuce and tomato on my burrito. But overall good.

Unfortunately I have to eat here since it is close to home and my out of town family always wants to go, but it is not worth it. The food is edible, but not very good. The staff is always great and very friendly. Chips and Salsa make me want to vomit. The upside is that they do have tv's and I can check out the sports. We also usually go in with 10-12 people and have never had a problem sitting together. Good place for groups I guess. I prefer to walk 3 more blocks to La Pasadita. Much better food for same price. Provecho!!! if you want to...

After living within 2 blocks of this place for 10 months, we finally decided to give Las Delicias a try. After a good, long hike Sunday morning, we felt that we'd earned some good, cheap Mexican food for dinner. Well, lucky for us, it was good! We arrived around 6p or so, and the place was pretty busy. Not packed, but there were lots of diners. The joint is very non-descript-diner-y feeling, but it also felt homey. We got a booth all the way in the back, next to a fantastic hand-painted mural of Denver that took up the entire width of the dining room! Very cool. The pitcher of margaritas we got was... average. I thought it tasted a bit like sweet and sour, with not enough tequila/triple sec flavor, but the boy liked it better than I did. I was definitely disappointed, though, since I was hoping to find a fantastic place for margaritas so close to home. The basket of chips was not bad... not warm or anything. And the salsa wasn't anything to write home about. We were starting to tear through the basket pretty quickly, until I noticed in the menu that a refill of chips was $1. So we slowed down. Not a huge deal, but really? $1? The food: good, basic, solid Mexican food. The menu had just about every combination of basic Mexican dishes you could want: tacos, flautas, burritos, etc. I got the mixed enchiladas, which were very yummy; the boy got some smothered beef burritos (which were not quite as good as my enchiladas), and our friend got the Chicken Mole (in which the mole tasted decidedly un-like shoes, which is always a good thing in my book). She liked it a lot, but she said the sauce could have been a bit more chocolate-y. Meals came with rice and beans, which were also good. All in all, a good, solid Mexican food meal. We couldn't help expressing how much we still missed our favorite Mexican joints back in Chicago, though. I don't think I'll necessarily recommend this place, and I'm not super excited to go back, but I definitely think we will return when the hankering for good, cheap eats within a 5 minute walk hits us again.

Do you know those places you pass by daily, but have never been to? Las Delicias is that place for me. I have lived one block from here for 8 months and never had the urge to eat there. The parking lot is always full on the weekends...it's a big parking lot, you'll never have to drive to find a place, it's huge! Even with all of these patrons, I just never had to want, UNTIL LAST NIGHT! I didn't actually eat there, but I called in for a to-go order and was very satisfied. It only took 10 minutes, as most Mexican restaurants do. It was busy inside, so it actually took longer to pay than to wait for my food. As far as to-go goes, my tamale dinner [#22] with nice and hot. The container was the aluminum type with a circular cardboard top with the aluminum curled over the edges, perfect for putting in the oven to reheat - [not to microwave]. I had one tortilla wrapped in tinfoil laying on top when I opened the bag...just the way I like it. My tamales were mouth watering, the rice was just right and the beans were a bit runny, but over all I gobbled it all up with the salsa on top. My $7.00 meal was filling. My to-go was better than expected. Las Delicias pulled me in and I'm going to do a sit down next week, maybe invite some friends to eat it up with me.

A few years ago, I was a vendor for this place. The location up by 74th is cleaner than most hospital operating rooms. I did pest management and never had an issue with mice or roaches...typically found in Mexican food joints. The reason they prepare food in a few minutes...is their kitchen design is extremely efficient. One of the best run businesses for a restaurant I have ever seen. The food is good...people are very hard working...no employee turnover because they treat their employees well. I am telling you...this is one of the few ethnic restaurants you can safely eat at!

This place is terrible. In every way. Just returned from lunch at this spot, where I got food to go. The guy at the register was friendly enough, but was obviously not paying attention. Three chicken tacos on corn tortillas came out as two ground beef tacos on flour, and one hard shell ground beef taco. We probably reviewed / repeated my order about 4 times before he put the order in. When I opened up the to-go plate, the tacos were soggy and wet. I picked one up and the hard shell taco ripped in half, spilling the contents back into the plate. I ended up eating them with a spork. Mind you, this wasn't 10 minutes after they'd come out of the kitchen (so they hadn't sat around long and sogged through). All in all, won't be going back. If you're looking for great tacos, head to Santa Fe or head out 38th. If you're looking for cheap, crappy mexican food I'd go to Taco Bell over this spot.

This family-owned restaurant has the best Mexican food that we've found near our home in Capitol Hill. The food is always hot and tasty (I'd highly recommend their crispy rellenos!) and the portions for the money is great (we typically walk out spending less than $25 for the two of us). We've eaten at this location and the one on Colorado blvd and this one, by far, has better/friendlier service and the food seems a tad better as well. If I had to complain about ANYTHING just to keep this "fair and balanced", I'd say that it would be nice if they'd automatically give you a knife with the crispy rellenos. They're a bit tough to get through with just a fork.

Great quick and easy lunch! Got to restaurant on a Thursday about 11:30 am, was able to find parking in the lot right across the street (BIG plus for Denver restaurant), and we were seated right away. Place was somewhat empty when we got there, but by the time we left at 12:15, it was packed. Ordered the #7 Combo, which included a chili rellano, cheese enchilada, guac tostada and beef taco, although I sub'd for a guac taco (veggie option.) Our order literally took FIVE mins to show up and was a welcome surprise. Everything was hot and good, the rellano was crispy and the green chili was just the right amount of spice. Great quick and easy meal for $8. I was even able to quickly get a burrito order I had forgotten to order when we got there for my co-worker back at the office, and the server helped me make the better cost decision (3 burritos for the price of 2). All in all, great place to grab a quick and yummy lunch!

Cheap and great Mexican food, great portions. They have recently remolded the inside, new tables, chairs, paint. They used to have a lot of murals on the walls throughout the restaurant, now just have one left at the far end of the dining room. The chips and salsa are plentiful, refilled quickly if you destroy the first basket. Can't do anything but say good things about the food and the prices.

My husband and I have been going to Las Delicias II for years. We love Mexican food, and have tried several other places, but always return to Las Delicias. The food is so good. I mean, I just haven't had Mexican food anywhere else (even in San Diego) that I like as much as I like Las Delicias'. Everything I've had is amazing, but their chile relleno is really phenomenal, and their green chili is so incredibly delicious! Not only is the food good, but the service is great. In years and years of regularly going there, I've only had my order messed up once. The food is served lighting-quick. The servers are friendly. And you just can't beat the cost. We typically each order a combo meal, and my husband gets a soda, and I usually just drink water. Before tip, our bill is typically around $18, which is about half of what we'd pay at most other local Mexican restaurants. I can't imagine we'll ever stop going to Las Delicias II. I love it!

When I moved in across the street from this place, I was really excited to have mexican food so close. Unfortunately, the food here is terrible. Absolutely horrendous. Pretty much everything I ate tasted like it came from a can, and given the fact that I received my food about 30 seconds after ordering, I wouldn't be surprised. I ordered the enchiladas, and my husband ordered the chile verde...everything was salty and gross. If you have any clue what authentic mexican food is supposed to taste like, pass on this joint.

I have been dining at Las Delicias on 19th and Penn since the Fall of 1982, and this is my benchmark restaurant for the Southern Colorado/New Mexico style. I'm from a small town in SE Colorado where if one went out to dinner at all (which was very rare) the options were either Steakhouse (this was Beef Country) or Mexican. That's it. The Mexican food where I grew up was exclusively of the southern Colorado/New Mexico variety where green chili is more of a hearty, pork-based stew with onions, tomatoes, oregano and chili and which goes with everything. Las Delicias is the standard by which I judge other New Mexico style restaurants and they have never failed to deliver exactly what I need in a straight-forward, no frills way. Everything from the green chili to the refried beans (deeply flavored and creamy) is outstanding. Try the Carnitas Michoacan; a slow-braised pork roast with onions that will forever change your life. The only way they could be better is if there was bar seating for those occasions when one must dine alone 'cause you need a Deluxe Cheese Enchilada Plate (#26) and no time to arrange an escort.

Las Delicias is the place that my husband and I go for a quick, inexpensive dinner or for that Sunday morning breakfast burrito. The food is reasonably priced as are the drinks. I lived right around the corner from it for nearly 7 years before I went--I don't know why. I think that some of the highlights on the menu include the taquitos al carbon, the carne adovada, and the number 2 or 3 combos. I really love their tacos, not because they are particularly authentic but because the shell is perfectly crunchy and the meat is well-seasoned. One last tip is that even though the menu doesn't list it, you can order your breakfast burrito with chorizo--yum!

Went for lunch today with my gf. I had a combo, cheese enchilada, beef burrito, and crispy relleno, and she had a plate of rellenos. The service was very friendly and welcoming. We started with an order of chips and salsa. The salsa was not my type, very thin when I prefer chunky, but had a decent flavor, and heat. Lunch came out, and I was very happy with the enchilada, and the seasoned beef burrito was very good with one of the best quality tortillas I have experienced. The relleno was much different than I am used to though. It was a strip of pepper wrapped in a shell with cheese and then deep fried. I am used to a whole pepper. It did, however, have a great flavor. The portions looked small, but the gf couldnt finish hers, and I barely completed my task, so all good there. All in all, standard mexican fare, reasonable prices ($20 for everything including sodas), and a clean and friendly environment.

I've always had decent service, good food, and a reasonably priced meal at Las Delicias. I know my Mexican food and this place is decent and the price is right. I can't speak for any of the other locations, but I love this one. The portions are generous and the chips and salsa are yum. The restaurant is clean and the food is served fairly quickly. Can't go wrong here.

Food was ok. Got chicken fajitas, but toppings were few. It came with spreader lettuce, sour cream, & guacamole only. No tomatoes or cheese. The waitress was nice but her English was lacking. There were 3 of us and we needed 2 checks, she said she couldn't separate the bill until we paid at the front. That's a training issue from my viewpoint as its not customer friendly. Much easier to split it when you take the order to avoid confusion later. This place was so-so at best.

Los Delicias is a sore spot in the Uptown restaurant scene. I always thought it's hard to mess up Mexican food, but this place proved it for me. I have been there three times (I have a 3-strike rule), to see if they were off one night or just plain bad. The atmosphere is a like a Mexican version of Tom's Diner on Colfax -- unappealing and uneasy fast food decor. One night I was there with friends and I ordered the Chile Relanos. The soft (almost soggy) battered chile pepper was off putting, but really was disgusting that it bursted with an gooey mixture of tasteless cheese and grease. I could only eat a third of it and I quickly became sick. Luckily I lived nearby so I ran home to throw up and came back to join my friends. The plates that my friends ordered looked okay, very mediocre and had noticable amount of grease on it. There are lots of good family run Mexican restaurants which are much better and with a better atmosphere (they may be hole-in-the-walls but they do have character and charm). I would avoid Los Delicias altogether.

Typical Mexican joint, nothing impressive. Food was average, had better. Decor was unimpressive. The salsa was very tasty I might add. I recommend you avoid it.

I was sitting at home with a raging, horrific cold watching the sunset on a beautiful, unseasonably warm evening. A little depressed too, because of being sick I had to miss a really fun friend's milestone birthday party and also cancel on another friend that I was supposed to meet up with later. There was no way I was going out hacking and coughing like I was. I thought "I need something to cheer me up...some good takeout other than pizza..." Then it hit me: "that's it! Order a carne asada to go!!". I think the one at Las Delicious is awesome. A tasty piece of steak that comes with beans, rice and all sorts of different grilled peppers, veggies, guac, and even a couple of warm tortillas if you're interested. Their salsa is excellent too. Yeah, I know...it may not be the best in town, but it's close and ALWAYS satisfies.

I've been going to this restaurant since I was in High school during the eighties. The food comes out super fast and the recipes have always remained constant. This is among the most successful and long standing Mexican restaurants in Denver-one of the best! I used to work next to the North location and would recommend that one as well. They built a new one across the street from the old location-this place has regulars whose patronage spans decades.

I'd driven by this place so many times, but never had the opportunity to stop in and check it out. When my sister moved to across the street, I finally had an excuse. As a lover of Mexican food, I am not a snob by any means and incredibly easy to please. I've always believed there to only be few things that can make or break a Mexican food experience: the service and margaritas. Cause really, how hard is it to get the food right? Las Delicias not only failed me on the those two items, but added a few more to boot. It was late on a Saturday night and the place was empty. It's really big, so that doesn't help. We started out with a pitcher of margaritas, the color of which reminded me of something out of Ghost Busters. Hands down the worst margarita I've ever had. If there's such a thing as generic margs, this place has it. We took our time ordering and the waitress seemed rather inconvenienced. Perhaps she was trying to get get off her shift early to join the 4 or 5 guys loitering around the register waiting for God only knows what. My buddy got 3 beef tacos and I ended up with a combination platter of sorts. Not 2 minutes after we ordered, the waitress brought out our food. Two minutes. Seriously. Two! At least humor me and wait a few more minutes before you bring out an entree that had most likely been sitting under the heater for an hour waiting to be ordered by someone. He liked his tacos cause, really, if I had a 7 year old sister, she could make tacos. Not surprising, I later felt sort of ill. It was either the food or the margaritas, I couldn't decide. If you're looking to try out a new Mexican place in the area, check out Emilio's and be glad you passed on this place.

We have to talk about consistency here; I have been coming to LD for 30 years. I would call this my "home" restaurant... the one I go to when I don't want to think about what to order or if the meal will be good or whatever. The food has NEVER been off. It is not the best Mexican nor the fanciest restaurant but it is solid Tex-Mex food. I think Jessica H and I must be from the same mold as I too like the chips and salsa except I enjoy mine with a Negro Modelo. Some of the waitresses have been working as long as I have been coming here, I have seen them grow up from busing to head waitress; from teenagers to grown women with families of there own. Yes, I consider this my home restaurant. The 5th star (and probably another half star) of this review comes from consistency and comfort. And the location is only a few blocks off 17th and easy to find.

This is an old school Denver Mex joint. When they first opened and I was working downtown it was a frequent destination for lunch - huge lines in those days. We didn't have much to compare it to back then and thought it was pretty good. I'm not sure if the quality has slipped or the bar has been raised but there are soooo many better places these days. They get points for doing some badly needed remodeling lately but what really needs an overhaul is the food (and booze and service). If you like Benny's and the Blue Bonnet, you'll be right at home.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
