The 3 stars only if you are looking for a casual environment to quaff down a couple beers and have pretty good Mexican food. I stopped by after a long day at work and got ok service with some beer chips and salsa. The service was a bit frustrating because the bartender ran my tab without asking after one beer when I intended to drink about two or three. However, to be fair, his manager discovered the issue without me needing to complain and took the beer off my tab. Honestly, it's nothing special as far as atmosphere but it serves nicely as a neighborhood watering hole.

Granted we've only been here for breakfast, but it's fantastic! Baja Salad with shrimp! Huevos Rancheros! Julie must be some kind of dingus! Hard to not like such a friendly...tasty place! !!!!!!!!!! UPDATE on DINGUS'S !!!!!!!!!! Watch out for hipster A-holes trolling for free food and drinks when they get what they feel as bad service. You know who you are!! If you want your breakfast, drinks and service fast...then get your Macklemore loving pie hole up to f_cking taco bell. Don't come to this place for breakfast with any intention but to spend time with friends or family in a peaceful and relaxing environment. Get your sorry butts to some awful place like Syrup or Snooze you stuck up...no good..GD scum!

Just say "NO"! 40 minutes to get a cold lackluster version of eggs Benedict with cold ,hard eggs. Only 5 active tables in varying degrees of service-e.g. not slammed-just apathetic! No apologies or rationale given for long wait! I kick myself for not reading reviews about horrible service and cold food-HEED WHAT I FAILED TO-SERVICE & COLD, LACKLUSTER FOOD!

Nothing to extraordinary about brunch here. The food was not bad but lacked any real effort of making it to good. Portions were small for the price. We were greeted and seated very quickly and our order was taken very fast but then we waited about 35 or 40 minutes of our food to come out. One of the meals was totally incorrect and they never brought the toast until our meals were pretty much done. The place looks like it could use a good cleaning and some updating. The positives were they continuously filled our coffee up and the preserves that they served with the toast when it was finally brought to the table was delicious. Seems like it wouldn't take much to make this place a lot better. The location is good lots of parking and good seating on the patio. I would consider giving it another try but with so many options out there it will be a while.

Worst place ever for breakfast! Service is slow and when you ask them for something they forgot.......rudeness! Today they were out of orange juice for mimosas.......really??!! Food is pretty good but both worth it!!!

Meh... I really wanted to like this place since it's right in our neighborhood...but the food is just mediocre and super greasy. I'm all for splurging on breakfast calories but this wasn't worth it. Snooze is way better.

In a city that takes breakfast/brunch to a some level beyond "trendy", Krameria Cafe is the family-owned, homestyle joint that is the sigh of relief once you see no lines extending outside to wait for a table and a Bloody Mary that is delightfully spicy. Everything plays to the underrated feel this place has except the food - because the food is DELICIOUS! The Machata smothered breakfast burrito and the French Toast are my all time favorite hits. If you're looking for a simple menu with the classics and a few spins, a damn good Bloody mary, and easy going service that will always make sure your coffee needs a re-heat... then this is the place. (Seriously, ya gotta try the french toast.)

I so much wanted to describe Krameria Cafe as a "great local place" or "hidden gem" and state that this place is a destination that must be visited by virtue of some unique, delicious specialty dish that is only found here. But I can't. And I gave it several chances. There are breakfast/cafe-style places just like Krameria Cafe in just about every neighborhood in Denver. An eatery really needs to have a signature food/dish and look to stand out as a destination. Unfortunately Krameria Cafe doesn't really have either. The breakfast is in the "meh, I've had better" category; it seems like they are trying to be a little like Snooze and and a little like Pete's. However, the breakfast options come up short, there is nothing that leaps out as a signature dish, and portions are small for the price. The cafe options are good, typical burgers and sandwiches. They have a good marinated shredded beef sandwich. OK green chili, but a place needs to have good green chili in Denver, CO. I thought it was weird that they have steak on the menu. Not really the kind of place I'd seek out if I wanted a steak. They have a patio, it is on a major intersection, and across from a gas station. I like to people watch, but this really isn't a great spot for it, unless cars at intersections are your thing. Depending upon the time of day, wind and traffic, the gas fumes and exhaust from adjacent traffic makes the patio a non option. Interior needs updating. The 60s/70s booths need replacing. I sat in the booth and felt like I was falling through them to the floor. Its a "local" place for me, the food is good enough and staff is nice enough, and so I'll continue to think of it as a "don't want to cook, don't want to think about what to eat" option for food.

this is the worst place I have ever been to. It took us 40 minutes to get our food and when we received it it was cold. This place will never get our business again!!!!

I can't believe this place is still open, and I can't believe the health set hasn't closed them down. One of the dirtiest restaurants I have ever seen, and the food literally tastes like dirt. I have noticed that most customers here smoke cigarettes, so I presume you have to smoke and not be able to taste food to like this place. Besides the nasty food, the service is so horrendous I'm surprised they can keep a server here for very long. We left a tip out of pity and to make us feel better about the sadness and disgust we felt for this place. I can't wait for something new to replace it

Suuuuuuuper duper slow. Haven't eaten yet there's like ten other people here now and they're sweating like it's packed.

I went there for the first time for lunch today. No one greeted us when we walked in, and after a few minutes we went to the bartender to get seated. We then sat there for 15 minutes while our server failed to even acknowledge us, so we left without eating. They weren't particularly busy, so I don't know what the deal was, but other patrons expressed similar feelings about the lack of service.

A hidden gem in Denver. Family owned and run: simple, great food and their bloody mary's are amazing!! I highly recommend that you check them out for breakfast.

At first glance, this place looked pretty average. But just wait for the food!!The food is incredible!! My husband and I came here for a late breakfast. We had our choice of tables. The server was very nice and got us tea (a bigger tea selection would be great though). I had the Chorizo Scramble, he had the Poblano Benedict. Delicious! I also had a side of French Toast and I think it's the best French Toast I've ever had! I would highly recommend eating here. It was between here and Snooze which we've been to many times. We took a chance and I'm glad we did!

Great food! I love the private parking and I didn't have to wait for a table. They were busy and a few were griping about the wait time for their lattes etc but if you're going out for Sunday Brunch there will be some sort of wait wherever you go. I had french toast and hash browns and both were delicious. Very cute place nice atmosphere and I'll be back for sure!

First of all, when we walked into Krameria, no one greeted us. Not only did we not get a friendly hello, we didn't even get any type of acknowledgement for about 2 minutes. 3 or 4 servers walked by us and didn't even make eye contact, and let's just say they were jot flying by us with trays full of dishes. In all honesty it was difficult to tell who worked there or was just another confused customer. When someone finally spoke to us, they just said "just two?" And immediately turned around and walked towards a table with no other apology for the wait or any indication to follow her or not. She showed us our table, with no menus or silverware. We sat there for about 5 minutes before a bus boy asked us if someone had gotten our drinks. My boyfriend replied that we hadn't even gotten menus yet, and he immediately ran to go get us menus and take our drink orders. Still hasn't seen or knew who our waitress was. Finally after waiting another 10 minutes our waitress walked up and asked us what we were having with no other words. While we were waiting for our food, my boyfriend asked our waitress as she walked by for some napkins. Her only acknowledgment of us was a glare and to keep walking. She returned with 2 napkins and set them down and kept walking, still with the same pissed off face. The only benefit was that our food arrived after about only 20 minutes, however the food itself was very below average. Both omelettes were overcooked with poor appearances. My omelette was quite tasteless and again, very overcooked as well as my boyfriends. We never had a waitress check on us or again acknowledge our existence. Throughout the course of our meal we witnessed one other customer walk up to the waitress that was standing at the bar for silverware and another customer walk up to ask someone for service of some nature. The only redeeming quality of our experience was the bus boy that went out of his way to get our drinks and bring us our menus and be friendly to us. Other than that every other server we saw had a very poor, unhappy attitude and seemed very unhappy to be there. Definitely not worth going into at all.

I was looking forward to breakfast at Krameria Cafe this morning but finally left at 8:20 AM because they had not yet opened. This isn't the first time this has happened. Perhaps they shouldn't be in the breakfast business if they can't open in time. I probably won't waste time waiting again.

Love the food, the mimosas and bloody Marie's are so good. Denver's best kept secret for great breakfast and good tunes playing.

Okay I went here to reconnect with an old friend, the atmosphere was great! I love the neighborhood too, easy to find parking which is like really important for me. However, they were out of like everything and honestly the food was nothing to write home about. I hear the breakfast is better. I got falafel and they didn't have hummus, like wtf is that?! The service was decent, but our waiter was sweet and gorgeous- tall bearded blonde guy, if you're reading this call me.

I wrote a review on Facebook, but the more I come to Krameria cafe, the more I appreciate! So I figure a Yelp review is in order. To reiterate my Facebook statements: Krameria cafe is affordable, stylish, friendly, and unique with a warm laid-back feel. It is a place to get my work done on my laptop, laugh with good company, and nourish my belly. My favorite dish was always the tasty falafel, but now that I have tried several other items on the menu, I have to say EVERYTHING is positively delicious, especially the spinach cheese enchiladas! Furthermore, there is one major atmospheric point that I forgot to mention in my facebook review, a point far too important to neglect... THE MUSIC. *THE* BEST SOUNDTRACK OVERHEAD. HANDS DOWN!!! The Cure. Billy Idol. Joy Division. Talking Heads. Portishead. Can it get any better?? ...MUSIC IS IMPORTANT.

This place has amazing food. I have been coming here for over five years and has never disappointed. The restaurant is family owned and their food is truly homemade. In the back you will see mother and daughter preparing all the plates and in the front you will see more family serving tables. These are some of the nicest people. The food is delicious and you can't go wrong with any meal. I recommend, the stuffed waffles, enchiladas, and eggs Benedict and most recently my favorite the California burger. I have had many burgers all over the Denver area but theirs takes the prize. Don't forget to ask them to add bacon for some added deliciousness. Also some of the reviews posted negatively on here are simply incorrect. I have never had a meal their that was not delicious. Some people like to complain about the service, but as I mention above. It's a family owned business with the matriarch of the family making your dishes. If your in a hurry then McDonalds would probably work better for your schedule. So....relax drink a margarita/mimosa and smell the roses. CHEERS!!!

We live down the street on Krameria and we absolutely love this place. I have to give it 5 stars to counteract the negative reviews. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. We love the hip couple that owns the place and the great music they play. The falafel sandwich is the best falafel I have ever had. It's moist and delicious! The gyros is one if the best in Denver. I love the green chili and typically get the Huevos or Luchadores for breakfast. Happy Hour is cheap and that's when we like to come!

Breakfast is served until 2pm Monday-Saturday and all day Sunday. I hadn't gone in years as the last time I had been the restaurant was dirty and food quality bad. I went on Saturday with two other people following the Furry Scurry at Wash Park. While Krameria Cafe is right on the corner of 14th and Krameria there is a parking lot just north for customers. The restaurant has been redone and there is a bar, booths and tables inside and a patio outside. I ordered a water and coffee for beverage and the gyros and eggs for my entree. It came with hash browns and pita. The food was fresh, tasty and the hash browns crispy and delicious. The gyros came in chunks as opposed to the normal strips you get in sandwiches and was full of flavor but not overly greasy or salty. The tzatziki sauce was good although I'm not sure if was made at the restaurant or store bought. The eggs were cooked to my liking (over medium). The server was helpful and was aided by a busboy throughout the meal. My other friends enjoyed their meals and I would definitely come back for another breakfast/brunch, lunch or dinner. I didn't order but did see a bloody mary that looked very tasty.

Went for brunch; I've had better. Their bloody's are super spicy and their omelettes were flavorless. I'd go elsewhere.

VILE food, high prices, no ambiance, dirt everywhere, terrible service. I give it an enthusiastic one star, only because there's no option for NO STARS. Why hasn't the health department closed this dump down already? UGH!

Cute little restaurant reminds me of a cafe you'd find in middle of nowhere in italy. Awesome burgers! Best in Denver. I don't understand why the reviews have said the service and food is meh. Will go back!

  • Ethan Alliss H.

The green chili was not green chili, definitely salsa verde. No flavor at all... I added salt and pepper and it was still gross. Plus it came out with a pinch of cheese so I had to ask for them to put more on. They just brought out a ramekin of shredded cheese. I will not be coming back.

So I went to use the free WiFi to get some business done. I would give them them less stars due to NO gluten free options but the waitress took her time to explain what I could have and "will work with you to find what you could have"She gets 5 stars for going above and beyond to help me out.

Great food but worst service I've ever had. I've worked as a server on Mother's Day before, and I know how you can get busy and tables have to wait, but today was inexcusable. After 20 minutes waiting to get water, our server took our order and we didn't see him again for literally an hour. The manager offered to buy us a beer, but only the men were served and when I asked for a drink for my wife he said he would have to "check with the boss." Never heard anything else about that. When we finally started getting our food, it took about 10 minutes for everyone to be given food. When I got my burger (last) it was raw. So when I finally got a cooked burger, most everyone else was done eating. Once we were all done, we waiting another 15 mins for checks and finally asked. Once we got them our server was gone for another 15mins before a busser picked them up. Another 10 mins later we got our checks back. My wife's had to ask twice to get her water filled once...in two hours.

Every time I go here I am underwhelmed. The prices are higher than some others and the quality is very, very average. I've never had anything here that I didn't think to myself "I could have made this at home"... You may ask "why do you keep going back"? Because I can easily walk there from my house. That said, I think I'm done going here.

Walking up to the block to the café we met a guy walking. We exchanged salutations and had a pleasant chat up to the door. He opened the door for my friend and I and welcomed us in. Bryan was a magnificent server. He was attentive and easy to talk to. He was helpful with the menu and really made the visit memorable. I had hash browns with cheese smothered in green chili and coffee. It was really good. The feel of the place was comfortable and clean. I would go again and recommend to others. Great service that started before we even walked through the door. Thanks again Bryan and Krameria Café.

I hate to see small businesses fail. This place is sadly going down. I guess I should say something nice first...the food is good but that sadly is not enough to keep this place going. The service is non-existent. The place is dirty. Tables don't get cleared. Do they have a staff? Oh wait, someone did bring me my order and then some 40 mins later my water. I guess if anyone needs a job, perhaps hit this place up. Be sure you're nice and energetic...this place needs this badly. Sad. It only takes one bad experience lose a customer.

  • Julie S.

Would be 4 stars, but the service is SOOOOO SLOWWWWWW. I've been for lunch, a couple breakfasts/brunches and a dinner and the food was great at each outing. The service was decidely slow at each. Brunch...we didn't care. We sat, we talked, we drank mimosas and we waited. And waited. And waited for our food. Maybe they were waiting for the chickens to lay the eggs. The food was great when it got out to us, but the wait was a bit long. Same story for lunch and dinner. The bright side is that the servers are SUPER knowledgable about the menu and super friendly, they just can't seem to make the kitchen get food out to the customers!

  • Tiffany N.

I still like going to Krameria Cafe for several reasons. But, mostly it's for the facts that I can have breakfast for dinner (or any time of the day), it's close by my house, and there's never a wait. For a table anyway. But, for every time I've been in here there has been a very seriously long wait for everything else. You wait for your drink order to be taken. You wait for your drinks. You wait for your food order to be taken. You wait for your food. When you are done eating, even when it's very obvious and your plate has been removed, you wait for your check. And it's not just a couple of minutes extra that you wait. I've never gotten in and out of Krameria in less than an hour and a half. And my orders are usually something exotic like a waffle with bacon if that tells you how long the food *should* probably take to cook. Nick and I will still go here, but I just wanted to pass along the warning that if you want to as well you should be prepared for a heavier time investment than you might expect.

  • Marnie S.

How does this place stay in business? Ther service has to be the absolute worst in Denver. The staff all walk around like zombies. As they pass the tables they look straight ahead in fear that they will see something that should be done, or asked for something such as a coffee refill, the rest of an order, water, silverware, the check, etc. The food usually arrives cold and loaded with white and black pepper. You have to wait at least 45 minutes for your order. The booths are so old that they are now "bucket" seats, and when you sit down you nearly sink to the floor. The tables are grubby, sticky, dirty, and not bussed. There are so few non-fast food restaurants that people probably give it a try. I honestly cannot think of another restaurant in the greater Denver that is worse than this place. Why anyone eats here is beyond me, or else they never have eaten at a good restaurant. The guests are rather sketchy looking. The building looks old, dirty, and not maintained. The service could not be poor. The food is cold and abysmal.

I would've given NO stars but it won't post. Had the worse experience here one morning after a race. My friend and I were looking for a place to eat and she remembered going here. First there was a girl smoking and her conversation can be heard from the parking lot. Second, the place looked like a dive (which isn't bad but unclean is another story). Third, but not least, when we walked in no one acknowledged us - in fact, two servers passed right by us and just ignored us and the person who looked to be the host looked directly at us but looked away and pretended to do something else. The vibe and rudeness was enough for us to immediately turn around and leave. Not coming back here ever and telling everyone I know. They had a great opportunity because we're always looking for a place to eat after a race. Epic FAIL.

We had lunch, only 2tables 2 people each our food took forever. BLT was dry and tough, then they ran me card twice. I tried for 2 days to contact them and no answer. Really disappointedly. Probably won't go back.

Looking for a fairly quick and enjoyable breakfast in my hood and happened across Krameria Cafe on my Yelp mobile app and despite the somewhat off putting reviews we decided to give it a shot, you never know right? On this beautiful day we decided to sit on the semi-covered patio. Once the plants get growing from under all this late falling snow I anticipate it will be a bit more shaded. The outdoor area is appreciated although it can get loud at times with the traffic whizzing by. Service here can be quite slow as previously mentioned in the other reviews. Feels like a very family run spot where a lot of the locals come with their families. Once we placed our orders the food, that I thought was rather basic took a while as well. I ordered the French toast with bacon and two over easy eggs. The BF ordered the veggie omelet with bacon and hash browns. My food was delicious, thick slices of cinnamon French toast with butter and syrup, the bacon was crispy (I wish a side a bacon was three slices and not two), and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The BF was less impressed, his omelet was not an omelet but a scramble with veggies mixed in and did not look like a three egg anything. The hash browns looked okay but not great and was a smaller portion than normally received during brunch. Overall, I was satisfied with my breakfast and BF less so. I will review based on my meal and give them a full three stars. An improvement in service time would go a long way here to make this a better dining experience as well as better menu descriptions. Hint - if you don't want to offer omelets, DON'T, just change the name to a Scramble that way your customers aren't disappointed. Trying to help you out here.

krameria cafe you have so much potential. I want to like you, your food, your staffs etc. last Sunday morning I had what will be my last chance meal at the krameria cafe. the staff are very unenthusiastic and don't seem remotely interested in working toward a nice tip. the bacon was overcooked to a state of burnt! the food just wasn't fresh at all. the drinks, while in the past have been ok, simply were plain and overpriced. spruce up the place a little. make the patio slightly more inviting. encourage your servers to smile and engage the patrons. your location is ideal. you could have the market cornered for breakfast hot spots between Colorado and Colfax but in the end krameria cafe is just missing the boat. don't go...simply not worth the money at all!

  • Brian B.

Overall...ok. I'm definitely glad I wasn't in a hurry, because the service was incredibly slow. It took almost 45 min to get our breakfast and we were checked on seldom. The cinnamon French toast was pretty amazing, but the luchadores was bland - expected more flavor with my eggs being topped with poblano peppers and green chili. Lastly, I saw that someone posted about their booths being old...well, now they have new booths, but their tables are too low relative to their booths and I could barely fit in them. My thighs had about 1/2 inch to maneuver. We were in the overfill area. The booths in the front looked normal sized though.

I can not believe the LACK of service at this joint!! Seriously, after 4 cups of coffee and 45 minutes with NO FOOD we got up and left. AND they had the nerve to charge us for the coffee. WOW. As we were leaving we noticed one lone woman in the kitchen but neither saw nor smelled any food cooking?? We ended up at Sam's No. 3. Prices were much less than Krameria Café and we were in and out of there in a half hour. Do yourself a favor and skip Krameria Café.

Ten minutes to get coffee. At 30 minutes we got napkins. At 40 minutes they dropped off forks. At 50 minutes, knives. At one hour, they brought our food. Mine was a breakfast burrito with the consistency and taste of an old shoe. High prices, low quality, ridiculously slow.

  • Stan G.

The many people who have given this restaurant a poor review are spot on as far as I am concerned. The reason why Snooze is always busy and Krameria Cafe is not is threefold, quality of food, poor service and price. When your deficient on all three counts you wont get repeat business which is the lifeblood of successful restaurants. My Eggs Benedict came on a stale english muffin that I could not cut even with a steak knife I requested from the waiter. I could swear that our waiter must have had another job as he disappeared for so long between trips. The bill total with tip came to over $100 for breakfast for 6. Definitely overpriced for what we had. I do not expect another visit.

  • Joyce J.

Went with a friend to the Café on Friday at 9:15 AM. Wanted coffee and a muffin but they don't serve cake-type muffins, bagels, or croissants but they do serve English muffins which are on the menu. Waitress told me that on that day the manager said they were saving the muffins for Eggs Benedict orders. I ended up having only coffee. Both King Soopers and Safeway are right across the street and if they expected a rush on egg benedict orders they could have purchased some English muffins and have enough to accommodate me and others. They charge $1.60 for an English muffin and they could have made a profit. When we were there only one other customer was in the restaurant. Poor customer service, foolish decision and a waitress that didn't smile and didn't want to be there. Hope they improve or they won't make it. This is a neighborhood restaurant rely on local residents for business. It's under new management or ownership. Not sure which.

Updating my review to 2 stars due to their happy hour being decent. I came extremely thirsty (not just saying that) and downed 2 margaritas in about 30 seconds. The next 4 were consumed at a slightly slower pace. Their margs are on the sweeter side and not that strong. Having 6 in roughly 30 minutes and I pretty normal. Outside seating is nice though during the spring and fall. The service was still on the slow side.

Hands-down worst brunch experience I've had in Denver. Don't go there if you have any other plans in your day. We got there at noon and didn't have our first round of drinks (including water) until 12:50. Our table didn't get their food until 1:20. It was ridiculous. The food was also mediocre at best, and a bit overcharged for what it was. There are plenty of other decent and cheap brunch places that don't take up your entire day. Terrible service and terrible food.

Meh. Living a block away, we see Krameria Cafe everyday, multiple times a day. Never have we seen it busy. Even on perfect summer days and nights their huge and shaded patio is empty. This should have been our first clue that Krameria Cafe doesn't have any goods. However, we decided to go there only because we can walk there and we have not given them the benefit of the doubt. We were there for a Sunday morning breakfast. We scoped the menu out before our two minute walk, and decided what we would order. Eggs Benedict and chicken fried steak with gravy. Each meal costed over $13. Definitely not worth it. My husband and I both have pursued education and careers in food. Krameria Cafe was a complete waste of time and money. A complete disappointment. My "hollandaise" sauce was grainy, watery, and more of a pale yellow-grey. This sauce contained no fresh eggs. My husbands chicken fried steak was straight of Sysco and the "gravy" was corn starch thickened dishwater. We have decided we will wait until this self claimed Mediterranean Cafe closes it's doors and spawns as a more quality restaurant. Our advice, go to any one of the Pete's and save $5 per dish for the exact same food, better service, and more options!

Delicious food at a great price, yummy drinks, and great service! Food was especially satisfying to this southern girl. I am loving that it's just down the street from me!

Just ok. Bloody Mary's were alright. Service was on a the slow side for how busy they were.

terrible! when we arrived, we had asked for decaf coffee and was told they don't serve decaf. I had to run across the street to the 7 11 for decaf. then we asked for the steak and eggs and they were out! they refilled our coffee once. When we finally ordered, it took over an hour for our mediocre food to arrive and then our order was not complete. we did not get the fruit cup for my 2yr old niece or my dads side of green chile. We saw two tables leave during this time because of the slowness. This place could have so much potential but they clearly don't know how to manage the volume.

We've been here two times and the food has been exceptional. The wait was a little more than we expected, but only because the kitchen made our food to order. One of the best bacon cheeseburgers I've had in sometime, and the patty melt was excellent as well.

I have read the other reviews here on yelp, and am quite surprised by what I read. We moved to Mayfair approx. 2 years ago, and although Krameria Cafe is not restaurant we frequent on a weekly basis - it is one that we go to at least once, if not twice a month. Now that the weather is warming up - you will find us there more frequently dining on the patio enjoying breakfast! I love their staff firstly, always pleasant and friendly - and welcoming to all. We love the casual atmosphere and the small patio area (and the new dining room recently added -perfect for larger parties). Food has always been fresh and flavorful and my two favorite items being the luchadores or the eggs Benedict for breakfast and their burgers or falafels for lunch.

The food, drinks, and service are all above expectations for what appears to be a classic greasy spoon joint.

Four stars for their happy hour, two for their brunchy hour. Averages to A-OK. For a breakfast place (and lunch) their happy hour is great. Margaritas and tacos, $2 bucks each. Margs are pretty good too... For a breakfast place (and lunch) their breakfast was a little bit of a let down. Not bad, by any stretch, but was hoping, based mostly on the great ambiance, that it would be spectacular. Still, give it a try if you're in the area. At the very least, you'd be supporting a locally owned business!

Every few weeks we end up going to this place. I have never had a bad breakfast here (and never eaten here at any other time). We always have one of a trio of servers who seem to have worked here for years. They are always excellent. I always get the Gyro breakfast plate. I used to hate the parking situation, until I discovered that the parking lot to the north was for the building that the cafe is in, so now that isn't an issue either.

I live right up the street from Krameria Cafe, and have been there probably about ten times in the past 7 months. I keep going back and forth on this place. The upside: Happy hour Monday -Friday 3:00-7:00 is super sleeper and a bargain! $2 margs, PBRs and tacos! And the margs and tacos are really good. Their breakfasts are all great, and the bloodys and mimosas are big, and tasty. The Greek salad with gyro meat is HUGE, and crave-able. The downside: The wait time for food can be atrocious. Never head to Krameria Cafe for a "quick bite to eat," or you will be sorry. Even when this place is not too busy, I've waited a half hour for a simple sandwich and fries, and another 15 minutes for the check. I wouldn't call Krameria "dirty," but it is sort of dingy and shabby. It could definitely use a fresh coat of paint, a minor menu update (shareable appetizers, maybe?), and possibly a bathroom remodel, and we'd be in business.

My wife and I went here for Sunday morning breakfast. We waited 25 minutes for our order to be taken, another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and over an hour and a half for our food to arrive at our table. During the wait we were reassured by the wait staff that our food would be out in a minute or two. People who arrived and ordered after us received their food and finished eating before our food came out of the kitchen. Others were waiting for their orders too. I saw a man with his daughter so upset about the long wait for their food that he just put his food in to-go boxes and walked out disgusted, throwing his money on the counter. When our food arrived I told the waitress I was not happy with her service and the extremely long wait for the food. The manager/owner came to our table and told me that I should "expect at least 1 1/2 hour wait for food at any brunch place". (I didn't know The Krameria Café was a "brunch place". I have never had to wait that long at any "brunch place" I've eaten at including Snooze.) At that point another manager/owner came to the table. He told me to just pay and leave. He said "Get the fuck out of here. Get the hell out of here". And he threatened to call the cops. We were not allowed to eat any of our food or take it with us. I paid with a credit card and but left no tip on my signed receipt. Checking with my credit card account I found that the manager/owner forged a $5.00 tip onto my charge. I have spoken with my lawyer who has told me this is fraud and criminal and that we should have insisted the police be called to the restaurant as they would have taken our side. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company, the BBB and the police for the credit card fraud. The people who manage Krameria Café don't seem to handle complaints or criticism about their customer service well. And if 1 1/2 hour waiting is reasonable to the management then can it be called management? Also the wait person definitely isn't trained to take an order, push it through the kitchen and get it out to the customer in a timely manner. I do NOT recommend this place. And I can't recommend the food because we didn't eat it. If I gave stars to this place it would be all MINUS stars. This guy is a bully. Boycott Krameria Cafe!!!!!!!!

I was hopeful that this place would be great, because it's close to my house. What a disappointment. Came for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy, but our food took forever (more than an hour) and wasn't great. Had to ask multiple times for the sauce that was supposed to come with my burger, as well as ketchup and mustard, which are pretty basic. Paying nearly 10 bucks for a mediocre burger and soggy fries that clearly came pre-cut and frozen totally wasn't worth it. And my water glass sat empty for a really long time. I hate it when I have to flag someone down for water. The reviews from my friends at the table were the same. From the French toast and pancakes to the eggs benedict, it was not a meal worth the price or the time we had to wait for it. The only thing tasty was my mimosa. But for six bucks, I can get that elsewhere. Spend your money somewhere else. I will not be going back.

The so called "best benedicts in town" is so very wrong. There is nothing special about the selection or the taste, and to add 2 slices of avocado to your plate it costs 2.00 extra. This place has much potential, and it would be so awesome to have a good brunch spot to go to in the neighborhood, please Krameria-step it up a bit.

Like others have mentioned, the wait time for food can be about 35 minutes long. That's how long my wife and I waited for a burger and chicken pita. The food was not anything more than basic cafe food. Very forgettable. Will not visit again. It's too bad, because I have good memories of how this place used to be.

Been here numerous times and never been blown away by the food or service. It's close by and the food is decent. But with each visit the service has gotten worse. Dropped by for breakfast this morning (4/1/12) and like most weekend mornings it wasn't packed. But I do have a problem with a waitress greeting and serving drinks to another table that came in well after me because it was someone she knew personally all the while passing our table 2/3 times before greeting us and asking for our drink order. I just got up and left. I don't expect exceptional service just adequate if you want my money and the behavior of the wait staff is just so nonchalant about whether you stay or not.

  • Caleigh I.

Not impressed with this place. The waitstaff was not friendly. We didn't even know who our waiter was. The service was so slow. It took over 5 minutes for someone to even approach us and take our drink order. And our food took forever. When it did finally come to our table, it was cold. I'll say that it was tasty but it seemed like it had been sitting for awhile. The breakfast burrito was skimpy. The once we finished out breakfast, we couldn't find our waiter for the check. For the price and service, I will not be going back.

Had a bit of a wait in the area so I popped in for a quick breakfast. I was seated right away indoors at a booth, but noticed there was also lots of space at the counter as well as outside. The Krameria Cafe enjoys a good crowd of people, locals it seems. Not too crowded, however, but enough people for you to suspect that the food is probably pretty good there. It's also clean and well-kept, if not completely modern in decor. I had the breakfast special (plus sausage links) with coffee and orange juice. First off, I was surprised at how good the coffee was. Strong and rich and tasty. After reading other reviews here on Yelp I realized it's because they grind their own beans. Yum. The breakfast special comes with two eggs any style, hash browns (which are more like sliced potato medallions, fried) and one (large) slice of toast. The food was served right away and hot; the portion size was large enough for me not to be able to finish. My scrambled eggs were perfect; folded over and smooth, almost omelet style. Everything tasted great. This was yesterday. I'm actually thinking about popping back in this morning --- that's how pleased I was.

I was killing time waiting for City Floral to open, so I walked around the corner to this little place. Sat at the counter and had one terrific breakfast. The older lady cook came out to ask the guy sitting at the counter next to me how he liked his breakfast and he waxed eloquent about the chiles poblanos. So, eavesdropping pays off! I had the Luchadores - kind of a take on huevos rancheros but so much better. Start with your choice of black or pinto beans, top them with two corn tortilla quesadillas, top them with two slabs of freshly roasted poblanos, top them with two eggs (pick your style) top with mild green chile or homemade salsa. Delish, but I could only finish half - it's hearty. Also, by the time you add in a beverage, you're over $10. Coffee was excellent, as well - they grind their own beans. Service was fairly prompt - there's only the one lady in the kitchen and she makes most everything from scratch. Can't speak for the rest of the menu or the espresso drinks or the mixed drinks (yeah, if you go for brunch you could get a Bloody). But, breakfast was just dandy.

Nothing remarkable at this neighborhood diner. The bacon burger was a solid burger. Cooked to the right temperature topped with bacon and Monterrey Jack by request. But for $10, I expect a bigger burger and perhaps mustard and mayo. Green chile was a little watery with a good kick of chile heat that didn't stick around and make me sweat. It was just average. The coffee was great. The service, not so much.

My friend and I live in the neighborhood and decided, after a stressful week, to grab a drink before we hit our local supermarket. It was... interesting. It really is more a cafe than it looks from the outside, the decor is light and cheerful and the older people on the staff slow down enough to say hello. They didn't have a bar or drink menu, but one of the things we were told about during the happy hour were margaritas. They came without salt, but only ours did. Not sure why. While they were a little on the sweet side, they were effective. Our plan had been to order an appetizer or something to snack on. The menu's we were given didn't have any listed. None. I found that odd. Then we saw things coming out of the kitchen that were neither on the menu nor had we been told were available. I looked over and over again to find where Chips and Salsa was listed and couldn't. I assume regulars know what to say to get the secret local menu that we were not privy to. We did order a California cheeseburger and split it, and it was decent. Cooked to the right temperature and with clearly fresh toppings, the avocado was a great touch and rounded off the burger nicely. Even the fries were of better quality than I honestly expected. And the staff was kind too. Although the younger they were the less likely you were to see the whites of their eyes, they were quick and friendly. But we were treated well and fed well. No, it's what my friend found in the bathroom that will forever keep us from coming back. I did not verify, but I was told there was a urinal that was caked in dried on puke that looked to be several days old. Several days. He looked somewhat green when he got back to the table so I did not doubt him. My worry being that if cleanliness for the customers is a low priority, the kitchen is likely worse.

Great food, wonderful environment, look forward to going back! We went today for breakfast (2/18), I see a lot of comments about wait time. There was a party of 20 in there and still or food came at a normal speed.

I can't believe I have never been here as it's kinda in our neighborhood. The service is one of the friendliest, totally cool vibe just walking in the place and the food is good as well. I really enjoyed their Bloody Mary's too! We had a really nice time sitting at the bar having brunch recently. The people that frequent this place are good peeps too. We will certainly be back and make it one of our "go to" places for sure!

We were greeted right away when we walked in the door. The place is kinda of small. They weren't very busy at 2:00 pm when we were there. Not complaining though. The menu isn't overwhelming like other neighborhood cafes. Normal fare. Burgers and sandwiches and stuff. Did I mention they were playing Dylan when we walked in? I ordered the RAFAS tuna sandwich. Sooo good. Very fresh ingredients. It had a wonderful little spicy kick to it. I would definitely order it again. The wife had the California burger, it was awesome. Great quality beef you could really taste. Very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Very savory. She said one of the best burgers she has had in recent memory. I was able to score a couple bites of it and it was damn good. I've wanted to stop here for sometime and it finally presented itself. I do not regret it. I'm a fan for sure! I'll be seeing you again.

Unfortunately, the Krameria Cafe is decidedly mediocre on just about every level. We live quite close, and finally decided to give this place a try for dinner. The first thing we noticed upon entering was that there was no seat yourself sign, and nobody appeared to be working except a cook in the kitchen. It was quite akward, and we finally just took a seat and waited for somebody to actually start working. The place was quite empty when we arrived, and there were 2 servers for maybe 3 tables... yet the service was quite slow. It didn't really make any sense to have to wait 10 min for menus when the staff was literally just standing around. It wasn't terrible in terms of time, but more a matter of principle. The prices are on the high side for what is SLIGHTLY above greasy spoon diner quality food. I had a falafel sandwich, which was ok but quite inferior to places like Jerusalem. All I was thinking the whole time was that I could have easily made this myself with little effort... And I'm not a particularly gifted cook. To be fair, the breakfast options sounded quite good and I may return, but only to try breakfast. Dinner again is definitely out. I really wish there were more good non Mexican / Central / South American places on East Colfax. A little variety would be nice. Oh well. Krameria Cafe is not that place.

This was the first time I've ever been here. The place is very appealing, you can sit inside or out and the food was good. I would have given them 5 stars but the service was very slow. Although we got seated right as we walked in and got our drinks, the waiter took forever to get to our table and take our order and there weren't very many folks in the place yet. A friend and I were there for breakfast and it was early so other than the slow service, I really enjoyed the experience.

I've tried to like this place, and the food I have had is edible, but that's about it. My last visit, however, left a bad taste in my mouth. The service was especially inatentive and bordered on rude. I got a breakfast burrito. It was ok flavorwise but there wasn't much in it. Mostly store bought tortilla covered in unsightly green chile. I think I'm done with this place. How did they get a decent review in the Post?

Was really excited to try some more great local food in Denver, seeing as I am from Oklahoma City and we do not very much good local food. Me and three of my friends decided to go to Krameria Cafe because my friend, who is a local, had heard good things. The food was great, margaritas were awesome. The service was absolutely terrible!! They never brought us napkins and silverware, they never refilled our drinks, my friend and I both ordered the same burger and they forgot to put any condiments on it at all. We both asked for extra avocado on our burgers and they didn't bring it out until 10 minutes after we reminded them the second time that we had ordered it. The worst part about the whole experience was that when we asked for the check we requested that she split it four ways because two of us had cash and two had to pay with a card. She said she had already put it all one, brought back one check, and walked away. we spent the next ten minutes trying to figure out a way to pay for our food. We didn't leave much of a tip (for obvious reasons) and as we were walking out our waitress ran out after us and started yelling profanities at us and told us to never come back (very professional). I'm pretty sure she doesn't have to worry about that, after our experience with them. The moral of the story is, do not go there. Ever. Unless you like wasting an hour and a half on okay food and getting harassed by crazy ghetto Mexican waitresses.

I love Krameria Cafe! Excellent homemade food, great music and a funky neighborhood vibe. Service can be a bit on the slow side, but if you want fast, processed food you should probably go elsewhere anyway. While not the zippiest, we have always found the staff to be kind, sweet and helpful.

I like this place. I live way out on East Colfax and this place might be one of the first indicators that you are getting closer to central Denver (as opposed to the strangeness of E Colfax). It definitely has a diner vibe, but there's more to the menu than greasy spoon fare. I have never had such awesome poblano pepper breakfast dishes (and there's a few to choose from on the menu). Its a very simple, no-frills kind of place with dependably good food and service. I DO WISH, however, that they had better COFFEE. As of 3/16/10 they are preparing the addition of a restaurant w/ a bar right next door. Could be cool, looking forward to checking it out...

This place has it's charm and after reading the reviews it actually exceeded my expectations. The service we got on a Sunday afternoon was good (unlike other reviews may suggest). The atmosphere is kind of trendy but a little bit crammed. There's constant traffic from the kitchen (?) to the dishwashers (?), which are on opposite ends for some inexplicable reason, through the whole length of the restaurant. Make sure you look both ways before getting up if you don't want to get run over! :D The food we got was mixed... The gyro sandwich was amazing, some of the best gyro meat i've eaten, especially considering that this is not a Mediterranean restaurant. The french fries are also pretty delicious even though i suspect they're pre-frozen. The hamburger however, absolutely not worth it... in fact it's so crummy i don't even know why they keep it on their menu... just tastes like dry cardboard (and that's asked to be cooked medium, which came out more medium-well). Worth trying... just don't get the burger and watch your feet! :D

This review is only for the breakfast/lunch service. I have never been to Krameria for dinner but it is my go to spot for brunch & bloody's. In my experience the waitstaff & owners are very attentive & friendly. The quality & preparation of food is good; I have tried the greek salad, falafal sandwich, pancakes, luchadores, poblanos (only order if you can handle spicy!), poblano benedict, omelettes, enchiladas + plenty of other items. All were wonderful! The (spicy!) bloody marys & mimosas are good & strong.

I am amused reading the previous reviews because they pretty much mirror my experiences there. This place has potential to be really great, but there is a general attitude of "phoning it in" there. It doesn't matter if they are busy or not, you WILL WAIT. Often you will wait just to get some water and then they get annoyed when your parched voice reminds them to please AT LeAST bring some water! On the flip side, the food is almost always good. I have not been disappointed with any of the dishes except the grilled cheese which is really bad. Some of the waitresses are really nice and I feel like they mean well, there just seems to be a lack of concern in the entire establishment of making it a good experience for the customers.

I am like the rest of the gang and really want to like Krameria Cafe. However, it is just a bit too pricey and a bit too slow and a bit too bland to be the love of my life. With all of that said, I will go back in the evening to try dinner. We went Sunday morning for brunch. I had a chili rellano omelet which I thought was creative and good but could have used a spicier salsa (I made it myself with the Cholula on the table). The husband had eggs and rellanos and neighbor Sam had a steak sandwich. We all ate Sam's french fries as they were hot and tasty. Add in one coffee, one coke, one ice tea and the total bill was $35.00 which I thought was too much for what we ordered. Krameria has added more staff and our meal was slow as the place was crowded and a large party was ahead of us. I think the service might be a bit better under normal circumstances. I like the outside patio and the inside is clean and nicely decorated. They had two staff assigned to do nothing but clean up. They have a full service bar which I did not try and would like to know the price of a drink as it could really price them out for the dinner meal. As you can see, I think they are listening to reviews as they are trying to offer better service and a cleaner dining area. Now if they would change the prices on some of the meals to make them comparable to other places in the neighborhood that serve the same food. Come on Krameria Cafe, you have a lot of people who want to love you, don't be such a snob.

Wow. This place puts the old in old school. Staffed by a woman who, god bless her, has probably been working there since the invention of lava. She is serious - do not mess around, look at the menu, order and be thankful she even notices that you are breathing in the corner after the food is served. Food was A-OK for a lunch-gotta-get-back-to-work-quick place. We were there on a Tuesday at 11:45 until about12:45 - not one other soul in the place after a couple left as soon as we got there. Curious, they were out of french fries. I know! I have never heard of such a thing. Good but not a destination when there are a billion other choices in town. Worth a quicky when there is a lunch hour time crush.

Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me for a third time, well let's just say three strikes and your out. My wife and I really want to like this place...it's close by and it's local, but you know what...there are too many other places to go spend our money and not wait FOREVER for someone to even recognize and understand that we're at their restaurant because we want to order food! Every time we've been there it's at least 10 minutes until a disinterested and apathetic server wanders by our table to ask what we want. The food is decent, but even if the food was phenomenal, it's still not worth it when you see the staff looking busy at the front when customers are all looking around for service. Today's experience was only saved by the bearded guy at the front who sat us right away and seems to get it. These guys are coasting on their proximity and convenience in the neighborhood and I, for one, would rather drive a distance to get the food and service that we deserve. Krameria Cafe...WAKE UP! Read your reviews...most of them bash your service routinely so that should tell you something.

Went there later on week night with a buddy. Wanted chicken fried steak, but they were out of gravy- I was told by the server (who was very nice) this was common. Really? Has anyone there thought about making more gravy per day / week? Gravy can be stored in a refrigerator... I'm... I'm pretty sure on this, guys. Gravy is not equal to 'fresh baked cinnamon rolls' or something that is difficult to make to order or make more of in short order. If you regularly run out and don't care to actually have what is on your menu available, change your menu in the evening. I ended up ordering Gyros... fine. Ordered a couple Coors Light. After the first two, they ran out of that too. Guess they are running a tight ship.... maybe a little too tight. Will try one more time.

We've been watching the place change for years now and I have to admit they continue to improve so if you haven't been here in a while it is worth another visit. We really enjoy the breakfast menu and they have great options for kids. My kids love the Mickey Mouse pancakes with bacon and sausage for just $4.95. We've never had problems getting a table even with a large family. The staff is friendly albeit a tad slow but it is also nice to not feel rushed. Overall this is our favorite sit down breakfast place in Park Hill especially because it is very family friendly.

Ok, so I live pretty close to the Krameria Cafe, and I've been wanting to find "my regular neighborhood place" for a while now and was hopeful that this would be it. I'd been here once before for lunch, and while it wasn't super special, I thought I'd take my boyfriend there for a second opinion. On Friday, I found the cafe listed at Restaurant.com and proceeded to buy one of the gift certificates offered for $25 toward a $35 purchase with 18% gratuity to be added to the total bill. We hurried through downtown traffic after work to get to the restaurant, and as we got into the booth, I made sure to put the certificate on the table so the waitress would know we were planning on using it. However, as soon as she saw it, she told me that the restaurant was no longer accepting the Restaurant.com certificates and hadn't been accepting them for about three months. She showed me a sign in the waitstaff area. I'm not sure if it's the restaurant or the website that's falsely advertising the certificates, but after buying one, I was pretty upset to find it's useless two hours later. Even if the website is refusing to remove Krameria Cafe's listing, I would hope that the cafe would be better about informing customers with signage where customers could actually see it.

After writing my initial review I received a message from the owner saying, "thanks for your money, Dumbass. " Do me a favor and boycott a place that would curse at people for being honest. It looks cute. You want to like it. However, to be quite honest, the food is forgettable. Not bad, per se, just forgettable. I ate there about two months ago and here's what I do remember: 1) They're either wickedly understaffed or they just don't care too much about efficient and timely service, and ... 2) A glass of OJ costs $4. I'm so not kidding. Save yourself the experience and go grab some grub and (affordable) OJ elsewhere.

Living close by and having never tried it I finally decided to check it out. It will most likely be the last time, for breakfast anyway. I ordered the chorizo and egg burrito and had it smothered. Bad decision, the green chilli was watery and lacked any flavour, the worst thing was my burrito now looked like a diaper if you know what I mean. Home fries not quite cooked, the coffee however was pretty good. I will reserve full judgement on this place till I try their famous happy hour.

I love this joint, that's for sure. I only order the steak sandwich and it has yet to fail me. My issue with the Krameria comes in the form of the confusing service. They usually have 2 waitresses and 2 cooks along with 1 person at the counter and only 8 patrons. By that math, the service should be fast and on top of it. Nope. If they fix the speed of service, I'll fix their rating.

The food is good, but not good enough to wait. I waited 50 minutes after playing my order for their happy hour special - tacos! You wait for your drink order, your drinks, your food order, your food, and then your check. Not normal waits - expect the whole "experience to take 1 hour and 45 minutes" - do they not read these reviews?

My colleagues and I used to drive by there often and always talked about going. So, just recently, we finally did for lunch. There were five of us and we were probably half the patrons in the whole place. The restaurant was freezing and the food was served lukewarm (at best) to cold. The "roasted vegetable soup" looked like creamy potato soup. The server was super sweet, but none of us will venture there again.

Great food and atmosphere. Friendly and attentive servers. Have the crepes or frittata.

I have decided to give the Krameria Cafe 5 stars to help offset its review average. This place has the best tuna sandwich I have ever had. The wait staff is hip and pleasant and it is by far the best diner on the east side of Colorado Blvd. since Annie's moved to Colfax. A perfect and easy neighborhood spot for breakfast and lunch.

3 Product 1 Service 2 Facility 3 Value The Krameria Cafe used to be a common place for us to stop for breakfast. We had to give it up because while the food is OK, (not GOOD, just OK) it just takes so long to get anything there. We have been there when they opened - 30 minutes to eat. We have been there at 9:30 - 30 minutes to eat, even with no crowd. They seem to have some loyal walk in customers from around the neighborhood. That will keep them afloat. Also, in fairness we haven't eaten lunch there but once. It was better than breakfast. Pinky's rating guide: Product (Food, Merchandise, Selection) Service (Timely, helpful, appropriate level of friendliness) Facility (Location/hours/access/parking/atmosphere) Clientele management (crowd control, customers, wait for seating) Value overall (Very subjective - double weighted)

OK, so please understand that this review is for the ambience, service and drinks, not for the food (I know, I know, this is primarily a food site, but I want to throw in my two cents). We are purchasing a home in the neighborhood and decided to scout out the surroundings. This place looked good. It was completely dead on a Saturday between 5-7, which usually isn't a good sign. But we gave it a shot anyway. The interior is nice - kind of an upscale diner - and the menu looked great (lots of Mexican and Greek-themed food, as well as burgers). We sat at the bar. The counter was dirty but the bartender wiped it off right away. The happy hour is great. Cheap well drinks and beers. Also cheap tacos, which the woman next to us at the bar ordered and said were "pretty good." We had a slice of lemon pound cake, and it was excellent. The bartender/waiter was really nice. We are definitely going back. All in all, a good first experience. I'm still wondering why it was so dead on a Saturday evening, however.

The good stuff: food is down-home, traditional breakfast, exactly what your mom would have made if she had a whole restaurant kitchen and supplies at her disposal. They don't mess around with all the trendy stuff and just serve yummy basic food. Also, the french toast is awesome. The sad stuff: We have been coming here for a while now and have always appreciated the homey feel and lack of a wait. Lately, though, the service has sucked and is growing worse every week. Maybe it's because they expanded and the kitchen hasn't caught up yet? Last week they forgot about us and we had to go find our own menus and flag down a waitress after watching 3 tables who arrived after us put in their orders. This week, we waited a full hour for an omelet and a burrito. At neither time did they have a full restaurant. It looks like the kitchen can only handle 1 order at a time so if you're behind a big party, get ready to wait a long time. Tired of waiting an hour for breakfast, we may begin to look elsewhere. We'll always compare the food back but at least we'll be done with breakfast before lunch time. It's sad because I've really been rooting for this place. I hope they pull it together and I can write a "hooray they improved" review soon.

I love this place! The food was fantastic, in presentation and taste. The staff was very helpful and fun. I think it's nice when the waitstaff can be real with you and still provide great service. I will totally be back there again! Next time for mimosas and more eggs benidict!

My hat is off to the Krameria Cafe. You have really raised your game in the past 2 years. When I moved to Park Hill I was so excited that you were so close. Then I ate your breakfast and I was sad. But I did not give up. I checked in every few months and I am glad I did. My whole family loves you now. Your breakfast and service have gone from blah to AWESOME! Your waitstaff is always extra nice to the kids and make a fuss over them (that goes such a long way). It may still take forever to get our food, but it is finally worth the wait. Muy bueno!

I love this place! Friendly staff and great fresh food, everything tastes so delicious. I wish I had found it sooner, have only known about it for about 2 months and have already been there 3 times. Nothing but good things to say :)

Prices are high, service is slow food is OK, but just OK - nothing special Looking through other reviews the slow service is a re-curring theme I wonder if they will ever get the hint that they need to hire more people Looks like they just expanded into the next storefront so hopefully in six months time, they will have better service with the addition of new employees

This is my fourth visit here. The first three were fantastic with no issues so I must give them 4 stars for those. But the fifth was something a tad different; I'll mention the issues but will not penalize them to much due to the previous good times. 1) There were a lot of grounds in the coffee and I had to ask to get it refilled. 2) The green chili on my burrito was disappointing to say the least. When he put the plate on the table some of it spilled out, the exact consistency of water. The pork bits in it were good and the flavor was OK but the mouth feel was horrible. 3) The chef walked out and sat two seats over to me at the bar and commenced to pick his teeth with a toothpick and began making the most horrendous sucking sound with his mouth that made me nearly lose my appetite. The previous visits though, like I mentioned before, were excellent. The service was speedy and the food consistent. I'll stick with the pancake stack next time and maybe stay at the tables instead of sitting at the bar. I arrived at 12:30pm.

This place is in my neighborhood, and I just moved here. The happy hour specials were okay. The service was extremely slow. We waited 20 mins before getting our drink order. Also, I ordered a side of guacamole which was literally diced avocados in a bowl. Diced avocados are a lovely side if that's what you order, but that wasn't what I ordered. I'm hoping to find a better evening spot than this. I did see biscuits and gravy on the menu, so I may be back to try those if I've got 90 minutes of free time on my hands.

Let's just say that we were pleasantly surprised when we REVISITED Krameria Cafe. We'd gone there 2.5-3 years ago when we first moved to the neighborhood and were 100% disappointed, we moved away and then back so we decided to give it another shot and what a turnaround. While I probably wouldn't tell somebody "oh my gosh you've got to go there" I wouldn't dissuade them from going. 4 of us went for breakfast and we all had different items, it was all really good. The service was a bit slow but since we were with friends we didn't really care too much. I'm glad to see it's better than it was, hopefully it will keep improving---now if only they would serve beer in the evenings it would be a perfect walking-distance place to go to anytime we don't feel like cooking!

The Krameria Cafe has a waitress that will always greet you with a menacing scowl that says, "Why would you eat at this f*#king place, when you can go somewhere else." Good question. Maybe it's because they serve Pablo's Coffee here. Maybe it's because they are really, really close and never have a wait. The food is completely uninteresting and consistently mediocre. But the coffee is good, and the rest of the staff doesn't give me the stank eye.

First, I want to say something regarding the very poor reviews about this restaurant. The food here is some of the better food that can be had in Denver, especially coming from a small family owned cafe. The food really is "made with love" and the menu offers an amazing selection, even offering from breakfast to dinner any time of the day. Because this place is smaller staffed and family run and so much goes into what is made food wise, with much of the ingredients being made from scratch, there can be a slightly longer wait. It is true that if the place is more than half full, you won't get extremely fast service, but like many places, this cafe is about the atmosphere, not fast food service. The family running the place are amazing, friendly and genuinely care about who they serve and will usually alter or modify orders to keep their customers happy. Not coming here enough times to try the many great dishes on the menu is to rob the senses of some really great food. We drive from far north of Denver just to eat here again and again, and will continue to do so...a definite must try!

I've been pretty pissy lately with the reviews, and so I have decided that with my first free time in months I will dedicate myself to catching up on some more positive Yelping. Krameria Cafe sprang to mind first. I tried it for lunch one day. It's a great old diner inside, much more attractive than the outside. Cozy booths and old-fashioned, family-run feel without the run-down dinginess. Not good for groups, there's really only one place they can seat large parties, especially during the colder months (no patio service). An extensive menu includes breakfast burritos and Greek staples. I was skeptical. A normal, intelligent person who feels skepticism would probably order something safe, like bacon and eggs. Not us, though. My guy, who is terribly picky about his chicken, ordered a chicken sandwich. I boldly ordered the gyro sandwich. Our friend asked for the homemade caramel apple pie. Lucky for us we're not the smart types, because none of us were disappointed in our meals. Not the quickest place to eat, but recommended all the same, especially for a weekend meal when you're not in a rush and would rather sit and shoot the breeze anyway. I'll be back.

The food was okay, service was surly and took forever...had to *ask* for syrup with my pancakes, eggs were cooked incorrectly (asked for over hard, got scrambled)...not too impressed with this place...not sure they want my business again and I'm not sure I want to go there again...seems like an even swap...

went here on a whim, got the poblano peppers, eggs, and tortilla. food was good, green chile was awful. probably won't go back. the service was not great, one girl ran around, while the other one was who knows where.

Like Kat said, I want to like the Krameria Cafe. Badly. We live only a couple blocks away and its got such potential. But I've only been twice and don't think I'll give it another shot. The first time, we waited forever just to get OJ. It was a Sunday morning, but the restaurant wasn't full. Then they brought me the wrong food. I decided to go ahead and try it anway, because an omelette is an omelette. It was gross, and that is the best way I can put it. Something about the place seemed dirty. The next time was for dinner a few weeks ago. My husband talked me into going because he is an OJ snob and I think they make it from scratch or something. Nothing bad happened and the service was better, but the food was plain and unremarkable. We should have just made frozen waffles at home and saved 25 bucks. Plus it was freeeeezing inside, I had to keep my coat on. I probably won't go back considering how many other good breakfast places and diners there are in Denver

Here I am again, writing because, as I said before, I want to like this local, homey spot, and am hoping the owners will read this review and shape up. Breakfast there this morning: terrible service (1/2 hour for a simple scrambled egg order, with the restaurant only 2/3 full and plenty of staff? Surly waitress? Had to get up and pour my own coffee? C'mon). Eggs cooked in rancid oil and inedible. Will try again in a few months to see if anyone's paying attention to quality and let you know. In the meantime: Cafe Owner! Talking to you! Pay attention! How about some minimal management and concern for quality? Not asking for the Tour d'Argent, just a decent neighborhood cafe with decent eggs and sandwiches. That's all. Get after it.

I can honestly say the worst restaurant in Denver. The food is just as bad as the service. We keep giving them a try because they are so close to home, but be scared! The worst breakfast and lunch ever and you will wait and hour for it.

This is a great little neighborhood burger joint with some Mexican and Greek items as well. Service is friendly and laid back, this is a low volume place. They have some great happy hour specials as well. This is definitely a worthwhile stop in the neighborhood for simple, good food.

1 Star for now...this will hopefully change soon. Here's why. We just moved into the neighborhood and are hoping to find THE neighborhood watering hole for "I-don't-wanna-cook-let's-go-get-something-quick" eats. Because we have a 2.5 year old boy, our timing is limited...not too strict, but we definitely have a limited window of opportunity for a sit-down meal. One Sunday morning, we wanted to grab a quick breakfast and head somewhere that wouldn't be agagillion degrees Farenheit. We immediately thought Krameria Cafe ripe for a trial. It is definitely kid friendly, moreso if you sit on the patio. We sat ourselves, as directed, and waited for our server. 3 customers later, we still hadn't been waited on. 20 minutes later, we had only our drinks - a coffee, water, and a juice for the kid, which was unacceptably presented without a top or a straw. To add to our frustration, by the 20 minute mark in this half-full restaurant, the 3 other customers who were seated near to us, but in a different server's station, were already eating. I'll keep you posted...maybe a change is in the stars...?

Liked this place when we first moved to the neighborhood, but the last 4 times in a row we have been there, they have been out of something. Usually country fried steak and/or gravy. I can understand being out of something now and then, but this is too much. Won't be returning anytime soon.

I'm really not sure what all the negative reviews are from, but my experience here was top notch. The food was not only great, but there was plenty of it. I also like the patio and decor. Very comfortable. But that's what you want in a breakfast joint. But it seems the complaints are mostly about the service, which mine was more than acceptable. I can't remember her name and although she wasn't terribly talkative, she was friendly and quick. Unlike most reviewers, I live nowhere near the KC, but I will be going back when I get the chance.

We went for breakfast with some out-of-town friends two weeks ago. The food was alright, it's hard to mess up breakfast. The service made us feel uncomfortable. Our waitress acted like she hated us. I'd rather go any other place than to have to bother our princess waitress for another cup of coffee.

Well, i like the place. Only have been for breakfast, so no idea about other type of food, but i like the breakfast BLT. Place is kinda small, but nice and warm wall color, the place just feels cozy. All their plates and cups are mistmatched, i like it, it is a little crazy (well ok, not completely crazy, but at least not conventional)

very dirty place. dead flies and old food on the window sills. needs some serious cleaning. the food was blah and we both felt a little sick the rest of the night. our waitress also charged us for the gyro entree even though we ordered the gyro sandwich and declined the soup or salad. will not be going back.

I have lived in the neighborhood over 20 years and never really thought the restaurant on the corner of 14th&Krameria was ever very good. Knowing that newer owners were trying to make it go we thought we'd give it a shot for breakfast. Having just returned from one of the worst dining experiences I thought it necessary to let others know.....we were out for breakfast...ordered scrambled eggs with fried potatoes and toast. How hard is that to screw up?? Well, first of all I have a serious aversion to lamb....the cold potatoes were cooked on a grill where lamb or gyros meat must have been cooked. I know this seems a silly thing but the taste is very offensive to me. OK...then my toast came which was no more than a dry white piece of bread that maybe was waved over the toaster. I honestly did not eat my meal and asked for the check. Waitress was not at all concerned over my complaint about the meal. I went to the front to pay the tab asked the young man how they had the audacity to charge full price for something so bad. He told me to 'shut up" and that he might "call the cops". Really...that kind of a response to criticism?? I paid the full bill and said that we won't be coming back and that we will tell ours of our experience. The young man then said, "get out YOU STUPID B---H". Is this a place you want to spend your hard earned cash? I think not!! I am not in the habit of complaining however the lack of customer service at the KRAMERIA CAFE in unbelievable!

Went here for the 1st time yesterday, sat on the covered patio and ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs over medium. The food was cooked perfectly including my eggs, which is nothing short of a miracle since no one ever cooks them properly. The cost was also pretty low which reminded me of how Denver breakfast joints used to be.

So I came here with my date on our first date, it wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't a wonderful experience either. When we came in, we actually were greeted and seated down. Then eventually we ordered, that is when the long process took, which was fine there were others around coming in, and it was only him doing so. My date and I got just coffee, it tasted like watered down coffee which was fine too cuz him and I just put sweetener and etc in it. Our food eventually came, mine was kind of already getting cold. I still enjoyed the sand which. I enjoyed my time there, I am planning to go back there another time, I just enjoyed the outlook of the place.

Don't. We tried this place because it's located conveniently close to our house. On a Friday night there was one, yes ONE server working in the entire restaurant and that included bartending duties. Everything took ridiculous amounts of time and the food was just ok. Happy hour prices are good, but you get what you pay for at this place. It's too bad too because it has 2 patios and has great potential but the owners are squandering the opportunity. Oh well.

I just checked this place out for the first time and I have to say it was a huge letdown. The service was horrific. I sat at the bar and once seated no one even said hi to me even though there were 5 employees standing around playing grab ass. I ordered water to get started and I was planning on having a cocktail of some sort later once my food came but that didn't happen since no one asked how I was doing or if I could use anything else once my food was dropped. Once I was done one of the servers noticed quickly hat I had finished my meal and was all to happy to drop the check and get me out of the restaurant. I would not recommend at all.
