We had a Chinook coupon to use here and went for it. We probably won't return without the coupon deal since the ingredients weren't fresh and there was no other milk option than nonfat milk.

This place deserves more props. The selection of smoothies is huge. All are very healthy, with a majority of the smoothies being fruit based. There are no veggie based smoothies. I was a bit disappointed by this, but after speaking with the owner, he explained no one really wants those, so it's just to difficult and wasteful to keep the veggies on stock. I guess I'm the only weirdo who craves veggie smoothies! Bummer for me, but it makes sense. ' The place is spotless. The staff is really nice and very helpful. They know their nutrition here and can guide you in the right direction. So next time you're in the SE hood, check out Emerald City-Go Local!!!

My man boy (who has earned the nickname 'Smoothie C' due to his over-the-top love for smoothies) and I wanted to try a new smoothie establishment instead of the usual big chain. We yelped it up and found Emerald City Smoothie. Game-changer. These smoothies are delectable. The fruit is the highest quality and they truly create the greatest smoothie in all existence. I regularly crave Emerald City's fresh smoothies. They also have a wide range of nutritious boosts you can add to your smoothie. My favorite smoothie is Raspberry Dream. It is raspberry, strawberry, nonfat milk, energy mix, an protein. It is perfect! They have the nutritional value listed next to each drink which is very helpful. The staff is always friendly and ready to assist you. I absolutely love Emerald City Smoothie and am sure you will as well!

I'm obsessed with their peanut passion smoothie! I've tried a couple other smoothies from Emerald that we're good as we'll but the PP smoothie is filled with strawberries and peanut butter and tastes like a dessert.

This place has THE BEST smoothies! After working out at Orange Theory Fitness with my guy, we were feeling beat, and seriously needed fuel. I was scared to drive I was so dizzy. We took a look around. Our options were Chili's and Emerald City Smoothies. We made the right choice. This place doesn't have much going on with the decor, aside from some brochures pertaining to fitness, etc. The smoothies aren't cheap, but they are a good value considering they have the nutrients you need after an intense workout next door. I got the PB&J, it was AMAZING! It tasted just like a PB&J! I was so happy. A small was enough to fill me up. Totally coming back next time we are close by and need a smoothie fix.

I love smoothies! But they are just OK here. My work is walking distance from Emerald City Smoothie and I've visited more than 10 times... why? Because I love smoothies! But I just haven't found anything I love here. I've tried smoothies across the board from the fruity ones to the chocolate kind! There are a lot of options, yes. But nothing tastes that good. Maybe I'm missing something, but I only come here because it is nearby and convenient. They do have a punch card for frequent customers that I have filled up for a free smoothie twice! Hopefully, I'll find some favorites soon.

I just happened to be in the neighborhood and I thought, "I could go for something smooth." So low and behold here comes the Emerald City. And smooth it was...I would definitely come back again for another round. For me, the weirdest part was the huge wall of HUGE canisters of that protein, build muscle, milkshake, 12-times boost, protein, muscle max, protein stuff. I understand being healthy but the whole wall? It's a bit much IMHO. I did really like that they have a whole line of health bars and snack item for sale which is really cool. Lots of things to grab and munch on... I have to say that the staff is very nice and welcoming. I was promptly greeted upon arrival and felt very taken care of throughout the course of my transaction. Politeness goes a long way in my book so they get top scores for that. Customer service is a hard biz for some people but they do it well here. As you enter, the entire wall to the right is the menu. There are so many options you might not know where to start. My eye went right to the raspberry option and it was perfection. You can add oodles of other goodies to your smoothie for an additional charge. I think the multiple options are great and adds appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Very cool place - and not just because the drinks are cool. Not only do you get the sweet goodness of a smoothie but you are also being healthy. At least that's what I'll tell myself when I crave something smooth from the Emerald City.

I had to take off two stars :( Dear owner, your employees have a lot better understanding of customer service than you do! You should change your attitude. If smile is not in your nature you may try to throw a "thank you" once in a while. This place reminds me of my closet- too much to choose from!!!! They have great selection, healthy choices for any taste and stuff for kids :)

Emerald City - for the smoothie lover who needs to know what's under the hood. Good stuff. The comprehensive menu listing shows calories and grams of protein in addition to the contents of the smoothie. I really enjoyed the Zip Zip and the Berry Berry (I'm not sure why I picked the two that have the double names, but it just worked out that way). Service was easy to deal with and quick to produce the product. The store is clean and well organized. You can buy nutritional supplements and they also have a cooler full of waters and other drinks. I will most definitely return. This shopping area can be difficult to navigate for parking, but that is not entirely uncommon for this part of Colorado Boulevard.

I'm new to the smoothie world, I must admit.... However, the ladies that work here are so nice and didn't mind me not knowing what I was really ordering. They were very informative and definitely seemed to know what they were talking about. I ordered the moldy banana and it was delicious! I'll definitely be back!

Solid smoothie joint in Denver. They probably have about 50 smoothies you can choose from ranging from super light fruit ones to more indulgent protein varieties. The place also has different types of protein and meal replacement bars if you need a quick pick-me-up. Price was right and smoothies were really good! Definitely a perfect stop for a liquid meal.

By far one of the best smoothie shops I have ever been into. Great ingredients, good pricing, quick and rarely any wait. The staff is incredibly friendly. I try to to get something new every time and rarely find myself disappointed. Make sure to try their staff created concoctions. My present favorite is the little Cocomo.

Stopped by here in need of a boost after an exhausting day and wasn't disappointed! We chose two of the employee picks, and they were both exactly what we were looking for.

Super duper good!!! Everytime I've gone I have loved my smoothie!!!!! This is pretty much my favorite healthy snack place with delicious smoothies and healthy boosts. So far I've only tried to chocolate strawberry and matcha but both were awesome!

I happened in here completely by accident during one disturbingly long drive down Colorado Ave and I'm so glad I came in. The most mind-blowing selection of smoothies!! And I'm so over Jamba Juice. If you like smoothies and want options, come in here. You won't be disappointed!!

Always a great smoothie after a workout. The staff is super nice and the place is always clean. Great variety of smoothies; my favorites includes the zone zinger, re-juvanayor, and the eternal energizer. Delicious mixes!

Sometimes, after my regular visits to the gym on Saturday mornings, I like to come by here and get a smoothie. I love smoothies - I likes the yellow, banana ones, and I like the one with peanut butter and strawberry AND banana. With protien AND fat burner to cancel out the peanut butter. I'm totally sure that works. (fyi - when these become yellow, banana booze filled smoothies, I'm going to have a small crisis.) cheers

The smoothies aren't bad. I ordered an employee creation with apple, mango and protein. It wasn't too sweet and I didn't taste any protein chalk flavor. It was $6 for a small, (16oz) so not that cheap. But a smoothie should be a meal substitute so I won't complain about the price too much. The parking lot is annoying though.

The biggest difference in Emerald City Smoothie for me is how many smoothies they make that include peanut butter as an ingredient! Sure, they've got tons of fruity options, but it's refreshing (ha!) to see the savory choices as well. The other big difference is that it seems every smoothie has a purpose - to help one lose weight, have more energy, bulk up, etc. And they do this by including various types of protein powders or things like that. All the calories and ingredients are listed out on the wall which is nice and can help you track that stuff if you are interested in doing so. And the gal working here when Nick and I stopped in was very pleasant. It's another chain like my friends over at Jamba Juice, but definitely different and worth a try!

I stopped by EC Smoothie on a cold, gray, rainy May Saturday afternoon to burn off a LivingSocial coupon. Predictably, it was dead. But I blame that on the weather, not on the quality of their smoothies. Because they're yum-yummy, and fruity. So. If you look at their wall, or their website, you can either view all their smoothie products as a whole, or select a smoothie under a specific goal: "treat my body", "bulk me up", or "low sugar" being just a few categories. Being diabetic, smoothies are somewhat of a bane to my existence...so I was very wary about seeing "low sugar". It's not low-low, but low enough that I can consume a whole one without flopping over in a sugar coma, about 35g or under. I had the straw-banana-papaya combo, their "Island Breeze". Very fruity, and satisfying, not watered down or lacking in flavor like I might have feared a low-sugar product to be. I checked out their nutritional info, which is posted on their wall as well as their website, clearly, for a 24oz smoothie. It's understandable and not misleading. Another well-known smoothie chain with the initials JJ (cough) says "Average J-Light smoothie - 75 calories and 13 grams of sugar" - and *yet*, when you look under their "nutritional info" link, it turns out to be 39-51g sugar for a 24oz container. What does this other chain consider "an average smoothie" - a tablespoonful?? Irritating to have to interpret. EC gets points for splattering it, so to speak, onto your eyeballs in the familiar USDA label form. There are extra carbs in EC's smoothies that aren't coming from sugar, so one has to wonder if they are counting the fruits or not as carbs. Regardless of whatever method of measuring they're using, it's damned tasty stuff. (I can only imagine what a full-on sugared one is like...cake frosting, maybe? :) ) You can, of course, "health-up" your smoothie with protein powders, vitamin supplements, and other additives as well. This place not only has smoothies for sale, but also a decent variety of "healthy" snacks, power drinks & bottled water, even supplements. I took piccies. Go look. It's almost like it's half smoothie-joint, half supplement palace. Staff is very friendly, and I'm boosting them an extra star because my LivingSocial coupon said it all had to be used in 1 visit. 24oz smoothies tend to average $5 here, so I was looking at jamming 3 smoothies into my freezer. Not needed, thanks to the kindly manager who wrote me a voucher for the remainder of the coupon. VERY useful -- kudos to you for doing that; that's just going to make people happier. :) And yeah, the location's a bit off the beaten trail...it's on the downhill slope of Colorado Blvd as you're heading towards Alameda, in the 2-story brick strip mall that's there. I hope that doesn't stop them from becoming successful here, because they're doing a damned good job so far. Looking forward to my next 3 visits here...and probably more as the weather gets hotter!

I have to give this place five stars because today I had the best smoothie of my life. It was so good. Hula Skirt I think it was called. This place has a ton of options. The fruit they make it with must be very fresh. It tasted that way anyway, even if it wasn't. There were lots of "boost" options you could add to your smoothie to give it a good punch of whatever you want. I will definitely be back to this place.

So LivingSocial ran a deal for this place and I purchased it. I'd previously seen a Weekly Plus deal, but I have only purchase one of them and frankly I am of the mindset if it's too cheap, is it really worth having? So I tend to shy away from Weekly Plus. Anyway, I figured since the credit was for $20 and you redeemed the offer and got a giftcard or voucher for the rest, it would give me time to properly assess if the place was worth it and get to sample its wares. Call me a fan! I love a place that lists out approximate nutritional values and had different options, such a low sugar, lean me up, give me energy, etc. Thus far, I've been here twice and each time enjoyed my smoothie. I've ordered a smoothie with whey protein powder and ordered smoothies out of my usual repertoire and each time I have been pleasantly surprised. I also prefer the smaller 16 oz. size, which Emerald offers. I like the options that Emerald City Smoothie offers and will be back, even when I've used up my Living Social voucher.

I've stopped in here a couple of times while running errands in the area for a quick, healthy meal. The smoothies are tasty, have lots of healthy stuff thrown in besides the fruits. My personal favorite is the Zone Zinger. The menu is great, the categorize the smoothies (eg: bulk me up/energize me/help me lose weight) and it's also nice that they list all the ingredients in each smoothies on the menu and they also list the calorie/fat/protein content. They also have the Weight Watchers points posted up by the cash register. My only gripe/concern is the location. It's in a strip mall off Colorado Blvd. near the Whole Foods/Home Depot plaza. It's not really convenient for me unless I'm in the area so I'm not sure how much traffic they get in general. Their smoothies are tasty, so I hope their able to make it!

Holy cow batman, this place is great! It's no secret that I love smoothies, but in my quest to be healthier I gave them up since they are mostly sugar... Until I found Emerald City Smoothie! The menus are listed clearly on the wall and by category "low sugar" "low fat" etc. The best part though is that under each smoothie not only do they list the ingredients but they also have 3 numbers under each one. These numbers represent calories, saturated fat, and PROTEIN! Finally I can allow smoothies back into my food intake since I can clearly decide based on protein and such! This may not be a big deal to some people but with all the sports I play I need constant protein and getting it from fruit is awesome! They also have a frequent user card and they keep them there! So, never again do you have to remember your snazzy punch card instead just tell them your name and they will pull your card out. It's also the only location in the Denver metropolis so it's not like you need your card for another location. Also, even though they are located just doors away from GNC, I like that they carry a small selection of protein supplements, AND if you aren't craving a smoothie, they also have a few really good hot tea varieties.

This place is great for health nuts. My daughter has diabetes and they were helpful by getting me all the necessary carb information so I could make a healthy selection for her. They are tasty too.

Having just moved to Denver from Tallahassee, I was homesick for my beloved Tropical Smoothie and felt a deep, blended beverage void in my loins. I eventually could stand it no longer, and decided to check out the nearest smoothie joint - conveniently, it was Emerald City. I ordered my go-to smoothie, a standard banana/strawberry/protein combo. It was perfect, possibly better than the ones back home - dare I admit that. Next time, I'm going for the extremely tempting seasonal pumpkin blend. My entire party (including a housemate who nearly refused to branch out and betray his smoothie loyalty) left pleased with our orders, and smiling from the awesome employee - who even offered to attempt to recreate out favorite hometown smoothies. They also have an option to layer your frozen creation with granola, yes please!

Best selection and best tasting smoothies in town. Super staff too. We got a living social coupon some time ago and thanks to that we have a new favorite smoothie spot. They are very conscientious about what they put in their drinks and special requests are not a problem. They also publish the calories, fat and protein of each drink to help you make an informed decision of what you put in your body.

Yummy. The flavors they have for the smoothies are alot. Everything that I've ordered has been really good. They even switched the milk protein and milk base smoothies to soy. I really like the extra energy boast that you can add. The size of the smoothie is nice too and I usually can have one as a meal.

Just as yummy as Jamba Juice. Pretty much the same thing.
