Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Errors on everything during my last three visits. 1) Served me a pretzel frozen in the middle. 2) Served me the wrong large smoothie altogether on the next visit, and I left without trying it. 3) Today, they threw away 1/3 of my drink and served me what was left. They need to hire employees who aren't stoned on the job -- at least I hope that's their problem at the 16th Street location.

Friendly staff! Love the Kale Mango smoothie. It's a quick way to enjoy something healthy and be on your way. I didn't have any issues and my smoothie was delicious.

There's something very wrong with this Jamba Juice location. I've had bad experiences in the past with getting my drink half-melted / waaay too creamy (much creamier than any other normal Jamba I've ever gotten). I thought it was just a malfunction in their refrigeration system, but no, it's happened every time. This is just a very bad location for quality. Please save yourself time, money, and satisfaction for a different location.

We came this morning to get smoothies, and upon ordering, we were told that the store is currently out of peaches. Our order had peaches in it, and we were told we could replace it with any fruit we wanted. I looked through the fruit choices & chose pineapple. I was told that pineapple would be a dollar more. I completely understand if they wanted to charge me more if I chose to change something myself just because I wanted my smoothie that way. What I don't understand is being forced to pay for that change when the ingredient that is usually placed in the smoothie is out of stock & I'm told I can choose to replace it with any fruit I want!

AVOID!!!! I highly recommend NOT going to this particular establishment. Although the employees are usually quite nice, they screw up my orders and my smoothies EVERY time. In particular the quality of the evening crew. I'm over it. You can get better smoothies from someplace else. I just paid almost $10 for a melted chacolate milkshake that clearly didn't contain ANY of the boosts I asked for OR the pb or banana that are supposed to in the smoothie. IRRITATED!!!

While the results are tasty, this store is a mess. Slow service, wrong orders, and very unprofessional. (Actually saw a manager fire an employee in front of a crowded foyer.)

It is exactly like every other jamba juice. My only complaints are the lack of direction that creates just a massive cluster for no reason and the customer service is lacking a little. During the mid day rush it is just chaos in there due to where the doors are located and the lack of guidance.

Always some of the friendliest workers of anywhere I go! Just wish they had more space to put some seating inside for those days it's too cold for the patio.

  • Becca R.

Okay, I love that they have fresh juice but I'm just so confused. They have hard tumblers for purchase right? Well, either those are marked incorrectly or they are serving people the wrong sized cups because I ordered a 16oz and then put my cup up to the tumblers...it was the 12 oz. tumblr. When I asked about this- they got really rude. I actually don't think I'll go back here just because of the attitudes.

Need a quick "liquid" meal and remembered Jamba Juice. Last time i was in one was probably early 2001 or 2002 - it seemed the same. Staff was friendly with my fumbling over the menu or what i remembered from reading it on line. I got some whey protein so they had to give me a bigger cup - but i also think they gave me mroe goodness as well. Super yummy!

One of the workers was a little 'irritated' today but, aside from that, things were great. I normally get the Strawberry Surf Rider which is delicious already and the first experience I have had with a drink that also had peach in it that didn't make me gag. I had them add pineapple juice in an attempt to sweeten it a little more but keep the tang. It worked for me. They get super busy many times though and it's just a little sliver of a waiting area so you have to make sure you stay withinin your own space while waiting. I love this place.

  • Courtney B.

Not my fave jamba juice experience. They were out of everything and their carrot and orange juicers were broken. I got a watermelon splash. It didn't taste like watermelon at all and had way too much strawberries. Would I go back, I guess, but I would probably go to ink! Across the street for a better smoothie.

  • Maria B.

Customer service is horrific at this location. Seems like the NYC locations were more on point on that facet. Either way, I have to get my fix once in a while.... so we shall endure or perhaps just make some remarks to their management.

To sum it up: tasty, reasonably priced, friendly, hot as hell. Now, let's get to it: When I'm downtown and need a quick and cheap (well, cheaper than downtown lunch fare) lunch, I come to Jamba Juice for a thick fruit smoothie that will fill me up. I think the selection is great and the menu is easily laid out. I've tried almost every smoothie that doesn't have bananas in it (I hate that yellow atrocity), and I can't complain. Plus, for those of us who may not be getting enough fruit in their daily diets, you can come here for your daily value. Be aware that when you read how much sugar are in these bad boys, they're taking into account the natural sugar. I tend to get a smoothie from the no sugar or dairy added section. Pomegranate Paradise is my go-to drink. My favorite part about the smoothie is when I get to the bottom, and there's some chunks of fruit that didn't quite get the grind the blender. If you just need a little something, get the 16 oz. (wuss). Usually for a light lunch, I get the Original (20 oz., I believe), or you can get the power (24 oz. Only get this if you want some for the next day or you have a HUGE appetite. Good luck with that bloated stomach for the rest of the day though). I see a lot of people getting a shot of wheatgrass. I tried it once (somewhere else) and almost passed out from the horrendous taste. I'm also allergic to grass, so I'll stay away from that mess. But people seem to be refreshed after taking it. Try at your own risk. This place is always a tad warm, no matter what the season. Actually, more than a tad. It's freaking boiling! I'm sure whenever I come to this location, the gal or guy behind the counter is thinking, "Oh great, here comes the sweaty girl again!" I can't wait to get back on the street after getting my smoothie. If you're feeling like you need a little more, I might stop by Santa Fe Cookie Co. for a $1 bag of cookies. I know, not a healthy lunch, but I think the smoothie makes up for it, right?

I know this is just some regular smoothie chain (how much different could this Jamba be from that Jamba??), but I have something important to say about this one on 16th Street. After perusing downtown around 10:30PM, my friend and I were craving something cold. We thought Jamba was closed but this one is open until 11! So excited. What we didn't know was that upon walking in, we would see a beautiful, charming young man. So good looking in a very unorthodox way. He was friendly, funny, charming, and energetic. We ended up getting selected for a survey to get a "buy one get one" deal for next time from Boisterous Beauty. We go in again today and there he is again. Boisterous and Beautiful. Otherwise, haha, um....get Peach Pleasure. I always, always get that. Except today I tried to be "health conscious" and ordered from the low-cal menu called "mango mantra." Did not like. That's what you get when you try to be healthy when you're really not.

As a tourist walking the pedestrian mall on a hot day, Jamba Juice is a familiar go to for a quick boost. This location in particular happened to have some incredibly friendly workers making idle chit chat whilst taking your order and preparing it. It caught me a little off guard. Maybe I've been in NY too long, but I'll attribute it to good training. They kept everything clean and were constantly wiping up after themselves between orders which is much nicer than some other places I've gone where it's a complete mess of caked up juice on everything. As for the drinks themselves, it is pretty standard and tasted no different than any of their other locations. It did start getting crowded here on our way out, but I think that's to be expected on a nice day at the pedestrian mall.

This is like every other Jamba Juice in the country. The reason that this location gets a four star versus a five star is size. The space is incredibly small and it can cramped especially during busy hours. However, they do have outdoor seating which can be nice (when a seat is available).

It's a beautiful, uncharacteristically warm November morning that has brought me to the outdoor patio of Jamba Juice located on 16th Street Mall. The people-watching from this spot is entertaining and inspiring... maybe even a bit scary, but we'll focus on the safe, happy aspects. I am eating a delicious - yet a little overboard on the sweet - blackberry & blueberry oatmeal. (They should call it black and blue... that would be cutesy. Maybe they do call it that, I just asked for an oatmeal with blueberries and this is what I got). Anyway, I didn't order my typical Pomegranate smoothie because it turns out this location does not have a public restroom and I seriously have to pee. I can see their point - public restrooms available on 16th Street Mall are tough to maintain and monitor. But then again, they could've had more of my money if I would have had the chance to pee before ordering. Oh well. I'll let it slide, although I did have to subtract a star because, apparently, all I can think about is the need to relieve myself (probably not recommended when writing a review for a food & drink establishment). Other than that, I guess they get props for keeping the place clean and being sort of friendly. I get these places are busy, especially on a Monday morning which includes hungry, caffeine-requiring business people. Not awful. But I still have to pee.

I go here about 3 times a week for lunch. I love the smoothies and the fantastic service. I recommend this Jamba Juice, great location.

16th Street Mall was unusually crowded (must have been a product of the nice weather) and I was having a serious bout of 'oh-crap-I-don't-want-to-sit-at-a-table-alone-in-a-suit-and-have-people-stare-at-me' syndrome. So I decided to grab something quick and go shopping instead. Jamba Juice is always the perfect accessory for power-shopping. It's quick, filling (but light at the same time), portable, and non-messy. (Note: non-messy food is key for people who want to sip their lunch while browsing through the sale racks at Banana Republic.) Oh...and bonus points for Jamba Juice: their snack items have changed! Instead of "interesting" pizza protein bars, they now have several kinds of pretzels, oat bars, and muffins. They actually looked edible. Edible is good. :)

I've been backing Jamba Juice for around 10 years now. They sprung up all over Arizona during my tenure there. Back in the day, it was part of my daily routine and still lends itself to step 2 of my "Three Step Hangover Cure". The orange berry blitz is amazing. Go ahead and get whatever boost will make you feel better about yourself. Go with the regular- the "power" is "ridiculous". No need to try one of their pretzels or other snacks - stick with the juice Sometimes it's annoying that the average employee is 16 years old, but the deliciousness of the shakes make up for it.

  • Penelope W.

Ooh Jamba Juice..Yum. Ooh big shaker uppers (for the juice explosion of like, 1999. Please. I prefer my juice ORGANIC, thank you. Now that i live in Boulder I know the fruits and veg are just not healthy for you unless they are that way. That's why I shop at Whole Foods. I wish you would reconsider. But Actually...Jamba does serve up a dank (and HUGE) cup of smooth for a right price. (I think you can purchase an almost 48 ounce drink, k?) So drink up, get back to work, but you will need some digesting time before going on that middle-age-d Denver twilight jog : )

First of all, I want to say that this low rating is NOT due to the wonderfully helpful employees, nor the yummy products that they produce. My complaint is with Jamba Juice's management and their failure to provide these hardworking people with acceptable working conditions. Today the air conditioning in the store was broken. Again. This is the second time I have noticed it and through my idle chatting with the employees it seems that this has become a habitual problem. It must have been 90 degrees, humid, in the store today. At least. There was a fan in the back corner oscillating, but not doing hardly anything to improve the heat. It was stifling. The poor workers were doing their best to keep up with orders. But their faces were flushed, they looked exhausted and dehydrated, and like they could barely stand. I would imagine that many of those people had to endure the heat for 8+ hours today, and who knows if they got a break. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. I called the district manager for Colorado today and left a message about this problem. In my message, I related how urgent it was that someone address the problem, since today, Friday, is the start of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, when many people who WOULD be able to help will not be working. My calls to the corporate office in California were met with a message that the office was closed so that the desk staff "could spend time with their families." Awww. Isn't that sweet. The desk workers get to spend quality time with their families, spending their cushy salaries on pools and other nice cold activities, while the bottom rung of the corporate ladder gets to swelter in the awful heat with hardly a break. In the broken-down store that Jamba built. So, my last call of the day was to leave a message on OSHA's voicemail. You know, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. No doubt the feds will have too much red tape in their system for my call to be of any relief to the poor workers at this store this weekend. But I will continue to complain to as many government agencies and Better Business Bureaus as it takes until SOMEBODY at Jamba Juice Corporate can take a moment away from their precious families and call the air conditioning repairman, and have a slight care for the welfare of the little guy. All work must have dignity. DIGNITY. Dignity means providing workers with a safe, clean, comfortable working environment, paying them a living wage, and making sure they know they are valued. THIS SITUATION IS UNSAFE AND UNACCEPTABLE. JAMBA JUICE, FIX IT. NOW!!!!!!! Or you won't see me darkening the doors of ANY of your locations ever again. I won't support a company who doesn't care about its employees.

As it began spitting snow in Denver, a friend and I ran in to Jamba Juice and ordered smoothies. I don't think we have Jamba Juice anywhere close to where I live, so I had really wanted to try it. I guess I'm pretty naive: I thought I'd be able to purchase fresh juice. (Come on. The name is deceptive.) Upon an employee's recommendation, I ordered the Caribbean Passion. I didn't like it. To me, there was nothing novel about taken frozen fruit and sherbet and blending it together. Blech.

Simply refreshing! When I don't feel like muching on something greasy or just have gone too many days without eating a decent meal, I go to Jamba Juice for a resfreshing smoothing and if I feel daring a shot of wheatgrass. You have got to try the Acai super Charger but try the Peenya Kowlada or Mighty Cherry Charger instead if you don't like getting berry bits in your teeth.
