i love that they use natural beef from Colorado ... but I wish the food was better. They should take a cue from Burgerville out in Oregon/Washington and make it spectacular. To me, they just haven't nailed the taste of the burgers. They strike me as mediocre fast-food. I will go back, however, because their meats are oh so much better than other joints around town.

Damn good mini burgers--can't think of their name, and the custard? I love it! I'll never get my weight down.

Sooooooooooooo...Good Times. Is it really "Good Times"?? I'll say this -- they do more right than wrong. It'll never crush, for example, Crown Burgers. It's better than Wendy's and McD's, in my tastes. I go half-and-half between here and BK for burgers -- BK can grill up a mighty tasty burger. But Good Times has things BK will never have: *) Frozen custard, multiple flavored toppings, that make a fine substitute for crack for any foodie. I believe the correct term is "Om Nom Nom". (Large, please...) *) They've combined with Santiago's and other local businesses (I guess since 2011, from perusing their website) to make their edibles even more tasty. On tap right now: Colorado Grilled Onion Sliders, Patty Melts, and Santiago's Green Chile Cheese Fries - these are limited time only and rotate out. *) Premium quality, 100% all natural beef burgers. Not whatever gristle-filled "100% USDA beef" McDonald's serves -- particularly in their low-end burgers. Doesn't matter what level you pick here, it's *all* good beef. *) They're making an effort, corporately, to try different things and stay fresh and give people a reason to come back. And that's cool. *) Their menu display panels often have a cheeky, sassy sense of humor. As does the large billboard prominently visible from both sides of S Colorado Blvd as you drive past. It may have some typos in from time to time, but I like an urban, flippant sense of humor that you feel like you're on the inner circle of -- even if that inner circle is thousands of people wide. *) Banana shakes during the summertime. REAL ones. Oook ook!!! So refreshing, and so...well...they make them out of... *) ...Did I mention the crack they serve here?! I mean, sorry, the frozen custard!!! (With rotating daily flavors, and seasonal awesome flavors, when those times come.) *) Holiday time sweet potato fries. With optional icing glaze and dusting of cinnamon sugar. (I did mention the crack, didn't I? Om nom nom!) I just had the 3 limited time onion sliders and the green chile cheese fries. The sliders were quite tasty, but I was disappointed in the spartan amount of green chile added to my order; in fact, I actually had to scour for it. That's not cool, GT. I'm not gonna say it's healthy, but it's *healthier* than most drive-through fast food chains. (And I'm *definitely* not gonna say it's low-carb, low-fat, OR low-calorie.)

Don't be fooled by the "boneless buffalo wings". They're not wings, just chicken tenders with buffalo sauce that is not that good, way too much vinegar.

We were on our way home after a night out on the town and wanted late night food. We got a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, onion rings and green chile cheese fries. It hot the spot after a night spent drinking and bar hopping. A much better option than the average fast food drive through for sure.

Great strawberry milkshake. Especially when I had a sore throat. Great service.

So, my spouse and I tried to go through the drive-thru at Good Times to get a late night ice cream. Since the words "Frozen Custards" are in the name of the place and they have billboards all over town bragging on their frozen treats, we assumed this would be a pretty easy task. When we got into the drive-thru, the voice on the other end said, "Take your time. Order when ready." A few minutes later we tried to place an order, at which point the voice said, "We're out of custard." No apology, just a matter of fact tone suggesting that it is perfectly normal for a business that specializes in custard to be out of custard. I doubt we'll give this place another shot since that was such an obnoxious experience.

So, I'm a little embarrassed to Yelp a Good Times...but here I am....Yelping. This is the second location (uhhh...out of four?) that I patronize. Being a long-time resident of California, I'm a huge fan of In-N-Out, which can never be replaced, or even emulated successfully. But, this has left a huge, gaping hole in my life for quick, "healthy" burgers. Enter Good Times. I appreciate the fact that it's a CO company, using 100% natural Coleman beef that has never been frozen. I happen to love sliders, and the Bambinos from Good Times do not disappoint. When you've had a long night of drinking, nothing sops it up inside like a 3-pack of these little buddies. Stay away from the chicken bambinos, however. They're just boring. The wild fries are good, though I'm not a fan of the dipping sauce. I'll just take ketchup, thanks. While it's difficult for me to order anything besides Bambinos, the Buffalo Chicken Sammich is yummy also! Ditto for their spoonbenders (a rare treat for me, simply because I know they're not low-fat!) - particularly the raspberry torte. So Good Times, you'll always have my business. You just temporarily fill the void for me, at a good price to boot!

I have listened to the bf, J, talk about a childhood of Good Times for years. So maybe I had my hopes up when we arrived here for lunch. I wasn't totally disappointed. The beef tasted really good since they apparently use such fresh natural beef. The burger itself, however, wasn't anything awe-inspiring, just kind of missing its mark. The fries were okay, but extremely greasy, even for a fast food joint. I did like the frozen custard, but I felt that I was skimped on the amount of hot fudge on my sundae. I mean, man, if I order hot fudge, by God, I want hot fudge!! But the service was really nice--I'd give five stars to that--and this spot was definitely better than your average fast food stop.

they really don't deserve four stars. but they're getting four anyway. the burgers aren't very good. i remember once when we got some take out from there, they gave me my burger - with no patty. huh. but when we drove back, they gave me a free spoonbender. the spoonbenders / sundaes / custard = hence the four stars. plus, they're wild fries are pretty dang tasty. what is it all made out of? probably a few unnecessary additives, but you know what, it's delicious. the mud pie sundae is mmm mmm mmmm. i've been through the drive thru recently with my girlfriend who is obsessed with their sweet potato waffle fries - and while i haven't been able to try them yet (stupid special diet) they smell, look, and sound delicious. that's right. sound. talk about crunchy.

For Californians, In-N-Out is a religion, a sacred institution. As a Colorado native, I say if you put your religion aside and just concentrate on the food, Good Times wins, hands-down. In-N-Out: Long wait, boring burgers. No options. No bacon, no BBQ, no guac. No custard. No wild fries. A menu? Why give customers a menu? They'll eat what we cook, and they'll like it. Good Times: The best fast food. Ever.

Other Yeeps had talked up the breakfast burritos. I finally tried them recently and came back a few days in a row to try all 3 meat ones. Of those, the chorizo was my favorite. Good amount of egg and green chili. The bacon one was also quite good. The sausage one seemed heavy on potato and light on green chili. Haven't tried the one without meat yet (potato/egg/cheese), but bet it's good too. Prior to trying the breakfast burritos, I was hooked on their shakes. The blackberry one is insanely good for fast food. Right now they have some holiday flavors and I might need to try the pumpkin and/or the peppermint. The one time I had a burger, it was good too. They have a walk-up window, which is convenient since it's within walking distance of work. I've also hit the drive-thru. Service has always been pleasant and quick.

I haven't eaten here in yeArs, not huge into fast food. Today I was craving a burger and was driving past so I Decided to stop. Mistake. Not only was the chick behind the glass totally rude and lacking any smile what so ever, the food was disgusting. Hamburger- they added so much mayo I had to remove it - gross. And the lettuce they put in the burger was recently frozen and had thawed -- it was still cold and wilted. The taste of this burger was subpar at best. That's being polite and giving. I threw it out. I was going to say something to the drive through girl, but it's apparent that the people who serve this crap care less about customer service than they do about the food they're slinging. I learned my lesson, stick w the better burger joints. I won't be back . Poor service. Crappy food. Lose/lose.

Seriously, who eats this? Just flew in from home in Sonoma County and I am pretty dang appalled by what i saw when I opened the foil packaging around my Mushroom Swiss burger. Is this place "trying" to give Denver a heart attack, singlehandedly? Grease soaks the bun through. Sponge-like. I dont understand this place.

Great Breakfast Burritos, I CRAVE them. The chirozo is def. The best burrito although all the others are good too. FYI, You have to go before 10am to get a burrito. I like the fact that they tell you your order is being made freah in 90secs or less. Not a huge fan of their burgers and fries amd no indoor seating but quite a bit of outdoor seating.

    (4)
  • Eric F.

This is a classic fast good place, with some delicious ice cream. There is no inside seating, they have se outside tables or drive-thru. The food is pretty decent and nice for a quick snack.

I've only come here for shakes and the occasional sundae. Each time I order the same thing: a peanut butter shake. That's a shake, with peanut butter added (per the menu). And each time, each person I get, they don't know what on earth I'm talking about and they go out of their way to make it seem like I'm just some idiot who's never seen the menu. If that's not enough, every single shake has had to be re-blended so that is actually was a shake and not just a cup of custard with a flavor shot splattered across the top. So I started tonight by ordering the shake be "double blended" which apparently is beyond comprehension and I had to explain that I wanted them to blend it twice. This explanation was met with so much sass you could squirt it atop a cup of custard and pass it off as a "shake" from Goodtimes. Slow service, rude employees, good custard but so not worth the hassle.

I wish I could do no stars. Worst experience ever. Burger wasn't terrible but service was worse than the worst Walmart I've ever been too. I ordered ketchup mustard and onions. I get home it's drowned in mayo with pickles and lettuce. I call to tell the manager his workers don't know how to read the screen and he blows me off twice. First time he tells me to call back and he will get my info so I get a free burger next time (probably would have been tomorrow) so I call back 10 minutes later. He tells me to hold for "5 seconds" so I agree. Then he hangs up on me. I signed up for help just for this terrible experience.

it is Good Times. It is near my work. I get a breakfast burrito when Colorado Blvd decides to let me make a left turn.

Consistently bad service if you go here after 8pm. The food and service here has turned me off of Goodtimes. I used to really love it. Goodtimes should not be ruining my day like this one has. The lady running the microphone seems to try to go out of her way to not be comprehendible. This time I sat at the window for 3 songs to play over the radio. My fries sat in the bag for 2 songs. So great, COLD fries. Cold Burger. AWESOME!

Oh...my guilty pleasure. But I don't feel so guilty anymore after reading the write up in 5280. Good Times is a CO company started here many years ago. The keep it in CO too. The beef is raised here, and is all natural. They are going to be using humanely raised chicken too. The dairy used for frozen custard comes from Denver's Robinson Dairy. Good Times has hooked up with Santiago's for the chili cheese fries...and there you have it. My number one guilty pleasure. Those ooey, gooey, spicy, cheesy, fresh cut fries. Oh my! They are awesome. Apparently they cut the fries every morning. And you can tell. They taste so fresh. Just recently I discovered that Good Times has new healthier menu. It is small, but it's not bad. The lemon Ceaser salad is very good. They also have a grilled portobella sandwich that I have to try. I like that they have a menu with smaller items as well. Kind of like a mini cheeseburger and small portion of fries. The jalapeno craver isn't bad, when I crave a burger and need a fix (not too often, but good to know it's not too indulgent because it's so small). Another reason why I love Good Times is the Pawbender. My little pug devours these. They use peanut butter custard and top it with some peanuty sauce and a dog treat! Proceeds from Pawbender sales go to local shelters. I think that is just awesome. And so does the pug. He loves to ride along. The staff love him too. The last time we went, the girl asked if he could come to the window, she gave him extra treats, then gave me a handful to take along. He's the King for sure when we go to Good Times.

Oh my goodness - this is the worst Good Times location in Denver. Besides the fact that when you drive up the speaker is way too loud, tonight our server could barely speak English which translated into squawking. It was awful. But the funniest part is when we asked for a Kids burger meal - with cheese and add bacon. The lady says, "we don't have that kind of kids meal." OKay... hello - upsale much? When we finally drive up to the window to pick up our food the employees inside are screwing around and don't appear to be spending much time making burgers. All this to say that when we got home with our food - our order was completely wrong... but could we expect anything less??? Bummer because I like Good Times. I won't be returning to this sorry location. It was awful.

I am new to Denver and love this chain of drive thrus. Chicken strips with honey mustard, bbq bacon cheese burger slider and mushroom burger are my favs. Always nice staff and some fun changing options. Great when you are on the go.

I frequent this Good Times often because its in walking distance to my house. The Burgers and Drinks and Custard is on par with every other Good Times i have been to. The Problem at this one is the staff. They always mess up your order and it takes so long for them to make it. Ive ordered the Simplest thing and people who had more food got it before me. On One occasion they called my Number i showed them my reciept and still gave my burger to someone else. Its just a big mess everytime i go to this one. I would rather drive out of my way to eat at another one then visit this one anymore.

Just left with excitement to eat the chicken tenders. For a $7 meal, the three chicken tenders were the size of three small nuggets from a competitor. Really disappointed the chicken was so small and few considering the cost.

I am visiting on vacation with my family passed this place several times and kids kept asking to try the custard. I finally gave in and glad I did . It's local and they have natural beef and hormone free chicken. If I had to eat fast food would go here for that. Got hot fudge sundae and vanilla custard cups, hand cut chili fries they were sooo good. Did not try burgers or chicken but bet it would be good.

I am trying to get off of sugar, and I'm a vegan..... I don't eat milk products so I'm really falling off the wagon whole heatedly by eating the frozen custard. OMG! They are so good. Seriously I've had 4 in the past four days. (Don't tell Buddha, I really am a very good vegan Buddhist.) If you're into ice cream you'll love the sweet treats here. I can't speak for their other food, I don't eat meat and try very hard to stay away from white flour buns, (no nutritional value.) I probably shouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The country really needs to eat healthier. This place is contributing to America's huge obesity problem.

For fast food burgers, this place is great! They're burgers are flavorful and delicious. The frozen custard is a winning combination. I wish they had more flavors available at a time, and I also wish the custard was a little thicker and colder. They did away with the fries we liked! Unfortunate but we still really like this place.

  • Kathleen A.

Man, I was hoping this place would be so much better than it actually was. I was a bit let down at how "ok" the food was. The fries were gross and reminded me of Denny's seasoned fries, but worse. Perhaps I'd go back to try the frozen custard though.

I think Good Times is a great local fast food chain. While I haven't been back specifically for the burgers in quite some time, I remember they were pretty tasty. They make them with Coleman beef and they change the menu up frequently, so you can pick from several very different burgers. But what I really love about Good Times is the frozen custard! It has an unbelievably smooth and creamy texture that surpasses gelato in my opinion. While some of the flavors aren't my favorite, the Oregon blackberry is sensational. Come in on a Tuesday to try some!

For all of you who like CUSTARD, this is not the place!!!!! It is ok for a fast food joint - what you would expect from a run-of-the mill place. Seriously! if you want some great custard, GO TO CLOUD 9 OFF OF 8TH AVE AND COLORADO BLVD . They will rock your world when it comes to Custard. The burgers here are ok - they are a good upgrade from McDeath or Burger King, but it is still a fast food joint lacking good service. I am not impressed by this place.

Alright, enough dissin' of the Good Times. I know you East Coasters and Chicagyites got killer burger chains, but, fer the luvagod, cut us Coloradyans some slack here. This chain is HEADS AND TAILS above the other fast-food burger joints out here. I had a Deluxe w/ cheese just the other day, and it was........SUBLIME. Juicy meat, crisp veggies, NICE tomato slice, PURPLE ONION slice, pickles, fresh bun.....LIGHT-YEARS ahead of the competiton. Granted, the fries suck, honestly, Mickey-D's has the best fries, but other than that? Shit, if it wasn't such a PITA, I'd get a Deluxe w/ cheese @ Good Times, then drive to Mickey D's fer the fries. As for the complaints about the custard, why are you going to Good Times for ice cream? Jesuschrist, ya ever hear of Baskin Robbins/DairyQueen/Haagen-Dasz/Baum's, etc.?
