I love the fast casual trend. I had a chicken wrap with baba ganoush, tzatziki sauce, feta, and a variety of vegetables. It was soo good! It was better than I expected. The bread wrap was the perfect consistency. I couldn't finish it all, but it is one of my new favorite restaurants.

Fast friendly staff that's incredibly helpful! Food is delicious as well. Vegans love this place!

I hate fast food, and it is hard to give five stars to a fast food restaurant- but- GARBANZO earns it. This is a walk in, order in a line, and carry your food to your seat (or home) concept. I have eaten at this location dozens of times and NEVER had a problem or complaint! The food is always fresh, hot, delicious. The place is always clean. The meals are actually healthy! I always get the plate with all the salads, falafel, dolmades, and hot sauce. YUM! Great little restaurant.

I came here and tried to construct a vegan meal. If you are super strict vegan, probably not the best place as there is some cross contamination. However, there are a lot of vegan options, and it's not bad. Counter service, construct your own entree kinda like Chipotle. They have this cool Pepsi machine, it's almost as cool as the coke machine but unfortunately not quite as cool.

I had just dropped off my car at Discount Tires and realized that I hadn't had lunch and was starting to get hangry. So I asked the salesperson where he'd suggest within walking distance and he said Garbanzo. I had never been to one, so I decided to give them a try. I ordered Falafel in a pita and a side of Dolmas. I really enjoyed my sandwich, tasty falafel balls, hummus and tahini, I was also pleased to see they have Laffa and I will order it in that next time. However, I'll skip the Dolmas next time. I found them mushy and flavorless. I was pleasantly surprised by Garbanzo and will definitely return to one of their locations in the future when I need a quick, healthier meal!

Fast, healthy, delicious, inexpensive. Wish there were more options in LoDo/ Downtown that checked all those boxes!

I have the luxury of living right across the street from this place, in the 13-story highrise. Consequently it's disturbingly easy to meander across the 6 lanes of traffic heading across Colorado to what sits in my mind as "the healthier Chipotle". They are losing money on me with their "take a survey, get a free side of falafel or a soda" - because I have yet to fail to bring back a survey. It's been what, about a dozen sides of falafel now? Maybe 15? It's crazy -- but they keep taking my surveys, and they keep handing me falafel. On a meh day, I get 5 -- on a good day, I get 7 or 8 -- which is really cool and a complete "light meal", esp. with the awesome dipping sauces they have available. I love the chile, but the cilantro and mediterranean apricot vinagrette are really good too. Tzatziki's the "fall-back" sauce here if I'm feeling uninspired; you really can't go wrong with it. I usually get a "laffa" (read: chipotle-sized burrito) stuffed with a lot of veggie choices, little to no rice, steak and/or grilled portabello mushrooms. It ends up being $1-2 cheaper than at Chipotle and marginally healthier/swimming less in caloric molten cheese goo. It also made my 3-week stint at a super lo-carb lifestyle very manageable; if you eat well, you don't even really mind the carbs being gone (I usually got plates then, but 2 or 3 times burritos - noooooo rice!). My one gripe is that they did away with one of their best side dishes I felt: their grilled eggplant; citing lack of consistent quality with the produce as the reason they got rid of it. Ay, Dios mio -- that was a tragedy. I know a few of the servers their by name; and one of them always greets me if he sees me, even if it's an over the shoulder glance at the opening doorway while they're busy with lunch rush. I'm beginning to think I should apply to be Garbanzo's "Jared" - one could do a lot worse shilling oneself out to corporate America. :) If I didn't frequent this place so often, it'd probably merit 4 stars -- but because of the frequency, the consistently tasty fare, and the frequent visitor app which is available via smartphone (where you can rack up rewards), I've got no reason to deny that 5th star. Plus the customer service here is pretty amazing -- I've pounced on issues the few times they've happened (usually with the app), and always been recompensated or better. Good job guys -- keep making S Denver healthier, 1 mouthful at a time.

By far my favorite location in Colorado. The new manager Greg has made a huge difference there! The staff are always friendly and prompt. This is one of the few restaurant establishments I've been to where I can truly tell everyone loves what they do. Adam is always professional and the ladies there are insanely helpful. I would name everyone individually in this review if I could! Their new menu is easier to read and their new Gyro meat is AMAZING! Great place for lunch if you're in the neighborhood. Well done guys!

Usually at Garbanzos they just pile the food onto your plate making it difficult to eat the hummous and babaganoosh with your pita bread. They have a really conscientious kid working the line there who made all the difference by putting my plate together thoughtfully. Good employees make all the difference!

I frequent other Garbanzo locations. But this time I was passing by Colorado blvd during lunch time and was happy to see a familiar name. Unfortunately, I was disappointed this time. Everything tasted extremely salty, and red cabbage was super sour. Will never eat at this location again.

It's a chain... a tasty chain, but still a chain. The food here is generally fresh and tasty. The staff seem friendly and professional. If you're looking for something quick, fresh, and tasty, Garbanzo's is a good place to try.

Dinner for two for $15! Had a falafel plate, portioned well. Husband had gyro plate, which was a much smaller portion. Good tasting food for the price!

I really like the fast casual healthy Mediterranean food concept that is Garbanzo. It's not real authentic Mediterranean food, of course, but it's certainly a different option from the usual salad, sandwich, taco or burger lunch or quick dinner. There are many ways to build your entree. You can do a plate, a pita (white or wheat), or something called a laffa, which I think is a wrap. Proteins options include chicken, steak, falafel, portobello mushroom, and hummus. You can then load up with vegetable salad, rice, tabbouleh, baba ghanoush, pickled eggplant, dolmas and/or any combination of four different sauces/dressings. You will most likely end up with a heavy portion of fresh and tasty food. I guess my main complaint with this location is the parking lot. It's narrow and crowded. They have also designated one space by the front door for pick up of online orders, which is great if you placed your order online but not so good if you just want to park and run in during the lunch rush. Once you get inside, the employees are friendly and helpful. They will offer you a sample of falafel right when you walk in and give you samples of any of the other items to try if you're not sure what to get. All in all, Garbanzo is a great little neighborhood treat.

You'll see me here almost every weekend. Chicken falarma plate with a side of chips and I can die a happy man. There's always a good amount of people passing through and never any long waits. The staff is friendly and compensates for any inconveniences (free sides for long waits, etc) Prices are fair for the quality of food. If you need a quick fix of falafel or tabuleh, I can't recommend any other place for the price.

I had to add this store to Yelp just to give it a review -- the service is too good to go unmentioned. I will go out of my way to go to this specific Garbonzo's store, and I direct my colleagues to choose Garbonzo's at lunch because of the amazing customer service we receive here. Mike, the manager, provides one of the best customer experiences I've had in a while (and I spent 15 years in service and service management). We order online and my team has special dietary needs so the orders can be a little tricky. Mike goes above and beyond to ensure everything is 100% the way we want it, and his team clearly follows his leadership. They are the friendliest, most accommodating staff I've seen at any "faster dining" location. The food is clean and healthy, and the experience is top-notch. I have recommended this location to many friends. Thank you, Mike!!

My wife and I went on a date and decided to eat at this Garbanzo. It was my wife's first time ever eating at any Garbanzo who is a very picky eater because she's allergic to wheat. When we went inside we were offered a free sample, and asked if we had ever been to Garbanzo before. My wife said she had not, and told them she can't eat wheat. The lady behind the counter was extremely helpful and walked through the entire process of helping my wife choose what she wanted to eat. Despite having a small line forming behind us, we were never rushed and were given multiple samples for my wife to try. I've got to tell you ever since my wife found out she can't eat wheat going out to eat has been challenging. Not only does Garbanzo have a ton of gluten free options but the staff was very willing to answer all questions. It was the best experience we had going out to eat since avoiding wheat. Thanks Garbanzo!

I had an excellent gyro wrap with a side of chips. The gyro was delicious as was the vegetable salad, tabouleh, and tsziki! This place will definitely be in my quick go-to rotation. Might even overtake chipotle.

In the realm of Mediterranean food, Garbanzo is A-OK. The basics are covered; falafel, shwarma (both chicken & beef), hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, dolmas on pita or in bowl form. White or wheat pita. I find the chips offering a bit strange, but I'm glad they have their own signature. This is the chain-a-fication of Mediterranean food and as such it's not bad. There are independent places in town I dig more, but Garbanzo does nicely in its own right. One drawback to me is the annoying policy of handing me a greasy falafel ball while I'm standing in line. I've come to just politely pass. I'm in line with no napkin and then I have to pay, plus there's this implication that I've never had a falafel before. I'm sure there are plenty of Americans who are new to the concept, I'm not one of them. It's a nice gesture, but one better severed by simply asking, not by shoving a falafel ball in my face which forces me to look rude when I decline. Tangent over. Flat is the pita construction idea, not stacked. Try to get the stuffings all lined up so each bite has all the stuff. What I don't need is layers where the bottom is nothing but lettuce and the top is nothing but falafel. Even distribution, people. I like the counter service that moves quickly and the self-service drinks and condiments. I like that the staff is on it, and tries to get me through the line quickly. I generally like the food. Not a bad lunch option and the value for money is OK. If you are a vegetarian, Garbanzo is probably a welcomed addition to the food choices in Denver.

Not much to say here, not really sure why I checked in (addict) but yep, it's a chain and it's all good. They finally have Gyro's (HOORAY!) which aren't too bad. It's right by World of Beer so if I need something "healthy" to snack on, I usually come here.

Wowow. I'm obsessed with Garbanzo. I can't get enough! I wish they had one in California so I didn't have to wait till I come back to Colorado to get my fix. It's literally exactly like Chipotle, but Mediterranean style. Every single thing on the menu is delicious.

Let me start by saying, I am not a huge fan of mediterranean food. That being said, Who doesn't love a good falafel? I went in overwhelmed because as someone who doesn't eat med. food, what the heck am I going to order. WELL! They have every option well-labeled, with dietary info like gluten free and veg. I'm not either of those, but hey, good to know. As someone who knows people with dietary restrictions and working in the industry, it's comforting to see a company care about that. Also, they offer samples. Super! and you can get your food however you want. I got the steak falafel pita. (not the legit name, but its what it was) and the condiments and stuffers were so fresh and yummy. The food was really tasty and I'm glad I tried this place. ALSO!!!! MINT-LEMONADE!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!??? I'd go back just for that beverage. haha.

Garbanzo is a delicious break from your traditional fast food restaurants. The Mediterranean flavors are quite tasty and can become addictive. The hummus and garlic sauce are my two favorites, but I love to mix everything together is a big, delicious bite. The free falafel when you walk in the door is icing on the cake!

I'm not usually a fan of chains...and more importantly "fast" food. But, wowzers, I love Garbanzo! The ingredients are fresh, the staff friendly, the service top notch and the choices different and fun! Perfect combo for a lunch for me!!

OK, it's been a while since I was in here, and my mental hard drive has been erased a couple of times since then, not to the extent of a Jason Bourne but I'll give it my best to remember all that I can. A few weeks back I had lunch here with one of my closest friends and we both are always looking for something healthy when we go out to eat. So after tossing several ideas around, we decided on Garbanzo, having both never eaten here before. Now right off the bat I remember this place is very energetic and friendly as soon as you walk in the door I mean. I was a bit overwhelmed as a piece of falafel was being pushed all up in my grill as I had no idea what the hell this strange item was to begin with. So being the daring person I am, (at least when it comes to food) I took one. Really there's nothing daring about trying falafel, either you're down or you're not. If the election were based on falafel alone, I would surely be an undecided voter. I was also overwhelmed by the menu, and the seemingly unlimited choices, so I asked the staff for their suggestions. They were more than helpful and I came away having enjoyed a healthy lunch and a good price. Next time I wont feel so overwhelmed.

Garbanzo is KICKASS. And I dislike chains. Passionately. Basically, Garbanzo is your Mediterranean answer to Chipotle. Almost the same setup but with different food, obviously. Everything was super fresh. If you wanted to, you could eat healthy here. The options are endless. You may even be overwhelmed when you first walk in. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the falafel, hummus, and baba ghanoush were. Please come to Cleveland, Garbanzo! Please?

  • Kelci M.

My office moved to the Glendale area in the middle of last year and I've been to this particular Garbanzos at least once a month since then. I have to say, I feel as though quality has gone down hill over time, to the point that I'll likely stop going. The rice has repeatedly been dry and hard, the pita I received on my most recent trip was completely dry, outside and in, and I've also had a few very questionable items end up in my food. (I almost always take it to go, so I haven't been able to find out how they'd handle a complaint about it.) I give them credit for their perpetually friendly staff, but that doesn't overcome the recurring issues with the food.

  • David S.

I have already reviewed the Garbanzo's nearest me, and in summary, I like the healthier options offered at Garbanzo's when I am in need of a faster food meal. I ate at this Granbanzo's, and the only thing that I would add to my earlier comments about the Garbanzo's concept, is that the Manager at this location, Robert was absolutely great. He was friendly to the kids, and with a small problem that we had with our meal, he immediately and appropriately took care of it.

  • Meg H.

I have eaten at 3 different Garbanzos restaurants but this one is closest to my house so I eat here most often. I wish every city had this great chain of restaurants. It's a Chipotle concept for Mediterranean food. I am not a fan of either fast food or chain restaurants, but recognize there are some exceptions, and Garbanzo is the best example of that. When you first walk in you are greeted by a friendly (I'm not kidding...ALL of the employees are super friendly) person offering you a sample of falafel, which I love. You can munch on that while you peruse the semi-confusing (until you get used to it) menu. I typically order a plate, as opposed to a pita or laffa, mainly because I like to watch my bread intake. You get a choice of protein with accompanying sides. I will either order the falafel or kabobs. For the sides, there are a ton to choose from. I love their rice, but typically (to make it healthy) order 2 sides of the signature vegetable salad or the babaganoush. SO good, and guilt-free. The meal comes with white or whole wheat pita, which I always forgo, and they always offer me the opportunity to exchange it for chips, but I never do. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you want a really good, fresh, healthy meal, you can get it here. You can also get a very high calorie, fresh, healthy meal. Your choice. The service is friendly and fast, and their loyalty program is especially good. I seem to get some special deal every week in my email. I also love the fact that they have nutritional information on their menu and on their website. The first time I went here the price seemed a little high, but I then realized that the portions are pretty big, and I usually bring some home, so I now think it's pretty cheap.

It was my first time in, so I got to sample the falafel and was immediately sold! I got the plate and was so happy I did. It was a little bit of everything. The food is delicious and so reasonably priced!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Garbanzo. As previous reviews have stated, it's in the Chipotle/Subway, "go through and pick individual toppings" style of fast food. But that's where the fast food similarities end. The ingredients are always very fresh - I've never had wilted lettuce or anything that didn't look like it wasn't plucked from the ground that day. And it's always, always delicious. I could eat here every day. And I wouldn't feel guilty about it, because it's all very healthy. The only minor complaints I could make are that the decor leaves a lot to be desired (the interiors kind of look like a middle school cafeteria), but that's honestly just me trying to nitpick. Definitely give Garbanzo a try.

I picked up lunch today at Garbanzo, and will never go back. I got a steak plate. The girl behind counter gave me old rice that was the bottom of the pan. I asked if I could get fresh rice and she said no, they didn't have any. Then she gave me hardly any steak. When I grabbed my pita to put in my to-go bag, it was cold and you could tell it was dry. I asked if I could get a fresh pita and a different girl said, no I am sorry this is all we have. I am not high maintenance, and I understand you get what you pay for. But this place is a joke.

The two reviews right below this one say it all. Great customer service and a scrumptious variety of food options for both carnivores and vegetarians alike! They recently added grilled portabellos to their protein options, which are super delicious. Can't go more than a week or two without craving something from here. The most cost-effective meal option here is the plate, which comes with a pita of your choice -- I can usually get a dinner and lunch out of this one! Another bonus: they're open till 10, which is great for those of us whose dinnertime falls after 8...

Amazing fresh Mediterranean food that is consistently delicious! Creamy Hummus, smoky Baba Ganouj, mouth-watering Grilled Eggplant, crunchy Falafel, fresh-baked Pita Bread, great array of sauces. For under $7 a generous plate of food with enough to share or take home, two brewed iced teas for those of us who don't drink soda pop. This place is awesome for entertaining meat-free diners, but I can have my steak Shwarma. Super-friendly staff -- Luke is a standout for friendliness and upbeat energy, all my friends want to take Mike home, Christine is sweet and attentive. They must have an amazing manager to build such a team.

The restaurant follows a fast food model similar to Chipolte, only it's much better. The food was very fresh and the portions were generous. The people working the counter were very friendly and helpful and the dining area was clean. Today was my first visit. If they can maintain the current level of quality and efficiency, they'll be a wild success. Update - June 2012 - I've been to this location at least a dozen times since my first review. The service and food have been consistently good.

  • P. R. M.

Chipotle was my favorite fast food place before I tried Garbanzo. The food tastes great, the ingredients are so fresh that one can feel the freshness with crunchy bites into a pita sandwich. I also like their lentil soup as that balances the cold salad feel of pita sandwich. I absolutely love this option of fresh fast food. YAY for this place!

Garbanzo's is now in several locations. I've eaten at three or four different ones and they have proven to be all the same as far as quality of food goes. Design of the place is similar too. I like this place. I like that I can pick and choose what I want to eat and make the combination of my choice. It's sort of like a Chipotle that serves Mediterranean food. For me the key to a good Mediterranean restaurant is the hummus and the pita. Both are awesome here. So that basically nails it for me. I seem to continue to get the "Plate." Recently I have been having the Falarma with chicken. The chicken is tasty and I like the Falafel. There are tabletop signs touting the Mediterranean diet and all its benefits. That may be true. Hopefully it is. What I know for sure is the Falarma Plate is very good, and has a ton of calories and carbohydrates. I'm holding out hope that all those carbs are "the good carbs."

Same food as all the others. It IS A CHAIN. Very friendly staff. My wife got shorted a falafel ball in her pita and they brought 5 balls to make up for it. They are going for "world domination" and I wish Alon Mor all the best on his quest.

The first time I went here, I was completley overwhelmed with all of my options and had no idea what to do. Luckly, the nice guy behind the counter helped me through it, let me sample pretty much everything, and I ended up walking away with a pretty tasty meal. I love all of their vegetarian options and it has a great healthy feel to it.

This place is awful and flavorless. The sad thing is there are so many places in this area that serve Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food that is about 10 times better. Please don't eat here.

So good! Every time I've been here the staff is really friendly, the place is really clean, and best of all the food is great! I cannot find hummus as good as theirs in the store, so I sometimes buy a half-pint to take home.

Love this place! So many great vegan options, clearly labeled. I always get the plate and heap it with so many delicious offerings. It's a large quantity of food, so I always have leftovers for lunch the next day. The hummus isn't a revelation or anything, but it's good. The pickled vegetables are worth the trip alone. Yum! Good falafel. Amazing lemonade. My favorite is the mint lemonade, my little girl prefers the pomegranate. Both super tasty!
