Tried this place for the first time today- got there a little after 8 and there was not a ton left but still a decent selection. I got a Samoa and a root beer float, the Samoa was delicious as expected, and I was surprised how much I liked the root beer float, the flavor was not too intense just a subtle root beer flavor and it was awesome! The dough itself is also really good!

After reading the reviews and pics this was one my list of places to visit while in town and the donuts are amazing! The Samoa tastes just like the cookie, the grilly D tastes like roasted marshmallows and the ice cold milk was the perfect match! So yummy you must come try!

My bf and I got there just in time before they closed ... unfortunately there were only three kinds remaining, but at least we got BOGO pricing. We decided on these: G&C Plain Glaze: Vanilla Infuzed Brown Butter Glaze Raspberry glaze with chocolate mousse filling Even though we only ordered 2, we got a box container to hold them which was very nice. We were too full to eat this immediately, so we had to eat this after coming home from Jurassic World as a midnight snack. They were still good, surprisingly! But didn't wow either of us, though. We both preferred the Vanilla over the raspberry one.

Let me start by saying holy sh*t this place is expensive. We bought four donuts for $12, but we knew going in it was expensive. Just something to be aware of. We went around 11am on a Sunday and the service was awesome. They didn't have a very wide selection left, but we picked our four and the guy said he's doubling everyone's order for free because he's trying to get rid of the donuts. I felt a little better getting 8 donuts for $12, but it would've been nice if he had just charged us for two instead. The vanilla bean grilled donut was quite gross. It had this weird underlining taste to it that almost made it taste bitter. My wife said their bacon was the best bacon she'd had in a long time. The Samoa donut was alright. Nothing too exciting. The lemon donut was alright as well. Overall nothing really exciting. Their donuts did have some weight to them.

I've had their donuts before (thanks to my brother picking them up) - but the one time I come in - they're sold out of damn near everything. Thankfully, I had the "Sweet & salty" donut (is that right?) - it was delicious, and the coffee was good. HOWEVER. The dude was super friendly - it's father's day, it's 9am, and they're almost out of donuts, and offering up free Grilly D's for Father's Day - that's cool - but they were understaffed, because of some wine and food event in Aspen. So, Father's Day. Next to no donuts. And willfully understaffing or underpreparing? It felt that way, and I watched just as many people leave pissed off. I feel they could have prepared better for this.

First of all when I walked in I was greeted in such a great way that it made me feel completely welcome, I don't know the guy's name but it was a younger guy, props to him. I came in with my son around 12:58 on a Thursday so there was choices on donuts but maybe like 7 or 8 total, I still got a good pick of the confused Samoa for myself and the strawberry delight for my little guy and I liked them both with some milk to go with them. The place was pretty quiet which is what I prefer and it seems that it's good for groups as a chill spot since it's pretty roomy. I loved that they had a children's table with some toys for the wee ones to play with, makes me feel like they care about all the customers.

Very impressed with this place and their customer service. I called yesterday (6.5 - national doughnut day...who knew?!) to see if they had vegan doughnuts. Unfortunately, by the time I called at around 8am, they were already out for the day. The person I spoke to told me they normally do vegan doughnuts on Wednesdays and Fridays. The person apologized, stating they didn't know they were going to be so busy, and I thought that was the end of it. A few minutes later, the same person (not sure of his name) called me back and said they will be carrying vegan doughnuts all weekend. Awesome. I dropped by today and asked for the vegan doughnuts. The person behind the counter told me they didn't have any that day. I explained to him my phone conversation from the day prior and he went in the back to ask. Turns out, they are making them, they just weren't ready and would be in a few minutes. Perhaps a team huddle at the beginning of the day/shift change would be helpful and help alleviate potential communication issues like that. I waited around and ended up getting two. They are running a special this weekend buy one, get one 99 cents. The doughnuts were delicious. Nothing fancy but the strawberry glaze was excellent. They are extremely pricey ($3.50/doughnut), especially considering what you get. The vegan doughnuts are the same price as the fancy gourmet doughnuts with all of the fun, various toppings, versus the vegan with just a regular strawberry glaze. That being said, I feel like I get more out of a bakery like Beetbox where I can get things like croissants, bear claws, cupcakes, etc, for the same price versus a plain glazed doughnut. However, I do appreciate a regular, non-vegan place offering vegan items because, as a recent transplant to Colorado, I've been surprised by the lack of vegan options around here. 4 stars for the good doughnuts and awesome customer service, I really appreciate the person calling me back and letting me know they would have vegan doughnuts all weekend.

I can see why this place is named one of the top donut joints in America. The store itself is spacious and welcoming, and a refreshing setting to the surrounding area. The flavors are as youthful and vibrant as the store, and as delicious as the shops that have been around for decades. The dough is moist and soft and easy to get into. Despite the variety of flavors that you can choose, I still felt that the dough/cake stood out. The frostings were not overbearing and eclectic enough to cover anyone's flavor preferences. I tried about seven different flavors, but my favorites might be the Mac & Nut, Vanilla Bean, and Bfast of Champs. They have special flavors circulated everyday it seems, so there must be so many more delicious flavors to try. The Co-owners were also very welcoming and friendly. They treated us Out-of-Staters like champs for all the donuts we had, but we were the ones really appreciative of the whole experience. This place is BOMB, and definitely one of the better donut places in all the States.

I'm in a total doughnut-induced food coma right now, but I think I can make it through a review. Today I finally had some G&C! I've stopped in a few times around 10am and they were already sold out of gluten free, so today I planned to be there around 7, and the doughnuts were actually coming out of the kitchen as I got there! Since I had to wait just a few minutes for them to come out from the kitchen, I was offered a free cup of coffee, which was Pablo's coffee and it was delicious. I left with some Breakfast of Champions and a Samoa. So so so so so good. The bacon on the BofC is cooked perfectly, and the chocolate drizzle and coconut on the Samoa is to die for. Amazing customer service, amazing product, and a reasonable price.I gotta say I'm really shocked at the reviews complaining about the price of the doughnuts. There's a King Soopers right across the street of you want plain, regular, cheap doughnuts. When you come to a specialty place, you pay. And these prices are on par with other speciality doughnuts in Denver, so it's extra shitty to give a bad review because of the price. Thanks for a great treat on a May snow day!

Went in on a Wednesday around 10AM and they only had 4 kinds of donuts left... was pretty disappointed as their hours don't really allow for you to visit later in the day. If I can ever make it there early, I will try again.

Hate to sound like debbie downer (whomp), but I think I had too much hype before trying this place out. My husband wanted a donut, and I wanted to try glazed and confused, so we went for it. We were there at 10:30-11 on a Saturday and was surprised by the lack of donut diversity we encountered. I wanted to see all the beautiful spectacles I see on their page! Nonetheless, we went for the breakfast of champz, and my husband chose the vanilla bean and I chose the chocolate gluten free donut. We also bought two drinks and the total came out to 18 bucks (huh?). The bacon was slightly overcooked in the donut, but I did like the flavor of the donut. It wasn't dry but it wasn't exceptional. Then again, I'm not a professional donut eater with standards here, but I felt it was a typical donut with a pretty price tag. I liked the decor and customer service was great, but I'm okay with payment as long as I felt like the meal worked for it's cost, and it fell short for me here.

Last time I came here they ran out of donuts (10 am on a Sunday), so I got here right when they opened at 6 and had my pick of the litter! Got their Cronut, Samoa, Mexican chocolate, Samoa, strawberry shortcake, and regular chocolate / vanilla. I wouldn't write home about the regular frosted ones ($2 each). However the specially flavors are tasty and unique. The Samoa was my fav (just like the Girl Scout cookie), as was the Cronut (up to $5 for specialty flavors). The cookies and cream was a bit dry (sandwich donut) and the shortcake was solid. As mentioned in other reviews, these are slightly pricier than normal fare. They are large and rather dense donuts, so one will really fill you up. Worth the price? I got 7 for $25. Best to buy 12 to get your 25% off --- I would opt for the specialty stiff over the traditional ones. I'm a monster donut eater and would still consider voodoo my fav in Denver, but this spot has some unique flavors and is worth being tossed into one's donut regimen.

I had to travel a bit off the beaten path to get here... In the snow uphill and downhill both ways. I settled in and went with 3 different donuts: the plain glazed, the breaking banana bread, and the strawberries and cream. The glazed was a good donut, exactly what you would expect. When you do a glazed donut right, it makes me want to try some of your fancier things. Next was the banana bread. I didn't particularly like this one because it suffers an identity crisis. It's a cake donut that is more chewy than cakey which makes you think it is a really dense raised donut. It was just weird. The last, the strawberries and cream was awesome. The strawberry glaze is made with fresh strawberries and you can really taste them! All of this and my 2% milk -- that's one gripe. Of the three donut places I have been to in the Denver area, none of them carry whole milk! Whatever. As I sat down to mack on my donuts, ice cube's today was a good day came on. Kind of a perfect morning for me.

Average doughnuts with exuberant prices. Over $16 for five doughnuts? If you're going to charge that much for a doughnut, I better be amazed. It's not that they're bad, they're not good either. The combination of just okay doughnuts at that price point left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't get the hype! The doughnuts for that cost are two stars, the extra star is for the good customer service.

Cool place to taste hand-crafted, tasty, gourmet donuts. My son and I stumbled on this place as we like to try "new to us" places on the weekends. Lately, we have been on a mission to try doughnut spots and found this one to be pretty neat. Service is good, place is clean, coffee is decent, and there is usually plenty of places to sit and places to park. We have a been back a couple of times and the experience has been consistent. Breakfast of Champs is a nice blend of savory and sweet and the Puffynuts (my favorite), although a bit more expensive, is quite tasty. We have tried a few different kinds of donuts here and so far, have liked them all. If you like donuts and decent coffee, this is a good spot and, if you go during happy hour, they offer a BOGO, which is awesome.

They have these amazing flavors in gluten free as well! Call the day before to find out what they have and if you want a special order just let them know, Benjamin the co owner allowed me to order ahead of time! So awesome!

I went to Glazed & Confuzed brick and mortar establishment since we are in the neighborhood. That recent visit was on Wednesday December 17th 2014. Time was about 10:30hrs ish. My friend has not had her breakfast yet, so we decide to have some coffee and she had one of the Bacon Maple Donuts. My friend like her order of Donuts, and ever since our last visit to this establishment she had been back to Glazed & Confuzed for several times by now. From what I could recall I ordered 1 dozen of Donuts either for personal consumption and for Hubs. That morning, Glazed & Confuzed offered the following donuts that I choose to purchase : * The Gable, a Ginger Bread Cake Donut with an Apple Caramel Glaze and finished with a Gingerbread Man Cookie ($4.00) * 2 Sufganiyot Doughnuts with Homemade Strawberry Preserves and Organic Powdered Sugar ($3.50) * 2 Root Beer Float Donuts, Freshed Brewed Root Beer Glaze with a Vanilla Custard Filling ($4.00), hence for 2 is ($8.00) * Vegan Strawberry Donut ($3.50) * Vegan Chocolate Donut ($3.50) * 2 G&C Chocolate Glaze: Vanilla Infuzed Brown Butter Glaze ($2.00), hence its ($4.00) * Mocha ($3.50) * Grilled D ($3.00) * Salted Santa ($3.50) * 16 oz Coffee ($2.50) Hence its like 3.5 stars in my books, coz I like the "Gingerbread" Man Donut and the Root Beer Float Donuts. For the Root Beer Donuts, the flavor of the Root Beer is too subtle, though I was hoping for more Root Beer Flavor in those.. As for Hubs he rated it as 3.5 stars. Some is good, some is just OK and some its too sweet for his sweet tooth cravings. If I am NOT mistaken, that morning, the staff who handled my transaction of purchase, his name is Steve G. With 12 Donuts purchase, THEN you can get a discount. Its good if you can share all those donuts with families and friends. Prices can be steep for some aka "expensive" but those Donuts are BIGGER than what we are used to. All in all, we don't mind returning when needed to explore on what they have to offer, since sometimes the variety of donuts do vary. While I am there with my friend, this establishment is kept clean and the décor is bright. Its, spacious to chill out with friend over Coffee or Tea with Donuts.. Great donuts, but not the best price. I visited Glazed and Confused after seeing the reviews on Yelp. The donuts were great and the staff were friendly and attentive! I had the glazed and the chocolate puff cronut. They were delicious! However, the price was a little over-the-top. I did not realize the cronut was $5. I don't think I've ever paid more than $1 for a donut, and I was a bit surprised here. They were definitely good, but not something I could or would pay for on a regular basis.

Oh my god. These doughnuts are amazing!!! Best I've had in Denver so far. Great flavor with an awesome and unique variety. I'm taking back a star from my 5 stars because of their hours. THEY SUCK. They're closed on Mondays!? What the hell, why. Do stoners really fun this place? I mean, when they are open, they're open fairly early. But they're still closed before 4... so... I mean, who really NEEDS a doughnut after 2 pm, but what if you just want one! I guess that's when you take your business somewhere else. It's a shame because the doughnuts I had there were great. But even then, they were low on inventory. I just wish they could step up their game or they'd be the best in town for sure.

I will freely admit that donuts are not my thing. I'm more of an eggs and bacon girl for breakfast. Glazed and Confused has intrigued me for some time and it's so close to home I just had to make a visit. I was celebrating a turning point with my doggie and decided it was the perfect excuse to buy donuts for my team at work. I walked in to Glazed and Confused around 7:15am on a Tuesday and I was one of three people in the store. The store is very large and would easily fit a large donut tasting group (if there is one). I took my time perusing the donut case which was full of delicious sounding donuts. The woman behind the counter was friendly and willing to answer all my questions, I had quite a few. I was buying for a group so I opted to mix and match 18 donuts. The flavors I choose were: Samoa (like the Girl Scout cookie) Oh My Pecan Pie Sweet & Salty Grilled (spicy) Pop Goes Lemon Breakfast of Champz (Maple Bacon) Sprinkle Chocolate Glazed Plain Glazed Hot Apple Root Beer Float I was not able to try all the flavors, my flavor of choice was the Oh My Pecan Pie which was a cakey donut not overly sweet topped with sweet and salty crusted pecans. I could eat that every day, so dangerous. From my co-workers, the favorites were the Samoa that was drizzled with chocolate and topped with toasted coconut, the Breakfast of Champz, the boys snatched these right up and groaned in pleasure as they inhaled the bacon and maple goodness, and the Root Beer Float was a crowd pleaser and those that had this one swore it tasted just like a Root Beer Float - who knew. I was very happy with Glazed and Confused and would definitely come here for donuts again if I was inspired. Inspiration may come sooner than later. *Tip #1 - One dozen or more donuts and you will receive 25% off your entire purchase! *Tip #2 - On the bottom of your receipt you get a coupon for one free signature donut between Tuesday-Friday.

Instant fan! I called on Saturday to confirm that they made gluten free doughnuts. The lady that answered the phone was so so nice, she assured me that they make GF doughnuts a few times a week, in various flavors. She even said she would put a few aside for me on Sunday morning. So I came in on sunday morning and there were two GF flavors, chocolate frosted and vanilla bean. They were DELICIOUS. They tasted exactly like the doughnuts I have been missing out on since I stopped eating gluten for my wheat allergy. The flavor was awesome. The shop was really nice, new and clean. I was surprised how big it was, plenty of seating. On another note, all of the other non GF doughnuts looked amazing! Employees were very nice as well.

Super special donuts with a few classics mixed in. I never have the appetite to finish a whole donut- instead the last two times we got donuts for work we cut them into pieces so everyone can get a taste. The donuts are slightly oversized compared to other places. Both of my two visits there were friendly staff and a good variety to pick from. I would recommend getting a few classic style donuts for folks with more conservative palettes. Yes, the donuts are expensive. They are also extremely made from scratch, which I appreciate very much.

There are few things better than being roused out of bed by a box of fresh donuts being hovered over your head by your best friend/roomie. Maybe the only thing better is when the donuts come from G&C. To quote the roomie: "I went in thinking I was going to get two donuts - I walked out with five." Even his discerning, non-sweet-tooth-driven self was lulled into doubling his order - "Everything looked so good." Apparently even by 11am they were quickly selling out of everything so this is a place to go early. Selling out may seem like a pain for us, late-to-rise consumers, but in fact it's a blessing, because that means every donut is baked that day. Fresh is best. Out of five donuts, I would re-order... yea... all five: minty green tea, sweet and salty, breakfast of champs, root beer float, and cherry lime-aid. The latter two, though, were the real winners. I thought they would be too cloying but they were amazing. The cherry filling had chunks of cherry in it (yesssss!) and the custard was creamy and lightly sweetened. So these puppies are pricey, coming in at about $3.50 a pop (there's a pun in there for the root beer float donut). But the base donuts are yeasty and fluffy and the filling and glaze are all made from scratch (and you can taste that). But hey, eating donuts is not a daily thing for me (yet... luckly G&C are not conveniently located for me), so I can splurge. If it's a flawlessly made traditional donut with deftly crafted accoutrements you want, G&C is your shop.

Clean space with a great donuts and coffee! I will be returning! I loved the one with bacon and my kids loved the one with coconut. We tried several others as well, all delish!

Absolutely amazing. Not only were the doughnuts great and creative, but the owner of the shop was beyond friendly. He talked us about places to visit (since we were visiting from NC) and you can really tell he and the other people really enjoy what they do. If you're anywhere near the denver area, please check this place out. The doughnuts are fluffy and have very original flavors. You wont be disappointed.

Took the kids here, and it was yummy. I think the donuts were 4 star, but man... This place is expensive. They do have amazing donuts, that are definitely gourmet, but 5 dollar donuts make me a little crazy. The one that was def worth 5 bucks? Banana foster... They actually brulee it right before your eyes. I had the macaroonish donut, and it was lovely but way, way too sweet. Very rich and definitely made with love and care.... Really lovely restaurant, modern and fun. Beautiful donuts. Way. Too. Expensive. 24 dollars for a pack of kids to try a donut place... Yikes!

Mixed experience with a couple solid hits and one outstanding miss. At a lower price point I'd definitely give 4 stars. Fancy donuts are $3.50 a'piece, and plain old glazed are $2. The donuts are about 15% bigger than most, but about 50% more expensive so they really need to knock it out of the park. If you're going to ask $3.50 for a donut, it better damn near spin your head around. The Cherry Lime-Aid was worth every penny. Super flaky, light and moist bread with a thin sugar glaze. The inside was well stuffed with Cherry Pie filling (big chunks o' Cherry) and you could pick up a little carbonated zing thst must be the lime-aid element. Chocolate glazed was simple and gorgeous. Same moist, not greasy bread with a real Cocoa tasting glaze. The root beer float was a big failure though. The root beer came through as a bitterish, sharp artificial root beer flavor. You know those root beer barrel candies? Just like that. The inside was supposed to be vanilla bean, but came off really underflavored and was runny. The experience was not like a root beer float, but more like eating a soupy vanilla bismark while sucking those awful root beer barrel candies. Overall not bad, but at nearly ten bucks for three donuts I expect a lot better.

I would give this place a cool zero stars if I could. I went in around 7 am expecting the donuts to be fresh and hot. My expectations were most assuredly NOT met. The donuts I purchased were stale, bland, and quite frankly gross. For over $30 for a dozen donuts, I expected to have my taste buds be blown away. Sadly, they were in the most horrible of ways. If you want good donuts, stick with Voodoo.

Pretty delicious donuts - made from scratch (including dough) each morning! And not small, either. Fun flavors: we got the Breakfast of Champz, Monkey Chow, Confuzd Samoa, and Strawberry Fig Cobbler. My favorite was probably the last one - cakey with a really yummy compote on top/inside. $3.50/donut which isn't bad considering the size and the level of culinary skill involved. Oh and they serve Pablo's coffee!

Glazed and Confuzed is worth the drive out to Leetsdale. They have the most beautiful and fluffy donuts in Denver! I also appreciate their extensive gluten-free options. The service is friendly, donuts are well priced and the display case is fabulous. The only downside to my visit was the wonky parking lot.

  • Amanda T.

We visited their storefront on 6/14/2014, the second day they were open. They weren't busy and the staff was friendly and informative. After a tough time deciding, we selected a Cherry Limemade donut and Confused Samoa to share. The Confused Samoa was amazing-I didn't want to share! I also enjoyed the Cherry Limemade donut, unlike most jelly donuts, it wasn't just a blob in the middle, but spread throughout the center, similar to frosting between layers of a cake. However, I'm not a huge jelly donut fan so next time I'll choose something else. These donuts are a bit pricey at $4 a pop, but definitely worth it once in a while for a fun, tasty, treat!

If you ask me where you should get a donut or where my favorite donuts are from, I would tell you Glazed and Confuzed. The owner contacted me years ago and asked that I try their donuts and write a review about them. Since then, they have been my favorite donut ever . Not for that reason, but for the fact that they have evolved into an excellent, successful business voted as the best donut by people all over the United States. They are consistently soft, well prepared, delectable donuts made daily. When they run out, they run out. The donuts don't sit overnight to be sold the next day like other places. The employees love their job and are helpful with recommendations. For National Donut Day, I had to go to Glazed and Confuzed, The line was out the door, but well worth the 30 minute wait. I got a dozen donuts. Root beer, strawberry, chocolate glazed, and mocha flavors filled that box. Beautiful, tasty donuts were loved by all of my coworkers. It was a successful day for me and Glazed and Confuzed. They sold out in an hour and a half. Glad I made it in time!

I've been a fan of this place since it opened. I don't like all their donuts--the puffy thing is too dry, I don't like it at all. But I love the salty/sweet, the samoa, and best of all, anything they do with strawberry. I might give them 4 stars b/c they are a bit too pricey, and their selection isn't always great. BUT, I had a customer service experience this weekend that earned the 5th star. I called to see if they had their strawberries & cream (my fave). They happened to have a different strawberry flavor that day, so they said they already had the glaze and would be happy to make me a strawberries and cream. I said, "I only want one," thinking they may have assumed I wanted a whole order, and they may not want to do it just for one. But no, they said that was fine. I walked in and they had it ready in a minute. It's pretty rare to find customer service like that these days. Definitely worth going back for!!

Is it donut or doughnut? Does it really matter? If bacon was spelled two different ways would you like it any less? Deep musings on a Sunday morning. Anyway, the doughnuts at Glazed and Confused are delicious and unique. Their version of the cro-nut (croissant and donut) is called the puffy nut. I have tried it in many different forms, all of which are mouth watering. Yesterday's version was a Pumpkin Pie puffy nut that I was forced to share with others. Sharing is stupid and I want nothing to do with it. There was also a My Oh My Pecan Pie seasonal creation in the store yesterday. Between these two doughnuts I began questioning the need for pie. Perhaps next Thanksgiving will feature doughnuts instead of the traditional desserts. The usual suspects include a maple bacon, root beer float, and confused Samoa. All are yummy. For those with dairy issues, there is an occasional vegan offering. The store itself has a diner-like feel to it. Unfortunately it is often empty, as most people get their doughnuts to go. Probably sneaking off to a dark corner to eat them without sharing.

Yummy and unique fluffy dough yumminess. They do "cronuts" a mix between a croissant and a donut, on the weekends only. Don't miss it! Super friendly staff and a real commitment to delicious, mind blowing sweets. I'm okay paying a little more 'cause this is no Crispy Creme. True love is put into everything here.

If you want to put a penis shaped donut in your mouth, go to Voodoo. If you care about quality ingredients, how your donut is prepared, overall awesomeness and creativity...check out Glazed and Confused. Yes, the donuts cost more than King Soopers donuts...but obesity and diabetes are also expensive problems to have, so maybe just one or two donuts at time will suit you right. This is a special occasion place for me, so I don't need to eat many subpar cheap donuts. Why are the donuts so awesome? It helps that they are created by a staff that is passionate about what they are doing - making creative combinations that challenge and delight the tastebuds rather than sprinkling General Mills sugar cereal on Cisco-brand frosted donuts. Don't believe me? Try the Puffynutz, G&C's take on the cronut. It is big, but eats light, flakey with a hint of nuttiness, while offering the pleasantness of real sugar that is absent from the high fructose corn syrup drenched crud that comes from competitors. For me, this donut keeps me coming back...but I also love the Somoa and the Cherry Lime Aid (Cherry Chutney Stuffed Donut with a Lime Glaze)! It takes great a good level of finesse to make donuts this awesome! If you are looking for a wonderful donut to experience, this is the place to go.

I'm torn between a 3 and a 4 star for these donuts (or doughnuts). The first two I tried was before they had their storefront. The breakfast of champz with the bacon was delicious. I popped it in my microwave for 15 seconds and it was so soft and divine! The second one, a citrus one I can't remember, I tried was totally burnt on the bottom, so it took me awhile to try them again. After a few months, after their storefront opened, I decided to try again. This time I got the sweet and salty. The donut itself was fluffy and had a great flavor, the topping was okay, not too sweet, not too salty. Though it could use more salt and more caramel. But you can tell that they use high quality ingredients. Maybe I'm not a big enough doughnut lover to justify a $4 one, now an almond croissant, for sure, yes I'll spend that. But I'll just stick to the artificial filled, occasional donut when the rare craving arises. But if go crazy over donuts, this place is worth a try.

Went here for the first time today and was greeted by the friendly staff who was also very patient while I decided on my selection of six doughnuts, all for myself! Definitely great quality doughnuts and very clean shop. They do run out quick so gotta get there early!

I've been wanting to stop, so this AM I did and picked up 3 donuts to take to work and share with my employees. These 3 donuts were over $9.00 so buying a dozen is defiantly not going to happen. #1 Vanilla glazed was moist, and the glaze was yummy vanilla. #2 Root Beer at first was just weird, but we all agreed bite 2 was delicious, vanilla custard was great. #3 salted caramel was excellent from first taste. The donuts are really really different, good but really pricy. Would be nice if someone took a second and said hi, ill be right with you instead of flirting with the cutie before me. This comes from the mouth of a coffee business manager. Customer service at its best will keep your doors open longer.

WAY BETTER THAN VOO DOO Been getting G&C from their stand at the cherry creek farmers market the past couple summers. I was so excited when they opened a store not far from where I live. Their flavors are creative and the donuts are always fresh and delicious. The price is absolutely worth it. Don't fall for the hype of voo doo because it does not even compare to G&C. Support this local business because they deserve it!

Stopped into Glazed and Confuzed to support a local homegrown business! Plus my office loves a good donut!! They were awesome! We had a dozen doughnuts, multiple flavors and they were gone in an instant! My personal favorite was the peaches and cream with fresh peaches and the samoa!! They are a classic raised doughnut, so a slightly denser dough but packed with great flavor!! The cake donuts and glazes were all so delish! Yes, they are a higher price point, but well worth it for the quality ingredients you can taste in the doughnut!! Their flavors rotate daily, and so far I have heard only great things from my coworkers! Support local and stop in to Glazed and Confuzed or grab one at a local farmers market!! OH and they have Gluten Free, one I failed to get for a coworker but he was super excited to know such thing existed!!

I went to Glazed and Confuzed for the first time today and was very impressed! A lot of the things that other reviewers are complaining about were, to me, the best things about this place. It is definitely not a large, corporate organization. I have no problem at all paying slightly more to get the perks of supporting a small, local business who places so much emphasis on providing quality ingredients. It's obvious that the owners and employees are there because they love what they do and that means so much more than having an enormous selection every day. Oh yeah....and the donuts were amazing!!!! The waitress was telling me about a peaches and cream donut that they have during peach season....I am now eagerly awaiting peach season :) Thanks for caring about your ingredients and your customers. I will definitely be back and will be bringing lots of friends with me!!!

These are pretty good. Not overly sweet. But they are always out of everything and also they don't have decaf coffee. Some of us can't get all coked up on regular coffee. Last time I went there, I had a donut I really liked. I don't remember what it was called. My boyfriend might remember so if you know him, ask him and he can let you know.

Great doughnuts!! There puffy nuts(carbomb too) are awesome!! The cost is a bit much, but really good!! Make sure to go on Friday Saturday or Sunday to get the puffy nuts.

Took my family to Glazed and Confused this morning and absolutely loved it! The donuts are like 3 donuts in 1; they are well worth the cost! We tried the confused Samoa, the vanilla bean, the Irish car bomb, the root beer float, and the cookies and cream. Everything was a hit with the family! Plus, the staff was so friendly and patiently explained just about every donut to us. Such a great place; we will certainly be back! Oh and just a tip, they have buy one get one donuts from 1-2pm.

  • Chris H.

I love donuts and while I don't eat them near as often as I would like to, this is a great place to go for great donuts. I probably would like to see a little larger selection of donuts...and I do agree with some of the other reviews that the donuts are priced higher than regular donuts...I got a batch of at least one of everything and took them back to the house for house guest. Everyone loved them! So...if you can't afford to pay $3 or even $4 for a donut...go to the King Soopers down the road and pay $.60 for a donut. Don't go here and then complain about it!

I'm gonna call it like I see it... This place is over the top stupid. For starters what kind of D-bag charges $5.00 for a donut? Its a freaking donut... Cost of production must be what, $0.10? If you add bacon, $0.50??? So yea you have that to look forward to... Do I buy donuts for the office today or pay my mortgage? Second, the donuts are fine... Notice I didn't say amazing, spectacular, delicious... They are fine. Probably on par with Dunkin Donuts but 3 to 4 times the price. They really get into their funny combinations, but how many guiness reduction glazes with Siracha and cherry fillings do you need? Because I'm just as blunt in person as I am on here I asked the guy behind the counter why they were as expensive as they are, his response was its because they make them fresh every day... Of course you do, its a donut... They are all made fresh daily. Let me contrast this place with a recent Portland incursion into the Denver donut scene... AKA VooDoo Donut shop. VD - open 24 hours a day G&C - open 8 hours VD - made fresh 24 hours a day G&C - fresh as well VD - has Vegan options for your annoying hipster friends G&C - no vegan options VD - 12 donut combo box - approximately $16 including tax aka $1.33 a donut G&C - 12 donut combo box approximately $48 including tax aka $4.00 a donut. VD - as long as a 20 minute wait during rush times G&C - no wait, EVER, place is empty, ghost town, because most people aren't stupid enough to eat here twice.

I popped in today and tried the confused Samoa doughnut. It was fresh and the chocolate/coconut combo was very tasty! The service was great - helpful and friendly. I thought the price was reasonable for a handcrafted pastry and though I understand people complaining about the price, I think of these doughnuts like a croissant, danish, cinnamon roll etc from a bakery. The ingredients are good quality, they are handmade and would reasonably pay $3-4 easily. I will be back!

Came here during opening week (I know! so long ago) and I wasn't disappointed. The two donuts I remember buying were the Vanilla Infused Brown Butter Glaze (though the one I had was grilled) and the one that was like a Samoa. So, I expected the Samoa to be my favorite, but it was really the grilled classic vanilla that blew me away. It was simple, delicate, and really fantastic. Okay everyone, do expect to pay a premium for these donuts! I would categorize these beauties as 'craft desserts' instead of your typical 'donuts.' Locally sourced ingredients and a lot of care go into each one.

Yum! My fiancé and I came here looking for fun, delicious donuts and this was perfect. They had an event this weekend and were short staffed and short donuted - they only had a few flavors to choose from and we ended up with the sweet and salty which is a salted Carmel glaze. Really awesome- I hope we can sample some different flavors next time we come back to the area!

Get there early for the best selection (you really can't go wrong no matter what you pick). Awesome selection of uniquely flavored donuts. I got the confused Somoa, mocha, and chocolate glazed and they were huge (and delicious)!

My boyfriend and I tried the root beer float, grilled d & monkey chow donuts this morning. They were good, but a LOT of donut (we only ate half each of 2 because we got sick of the flavor) so I think they would be better and more worth it if they were smaller and cheaper.

I have only been here twice even though I live down the street, and that's only because I don't indulge in donuts often. Everyone at G&C is incredibly welcoming and patient while you stare at the case and try to figure out what you want. They have innovative flavours, use organic materials and make everything fresh! The Samoa is FABULOUS. I would RATHER support local business and have something fresh and made with love than a lackluster donut from a grocery store. My only small gripe is that the parking lot is small and some of the spots are weird to get to, but that's not really their fault. Anyone that complains about price or that they sometimes sell out before closing time doesn't understand that means there is quality at G&C. You get what you pay for, folks.

Yum. Root Beer Float donut - yes please. But how did you perfect the flavor?! Brilliant. Not as impressed with the vanilla bean favor as I had hoped, but still yummy.

From scratch donuts, made daily, that are $2,$3.50, $4, or $5 each (I think they do a 25% discount on a dozen.) We went at 1:15 pm on a Friday and purchased a to-go box of at least one of everything still available; the Confuzed Samoa, GC Chocolate Glaze, GC Plain Glaze, Key Lime Pie, P.O.G., a Vanilla and a Chocolate Mocha Mousse, and The Gable. So far we've tried the Key Lime Pie, The Gable, and a Vanilla Mocha Mousse. All were fresh and tasty. None gave us indigestion or that greasy aftertaste. (Of course, donuts are fried in oil so they will leave residue on your box.) Of the ones we've tried so far; the Vanilla MM is my favorite. It reminds me of the frosting sandwiches my friends made as kids. It is VERY rich, so we split it. Have yet to nab the ever elusive PuffyNutz, because it sells out so quickly. The SPECIAL donuts do that, though we did get the Mocha Mousse and the P.O.G. $2-$5 for a fresh, tasty donut is not bad to us? Especially for the labor intensive ones. We will definitely buy more; either from the store or the many coffee shops and Farmers Markets they are at all over Metro Denver.

Been wanting to try them for a while and are at best an average donut. Very over priced for what you get and the product isn't even fresh.

Great donuts! We had, in order of favorites, the root beer float, samoa, s'more, and carrot cake. Each one tasted exactly as described. Like many bakeries, get there early or risk them being sold out of some varieties. Girl behind the counter was awesome. She was fun, enthusiastic and patient while we decided on our selection. Customer service doesn't get any better.

Solid 5 stars for the dairy-free/vegan donuts! My last G & C doughnut was at the very last City Park Farmer's Market. I still remember the day...warm and sunny, with the delicious smell of doughnuts cooking in the air. I ordered a vegan yeast-raised donut with a vanilla almond milk glaze topped with poached pears, white wine and a vanilla and pear reduction It was mind-blowing. I really, really love donuts and have had such a hard time with my recent lactose issues. This donut gave me all of the satisfaction of a regular donut. I am not kidding when I say that I talked about it for days and STILL think about it half a year later. I took a picture of the menu that last day of the market that I will upload. I love that they offered a breast cancer awareness donut! Three enthusiastic cheers for Glazed and Confused. I cannot wait for the Farmer's Market to start again so I can recklessly self-indulge in their yumminess! P.S. They are supposed to be opening a shop soon just down from Las Tortas. Two of my favorites in the same strip mall = Happy Lindsey!

interesting donuts - not as wild/off beat as Voodoo, flavors are interesting vs delicious. Kids didn't care for it. We tried several of the donuts and I have been there a couple times before. I would to enjoy these donuts, they are an acquired taste - not for everyone. We got 4 donuts and 3 drinks, and our total was over $25 - extremely expensive for a donut.

Seriously one of the best Doughnut i have ever had!!! It was so light and fluffy. The frosting was not over powering. Only disappointment was the price, but its worth it.

The creativity and quality here is really impressive. Some of the best donuts-- actually, the best donuts I've ever had. Looking at the options, you think you are a judge on Chopped. But they really do deliver. I can't think of any negatives.

Before I start my review, I am sure I will hear this argument "our doughnuts are hand made, organic ingredients, baby seals weren't used and a unicorn blessed them". I am always looking for a good doughnut. Dutch Boy Doughnuts on Colfax was one of the best. Lately I get my doughnut fix at Voodoo. I was super excited to try Glazed and Confuzed. I had heard great things about the doughnuts. Who doesn't love a cronut? I knew the price was high going in but thought I would be blown away. The doughnuts were slightly above average. Samoa doughnut was flavorful and had a great taste. It was overly greasy, size was smaller than most doughnut shops and it looked over cooked. We also had a siracha puffynutz. It had great flavor and the siracha brought a great element to the doughnut. Again the doughnut seemed overcooked and greasy. What kills this place for me is the price. If I bought a dozen Samoa's it would be 36 bucks and that's with the 25% discount. Puffynutz would be 48. I can go to Voodoo or the Donut Maker (voted best doughnut by Westword) and get triple the doughnuts. Baked in Telluride makes a cronut type doughnut and it is just as good and two bucks cheaper. I cannot honestly believe that the doughnuts need to be priced this high. At most 2.50 (puffy and bacon obviously more). The best comparison is to to Levain Bakery in New York. They charge 4 bucks for a cookie. Sure you can get a cheaper cookie but these are amazing cookies. Either these doughnuts need to be amazing or the price needs to reflect the product. It is worth a visit once in a blue moon but nothing worth going out of the way for.

Updated flavor update: Root Beer Float Who's Your Maddy? Jalapeno Popper Strawberry Margarita and the Irish Car Bomb... each donut better than the last! Not to mention the staff totally rocks at this place and their Coffee is great! I'm glad they finally opened their storefront and can't wait to go back for more!!! Rock on Glazers.

I just tasted the Samoa at my office. Co-worker brought in two dozen for a meeting. If you take nothing else away from this review, know this - people get excited as heck when they see these donuts! Staff has finally settled down about the awesomeness of them, and are finally moving on with business. So. Here's what you need to know about Glazed and Confuzed: this WILL NOT taste like other donuts you've had! If you've ever had a homemade donut, then you have an idea of the difference between a factory donut, and any other type of donut. At Glazed & Confuzed you'll be staring down some high quality treats. The raised donuts ARE dense, perfectly moist, and chewy in a good way--this donut is not filled with air. You will taste the quality of the ingredients used at first bite. There is a time and a place for Krispy Kreme, Lamar's - hell, even 7-11 donuts - this however, is not it. Understand that you are buying up with these guys. It ain't cheap because you are not getting a cheaply made donut. Locally sourced, fresh ingredients; you taste it. Also, G&C is not a sickly sweet product. You'll get a great dose of sweetness without feeling a gut bomb after. Again, that's what quality gets ya. I appreciate that the owner has responded to quite a few negative ratings here on Yelp. They genuinely care about the product they are putting out there, and to me that's meaningful in a business. It was delicious. Like, "holy sh**!", eyes wide delicious. I am grateful that the donut Gods sent G&C to Glendale, CO. I can't wait for the next treat!

It should be called burned and disgusting save you money . I ordered three donuts Samoa, breakfast of champz, and grilley d. The only one that was edible was the Samoa all if the other ones tasted burnt and over glazed. The guy being the counter gave me a two for one on the breakfast of champz because they were small. The people are nice and very helpful , but for 13.50 I could have eaten a steak for breakfast

Delicious and such creative flavors! We had the vanilla bean glazed, root beer float, chipotle grilled, and one that's like a cronut. All were really good, even the chipotle one which we were a little skeptical about. Even the next day, they were so yummy right out of the microwave. If I had to recommend just one, it would be the cronut one. Layers and layers of goodness. Oh yeah, and the service is super friendly as well!

They're "not your daddy's doughnuts," certainly not your typical ordinary doughnuts. Glazed and Confuzed takes donuts to another level with their eccentric and creative spin on it. They have an impressive assortment of flavors that they make fresh daily and deliver to local coffee shops and farmers market. So far I've only had a small sample of the various arrays of flavors and was quite satisfied. Think Baskin Robins of donuts lol. The Breakfast of Champz is a maple glaze with bacon. Need I say more? Everything is good with bacon! The crispy, crunchy, and saltiness of the bacon just compliments the donut and was perfect with a latte. The OHHHHHHHH was ohhhhhhhhhhh so delicious! Orgasmic even. It had a green tea and honey glaze topped off with bite size pieces of mochi. They were a huge hit at the party and everyone absolutely loved them! My only regret was not having seconds before they were all devoured... Is there anything sweeter than Peyton Manning leading the Broncos into victory to advance to the Super Bowl? Why yes, yes there is...The Manning was covered completely with an orange glaze with Peyton's jersey number 18 inscribed on it. Inside, is a white chocolate filling dyed in blue and simply oozes out after each single bite. It was really rich and sweet...reminds me of a cupcake with lots of frosting. Also turns your entire mouth blue! I thought this donut was just ok, too sweet for my liking, but fun to eat especially after a Broncos win! Not only are these donuts amazing, but the customer service was impeccable! Ben was the ultimate professional answering any inquiries I've had about them (and trust me, I had a lot!) it's pretty cool to stand there and chit chat with one of the creators while he's putting finishing touches on your donuts. I look forward to frequenting their new location once it opens up in the spring and trying more different flavors. PuffyNutz, Razzz Cheesecake, Confuzed Oreo, along with others are among the top of my lists that I want to try! I highly recommend you guys check these guys out. Follow them on Twitter and Facebook to check out daily flavors. You will not be disappointed! The donut craze is sweeping the state and be on the look out for Glazed and Confuzed to make a gigantic splash and nip at the heels of Voodoo Donuts. A friendly rivalry is good for everyone! Let the donut war begin!

They were ok donuts but not worh the price. I have had just as good at Safeway or King"s. The raised donuts were Doughy and not especially good for the price I would not recommend them. It is difficult to park here.

A friend told us about these donuts, so we checked out there web site and headed to a cafe that carries their goods. I'm so glad we did. These pastries are delicious. I'm not a donut fan, but the man is. He enjoyed a maple-glazed donut with bacon and a mojito donut but was kind enough to give me a bite. The donuts are light and fresh-tasting. The fresh mint on the mojito donut was strong and herb-y. No artificial flavors here! I ordered their take on a donut/croissant hybrid. I loved the flaky layers of pastry, and the frosting was thick but not cloyingly sweet. Paired with a cup of good coffee, it was a nice way to start the day. I look forward to trying more flavors on another donut-hunting trip.

I think some people have been eating manufactured typed donuts for so long, they forget what a REAL handmade donut is supposed to taste and look like. I love raised donuts, and was sort of thrown back by how much smaller they looked compared to what I am used to see at places like Lamars or King Soopers. Its a denser dough, but I think that adds a lot of flavor to the donut as a whole. You can tell everything about these donuts are made from scratch. Theres no "Instant Donut Mix". I got the Breakfast of Champions and the Samoas donut and both were AMAZING! The bacon on the Champs donut was insane - thick sliced bacon that wasent overdone! And the Samoas was very good also. The coconut was toasted just right and the you could tell exactly what the flavor was going to be just by looking at the donut - it looks like a GIANT Samoas Cookie! The atmosphere of the building is also very cool. Most dont shops have a small eating area with a table or two - but the way this shop is set up, it really opens itself to be a place where a large amount of people could stop in and sit down to have their morning coffee and donut. Very open and inviting. The donuts might be a little expensive if you are busying a box for the whole office - but if you are just buying for yourself or a Sunday morning family treat, I think its well worth the price for the quality you get in return.

So I live right across the street from this place and always drive by it, but today I decided to swing in and check it out. Apparently you need to come early to get a better variety of donuts, as said by many others in their reviews. Regardless, the options that were still available were all so tempting. The Samoa looked delicious and I might come back again to try it out. Today I decided on a single root beer float donut and holy cannoli was it heaven! It tastes exactly as described, had tons of glaze and is super sweet. If sweet isn't your thing, don't bother coming here. All the donuts and glazes are organic and handmade, which is totally obvious by the texture and flavor. The staff was so patient while I stared in awe at their display case, trying to decide which one to indulge in first. (Now I get why they're called Glazed & Confused.) They have neat shirts and offer a sweet coupon on your receipt that is only good on the weekdays but never expires. If you're crazy enough to buy a dozen donuts, they give you 25% off too! I'm totally coming back...but maybe I'll walk next time to help ease my conscience about the calories.

  • David B.

This place is overpriced and overrated. There's very little about these donuts to set them apart from dozens of other places - certainly nothing to justify $2 for a frosted donut. As if that weren't bad enough, the specialty donuts are twice that. I was shocked to get charged over $20 for six donuts. I suppose I could justify paying outrageous prices like that if the donuts were amazing, but they were completely unremarkable. I will not be back.

    (2)
  • Crystal B.

Hands down best donuts ever....They weren't greasy or super sugary. I could actually taste real strawberry in the glaze, and the filling went across the whole donut, not just in one corner like other places. My friend has the gluten free donut, and she was brought to tears...she's been gluten free for 10 years and this was the first time that a gluten free donut actually tasted like a donut. If you don't mind spending some money for quality, these donuts are worth it!

  • Stephanie P.

It's hard for me to give Glazed and Confuzed a fair rating - I'm still suffering from sticker shock. $47 for 1 dozen donuts. Yes, the flavors are unique, and the Irish Car Bomb Puffynutz was downright delicious - but the price is astronomical, and at the end of the day, you are still just getting donuts. They may be artisan-style donuts, but for crying out loud, they aren't covered with diamond dust and gold flake! I found the donuts themselves to be incredibly dense and bready. My coworkers liked them fine, but said they preferred the donuts we typically have (from a nearby shop.) That said, the service at the bricks and mortar location was incredibly friendly. He even pretended not to notice when I gasped at the price.

After enjoying the doughnuts from Voodoo for a while now, we were excited to try a new shop to compare and contrast. Finally, G&C was open (not flooded or sold out) and we stopped in this morning. First impressions say a lot-- and the space is big, open and honestly looks unfinished. The menu screens on the right describe the doughnuts available in the cases on the left. The cases on the left are big-- and (again, it looks unfinished)-- and sparsely filled. There appeared to be 6 or 7 flavors available when we went at 11am on a Sunday. Not your traditional offerings- a grilled one, a sirracha flavored one, etc. The doughnuts are large but looked overcooked (it was hard to tell if they were cake or raised by looking at them) and the toppings are generous. We got the Samoa (coconut & chocolate) and the Sirracha Puffy Nut (cronut style doughnut with sirracha cream). They were served simply on a cardboard dish and by the time we got to our seats, you could see the grease from my Samoa one saturating the dish. The doughnut was equally greasy when eaten, although it did taste good. The sirracha one was different (I didn't like it, but my husband did). The worst thing about G&C was the price. They are WAY overpriced for what you get. The Samoa doughnut was $4 and the Puffy Nut was $5. Which is insane for one doughnut. Especially when you leave with a film of grease on the roof of your mouth. We commented when we sat down to eat our selections (in the huge, open and barely-decorated dining area), that in all our visits to Voodoo, we've maybe spent $9 once-- and went home with a box of doughnuts to share. While my husband stated that he might go back, I certainly won't. I was very unimpressed and would happily stand in line at Voodoo to get my money's worth and be impressed. It's odd-- I actually think that G&C thinks they're so "good" that impressing people isn't important. But when you walk in... I wished I was impressed. PS- it's spelled DOUGHNUT... not donut!

O.M.G. we did a lil sampler box, with the Root Beer Float, P.O.G., Maple Bacon, and a Classic Puffnutz. Taking a couple bites of each, was like a bite of heaven, only each bite was better than the last! The owner was very friendly and boy does he know how to make amazing top notch world class doughnuts! We will definitely be back or next trip through Denver!!!

I'm happy I can walk to this place so I can burn off a few of the calories I just consumed. These are gourmet doughnuts, and I refuse to subtract a star for the price. I recommend the vegan selection, and I really hope they bring back the apple cider again. Friendliest staff around, even at crack of dawn. Please support these local Denver doughnut makers.

I really wanted this place to be good but it wasn't,came in @ 8:05 am and the selection was very poor maybe 6-7 different kind of donuts without any simple donuts...Mmm jelly.. for example. When in a donut shop you want a selection, you want to feel like a kid in a.. donut shop:-) and it doesn't matter how old you are. The ones that I got were ok nothing special and I got a dozen ,but $31 I think it's too much... 2.5 star for me.

Just a quick shout out to glazed and confused for supporting the Cherokee ranch open house. What a delight to have those donuts available as we visited the Cherokee ranch. What a show of public service also and generosity as they served up their donuts for free. These are some of the best donuts in the Denver metro area. I suggest you stop by their shop and get some. Homemade and attention to detail in every bite.

My son loves donuts so for a birthday treat I decided i would get him a couple of donuts. I am a researcher when it comes to buying anything and after reading all the reviews, and the menus of Denver donut shops, this is the one i picked. We went in and my son picked three donuts (the best that a 2yr old can pick donuts) and I decided to buy two. The gentleman working there (great customer service) gave us the third free because it was the little guy's birthday. Now, because Mom and Dad love donuts too and the little guy is only 2, we got to sample these donuts. All I can say is OH MY!! I am a huge donut fan, and these are by far the best I've ever had. I love fruity desserts, and the strawberry cream was amazing! I am craving it as we speak. Highly recommended!!

Great selection of original donut flavors! I highly recommend the root beer float donut.

I just went today to get doughnuts for my husbands birthday breakfast and I love this place! The inside is very cool! This would be a great place for an office party or even a baby shower. There is plenty of room and seating available. I had 4 of their doughnuts, I loved the root beer one and the bananas foster. I wasn't a huge fan of the grilled one but that might just be my taste. I have had voodoo doughnuts many times and while they are good and offer a huge variety, I have found that Glazed and Confused has a better doughnut. The actual cake part of the doughnut is better! I recommend that you check out this place, we will be back:)

Just tried them for the first time. We only wanted a couple to try but they were closing so she offered us a dozen for $10. We tasted quite a few of them. The best was the Samoa, and also the root beer float. Cool spot but kind of a weird location. The parking lot is difficult to navigate. All in all, we'll be back the next time we get a doughnut craving.

Only tried one doughnut, the Root Beer Float. By far the best doughnut I've ever tasted.

Delicious! The selection wasn't great - it was near closing time, oh well, but the ones we got were absolutely divine. We got the plain glazed, bacon, and vegan ones. Go get some yummy donuts!!!

My boyfriend and I made a special Sunday trip to the Weathervane Cafe to try these donuts. We wanted to try Glazed and Confuzed's version of the cronut, the Puffynutz. Just in case you don't already know, a cronut is a croissant/donut hybrid. The puffynutz that we tried was the Irish Car Bomb, a puffynutz filled with Bailey's custard and topped with Guinness glaze. We also tried a yeast donut, the s'more: a chocolate covered donut with torched marshmallows and graham cracker pieces. My boyfriend preferred the s'more, and I really liked both. Although the Irish Car Bomb puffynutz was delicious, I wish that the puffynutz hadn't been filled with custard because I wanted to taste the puffynutz in its more basic form. I would love to see an unfilled chocolate glazed puffynutz. The s'more donut was also delicious, although I couldn't taste or see the torched marshmallows. I love that so much creativity and passion go into these donuts, and I'll be trying more flavors and crossing my fingers for a non-filled chocolate glazed puffynutz.

Just had my first sampling of their donuts and they are freaking good. I don't always like donuts with such crazy and over the top toppings but these were very good. Similar to voodoo donuts yes and they are probably equal in my book if you like your donuts with lots of stuff. Personally I like donut maker, as others have said Westwood rated them the highest. Their donuts aren't as fancy but are good. Prices at glazed and confused are expensive but I guess you get what you pay for. Overall a great donut at a high price.

As I often state, I love (LOVE) donuts. I have tried everything there is to try in Denver. For those reasons, I was very excited to try this place. I just finished my first couple of donuts from here and hate to say that it was a let-down. We bought a small selection (6) and it cost over 20 bucks. TWENTY BUCKS! In spite of my love for them, I cannot (will not) pay that much. One of the great things about donuts is that you can share them with others. Bring a dozen or two to work and everybody lights up. That idea, however, is just not realistic here. I would never (NEVER) drop $40+ on a dozen donuts. The $4 root beer donut did taste great, but the chocolate glazed didn't really taste like chocolate. If you are going to charge this much for a simple baked-good you'd better make sure that every one is an amazing rendition. As others have stated, I expect great donuts to cost more than those from the grocery store, just not that much more. I recently visited a fancy bakery downtown that also claims to be organic etc, but their most expensive donut was $2.50. As with anything (cars, houses, etc) the more you pay, the fancier it gets, but at some point the payoffs diminish. I think the doughnuts from GAC are good, but they are simply not worth the cost. As with Voodoo this place is worth a try so that you can make up your own mind, but I don't get it and will not make this a regular haunt.

It should really say open from 6 am til we RUN OUT OF DONUTS. What a waste of my time:(

I have been to Glazed and Confused twice and I think the donuts are ok, but they are extremely PRICEY!! I purchased 8 donuts for a total of $34. I didn't expect the cost to be as low as King Soopers or Safeway, but $34! The donuts were ok, but I don't know that I would go out of my way to purchase them. I didn't have to wait to get the donuts as no one was I the store at the time which was at 7:45am. They didn't have a great donut selection. I was so hopeful for this donut shop, and after eating a donut and coughing up $34 for 8 donuts I have to say it was just A-OK.

A little overpriced, yes. Extremely rich, yes. Delicious, yes! Glazed and confused is not a place I would go to by a dozen, but perfect for the early morning donut run and a cup of coffee. I can only ever eat 1 anyway. I had the Breakfast of Champions donut and I figure, any donut shop that can convince me to try a donut with bacon on it and actually enjoy it.... worthy of a few stars in my book.

$36 for a dozen mediocre donuts. I knew this going in and expected something special. Just beware.

I've never tasted such creative donut flavors, and what makes Glazed & Confuzed even more special is that all of their ingredients are organic and locally sourced when possible. The fact that it is family owned by some really cool, down-to-earth, hardworking people is icing on the donut ;) My personal favorite flavors so far are the Raspberry Shortcake, Strawberry Margarita, and Breakfast of Champz.

Went there this morning. My husband and I got Da Killa Carrot Cake and the S'Mores donuts. The donuts were just okay, and therefore WAY overpriced for $4 per donut! The icing on the carrot cake tasted like straight butter with no sweetness whatsoever - I had to scrape it off in order to eat the donut. Voodoo donuts taste much better and are half the price.

What a big mistake I made. Went in and got one puffynut and took it home. My husband, daughter and myself fought over who was going to get the biggest piece. It was delicious. Yum! going back for more.

This place is awesome! Great atmosphere and incredibly nice staff! I walked in at close to closing time and I was met with extreme generosity! And the donuts are creative and delicious to boot!

This place really threw me off. I got a dozen (~ $35 with discount), which was kind of disappointing considering they're still donuts. However, even though I came in right before closing the donuts tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the rootbeer float donut and breakfast of champz! Best donut place in Denver by far!

These donuts were transcendent - and I'm not a donut lover. The texture and flavor was amazing ! And having tried out Voodoo, while they may have all sorts of crazy fun flavor combos, the taste doesn't hold a candle to glazed and confused. You must try it!!

Super donuts unusual flavors .Pricey but worth it . From your lips too your hips

  • Matt J.

Flavors are fun and creative and the space is stylish. The negatives are the donuts are too bready. What I mean by that is that sans toppings, the donuts are closer to the taste and texture of bread than donuts. It's also a lot more expensive than voodoo donuts but voodoos are way better quality.

Stopped by today and got the peaches n cream. Yummy! It was a Cronut. My daughter chose the root beer float and loved it. She was hoping for a colorful sprinkle donut, but was not disappointed by the root beer one. This is definitely a gourmet donut shop. Next time it will be difficult to choose between the Mojito or breakfast of champions. The owner/chef was there and was very tentative! We took a few to-go too; love donuts for desert. Well be back!

Disappointing! We had an Irish car bomb and a killa carrot cake. First off, the inconsistency in size is crazy. $8.50 for 2 donuts. (Again crazy and way too expensive) The filling in the car bomb was cold and in the very bottom of the donut. One bite in and it was a mess with the custard falling out. The killa carrot cake was dense and dry. The place itself was nice, maybe first day jitters got the best of them.

Not sure how these can be considered organic and locally sourced donuts...I guess lucky charms and bugles are considered organic to them? Also the oil they fry in is just plain ole' Sams club vegetable oil (not organic) I think these claims need to be reevaluated. As far as taste? Would you like some donut with your grease? I make a homemade Cronut that would put them out of business in a second if I opened my own. Just not worth the money folks!

I love donuts and these ones are good!!! Gotta get here early because they sell out fast, but the ones they do have left are some tasty concoctions. The Samoa is pretty amazing and the bacon peanut butter is to die for. They don't taste like the typical deep fried Krispy Kreme's, these are like tiny cakes. I'll be back to try more when they get a little bigger and can keep some stock. I need another Samoa...

I decided to go with donuts instead of cake for my wedding. Best idea ever! Unique, fresh, delicious, and special. My guests were as excited as I was. They were a huge hit. I heard people all night discussing which ones were their favorites. We had Breakfast of Champz, Caramel Apple, Root Beer Float, Smore, a special creation of Cookies 'n Cream, and my personal favorite, the puffynut Irish Car Bomb. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Josh and Sarah were wonderful to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend using them for your special day. You'll have many happy guests!!

Yes, there are unusual toppings for these yeasty donuts; but, limited selection. Don't expect 10 or 15 varieties that you might see at Walton's. The donut itself, w/o toppings or glaze is delicious. One of the best donut doughs out there. It's a cross between a risen, a cake and bread; with a toothsome, pleasingly chewy bite. The different flavors were all good, not great, perhaps a bit much. The reason for two stars...6 DONUTS FOR $25 - RIDICULOUS! I will not be going back. I will instead frequent the tried and true Walton's, where the donuts are fresh, classically varied, and about $13 a dozen.

I love donuts! But not all donuts, I am kind of a donut snob if you will, and the two donuts I had at glazed and confused yesterday, were two of the BEST donuts I have ever had!!! The taste was out of site! I had a breakfast glazed bacon donut and pecan pie one. They were light and full of all the flavors they promised! I will be eating their donuts for many years to come!!! Josh (the owner), not only makes amazing high quality donuts, but was also super friendly and warm! Mucho kuddos to him and his amazing donuts!! I look forward to trying all of the donuts on his menu.

Delicious and unique donuts, friendly staff. But the prices are much higher than the very similar "Glazed and Infused" donut store in Chicago!...the economics of this operation is challenging which makes this a "splurge" visit, i.e. only after I sell some plasma

New fan...will definitely go in there to get one or 2 when I have an itch to scratch, but a $35 dozen doughnuts is WAY steep. Bananas Foster is RETARDED GOOD and ROOT BEER FLOAT IS TO DIE FOR. Service was EXCELLENT and the counter staff knew their product...much more to be said for them that another fancy doughnut place with pink boxes. There is a new sheriff in town.

I have never had these donuts before but had knew they were at the farmers markets before opening up the brick and mortar shop. Stopped by on the way to work today and I guess it was their first day to "re-open" after the flooding issues. Ordered a dozen to bring in to work. I should have known something was not going well when it took the cashier several minutes to ring them up. They don't have a per dozen price, but charge individually by what you order. So, she finally totaled them up and the owner reminded her that when you purchase by the dozen, you get a 25% discount. Sweet - I'm thinking. Well, she then gave me a total of $41! I almost fell to the floor. I mean, I suppose prices were posted somewhere, but I just never thought to check to see if I could actually afford a dozen donuts. So I decided, might as well go through with it and took them to the office. The feedback I got on several different ones is that they were over fried. I agree. You could taste the grease. And one is all you can eat, they're just too much, too rich. I tried the Root Beer Float, but it wasn't all the Root Beery and the filling was too much. So moved on to the Samoa and again, it was overdone and way too much stuff. I did call and talk to the owner who explained why they were so expensive, and he offered to give me some free next time I stopped in. Problem is, I just can't see why I would spend that much for a donut. Organic, fresh ingredients are nice, but it's just a donut. I'm not that worried that my donut is healthy or I wouldn't probably be eating one in the first place. They were very friendly and I'm all for small, local businesses. I just won't be back. Too expensive, too much grease and not the best I've had. Like another reviewer said at that price it'd better be the best donut I've had. There were on the low end of the scale. I might even say I'd prefer a safeway plain to a G&C donut.

Tried these donuts from Weathervane Cafe because I really wanted to try a Cronut. 3 donuts, $14.00! A little pricey in my opinion. I know they are a start-up business and they use fresh, natural ingredients, but I just don't see myself paying that much for donuts. While the cronut was a good size, my other two (bacon maple and red velvet) were pretty small for the price and were not the best I have ever had. I was a bit disappointed not only in sticker shock but the donut itself.

If there was a way to give this place 'no stars' I would... Their donuts were very expensive and unfortunately completely over cooked. One of the donuts was literally so hard the bottom was like a weird donut chip - nearly impossible to cut with a sharp knife. Another of our selection was so saturated in grease it was inedible. The only one that was decent was their 'plain' - and that was really just average... and all this after waiting and waiting for them to finally open. A real disappointment.

Talk about creativity and delicious-ness all rolled into a hand-held treat. I have made a stop into The Weathervane cafe a weekly routine now (my boyfriend adores the Breakfast Donut - maple bacon glazed doughnut with hand-cured bacon), and finally tried one of the other featured flavors myself last weekend. The Tiramisu Love (marsacpone stuffed with espresso glaze dusted with cocoa powder) was divine, and the cakey-treat literally melted in my mouth. I am officially hooked! I went to Voodoo Donuts in Portland, and Glazed and Confused simply BLOWS THEM out of the water. Can't wait to try: Smores Root Beer Float O'Le Sweet & Salty Magically Delicious (St. Pats treat, anyone?!) Yu-um! Thank you for bringing this to Denver!! Sami

OMG the Chunky Monkey is amazing!! I had it two weeks ago, went back to the farmer's market this weekend just for another dough nut and they were already sold out! Get there early, they are worthit!
