Dang the other Yelp! reviewers for introducing this place to me. The frozen custard is highly addictive and we live way to close to this place for this to be a good thing. I like the pecan cluster spoonbender the best. The burgers, fries, etc are rather horrible. Tasteless, greasy and generally not worth the heart attack they will surely give you. Skip the mains and go for dessert instead. This particular location is on a particularly bleak section of N. Federal. Nothing to see here folks, get it to go and eat it down in Rocky Mountain Park a few blocks to the south

I didnt eat a meal here but I heard their burgers are good. What pulled me in was the sign saying they had Frozen Custard--a delicacy we don't have in San Diego so I get it every opportunity when I travel. I ordered vanilla with the intention I would go back again before I left Denver to try another flavor, but didn't make it back. The vanilla was no disappointment--it was smooth and creamy and tasted just right! So at least I got my Frozen Custard fix to tide me over till I get back to the Midwest to have more again.

Solid option on the way back into town from Eldorado Springs pool - service was quick, food was hot, tasty and fresh, even during the mid-afternoon slowdown on a Friday. A good chain option that tries to connect with regional food and make it affordable. Fresh fries, cold shake, spicy pickles - bam. Will keep an eye out for these in the future as we explore Colorado - a clutch joint.

    1. This review is for this location only! 2. I'm a foody with sense: I only eat junk and fast food when I have to (it's not a "treat") and I expect value according to money spent. I've eaten at 5 star restaurants, have dropped $300 for two and walked out well-satisfied, but that's stratospheric for my usual lifestyle, rarely have I had that kind of coin to drop. And ordinarily, I'd never bother reviewing a fast food restaurant at all, because I don't see the point. Something has to stand out - good or bad - to get me to expend the time to write one of these. 3. Hint: It wasn't something good. Mostly, I'm griping about the fries today. Hot, yes, but also so thoroughly grease-saturated that the texture was like flaming hot rubber. Some salt would have been nice. Yes, ordinarily, french fries are served salted in this country. I get that everybody in the fast food business has been getting gigged for their high sodium levels and all that, but let's be honest with each other: if I were in a mood for healthy food, I would not be in your drive-thru, I would be at home making a kick-ass salad. I had one for lunch yesterday, it was awesome. But I wasn't in the mood for a kick-ass salad for lunch today, perversely, and rarely for me, I was in the mood for a nice hot cheeseburger, some hot, salty french fries, and a Coke, all-Amurrican stylee. I changed my mind away from the sugary temptation to iced tea, and that was my one nod toward health on this meal. After that... optimized-maillard-reaction-bombs away! That's right, I've watched my Alton Brown shows, I know what's up with what's going brown. *ahem* I'm expecting a certain sodium level as part of the whole fast food burger experience, see? Now, aside from the larger picture of how the overall quality from Good Times has been slowly but steadily slipping since about 1 year after you guys appeared on the market, I can usually expect french fries that are done by the book, so to speak. You know: the three-ring binder that explains how to make fries correctly? If you haven't seen it, I bet your regional manager can scare up a copy. _SOMEONE_ in your outfit knows how, because I've had them from most of your stores and they were no worse than, and usually better than, the competitions. So here's your free Secret Shopper moment, someone at this location is asleep at the wheel. How hard is it to make french fries consistently? Training? Bigger cartoon icons on the fryer controls? ESL classes? I dunno the solution, that's your problem, it's FRENCH FRIES, FFS, FIX IT, IT'S PART OF YOUR CORE COMPETENCIES. BTW, if you put salt on the french fries - any salt at all - customers may buy more or larger drinks? Betcha thought of that one already. Seriously, limp as noodles, they could have passed for freshly boiled pasta. Ew.

We needed some late night quick food since we got here so late and this place came up as the highest rated nearby. It's a fast food joint but it was better than most I have ever tried, and they have frozen custard! I got the chicken on ciabatta and frozen cookies and cream custard. Both were great. The fresh cut fries were also really tasty and soft and mushy just the way I like them. The customer service was pretty good and quick. While I only eat fast food under dire circumstances and when there are no other options I probably won't be eating here again, but if I am in that situation this will definitely be an option.

I generally stay away from reviewing fast food chains - but considering that Good Times is basically a Colorado-only chain (with a couple of locations out of state), I'm going to break my rule. We were out in Denver on vacation, and after driving through some decidedly "sketchy" neighborhoods in search of food we came upon Good Times. With hunger overtaking us, burgers and custard looked too good to pass up. The menu was considered, and I ordered a Big Daddy bacon cheeseburger with fries and some vanilla custard with caramel topping. Positives: -Great tasting greasy fast food burgers. The "Wild Dippin" sauce on the burger made it even better. -Smooth and creamy custard. Delicious. Negatives: -There is no dining room to eat in...it's either outside or in your car. On this particular beautiful May day, it was not a negative. While you probably won't get the best burger in town, it certainly fits the bill as a solid local burger chain. There are plenty of locations in the Denver area, so you don't have to travel through some of the more questionable areas of town like we did.
